Best Thai food in Abbotsford. Excellent service.

We ordered take out this evening and we had the spring rolls and pad Thai. The spring rolls were good (you cant go wrong there) but the pad thai was terrible! It did not have much flavor, the peanuts on top were burnt and the chicken was beyond dry. The building is old and smells terrible so it does not have a nice dine in ambiance either. The staff were friendly, but unfortunately it was not worth it.

I went for lunch after 2 pm. They have lunch combo special price until 2. The server told me that I will still get the lunch pricing. Very reasonable for the portion. Food was delicious , (a little too sweet for my liking) .Fresh vegetables , deep fried wonton & egg roll not too greasy. I will definitely go back. The place is under renovation. Parking: Plenty of parking close to the restaurant

A lovely little spot in the heart of downtown Abbotsford. The owners are lovely and will always be excited to help you get your lunch or dinner perfect. They will cater to small or large groups. Very good broth in the wonton soup, nice crispy chicken wings.Its hard to find perfect pad Thai, this was pretty good maybe more peanuts on top and more bean sprouts

Was craving Thai food after driving out to Abbotsford for a work errand. Stumbled upon this yummy Thai spot. They have tasty lunch options and affordable too! I loved the pad Thai and it s something too difficult to attempt making at home haha! The tamarind sauce is yummy. We pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves except one family. The owners were very nice and attentive. If I didn t live over an hour away, I d be back again more frequently. Support these local spots. It s affordable and yummy! The only item I would improve is their deep fried wonton. It was mostly a fried cracker. But hey, it s an added bonus for lunch special. Thanks for a yummy lunch!

First time coming here. Was in Abbotsford for the afternoon and was craving some Thai food late into the afternoon. A quick Google search and I came across this place. It was fairly close to where I was and reviews were high. Havent had proper Thai food for awhile so I was in need of something good. Briefly checked out the menu and settled on one of my favorites, pad gra pao (chili basil) stir fry with chicken. Was told 15 minutes on the phone, and it was ready in 10 when I walked in. Nice little place in a good area. Looked like there was alot of takeout orders lined up, good sign. Ordered rice to go with it. Food was delicious. Some of the best chili basil Ive had. Lots of basil, beans, and a generous amount of chicken as well. Sauce was spot on! I definitely will be back to try more dishes!

Easily the best thai in the downtown core. Great value lunch specials and the staff are really, really nice. The curries are so good. Everything weve tried we would order again and we are slowly making our way through the menu with each subsequent visit.

So slow but delicious

When we lived in Abbotsford, Ton Khao was our go to Thai place and now that we live in Langley we still make the trip out to go there often. We haven t been able to find any Thai in Langley that compares - lots of the good ones are double in price and don t taste as good. The food is SO good, the portions are huge for the price, and it s always ready so fast. Would recommend the beef pad Thai and Thai iced tea Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options if you ask :)

I have eaten a lot of Thai food I have eaten here ALOT. My partner and I either eat in or our almost every other week. Many of our friends have now started going as well. The food is delicious, the service is homey and the prices are very fair for the portion. If youre looking for a great new spot to try, I highly suggest Ton Khao Thai Vegetarian options: Let them know your allergies and theyre happy to accommodate if they can. Im vegan and eat here all the time Parking: Street parking all around also some lots. All the parking is free nearby

I have only been there twice, but even the first time was enough to tell me that this would become one of my new go-tos for lunch. I went the first time with my husband, who is crazy about Thai food and wanted to check it out. The lady at the desk was very friendly and even chatted us up a bit when told my husband had visited Thailand 3 times in the past, which honestly any chance he gets to talk about his trips he will take it heheh! The prices are reasonable and the food, oh the FOOD!! My red curry lunch meal came to $14: a light starter soup and 3 pc. flaky fried dumplings that melt in your mouth. Following that was a delicious red curry filled with vegetables, meat and heat level of your choice, and served with a side of rice and a refreshing side salad. Will likely make this my lunch spot from time to time when things are slow at work.

This Thai restaurant has a good atmosphere and good taste. and there is an alley behind the restaurant There is art on the wall that looks beautiful, helping create an atmosphere that is pleasant to look at, walkable, and interesting for those who love photography.

Wow this place was so good!! We walked in and there was a big family of 15 from Thailand that we re eating there. That was a good sign. My gf is Indonesian and we went with her family. They all loved it there!! So tasty and the server and cook and very friendly! YOU HAVE TO get the fried chicken wonton theirs their better than chicken wings

Incredible thai food! Stumbled upon this place driving around looking for lunch on a Saturday. We ordered the lunch specials which come with a soup and 3 wontons. Very tasty. Pad thai was incredible with a great smokey flavour. Service was pleasant and fast. If we lived closer, we would come every week!

