Food was good but they brought wrong items first and then brought everything item after 20 min one by one. Slow service

Two times in a row I have asked for maximum spice level and neither time was my dish remotely spicy. This is an easy fix, but won t take the risk and won t be coming back.

Ordered for pick up and it was ready fast and had excellent portions particularly in the naan department.

Slow service I wait on dine 20-30 minutes nobody come for take order also after order to long wait for food , I go there due to good rating on google but it s too bad as per my opinion do not visit there don t waste your time. Moreover Only 2 guys served to all people its to hard for two guys to serve people and manage reception (no doubt staff is good) Why you are not hiring more staff ?

The food is horrible it has no taste. Everything has a lots of masala sauce but no quality and flavor. Very bad food . The mutton briyani was so bad we couldn t finish our lunch . The non veg food had a very strong smell.

I used to love Spice Kitchen. But new management means poor quality. My veggies were from a frozen bag and my korma was watery and awful. When I called to complain, they were unwilling to replace my meal (despite initially offering to). Don t go to this restaurant if you have a craving for good Indian food. You will be as disappointed as I am right now. Vegetarian options: My dish was vegetarian as it was meant to be, but it was too awful to eat. Save your money and go to a decent Indian restaurant. Dietary restrictions: They claimed the food lacked flavour because they had to change the recipe to make it gluten free, despite it saying gluten free on the menu as-is.

This company caters, and they bring a large food truck (understandable) but position a massive, extremely loud generator on the street for the entire neighbourhood to hear. It is unbelievably disrespectful. There is no reason you cant get power from the house or pay an extra $500 for a quiet generator. Furthermore, this is 2024. We have power banks that could easily power your food truck for the day. NOT COOL!

Best palace to eat

One word: Horrible, the worst dine-in experience in Canada so far in the last few years. Service: From the moment we walked in, the service was lacking. We were 3 including my 5yo kid and they kept providing cutleries just for 2. Although the restaurant wasnt busy (just one more table occupied), they could serve the food after a long waiting time. It could have been justified if the food was good. Food: We ordered few dishes: Papdi Chaat, Momo, Kadhai Paneer, Yellow Daal Tadka, Jeera Rice and some garlic naan but none of the items was tasty even though we re hungry after a long road trip. The Kadhai Paneer was horrible, it was not even cooked properly, tasted as if were eating raw turmeric. Although they changed later when we asked them, it was a bit better and eatable but not good though. Yellow daal tadka & Jeera rice : Unable to understand, how can a Indian restaurant go wrong with the simplest dish. No taste of tadka in daal, it was just the turmeric taste and burnt jeera in rice. Papdi Chaat : Not sure how can a dish be called Papdi Chaat without papdi , they just served namak para mixed with dahi bhalla. Tasted okay with the seasoning but nowhere near to papdi chaat. Momo : Tasted okay although did not even have appropriate filling.

This is a hidden gem. The place is fully renovated recently, the food is great with good service. I wish them all the success, highly recommended.

Service is definitely a problem here and on a Sunday night when they were barely busy. We attempted to order two different naan breads as appetizers as they were clearly listed as individual items. The waitress told us we had to order them with certain meals that she pointed to on the meal. We showed her the separate price on the menu and she walked away. When she returned and asked for our order we again said we wanted the naan separately and wanted other meals. She took the order and while one dish arrived quickly, it was about 10 minutes for the other to arrive. In the meantime, the otherwise quiet restaurant started blasting, and I do mean blasting, Indian music. I immediately asked if they could turn it down and it took several minutes for them to do so. Someone on staff obviously wanted to hear a song played loudly. The food was good, but we won t return based on the poor service/attitude we saw.

On June 5, we reported that the chicken pakora was inedible as it was too hard to eat. We requested credit, which they gave. With that credit, we placed another order and found a staple inside the food. There is no way this place is clean and professional.

Horrible! Avoid this place. We ordered two lamb biriyani s and one chicken biriyani. What we got is plain rice with some meat in it. It was just so plain, no spice, no flavour. Never had anything like this. I asked the waitress if it s always like this biriyani cooked without a bit of gravy. She has no customer service skills at all. We had to wait 45 mins or even longer only to get served something like this. We only had two bites and decided to leave. She never cared to ask if everything s okay. I had to go up to her ask about it. Didn t even hear a sorry you didn t like it . This can t be called a biriyani. It s just plain rice with some masala powder on top and meat.

