We are a comfy casual friendly diner serving up lots of yummy food for breakfast lunch and dinner. Our goal is to give you a casual fun and friendly experience every time and make you feel right at home!
The highest rated cafe in the area hence a worthy choice for breakfast. Food quality excellent, hard-working, engaging staff and a great vibe, a certain energy about the place. Sadly, no fresh brewed, unsweetened tea. The high rating is well-deserved.
One of my favourite brunch places🤩 Their online waitlist system is great👍 It takes less than an hour (usually 40-45 minutes) even on busy weekends. Obviously there is a shorter waitlist on weekdays😃 Daily soup was tasty and the chicken burger was awesome. There are a lot to choose from the menu😉
There's a reason they are always busy. Every item on the menu is executed with excellence and flair. What can I recommend? Try your usual favourite and see how well they do it. The coffee is really great and they keep it coming. I know a lot of us are tired of seeing the large percentages on the tip screen but here it's worth it. As soon as your coffee is empty it's refilled.
This place really caught me by surprise as an out of town visitor. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff was quite welcoming. I ordered the meatloaf dish and this was probably the best meatloaf I've had in my life. I could immediately tell they perfected the comforting taste of a homemade meatloaf accompanied with the side of vegetables. I was so pleasantly surprised by this experience. I would love to come back if given the opportunity.
Had a classic diner feel. You can add yourself to the waitlist virtually scanning their QR code at the restaurant or by going to their website which is really handy. Very reasonably priced and huge portions! They take cash or card and would likely be able to fit up to 6 people in a table.
Great Service and Great Atmosphere. I was in town looking for a spot to eat and I chose this place because of all the reviews. I got the oatmeal, fruit salad, toast and added some hash browns. Everything was delicious the oatmeal tasted perfect and the fruit was all cut a placed beautifully! I can see why this place is rated the best breakfast spot in town!
I have driven past this place a ton of times but never stopped in to eat there until today (because another place was closed). This place is tucked away in the back corner of a small plaza that used to be a night club from my party days. It is now an old school style 50's diner with a great choice of food. I will be sure to come again and try lunch with a milkshake. The servers are sure that your coffee cup is full and if you have any questions about the menu they will be sure to accommodate.
Very fun atmosphere and great service too. The food was delicious and there were many things to choose from. Highly recommend the skillets 🍳 DELICIOUS 😋
The food was cold and bland. The coffee was weak and had a strange aftertaste. The place was clean and the server was nice, however. Maybe Id try them again, Im not sure.
Amazing food and service!
Consistent, tasty and great service. Best breakfast in town for sure. Everything on their menu is fantastic and filling. Well worth the wait if there is one.
Great home-made breakfast! Service was great! Food
Perfect casual diner, loved it
I worked at this establishment for approximately 2 months back in 2022. The head chef was extremely rude and horrible at training new staff. I dealt with daily rude comments and was even asked Have you ever had your ego broken? While being yelled at for not saying yes chef at my $15hr job. Laid off the exact day before probation ended. Bad business
Very tasty food and authentic Ukrainian. Highly recommended Food
Good food and quick service.
Only been here 2 times . Good little, old-time vibe , and very busy . Hidden in an alley . Food is really good here , the young ladies serving everyone were busy but made time to make sure we all enjoyed our dishes Well definitely be coming back here . Thanks, Ann Maries
A great little cafe, we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast. They are busy, so expect to wait. The food was great, and the staff was excellent.
One of my favorite places.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free Food
Huge portions of perfectly prepared breakfast foods! The staff are everywhere, always asking if your meal is ok and if your coffee needs a refreshing. What a gem!
Great food! The restaurant is kept at pretty cool temperature but the food is hot and delicious
Wickedly awesome soups!
I needed an option for food for a business meeting. Found out Ann Maries does soup in large quantities. Ordered soup for my meeting and it was tremendous. So delicious . I would highly recommend using this Cafe for any catering needs you may have.
Great diner. Awesome staff and quality food.
Great food, super fast friendly service. If you like pan fried potatoes with your breakfast instead of deep fried ones this is the place to get them!
Excellent breakfast with fast and efficient service
The server was good just a little slow but it was busy so it was to be expected
Food was yummy. Had the French toast.