We came from Vancouver to Mission Raceway for the weekend. Ton Khao Thai Cuisine made a nice ending to the trip. We arrived before 6 pm on a Sunday, and it was only us. The staff was super nice and friendly. This level of service will make other restaurants look bad when they ask for a tip. Their menu offers some options that I have never seen at other Thai restaurants. Some of the items perhaps are Chinese or Chinese fusion. This is good for a bigger group when some people cannot take spicy food. They also offer a range of spicy options. We had one dish in medium spicy and one spicy (the next level of spiciness after medium). The spicy hit the spot, and we needed some water to go with it! The surprise find was Lemongrass Thai Tea. It was so delicious and refreshing. Nice environment. The food was not expensive either. We had one appetizer, two main dishes, and one tea, and the bill was close to $50 before tips.

I was craving green Thai curry for lunch and chanced upon this hidden gem. The most authentic Thai curry and rice I have had since my visit to Pattaya years ago. Loved every bit of the food. Food

Definitely not the best Thai place to go to . Lacks a lot of flavor. Adequate customer service , it took someone 10 minutes to come and greet me at the front, yet no one was dining in at the time. It was a large lunch order for work, and all the soups and salads were missing. Too much of a hassle to call and get those. The orders were written wrong on the outside of the containers, which was dangerous because of severe allergies.

Great food and friendly server, though initial wait time was a bit too much and no one greeted us for a while. Once we were sitted, service was pretty decent. We had spring rolls, green curry, and Pad Prig Pao fried rice. Loved the taste! Vegetarian options: Dishes can be made vegetarian (without eggs and meat) or vegan. Parking: Street parking available, have free parking lots nearby within 250 metres. Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere allows bringing kids to the place.

Went in at lunch on a Friday. Wasnt that busy. I was really surprised with how fast my food came: less than 8 minutes upon ordering. As a person who has high cholesterol I love thia food and how I can have high quality meals that taste infinitely better than fast food and reap very little health detractions. Everything is delicious and quite affordable. The menu isnt overwhelming with a million different options, its clear, concise, and delicious. The staff is attentive and friendly I didnt need to wait to ask anything. Its calming at lunch time, great place to be productive if you want. Great place I highly recommend. Vegetarian options: Thia food is quite expansive in its ingredients so vegetables and even fruits are common place. You wont struggle to find vegetarian options here and you wont struggle to find meat options too. You have it both ways here.

I wish this place had lived up to its 4.5 star rating. The lady who served us was very friendly and the service was good, but the food was lackluster. The portions were small for a Thai place. I dont remember the name of what I ordered but it was #46 on the menu. A prawn dish. It was pretty dry, served on dry rice noodles. No vegetables or anything. The sauce was tasty but I asked for the spiciest level and it had very little spice. I was treating the love of my life to lunch and she ordered the yellow curry. They brought an oily dish that looked more like red curry and was spicier than what I ordered even though she ordered NO spice. They took it back and brought her back a dish that actually looked like yellow curry this time. It was ok but still spicier than what no spice would typically be. I would have given 3 stars except that a couple hours after eating I started experiencing heartburn which I rarely ever get followed by an upset stomach. I write this review as I try to evict the Thai warriors obviously having a huge battle in my lower intestinal tract!

I come here specifically for the Ton Khao rolls - I dont recommend ordering these for takeout just because theyre wrapped in delicate rice paper. The owner here is so cute too and a gracious hostess. Overall, a great spot for authentic Thai in Abbotsford. Food : 5/5

Best Thai food in town! They are always friendly with excellent service! I am not usaly too adventurous with foods I am not use to, but I have been very comfortable exploring their menu and have always been pleasently surprised!

This is not authentic Thai cuisine. I have now tried every Thai restaurant in abbotsford and I have to say that your Panang curry is not Panang curry! Basically it is way way way too sweet to be considered Thai Curry (and yes I know panang curry can be on the sweet side) I know what you did! You really did fake it! Your Panang curry is basically a massive amount of Thai Peanut Sauce, with bell peppers and my additives of Cashew and Pineapple! (You cannot tell me that youre panang contains either panang curry paste, galangal, or fresh Kaffir/makrut lime leaves)I have tried the only other 2 thai restaurants and I can definitely distinguish between what restaurant I order panang or massaman curry from. It is very very clear that you dont use authentic curry paste, instead just load up a bowl of Thai Peanut sauce. You can have 90% of your food back as I didnt eat it (and by the way why include little red rice pieces in the Coconut Rice?, made it look like bugs were present in the dish). I want my money back and you can have your atrocious dishes back and I will order from a more reputable Thai restaurant in the future

In Abbotsford city center, the environment is clean, and its convenient to find parking spaces. I decided to order prawn pad thai and chicken wings at this restaurant. The overall taste of the meal was satisfying, but I couldnt help but feel a bit disappointed with the portion of prawns in the pad thai. Unfortunately, there were only four prawns in the dish, which I found a bit lacking considering the $17 price tag for the pad thai. Apart from that, everything else was enjoyable, and the restaurants atmosphere was pleasant. Despite the slight letdown in the prawn quantity, I still had a decent dining experience.

