Tasty Indian Bistro in Abbotsford

I had an early reservation for work event at Abbotsford location. I called to confirm the reservation. I visited the place too and pick the spot for our event.. They confirmed and all was set. On the night of our work event, we were placed to different spot.. Very disappointed.

This place is great. Was excited when the Abbotsford location opened. Beautiful restaurant, food was great, and portions were really good. Had the lunch Thali and was enough to feed 2 people. Would definitely recommend. Flavors were perfect. Staff was wonderful and helpful.

The service and food was excellent. We had a party of 50 and Tasty Indian Bistro in Abbotsford was amazing to hold our event for a farewell party. I also went there with a group of 5 people for lunch the week before. I will be coming back soon to enjoy their delicious cuisine. The atmosphere is top notch.

Had dinner at the Abby location tonight and it was exceptional. The ambience is better than any other restaurant in town. It looks classy and modern. I d read in some reviews that the music was too loud but that was not an issue at all. I was there with my kids and we were easily able to talk and hear one another. The food was fantastic. We were blown away by the whole experience. It s the nicest restaurant we ve been to in BC and it s such a great addition to the restaurant scene in our town. Shout out to our server Sadaf who was just lovely. Highly, highly recommend.

Throughly enjoyable experience at Tasty last night. Beautiful atmosphere and attention to detail. Our server Krushmeet was fantastic, she was polite, friendly and attentive without being pushy or overbearing. We were sat in the glass area underneath a heater, and found ourselves uncomfortably hot, we asked Krushmeet to have the heater turned down/off, within minutes the manager had adjusted the heat settings, so we were very impressed at the attentive staff and response. Food came fast, was hot and fresh, again beautiful presentation to match the beautiful decor. Try the chicken Nann, it s great! More high praise to Tasty staff, as the Cosmopolitan cocktail is not listed on the drinks menu, my wife asked if it was possible to order, and Krushmeet told us, no problem we can make it for you and it was possibly the best Cosmo my wife has ever had. Well done Tasty, very impressed, we ll be back soon!

After visiting their other locations, I decided to dine in here, and once again, Tasty s surpassed all expectations. This time, I tried the fish tacos, the butter sauce pasta, Delhi 6 nihari, and kalonji, and each dish was an absolute standout. Taste of food is so good and i love the infrastructure

Excellent food and service and the most elegant interior and decor Ive seen in a restaurant in a very long time. There was an abundance of staff serving tables and greeting at the entrance. We enjoyed chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, basmati rice and garlic naan. We requested mild and the dishes were mild with a tiny bit of heat to them. The Tasty Indian Bistro was a delightful discovery for us in Abbotsford. Well be back.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant, starting with the mediocre food and ending with incredibly unprofessional service. The food was lackluster at best, but what really stood out was the poor service. Our server was stairing at us while she was sitting at the bar chair. We felt extremely uncomfortable. When it came time to check out, we politely thanked her for the service, but she didn t even acknowledge our thanks she just completely ignored us. It s unfortunate because a simple show of professionalism could have made a big difference. I won t be returning.

Building is Beautiful but service and food is poor. Dosa club is still number one in Abbotsford Tasty Indian is Not worth as it s too expensive only service fee and tax is that much you can eat other place with that money . Horrible experience,will never go there again .I ordered 1 order of fish tacos,2 drinks,and coconut shrimp curry with rice on the side.My Bill was $120 dollars with 16 dollars service charge lol.My table had 7 people who paid all separately.One of my vegetarian friend ordered cauliflower curry with naan on the side and fish pakora.Guess what was his Bill? 90 dollars including service fee and it wasn t even good.Our table spend total of 650 dollars.We approximately we spend about 2 hours .We didn t bother to order dessert and went to chaiwala. These guys are super super expensive with service fee they tag on your bill.I always tipped good if it deserved it.l will Let all my families and friends know Not to go there.

Went with a group of 6, starting off with the food, I got to try the lamb curry, mango chicken curry, butter chicken, palak paneer, kadahi paneer, garlic naan and the ferrero rocher jar. Everything I had a chance to try was very good. The garlic naan was especially good so it was great to pair with any curry. As for service, it was also very good. We were never out of water and the waitresses would come regularly to make sure everything was ok. They were also attentive and would ask if we would like more naan when wed run out. Overall, very good service. Finally, the atmosphere. This was probably the only real let down. The restaurant itself is very nice, looks newly renovated and clean; however, it is very hot in there. My entire group was sweating by the end due to the heat of the restaurant combined with the heat of the food and it likely didnt help that the restaurant was packed. This was definitely a tad unpleasant and would be drastically improved if they had the A/C on when it gets busy. Another issue is the music, the music was just simply too loud, it was hard to hear the people at my table and the waitresses. These 2 things were enough to really be disappointing considering how good the rest of the experience was. I hope this does improve as I would love to go back in the future.