I used to come here all the time, because they had the best butter chicken in town! This particular experience was the absolute WORST!!!! I called to place my order over the phone, as I used to always do . it took me almost 15 minutes to try and explain what I wanted! So after talking to 2 or 3 different people I had to talk to a couple different people, I was FINALLY able to get my order communicated! (I kept getting different answers to my questions, and got really frustrated, because they didnt understand what I was saying. I had explained that I could NOT have gluten or sugar, and they said no problem. I had ordered a butter chicken and got a gluten free roti with it for an dditional $0.99. When I was asked for my name over the phone, I said, Charlotte, like Charlottes Web. (Which I thought was obvious) Can you spell that please? she replied, so I spelled it out nice and slow for her..... When I was given my receipt, which was just a note with what I ordered, it had my name on the bottom that read, Charloppe. What does that say? I asked. And she said, Oh she wrote your name down. The gluten free roti was hard as a rock, and didnt taste like roti AT ALL! Also, the butter chicken was unusually sweet. I had called back the restaurant to ask if there was any sugar in this dish, and she said no. So I asked what sweetener was used, and once again, had to talk to 2 different people, before the chef finally came to the phone. After pratically arguing with me that there was no sugar, I asked him to read me the ingredients of the tomatoes and tomato paste they use; I had to repeat myself MULTIPLE times, before he finally read me the ingredients on BOTH. Contains sugar, he said. Um..... if a customer tells you they CAN NOT have sugar, dont you think maybe you should know the ingredients before you make it? Thank God Im not anaphalactic, or Id be in the ER right now, and filing a lawsuit!!! I dont know if people are just getting lazier and more careless, or if they are truly that ignorant?! I did end up eating the [sweet] butter chicken I ordered, because it was my dinner. Unfortunately, I am getting quite ill! (Maybe from the sugar that I said I couldnt have? ) I was also given a FORK to eat butter chicken. (Which was more like sauce with a few chicken pieces-can I please have some chicken with my sauce???) If you ate soup, would you use a fork for it? This place went from the best in town, to the worst! Ill order elsewhere from now on!!! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free roti it hard as a rock-doesnt tast like roti AT ALL! Dont enjoy waste your money!!!

Yesterday we celebrated party here food was very delicious price was low as compare to other restaurants. Service was so fast , family atmosphere.

Horrible service. Even though we had reservations, upon arrival, we stood for a while until we got tired and called a waiter to seat us, there were empty chairs in the dinning area and other people sitting in the waiting room for god knows how long. While being seated a waiter finaly showed and we order appetizers. Maybe 30min later the first appy showed, then 15min later the second one showed and was super salty, then 15min later the last ones showed up, so we ordered the main course as an hour already passed. During this time no waiters showed up unless to deliver our food. A group of people sat after we put in our main order, and then roughly an hour goes by no sign of waiters, no sign of food, no sign of hope. There was an accident of spilt water on the floor in this time and absolutely no one came to even notice. The group of people left as they have been starving for almost an hour, and another table got up to pay and leave as well, still no sign of any waiters to take the payments. As of now the entire jug of water has dried. Everyone is trying call any type of employee to take their payment so they can leave this place. I swear the passport agency moves faster than Spice Kitchen. I don t even know what the atmosphere was, there were formal wear customers and people that show up in hoodies and flip flops, and it was oddly dark and bright. What a horrible Mother s Day experience.

This restaurant is the best restaurant in Abbotsford. Food was great,the taste was awesome. Fountain was cherry on the cake. It was so relaxing. Now I will go more often.

Ordered online , delivery promised for 6:11, food arrived at 7:15 after 3 follow up calls to restaurant. Staff did not seem overly concerned by delay, offered lame apologies and no discount on order. Promised discount on future orders, which will not happen. And make sure to order rice for curry dishes as it is not included with the sauces. Website is not clear on what is included with meals. Pick up or expect to WAIT a long time for food, and restaurant does not provide updates to you, you have to call them.

Food was great, no complaints about the taste. My only complaint was the buffet. It was basically empty, we had to scrape the tray to get anything and had very limited assortment. We were there for a while but no staff replenished until we left. I was disappointed because the food was actually good.