It takes time to get into the restaurant and the food is excellent. The service is adequate altho because the restaurant can get busy, it may take awhile for a waitress to come to you. I shall return, it is a pretty cool hoppin place with that fun diner feel. Ms Fancy Google Reviewer 9 million + picture views
Awesome. Angie, you are brilliant!
Had a good time here though it was really quite loud which was unexpected. Food was 4/5 and service the same, but was hoping for a relaxed atmosphere to visit with friends and found it hard to have a great conversation. Cute decor overall and had plenty of coffee refills!
Good food, always a friendly service & kid friendly!
Great place for breakfast
great service, so friendly
Reserve a seat online for no wait service
Great food and great service
Honestly this is my favorite restaurant in abby. All the staff are fantastic and the food is amazing!
When we arrived, there was a 30-minute waiting line, they called us within 20 minutes. My daughter ate the waffle and really liked it. My husband and I ordered the traditional dish, we left very satisfied and we still had leftovers to take home.
Unfortunately out of a group of five people only two people enjoyed their meal. Food was tasteless, pan fried potatoes were half raw and eggs were overcooked. The restaurant was cute and our server was very friendly and fast. Which is why it gets three stars, based solely on the food it would be one star. Parking: Lots of parking around the side.
Sophie was very attentive and are food was as expected, great atmosphere. We loved the soup of the day and our homemade milkshakes Food
I ve been coming here since 2017. Always clean, good food, and a great classic atmosphere. Highly recommend Anne Marie s.
Great service and fresh, delicious food. Special mention to the pulled pork eggs Benedict its a winner!
First time here. Very friendly service, the food was very fresh and tasty! I love the decor theme! Cinnabon French toast with fruit salad delish! Must try! We will definitely return!
Dont sleep on their poutine its one of the best Ive had!! And Im from Quebec.
Flashback to the 70s, love it!!!! Great service, amazing food.
Too loud, no parking, hard to find with no signs
Its a good place for food. Go for the take out option or get there super early in the morning! Foods worth it.
This is a 5star review all around!!! Everything about it was great!!!! Will be going there more often!!! The only negative thing I have to say, it was hard to find but that doesnt affect my score for this restaurant Food
Service was great, food was great, atmosphere was fun!! 10/10 would go back! Wroth the 1 hr drive!
Menu sure is to my liking. Tried different items on the days I was in town & thought they were well made versions of the dishes. Coffee tastes good Kid-friendliness: Several families in the spot. The kids were liking their meals.
Went here as my regular place was closed. Great service great food my only complaint was they didn t adjust my bill as I didn t have the toast or hash browns only had the veggie omelet Will be back for sure Food : 5/5
Cute ans cosy, friendly servers and good food
Awesome spot! Busy but worth it!
The food was amazing, fresh and in generous portions. Our server was happy, helpful and an absolute delight. The Cafe was bright, spacious and spotless. We had a wonderful time. Thank you
Extremely crowded we had to wait almost an hour before being seated
Amazing breakfast. Everything was perfect.
Really tasty food and great portion too! Will definitely be back. Cool atmosphere, guys of the family loved it especially cause of all the car models and pictures haha My kid enjoyed his coloring page and color pencils which is something I always appreciate when restaurants offer it. One of the ladies felt a bit unfriendly but all others that stopped by our table were extremely nice so we had a great experience overall Kid-friendliness: coloring pages and crayons are offered, high chair also available
Always a great choice for great food when in Abby The ladies are always friendly when taking my order. Food
Our first time to dine here, super delicious foods:
Food is great. Remember to book a table first as it can get busy.
Food was pretty expensive compared to other breakfast restaurants like jo jos and matsqui cafe . Prices are on par with Rickies 20 dollars plus. But food was good , has some items not found anywhere else like pulled pork Benny which was great ! Service was really good and atmosphere was also really nice .
Food was delicious, service was great and the price was on par for the meal size and quality
Some of the best pancakes I ve had in a long time!
Always a great place to meet up for lunch.
We had a blast with our crew stopping for lunch while cleaning houses. Thank you very much guys. We had a great food and fantastic service will be back.
