A decent sushi restaurant

I ordered the seafood ramen. Lots of noodles but not much seafood and the broth was lacking flavor. Definitely had better ramen elsewhere. Ill probably go back, just wont order ramen.

Beware ! I went for lunch with my husband and when I went to pay with card at the front they automatically included a 20% tip and passed me the machine.. I was talking to my Husband and not paying attention (I guess I am partially to blame for this) and tapped and then after I realized I said what was the amount ? It was different than the bill we got and he showed me the debit receipt that had the tip included. I just said and left . Won t be back ! That just isn t right

Great value and services!

So pleased to have found this high quality restaurant. We ordered the Volcano roll, tuna sashimi, assorted tempura and Toro nigiri. The fish was so fresh and good, and the presentation was lovely. We drove for an hour from Bellingham WA and it was so worth the time and easy travel east from Lynden. We will be back!

Hana Sushi is a great place to eat. Big variety of Japanese and Korean dishes. Fantastic service, and the food quality is amazing.

Horrible customer service. Ordering on the phone was difficult and the menu linked to this Google page is inaccurate. Everything is at least $5 more expensive when you pick up. I addressed this with the guy at the till, that he should update his Google business page because many people look at the prices on there. He said they probably won t update it and that the owner doesn t care because he has many businesses. If the owner is reading this, I hope this isn t true and just a miscommunication or lack of training. I won t be coming back.

Best atmosphere that Ive experienced at a sushi restaurant

I have enjoyed everything I have tried on the menu. The downside is they are pricier than some other places, but in this case the bit of extra $$ is worth the taste. Good fresh tasty food.

Fair prices and good quality sushi! Restaurant is pretty modern too! I would come here again. 5 Rolls, 2 Miso Soups and a Beer for about $60

It was my first time going, and the service was good, the atmosphere was good, and the food was really delicious. My husband and I had a very delicious full course meal~!! I have to go again next time to try other menus~ haha I highly recommend it to those who want a luxurious meal with good taste and atmosphere!

Handmade gyoza, they separate the udon noodles/beef with the soup! First time I have EVER had takeout udon where they separate it so everything stays fresh. Amazing service. Will be back at least to takeout.

I love sushi and always order sockeye spicey roll and sockeye nigiri at every establishment I go to. Hannahs sushi has never got it right even when I reiterate it has to be sockeye and not farmed. The first visit after I ordered sockeye salmon the waitress brought me farmed spicey salmon an Alaska roll (which I never ordered) and two farmed salmon nigiri. I was in a bit of a rush and trying to be understanding I told her to take back the farmed salmon but I would eat and pay for the Alaska roll even though I never ordered it. When I was done and ready to leave she tried charging me with the other orders. I was fine to pay for the Alaska roll that I never ordered. I refused to pay for a wrong order and for something I never even ate! She blamed me and said I was in the wrong and I never said sockeye. Months later I went back because it is the closest sushi place to me when I am in Abbotsford and I thought I would give them another chance. They have screwed up my order every time! No matter how much I emphasize I want sockeye salmon and they make me feel bad for their f__k up! I was sick for 4 days after the last time I ate there. I have found another sushi place that is close by as well and is amazing if you know the area. I gave the Hannah sushi restaurant several chances and they have not delivered and made me sick the last time I went.I will never go back.

Lovely sushi restaurant ever! Decorations of hanasushi are so cute and beautiful particularly the tree in the restaurant is so pretty Surely their service is so good. If you go there u can see smile man who is kind sever. U can enjoy fresh sushi and many delicious Korean style hot food. strongly recommend this restaurant!!

Always treated well here. The Tuna Volcano is one of the best things ive ever eaten and all of the rolls are huge. I won the lottery and they gave me the extra roll (the top one). Its hard to stand out as a sushi shop but I think their seafood sauce and spicy sauce is the best in town. Parking: lots of parking in the mall

It was so delicious~ The atmosphere was cozy and I was able to eat comfortably. Hoedeopbap, house rolls, chicken, and stone pot bibimbap Geisha Lab was the best to see and eat!!

Good Sushi, I am a sushi fan , I have my favorite places in Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond. This little place serves excellent sushi, Sashimi, Nigiri, sea weed salad ...all fresh and best of quality. I went twice in a row with my daughter. Breakfast and dinner. Please try it , you will totally be on my side. Take my word please.

I stopped by with my kids while driving into Abbotsford to charge my Tesla while taking Highway 1. I was satisfied because the food was delicious, the service was great, and the prices were reasonable. I plan to stop by next time I pass by.

No long words needed. JUST EAT HERE. Had a very good dinner with my friends at this place. I liked the cherry blossom tree in the middle of the restaurant :)

You know its a great day when you find your new sushi local. Have been driving past this place for two years and just realizing now what Ive been missing. Huge portions and the food is spectacular!

