I highly recommend Jojo’s Fish & Chips. It’s a local family-owned business which has a variety of options. My wife and I ordered the two piece halibut and the halibut burger; which in our opinion, was cooked to perfection. The milkshakes are beyond delicious, we really enjoyed their cafe options, and the customer service was top notch. We’ll definitely be returning soon.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jojo’s, and it was truly a fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. But the real star here is, of course, the fish and chips. The fish was perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, yet tender and flaky on the inside. You can tell it’s made from fresh, high-quality fish, with just the right amount of batter. The chips were equally delightful—thick, perfectly seasoned, and with a satisfying crunch that paired beautifully with the fish. They also serve a house-made tartar sauce that’s creamy, tangy, and the ideal complement to every bite. Portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the quality of ingredients really stood out. Even the sides, like coleslaw and fries were fresh and flavourful, rounding out the meal nicely. Overall, I highly recommend Jojo’s to anyone craving authentic, delicious fish and chips. This place sets the bar high for quality and service—definitely worth a visit!

Food was way over priced.. fish was not what I would call fish and more like slabs of something resembling fish… fries were soggy when I said well done… and to top it off the tartar sauce was in a freaking craft single serving! Not impressed and will never go there again! Take some pride in what you serve! Especially when it cost that much! And oh… make your own fresh sauce!
First time here, and I had the fish and chips. Halibut and cod. It was delicious. The batter was crispy. The fish was thick and flakey. It wasn't greasy or fishy. The chips were also very delectable. Thanks, Jojo.
Our waitress was great! Was unable to get her name but she was so friendly, attentive and provided great customer service! The food was amazing and was priced great. Would definitely recommend and will be back in the future!
This is a decent restaurant. The menu shows a vast variety of choices for a fish & chips restaurant. I had their Breaded Veal and Eggs. The veal tasted great when topped with gravy. Everything that came with it like the scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and sourdough toast was okay. The coffee is nothing to write home about. What was weird was that I served my food before I was served coffee, which I ordered all at the same time. The interior looked good and I like the sea theme they went with their restaurant. During my second visit, I had dinner on a Sunday and the restaurant was almost vacant. I ordered the Halibut Special with the Blueberry Milkshake. The bread halibut and prawns were great, while the fries tasted very good on their own. The tartar sauce was also great and made the seafood taste spectacular. The coleslaw, however, was mildly bland, even if it was free with my entrée. The milkshake was pretty great, with the whip cream flourishing with flavour. So I recommend JoJo's more for their lunches and dinners rather than their breakfasts.
We were looking for some good fish and chips, we found it here. I ordered the two-piece haddock and chips. This came with a nice serving of coleslaw which was quite good. Sadly, as can be observed in my photos the chips provided were a portion that you perhaps would serve a young person. The chips appear to be frozen, and not the fresh cut type that one would find in other fish and chip restaurants. These were somewhat hidden underneath the two pieces of fish. The restaurant appeared to be somewhat busy, with only two servers available. Aside from taking our order the next time we saw the server was when the food was delivered to the table. Following up about 20 minutes later to ask if everything was okay. Usually by that time you're halfway through your meal! Once we had to finish eating the plates remained on the table and almost an hour after we received our orders, the waitress came by and asked if we would like to have a take out box. The lack of service at this restaurant and what appeared to be almost a half serving of chips, has this reviewer providing only a 4 star rating.
Busy place, but the big breakfast is worth the money
Lovely staff, clean restaurant with fun decorations, and most importantly delicious food! Fish was amazing, chips were fresh and crisp, and even a wonderful tea latte :)
If you want some good entertainment come to JoJos when Debras on shift. Class act petty poo party cause she didnt get us in her section. We went to go and meet Tasha for the very first time and wanted to be seated in her area. Miss Debra had a very big problem with it, and made a seen in front of the whole restaurant. To make an even bigger seen she went to the back and cried to the boss and came back out and looked and me when I was talking to the new girl and said no one cares what you have to say. Thats customer services at its finest. Team Debra NOT. Tasha thanks for handling that situation with such grace even all the other customers said you did amazing. Team Tasha, we forsure will be back because youre great at what you do keep shining.

Went for breakfast for the first time at Jojo s and was so impressed by how fresh and tasty it was! Large portions and amazing service! Their new coffee bar is unbelievable so many flavours to pick from! My favourite was the biscoff latte! Can t wait to go back!