They sent me Burnt naans and did not even refund worst food ever

This was, by far, the worst Indian restaurant experience in my life. First, the staff is not needed, because you need to write down your own order on a very poor looking piece of paper. I have food allergies, so we asked the waitress (who was just standing over us, waiting for us to finish writing our order) which dishes are dairy free. Im also coeliac, so I ordered a gluten free naan bread. She went back to the kitchen to confirm with the chef, we placed our order, and there she went. We ordered 3 dishes to share. After a VERY LONG wait, we got presented with our order, delivered to us by a very dirty looking robotic device. We yet again, had to go through the self-service and get the food from the robot to the table ourselves. 2 second later, the waitress comes over to say that one of the dishes is with dairy... The rest of the dishes, that I could actually eat, were just below edible. A spinach dish was just pure salt. The potato one was tasteless, and as I mentioned, I couldnt taste the third dish due to my allergies. The gluten free naan was literally swimming in grease. How can anyone even try to eat that. It screams indigestion. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone!!!

Visited yesterday - 10th March, 2024. It is close to my place, although I never had food from there. But after going there yesterday, I believe I will go again. The quantity and quality were both excellent. While we had take-out, there was a rush of people who came in to dine-in. Surprisingly, everyone was attended in a timely manner. Try their Goat Biryani. You wont regret it. KUDOS!!

Amazing food and friendly staff with bonus of a cute serving robot!

Our experience tonight was disappointing. Despite arriving promptly at 9:15 on March 17th, the staff seemed disinterested in providing any assistance with seating and merely instructed us to find our own place. Unfortunately, it appeared that their attention was diverted when someone familiar to them arrived, as we waited for 15 minutes without anyone attending to us or even offering water. Although one staff member was occupied with cleaning, they seemed to prioritize taking orders for other customers over attending to our needs. This visit was particularly disheartening as this restaurant has been a favorite of mine due to its food quality. I will never come again .

We came here for a Buffett, and there was not much selection for food. Moreover, there was no naan. We had to wait in between eating for naan and keep asking for more naan. We felt bad for asking the server to keep bringing naan as he was the only one working. Not to mention absolutely horrible fruit fly problem. The fruit flies were all over the Buffett station and followed us to the table as well. However, the shai paneer and naan were just fine. In addition, the mango shake also came warm. In the end, pay like $5 more and go to a better Indian restaurant.

The Goat Vindaloo was AMAZING!! And the Pakora was sooo delicious as well. The waitress is always very kind and very helpful. Also many options for people with food allergies!! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

I ve ordered from the Spice Kitchen over the past 8 years and this last time was very disappointing. The Shahi Paneer had an overwhelming fennel flavour and zero spice despite asking for medium. There were only 4 shrimp in the prawn masala and they have great shrunk in size in comparison to previous orders. This dish was also lacking in flavour and the veggies were soggy. Not sure if the kitchen had an off night but I will not be ordering again anytime soon.

I travel to Abbotsford regularly with work. This is one of my most favourite restaurants in the country! The food is spectacular, and the staff are all great. Don t miss this one!

Only complaints I have is that the service was slightly slow at first (which didnt last long they picked it up), and certain options at the buffet were low and needed restocking (which they did so it wasnt a huge deal; it was mere chance upon me arriving). Loads of good things to say. The staff were quite friendly and welcoming. I have not had much Indian food prior so when I had questions about the cuisine they were informative. Food was quite delicious and filling you definitely get your moneys worth. The place was quite clean, looked quite high class. Music was pretty good that was playing it had a great atmosphere. I always like trying new things so I quite enjoyed going. Highly recommend this place, great for trying out new types of food you may have not considered.

I recommended this restaurant to my office guy for ordering food for 20 people. And they forgot to give sauce with pakoda. After calling back they told me to give a discount next time. But after next week they said we can only give extra sauce. Thats funny Every guy at work blamed me for suggesting this restaurant, but from now never going for this restaurant. Edit :- as your reply. The lady on call didnt tell me that you can deliver sauce. She said we need to pickup but why anyone go back 10 kilometers to pick up sauce and moreover I didnt ask for free food I just reminded about the discount thing staff agreed to give on call but they deny in person and for past experience it just recommended to me by someone in my people but it was my first time when I ordered for office people. And my experience was terrible. Just a recommendation stay on your words or never give them. Good luck I recommended this restaurant to my office person to order food for 20 people. And they forgot to serve the chutney with the pakoda. After calling back they asked me to give a discount next time. But after next week they said we can only give extra chutney. This restaurant doesn t even deserve 1 star. Absolutely horrible experience. My first experience in this restaurant. Found strain of hair in 2 dishes. One in Chicken madras and one in butter chicken. When informed server about the hair in food. According to her she checked in the kitchen and the food is cooked by male cook as there is no female cook. So she suspect and blamed us if we added the hair the food. Myself, being a hospitality professional and based on my experience in this restaurant, I wasn t expecting the arrogant answer. Service is slow, you have to write your own order on KOT (Kitchen Order Ticket) as they are short of staff. My experience with this Restaurant was unpleasant and based on the server arrogance, it sounded like I was asking for free food. I wouldn t recommend this restaurant and won t be coming back.

