I dont post often..... unless ! Its absolutely horrible or absolutely EPIC ! This was my second round, and yes, indeed, it was a very ,very good second visit. Fresh tuna belly otoro, if im not mistaken, was good and fresh. I do fresh at home, but Italian style. This was better than mine any day.

Only been twice but twice within a week. Fresh & yummy. I appreciated the avocado to rice ratio. Clean & pleasant staff.

I had the veggie roll combo and a smoked salmon cone and it was excellent. The food tasted fresh, healthy, and the veggies were crisp. The staff were friendly, and prompt. Their bathroom was clean too. This was my go to for years before I moved, glad to see it is still excellent in 2024! Vegetarian options: They have quite a few vegetarian options. Anything that is spicy is marked as such.

My husband and I went to Sushi 9 for the first time this evening. We were so impressed with both the sushi and service that if we could give it a 10 rating we would. I think they would remember us as my husband broke one of their glasses . They were so efficient and kind. Thanks Sushi 9, we will be back

I used to go to sui sha ya... and I have to say this was a horrid decision to get taken over. The food is overpriced and they cant even make a sunomono correctly and my fried food was cold. There is more decoration on the food than actual food. Dont come here

The best Sushi restaurant in town. New ownership, better hours, excellent food. I eat there 3 times a week. Staff are awesome. Today i tried a more expensive Tuna and it was amazing.

Google searches for dinner while away from home can be hit or miss....this one was outta the park! Cosy little place beside the liquor store. Owned and operated by the Itamae (Chef) who makes all the sauces from scratch. The teriyaki sauce is the most AHHmazing I have had in my life! Thank you from a finicky customer. Vegetarian options: Tons of options Parking: Typical mall lot. Handicapped spot right in front of restaurant.

My favourite sushi place in the Fraser valley I absolutely love eating here with my boyfriend. Everything we ve ever ordered is so wonderful and the atmosphere is really cute and homey.

Chicken ramen is good

This is easily the best restaurant in Abbotsford and my favourite restaurant ever! Not only is the food incredibly fresh and delicious, but the staff are very friendly, considerate, and just lovely! I suggest this place to everyone I know! Youve gotta eat here! I eat here like twice a week and Ill never get tired of it. Ive never had a bad experience or dish. Cant give this place enough love!

I really cannot recommend this place enough going anywhere else is absolutely pointless because you wont find the quality youll find here. Vegetarian options: About a third of the menu is vegetarian and vegan if youre into that sort of thing the quality is high across the board. Dietary restrictions: Looking to bulk? Fresh fish and rice! Looking to cut? Gomae and fresh fish! Keto? Fresh fish get you some sashimi its heavenly Gluten free? FRESH FISH!

I came in and ordered their spicy salmon rolls along with sashimi and it was super delicious the sashimi had a beautiful buttery texture and melted in your mouth the salmon rolls were just as good super fresh and tasty would most definitely would come here again

I was a walk in 2 orders of tuna, 6 ebi and 2 bbq eel...asked for extra wasabi and I got 2 teaspoons worth. What was the point of the 14 % tip on a pick up order if you cant get a little bit extra. This is why we shouldnt have to pay until we can check the order. Sure Ill pay for the order but if you cant afford to give a third teaspoon ball of wasabi than let me know and give me the option to pay for it . Next time Im leaving 1.00 tip

My family and I went to eat dinner. The lady server forgot part of our order. I had to ask for tea. The food was just ok. We asked for saracha sauce, and they charged us $0.90 for a table spoon worth. We ordered over $90 worth of food.

A great little sushi restaurant in a rather unimpressive location. We popped in for a late lunch and the ratings were spot on. Great service, excellent food. I guess if they have a lot of sit down customers it gets crowded, but they seem to have a lot of take out. We had the lunch specials (sushi sashimi plate, two options special, spicy agadashi tofu, miso and tea). Very filling for us, and totally hit the spot. Highly recommend

Quite impressed with such an unassuming location. I ordered nigiri sushi, quite impressed with the way they look, and the ratio between fish and rice, more fish and less rice than most other places, which is what I prefer. I will be back.