My girlfriend ordered a meal from this place yesterday, she was very clear and left no room for confusion when she said she was very allergic to sesame seeds. As she was eating her meal, she noticed her throat starting to tingle and we found sesame seeds MIXED IN with the rice and covered in sauce so they weren t easily visible. She ended up having to go to the hospital. Do not order from here if you have an allergy, and considering how terrible my chicken teriyaki was, just don t order at all.

The food was good, but not spectacular. Great value for lunch specials and things of the sort though. Nice bang for your buck.

Great restaurant with awesome special rolls. The Red Dragon Roll (picture below) is my absolute favourite and the Midori roll is a close second.

They can t get their orders right. They didn t send half of what I ordered. The first time it happened I wrote it off as an honest mistake. It happened a second time and they just laughed about it like it s no big deal.

Stopped in for lunch while my car was over at the automall. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the price was fair. I ended up staying an extra 45 minutes waiting on the call and constantly got tea and water. Wonderful experience, thank you

Amazing food and awesome service. This has been our go-to Japanese restaurant since we moved to Abbotsford last year. It was great before the new owners took over. Now it is fantastic. The food is always super fresh and delicious and the attention to detail makes each meal a delight. Beautiful presentation- I would give more than five stars if I could. Highly recommend. Very underwhelming. Rice was over cooked and mushy. Sushi was so bland. Not even soy sauce could save it. We found hair in our yaki soba so can t say if it was good or not but the noodles were globed into one big ball. It looked unappealing. Teriyaki was decent but greaser than I would have liked.

I like sushi, so Ive been to many places, but nowhere is as delicious as this place. The sushi deco is a work of art and the taste is good too. The staff are also friendly, I highly recommend it, you won t regret it.

Nice place to eat

NOT CELIAC FRIENDLY. Both staff and owner are unaware of what gluten free actually means.This was one of my favourite restaurants, and if you have celiac disease, you know how tough it is to find a spot that really understands your concerns about gluten. They have friendly staff, and the rolls were tasty, however, I cant overlook a basic health concern that all restaurants should be considering. Im super disappointed by this local spot that would have been a family favourite for years to come. When you eat here, do not trust the separate gluten free menu as advertised. You will get sick. I have been eating here frequently over the past 5 months. Each time Ive ordered, I have clearly stated that I have celiac disease/gluten allergy. I have made this clear to both the server when Ive dined in, and when Ive ordered through door dash. I order the same rolls, and to my surprise today, when I ordered my regular, the roll was without sauce. When I called to inquire why there was no sauce on my roll, they said that it had gluten in it, so they left it off. Now over the past several times eating here, I had felt a little off, but chalked it up to something else, since I was assured several times, that the food I was consuming within their restaurant was gluten free. Knowingly, and without attention to detail, the restaurant has been serving me gluten over the past 5 months. When I called and spoke to the owner today, he disregarded my concern, and stated that there was only a little bit of gluten in their sauces, and all of their gluten free customers had never had a problem. Its unfortunate, but I wont be coming to this restaurant anymore, and wont be recommending it to my friends in the celiac community. I hope they will make a change for future customers with dietary concerns.

cannot recommend this place enough! the sushi is great and affordable, and it never takes long for takeout or dining in. ALSO i locked my keys in my car at night in the cold after they closed and two of them asked if i needed assistance. one of them even helped me and my grandpa while we worked to unlock the car! he offered hot tea for us and helped so we were able to get the door unlocked! great people, great food, and great service! highly recommend!

So accommodating. I wanted my rolls without seaweed paper and they did it without hesitation. The rolls were large, well rolled and delicious. Nice customer service. Sorry but before I took the pics I had already eaten two pieces. Delicious, I couldnt wait! And the freshness and quality...top notch!! And a bonus for those of us who have environmental concerns...the box is biodegradable!

Im sure Ive eaten here a couple years ago and it wasnt so terrible, else I wouldnt have returned. But I wont be going back after this time. The $10 Ebi Mayo was 4 pieces of the smallest overcooked shrimp you ever dug through a mound of lettuce to find (?). The prawn tempura can only be described as impotent, it was that mushy. And the chicken teriyaki I think was gristle cooked in shake and bake and then drowned in soya sauce. The California roll was the only edible thing I bought. Next time Ill drive a little bit further and buy something edible.

We have been customers of Hana Sushi for years and were assured that the menu recipes would remain unchanged when Hester sold the restaurant. We were therefore disappointed in some of the changes made recently, with the prawn goma sauce being so spicy it was inedible. This was a favorite of my daughter s since it is gluten free - she is celiac - but I feel they are cheapening out on the ingredients. I fear our days of dining there may be over. So sad.