I recently visited this restaurant, hoping for a delightful Indian cuisine experience. However, my visit turned into a nightmare. To my horror, both the butter chicken and madrasi chicken dishes were contaminated with hair. The waiter s response was utterly disappointing, as they shamelessly blamed us for the hair in the food. It s unacceptable for a restaurant to serve food with such hygiene issues and then pass the blame onto the customers. The lack of accountability and professionalism displayed by the staff is deeply concerning. I strongly advise against dining at this establishment. The cleanliness standards are clearly questionable, and the way they handle customer complaints is disgraceful. My appetite was ruined, and the whole dining experience was beyond disappointing. I won t be returning, and I advise others to steer clear of this place.

I had orderd shahi paneer and naan but got shocked to saw hair in shahi paneer and also the quality of naan was not too good I would rather waste the money than spent here.

We went to this little Indian Restaurant and where glad we did. Food was delicious the samosa was incredible and my Lamb vindaloo was so good everybody loved there food as well. I have to say that one of the waiters was a little bit like a robot but totally fun.

One of the best garlic naans I ve had so far.

This is the top rated Indian restaurant on skip the dishes and it s kind of pathetic. The curries taste like tomato sauce? No flavour.

We went there for the first time. firstly, the smell was weird when we entered then the table was too small for us when we requested to change the table the staff changed us to other table but that was not clean at all and the surface and their menu was so sticky. When we asked a about that the staff member one of the punjabi girl (around 10 pm) was arguing that they don t know which table is clean or which is dirty if they were not sure how can they want their customers to sit on the table to eat. So we left and didn t eat anything. So disappointed

just got the fish for the first time and it feels like m having veg pakoda s. it doesn t taste like a fish pakoda. m really disappointed with the food quality. also they don t provide green sauce and salad with fish pakoda wherein others do provide that. don t like it

I went to spice kitchen from surry because my relatives invite me. Service was so slow, I wait for 1 hour to get my meat platter, it was not hot, taste like cooked for 2 days. I Wait for 2h 3min to get my food. Dessert= I of dessert taste like they buy it from Walmart and serve it. I COULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO NOT GO THERE.

Really bad experience we were celebrating birthday with family.We ordered food but had to wait here for 1hour for appetizers after waiting time we got our food cold seems like stale food .Never want to go there and also dont like to recommend anyone.

If you want to eat authentic and delicious Indian food you dont have to look any further! Everything is perfect here! We tried 6 different dishes as a family and everything was perfect! You really taste the difference between the dishes and the fine spices will take you to a journey to Indian within one order! On top : this is the kind of service you miss these days at other places. The owners are so lovely and are really taking care of the staff and the clients!!! Thanks so much Vegetarian options: Huge variety of vegetarian dishes!!! Dietary restrictions: Everything is made by order and you will get what you like Parking: Huge parking lot around the corner. Kid-friendliness: The owners and the staff really love kids and will provide Indian food for them without being too spicy. They also have kids menus that every child will appreciate. Wheelchair accessibility: Huge easy entry for handicapped without barriers.

I ve eaten here a couple times a month since moving to Abbotsford in September. I order 2 dishes dhaba goat, and lamb korma. They ve both been good and kept me and my family coming back. But I guess they changed the recipe of the korma to be essentially a weak curry flavoured tomato soup. Too bad, I enjoyed getting take out from there.

Terrible experience! Horrible food! My partner and I were there for lunch. There was 1 person apparently doing everything! We immediately ordered mango lace, the drink came warm and at the end of the lunch. The rice was hard and crunchy, the taste of the food was terrible it tasted like old food re heated many times. When I spoke to the only person working at the place she said agreed it was old food and she couldn t do anything about it. I then asked her for a cup to take my drink to go and she couldn t find one and asked me to go back to my table as she had to help another person. (This is when I was paying, so she was still helping me). I said forgert it and left the restaurant without being able to finish my drink. Poor quality of food, terrible customer services! I really don t recommend this restaurant! What impresses me as well is that the restaurant was almost empty when we got there and the waiter was still slow. Anyway, I m very disappointed.

The ambience was really nice and overall service by ms. mehak was also good. The amritsari kulcha and momos were phenomenal.