I found bugs on my salad... I visited there around 2 pm a week ago and while I was eating my plate..I found live bugs moving on salad..It was so gross...... I was there not so early..that means many people there might eat that same salad.. The manage told it was the first time..But I think just people couldnt notice it because its so tiny . After I got back I checked the photo I took at first as soon as the food was served..and I saw there were bugs, too. The server didnt charge my food and say sorry but I think I wont visit there again..
I honestly love the vibe of this place. They re hands down the best place to grab breakfast or quick evening bites. They serve the most scrumptious sandwiches and the best milkshakes in town.
Rather disappointing considering the ratings. I went with my friend on Sunday morning, we got on the waitlist before leaving the house and our table was ready when we arrived. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I ordered the bacon and eggs breakfast and my friend ordered a Benny. We both got pan friend potatoes which might be the worst potatoes I ve ever had. They were soggy and flavourless. I requested my eggs were dry scrambled and they were not. The white toast had a weird flavour. The hollandaise sauce tasted like it s from a bag. Overall the food was just not good and I m shocked by the current rating. The workers were so so so kind and constantly tending to tables, our glasses were always full and we never had to wait to ask for something.
Angie and her staff provide an amazing atmosphere and incredible food. My wife and I go to Ann Maries every Monday for breakfast. Its become our place. There are lots of options. My personal favourites are the Southwestern Benny and the Breakfast Wrap. My wife always goes for the Light Traditional Breakfast.
Great breakfast and old school automotive atmosphere. Amazing homemade jam!
This is a store I stopped by after visiting the Tulip Festival. I ordered a bbq chicken wrap and the combination of mild sauce, fresh vegetables, and spicy onions was great. The servers were also very friendly, so I have great memories as a traveler. :):)
As a first timer, I was definitely happy with the experience! We ordered the fish burger and quesadilla. Fish burger was awesome but the quesadilla was quite greasy...a greasadilla! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely make the drive from Surrey again!
Best place in Abby for breakfast!
Good everything! We come here lots and love the service and the food. The owner is awesome, and we just say the usual, and she just knows. Epic!
Excellent doors, good portion size, and not overpriced for todays market.
Almost took me longer to choose because they have a great selection ;) The food was excellent and filling!
Recommend to us so had to try. The server we had was just the best. We had breakfast and it was just awesome. Good old fashioned family food. Would recommend to any one looking for a comfortable breakfast Parking: Behind Restraunt
Love this place and so do my kids, we make the drive from out of town just so we can enjoy there breakfast! I am obsessed with their cinnamon bun french toast, and I have to have a side of hash browns! The staff are always very tentative and service is overall great.
Great food, great service.
The food was great but it was a bit expensive for a burger and onion rings at roughly $27 or 28 ish dollars including the pop. Followed by customary tip. Really I would give 4 and a half stars. Oh make sure to get extra napkins.
Cute little café in Abbotsford with a definite fiftys vibe. It has a real diner look with checkered floors and red booths. It was really busy however the service was very good. The food was pretty good also. They made sure to top up the coffee pot, too. Overall experience was great! Wheelchair accessibility: Did not see anyone wya wheelchair but I am sure it could accommodate.
Manager very Rude!! . Some people are in the wrong profession!
The food is really good and the service is Awesome. Really awesome. The few times I have come in now, every server Ive had is wonderful. I went back a couple times for the same thing off of the menu. I think it depends on what person is cooking that day because the version of food can vary. My first experience was really good, like to die for good. And the next time I came and ordered the same thing, it wasnt like the first time I had it. Dont get me wrong, the food was still so good! Just was different than the first time I came. I should have asked who the chef was the first time so I could come in when they worked again lol. The diner decorations, and how it feels like Im transported into a place I wish I could have been in back in the day... Its so awesome. All we need is a bunch of old cars to line up in the back parking lot!!!! :p Oh also the milkshakes are THE BEST. Top notch. Everytime I come through Abbotsford, I think of Ann Maries Cafe, now. Thanks Ann Maries, for the awesome experience and wicked food. Vegetarian options: Theres many options for food and youre able to ask to remove meat from dishes if you really need to. A lot of dishes I liked had meat, but I very easily was able to ask to just not have meat with what I ordered. It didnt seem to be a problem. You should have no issue coming here if youre vegetarian. Parking: The parking lot is behind Ann Maries, its a gravel parking lot. There are also other places along the street on the side of the building that you will be able to park at. Wheelchair accessibility: The wheelchair may have a bit of difficulty if you park on the gravel part, however its a short distance to the door. They do not have a ramp, per se, but theres an indent in the cement where a wheelchair could get up to and come in through the door. Its a little cramped getting through the front door on a busy day. But you can definitely come in there with a wheelchair.
