2010 Sumas Way, Abbotsford, BC V2S 2C7, Canada
Smaller restaurant than some of the other Ricky's but love the vibe and decor. Friendly staff. Was seated right away and attentive service. The only negative was that you could smell the fried food smell lingering from the kitchen out into the restaurant. Overall, a good experience and would return
Had this delicious veggie pizza, strawberry pancakes, Nutella, on our way back from Abbotsford. Accessible location. Greta service. Freshly cooked dishes
Love their $11.99 Mon- Fri breakfast - Two eggs any style, bacon or sausage, choice of toast and cubed taters. I really enjoy talking with Faye in the mornings at Breakfast. Lots of other breakfast options such as avocado toast, eggs Benny, pancakes, Omlettes and brioche French toast!
My husband and I each had a very tasty omlette with the fixings. Very good size omlette. The coffee was hot and strong and the waitress refilled my tea pot when asked. The server was nice and we felt well looked after. The only downfall to our breakfast visit was the manager.
The first time we ate there it was a convenience - just happened to spot a place when hungry. The subsequent visits were the quite intentional. We like the spacious dining area. The fireplace in the middle is not intrusive and adds a touch of warmth in the winter and a measure of privacy to the booths in the back. The portions of the breakfast platters are generous. I finished my hash for the first time in a long time. I like the bell pepper and onion mixed in the potato adding a touch of sweetness and contrasting texture to the crispy chunks of spud. I also like the relatively light syrup. Sweet but not over powering my waffles and French toast that were perfectly golden and still soft inside. The staff was attentive and efficient.
The Sumas Ricky’s is my favourite restaurant. I accidentally put a review for the wrong location. I always go to Sumas location for years now. They give the best service. The people are very accommodating. The food is excellent. The price is reasonable. I highly recommend this place. We’ve try a few Ricky’s around the province and by far this is the best Ricky’s.
I like going to this Ricky's location. The interior has a unique design palette that represents both Ricky's Cafe and Famoso Pizzeria. I had the Chorizo & Eggs Crepes, which were thick and fluffy and had gooey cheese. They were served with red potato hashbrowns. I enjoyed their coffee as well. I also had their Tuscan Forno Chicken pizza and it was good. The toppings were delectable and the crust tastes authentic, though a little thin. The workers were admirable with their professions and saw no problem to point out. I really enjoy coming to this Ricky's location for their standout choices and I would check it out if you are in the Sumas area.
We came here for a little family dinner night. We don’t go out often with the little kids and we figured this would be a great place to try. We were the only ones in there for quite sometime and the staff were on top of it. They were so friendly and happy to help us. We placed our orders and they brought the kids meals first which was AMAZING because they were getting squirmy. The pizza was good and the pasta was nice. The only thing that made this place lose a star was the food… it’s just whatever. Nothing to write home about or rave about. It tasted fine, kinda on the expensive side but we left with full bellies. Overall the staff were amazing and the food was mediocre.
Great staff, amazing food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I love that you can see the pizza kitchen. We had the omelets and pork schnitzel, fantastic.
Jimmy is amazing! The service is always friendly and fast, the food is great. Highly recommend this secret little awesome spot!!
The host was great, the waitress was spot on. Well done. Dietary restrictions: Dairy Free, not an issue. HP sauce NOT an issue. Food : 5/5 |
Food was good, service was excellent
Doing a good job. Service has been a bit slow a couple times in the past but overall good. Food
Rethink this location. Not only are they serving sour bad chorizo pork but the manager (Jimmy) take on it all was really unprofessional. The pork was bad, there was no arguing about it. When pork is bad it has a sour smell. Bringing it to the managers attention and all he could say was we have been serving it all morning Read the Fraser health inspection reports and it makes sense why they are serving bad food. They cannot regulate their cooler or breakfast prep station. Also don t you love eating off of dirty utensils. Save your money, and the headache and eat at a different location.
Absolutely loved it here! Great location, positive vibes and food was great! Definitely a place Id come to often!
It s fantastic Breakfast lunch and dinner place .. added Famoso added another 10 stars..
Absolutely love the strawberry pancakes and they have great coffee! The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is super friendly. Will come back for sure :))
Had the most amazing grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. Great service with a smile and will be back again.
Was staying at coast hotel and had the wrong menu pulled up and asked for the braised short rib. They didn t have them on the menu anymore but still made it work! And it was delicious! Will come back to try more next time I m in town.
