Here’s a suggestion for your Google review comment: “I recently dined at King Kebab Restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations! The kebab meat was incredibly tender, and the freshness of the food made it absolutely mouth-watering. Everything was cooked to perfection. If I ever have VIP guests visiting Vancouver, this will be my first choice for an exceptional dining experience. Highly recommended!”
I’ve moved out to Abbotsford about a year ago and considering not a lot of Persian restaurants are around the area. I went here with my coworker a few times and it’s been good every time! I ordered the roast lamb shank plus! It’s my go to and lamb slides right off the bone. Yummy!!
As a Persian, I was hesitant to try this place because they have way too many non Persian dishes on the menu. Restaurant is more of a Persian/middle eastern fusion place, ordered the “spicy Koobideh”: 1. These have to be the TINIEST kebabs I’ve ever had. Thing, short, and Not spicy. 2. Rice, have had better rice with real saffron, not food colouring. 3. Tomato, my grilled tomato was a JOKE. ,barely in existence, if it was a bit smaller, it would be invisible. And the owner has the nerve to cut the world’s tiniest tomato in half and only give me half of it! 3. Price. Way way way overpriced for what you get. Almost $19 for my Koobideh. 4. We dined in and the salad was offered first. In a take out container. Seriously? Why don’t you put the salad on the plate and serve with food?? Not to mention how much plastic waste you’re creating. Shameful! While the food taste was good, way too many problems with this place would prevent me from going back. Not worth the expensive price especially since there are so many more authentic Persian places in and around Vancouver at 2/3 the price of this place. Another thing, if the grill is on, then expect Smokey conditions inside the restaurant! We could literally see a layer of grill smoke in the air.. Service was great, best part of the meal.
Very nice experience in Abbotsford. Food is great , service is great and atmosphere is great . Only thing that there were no ice available to add to drinks but other than that, I recommend this place for an excellent dinner in Abbotsford.
Great family friendly restaurant! Very cozy vibes and excellent takeout service. Delicious koobideh kebab that tastes as if it were homemade. Incredible salad dressing as well!
Had dinner with family here before taking a flight from Yxx. Very clean and decent place to our surprise! Food was yummy and full of flavours. Upon ordering I was asked if I wanted spicy and that spice sprinkled on fresh kebabs was definitely too good. Everyone loved that extra spice. I recommend that! The only thing we felt was the rice portion isn't enough compared to all other kabab places we have had in the Lower mainland for the price you are paying! Customer service 👌 Definitely a spot to come back to whenever I am in Abbotsford.
Good place to have kebabs. Very unique. The rice and kebabs are Persian style which is unique. Surprisingly, their veggie kebabs are great, based on my partner. They go light on the spices, so the taste of the meats stands out a bit more. They’re very quick at making the food too. I would recommend for a unique meal experience.
King Kabob has excellent food. They have Persian, Mediterranean and Indian grill dishes. We were visiting Abbotsford and ordered a takeout from them. The takeout experience was great as the food was ready by the time I got there. The food was fresh and tasty. They have a huge list of items in their online Menu. So, be ready to experience that if you are ordering from their website. Restaurant had good seating and ambience was good. I would definitely recommend them and would visit them again when I am in the area.
Best kabobs in town. Such a clean small restaurant .
I love it. Its the best halal food ever
Amazing food and wonderful service.
The best Kabobs in BC!
Vegetarian options: Food was really good. I want everyone to visit and try it. Food
Roast lamb is amazing totally worth it. Somehow the rice is very light in the stomach my daughter always love it.
Delicious food, Nice and Clean restaurant.
You want great food, with a calm environment and a 5 star service, then King Kabob is the place. The owner and the waitresses never disappoint and always serve fresh and tasty food. Thank you
Good food good service clean restaurant
I m so sorry I m writing this but I think this was the worst Persian food I ve ever had in my entire lifetime. I paid $42 for the Shishlik which was awful in taste and ridiculously small in portion. The meat was so bland and the rice was so oily I literally could only have a few bites. Even the humus didn t taste right. It lacked acidity and REAL garlic. All in all, I hope another Persian restaurant opens up soon in Abby.
