I havnt gone out for Chinese food in Airdrie in a few years. I had a mad craving tonight and decided to go back to my favourite spot. It did not disappoint. Just as amazing as it always has been. I ll be back again and again and again !!

Its a shame really that I have to give this place such a low review. Our family has been fairly loyal customers to win garden since we moved into Airdrie over 4 years ago. We found the food good and it was a really good price, not to mention it was easy to get to for us. However today which was Christmas eve my experience with the lady that owns this business made me decide to never order from them again. I knew it was going to be busy as it usually is on Christmas eve so we decided to order our food at 4pm which we thought would give us enough time to eat and then go about our business in the evening. We were expecting a longer than normal wait and we were ok with that. The problem arose when my husband came home with our order. I unpacked the food and quickly noticed that we were missing 2 of the dishes we had ordered, two main dishes which for a family of five is significant. We called them back and tried to explain this to the woman on the phone who acted as if we were the crazy ones.she kept saying are you ordering? What you order? When you order? When we finally got her to understand we had just picked up our order she then kept asking us over and over again our phone number and which dishes we were missing and which dishes we had already. After about 10 min of this back and forth she repeated our two missing dishes to me and then hung up the phone. No good bye, no come and get your food its here, not even a go f yourself, nothing, just hung up on me. So like any normal person would I called her back as I wasnt sure what was going on, I thought she put me on hold actually at first. She answered the phone again and I said, hi, I was just talking to you and you hung up on me. And before I could say anything else to her she started yelling at me. She was said you dont call again, dont call back your food is here, you come get food and stop calling, we are busy! I said to her that I wouldnt have to call back if she didnt hang up on me in the first place! and that she was being a b for no reason. When I got back down to the restaurant she was in the back hiding im assuming as it wasnt really that busy in the place so clearly that was a lie. There was some young guy at the front, I said yeah I just called about my missing food. He handed me the food and didnt say anything to me. I told him that the lady that was talking to me was so rude and that it was the worse customer service Ive ever seen not to mention completely uncalled for. He just kept saying he was sorry but I mean really does that make the behaviour acceptable? Other than the food being decent I will never buy food from them again. This was the worst customer service ever, I work in retail and if I spoke to a customer the way she spoke to me I would have been fired on the spot. Yes it was Christmas eve, but I ordered at 4pm, I gave them an hour to prepare my food and didnt complain. I was willing to be reasonable about the missing food even though I had to go back out of my way and make a second trip to get the food. We paid good money for the food, $120.00. And all she had to do was say, hey sorry, we made a mistake please come back, your food is ready and for your inconvince we will do X for you. I may have been annoyed that I had to make another trip but it would have been fine in the end. Completely unbelievable behaviour, literally the worst service Ive ever experienced. Im sure if it continues they will be out of business by the end of next year.

We have been going to Win Garden for years but will be finding a new place in town to go to now. Their prices keep going up, the amount of food you get keeps getting smaller, they no longer give free items when you spend a certain amount, and no longer give a discount when using cash. The food has not been as good as it use to be and it s not even hot when we get it home from a 8 minute drive home. This is not a way to keep your customers coming back.

Wor Wonton soup was delicious. Prepared quickly and friendly staff. Im looking forward to ordering more soon.

I think the best review I can give their food is simply this.... meh. Weve had much better for cheaper, weve had worse. We threw away about $40 dollars worth of the 70 we spent.

This used to be our favorite Chinese food place in Airdrie. Specifically because the crispy meat dishes we ordered had plenty of actual meat in them, not just batter. We hadnt ordered from there in awhile, but ordered our usual fav tonight (sesame chicken) and vegetable chow mein. The chow mein was fine and had a decent amount of veggies. The chicken, however, hardly had any chicken in it (mostly batter). We also ordered spring rolls, which were very greasy and pale - so likely not fried hot enough or long enough.

