I always order take out. Everyone is very friendly. As soon as you walk in they greet you and ask what they can do for you. The owners son is very personable. He remembers all his customers. Wonderful experience and excellent food!

Delicious spanokapita, a very tasty Greek salad and Rack of Lamb, cooked perfectly, made this a very enjoyable experience. The waitress and service were excellent. This is a wonderful local Abbotsford restaurant that consistently serves great food.

Meal and staff were top notch, the roast lamb was amazing

I love the Greek dishes here but showed up for a birthday half hungry. I ordered the seafood linguini and it was utterly disappointing. Please do better. The server Zoe, was fantastic however. As I hate complaining and feel bad doing so I couldnt ignore the pasta was absolute trash. Shes not only offered me any dish of the menu but also gave me a 30 gift card. Which I will use probably before next weekend. I couldnt believe how kind Zoe was to us, especially because sometimes you just make a bad decision on ordering. I left full and satisfied which I didnt expect. Thanks again greek islands Making sure even fussy customers leave happy. Side note try the saganaki. Sooooo good

I need to give a shout out! we showed up to a very packed restaurant. We were not sure wed get seated. The waitress was like hold on and within 5 min they cleared a table and had us seated. Our fab waitress Jaz apologized for how busy it was yet our food (greek platter for 2) and drinks came in very reasonable time. It was soo delicious, hit my greek cravings hard! I also tried their coconut martini and if you like coconut! try it! thank you for the exceptional service and food!

The best Greek food that I have ever had

Mistakes happen I hear.... Hard to not be upset...but Nico was fantastic and did his best to make things better. I LOVE their food.....not fond of mistakes however Dietary restrictions: Cooked messed up on my GF order....I got my meal free, I was unable to eat it....as I had been glutened with my GF appy. I was ill in 15 minutes and still hurting 2 days later. I got a gift card to return... but I am not sure I can. Conclusion is dont eat out...mistakes happen.....I know. I trust others will not have to experience this.

Went based solely on it being the top suggestion on google when we were out in Abbotsford for the day and trying to decide on dinner. And it did not disappoint! Walked in on a busy Saturday night without a reso and they still managed to sit us immediately. The food was PHENOMENAL. We had the roast lamb dinner, and half rack of lamb - chops style. I picked up the bone in my roast lamb and the meat literally fell off. It was perfection. Complete heaven. The potatoes were so gorgeously marinated and packed with flavour. Even down to the little things like basting the pita with garlic butter (no dry pita here!) and the seasoning on the steamed veg. Just, chefs kiss! And the baklava was incredible! The perfect portion for the end of a large meal, but when you just want to end on a sweet note. We also took home some of the Greek dressing they make in-house and it is ridiculously good! I could drink it by the gallon. We were also lucky enough to snag a bottle of the fig infused balsamic glaze made by one of the owners cousins in Greece (iirc) - too perfect because we had just picked up some brussel sprouts that we wanted to roast with some kind of drizzle glaze. And, of course, the service was next LEVEL. Truly, you can tell how well the staff are trained, work together, and how much they love and have passion for what they do. It shows in spades. The owners were going around setting up tables with the servers and checking in on diners throughout the night. Truly, I could espouse their virtues until I turn blue in the face. And I know I wasnt the only one taken by the level of service, I overhead another table saying how impressed they were. All in all, this was a fabulous way to end our date day out in Abbotsford, with a soul-nourishing meal among incredibly passionate and caring people doing an amazing job. Shout out to one of the owners, Yianni, who stopped by our table to check-in on us, and our server, Jazmine, who was absolutely killing it all evening with all her tables! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We will definitely be making the trip out from Vancouver again!

The food was really yummy. The lamb souvilaki was great, calamari even better. The only reason why a 5-star was not given is that the girl picking up plates would not even let us finish our dishes, and she was already at our table. She decided to take a plate and then proceeded to ask if we were going to finish eating it, or taking a cutting knife just to ask if we wanted to keep, now having to bring new ones as the nice and clean one was taken and put together with the dirty dishes, she was just too efficient. The server, food, and atmosphere were all great and will definitely be coming back.

By far one of the most consistent restaraunts in abbotsford. Great food and great atmosphere. The best family run restaraunts in town. They know what the term service means. The owners always greet you and ask you how are you doing. Food is delicious! I love the chicken souvlaki! The ribs and lasagna is great as well. Nothing but praise for this place. Great staff as well! They all very friendly and seem like they like to work there! Have been coming here for 15 years!

