The Aroma Bistro in Abbotsford

My second time eating at Aroma Bistro. Large menu selection in addition to Indian food. Prices very reasonable, even more so with their specials. Large portions with beautiful presentation. Our server Arsh was very efficient and personable, checking on us from time to time to make sure everything was OK and if there was anything else we needed. It was a friend s birthday which Arsh acknowledged with a special treat. Excellent customer service, very reasonable prices and lots of free parking.

I loved the food and a big thanks to Christina for being the best server.

On a Friday afternoon, at 430pm, group of 6 went for one cocktail before heading to a party. There were two servers who also made their own drinks. (No bartender). It took 35 min to get 6 drinks. (We were one of two tables in the bar. It was completely dead) 2 were glasses of wine that came in dirty glasses. The soda served with one was flat. And the server had no idea how to make a whiskey sour or aperal spritz. The servers are clearly untrained at making drinks and should not be. The cocktails were disgusting and we couldn t drink them. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Tried Aroma today for lunch, and everything about it was amazing! Our server Jules was so sweet and accommodating, Melissa was the other girl working and also kept checking in on us, the service was fantastic! Best we have had in a long time going to eat in Abbotsford. The food was also very Delish and a great price! $17.99 for any burger, beer and fries. The restaurant was clean and decorated beautifully for Christmas. Not one complaint. We will definitely be back again soon

Yesterday was the first time we went. Wont be the last! Our server, Melissa was friendly and funny! All our meals were delicious! The decor is so beautiful with just the right amount of lighting. Great music! Best part, their prices are very affordable! Cant say enough. Thank you for a great time!

Jewels is an amazing server with attention to detail. I had a steak with rice and vegetables and the presentation was amazing with beautiful white rice dark red beats orange carrots, and parsley made for an amazing display of color. Food was awesome Food

Very good! There was 14 of us for lunch and our table was set beautifully . There s a lot to choose from so there s something for everyone. We had a lot of different dishes and everything was well presented and they make awesome drinks! The servers are very good , there was no standing around chatting there ! Their prices are good also . Really too much to share about our poor experience . We waited over 15 minutes before someone greeted us at our table, our food took 1.5 hours before we received one third of what we ordered. When we asked about the rest of what we had ordered we were assured it was on the way. We waited another 30 minutes before deciding to leave without the rest of our food. After waiting a total of 2 hours and only receiving a portion of what we had ordered, we were all very disappointed and unimpressed. I will likely not be returning

Food was fast, started with the calamari, had a 120z ribeye with the vegetables was cooked just right - medium rare, fiancé had the teriyaki bowl, which she said was delicious. Arsh our server was very good and on the ball. I would recommend them, may even try the sunday brunch!

Omg, The food tasted so delicious there and its one of a kind restaurant where you can find full indian menu and full English menu with lot of vegetarian options to choose from. Being vegetarian myself we sometimes find it very hard to find good food choices in English menu. But here we had lot of options to choose from and food was so so delicious. Christina was a great server, hot wings were fire

My coworker and I came in looking for club Havana, and were informed upon arrival that they were under new ownership, and renamed Aroma Bar and Bistro. Christina took exceptional care of us, dropping of our second round of beers right as we were finishing our last sips of the first. Exceptional timing. We also got buffalo wings and yam fries. The wings were the perfect amount of crisp, flavour and spice. Paired with an overflowing ranch dip and a fair amount of carrots, celery and garden salad to garnish. The yam fries were more than plentiful, and the chipotle dip they came with was so rich in flavour, it nearly left me in tears. My only constructive criticism is as follows. The wall on the far side of the bar (opposite of the pool table) had way too much going on. Weird lines and colours. Should definitely be repainted. Otherwise exceptional experience!! Would recommend.

My wife and I recently had the vegetarian thali and it was fantastic... and very reasonably priced. The surroundings are comfortable and cozy and the staff are patient, attentive and super friendly. It is obvious that a lot of effort has gone into making this restaurant something special and it deserves to be successful. We will certainly be regular customers.

Went for the brunch buffet. All the food was gone, buffet totally empty. Over the next hour only a few dishes finally came out. Some of the food was cold. Juice was all room temperature. When there was some food ready there were no clean plates to be had. Then a kitchen staff came out with French toast and proceeded to use his bare hands to load the French toast into the tray. Needless to say the new ownership seems to have many issues and we will not be back anytime soon.