I booked a reservation a week in advance for my fiancés parents birthdays. The day of the reservation the restaurant even called to confirm the reservation. Closer to the reservation time we were running late so we called the restaurant to let them know we would be 15-20 mins late and to hold our reservations, they said that would be fine. I arrived at the restaurant to the entire staff being clueless. They had ended up giving up our reservations to someone else despite us doing our due diligence to let them know we would be there. The staff was extremely unprofessional telling us to wait in a corner until other people had finished their desserts to be offered a seat. We ended up leaving as the staff was extremely unprofessional and rude. The staff at the front end did not know anything and seemed like it was all of their first days on the job. Seems like no training has been provided to the staff. Extremely disappointed in their service, we will not be returning. There are much better Indian restaurants in the area that offer much better service.

Review of Tasty Indian Bistro I recently visited Tasty Indian Bistro and was disappointed with the noodles and gravy Manchurian. The flavors were bland and lacked the bold, vibrant taste typical of Indo-Chinese cuisine. The noodles felt dull, and the Manchurian gravy was too thick and uninspired. Compared to other locations, this one fell short in flavor. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and I expected much better.

I was looking for good chhole bhature and finally found the perfect place! The chhole were flavorful, and the bhature were perfectly soft and crispy. The portion size was generous, and the presentation was excellent. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick, making the experience even better. Definitely the best chhole bhature in the city. I ll be coming back for more!

Terrible Experience - 18% Service Fee for No Reason I ve never been more frustrated with a dining experience. My group of 6 went to this restaurant, and we were hit with an unexpected 18% service fee just because we were six people. When I questioned the manager about it, they simply said, It s charged more than five people. That was their whole explanation. Apparently, the restaurant thinks it s okay to charge an inflated fee based on the number of guests, which is not only ridiculous but also feels like a hidden charge disguised as service. The food wasn t even good enough to justify this absurd practice. Never going back! Avoid this place if you don t want to be unfairly charged for simply dining with a group.

Came to Tastys for dinner Saturday night! Excited to experience the atmosphere of a new restaurant! We were not let down!! We have gone to Surrey location numerous times as we find the food amazing unfortunately the service hasn t always been the best! The great news is that coming to the Abbotsford location did we not only enjoy the food we had impeccable service from our server Manisha. She was so informative with drink and good suggestions, her communication was on point and had a great energy every time she came to the table. Anything extra we required she was quick to fulfill. As I mentioned we go to tasty restaurant just for the food, but now finally we can say it s was an overall great experience!

I had high expectations for Tasty Indian, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. I expected more from this restaurant and I left feeling dissatisfied. Throughout our meal, the waitress stood in the corner watching us eat, which felt uncomfortable. She would occasionally check in to see if we needed anything, but her presence made it hard to relax and enjoy our meal. I ordered the Ferrero jar, and it was disappointing. The jar was about 75% filled, with the remaining 25% filled mostly with whipped cream. Paying $15 for what felt like a half-filled dessert didn t seem worth it....

I went to tasty for the first time in Vancouver about 2 year my experience was horrible, the food is over priced, our service sucked. I went to the new location in Abbotsford and I never step into tasty again, food is overpriced for his taste and quality, the bathroom are in horrible space I bumped into their own employees standing around the bathroom as that s where they have their desk. We sitting and I can t tell you how many time the employees bumped my chair while passing to get around, I got up and checked it they had another door but nope the space is crowded. I am not sure how they got the license to run the place. Our service was super great but that doesn t help when the quality of the food is -0 tasted disgusting so yes it hurt paying them $200 for food that made me sick, environment that I didn t feel comfortable in and the overall setting.

Came to Tasty With high hopes and Expectations for A good Indian Food. However, the Food was not worth the Price they charge and and Quantity is soo Small for Drinks. Food was a Classic Example lf White Washed Indian Food. No flavours or spices. just bland plain food. Food was little Over cooked to from outsides. You come to A indian Resraurant to eat indian Food with indian Flavours. Not The food Catered to taste of white people and Taking away the whole Authenticity. I was really Dissapointed by the Drink Size As well.

We went to try out the new Tasty Bistro in Abbotsford. The service was good. the upsell game was a high priority... the food was okay. The vibe in the place was definitely loud and bumping.. all in all, a decent place.

Not recommend going there. Food was not good, appetizers were ok. Not worth for what you pay. Too loud, vibe was bad.