Forgot to post my review, came here about 3 weeks ago with my mother in law for mothers Day, food was delicious. She said it was her favorite place and she regularly goes there andi can see why she goes back.

(2021) Had take out. The person on the phone was very pleasant and courteous. Food was AMAZING!! Generous sized portions. Decent prices too. Highly recommend! Their greek dressing on the salad is the best Ive ever had! First time dining in (2024). Amazing service. Beautifully renovated restaurant. Fabulous food. Everything was top notch, authentic Greek.

We really liked the atmosphere and their hospitality. The waitress was very friendly and the food was really good and they serve big portions. I would definitely go there again and try their other dishes as it all seemed yummy

Family friendly, quick and yummy. The portion was HUGE so my partner and I split one meal. With drinks and a tip it was around 60 dollars - whoa! Would recommend!

Ordered the platter for 2 take out , unfortunately very disappointed in the food , I couldnt even eat it . Basically through away 74 dollars with tip .

If you are looking for a fantastic, authentic Greek restaurant, this IS the place. Calamari is light, flavourful and always served hot. The Greek salad is always fresh and the dressing is incredible. The souvlaki dinner (have had the chicken and lamb) is exceptionally delicious. Big portions, too. The staff from the host to the wait staff to the owner are friendly and polite. Weve Come often since we moved to Abbotsford a year ago. Try it. You wont be disappointed.

Not often do you hit a restaurant on a Sunday night packed to the brim with a line out the door. Thankfully we ordered take out. Is it expensive yes is it amazing very. My only complaint was the calamari was a little rubbery. We got the platter for 2 and its definitely more for 3 lol.

First time going here with my small family of four. The day we decided to go was quite busy with reservations, but they were still able to accommodate us. The server us was kind of slow and didnt check on us much, which is understandable due to the number of people in there. She also took a little while to return with a request, like a fork, for example, so I would be forced to ask someone else who would then bring it. The food was soooo delicious. I am originally from Montreal, where there is tons of different cultural food, Greek included, and I remember saying to my husband that this tastes like home- authentic Greek food. My husband and I ordered a platter for 2, which was definitely worth the value. We had tons of leftovers afterwards, and the food tasted even better the next day. Our kids had the fish and chips and they very much enjoyed it. Touch point highlight was when the owner of this specific location came over to our table to introduce himself and asked how everything was. He apologized for the slow service ( I never complained) and also explained that the rush of people that came in had overwhelmed his staff. I commented on the authenticity of the food, and he was proud. 100% Greek owner and (maybe) head chef. His brother owns the second location in Abbotsford. I will DEFINITELY be going there again. 10/10 food 8/10 service and I love that there is something for everyone on the menu.

They say their motto is treat everyone like family and we take care of family My experience tonight was above and beyond. Upon entering, I was greeted with warmth and smiles; making me me feel at home. The manager came out after our phenomenal meal, as a small mishap that happened. In that time the manager went above and beyond, Ive never had such a down to earth and caring experience in hospitalty I cannot describe the kindness and effort on their end. I will be back in a heartbeat.

The Calamari appetizer was HORRENDOUSLY GREASY & GROSS.

We ate at the Langdon St. location. The food was plentiful and edible. The service was odd. For a group after a sporting event, probably good. For a couple, not so much.

Greek platter for two! Wow, this restaurant has the nicest manager. Marcos treated my mom and me to the kindest hospitality. It was our first time in. My mom was visiting from out of town, and she was treating me to a birthday outing. Greek Islands Restaurant was a fantastic choice. The food, service, and atmosphere are top-notch. I can t wait to try their Döner. Marcos explained how they season their own in-house! Exciting news to hear they are planning on a patio space as well.

First things first, the food was amazing. We got the chicken souvlaki, a classic, and everything from the side soup to the rice to the chicken was flavourful and delicious. The best part of our evening was how the owner and staff went so far above and beyond to accommodate us, and we couldnt be more thankful. We will be going back again... and again. 5 stars !!