My husband and I went to the Aroma bistro for some drinks and appetizers. We must say that we were pleasantly surprised with how open and social the waitress Arsh was, along with all the other staff members. She shared with us some personal stories of herself, and allow us to share some stories too! Their appetizers were outstanding, from the presentation to their delicious taste.The drinks were a work of art themselves. I had the red sangria. It had wonderful music playing. that I felt like the desire/ comfort zone to get up and dance. Arsh even shared a small dance with me. We cannot brag enough how this evening brought smiles to our faces and memories to our hearts, thank you Aroma Bistro staff/ Arsh. Gord and Eileen

We have been regulars at this restaurant through all of the management changes and recent complete relaunch of name and menu! All of the servers are so kind, prompt and accommodating. They take the time to remember our favourites, know our names and always make sure we are taken care of! We love to come anytime of the day for coffee and to play pool! All of the new menu items have been so delicious! I personally love the coconut prawns and the chilli-chicken is soooo good. We have been trying many of the new Indian & Indo-Chinese dishes and have not been disappointed! Compliments to all the chefs in the kitchen! Great prices, free billiards and really chill atmosphere with good music that changes often! We really enjoy hanging out here when we just want to get out of the house for a couple hours and support local business! Thank you to all the staff for all your consistent service and kindness!

This was my second dine in experience and can not say I was disappointed. My time spent at Aroma was pleasant from start to finish. With many options to chose from on the menu, tasteful decor, ambience and charming staff who were always on point, social and welcoming. Aroma will not leave you wanting. Go on in and find out for yourself.

First time eating here and unfortunately, will probably be the last. I want to give a major shoutout to our waitress (I believe her name was Christine if I m remembering correctly? She was the one waitress that night with glasses) and she made the night so pleasant! She was so kind and attentive and was a genuinely lovely person. Our food, however, was not so lovely. We ordered the linguine and the octopus. The linguine was heavily over-peppered and the octopus came out just barely lukewarm and was cold after a few bites. It was also very dry as there was only a tiny bit of sauce on the plate and the octopus was very overcooked. They also had a photographer/videographer at one of the tables in the middle with very bright lights which was a bit of a mood kill. I do understand the need to get content, but I think during a weekday (and not on a Friday night) or before or after hours would have been a bit more appropriate to not have bright studio lights shining in people s faces. Overall, there is definitely potential for this restaurant but it needs some work.

They said they want all the feedback they can get since the menu just came out, Overall it tasted good. Was freezing in there tonight but they said they were turning the heat up which helped a little. Their pool table that they got is an awesome activity that they got.

We came in not realizing they were having there soft opening for friends and family and were instantly greeted and seated. The owners were an absolute delight and were so attentive and amazing. Between the bartender Jessica and our waitress Melissa who were killing it at there jobs on a very busy night we ended up coming back the following night because everyone here was so awesome. Great drinks, great vibes, great music, and the ambiance was on point. Cheers, cant wait to visit again soon!

I ordered the Linguini Alla Serena and the Rigatoni All Amatriciana for delivery through Uber eats. Both times the pasta tasted absolutely gross and disgusting. I dont understand why they charge $24 for undercooked pasta which was poorly seasoned, the sauce was super thin at the bottom of the container. The pasta tasted bland with some pepper on top. The chicken tasted almost freezer burnt. Overall extremely disappointing taste. I wouldnt even pay $5 for the quality of food. I dont know how they have such high reviews.

Yeah went there today. Big sign outside brunch all you can eat $20. They open door after waiting. Then tell us they are not serving brunch today, and no manager on site to talk to. Dont suggest this.