Went here Nov 20 about 9 am sat for 15 minutes no service got up and left won t go back
Had the opportunity to try the halibut fish n chips which were delicious. They were light and crispy. We also got to try their new cafe. We had the brown sugar oat latte and the cookie butter soy latte. Both were amazing but I liked the cookie butter more. The banana bread is perfect to pair with a sweet drink. Not a clean restaurant. No paper towel in bathroom. Was told sorry we re out . No napkin or alternative offered. Plates were not clean. Saw the dish rag tables were wiped with - black stained. Turned me right off. Food crispy but flavourless.
I ordered the bacon mushroom Swiss cheese omelet I found maybe 4 mushrooms and bacon bits and the Swiss cheese was two slices laid on top of my omelet it wasnt even melted the hash browns were burnt and cold not to sure if it was laziness by the cook about an hour later I had to puke and my stomach was upset all day my friend i was eating with got sick to I would like to go into the kitchen to see how they operate I could imagine whats going on im new to the area and will never go back

The quality appears to have gone downhill. Had eggs Benedict... very bland. Skimping on butter perhaps when cooking to save on costs? Hollandaise was a mix and certainly not buttery or lemony. Hash browns not crispy fried. Covid has taken its toll I guess... prices far too high for the quality.

We went last night with a group of 8 and let s just say the wait staff did an excellent job tending to everyone. The restaurant itself is not super fancy so don t expect Cactus Club or Browns Social House here, we were totally fine with that lol Steady stream of regulars who come in as the waitress knows everyone so that shows the care they have for everyone who comes in. The food was amazing as we had a variety of items: fish and chips, grilled cheese, chicken strips. It came out fast and with good portions, they have the best fries too!!!! We all enjoyed the food and service and will be back again.

Came in a family group of 6 off a plane from Calgary. Arrived very hungry and was not disappointed. The service was super fast and so friendly. We had a breakfast meal, seafood meal and burgers - All of which were fantastic! Theres options for everyone. Great atmosphere for families and teens. The server was Tasha and she was so great!

My family had a wow experience at Jojo s. This family themed all day breakfast restaurant is a hit for us. You get so much , for far less. I love the pancakes, hash brown,eggs, and the burgers are my children s favourite. The service? Absolutely amazing!!!!!!! Great place, amazing service and homely , friendly environment

JoJos is a good place for breakfast, its pretty standard but has always been well made and tasty. The place does get busy in the mornings on weekends but its incredibly affordable, the service is always good, the coffee is decent and even when they are busy the wait times are reasonable. The fish used to be fantastic but they have changed it and it is no longer of them same quality.

Whether its breakfast lunch or dinner JoJos has fresh food that is full of flavor and really does have a beautiful crispness to their batter. Theyre coleslaw is unlike any that Ive tasted in Abbotsford and stand out as Chris and tasty. I recommend using lemon and vinegar as opposed to tartar sauce but Im not really a fan of tartar sauce so theres that. Theyre fries make sure you ask for them crisp or else they do come a little bit late and fluffy not really crispy and I understand that the drinks and refills are bottomless.

Found a hair in my food. And dirty cutlery. Somethings obviously up with the dishwasher and the cooks aren t wearing their hair net properly. The server was really nice and I did get my meal for free. As I was reading the reviews I realize it s not the first time this has happened. I wouldn t recommend.

The food was gross. Nothing was fresh, the snapper was chewy and the battered was soggy. The garden salad was not fresh either. Wouldnt recommend it.
The fish and chips were mediocre. Batter was soggy. Tartar sauce tasted past its Best Before date. How can the dish you are named after taste like a microwave lunch????

Food was good, service was very good as usual. Only thing is, one of the managers was yelling from the kitchen at our waitress when she was trying to take the order of the table next to us. Seemed very unprofessional, never seen anything like that before, besides that everything was good.
To tell you the truth. I would never recommend this place to anyone. First. The pop is bottomless. But the waitress passed me three times and not once offered to refill my glass. The order l placed was correct. I ordered a clubhouse on white bread with lots of fries. I could count the amount of fries. I watched other tables and saw the waitress give the senior couple one huge plate of fries. There was a shortage of bacon over cooked. And to much processed chicken slices. And way to much seasoning salt on yhe fries. Go to the pizza restaurant just doors down from this restaurant. You will get a better meal there. I have returned to this restaurant to give it another try. Since it is under new management. And again I was really upset with this place. I could not get any cold pop. Machine was broken. I ordered a club house on white bread. The order arrived after a long wait. And the order was on brown bread. When I tried to get the servers attention. She finally arrived. I explained that I ordered white bread not brown bread. She didnt offer any change or replacement. It tasted horrible.
Went yesterday for an early mothers Day dinner because my mom is from Newfoundland and so fish and chips was what she was craving. We were greeted when coming through the door sat down immediately or order was taken when we were ready in a quick way and good food very excellent service made sure our drinks were topped up if we wanted super friendly place

My grandmother loves this place and gos here once a week. She loves one of their salads. I have only been here twice and the service was good but I was just not a fan of the food. There are a lot of older people that love going here for the food and the price. Parking: One good point is they have lots of parking.