Excellent Hidden Gem. On the west side of Abbotsford this hidden gem has been providing me, my family and my friends with superb sushi for over a decade. And it was a VERY pleasant surprise when the food remained at this expected quality after new ownership took over. The lunch boxes are the BEST deal in Abbotsford and there is no scrimping on the ingredients. The Akai roll is a must have (especially when you ask for a little extra spicy sauce). Then the seared salmon, well, lets just say it will be difficult not to order more than one next time. Melt in your mouth. Go in, meet the new friendly owners and enjoy Abbotsfords best sushi.

It was my first time coming here today, and it was so delicious and clean that I was so happy.

Came here before, it was good so I came back. Now Im disappointed. Dynamite roll filled with cucumber and prawn, used to be crab meat, avacado and prawn... They cheaped out. Didnt say anything different in menu. Dont think I will be back.

Hana Sushi is my familys favorite sushi restaurant. A plenty portion at a reasonable price, as well as high-quality food. Hana Sushi has started skip-the-dish, so I ordered Akai roll, Philly large roll and Canucks boxes which are our favourite menus of Hana Sushi for lunch on Saturday. The chicken teriyaki in the box here is always awesome with savoury sauce. Also the rolls here are always full of hearty and fresh contents. All of my family were so happy that we could enjoy the excellent food of Hana Sushi at home with a skip-the-dish. I highly recommend to try awesome dishes of Hana Sushi.

In 30 years of going out for sushi this was one of the worst taste experiences, Overdose on mayo and the tempura was deep fried in rancid vegetable oil, ok a bit of hyperbole on this last statement but not that far off, maybe this is an anomaly for here but I won t be taking the family back here. Service was generally good but odd they didn t ask why the five of us left most of the food behind. Maybe this happens often here...

Absolutely fantastic. Fresh ingredients. Melt in your mouth fish. The tuna was so good. Even the simple yet delicious Edamame was amazing. Every bite was an an intricate dance of individual flavors working together. I would highly suggest eating here.

Excellent service! Taste, super. Not too sweet nor salty. I enjoyed the dumpling soup. Worth every penny! Ill come back again definately. The server was very kind and up beat. I liked the individual wet naps. The tables were far apart, and the server was taking every caution with the social distancing.

Awful food, awful service. I have sat down more than once to see the staff getting yelled at and making the servers look like they want to cry. Food was bland and tasted old. I always see new servers every 2 months or so?? Why the older ones you had were a lot better than now. They dont even give you a smile or say hi anymore. Gone straight Down Hill ... Hope they improve.

Food was prompt but had to ask for several things that were forgotten. Our soup came after we already received our lunch boxes. Forgot plates, and ginger etc.

Love this little sushi joint! The service is good, prices reasonable and the portions are bigger than a lot of other local places. I personally love the lunch box options.

I was somewhat surprised at the quality of the food. Good rolls and service was top notch. I edited my previous review of five stars. Its no longer good. My last two meals there where mediocre. I order assorted sashimi, one time the salmon smelt and tasted off. My last time there, the assorted sashimi had two shrimp, some salmon and tuna. Not a very good assortment for the price. My next craving for sashimi will be elsewhere.

Pricey, poor service, and tasteless. The food and service is just atrocious. The food is either tasteless or a collection of poorly paired flavours on their rolls. I came in starving so it should go to say how bad the taste turned out. The even forgot to bring out dipping sauce for the still-frozen tuna tataki. Their seared salmon nigiri is literally just seared with no mayo or pepper or spice. For some reason, the bill came out without asking in the middle of our meal, far from closing at 7:30pm, with only three tables of customers. Funny thing is we put cash on the bill and they left it uncollected for the rest of our meal. They didnt even have sharing plates to eat the sushi off of! They ended up giving us bowls. Oh, and the price is ridiculously high for the quality. No wonder there is no business at prime Friday night dinner hours. I think this restaurant can definitely improve but perhaps theyre going the other direction? The food presentation was the only decent thing to it all. What an odd experience this was...

I gave this place another try after its recent change in ownership and Im pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and service here. The chirashi bowl was definitely the highlight but the crazy boy roll was also quite good. Its rare and unexpected to find good sushi in Abbotsford so Im delighted to see a gem like this open up here, Ill be back again for more soon!

Amazing Tea. It smells like burnt rice. We ordered the Bento lunch box and its loaded. would have loved if they have ginger but thats something they dont do. But the sushi are good just a but understaffed but love the services. The chef even goes to people at times. Not on our table though.

LUKE WARM LEMON SOUP, the sunimono salad was pretty terrible as stated there it was kinda warm and tasted of lemon water with no vinegar, wont order that again for sure