Definition of hidden jem. Friendly, fast and the type of breakfast your grandmother or mother would cook for you.
The food was really good and the employees were friendly. Nice vibe!
I joined my niece who lives in Abbotsford and recommended Anne Maries Cafe. Im so happy she did. I love the vibe, the staff were attentive and friendly, the food excellent and so was the coffee which I take black. I always say if the coffee is good everything else must be and it was! Vegetarian options: I loved my vegetarian eggs Bennie. So delicious.
We had a great breakfast this am! Special thanks to our server for being friendly and attentive!
Just love this restaurant. Perfect place to start a day.
Been eating there for many years. Best in Abby Dietary restrictions: They always have an alternative and happy to oblige Kid-friendliness: Best place , even the grand kids like it.
Got a table very quickly on Good Friday. Space was spacious and lots of room between tables. We had meat lovers omelette and pancake with sausage and egg - the best part of the breakfast was the hash browns - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.
Love it
Love love love this place. Always busy, but the service and food are always excellent. Worth the wait for a table, I promise!
Great place to go for lunch its a little busy but what do you expect for a small place with great food and awesome staff
Good food and happy staff. Still great ,they were busy so we went somewhere else sadly.
Guaranteed you will not leave this place hungry! Delicious food, friendly staff and a fun vibe.
Great little old school breakfast diner
Khadijrah is the best server! She s so so nice and SUPER FAST! She listened to me yap yap yap about my day. Shes great! Me and my mom LOVED THE coffee.
Came in for brunch, saw food left on the floor under the table and a swarm of ants around it. Did not stay to order anything.
The food was good, overall the visit was pleasant.
Took us an hour to get a table as it was the Family Day long weekend. The food was great and worth the wait.
Came in an hour before closing so of course we got seated right away and the food came in quickly. Was delicious. The server even offered us cookies on the house which was super nice of her. Will come back 11/10
Discovered my new breakfast haven! Friendly staff, spotless place. Breakfast was spot-on: crispy bacon, seasoned hashbrowns, perfectly buttered toast, and pancakes done just right! Highly recommended!
I wish I had known about Ann Maries Cafe sooner, or I would have came there more often. This restaurant has been in Abbotsford since the early 2000s, and I have not known about it since it was easy to miss. This is a notable 50s nostalgia diner with delicious food. I ordered the daily special which was the Blueberry Pancakes with Bacon and Eggs. The pancakes were fantastic, bacon was cooked to perfection and the scrambled eggs are piquant on their own. The coffee was good and fresh. The service is a little slow, even when the restaurant almost vacant. The 50s decor is at a bare minimum, but is still eye-catching. I look forward to coming back to Ann Maries. Vegetarian options: Veggie Quesadillas, Veggie Omelets, Veggie Delight Sandwich, Garden Salad with Garlic Bread
Solid food. Quite busy but good service
Amazing dine-in experience! Fast quick and efficient! Very friendly staff. Would recommend to friends and family.
First time here. Hidden place. HD to book ahead of time due to wait time. Got there on time we said we were going to be there but had wait another 5-10 minutes. Has to scan for the menu. Coffee was fresh, breakfast tasted good. Portion size was decent. Just right. Service was fast, staff were friendly. Next time Ill ask for a table away from the door. Felt uncomfortable sitting near the door. Overall a good place
Found my new breakfast hangout! Staffs super friendly, and the place is spotless. Breakfast was killer crispy bacon, tasty hash browns, perfect toast, and pancakes just the way I like em. Seriously, every details spot on.