There s no Persian food anywhere in Mission, so I was so pleasantly surprised to find this place in Abby! The Koobideh was so juicy and delicious, and the rice so flavourful. 10/10 can t wait to come back!
I had dinner with my family at king kabob We ordered a king kebab combo for 2, listed on the menu for $46.95. However, we were charged $49.95, and the meat was dehydrated. Additionally, the rice was uncooked. We also ordered a falafel, listed for $15.95, but we were charged $17. I strongly recommend being cautious and avoiding this place to prevent being overcharged.
Best Kaboob, you should try the Kooby Kaboob are the best. Owner Br. Ali was very nice and kind. Highly recommended.
Super clean , odourless restaurant, polite staff, gentleman owner and good quality food ! All the best for your business
Great food, but I tried the kebab last time, and it was not as I expected.
do NOT come here you will get scammed and if you do you will say i was right
Friendly staff, well priced, good portions, delicious.
Delicious, fresh and large portions. My fam enjoyed every bite.
Very bad experience with food poor quantity and quality. Wrap was literally empty and very high price
Soooooo good! Great portion-sizes and good value in today s economy. Best meal I ve had in a while! Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: Good veggie options like Falafel platter w Hummus! Very delicious, even if you like meat also.
Lovely place, the inside is realy nice, clean and inviting. Lots of food overall however, We found that portion size of the meat was smaller then expected. However the flavors where excellent. We will be back. Food
Ok its been a while I hold this back , this place has a very unstable schedule, most of the time it is closed. Why having a restaurant if you cant have regular business hours like all other restaurant? I believe ownership should reconsider their business visions or do something else as it is obvious they dont care about keeping their customer coming back.
Food is too expensive. We ordered lamb chops and kabobs signature, the taste was OK but the quantity was way less than what s shown in the pictures on menu. I would not order if I knew the size of the chops and kabobs beforehand. Spent $80-$90 which wasn t sufficient for 2 adults.
Absolutely amazing food and friendly service. Owner is always there and super friendly!! Love this place!! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian skewers available! Dietary restrictions: Almost everything on menu is available in gluten free option!
Good
Tired the Signature Kabob and it s was delicious!
Worst food ever veggie I would have cooked it myself instead don t recommend to anybody ever
Always loved their grilled meats, rice and wings. I made the mistake of trying their falafel and it was dry and hard to eat. I thought for sure it would be good.
Horrible experience ever
Ali was great! Needed a party platter next day and he was most accommodating. Everything was on point and ready when we requested. Definitely would go back again. Thanks Ali!
Very good quality and lovely staff
Delish lunch loved by the entire team
Best food ever...
Great food and excellent service. My wife and I came in half an hour before close time ( which we were not aware of), when we asked to dine in, instead of take out , the owner was nice enough to let us sit and enjoy our meal . Very highly recommended.
We ordered a beef kabab, but it was not fried and it was not spicy.... Poor quality... We had ordered a roast chicken legb with rice.... Both dishes were not up to d mark......
Food is real good check out this place I will be back for sure
Perfect all over
Delishous and fresh. Very good
Good and fresh
Lame for what you up for . Plain rice no flavour with a bit of oil soaked into it . Lol no thanks
Tasty food, smiling faces. My 6 year old son loves their Kids Koobide.
Good traditional Persian food!
Good restaurant, great sitting, however, the food is extremely expensive and they have the kababs frozen, since when it came out was all disfigured, the chops were really good but extremely expensive and small portions.
Solid spot.
They they provide very small quantities as they charge compared to other persian restaurants as grab & go.
Food is overpriced compared to the portion they serve. The taste is ok. We ordered 2 extra kobaida sandwiches to go and it was a disaster, they put rice with the kobaida, i did not order burrito so it was shocking for me and it made the sandwich inedible for me. I dont recommend it.
The lamb shank was very flavourful. Rice was perfectly cooked and the my favourite is the grilled tomato. Soo yummm must try
Food was tasty and they serve halal food. Will visit again.
