We enjoyed lunch today at Yum Yum. Had half boneless and half bone in chicken with fries. Boneless was really good crispy and light chicken thighs. Fries were good too.

I really enjoyed the food here but the environment is kind scary , bathroom is worst thing I ve ever seen , stains , floor are super dirty , u can t look down then u notice a lot of thing need to be wiped and cleaned , please fix this

I order many different options on the menu, the food was delicious. There was an abundance of flavour in every bite! The employees were the sweetest people, so kind and generous. Atmosphere was calm and peaceful. I enjoyed the little lights that were hung up.

We tried it out based on the reviews, but were disappointed. Although the staff was friendly and the chicken was fine, it wasnt as great as the hype and it was overpriced. Also, the bathrooms werent very clean, which is always concerns me in a dining establishment.

I frequented some Korean chicken joints in Calgary and this was the first time I purchased Korean chicken in Airdrie. I thought that the chicken was overpriced for the quality that I got. I purchased a half order fried chicken 6 piece and it was boneless. Normally I have order is between 14.99 and 1799 in the city and they give you an option of seasoning it or not. This establishment charges you different prices if you intend on getting the fried chicken seasoned or not which is what gives Korean fried chicken is charm. This was a little annoying because in Calgary you dont have to pay a premium for seasoned fried chicken, but we are in Airdrie after all and theres very limited competition. I found the chicken for the price I paid to be small, crispy and not very meaty. I even found some of the pieces to be so small that I had to go get additional food for my boys. I ordered a small order of fries as well that were onion flavored. Although, they were good, they certainly could have made the portion size bigger. I was happy to support a local business. However, I do enjoy getting great tasting food at a good price and neither of those two things were met. Sorry, but thats just my review. Enjoyed this restaurants Korean fried chicken, but I did not. Please note that my review is only in comment of the Korean fried chicken. I did not try any of their other dishes so I dont want to comment on those so my review may change if I decide to purchase one of their other dishes other than Korean fried chicken in the future.

This is a great place for Fried chicken. Had to wait only 15 minutes for fresh deep fried chicken . Please try this out, we were Not disappointed.

Very disappointing experience. Ordered through Doordash, when I checked the order the 3 piece combo I ordered with shallot chicken were 3 chicken bites (granted i ordered boneless) with no sauce or seasoning or shallots, the box was filled with rice mostly as I had got that as my side. Our other order was the half chicken combo, again tiny pieces of chicken. I understand we pay for convenience to get food delivered but there is no value here in terms of quality or quantity. Not sure if it was an off night based on other reviews.

Weve been eating here since we moved to Airdrie 2 years ago and were never disappointed. Pretty pricy but its very delicious food and very friendly service. Best fried chicken around Calgary.

They have the best French Fries in the world. I love the YumYum Chicken, just the right amount of sweet and heat, and perfect crispy coating. Really the only reason to visit the Calgary area.

Expensive but delicious and super crispy fried chicken, dump that Kentucky fried garbage and get the spicy fried chicken or if you cant handle the heat get the shallot chicken both are amazing and I always have a hard time picking between them. Theres very limited dine in and I always try to order to pick up because they make it fresh every time so it can take 15min if you order in store. Overall best place for fried bird in calgary/airdrie.

The restaurant was extremely cold. We all had to wear our jackets to eat supper. The food was ok, the bibimbap was disappointing and not made like every other bibimbap you can get in Alberta. (It had fried onions in it and the meat seemed more like pressed ground beef from a hamburger rather than bulgogi and used tons of rice to bulk it up. The worst though, was the bathroom. The door looks like it hasn t been washed in a year. If I had visited the bathroom first, there is no way I would have eaten here. Disgusting is an understatement.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Airdrie. The fried chicken is always fantastic and Top notch. Staffs are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can t wait to return and wouldn t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for authentic Korean fried chicken in Airdrie.

Amazing food and the service is always friendly. Their chicken is phenomenal and I love the potato twists. But let me tell you their chicken dumplings are, hands down, the best in town! Ever since I discovered them on the menu, they are on my order every time.