We came here for the second time in two weeks. Had the 8oz burger and primavera pizza. The burger was perfect, the meat was juicy and thick, and there was lots of cheese. The fries were hot and crispy. The pizza was really good, the crust was perfect and there was loads of toppings. Our server was Jackie, and she was awesome. All the staff are friendly and super helpful. Dont be put off by the awkward location, this is an excellent place to get good basic food and the right price.
Shout out to Jimmy and his service. Food was great. The service was great. The prices not so great.
Ordered Margherita pizza 12 which totalled around $20 with tax. Really the only redeeming quality was the crust which seemed gourmet and well cooked. Otherwise, I found the pizza lack tomato sauce. The cheese had a funky smell to it (I dont know if fresh cheese should smell like this, but it seemed off). Lacked salt and flavor. Oceans Pizza was miles better: if youre going to pay premium price then at least get your moneys worth.
Great service, food was very good , crispy hash browns! Nothing was soggy it was nice to eat at a Rickys that the staff actually cares about quality of the food being served. Restaurant was very clean and organized.
Very impressed with this quint little restaurant.
Was going to share a photo but looks so good I forgot and just ate it. Ricky s SLAPS
Nice little place to meet up with friends and family. The service is excellent and staff very friendly.
Wonderful Staff & Great Boss Turkey dinner Large portions really worth it They got to know us as Mom & daughter cause I took mom there for her 81 Birthday . Great Place & Yes Highly Recommend
We went on valentines day, it was fantastic experience, ambience was so lovable and it s must recommended to visit them :-)
Bit of a pain to get into but best of both worlds with Rickys and Famoso Pizza. Fast friendly service and reasonably priced too. Food
In a word, FANTASTIC! The food, the service 10/10!
First time at this new location in Abbotsford. First our breakfast order was wrong. When it arrived the food was not properly cooked and I couldnt eat it. Our server did not offer to fix it and then she brought the bill. Honestly, Ive never had such a terrible dining experience. Who expects payment for inedible food? Definitely do not recommend and will not go back.
My friend and I decided to eat here today, the service was terrible. I asked for a new glass of my beverage because it tasted off. Manager made excuses as to say the glass was clean, when in fact it tasted like onions. My pizza that I ordered was the worst pizza Ive ever had. I told the manager that we would not be coming back.
Breakfast was great
We have stopped in twice over the holidays. Once for breakfast on Boxing Day when our power had gone out and also for an early dinner on NewYears Eve. I had the traditional eggs benny and the 2nd time I had the Margarita pizza with salad. Staff were all friendly, meals were hot and cooked perfectly and our coffee was always topped up!! We enjoyed everything and we will be back!
I would not recommend going here if you have celiac or a gluten intolerance. The server assured me the toast was gf, but it definitely wasnt. I had a feeling while eating it, but I unfortunately didnt listen to my instincts, paying for that now.
Vegetarian options: Awesome Wheelchair accessibility: Awesome Food : 5/5 |
Parking: There is a mall with parking a very short walk directly north if parking is unavailable. Food
It was OK.. Original Ricky attached to the hotel is much better Vegetarian options: Need more vegetarian optiins Food : 3/5 |
Would never order from them again horrible customer service I ordered chicken strips and fries they came and were over cooked and tasted terrible called the store and the manager wouldn t do anything said he would lose money would never recommend going there!
I only eat breakfast at Rickys (have for nearly 25 years between here and the Murrayville location), so YMMV with the lunch/dinner menu. Simply my favourite breakfast spot in Abby. Partly because of how patient they are with me, and partly because theyre super friendly and remember my order ever week. Waitressing staff is awesome, though you sometimes have to get their attention (no biggie, I actually enjoy that vibe). Portions are large enough to be worth what youre paying, but not crazy sized, except the Grand Forks Slam. If you can put that away, youre a machine. Really cant recommend highly enough. Ill be going there tomorrow if theyre open!
Great place to enjoy a good breakfast
Its not your average Rickys restaurant, paired with Famouso it takes a step up in all areas. I was actually pleasantly surprised when I ordered thru skip, truly. There must be a chef here thats dialed it in.
Excellent breakfast will go there again when I m in town.
Best rickys ever we come from Langley just to eat here
Came with high hopes to Rickys as we are frequent and satisfied diners at the adjacent Old Spaghetti Factory, but we were overwhelmingly disappointed with the service, and most importantly, food in terms of quality and quantity. Save your money, and enjoy somewhere else where they value your presence as well as your taste buds!
The service was great, loved our server, but the hollandaise was to sour. And the coffee was garbage water. Hated it. Price was decent
The food was great and service friendly and fast overall great place to grab a bite!