The food is so good I like to meat so much they gave me a treat and I like it it was yum. So I give you five stars.
Incredible food. Kind staff. Food was great got another order to take with us as well. Will be definitely returning.
I often come here every chance I get when I come all the way out here for work! I find this place the best for kebabs, especially the koobeede kebabs. Theyre so flavourful and juicy each time I get it, unlike most places I visit in vancouver or richmond. From the rice to the salad everything else is very light on the seasoning which I love as its easy the on me no matter how my appetite is feeling.
Amazing halah food at very reasonable price.
Dirty place. Empty plate. High price. No quality. Customer service is egregious. Food quality is negative star. The meat had too much too onions. It was horrible. Don t come here. Go somewhere else
Really delicious Persian meals and the manager was really helpful and polite. A bit pricey compared to a fast food but it s totally worth it for the quality! Highly recommended if you visit Abbotsford!
If you expect real Persian style kebab, you may need to find it somewhere else. Kobideh was not soft and rice was not cook well. Golden chicken and salad was good.
Delicious food. I tried Lamb curry with added salad. It s just try dish. Recommended dishes
If you like Persian food than you will love this place.
I have had kababs in many countries, hands down King Kabob is the best. Great tasting food, super clean restaurant and they cook the food right in front. Awesome family owned restaurant. Highly recommend 5 star plus.
Awesome.... I really liked the food and service. I recommend for halal food lovers.
Lamb shank platter is delicious and soft. Good for sharing.
Simar and manmeet were a great help , the food tastes amazing here. They make it ur own choice spice level.
If you re living in Abbotsford or travelling from Abbotsford you can stop in this place for eating delicious the Middle Eastern Kebabs. I went there with my wife and I m suggesting this place to everyone who s liking spicy foods.
would have given five stars but they don t have persian desserts like firni
Good. Decent food.
Easily the best Kabob in BC and Ive tried every place around. I like to get some lamb sauce in the side for the rice. Speaking of the Lamb, also super delicious. Two thumbs
Very tasty gold chicken good service
meh, wasnt good enough to come back again
Cozy restaurant with great options of Kababs and customized Persian and Mediterranean meals. You receive 5-star service in this clean place. Staff are fully professional and super polite. I 100% recommend this place if you are looking for a great Kabab in a neat restaurant.
The quality was very good. The size of both beef and chicken skewers (Koobideh and Jooje) compared to the other Iranian restaurants are very small while the price are pretty the same. Food : 5/5
The food here is so good! Some of the best chicken kabob Ive ever had, it just has such a great smokey flavour. The steak and beef are really good too and the rice I could just eat on its own for daaays. My husband and I started to order delivery from here every Sunday night and it always delicious! I got a couple people at work hooked too, when we occasionally order lunch I always say King Kabob!
Found a hair in the food & we didn t get what we ordered really disappointed.
What a delicious beautiful dinner:) I stopped in to try this out, and what a delight. A hidden Gem The food is made fresh to order, and the owner cooks it by himself. Very friendly small family run business, thankfully not a chain, if you want to support a small business owner, choose this one, you wont be disappointed. You will be delighted . The time, consideration and care this family puts into their meal reflects in their outstanding dishes. If youre looking for delicious, fresh and outstanding, this is the place for you. We had the golden chicken kabob dinner. A fresh salad with a unique salad dressing, that was so good. The roasted tomatoe with the pickled onion were nice, a fresh garlic sauce with pita and the rice, there were 2 different flavors, oh it was so good. The kabob was outstanding, the spices and flavors were great!! Flame broiled to perfection, juicy and good. It was definitely one of my favorite meals of the year. Go to King Kabob and let your taste buds dance and be filled with wonderful flavors. Chef Bess
They have increased the price but the food portion is very less, the kababs were hard to cut it was really disappointing don t waste your time to go this place.
We got take out tonight. The owner was super kind and the service was fast! We got the food home and the portions were a good size and delicious! 100% would go back again, a hidden gem in Abbotsford.
Excellant environment and delicious Iranian dishes.
Lots of options, great food, and great service!