Amazing food, great prices, friendly staff
Great experience, good food. Our server was really great but was a little thrown off my one of the hostesses (shorter, slim, brown hair) who was seemingly rude to an older couple with hearing difficulties. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly
We took our 3 young granddaughters for dinner tonight and they loved it. We were served quickly which was appreciated, and the food was delicious. The girls loved the sundaes and milkshakes and the cool atmosphere. I would highly recommend taking kids for dinner! Food : 5/5 |
We had a great experience at Ann Maries! What a little local gem! Fabulous food, great quality, and super friendly staff! The strawberries on the waffle were the real deal and not California, the sausage was super flavorful and the eggs were perfect!
Great breakfast spot! Little retro vibe, Service is good, foods great and usually comes out fast plus decently priced! I usually get their bacon English muffin with the deep fried hash browns and they re bomb! Parking: The parking for this area is just terrible all around, however they do have a gravel lot in the back you can park in that s not typically full
Great homestyle food with a 50s vibe. Generous servings, comfortable atmosphere, just a wonderful place to start your day. Food
Great food , awesome service!
Our favorite place!!
Came here for the first time and the staff were so friendly and attentive. We asked staff what they would recommend and she suggested the smothered sausage skillet and it was absolutely delicious.
Great stop. The staff were awesome. Food had good taste and well plated. Fun place to be.
Hiding away in downtown Old Abby, this popular diner will leave you satisfied. Lots of comfort food to chose from.A little noisy at times and the 50ish style atmosphere is outdated but parking is good and service is always top notch.
This is our crew s favourite place to go for breakfast, big and delicious portions, great family atmosphere, we always leave satisfied and happy!! Parking: Big parking lot in the back
What a chic retro cafe, the food was delicious and plentiful, the service was phenomenal. You are surrounded by retro pictures and objects but oddly enough the menu is online and you can order online as well. I highly recommend you stop in for a visit if you are in the area. Oh I had the meat lovers omelette Parking: Shared lot so parking could be an issue but wasnt when we were there.
Very good food and service was amazing
All around best breakfast in town. I often enjoy eating here with colleagues.
I really enjoy that I get to pop in after running errands and enjoy a good meal and friendly conversation with the gals. Classic eggs benny is my go to but the club house with their seasoned fries are a nice switch up
Food was better than Coras and lots of selection... Was very busy staff was friendly while running around! Peanut butter chocolate shake is to die for!!! Vegetarian options: Fruit was amazingly fresh and lots of variety...
Amazing food, Amazing service, will be coming back for sure. Good family environment, highly recommend. Good portions, great price, lots of things to choose from on the menu
I find a lot of these roadside diner places tend to look like theyve been there forever (because nothing much changes and they really have been there forever). This place was clean, there wasnt dust over all the memorabilia... Was really a pleasant change. The service was definitely a highlight. Very attentive and efficient. The food was good, but nothing super stand out. I wouldnt drive out from Burnaby just to go there, but would stop by if I was in the neighborhood.
Good service and good food
Very cool spot. Food is good for diner food, nothing amazing but that s not what you go to a diner for! Love their online waiting list, super helpful.
Great place for delicious breakfast. Love the 50s atmosphere
Service was fast...Food was quick and I must say this place meets up with the hype. Bacon super crispy...toast wasnt cold.. French toast very good. Fruit salad great! My only negative comment is why cant they use real Maple syrup. Or give option to customers to pay extra. I did ask server, she said all we have is pancake syrup sorry.
Went for breakfast and the potatoes were old, the pancakes were soggy, the bacon was limp and it cost $56..$70 with the tip. The waitresses were very attentive and nice. I do not recommend the breakfast
Ann Maries is a funky 50s place for lunch. The kids love it! The worst thing is the hours because they close so early. Food
Parking: Tons of parking in the back lot Food
Super cute old timey diner. Big portions for great prices. lots of menu items to choose from, I havent ordered something I didnt like yet. The service is always top notch, and so is their home made jam lol we come here often!
Cute small town diner vibe.. loved food, service and the atmosphere.. their homemade jam is yum.. bought a few jars as well..
Cozy diner with excellent service and tasty filling meals.
Love this place. Great food. Great service. Classic breakfast joint ambiance. Ann Marie served us. Food
Great place w great food. Fast service. Sometimes its busy but worth the wait! Parking: Spots fill up fast. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs
Really tastey food for a fair price since it is quality. Got bacon sausage (which both were perfectly done not wet and soggy like most restraunts) amazing pancakes, toast, eggs, hashbrowns. No wait at a busy time too.