I ve ordered takeout a couple of times lately and it s basically all I want to eat now, all the time! They are fast and the food is always still hot when I get it home.

I ordered take out of the chicken satay and the Tom Ka soup with chicken. (Should have had the prawns) I used to order the exact same when it was Phuket Thai. The chicken satay was bland, the dipping sauce was good though. The soup lacked flavor and color for sure and was very unappealing. Not at all like I used to get. I had to add Sriracha to it. Very disappointing. To top it all off, as soon as I finished lunch I had explosive diarrhea and felt ill. I didnt eat anything else today so know it was definitely that lunch.

This is hands down the best Thai restaurant in Abbotsford. I get takeout here at least once a month and every dish is always on point (curry, pad see ew, fried rice, pad thai). Cant go wrong!

My significant other and I just recently tried this restaurant and I am very happy that we did. We ordered the pad thai and the thai milk tea and both were delicious! The staff were very friendly over the phone and in person. We will definitely be trying more of the menu in the future.

This is, dare I say, the tastiest Thai food my family has ever had. This place is a reason to come visit this city. Loved it.

We are going to watch the air show on Friday, and even though we are only about 70 kilometers away from home, we came to Abbotsford to stay and play a few days in advance. I haven t had Thai food in a long time, so I thought about it and found this place. The restaurant staff are very friendly and the food tastes very good.

Great food! I love the pad Thai, and the Thai Milk Tea (Cha Yen) is AMAZING! And all of their dishes are really good. We come here a couple of times a week, at LEAST for the Thai Milk Tea. Plus the service is incredible! The nicest woman works the front. You gotta check it out!

Delicious delightful food. Their papaya salad reminded me of the authentic Thai flavor when I visited Thailand. All the other Thai places in lower mainland make their food too sweet, and not authentic enough. In addition to great tasty food, their service was top notch and made us feel very welcome even though we came starving towards their closing time. Not only they did not rush us to finish the food, but also made us feel welcome and comfortable to take our time to finish our food. Highly recommended

We had a lovely dinner here with a group of friends last night. The food is very flavourful and the service is excellent. And it s very well priced! 5 of us pigged out (including soda and Thai tea) for 89 bucks! We loved everything we ordered (and we are all vegan btw!) I can t wait to go back and try some more dishes. Highly recommend.

The BEST red curry! I was supposed to save some for lunch but nothing left. So much flavour packed in there!!,

The pork belly was dry..not recommended. Red chicken curry was average. Tom kah gai was very good

My husband and I love Thai cuisine and have been searching for a favourite Thai spot since moving from Vancouver to the Fraser Valley. Time and time again, we have been thoroughly underwhelmed by the places we have tried, until finding Ton Khao! Their curries are a dream; great flavours and the veggies are cooked to perfection. It s a regular stop for us anytime we are in Abbotsford. We are so happy to have found this little gem!

Had the pad see ew the other day and it was delicious and packed with veg and meat. Ordered extra hot but it wasnt over spiced which was nice. The noodles were a bit soft could be cooked for a shorter time, overall the meal was great!

Excellent food. Tom Kah prawns soup is soooooo good. Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants Ive ever tried. Looking forward to trying more dishes.

We were very impressed with the taste of the food! However, there was hairs in my entree and had to throw it out.

This was the most loving time sharing the best food my friend had ever eaten, he even had a double order of appetizers. The fish I had was so large I had to share it as well. The service was so friendly we felt like family with the owners even taking their picture with us. we are definitely finding friends from Chilliwack and east to bring a large group for dinner. Thank you for the most memorable time.

Soooo good!! I usually stick to my regular yellow/red/green curry, but Im so glad I went with their recommendation for Mussamun curry! Its sweet and spicy but so different and unique and delicious. Good serving sizes. Quick service. Nice big open space. Lovely kind people! Definately will be back to try more and more!

Tried to go here 4 or 5 different times over the years for lunch and every time walked into an empty restaurant with nobody insight and had to leave, I finally just gave up trying to go there.

Definately underrated Thai restaurant in old downtown, Abbotsford!! Great friendly service, generous portions, and bang for your bucks! The seafood Pad Thai is awesome, you wont be dissapointed.

It looks like this place has changed names and or management in the last little while. I liked it then and I still like it now. They are very friendly and the food is consistently amazing. Let s top that up with some kind people and they greet me like a regular. I m a big fan. I hope for success for these wonderful people and their amazing drunken noodles

This place is great. A bit of a hole-in-the-wall but some great flavours, friendly staff, good prices, and healthy portions. Many options for vegetarians. I love Panang Curry and they serve it up right.