First time here. I ordered the BBQ plate with spicy pork as my option. To me the food was okay, nothing memorable. Supposed to come with 2 pieces of fried chicken, I got 3 tiny pieces that were equivalent to about 1 piece of chicken. Small portions for $19 drink included.

Despite the chicken being the best chicken I ve eaten, they have problems with getting their food cooked quickly enough, so ordering before you leave home is recommended. Last time I tried to order, they didn t answer their phones. I drove over and placed and paid for my order. The restaurant was empty, but after waiting at least 5 minutes, they told me it would take an additional 35 minutes to cook the chicken. Why didn t they tell me that before taking my money? I couldn t wait that long, so asked for my money back. Instead of refunding my money, they charged my credit card again - so my credit card bill arrived, and I was charged over $80.00, and we didn t get any food. I d give them 0 stars for my last visit, but the chicken is delicious. Make sure you call and order before you leave home.

One of fave places to eat

This place is always good. We get the Shallot Chicken and the Sweet and Spicy Chicken. Its not spicy at all. You might like the potato twist. They are seasoned well. All of it has really great flavor. The owners are quite nice and really make sure to do things correctly. They have Coke products to drink with your meal. We like to dine in. Just a note, bring your own silverware though. The plastic cutlery isnt great. But its quiet and cute. If youre going to order for delivery, order direct, as Skip takes a large percentage which cuts into the small business profits.

The place is mostly take-out, not a lot of seats (4 tables).

Overall, really good, I would rate it higher but found it a bit on the expensive side and value not the greatest. What I did get was really good food. I ordered the lunch special which was a half chicken with fries and a drink and I tried the grilled beef rice bowl as well. The chicken was really good but I thought I ordered too much but the pieces ended up being smaller than expected. The scallion chicken had a good sweet flavour but balanced and fries were generic crinkle fries but also well seasoned and had a bit of a garlic flavour to it. The grilled beef or beef bulgogi was really good, rice didnt have much flavour but the beef was tender and nicely seasoned and very savory. There was a sauce with it too which was a nice addition. Probably wont be back often but if Im craving good chicken other than the usual generic fast food chicken Ill be there and Ill be back for the bulgogi. Please check this place our if you havent yet P.S order the chicken ahead if you can because it takes about 15 minutes to make which I wont complain about fresh food

One of the best Korean Style Fried Chicken.

I have been going here for years and it has always been great. Today I ordered their 3 piece meal, spicy. Keep in mind 3 pieces is usually 2 small pieces (leg and wing) and half a thigh. The chicken was very good, as it always is, but my French fries were 100% refried and so of course they were hard, dry, and overcooked. Im not sure why they would feel the need to refry old fries, especially when it was near the dinner rush, about 5:30 pm. I will still go back here since I really enjoy the chicken, but next time I will request for fresh french fries.

I was referred here by a friend saying it was the best friend chicken theyd ever had. So on a recent trip I stopped by and oh boy they did not disappoint. We had the scallion fried chicken. It was lightly battered, incredibly crunchy, light on sauce but incredibly flavorful. It is my new favorite chicken joint!!! On top of that the staff was insanely friendly and accommodating with kids. I cannot say enough great things about Yum Yum. Calgary and Adrie please go out and support this place!!!

We ordered the yum yum boneless chicken and bibimbap. The chicken was SO GOOD!! Amazing flavour and crunch...will definitely be back for that. The bibimbap we didnt find all that flavorful, but it was fresh and hot!

It was good because it wasn t salty, but The sauce is so sparing that I wonder if this is seasoned chicken. Theres seasoning only on the batter, but its not all applied... Its surprising that there isnt even a drop of sauce on the foil...

While the rest of the food we tried was good. What youd expect but not phenomenal. The chicken is fantastic! Highly recommend the shallot chicken! Delish better than KFC or Popeyes.

Pretty darn good fried chicken! Comparatively, it holds up to the other K-FC spots Ive been to in Edmonton. Skin is nice and crispy, sauce is tangy and flavourful, and meat is juicy. Prices and quantity are decent. Also appreciated receiving the free sides of Korean pickled moo. Would definitely recommend to anyone craving good fried chicken, and especially Korean fried chicken.