Amazing place, great staff and owner. Tasty food 10/10 :)
An Unforgettable Culinary Experience at KING KABOB. Situated in the heart of Abbotsford, [KING KABOB Restaurant had truly captured my attention with its remarkable commitment to serving deliciously fresh food. Not only did the menu boast an enticing array of delectable options, but the owners generosity and the staffs enthusiasm provided an exceptional dining experience that exceeded my expectations. Whether you find yourself in town for business or simply seeking an opportunity to indulge in a remarkable culinary journey, KING KABOB is an absolute must-visit destination. From the moment I walked through its doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the entire evening. The menu offers an impressive variety of dishes.
I went hunting for a Persian restaurant as we just moved from North Van - I was excited to find king kabob. My only complaint is that their rice wasn t cooked long enough. Their barberry rice and chicken dish was delicious though.
Ive ordered food from here a couple of times now. Both times I was very impressed with the quality of the meat and taste. Cooked to perfection! The establishment is small but its a very nice place. Ive only had take out and I can only imagine its even better dining in. The owner and the staff are very nice and welcoming. They do a great job getting your order ready quickly. Whenever Im in the area I will be back.
The food was super awesome it s worth your money trust me and u won t regret paying. The customer service is nice too. Good option for family.
Amazing food. Great service as well. Must try
Good shoes
I love the kobideh kabab.
Take out
Ordered the king special for two and me and my daughter love it especially the lamb its so soft. Worth the $$$ and its mot even that pricey too. Great service too worth giving a tip! Our new fave dine in place in d city. Try the lamb its sooo good! Parking: Lots of parking spot!
Not a good experience with the quality of food. The food was too dry and hard to eat. Sadly we had to throw our food out.
$2.50 for a pop is robbery. Pure and simple. I ordered the Koobeede Kabob Plate since I love Persian food. Ive never seen such small Kabobs in my entire life, not the mention the stale and hard rice underneath. The Hummus was basically chickpea paste. For that price, it simply wasnt worth it. Its possible I had high hopes for this place, though I surely wont be going back.
Its hard to find good quality kabob in surrey when youve eaten in North Vancouver. Lol, but King Kabob is on my list of best halal restaurants in surrey
Was good , less kebab, eat rice with salad. Maybe thats how kings eat. I forgotten my lassi bottle there which wasnt even open. But their food is good
Got the golden chicken takeout box - waited nearly 30 mins and paid $16 for a very small portion. Simply not worth it, wont be going back
My husband introduced me to this lovely restaurant as he and his father often pick up King Kabob for lunch during work, best Persian food around! We drive in from Langley to support this small business with amazing food!
Never disappoints. Meat is always so tender and flavorful. I wish wish they keep the meat warmer for take outs. By the time I get the take out, the temperature is usually a bit colder than my liking. That would be the only complaint.
I live in Vancouver, I prefer 30 min drive to eat here than any Persian restaurant near my location. Really delicious and high quality.
Highly recommended. Perfect taste and high quality.
all right
They used to be good when they started open, unfortunately not anymore, the kabab getting thinner and thinner and dry
One of the decent middle eastern restaurant in Fraser valley! Their lamb shank is the best I ve had in the Fraser valley and the rice with kababs are delicious! The ambience gives an authentic touch to this place!
Terrible kebab
Graet food
Not sure if it is due to covid, but they serve in a plastic take out box and cup while dining in. Each kabob skewish is half the size of what is advertised on the picture. Not worth the money and revisiting. The signature dish with three small skewish is $40 including tips. The quality of food is similar to what youd get in a food court while the price is twice as expensive as Daddys Grill in Richmond where the food is tremendously better while the portion is also twice as much
Very Nice food, tried their beef Kabab with rice, staff is also amazing, met the owner great guy experienced guy. Will definitely go back, its a Halal restaurant means everyone can eat their.
Loved it. Food was extraordinary. Customer service was too good. Owner knows what he is doing. Must visit this place
By far the best kabob resteruant so far! Fresh ingredients, fast friendly service and decent pricing. The wings are my favorite. I definitely will be going back.
