Ginger Chicken in Airdrie

Gotta say I didnt love it the first time I had it. We ordered again recently and its was soooo good. Well done!

It used to be Great , but last two ordered the food was awful , Super soggy and mushy vegetables.

Dry garlic ribs are just deep fried fat . No meat !! Food

Upon entering this establishment, I can hear the roar of the gas wok burners, a place that super heats their woks, OMGOSH. Ordered an assortment of Chinese dishes, the BEST was the Yang Zouh Fried Rice (sorry for butchering the name). By super heating the woks, the fried rice has WONDERFUL TASTY Char bites, and the odor was amazing. This place knows how to make proper fried rice. THANK YOU.

Absolutely *fantastic* food. Such nice people. Always so friendly, confirm your order, quick to help. Call them to order and it costs a lot less than ordering online or through an app (because they dont have to pay skip or Uber).

We have been ordering food from this restaurant since we moved to Airdrie 2 years ago and we were happy every time. Sadly, yesterday we were disappointed with our order,the salt and pepper squid and lemon chicken has very thick breading , it s just like eating fried dough. It s still sitting in the fridge and might end up in the garbage .

Fresh and super good food. We tried chicken corn and hot and sour soup. Best in Airdrie.

Picked up, price was right and the gentleman working was very nice. Food was 2 stars though. Ginger beef tasted very vinegary, s&s pork was MEH.

Amazing food.

First time ordering from here as I received menu in the mail. Food was tasty and portions huge. Picky kiddo really enjoyed the wor wonton which had such great flavours. Everything tasted great. Definitely will be ordering them there again

Bog standard, enjoyable westernized Chinese dishes. Could use more meat and a bit less oil in the fried rice portions.

My go-to Chinese restaurant in Airdrie since Silver Star Closed. I am glad we have this restaurant in Airdrie. The ginger beef isnt as good as it was at silver star, but Ive yet to find anywhere that compares. Food

Food is average at best

Really fantastic spot. We ordered our Boxing Day meal for 10 people and the portions were perfect (not to mention, delicious). Friendly service when we picked it up. Makes me sad I dont live here and cannot frequent them regularly. If you do live in Airdrie, this is the spot.

Definitely the best Chinese food in Airdrie and I would argue Calgary. Everything was perfect, great taste and quick service.

We ordered for the first time here, it was delicious, fresh and not greasy. My kids were very happy! My husband who is very picky really enjoyed the food. I was surprised he said he really enjoyed the food! The restaurant is very clean and the gentleman that took our order was very kind and helpful. Definitely recommend this place.

I think we found our new favorite Chinese food restaurant!! We had take out from here last Friday and found it to be really, really enjoyable. The food was hot and fresh and it came in a timely manner. The dishes were full and we also found it to be reasonably priced. I honestly cant wait to try it again!

I use to order from Ginger Chicken before, why did i stop only reason was place closer to me, so was ordering there last while, i read there reviews to see if was just my taste buds from last order, know it was not, so i went back to a place should of never left. We order 2hrs before delivery on Christmas day. And i ordered 6dishes ,everything went to garbage as it tasted old and gross. Will never order again. Was pretty disappointed.

Best Sweet and Sour Chicken I ve ever had! Rice was good, spring rolls were good. Unfortunately the House Special Fried Noodles Soft were really dry.. only complaint! The lady working there was lovely, so friendly and nice! A pleasure to order from.

I hate to give such a bad review on anything or any where but this was terrible! Every single dish we could not eat. Money is so tough for us, and a treat for dinner so rare. It wasnt fresh, re heated, no taste, and I was sad and am making a sandwich now as Im starving

We have been searching for good Chinese food in Airdrie for months until we finally found Ginger Chicken! Staff is so lovely, the food is great, delivery is free over $50 which is awesome. Definitely a must try and a great local business to support.

I purchased $150.00 in Chinese food..this has been our families go to place since it opened. I always give our local businesses several chances and at first it was amazing and next time as well but as they grew in popularity the food went down hill Again I prefer to order locally so last night I did just that ordering over $150.00..came home opened our food and most of the dishes has a huge amount of veggies which yes is good but when you order a dish which should have meat and all you get is four small pieces its does get annoying.. One dish as an example was the beef with pepper sauce and it should be called veggies with pepper sauce.. long story short I was very disappointed and will not be going back or recommending the place..

We ordered the dinner for 6. It was ready on time, the food was freshly made, and by far, the best Chinese food weve had in over 20 years in Airdrie. The service was terrific and the restaurant is so clean you could eat off the floor. Highly recommend. :) Thank you to the owners, cooks and staff at Ginger Chicken.

Dont judge a book by its cover. Maybe not the fanciest looking restaurant on the outside. Inside its neat and cozy. The food was excellent and the service was fast and freindly. Ginger chicken is really good.

Noticed this place was fairly new, as we usually drive to Calgary for Chinese food because the Airdrie locations are usually mediocre. This place was a great surprise though. All the food was neatly packed in the containers without sauce spilling anywhere, and tasted great. Definitely recommend: Salt and pepper zucchini, its like salt and pepper chicken or shrimp but with zucchini instead. Yangzhou fried rice was great. Ginger beef is my bfs favorite and he liked it, so got his approval as well. Their wonton soup broth has the right flavor profile I like too. Definitely going to try other things from there next time I order, hopefully soon. Tip for leftovers: use a wok or skillet and just put a little oil in after preheating - then give your food a quick stir fry for a couple minutes to reheat just as good as the day you got it.

Disappointed, was quick, lots of food, sweet and sour pork had no sweet and sour sauce, so it was pork, fired rice was ok, but was just rice, a bit of chicken, egg and 3 or 4 peas.