The food here was delicious and the owners are very nice people. Food was served in a timely, quick manner. Overall I had a great first time experience here with my date. :)

I always used to love Win Garden. The buffet and service are hard to beat, and the prices are incomparable ! Until today.. Lunch buffet is each person at the table paying 13.99 but no ACTUAL buffet.. they have to bring you plates of what the entire table asked for.. which is not nearly what you would get at a buffet. Cant ask for extra.. no soup, chicken, or seafood options.. and you cant take any leftovers home. We spent 77.00 today.. for 4 plates of food and 4 people to feed.. and no leftovers allowed.. even tho you cant just go pick what you want.. so you cant just go eat what you need.. or order what you want. We had to skip some stuff we individually wanted cuz we knew it would be too much food if we had to order a plate worth of each item. It still WAS too much, cuz half if us didnt want to eat what the other half ordered and vice versa.. so we asked if we could take any home and they laughed and said oh no. Its a buffet! And kept laughing. With tons of food left to GARBAGE cuz it was on out table. 77.00 for what half of us didnt even want. Im sorry.. but false advertisement is what kills a business. It will be a very long time before I order again if ever. I still tipped my 10% for the entirety while my friend who didnt pay for the food added an additional 5.00.. cuz of the memories of what USED to be a good restaurant.. dont bother til dinner hour. Even then.. not even sure what they offer anymore. This was terrible and wasteful.

The food is absolutely amazing but the place is dirty!!! Nothings been cleaned in years and the salt and pepper containers and soya sauce is sticky and filthy plus they put a jar of chilli oil at the table open, horrible hygiene. The servers weren t great and they wouldn t let us have more than one napkin!!! Great food but they have to clean up!!!

Was pretty tasteless. Won t be returning. Beef and vegetables did not look like beef. Was a big disappointment.

Finally found the best Chinese in Airdrie!! Everything is phenomenal...sesame chicken is the best I have ever had!! Definitely recommended

Take out is awesome as are the portions. Remember no free items on special days (ie. Mothers Day, New Years Eve, etc).

We have been ordering from Wyn Garden for almost 5 years! We absolutely love it and it is priced much better than some other places. Just writing this makes me want to order! Portions are very big and we always get left overs for the next day after feeding a family of 5 (all adults, 3 males and 2 females) to give you an idea of the portion size.

Ordered the sweet and sour pork, beef chow mein, bbq pork fried rice, and lemon chicken. Super good and definitely recommend!

Not really happy about how my husband was treated tonight. Ordered from a menu we received with our food a month ago. According to the coupon on the back, we could have had free chicken balls, because we spent over $40. The lady then told us that we had to spend $55 to use the coupon. We brought the menu with us just so we could show her, and the lady proceeded to insult my husband, saying it was impossible for us to have that menu because they changed their menus 3 months ago. Instead of her admitting that they gave us an old menu the last time we ordered, the woman proceeded to laugh at my husband and walk away. We wont be back. Their prices keep going up, and I dont appreciate the poor customer service.

In from out of town, we saw driving by and thought buffet would be great. Walking in, there was no buffet. Disappointed, but ok, we ordered from the menu. I was happy to have ginger beef again after 7 years. It was not great, extra hard but had a little flavor. Sweet & sour pork tasted strange from what I used to. Salt & pepper squid was chewy and bland. Food was hot and speed of service was great, but it wasnt the Chinese food I was hoping for.

Probably the only reliable Asian food of its kind in Airdrie that s worth it. Otherwise u may have to go to Calgary to be satisfied. Very consistent with many dishes, good service

Wow! What a great buffet! All of the food was absolutely delicious! Their won ton soup is right up there with some of the best! Everything is made from scratch and many of the options are MSG free. I can t wait to go back again! This is a restaurant you need to try!

Good food and super friendly staff!

This was a take out, thought it was OK until we found a button off a chefs jacket in one of the dishes. Almost broke a tooth, really hurt mouth. Upon taking it into show them, they wanted nothing to do with us. Accused us of lying and didnt want to address any complaint. We will not return to this restaurant under any circumstance, we will also be sharing our experience.

Buffet was so disappointing. I took my dad for dinner after hed been away for 3 years and was looking forward to a good Chinese buffet. I understand when a restaurant isnt busy, you dont want to make too much food to have it go to waste, but they should make sure the new customers can have enough available get a plate or 2. Food was old, bland and the lady who came out to check on food, instead of filling with a bit of fresh food, she just kept spooning won ton soup broth into the old dry food that was burning to the pans. I asked for a small amount of lemon chicken sauce because the 4 peices of lemon chicken were dry, they said they dont give extra sauce with buffet. We had to ask them to make fresh lemon chicken as there was barely enough meat to fill our plates. They brought some out fresh but it was near the end of the meal and we were pretty turned off by this point. For $17 plus tax per person it was very poor.

We have been wanting to go to the buffet for a few months but havent been able to because everytime we went in it was the wrong day. They only offer it Friday and Saturdays. Prior to COVID it was everyday. We go into today which is Friday. Called ahead of time and said the buffet starts at 430pm. We arrived at 445pm and nothing was ready. We asked the worker there and they said it will be quite awhile before anything is ready because they have a lot of take out orders which wasnt communicated when I called. We drove all the way from Cochrane. Lets just say we wont be going back again. Also to note the last time we went in and asked about the buffet the lady laughed at us which we found weird.