Our visit was awful..first off the waitresses were awful and showed they didnt care. We paid 16$ for 2 mimosas in the tiniest glass and it was even filled up all the way. Breakfast was definitely not worth the price. Spent $75 for two adults and 1 child. We will never go back.
They serve a wonderful breakfast. Must definitely check out!
Me and my boyfriend came for breakfast and this was the best experience. First time coming and the servers were great along with the managers being polite!! Can t waitt to come back for the delicious food and experience.
Nice, cozy diner. Not your typical Rickys, small but cozy. Good service, good food. They also have a pizza restaurant inside. Would like to try that too.
Clean place, good service. We ordered a pizza it was delicious, not like our Brazilian pizza which has a lot more cheese....
My wife and I went to Famosa Pizza in the same restaurant. We ordered a half and half pie. Naples style thin crust baked in a wood fired oven. Well return and try different pizzas until weve tried them all! Food : 5/5 |
Fresh Ingredients and Variety of items on the menu. We liked it
First time here. Not that busy. Coffee was ok. Breakfast was tasty and portion size was normal. As it was quite its didnt help with the atmosphere. Maybe Ill go again but not in the near future. Got to try other places
Our favourite place for brunch!
Really delicious food, a reasonable prices and a nice variety of menus. Staff was friendly and efficient. Not a ton of parking and on a very busy corner of Abbotsford. Sometimes hard to enter an exit. Parking: Parking is limited and its on a very busy corner of Abbotsford, kind of hard to get in and out sometimes
Not too busy and very friendly staff. Food prices were a little high, overall it was a good experience.
The problem here is they dont have enough servers ever and a lack of experience. The food is good. But people need their coffee right away not 25 mins after they are seated. Felt bad for the girl who was left to manage all thos people.
First time here. Was feeling like an omelet. But apparently this restaurant doesnt make a traditional one. literally an egg patty with all the fixings thrown inside no cheese melted to hold it together at all. Their mimosas are made half and half not good at all
Nice place. Very clean, great food. People were very nice too. I went here a few times while staying in Abbotsford and it was great every time.
The service was great from the time we walked in. This location was very clean and has a good atmosphere. We all ordered fish and chips, and the chips were great. But the fish was greasy. The prices are good for the amount of food you receive.
Service was pretty unmatched in this town. Our waitress was friendly and funny keeping up with my quips and making sure our drinks were filled without even asking. That s props in my book. Small word of caution to patrons, this is an open view style seating so there is no partition between the restaurant and the seating area. This makes it a lot louder than you may be expecting.
Save your time and go to the other Rickys located in Abbotsford. Multiple things on the menu weren t available, for both food & alcohol. Food was boring and plain. Ordered a eggs benny with avocado & tomatoes and the avocados were brown/black and the bread was very burnt. Ordered chicken and waffles but their waffle maker was broken so we ordered double bacon to replace, they charged us 10$ for 6 tiny pieces of bacon, and did not cut the cost even though they had no waffles. Environment is weird and overall disappointing. I would give a 0/5 stars if possible.
Just new Nice and clean Good service Nice menu
Went in for famoso pizza and my wife ordered a margarita pizza and it came out as a normal cheese pizza with basil. We had to explain how to make a margarita pizza and show pictures. They re response to this was sorry we have only been open 3 weeks there still learning pizzas. They were rude and the overall experience was not good. They also would not accept our gift card.
Good food. GREAT staff and friendly owner. Smaller so more of an intimate feel. The fireplace adds to the feel. Very clean. If you are a fan of Rickys or Famoso than you will enjoy this place.
Fantastic food and service! We had a great experience today.
Friendly waitress took our order, but what was next was ridicules, fish and chips getting made, no show on pizza. Watched pizza maker walking around talking on phone. Wife s fish and chips made it to the table, pizza was slowly getting made one handed, she was still on her phone laughing. She was manager. Told her forget it as it was ridiculous the pizza wasn t even made yet. Will never go here again.
was our first time here. me and my boyfriend was waiting for get serve when people come after us got serve before us. been black we get treated like nothing. I call one serve and ask her to call our server to order. why can you Train people better in this place feel worse while sitting here to get serve. management should contact me for this matter. never coming back here.
Awful. The lady in the kitchen screwed up order after order. Our toast was only tosted on one side. How do you mess up toast? Part way threw our stay another woman came into work I assume she was the manager. She was talking on her cellphone while cooking. Our breakfast sausage was unbeatable.and I only was offered 1 cup of coffee.
Not a good experience. Our server was inattentive and we waited very long for everything including for the food to come out or refills or check ins. We ordered pancakes and it was difficult to get our servers attention or any other staffs attention to get maple syrup. It just seemed like we were being ignored. Food was okay but the owner was nice. I hope they train their staff better so they dont lose customers.