Just went spent 150 to leave hungry. Went there order the lamb with the mint sauce cause thts the reason I go there because I love their mint sauce. To me it s like getting a Big Mac without Big Mac sauce. Then just to be served it without the sauce I went in for. Always loved this place. Just wish I got offered to have a different meal. Instead of being served it without what I ask for. I recommend saving ur money and going to Opa Greece in the food court down the road

Langdon Greek Island Your Greek Home out of Greece Service: Ive never had better service than here, waiting staff is very competent and nice. Management is top notch, Yani is amazing. Food: Ive yet to try a dish that wasnt excellent. Appropriately quick, quality is always on the menu & you really get a bang for your buck. You can also buy their sauces, theyre to die for. Atmosphere: The second you step inside you are treated like family. No more, no less. Usually busy but they know how to run a restaurant properly. Probably the restaurant Ive been to the most since living in Abbotsford.

When you cant decide what to order a combination plate is the perfect solution. The calamari/souvlaki comes with soup or salad, rice, Greek potatoes, mixed vegetables and pita and tzatziki. We really didnt need dessert but were served a complimentary decadent chocolate truffle to help celebrate my birthday. Delicious!

I really fell asleep on this review! I have been coming to one of these 2 Abby locations since I was a kid and cannot believe I did not ever post a review. (hand hitting forehead) Of all the times we have been there we never took the time to actually read the single specials page; and boy has that ever been a mistake!!!! Last night I noticed date night special so I read that part of page..... for just $62 you get a choice of appetizer (to share), salad, dinner choice of (3 I think) entrées with pita and tzatziki, AND A dessert to share!!!! One of my main go to dishes is the Beef Tagania and that is a choice of appetizer for that special so we obviously picked that. When you leave if you can eat everything you literally need to be dragged out of there in a wheelbarrow because of the amount of food they serve you. The service is always good and the boss usually makes his rounds to be sure all the customers are happy. For a spectacular table side show try the saganaki flambé; we have not tried it yet but did witness the performance. There is a reason Greek Islands is just maybe 2-4 or so places in Abby that has been around forever and is always busy is the food!

We had a server named Robin and she was so good it didnt make sense. She would just appear out of thin air at the perfect time and knew exactly what we needed. It was scary how good the service was, some of us started thinking she had supernatural powers. Would definitely come again

We love coming here and have been doing so for 8 years. It is our favourite place to celebrate and bring family and friends. The food is delicious, whether we get our own dishes or share a platter. Prices are fair for the quality and amount of food you get! Service is always excellent and we have never had a bad experience.

Went into Langdon restaurant to meet a friend hadnt seen In awhile and catch up $120+ bill later we were catching up and chatting ok food and drinks when what I assume was hostess came to table and asked us to leave as they needed table because busy night - Ive worked and been in alot of restaurants never seen this happen, so much for a causal meet up and relaxing evening with a friend - we were given a $10 gift certificate for inconvience - we will go elsewhere next time our mistake thinking it was a casual non fast food environment.

Staff is courteous, they go above and beyond to please, are enthusiastic and interested in their customers. Food is always wonderful! Parking: Parking is packed, have always found a spot, though.

We ordered a large meal tonight for our visiting family. The food is absolutely delicious - best Greek potatoes and Greek salad around. What made it extra special is the extra effort put in by the owner, Yianni. We live in Abbotsford and this will be our go-to Greek place. Thank you!!!

The food here was very very good we had the potatoes skins and they were so cheesy and fresh and the chicken teriyaki stir fry and the kotta skaras and they were absolutely delicious and fresh the service was fast and friendly 100% recommend Food

I always like going to the Greek Islands ever since my first visit. The service is always kind to the customers and the inside of the establishment is clean and looks high-class. The food is top-notch, down to their side salads they serve before the entrees. If you ever come to either locations in Abbotsford, I recommend their schnitzels or the Chicken Oscar.

Greeting staff was nice but server wasnt; couldnt answer questions about the food. Calamari tasted bad, like it was cooked in very old oil like other reviewers have noted. Their food seemed generally low quality, priced medium-high, with large portions. Way more grease and oil than I want or expect. Ceasar salad was nice but again it had an insane amount of dressing so yeah you throw enough lard on something and it tastes good. But that isnt what I want to go to a restaurant for...

It was me and my GF 1 year anniversary. After doing some quick searches we decided on Greek Islands in Abbotsford. What an incredible experience we had. We ordered the greek platter for 2 which included multiple items. Everything was top notch. Best greek potatoes and rice I have ever had. They even presented us with an anniversary dessert which was incredible too. Our server Serena was an absolute pleasure in every way possible. It is so nice to find a place that takes pride in their food and service like this place does. Well done Greek Islands..thank you for a wonderful night. See you again soon!