Ordered food the other day for me and my boyfriend. The amount of grease from all the items was an unholy amount. The items were salty and also poorly packaged. They also missed part of my order. Very disappointed. Will not be a returning customer.

Went with my family, worst buffet ever. Food was old and dry, vegetables were slimy probably from being cooked over and over. Food was hard. Also were the only ones in there and she stood there watching us, felt very racially motivated. Never going back.

I went out for dinner with family since it was the only other buffet open that late and the pictures looked vivid and appetizing. First off we were the only ones there other than the rceptionist and the chef. I found that the food was either tough, overcooked, slimey or too salty. None of the three of us could finish our plates and to top it off the receptionist wouldnt stop staring at us while we ate.

4th year ordering Christmas dinner from Win Garden. Extremely busy when I picked up our order, which was wonderful to see the community support for a local business. As I was driving home, the restaurant called me twice, which made me wonder if something was wrong. When I attempted to call back I got an answering service first, and when I redialed, the restaurant answered the phone. I was told that I got my order and dont call again. I was never given an opportunity to speak nor did the restaurant explain why they called my cell phone twice. When I unpacked our order, it was missing 1 dish, and we were given a duplicate dish of something we did order. So were even right? Why update this review? Folks, this has been an extremely difficult year for families as well as small businesses. We have always been treated really well by the staff at Win Garden, and I appreciate how stressful it can be to deal with the public. Our dinner was DELICIOUS, but we DID have an issue with our order. Instead of attempting to listen, the person answering the phone at Win Garden hung up on me. I realize its Christmas, and one should exercise gratitude and forgiveness. I also understand they were extremely busy, but there is absolutely NO EXCUSE for rude service, EVER. Will I go back? Probably. Given our familys experience with this business, they are deserving of a second chance. Make no mistake: I wont hesitate to order and pick-up from Calgary if Im ever treated this way again. This is NOT how you treat loyal customers. After posting this 2nd review, I looked at my cell phone. The restaurant called at 1:18 PM MST this afternoon, but did not leave a voicemail. I can only assume this was to admit their mistake with our order, and apologize for their phone behavior. I will eventually update this review with the resolution, if anything. =========================================================== Our experience has always been good. Food quality and take out portions are very good. Staff have been kind and courteous with my elderly parents who frequent the place. Made our Christmas dinner 2017 and wouldnt hesitate to order 2018s meal as well.

If I could give a zero star I would. Waited 4 hours for the food, was told it would be 1 hour. I will never return...EVER. Win Garden more like Lose Garden

ordered in for Mother s Day,the sesame chicken looked like it was rewarmed at least two times,the ginger beef also was not fresh,everything tasted like it was second time over,we paid 90.00 for dinner for six,not recommended..sad

My mom and I love this place. We go together and eat in, the staff are so nice and the food is always excellent. I get the Shanghai noodles, wonton soup, and the fried chicken. Good place for fresh and tasty food!

Ordered Chinese from this restaurant for a birthday party. The food was fresh, delicious and ready in a short amount of time. We picked it up ourselves and because we ordered a large amount, the owner gave us a free dish of our choice!

Christmas eve phone in at 6pm got our food at 845 and it was cold. Now we are having chinese and warming it up in microwave. And they forgot our rice. Not only am I disappointed but when I called manager only offered me 15percent off next order..... like Ill ever order from here again. Taste ok if u like to nook your food before eating. Extremely disappointed I even pho ed after an hour willing to pick up and she said no it will be delivered. Just ridiculous.

The lunch buffet is only $10. It goes until 3 which is good. Everything tasted very nice, especially the hot and sour soup.

Best chinese food in airdrie

Takeout was a great value, excellent food, and very generous portions.

rice dry, sesame chicken overcooked, and won ton soup just had wontons and a clear water- downed liquid. used to be good there but seems to have gone down hill.

This is by far the best Chinese buffet I have had. The food was fresh. Selection was very tasty. Staff friendly and always filling up your water glass.

Dont ask to make an easy substitution on your order. The psychotic Chinese lady on the phone might scream and have a absolute melt down on you. Speaking from experience. Last time i EVER spend money at this dump.