Really nice little place with amazing friendly staff. My girlfriend gets cold really easy and the guy working noticed and turned up the heat without us even having to ask. This kind of special attention and care for customers is uncommon these days and very much appreciated! With her warmed up and sipping on some tea while waiting for our food, he came with a little fishcake and told us it was on the house. Our meal was beautifully presented, delicious and really good quality for the price. I definitely suggest this place if youre in the mood for sushi and in the neighborhood! Thanks for the heat and the free fishcake! Well be back!

Had the Don Katsu Ramen and it was excellent, great value for money $12.95. It was excellent. Previous orders from here have also been excellent. Feb 28, 2022 Ramen was excellent again tonight!

Ohhh my gosh! Just ordered and Im already excited to order again. Tried some different rolls and they were both great. The mango was so fresh and the baked salmon inside the other roll was so delish.

They dont have deep fried after a certain time. Tiny place very friendly.

I just ordered dinner from here and it was delicious! Everything was amazing. I wish the salmon oshi had a bit more of a sear on top but when I took a bite I noticed they added a little sashimi in the rice so it made it up for it. All in all a wonderful meal, they even gave us a beautiful rose which was a lovely surprise.

Excellent sushi for this part of the Valley and price was reasonable too. Also if you enjoy listening to 1st and 2nd gen kpop the vibe and music here are pretty nostalgic. Will definitely be back.

One of my fave places to order takeout sushi in Abbotsford. Seafood is always fresh and tasty. And they always seem to put cute little touches like fresh fruit or decorations with the meal. Dine in is also available, but seating is limited to only a few tables. But everything is still presented very nicely. They also try their best to accommodate requests and add ons. Great gem of a restaurant!

Living in Vancouver, I didnt have high hopes for sushi in Abbotsford. Thankfully, I was very wrong. Sushi 9 Nine makes some proper, excellent sushi. Their maki and nigiri are both very much worth trying. The service was great, too. Very friendly staff. A little on the pricier side but not a standout from standard good Vancouver sushi.

The sushi was absolutely amazing. Spicy tuna had some nice kick for the lover of spicy. The dragon roll was my favourite item and I highly recommend it!

I went here a couple weeks back and ordered a dynamite roll and a California roll. The lady at the counter who took my order was super friendly, and I feel bad about leaving a negative review because of that. The prawn in the D. roll was slimey and tasted like it had been out all day, and for some reason they also put cream cheese on it, but the menu doesnt tell you that. The Cali roll had so much mayo on it that thats all you could taste.

Just wow! This is now hands down the best sushi in Abbotsford. Well done to the new owners, everything in my order today was divine! All of the ingredients were beyond fresh and the special rolls I ordered were creative and delicious! I liked this place before, but the new owners have made it my favourite Sushi place now. Awesome experience and food.

Crab meat in a chicken teriyaki roll with no warning in the ingredients listed. Specifically ordered 2 items with no seafood, shellfish or crustaceans as it causes a anaphylactic reaction and put severe - life threatening allergy to Seafood and crustaceans. No cross contamination please in the notes to ensure there was no issues. Once I started to eat the roll my whole body started swelling and getting itchy so I called the restaurant to ask what was in the roll besides chicken and rice, the owner told me crab. Who puts crab in a chicken teriyaki roll and who doesn t disclose this on the menu. When I told Steve (owner) he said he would credit my account, the $12 is nothing compared to the sheer panic I had knowing I just ate something that may kill me. When I repeatedly explained the severity of not disclosing all ingredients in something that doesn t not usually contain shellfish Steve kept saying he would credit me. When I pointed out the special specific instructions he said he just read them. I am unable to leave my construction safety officer job to go to the emergency ward at the hospital because there is no one else to take over and I cannot send 95 workers home. This restaurant should be shut down for good.

My friends kept telling me about this place and I did 2 take out orders so far and it s amazing! High quality, fresh, delicious and reasonably priced! And the new owners are super friendly and kind, it s my new favourite sushi restaurant in Abbotsford! 10/10

I love this place. The food is always good and everyone is very friendly. I love the Salmon Teriaky.