This chain has existed in the city for decades, and the longevity is a testament to the quality of the overall experience. They are able to accommodate vegetarians, and the bar selection is pretty good. Service has always been good when Ive gone. Delivery is also a viable option. Vegetarian options: Decent options, and they arent fussy about certain substitutions. Parking: There is parking out front, and plenty of designated overflow parking in the church lot next door Kid-friendliness: High chairs and a kids menu that doubles as a colouring sheet

I highly recommend the Greek Island Restaurant! It was ladies night ( 7 Shades of Beauty) out and wow what a fantastic time we had lots of laughs and great memories! Our server Makayla was great we had lots of questions about certain items on the menu and she took her time to help us. The house wine was good and at a reasonable cost. This place has great food and service. But it s LOUD! My wife and I went for her birthday, and were seated right in front of the bar. Conversations, order taking with the bartender, blenders, glasses, dishes, and more. There are no natural barriers in the rest of the place to dampen the sound. Even early on a Thursday evening, the cacophony was reminiscent of a hockey game. The place is clean and well kept. Parking is adequate. We would love to return, but the noise level is a definite detraction. Perhaps next time they renovate, they might consider some measures to cut down on the noise. We recommend for food and service, but would avoid for business dinners or romance. You can t have a conversation across the table.

Great food and atmosphere. We came at dinner rush without a reservation and got a table. It was in the corner and the restaurant was busy, so understandably took longer for service. But the service was excellent when it came.

We were provided with the lovely table for 2, without a reservation on a very busy Friday. The food is great, the atmosphere is a wonderful, and our server was spot on. The manager came to meet us at our table, as we mentioned it was our first time in the restaurant. Overall it was a lovely experience.

I mean this place is just a solid 10/10 all day. It starts with the owners being so involved in everything. You just feel like your at your families place. I even watched them sing happy birthday to customers. Everyone has an eye on what s going on and the attention to detail and how each table is doing is impressive. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning and I feel like I m sitting in Greece. Top notch food goes without saying !. Also, even though they have great drinks I was super pleased when the owner offered me a virgin banana margarita. finding good virgin drinks can be tough !. My husband and I look forward to coming back.

From the moment you walk in, you realize that this place is amazing. The staff is wonderful. They welcomed us with bright smiles. The tables setting felt amazing. With so many amazing choices on the menu, it was so hard to order. Once we decided, the salad arrived and tasted amazing. The chicken and lamb were cooked to perfection. Dessert was super yummy. This was an amazing experience. Highly recommend this local jewel

Service was terrible. She was unfamiliar with the menu. Stand-off-ish. Food was okay. Pita came out burnt - even the server agreed it was burned, but she served it anyway - she blamed the toaster and laughed it off. Saganaki appy only comes with 1/2 a piece of pita now. We were charged $2.00 per additional pieces needed to finish the appy. Kids fish and chips was fish sticks instead of real fish, as it was in the past. I ordered a glass of Cab Sauv, she asked which one I said, there is only one on the menu she was still confused. We also ordered Prosecco, she asked, oh, is there Prosecco on the menu?! She was surprised to learned they have it by the glass *facepalm Veg was too salty and undercooked. There were way smaller portions than in the past. Shrink-flation has taken even this restaurant. Just not as good an experience as in the past.

Greek Islands in Abbotsford (there are 2 to choose from) are family owned restaurants and serve the best Greek food that Ive tried, from Surrey to Chilliwack! All their dishes are generouslyportioned, perfectly flavored, and served by happy, knowledgeable professionals. Its definitely our favorite Greek restaurant.

Just go! Seriously do not hesitate. It easily the best Greek food! We will be back every time we are in town. Thank you for the great experience

Best Greek food Ive ever had, by far. Waitress was super friendly and the service was awesome. I got the lamb souvlaki lunch skewer with Greek salad. The dressing was AMAZING, I think they also sell it so next time Im there Ill have to buy some lol. The roasted potatoes and vegetables were SOOOOO good. I could eat it everyday and never get sick of it. Parking: Several parking spots in front and a bunch in the back too Kid-friendliness: This is a family friendly restaurant. Just try to keep them from ruining everyone elses night out.

The roast lamb was superb,,the portion size was super,,,was definitely stuffed,,,very good,,,used to eat at elenis in mission but shrinkflation took over real bad. Definitely recommend this place

Been going here for years. Always great. Tonight was super busy but the food still cane out fast and you didnt feel like the staff were struggling to deal with you. Super friendly and welcoming