Eating in this restaurant makes me feel very happy, relaxed, and the food is also delicious, the food ingredients are very fresh and the service is excellent. I will always come to this restaurant for dinner!

Called ahead and booked for a pick up and I still had to wait almost 30 minutes before it was ready after I got there! Very disappointing service.

I have to be honest... I was expecting alot more based on some amazing reviews. However, I have to say Im really disappointed. Chicken balls were blah, 20%meat if that, to 80% batter, wish I took a picture but we were starving. Kids ate most of them not knowing any different. Everything didnt really have the flavors we are used to and love. It wasnt horrible but more blah. Nothing to rave about. Weve had way better. We are first timers and sadly we wont be back.

It was new years eve could not phone in an order long wait food was ok but the place was mad busy, will give it a try again at a later date expect the food should be better Did try again and well worth food was excellent great portion and ready on time will use again. Ordered on Skip the Dishes, missing 2 out 5 items. When we called the phone number, no one answered. The food we did get was horrible and bland. The beef satay soup had absolutely no flavor, the satay chicken Shanghai noodles had no spice, very salty and was almost 100% noodles, very little meat. The BBQ platter again was very bland and flavorless. I was really looking forward to this experience, but it was an extreme disappointment.

Portion sizes were amazing for the price, but thats pretty much it. I found the food to not have very much flavor. We were looking forward to trying this place, but were left feeling disappointed. The vegetables were really crunchy and bland, and everything else just seemed dry. The spring roll was probably the best part of the entire meal.

Been to this Restaurant a couple of times and the staff were excellent, the food was the best Chinese food I have had in Airdrie since moving here 12 years ago. As well the portions are huge. I would recomend this restaurant without hesitation.

We just moved to the area and really wanted to like this place. The food was horrible, there was nothing we liked about it. Just very poor quality. We usually like at least something, but it all was not very good. The service was very nice and the people were happy.

Was not impressed with the quality of the food. Rice had no flavor. The ginger beef was over cooked and I am not sure there was even any beef in. I cant see myself ordering anything from this place again.

Maybe our expectations are too lofty, but honestly this was barely edible. We are what we needed to eat to fill out bellies and have thrown the rest out. 1. Something we are eating has a weird after taste. We think it might be the dumplings. 2. The Chicken Chow Mein has like 4 tiny pieces of chicken and lots of cheap noodles with Soy sauce all over it. No token veggies at all. Normally there is something other than just chicken and cheap noodles. Its also normally my favorite dish, but I had only a little bit and couldnt stomach more. 3. The Ginger beef was hard as a rock. We had a few bites and even the kids didnt want it and thats normally their favorite dish. Worst ginger beef on record to be honest. 4. No sauce in the Ginger Beef nor the Sweet n Sour pork. Regardless they tastw like nothing. 5. And for the sprinkle of the positive. The location looked clean, the server was polite when we arrived to pick up and the Beef n Broccoli was nice enough. Anyway worst Chinese food we have tasted in Airdrie so far and this is scary since its also the highest rated when we chose it. Ps. Photo is from tonight. Take aways are: all the ginger beer and the Chow mein remain. Most of the Sweet n Sour too. Of those 3 nothing should remain.

Oh Em Gee! First time customer and will definitely be choosing this restaurant again for when we have Chinese food cravings! Enormous portions, hot, and DELICIOUS! And ready on time for pick up! The server was super friendly and made delightful conversation!

First and not the last time ordering. My husband and I are new to the area. After a long week I suggested Ginger Chicken. We ordered over the phone directly to the restaurant, very nice staff. The food was outstanding. Fresh! And tasty...I have not had good Chinese food like this in a long time. You wont be disappointed. We ordered the sweet and sour pork, szechuan chicken, shrimp dumplings and satay chicken egg noodle which is a chow mein style noodle. They have 3 kinds of noodle style available. Our order could have served 4 people easily. I did read other reviews which were less stars and looking at the pictures of their food I agree their meal didnt look appetizing, but I guess the night we ordered (Thursday) was a good night to order out. Hoping this continues each time we order. :)

Ordered tonight for the first time. Not a huge Chinese food fan, but ordered the Beef Shanghai noodles and Ginger Chicken. Both are amazing and taste like they are homemade. Not overly powerful flavours, but just right. Have enough for 2 nights for the kid and I. Our new Chinese spot!

Tried ginger chicken for the first time ..we took hot and sour soup, schezwan chicken and shrimp fried rice..food was very Hot, and delicious... friendly staff as well!!! we be back for sure .

Friday evening delivery, food was hard, seemed old and flavors were not great. Spent all that money and all went into the organic bin.

Friendly service but bad food.

This was honestly terrible. The ginger beef was hard and was 90% breading, actually not sure if there was any beef inside. I took one bite of the noodles and spit it out because it tasted like chicken that has gone bad. Everything is going in the garbage. Dont waste your money.

Dont waste your money! Ginger beef had clearly been left out and was hard. Cutting into it you couldnt even see any beef. We threw it in the garbage. Probably the worst Chinese food Ive ever had. Are these 5 star reviews fake??

Absoulty wonderful from the moment you step In. This restaurant is so full of love, it is seen in first off the food, cleanliness and hospitality. Our food came so fast and was just delicous. Had ourselves some Ginger chicken, wonton soup, lemon chicken , chicken fried rice and veggies. All around wins for me. Spring rolls are massive and oh so good !

This place DOES NOT understand what a shellfish allergy is. Twice now I have ordered from there and they have put shrimp in my order after Ive told them I have a shellfish allergy.

Ive had food from Ginger Chicken a few times now. It is the best western-style Chinese restaurant in Airdrie. The food isnt greasy and is flavourful. Too much zucchini for me but that is my personal preference. The portion sizes are more than adequate. The front staff is always friendly. When I want western-style Chinese, this is my go-to.