We got in today at around 5.45.pm. waited a few minute to find someone to sit us. Had to walk into the restaurant, waited a couple more minute before a staff showed up, she told us to sit anywhere, fine we waited another 15 minute and still no one came to give us a menu or to take our order. 1 staff for a whole restaurant who had what looks like a large birthday party schedule that evening. Maybe 3 tables in the restaurant busy, it looked like everyone was also waiting for service, a couple people waiting at the bar. We lost our patience and walkout and went to Denny across parking lot. Where it took 2 minute to get a menu and service. What a difference. Never again at club Havana. Why have a business if you can not manage it properly. Another bankruptcy is coming to the statistics. Sad

Great atmosphere, not great food. You can enjoy a conversation due to the great layout of the tables and privacy but the food was a complete disappointment. The linguini pasta I ordered came in a very liquid sauce. More like spaghetti in soup! My husband ordered salmon, one of the most expensive meal option besides stake and it was literally a 2 x4 piece of thin salmon on top of a small scoop of rice you could hardly see below,(A toddler could ve eaten twice as much as that) for $35?! Our friend who ordered a ribeye stake, got a small pre-sliced piece of meat with a minuscular and very limp resemblance of 3 pieces of broccolini on the side and a few overcooked mushrooms. He was too kind to comment. I don t usually leave poor reviews but after this experience at such high ticket prices, I am not going to be silent :( note: this restaurant absorbed all the previously positive reviews that the previous owner under the name Restaurant R had received. Including my positive +++ one! This gave me one more reason to edit my past review in exchange for this one. Don t plan on going back.

Racist staff especially in kitchen

Food was great, service was poor though. Only 2 tables had guests, and there was 2 people at the bar and the waitress was just walking around not paying attention. We waited 15 minutes to pay, and at the end went up to grab her. For being so empty, did not expect the service.

Drinks were pretty and tasted good, food was pretty good. The Margherita pizza has cheddar on it, and it threw me off. I was not a fan. The tacos were great, and the fries are good. Service was a touch slow, but the people are nice. Overall j enjoyed my experience albeit a touch more expensive than I expected. Id return

I can t say enough good about this gem of a restaurant! My husband and I are in town for a work trip and we stay at the hotel next to this place. We went for dinner last night and wow, we were treated like stars! Our waiter was fantastic and the food was amazing! You re missing out if you haven t tried this wonderful place yet. Prices are good too! We are going back tonight, our last night in town, and will be back next time we are in town! Oh, drinks were fabulous too!! I d give it 10 stars if I could!!

We had the absolute best waiter tonight! V provided a wonderful dinning experience and friendly banter. I ordered the pizza and was pleasantly surprised by the large size and heaping of toppings. The sticky toffee pudding was the cherry on top. Warm, delicious, and smooth, it was the best way to end a meal!

Our group had a wonderful experience at Club Havana! The service was appropriately fast, the food was AMAZING, and the atmosphere suited a laid back and enjoyable business dinner. Highly recommend the Moscow mule, the curry, and the sticky toffee pie.

Unfortunately, this order was disappointing. I ordered a Tuna Poke Bowl without onions, but it arrived with onions, despite my clear instructions. The rice was undercooked, and the tuna was not fresh and chewy. It feels like no one paid attention to my request, which is especially frustrating since I cannot consume onions for health reasons

Terrible experience. Dinner might be better but do not go here for brunch, you are better off crossing the parking lot and going to Denny s. They will put an hour and fifteen minute time limit on your table even if the restaurant is half empty. The food in the trays were all half empty when we got up to the buffet queue and are not heated (there s no hot plates or anything to keep the food sitting out warm) and everything is cold. The crepes at the crepe station are not fresh and look like they are just slapped together and the bacon had a rancid taste and smell. This was the experience we had a couple of weekends ago and we were quite disappointed as the advertising was nothing like what we experienced and we were looking forward to a new good brunch spot in town.

Club Havana is a very odd venue. It boasts an interesting menu and a varied drink menu. I ordered a sad and ice heavy, barely minted mojito. My companion ordered a Bellini and received a margarita. My wife enjoyed two draft beers. The plates had large helpings. I was a bit disappointed with the steak tartare. It has sad flavor and presentation. The caesar salad look-a-like was large and pretty decent, albeit slightly over dressed. It was clear a DJ was going to be hosting later that night and the staff occasionally kept turning up the volume to a level that reflected a night club setting even though it was not yet 7 pm. We were having dinner with a 4 year old. Service was slow and our server was kind. I dont know why this place has a full menu and is open before 8pm but to watch a game at the bar. There is no need for the dining room. There is a kids menu while it felt entirely like a night club. The female staff wore very skimpy attire and the male staff as though they were clubbing. I understand that at 10 pm but not at 7. Maybe we were out of place, but dont offer a kids menu if there so no place for kids, or people who want to enjoy conversation over dinner, but have to ask you to turn down the volume. We wont be back.