The lamb was soo good

To start the night, I ordered the Afghani Chicken Lollipops and the Tasty Tacos with fish! The tacos, wow, beat my expectations! Packed full of flavour, nice piece of crispy fish and a well balanced kick to it! The Afghani Chicken Lollipops werent my favorite as I felt like they lacked spice and flavour. They were trimmed and cooked well but it was missing that little extra something that Tasty is known for! To pair with our starters, we started with the Mango Chamomile Sour, a gin based egg white sour cocktail and the Mister Truffle, made with truffle infused bourbon! Both were amazing! I particularly enjoyed the Mango Chamomile Sour! For our mains we ordered the Lamb Vindaloo, the Mango Chicken Curry (one of my all time favs), with garlic naan and raita. The lamb vindaloo was cooked very well, great level of spice and flavour that youd expect from a vindaloo. The Mango chicken was also cooked very well and it balanced out the vindaloo perfectly. The garlic naan and raita were both good with decent portions of both. I paired my dinner with the 2pm in Goa a tequila based cocktail with guava, agave, honey, ginger and coconut! This cocktail is definitely on the sweeter side but it went down great with the spicy vindaloo! Now, onto the service... for a busy opening night, it was great! We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server came over and introduced herself, asked us if we had any questions and let us know shed be back shortly. From the time we were seated, to the time we were served our mains only an hour had passed! Not once did we feel rushed, we were suggested several items and drinks throughout the evening, and we were attended to through the evening promptly! I wish I had room for dessert because I really wanted to end the night with the Cardamom Dream Bar... guess thatll have to wait till next time! Overall, great experience!

I have had the pleasure of dining at Tastys, where my daughter is employed as a busser. Their mini burgers were so dry and tasteless. Last time your Nihari was overcooked. I mean I m just very disappointing. Orders mini burger on October 26th at 10:15pm

The music was way too loud! We couldnt have any type of real conversation with our table of 4. If you want to be a nightclub, be a nightclub. The place itself was beautiful. The food was definitely tasty, but the portions were small for the price. Our server was terrible and kept bringing us the wrong dishes. It took over an hour to get our entrees after the appetizers. I am sure we will be back at some point, but not any time soon.

We were there with our friends for dinner.All things were awesome but their prices were so expensive.

Mains took around 45 minutes to arrive and although service was excellent, the food was very disappointing and the manchurian and lamb shank were undercooked.

Couple things bad about this place but 1 thing was good Service was good, Food was terrible, the Naan tasted like they were plastic. The Malia Chicken Tikka was terrible the goat Masla was very thick, Everything was overpriced. I would not recommend this place, Me and my group feel like Puking after eating this food. Talking about Puking my wife is puking already, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Checked out the new Abbotsford location tonight with a friend for dinner. The food was great. The service was good. They spent a lot of money trying to make the place look upscale but they dropped the ball when it came to the bathroom. Yes, singular. To spend all that money renovating a space just to put in a unisex bathroom with multiple stalls....whats that about??? We enjoyed our time there, until my friend had to use the bathroom. Too bad they didnt consider their customers comfort level in that regard.

Very tasty food. Probably the best and tastiest in Mainland. But quantity and pricing not pleasing. Every dish is a blanket price of $20+. Even 8 small pieces of Fish Pakora is $20 and you get no chutney with it (Zaika is $12 btw, with chutney, salad and more quantity). For me, the price and size of dishes makes this a NO repeat . $80 : 2 entrees, Fish pakora and 3 naan . Sorry.

I recently visited this restaurant on Oct 27/2024 and was very disappointed with my experience. The service was incredibly slow, and it took forever for our orders to be taken and even longer for the food to arrive.we ordered drinks and had to go to the bar to get our drinks.We asked for appetizers they forgot and food came before the appetizers and was not flavorful. I tried one more time on november 1st and was told to be seated and then went to the bar and got refused for service,without no explanation,Even weI expected much better based on the reviews, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. I won t be returning anytime soon.

Visited with my brother today, and it was amazing from start to finish. The vibe was perfect relaxed yet lively. We ordered some of the dishes suggested by our server- sev puri, dal makhni, Tasty Sliders, paneer tikka masala and kalonji naan. Everything was flavorful and tasted awesome. We also tried the Spicy Margarita and Chilli Fizz mocktails which added a great kick to our meal. Our server and The other staff treated us really well. This place definitely made my day, and I d love to come back again and again. Perfect choice for anyone in Abbotsford!

The food is outstanding especially the paneer tikka and garden noodles. This has been my best experience at any Indian restaurant in Abbotsford, and Ill definitely be back! If youre in the area, dont miss it! Vegetarian options: Whenever I go to Indian restaurants, the vegetarian options are often quite limited. Many places I have visited have served dry and bland paneer tikka, as if they arent even trying to make it appealing. However, the Paneer Tikka at Tasty Indian Bistro Abbotsford was amazing! It arrived on a sizzling platter with rich masala flavor, and the creamy chutney was everything I hoped for.