Normally very pleased with the dishes. Tried 2 new ones tonight, and not happy. Diced chicken veg cashews was literally 1/2 full of celery. Took photos. Salt and pepper seafood had a total of 5 shrimp, 2 scallops and the rest squid, with coating mostly sitting at the bottom of the container.

Win Garden is our go-to for chinese food in Airdrie but after our awful experience tonight, that is definitely changing. First of all, when we placed our order over the phone for pick up, were were told it would be ready in 30 minutes. My husband arrived at pick up time, slightly before dinner rush (430pm) he was continuously told 10 more minutes but ended up waiting an additional 45 minutes!!! He finally arrives home only to realize we got the wrong order! So he calls and lets them know and goes back to get our correct item. When he arrives home the second time, we are still missing part of our order! He calls to let them know that for the second time, our order is incorrect and the lady who answered the phone hung up on him. My husband immediately called back and told them he would again be back for the correct food but he would like to be compensated for all this trouble - maybe partial refund for the incorrect food. He was told that they would give a discount the next time we order. Umm, no thanks! We are done ordering from this restaurant. There are other chinese restaurants in Airdrie Ill be more than happy to support, whom actually know what customer service is.

This was my first time here at this place and it was also my last. Ordered sweet n sour chicken and sesame chicken with steamed rice. The chicken was very dry and looked like it was microwaved. Very disappointing experience. Not a good place to go to if youre looking for fresh Chinese food.

Horrible wait time, it took 2 hours and yes i live in airdrie. I called after 1 and a half hours and they said it was in transit so unless they deliver via postal service thats a bit excessive. All things being said it was boxing day but just be upfront about how long times would be because picking up was an option and when called, again just tell the truth. Good food though

so my wife and i order from there tonight. the driver got lost as he was at wrong building. then 45 mins later he show up. my food was ice cold and when i called to ask for hot food. the lady told me she would just give me 10 percent off my next order im not going to order from there again

WORST SERVICE 4 times I have tried...4 times they have failed. I need to order off the menu.. cant do the buffet. Each time my husband is done eating a few plates off the buffet and each time I sit still waiting for them to take my order. Food tastes good... kept hoping it was just an off day for them... no... just consistently bad service. NEVER going back

Definitely not among the best chinese buffets but $8.95 for lunch is hard to beat. The food quality was subpar and the service was friendly but sparse. I will say it again though...a$20 bill for the two of us to have an AYCE lunch was worth it. I would come back.

Horrible buffet. Price is cheap but the owner (Chinese lady server) will get mad at you if you eat more than 3 plates of food or be there longer than 2 hours. Hey it is a buffet so if there is a limit, the store should post that right from the start. Super cheap and run down place.

If I could I wouldnt even give this place a star! Absolutely horrible food and service! The front attendee was extremely rude when I asked to see the food at the buffet first before sitting. She walks around with you to watch what you serve and the food itself tasted like it had been recycled for days. Its not fresh at all! Disgusting! Save your money

A small decent Chinese buffet restaurant. The lunch is really good value. The quality is very good for the price ( lunch was like 9 dollars, you cant really even just have a pho for 9 dollars now.) The deep fried items is pretty good , I really love their big chicken wings and the dry ribs. I think people will never regret going there.

For the price you pay its a great place to eat, the buffet is not the biggest but whats there is very good. Staff were friendly, will be going back again!

We ordered three dishes at 5:26pm. I was told one and a half hours. At this point there was a handful of people in the restaurant eating. I came back at 7:00. There was zero people in the restaurant eating and three people waiting for take out orders. People came and went while I waited. I finally walked out the door with my food at 7:47pm. TWO HOURS AND TWENTY ONE MINUTES! Theyre excuse was some people ordered this morning The only saving grace, and the reason I give 3 stars, is that the food was good. I tried really hard to hate the food and never want to go back, but this is the only decent Chinese restaurant in Airdrie. Next time we will most definitely be having the buffet to go instead of ordering out. Two thumbs up for the food. Two thumbs way, way down for the wait time.

Food is not that good anymore. People who answer the phone can barely speak English. They also have the tip option on the debit machine, and they taped over the option for no tip, which is not allowed.

Great Chinese buffet

Service was fine. The food was flavorless and the shrimp and peas dish in particular was ridiculous overpriced considering you get about 6 shrimp and a container full peas. Definitely wouldnt eat here again or recommend.

Food quality of the food has drastically gone done. I have gone and got the buffet to go a couple times and I find it very awkward that she stands and watches me dish up every time. Also they put tape over the tip option.. Dont think that is allowed and she told me I could only have the soup container that I paid for if I use it only for soup.. All in all not going back again.