Id say over all a good meal. The rolls we ordered were very good. The salmon sashimi didnt come apart as easily as other places (the pieces are very large and thick here) but thats my preference. The veggie sunomono had avocado in it which is weird- never seen that anywhere- tbh not my thing but the juice tasted good.There was a pleasant, hand-written note in the bag with some candy which was nice. Id definitely order from them again and see what else they have to offer.

Wish I could give six stars! There is no better sushi in abbotsford than sushi9 anyone giving less than 5 stars has no taste and probably eats boxed Mac n cheese on the regular tbh

I had left a 2 star review here about a year ago, but I heard the management changed so I decided to try again, and I was not disappointed! Everything was super good, they have items on their menu that you wont find in other Japanese restaurants, and the food all seemed to be prepared with great care. So Im happy to change my review to 5 stars now!

I moved to Abbotsford last year, from Alberta. There is a number of good sushi places where I moved from, with a great variety. I was very excited about BC sushi but Ive been disappointed every place Ive gone. To be fair, I havent gotten to visit many places outside of Abbotsford since I got here. But now Ive found this place. The sushi is fantastic! Its not covered in large amounts of sauce and is a perfect size. The staff inside are very friendly and polite too. Most other places in Abbotsford basically just has rolls that are basically just California rolls with slight modifications. Its nice to find a place where almost every role is a new experience. And as for their California roll, its fantastic and tastes great. I found my sushi place!!

The Best sushi restaurant in Abbotsford.

I have been following my favourite sushi chef and person for over 7 years. Terry He just came to sushi 9 Sushi is probably my favourite food in the world. Could eat it every day. And a lot of the time I do. I have been to a lot of sushi places. And what Terry brings to the table is amazing and can never be beat. Delicious and filling, the presentation, service, quality and personality. Nothing else compares. I would recommend sushi 9 to anyone and Terry is your man. Passionate and professional and the best. Nothing else compares. If you don t come down and meet him and see what he brings to the table you re crazy and you won t regret it. Jeremy

Mediocre sushi at best, and I was treated with very negative attitude for asking for a fork. I understand it is a sushi place, but I prefer the utility of a fork over chop sticks. You can tell someone there is no forks available while still treating the customer like a human being.

Ordered agedashi tofu. It was the starchiest agedashi I have ever tried. You could see the bits of corn starch that wasnt fully cooked, and the tofu was way too firm. Definitely the worst agedashi I have tried in Abbotsford

Pleasant couple work here and they are rather nice making you feel like you just walked into mommas kitchen...the food was outstanding fresh sushi hand made while you wait in a comfortsblely put together restaurant. Great place to go if your a subcontractor and need to energy up really fast.

It was ok. The food was alright, not terrible not great. But a few things threw me off. The tea was weak, they didnt have lemons for the water, they missed an entire roll and made no accommodations to fix that mistake other than to bring it at the end of the meal. None of the issues were over the top terrible, it just kinda added up to a meh kinda meal. I might go back one day.... But I wouldnt really recommend it.

The food was ok. I dropped by for lunch and the place was empty. The green tea was of the steeped tea variety instead of the typical loose leaf brown rice green teas that most sushi houses make in batch. The avacados in the avacado roll were turning black and I had to pick the black parts out and eat around it. One of the other rolls had a slimy type of sauce on top of it was which gross. The waitress also forgot to bring out the miso soup I ordered. I noticed it on the counter during my entire time there until she realized she forgot and I saw her microwave it and then bring it to my table. It was also pricey for the quality and quantity of food. Will not be going back.

The Owner was very rude at us, also the quality of food was almost to a point disgusting.

Sorry sushi nine, of 12 other sushi restaurants in Abbotsford, you guys had the second thinnest and least amount of fish in your salmon nigiri, and for 20% more cost than several competitors. But I did feel service was very good, overall I still like sushi nine very much! But please consider changing your nigiri portions if you want to stay competitive. On the flip side, presentation was beautiful and there did appear to be a lot of fish until I lifted it from the rice.