Was hoping for better, but unfortunately the food was a consistent meh. Food was barely warm after the 10 min drive home, so we microwaved each plate. Flavors werent bad, but also not incredible. Wont try again
Love this place!
Bit pricey but very tasty and celiac-safe gluten free on most dishes.
Dietary restrictions: Halal restaurant certified by HIC
Taste is ok. Portion size of food is very small.
Very tasty food, friendly people and very clean Very tasty but I felt the quantity of food has gone down!
Their food was so delicious! Meat was all freshly cooked and very juicy. Rice was really good too, nice flavour. Would definitely go again!
They still dont have plates for dine in and serve in takeout boxes which is just an insult. Also the quantity is very less for the price.
Its good but could be better. The kabob options were good But the menu could use a western variety touch. Food was served on plastic for some reason. For our water we got these red beer pong (like in the movies) cups. Which was silly. I mean whats the objective behind that? What a waste of plastic. Its not like that many people were there. Why couldnt they use regular plates and a glass. It didnt make sense. As soon as we walked in they did tell us and it almost sounded like they were discouraging us from dining in. Im not sure. The chicken wings were amazing. The sub was pretty basic. Too much onions for my liking. Pricing isnt too bad. Staff were nice and respectful. I dont think Id be a regular but Id try them again sometime in the future for sure.
The koobideh is unforgettable
Portion of food too small. Not enough meat
Love this place
Great tasting koobideh kabob. Will definitely be my go to spot for kabob in Abbotsford!
Plastic dishes. Red soli cups for water. Salad (ordered in) served in takeout containers? You can see where theyre trying to cut corners. The food itself is... bland. Theres not a lot of flavor to it, and it mostly tastes the same. I had to COVID test to make sure I wasnt losing my sense of taste. The only thing with flavor was the rice? Also, crazy expensive for what you actually get! Judging by the reviews, this restaurant use to be a lot better? Theres no way everyone else had this type of experience. Vegetarian options: I mean, they have rice? Parking: Ample parking Kid-friendliness: My four kids would have starved here lol
Very tasty Persian food. I ordered the kubideh - I found the kabob tasty, juicy and delicious.
Basically a plate full of rice and small piece of meat. If you are hungry, save yourself a trip to this place and go to a regular donair. Cheaper and tastes better. First and last time.
So delicious. I had the spicy chicken and koobide. Everything was fresh and tasty. Will definetly be back soon.
Great kebabs & rice. Only thing is I wish they didn t use store bought pita bread. It would be awesome if they made their own.
Vere clean and the food is vere delisious
Omg!! The best kabob in Fraser Valley and Abbotsford. very tasty and fresh. Generous portions full of rice, kabobs, grilled tomato and side hummus that also comes with a full salad portion. Btw you have options to get garden or ceasar salad with your food. Really impressive.
I love this place more people need to know ware its hiding cause the potential highly-rated to eat here
Delicious food and such beautiful presentation. We will definitely eat here again!
Incredible food! I was not expecting this quality. Honestly I thought it was no different from a food court.
Very Clean Restaurant. The food is delicious.
The food was excellent!! Very flavorful. Will definitely be ordering again soon.
Service is wonderful though I find that the prices are expensive especially if you order a lamb shishlik that only has 4-5 lamb rack pieces at $35. The size of the lamb pieces fluctuate. The portions are average as well. The place has a nice ambience overall and the food is healthy.
Highly recommend to everyone to try their royal kabab and shishlik, so yummy and tasty. I have tried other Persian restaurant in Denman street and also marine drive but I have never seen such delicious kabab anywhere.
Unbeatable kabobs
The price is like Resturant, but the quality was like fast food on the mall . We bought Royal mix kebab , everything from rice to kobideh and joje quality were poor like fast food . I hope management make some plane . I wonder how give stars review around 4 ?
Upont entering the restaurant, I was surprised by how neat and clean the place was, not regular clean, shiny shiny clean! And that was not all... As a Persian girl with have high standards for Persian food, I loved my lunch here! We ordered King s Platter for 2, wonderful in quantity , quantity and price. Tasty Koobideh, delicious chicken and juicy lamb shank, finished with yummy rice and outstanding dolmas. Highly recommended especially to Albertans visiting Vancouver that want to stop for food before continuing to downtown.