The French toast was very delicious.
Fresh breakfast, clean, good service with good pricing.
Margherita pizza was so water/ oily that I couldnt pick it up to eat it. Had to use a fork and knife to pick up the mush pieces. Also the tomato soup I got as my side didnt even have a hint of warm temperature to it.
After this little building sat empty for ages, love what theyve turned it into. My husband and I pulled in on a whim while out running Saturday errands. Great breakfast, cute redecorating, lovely service, and 5 minutes from our house. Well be back!
Went for the first time with my wife. They only had a choice of 2 beers so I ordered the lager and it came out with the top 3rd of the glass full of head and the rest beer. The beer was from a craft brewery in Chilliwack and was good but obviously they didnt know how to pour... We decided to order off the Rickys menu and it is very limited compared to the other Rickys in town. I ended up ordering their Original burger and it was decent. My wife had the Spicy Tennessee Chicken Crunch burger which had buffalo sauce in the burger. She ate it but really didnt find it tasting that good. I ordered a drink with bourbon, bitters and amaretto but it tasted VERY heavy towards the amaretto and barely any bourbon... My wife ordered the sangria and it came in a small glass full of ice and barely any liquid... The fries were good and nice and hot. If we ever go back it will be to try the pizza menu from the Famoso side.
Great food, great service. If youre in town and looking for breakfast, come here.
The worst. Don t go.
good wings and pizza .affordable for a large group hard to enter/exit the parking lot
Good pizza here
Friendly staff, food good. Close by.
More expensive than most, however the portions were great size
Too bad I cant give them bellow zero... its unfortunate famoso associate with this placed nothing like famoso at highstreet... taste like everything else but pizza I do not recommend anyone go spend their hard working money there.
Second time at this location and its been great both times. Hope this location does well.
Took over an hour to get breakfast Food was average at best
We went in this weekend excited for breakfast. We got seated immediately, the girls seemed nice, we got coffee, and our order taken....thats where the good part stops. 40 minutes go by.... No refill on coffee, not a time estimate on when our food was coming. I watched food wait for just under 15 min to get to its table. I initially thought it was ours and we were mad. How does a place wait that long to get food to its table. When we had seen it go right past us to another table, and see no other food ready to go out, that was it....we had enough. My man said thats it we are leaving, offered to pay for the 1 coffee we were given and we left. Ladies, I understand it can be overwhelming BUT you cant forget about your customers. Bring coffee and just give a little hope with approximate arrival. We were right out in the open and completely forgotten about. There are other things we noticed but Im leaving most important. It was our first visit and we will not be back. Especially now seeing this is a trend in reviews.
We went to the Rickys in surrey often and that Id put at 4 stars, but here in Abby, understaffed and over portion in food, to much waste. I was charge 3.50 for a coffee? I was never asked got a refill and thats more than a Lrg DD at tim hortons.
The staff was mildly friendly but inattentive. The food was more or less flavorless. The redeeming ng quality was the kids grilled cheese that my 3 year old enjoyed. My 5 year old got sausages with his waffles and they had to be sent back due to being under cooked. Staff said they were supposed to be that way, but in my opinion, meat should not be pink. The sausages also were greasy and tasteless. Also he said the whip cream on his waffles had no taste. I will drive to the other Rickys where they have serving standards.
Loved the food! The staff was so committed to their work and hosted us well.
Ordered the brioche french toast. It was served hot, and baked to perfection at its finest. Definitely making an order again.
Nothing like disappointment for lunch . Service was horrible. Orders wrong. A lot.of people standing around but no one helping out the one waitress that seemed to be serving. The server was young and not a lot of experience (which is fine. You have to start somewhere) but the lady in the kitchen (maybe an owner) should have stepped in to help or give direction. Food was super mediocre! Will not go back
It was first visit for me. I never ate pizza like that. It was so tasty. I recommend whenever you get chance must ordered pizza. It is great. Thank you to the person who is behind that incredible
Good food, different from ur basic breakfast....enjoyed it.
We ordered pizza from here and it was really good. Decided to head in for breakfast this weekend. Everything was amazing. From the hostess greeting us, our order was taken promptly, food arrived and I think it was the best breakfast I have ever had at a Rickys! My egg was poached perfectly. My boyfriend loved his breakfast bowl. The service felt genuine and heartfelt. What a great place. I look forward to visiting again soon.
Breakfast bowls are amazing ! Try it if you havent
Parking: If theres not enough parking in front of Rickys then there is plenty at the hotel beside and theres an easy access walkway to get to and from. Food