Really good fried chicken. It is in my top 3 for favorite fried chicken.

After hearing so many great things about this restaurant, I was disappointed to find that the fried chicken was quite bland and tasted like it had been fried in old oil. (Could taste the other foods that had been in the oil). Also, I think when spending the money on a family meal ($55+), there should be enough of each item to feed a family of 4-5. The fries were barely enough to split between 2 people. Won t be using this location again.

The lady who owns this is so sweet. We eat here every few weeks, and introduced our friends to it when they visit and it is always a hit. Dont be afraid to try the Spicy Chicken. We always get a potato too with cheese and onion. All of the flavoring is so literally finger licken good. Also, if you can avoid using Skip the Dishes you should, because this place loses money from your order if you place it through skip. You wont regret going here. Always good, if not the best chicken in Airdrie.

Popeyes and Mary Brown both have good chicken, but if you want the best, Yum Yum BBQ excels! Angela and her brother Sean make sure your order, which is prepared in double-coated batter, is fresh and hot. The food is prepared in canola oil with no shortening. The cafe in Stonegate Dr., also offers bulgogi bibibap, a dish which includes, beef, mushrooms, egg, carrots, onion, spinach with sweet soy sauce or red chili paste.

Recently visited. Tried most of the menu between our family. Some of the best bone-in chicken i have ever had. Excellent yumyum sauce. Delicious Kim-chi. Please come to Lethbridge! I will be coming back forsure next time I am in the area.

Stopped in for dinner on a spur of the moment.There is a limited menu of choices. My friend and I tried the Yum-Yum and the Spicy chicken. Both were delicious. The chicken is made fresh every order so expect a delay of 15 minutes, but the chicken is hot and juicy. On my first bite of the Spicy chicken, juices flowed out (so be careful not to burn yourself). We both loved the flavours --- the spicy has a slight heat that sneaks up on you. When you bite into it you do not sense the heat, after a second or so you feel the heat. The yum-Yum is sweeter with a unique flavour.

Picked up 2 pieces of chicken, fries and a soda. I usually get the spicy. The chicken is big pieces and is made to order. So expect a 15 min wait but it is piping hot. You get a big box of fries. We are now regular customers and you cant go wrong with the price, quality. The only weird thing is the Korean games shows they play on the tv - very weird watch it and you will see what I mean :)

Ordering from here is a shot in the dark. Sometimes its fantastic. Today it showed up nearly an hour late, everything was cold and have you ever eaten cold soggy fries (spiral fry)? Inedible. Twice now I ve been really let down by this place.

I dont know what it is exactly but there is something exceptionally unique and delicious about their chicken! Yum Yum Chicken & BBQ is simply a must for anyone who likes fried chicken. In particular, their shallot chicken is amazing and probably my favorite thing on their menu - followed closely by their spiral potatoes. Highly recommend this place!

This is the place my family used to like, but there is no reason to go this place any longer. Weve visited there several times since a couple of years ago, but recently realized everything there has been going down. Nothing special with chicken any more. To be honest, KFC is better now. Today, we found a clear reason we dont need to go there any more. Very disappointed with keeping making an excuse and their attitude, never saying sorry. We ordered spicy and regular chickens separately. We realized that these two taste and look exact same, all regular. One of staff said two different chickens as we ordered. They took chickens back to their kitchen while we were working on them, put them back to our table with spreading spicy seasoning on them. The lady (working at kitchen) appeared, said Again they were spicy chicken we served, but we put more seasoning on them, because you guys said it is not enough spicy. Also many of them visiting here cant eat if too spicy. Are you kidding? We are not talking about too or less spicy. We ordered both spicy and regular, but they are all regular. What they said is all three of us have ageusic tongue! To store owner/staff, it would be better to say just one word Sorry. If that, we would just say No worries, we are okay with both regular, just mistake. You need to listen and admit fault if customer is not satisfied. Otherwise, you will lose more customers. Hopefully, it helps both store owner and someone who will try with this place.