Went on a recommendation. Ambience was good and vibe was really catchy! Poor service and felt one of the server was rude. My order was wrong and had to wait 10 mins for the right one. Got Cajun Chicken and Avocado Eggs Benedict and Elite Omlette with Coffee. Not going again though!
The sourdough toast? Unreal. The jam? Delicious. The farmer sausage? Delectable. The atmosphere? Nostalgic. The service? Outstanding. Thanks for the tasty breakfast Ann Marie.
We have gone to Ann Maries for Lunch , Breakfast , Dinner and every thing on the menu is excellent. We have traveled over fifty miles to eat there. Give it a try. It hard to find but it worth it. Ann Maries doesnt look like much from the outside but its has GREAT FOOD.
Frozen pattie half cooked for a $20 burger that came with a few fries. I could not eat the whole burger left half for my dog he didnt complain. Im very disappointed. Wont be going back for processed burgers especially ones that are not fully cooked
Cool place. Staff is the bomb. Food is good.
Ive been wanting to try this gem for a few years, and u finally made it there. This place did not disappoint. It has an amazing feeling for a diner. The staff are super. Super amazing, friendly. The food. Omg. Seriously best diner ever. Cant wait to go back.
What an absolute gem! Rockabilly, sounds of the 60s, wonderful food and stellar service. Food
Love Ann Maries Cafe!! Best breakfast in town!
I like the vibe , waitress are so friendly and the taste was awesome, highly recommended
A great place for breakfast in a cool atmosphere.
Eggs Benedict! Enough said. The foods great. Portions are big. Do not attempt to eat a Benny and get a milkshake at the same time you will need a wheelbarrow to carry you out. All the food is good. The servers are nice and knowledgeable about menu items and the decor puts you right back into that retro aesthetic. Theres even a spot to park your power armor out front.
I love the food. Deep fried hashbrowns are my new favorite thing!!! I got the egg Benedict with salsa and sausage which is great. Hubby got the meat skillet which has a huge portion!
Super cute dinner with nostalgic decor. Excellent breakfast and polite fast service
This is one of those places when you read. They have been voted Best breakfast in Abbotsford you just need to check it out. Sorta tucked into a little alley just off George Ferguson, Ann Maries is a pretty cooly decorated 50s style Cafe complete with black and white checkered floor tiles and red vinyl booth seating as well as alot of car decor on the walls. When we arrived the Cafe wasnt full, but was pretty busy even so we got a seat right away and the waitress was super friendly and took our drink order, however didnt give us a menu. For first timers it was a bit confusing until you notice the QR code in the center of the table which will link to the menu, I did notice a few customers with standard menus so I guess if thats your preference you might need to request one (not sure) either way not a huge deal. I ordered a standard breakfast of a couple eggs over hard (like my eggs very dead) ham and potatoes with a side of sourdough bread. My wife ordered the stack em up pancakes, with two sausages, two bacon, two eggs, and two huge pancakes . Was it the best breakfast in Abbotsford? Im not sure. Honestly, I find breakfast offerings from Cafe to Cafe to be pretty similar. But I can tell you the portions were generous for the price, and well seasoned and tasty so no complaints. My wife actually have to pass half her breakfast over to me due to the size of her pancakes they are large and filling. The topper to Ann Maries was the service we received from our waitress. Without getting into too much detail I had surgery on my shoulder and while dining it was causing me pain, which made me wince and rub my shoulder and chest, our waitress noticed my discomfort and came to our table to ensure I was OK and not suffering from some sort of medical emergency, just a small gesture but very appreciative of her concern. Parking: We parked in the lane in front of the restaurant, but there are limited spaces here, there is a larger lot down the lane and behind the restaurant but Im not 100% certain customers can use that lot it may belong to another business. Kid-friendliness: Seems pretty kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: The main door is on a level grade with no obstructions, you should have no issues with a wheelchair here.
The look is perfect. The service is fabulous and the food is exactly what food should be. Awesome .Thank You Anna Maria s
More people need to check this place out for a great dinner experience. If youre in the mood for a decent dang burger and a fansticly thick milkshake, this is the place to go! Very quick and attentive servers as well! The ambience is very nostalgic!
Good Food, nice people