Worst persian restaurant in vancouver. Very thin slices of meat, and very expensive. If you like persian food and theres no other option the food here is technically edible and the owner is nice but North Vancouver is really the place to go. Yaas is good, mehmaan had the best kubideh, apparently zeitoon is halal and the food is comparable to yaas but i dont frequent establishments that serves alcohol so i am going by word of mouth. But yeah not only is the food not great but very small portions.its like kabob for ants
Excellent food and service!
One of the best kabob place in Abbotsford! The portion of food, taste and service everything was amazing!
Such a ripp off!! Paid lots of money for such little foods that didnt even taste that good, why so much salt in the kebabs??! I have never seen a middle eastern restaurant in North America with so little portions, and bad presentations too!! First and last time to order from there. I will certainly wait to go to the city for kebabs!! Wont need a middle eastern restaurant this greedy just because it is in Abbotsford, there are alot of good ones around metro Van Oh, FYI, if you still wanna waste your money, kids meal wont fill up a kid older than 3 yrs old. You might wanna order two for an older kid
Love their service Very clean place Sitting Area clean Mouth watering food , Portion was great ,Price is reasonable Meat was Amazing, juicy
Food is good but too expensive. The owner serve us a dish of $19.95 but charged us $24.95. The price charged is way higher than quality.
Awesome taste, Nice Customer Service. Clean Place. Try their Lamb Shank.
Food was delicious and staff are friendly. Will definitely come back next time we are in the area.
The food is so good, I highly recommend it.
The amount of kebob we got is like one third of what we get in North Vancouver kebob restaurants. The taste is just ok, nothing to talk about. If you want to have a full meal, you need to spend like a king. This is a big rip off. We are never going back there. Only thing good here was the cleanliness.
Will absolutely never ever order food from here again. Ever. To the chef Spicy does not mean just ad more cayenne pepper Not worth it at all.
Came on a trip from Ontario and we re very disappointed. The food was good, but that s where the positives ends. Insanely expensive for the quantity. The food was super thin and I left half hungry. Wouldn t recommend it if you want a full meal or want to go out with family for dinner.
Always closed! A restaurant that closes two days a week. Limited hrs. Bankers hrs
I have to start with the so called baklava. Its essentially RAW dow wrapped in sugar syrup. Otherwise Food was Average. A bit overpriced for the quantities. The lamb shank was good. Beef Kebab and chicken were so-so. All in all, food is OK. Just stay clear.of the so called Baklava.
Delicious food! Yummy meat! Everything is fresh and served nicely! We will be back for sure!
Food is tasty but quantity is not enough
Amazing food!
Food is very expensive. Not very yummy in taste. Kabab was so thin layered. Customer Service and cleaning was ok.
Expensive and quantity is not worth the price.
Kobida(2 beef kabob+rice+salad) was little ¬ delicious
It was delicious. Not outstanding but you will be satisficed.
Good food.
Great service and fantastic food.
Perfect food and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.
This small joint is located in a strip mall beside TD Bank in abbottsford. The food was delicious but extremely overpriced and very small in portion. Its price beats the price of any high-end restaurant. The owner was not at all friendly and cooperative. He didnt even bother to greet us as we walked into the restaurant. We did called him prior to our arrival and when asked him to set up a table for 10 people he was visibly angry and refused to accommodate us saying he needed extra time to do that and cannot set out tables together. So, we had to split in groups in order to have our lunch as we were all very hungry and it was the only halal option we had.
We came from Ontario and found this restaurant by chance. Amazing food and great presentation. The portions look small but they fill you up. Cute setup and vintage lightd. Overall, a great experience!
Went to King Kabob for the first time today and was very impressed with the quality of the food, serving size, presentation and friendliness of the staff. Looking forward to going back
Food is really nice. Service was good too. Would recommend and be back for more
Gross. Ordered family platter, barely edidable.