We celebrated my father s birthday at Tasty s. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the food was delicious. The decor was impressive and added to the experience. However, our server s approach was overly attentive, which unfortunately disrupted our family moments. She checked on us every few minutes, rushing us to order initially and then quickly asking if we were done as soon as we finished our plates. This constant interruption made it difficult to enjoy our conversations. We also brought a cake from outside, as we have done at other high-end restaurants, but were surprised by a $20 fee for it. Although they mentioned it was their policy, it s not something we ve encountered before and felt a bit off considering the amount we spent on our meal. Overall, it was a pleasant evening with good food, but the service could have been more considerate of our family time.

Love the Surrey location and Vancouver location and now this location. Food is the best, service is amazing too. Everything tastes flavourful and fresh making you come back only here to eat. I even don t want to give them a one star just because we recently visited Tasty Indian Bistro in Abbotsford, hoping for an enjoyable dining experience, but unfortunately, we left disappointed. We had good experience about their Delta location but our visit to this location didn t live up to the expectations. We ordered some snacks the quality of the food is not the same as a delta location also I ordered a chaat papri it s usually come with Bhalla in it but that s missing also they didn t put any of the pomegranate seeds on the top also I ordered a mild spicy but it comes as a supper spicy so disappointed not gonna recommend the Abbotsford location to anyone :(

We had a really good time here! The drinks were fantastic and it didnt damper after that. The complaints Ive read about the music being too loud are noted, but when it gets busy and people are talking, its really nice to have some ambiance. I didnt find it too loud to have conversations with my friends. Do yourself a favour and get dessert. The carrot Halwa was amazing and so was the tableside biryani preparation. Service was also great! Definitely coming back!

Recently visited this tasty location with my family. As the name suggests their food was delicious. Starting from the starters to the mains everything was top notch. Their Lamb chops and paneer tikka are a must try. Service was also up to the mark. Will visit soon again.

Today, I just dined in with my close friend. It is a beautiful restaurant-setting, comfortable, and relaxed with soft music. The service was great, too; our server was friendly, attentive, and full of suggestions. We started with Sev Puri, full of flavor just perfect to kick off the meal. As for the main course, Chicken Tikka Masala was rich, creamy, just rightly spiced, whereas Vegetable Biryani was fragrant, perfectly cooked with tender veggies and great aromatic spices. The star, however, was the Sikandari Raan with Cardamom Dream Bar and Malpura as perfect ending. In general, great service and lovely atmosphere combined with food made for a wonderful dining experience. Really highly recommended, I will be visiting here again and again!

First time here. Got in early so we got a seat right away but it soon packed up very fast. Nicely decorated. Food was tasty however when we ordered we were not asked what spice level we wanted. Service was friendly. I gave 4 Stars for the service and here is why. It would be be nice to be asked what spice level we would like as some people like it very spicy and others not so much. I think one think that would sett this place apart would be to offer either wet wipes or a bowl of water to wipe/ wash our hands after eating as much of food is eaten by hand. Will go and try some other dishes next time.overall a nice place

The Tasty Indian Bistro sets the bar for excellence, with outstanding service followed by an assortment of dishes which all exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be coming back. Even the picky eating children could not get enough. I wish I could spell our servers name to give her personal credit, but the service was at the level youd expect at fine dining, ensuring the table was always clean, even replacing napkins as they got dirty, incredibly pleasant and interactive with the kids. It was a good experience. all was good but taste was missing in their food. Chicken dish was bland and not hot. They bring out dishes so fast feels like they compromise on their cooking. It was not a relaxing experience. Asked for sirke waale pyaaz but it was a sheer disappointment what came out. Roughly cut raw onions like you chop at home and hardly any vinegar in there. Style is definitely missing. Wish they could pay attention to little details.

We were so eager tl try the bistro but this experience has ruined the vibe. The food was mediocre the apace was so congested and untrained staff. Nothing as compared to there delta location. I dont know if its a franchise or same management but its totally different from delta location. Shahi paneer felt like it was poured bunch of sugar in it. Drinks were ok but food was all mediocre compared to the prices they charge same as the delta location

I used to be a big fan of Tastys delta. I ve given Tastys Abbotsford a few chances and sadly they ve missed the mark each time. Most recently, I ordered the naan flatbread which had burnt vegetables and chunks of soggy tomatoes. You d expect better from a 20 dollar dish. Similar experience each time with the orders costing over 100 for mediocre food and small portions. It s just not worth it!