2nd visit here, and this is restaurant maybe another hit and miss kinda place, and thats OK because nothing is perfect 100% of the time. 1st visit was a group of 7 for a late breakfast (try the ham steak BTW, generous portion size and delicious) and everything went well very friendly staff and pretty quick service, as far as I know everyone enjoyed their breakfast choices and all seemed to come in a portion size that was good value for the cost. Today we came back just my wife and I. The biggest concern I had was the way seafood is cooked here. If I hadnt told the server about my wifes shellfish allergy we would not have been aware they cook all seafood fish and shellfish in the same oil in the same fryer. ( so if you have any allergies please be aware of this), other foods such and chicken and fires have a separate fryer. Its a bit of a shame because my wife was looking forward to trying the fish here, but because of how its cooked thats impossible for her. Our server was very quick to warn us once she was aware of the allergy,so thank you for that. That being said my wife had a steak omelette which was pretty tasty but her pancake was a bit on the rubbery side today, which we didnt experience on our first visit (so perhaps a one off issue). I had a simple turkey melt and fries with a side of gravy so nothing super fancy but was tasty and filling. All in all we still feel this is a nice little family spot for dinning and will for sure go back again and try more of the menu options in the future. Parking: Parking is in a strip mall lot, so while its free at times spaces can be limited. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, when we took our two young grandchildren here on our first visit the staff provided them with crayons and pictures to color while waiting for our food.
Great service great food
Service was great, the waitresses were all very sweet and attentive. The food was good. The chips were perfect and the gravy was a nice, thick, brown gravy. The cod, scallops, and shrimp were juicy and soft with a crispy breading. They serve a creamy, sweet coleslaw which we like but some may prefer the vinegar style. The burger was just okay, Ill probably opt for the fish next time! Overall, the food was great and worth a return visit!

I and my wife attended this restaurant for breakfast as hungry and I had been here before and my friend sure liked their menu for breakfast. Greeted by a smiling waitress name Tasha. She came to our table in good time and brought water and coffee. We ordered and I was just amazed at her taking orders, even large tables of 6 and more and could remember all the details of who and what they ordered. Our meal came in very good time and as exact as we told Tasha. Amazing lady. Meals adequate and very good helping. Coffee was free flowing and I enjoyed it very much. Lots of seating and tables at a good space. Prices at the right price due to the seating and décor of this restaurant. But thanks Tasha for the excellent service! We came here today for brunch. Excellent eggs Benny and my daughter and Grandma had the 1 piece halibut. They both said it was excellent. The restaurant was very busy! There were 2 waitresses there and they were really honestly amazing handling it all. I forget our waitresses name but she was very nice and the food was quick. Very good experience and I will come back again. Also reasonable prices.

Waitresses are friendly and attentive, perfect greasy spoon dinner feel, food is affordable and well portioned. Our family is regulars now, we just sit down and they know which drinks to bring with breakfast.

If you re looking for some good vegetarian food that s also wallet friendly look no further. JoJo s has loads of delicious vegetarian options but make sure you try the veggie burger because it slaps.

Food is pretty good and the price is great. Service however is pretty terrible. We were the only Asian people in the restaurant and we recieved a noticeable difference in quality of service compared to other patrons. We didnt get checked in on once, while other tables got asked if they wanted hot sauce or needed coffee refills. Our server seemed to actively try to avoid eye contact which made flagging them down impossible. When we called out to them to ask for our bill, they didnt bring it nor the machine for at least 20 min. Other tables in the meantime were still getting orders taken, tables bussed, as well as having the bill and machine brought to them. In the end I just had to get up and walk to the front to get the bill and pay there. Guess Asian people dont get to use the machine.
We were there last night. Our server Amanda was awesome. She was clearly overwhelmed but I know she could handle. My wife and I who both worked in restaurants offered to help but she wouldnt have it (and in hindsight the owners probably would not like that) The food in this place is awesome

The breakfast here is always fantastic, and has quickly become the go to spot for a big breakfast for great value. The quality and freshness is always top notch as well! Where else can you get a good omelet, hash browns and pancakes for $12-$15? Waffles are also a great choice!
Horrible, made the order through skip because Im home sick. What a mistake!!! My daughters PLAIN cheese burger was a grilled cheese sandwich. Frys sucked not cooked! My double bacon cheeseburger looked like my dogs breakfast, and my wife looked at her chicken thing OMG. NEEDLESS TO SAY, will never order from here again if I could give them 0 stars I would

All day breakfast is my weakness, great prices and convenient location.
Best fish and chips, the waitress was running around getting it done with a smile. She was very friendly, food was fantastic.