Just saw a ladies dinner she had picked up from Here. DISGUSTING!!! Their breaded shrimp Was full of poop and the owner tried to brush it off as veins ( which clearly wasnt). Do not eat here ever again if you have already!!!

I am really surprised this place has a lower average rating than most of the other chinese food places in Airdrie. Their takeout is awesome. Yes, I can confirm that they did do their best to require a tip. But if you cant figure out to select the dollar amount and not put one... well thats on you. There is an expectation to tip in a restaurant environment, even in a buffet. The fix? Dont sit down there. They have one many two people running the front of the house. Isnt much seating for a reason. Id suggest getting takeout because there is probably an army of xiaolin monks running the kitchen. Food is usually ready before I can drive over there. 15 minutes is the average quote. They can make a 9 item meal faster than the train can cross vetrans. Pro tip: 5% off for paying debit and 5% off for cash on pick up orders. Also, if I had to say something bad, there is not usually a ton of people here, but there is a 100,000 people in line to pick up new years eve. So avoid doing that to yourself. I waited a long time two years ago... 5 to 6 hrs.

Pretty good Chinese food, but only come for the buffet at peak times.

Theres this mean lady crew who stared at us so sharply while we were getting food from the buffet as if we did not pay for it. Its an eat-all-you-can restaurant and we can get food as we desire but why are we being watched in a very bad way. I hope the management will look into this.

When it first opened my husband and I gave it a chance. I liked the Chop Suey and it was a place the kids would eat at too.The waitresses were really friendly and adorable.. but the sqauking always going on from the kitchen to the girls out front was a little unnerving. The cleanliness went downhill fast and the last time we went we used our cup of water to rinse our hands with our one napkin instead of braving the filth in the bathroom. Actually got sick and the waitress gave me 10%off.. no lie. Im surprised this place hasnt been shut down by a health inspector.. It is filthy.

Was the worst food I have ever had, dont eat here. Cashier asked how our meal was when we told her is was bad, she ask what dish and we told her all, and the vegetables were mush, she said I will pass it on to the cook, as if he/she cares if he/she put that terrible food out in the first place.

Throw a can of mixed vegetables and a couple of shrimp in some rice and call it special fried rice - yuck! Ginger beef tasted like the jar of honey garlic sauce you buy in the grocery store, it was edible. Deep fried wontons were good with the sweet and sour sauce. Chicken wings were not bad. Dumplings were too thick and doughy. Dont think Id order from here again.

This was the worst place I have ever eaten at. First of all the Food was GROSS. Noodles were DRY, ginger beef wasnt even ginger beef (dont know what sauce was on it) squid and shrimp were rubber and stinky. Drinks were all EXPIRED. (Feb 2015). Second the CLEANLINESS isnt even there. The buffet hasnt been wiped down, floors are FILTHY, bathrooms are not close to clean. The only reason I give it one star is because the minimum is one star, and the waitress was nice. Other then that I would rate this restaurant a 0

To start there wasnt a clean spot in the entire bathroom.... Service was bad, the lady who came in after us and ordered got her food first. The food was dissapointing at best, ginger beef seemed like deep fried batter and fat, the sweet and sour pork was full of fat and gristle... The chow mein was hard and crisp and clumped together. Turned off chinese food for a long time after this place

We went there for the buffet. This is a small restaurant, the choices in the buffet is limited but it tasted really good. I think because the place is smaller, the buffet get filled more often in smaller amount. The food tasted fresher than the usual big place buffet. I recommend and will definitely go back. Oh and the price was really affordable.

At win garden, you can enjoy the excellent quality, huge portion, and the cheapest chinese buffet in town !!! Come here everytime. Never be enough !!!

I took my grand daughter in there last Saturday for lunch, it was passable, considering the price, Have just come back from there for dinner 25th July, and it was absolute garbage! All the meat dishes smacked of cheap, deep fried in lots of batter, and well just gross, the saving grace was the steam veggies, oh and my grand daughter enjoyed the water melon...... Im sure if I went to a China town restaurant in Calgary, it would have been so much better. A clue, if you do not see too many Chinese in a Chinese restaurant, there is a reason. I have been to many Chinese restaurants in different countries, but this one has to be the most cheap and gross ever. What is the point of all you can eat, when the quality is crap, and I would settle for a set menu, with quality well cooked fare then a load of garbage. They may have managed an award from Airdrie city last year, but with the food we experienced they wouldnt WIN much. (Pun on the name)