Best Lamb Shank in Town.
I used to be their customer for long time but last few times the meat was Very bad it s Exported from out of Canada. That what owner said. The most bad thing they come back and forth ask about the food and if you say not good they do nothing. hhhh Don t ask man than!!!
Very disappointing, just a rip off.we order a king size kabob combo for 2 person we paid almost $50 plus soda was extra not included with the COMBO.We expected something big but it wasnt really enough for 2 of us. Other Kabob shops gives tons of quantity even cheaper price. Also the food was terrible and I asked for ginger ale but they gave me diet cola(the restaurant was not even busy) , 2 pita bread was included but it was so tiny I dont know why he bother putting it in. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone at the moment. I hope they will improve in the future.
Nice food, courteous staff and management. Enjoyed eating here. Their rates are competitive.
Delicious food
Good taste, but kebab skewers was too small like kids meal.
Looses 2 stars for the bread served with humous and yogurt didnt have much flavor and the bread was cold. the portions of kabab was very small but delicious.
The amount of food does not affect the price at all. Miniature skewers and chicken are very artistic extremely overpriced and very small in portion.
Its delicious
It is a rip-off. Food is overpriced compared to the tiny portion. The man working there deceived me and charged me for salad which I did not ask for - he told me Kubeida comes with rice and salad and when I went to pay and wondered why the bill is overpriced he told me because you took salad. He should be frank rather than overcharging customers. TINY PORTIONS - Do not go.
I ordered 3 chicken kabab , too expensive, very bad taste , quantity like one kabab , money wastage
Honestly I dont know where to begin... This was my favourite Persian restaurant in the entire province and would regularly take my friends here (and of course pay for their meals). I was a regular at this restaurant from the day they opened. Ive tried probably every Koobide Kabob in the Lower Mainland, and this place just stood out from the beginning. That being said, over the course of the last 12-18 months the food portions, quality and service progressively went down; to the point where I dont feel comfortable taking my relatives here anymore. My biggest issue is that their Kabob is almost 50% as dense as it was prior, and there is also a notable difference in the thickness of the chicken and the overall portion size. In addition to this, the owner comes off a bit rude at times. I have a passion for eating quality Persian food with a rich amount of sumac as it adds for more flavour that I desperately seek for in my meals, however that privilege was taken away from me as when I ask for sumac, they only sprinkle enough for my 6 month toddler to eat, and I cant help myself. All in all, this restaurant has the potential to be one of the best Persian restaurants in all of Canada (not an exaggeration), however they neglect their loyal customers recommendations just to seek slightly higher profit margins which is extremely disappointing. I would be comfortable with them raising the prices of the foods since money of course is not an issue here (I pay for all of my friends meals), but instead they take a route which leaves regulars like myself very disappointed. Below Ive added a detailed photo of one of the first meals I had here, and you can compare that to some of the recent reviews. Pay extra attention to the generous amount of sumac that i myself added (they used to leave it on the tables) as well as the thickness of the meat in my favourite mixed Kabob meal. I hope this message reaches someone in management because I havent seen anyone leave such a detailed review. Im leaving 3 stars for a restaurant that deserved nothing but 5 stars back in 2019 :/
It was good food, nice workers, pleasure full night out
One of the little girls in Africa, I took a picture of her in the village the company built.
Unfriendly and unwelcoming... Food was good but over priced for 1 kabob and lots of rice with small slicee of veg... No pita, Disappointed.
its so good
Staff not warm , even that the restaurant resumed serving in ordinary plates , still serving in disposal boxes ! The meal not really delicious .
Yes its good I enjoyed it
Excellent food service, gives you the taste of typical middle eastern and Persian, with variety of choice menu available and very reasonable pricing.
My first time in this restaurant with my family. The the food was good, but these guys are so cheap no bread little bit of rice and the kabob so the chicken so little you need to order 2 dishes in order to feel you are full. Very disappointed I and my family end up buying pizza as well as we were still hungry when we came out of the restaurant.
Ki ng Of Kabobs
Always been my favourite!! Service and food are always great..