We went for the weekend brunch buffet and it didnt disappoint. It was our first time being there. The food was hot, fresh and so delicious. Our waitress was so attentive and made us feel welcomed as soon as we went in. It was busy due to a group function but everything worked out smoothly getting food and drinks. We will definitely go back and tell our family and friends about this place. Will go back during a regular day to try their menu out.

I went there for my birthday dinner. I ordered a bacon pasta of sorts and it was quite delicious. Other people in my party had mixed reviews on their food but I was very satisfied with my food. They offered complementary nuts to tye us over until we received our main dish which I found quite thoughtful. I ordered a type of beer but the tap for it wasnt working, so they brought out a sampler of an alternative beer to see if I would like it or not which I found quite thoughtful as well very nice. The appetizer I received was very tasty as well. My biggest complaint hence the 3 stars was how long I had to wait for stuff. Idk if they were short staff at the time (if they were its rough Ive been there), but a should be hour and a half dinner was a 3 hour dinner instead. They did give me a complementary free desert, Ive never had crembrule and they spent time buring sugar with a torch to make it look super fancy. It surprised me a lot and was very thoughtful. Sometimes the best restaurant can have slow service so I will give this place another try and you should too as theres plenty to like about it.

A very refreshing restaurant experience in Abbotsford. Food was delicious and well presented and the staff were very kind and welcoming. Jasica was our server. Super sweet and treated us well! Will be back for sure!

Update: unfortunately, I have to update this review. Second visit was awful. Brunch food was so cold and stale that you couldnt cut it with a knife. Selection is extremely limited and service is non-existent. We couldnt even find someone to seat us.

I visited The Club Havana yesterday afternoon and the atmosphere of the place was pleasant. The food was really good , I ordered the chicken Tikka roll and it was delicious. Unfortunately, the service did not meet my expectations, the bartenders service was disappointing. Her carefree attitude and lack of interest in providing attentive service negatively impacted my experience. Its a shame that the staff does not reflect the quality that this establishment promises. I hope this comment helps to improve customer service in the future.

Had the pleasure to visit this gem while travelling the area. Great menu and beautifully garnished drinks. One of The best hosts i think her name was shubh, super friendly and great service times. My friends and myself enjoyed the quick visit to this place and definitely be going back when in the area again.

Went for Fathers Day brunch.. no one ate their food except the 1 child who had pancakes. Bacon was so very salty that no one at our table ate it..who leaves bacon??? Well, we sadly did and I am talking 4 body building football players not picky eaters. Eggs were cold and dry, sausages were so very dry that no one ate them. You could see from all the food left on our plates that we couldnt eat it. Went to get orange juice 3x but empty. Sadly after spending $191. with tip, we came home and ate. Nice atmosphere and lovely friendly staff.

We ve been here 4 times, and everyone is very attentive, the food is good, dependable and priced well. Cocktails are amazing with beautiful garnishes like fresh flowers and herbs and fruit. Abby, the manager always checks in to see how we re doing. Jason is an impeccable bar tender and we couldn t ask for better service that we got tonight from Anna while watching the Canucks game. My husband and inwere blown away by this amazing restaurant! We honestly thought we were coming for Greek food from a friends recommendation. Once we arrived the atmosphere is unique and entrancing. The servers were fantastic, especially Ana who was warm, friendly and helpful with food recommendations. I had the paella and my husband the striplion with mushrooms. Decadent and the plating was lovely. Omg you need to try the Creme Brule! Your mouth will thank you forever. Thank you Club Havana for a wonderful experience

I have club Havana on Instagram and been wanting to check it out. It wasnt very busy for a saturday night but it should! Such a great place. We got bottles just because the drinks are a little on the higher end. But I will 100% be back. Loved the food and service.

We came back for brunch the following afternoon and I recommend it. I wish I had gotten some pictures but it was very busy and I didnt want to infringe on anyones privacy. Server was kind but not the best as she was quite forgetful, however it was busy so it s understandable. We ordered 4 mimosas and ended up with 5 and then it took about 15-20 mins to get my mum s coffee. Atmosphere was ok, it s cute but the light fixture we were under was broken and hanging, when we told our server she brought the manager to show him and he said oh it s still like that? Like if he was aware why had nothing been done. Food was decent the bacon was overly salted but overall meh, don t think I ll return.
