Excellent food and very welcoming restaurant!! I arrived on crutches because I broke my foot 2 weeks ago and the gentleman behind the counter, at the cash register, stopped what he was doing to come over and open the door! I was touched by his kind gesture and hospitality. I was also offered a seat in the dining area and a nice cold glass of water. Very nice people! I am celiac and all the food which I ordered was gluten-free, absolutely delicious, and very nutritious. I highly recommend their restaurant.
I reached out to the restaurant 2 days ago and haven’t heard back from the owner. I understand restaurants change chefs and sometimes things get missed however not hearing back from the owner clearly shows that they aren’t interested in improving their service and taking feedback. I’ve been ordering from Golden Cinnamon for the past two years however this last order was completely unsatisfactory. The Daal Makhani was watery, butter chicken and biryani had no spice or flavour even after requesting spicy and the chilli chicken was clearly rushed and not made properly; I unfortunately had to throw the whole dish out. I don’t like wasting food and made due with the other dishes but the chilli chicken was untouched by everyone. This is the only Indian restaurant I’ve ordered from for the past two years, I will no longer be giving them my business moving forward.
my recent visit to your restaurant today’s afternoon. While I appreciate the effort of your staff, I regret to say that my experience fell short of expectations in several areas: 1. Chicken Soup: The soup was satisfactory, although it did not match the exceptional quality I experienced on a previous visit. 2. Aaloo Gobi: It was acceptable, but lacked the flavors I had anticipated. 3. Masala Papad: The papad appeared stale and cold, reminiscent of previous-day leftovers. Additionally, the masala was unevenly distributed and seemed outdated. 4. Jeera Rice: I was surprised to find an excessive amount of turmeric and onions in the jeera rice, which deviated from the traditional preparation I expected. 5. Dal Tadka: Despite requesting no ghee tadka but accepting oil or butter, the dal tadka arrived devoid of any seasoning and was notably lacking in salt. While I understand that Monday afternoons may be quieter, I believe consistency in food quality and service is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction, regardless of the time or customer volume. I hope you will consider this feedback constructively to improve the overall dining experience for your patrons.
My wife and i came here first time. Amazing service and even more delicious food! We got both veg and non veg options and were absolutely loving our dishes. Our waitress Shreya was very sweet and helpful and provided excellent customer service. This is a clean and open atmosphere and a must try for indian food lovers! Our new favourite place!
We gave them 5 stars for everything, good food, good service and the restaurant is really clean. We tried different Indian Restaurants here in Airdrie, This is the best so far. Food tastes Authentic. Simran is a great server, she took good care of us and keep coming and ask, if we need anything else. Thanks for the Owner and the Chef, who came and checked, if everything is good.
The food was SPECTACULAR! I LOVE good Indian food! Everything was spiced to perfection for us(they asked us our preferred level) and appies and main dishes where spaced out beautifully. I am so picky about my Indian Food and they met all of my favourite food expectations! The service was so amazing too. We were also impressed with the price point. I am excited to go back and try some of their desserts! This will be a regular place for us to go!
Me and my wife had to wait 5 minutes to order food and five minutes to ask for the bill and we were the only table in the restaurant... The server was sitting in the kitchen and she only comes out when the door open... the food used to be really good, but today it was cold and without any flavour... we used to love this place and we had an old review with five stars, but after today we wont come back to this place and we wont recommend it to anyone.

I recently had the pleasure of ordering catering from Golden Cinnamon for my son s graduation party, and I can t recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. The food was exceptional and each dish was bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. We served a variety of appetizers, main courses, and desserts, and every guest raved about the quality. Abinav (Owner) was incredibly accommodating and professional. He helped us plan the menu, considering dietary and flavour restrictions, and ensured everything was delivered in food warmers on time. Overall, Golden Cinnamon Indian Cuisine made my sons graduation party a memorable occasion. If you re looking for delicious Indian cuisine for an event, look no further! I dont know which direction is this restaurant headed to, used to be one of the good Indian food restaurant in Airdrie but last two experiences has been very disappointing. I ordered Paneer lababdar and it was literally tasteless. I literally ate my roti with pickle at home because the sabji was nothing but pieces of paneer in tasteless uncooked gravey. Vegetarian options: Very bad, dont know what is going on with the chef.

I have been coming to this restaurant for three years now and I can confidently say it has remained the best Indian place not only in Airdrie, but all of Alberta. The food is always excellent, the portions have never really shrunk and the flavours have stayed the same! All the spice levels are great too! Sometimes the wait can be a bit longer than you d expect but i ve never had an issue with that due to how good the final product is! I would highly recommend this place to anyone, to this day I have not found anywhere better!

This has got to be my new favorite Indian restaurant. The flavors and spices in these dishes are incredible!! And the price is reasonable. We had the Butter Chicken and the Spring Tikka Masala and highly recommend.

My wife and I stopped in for our date night last night around 4:45PM. Weve dined in once before, and have had takeout many times since Golden Cinnamon opened. We ordered a literal smorgasbord of food for just the two of us knowing how good even the leftovers are. For what we paid, we will have another two full meals to eat at home. The chicken curry was exceptional. The Aloo Gobi (my personal favourite) was on point last night. We also ordered the baingan bharta for the first time having tried it at another restaurant and I must say Golden Cinnamons was WAY better. The team working there was incredible too. We were seated immediately. Our order was taken shortly after, and our food was prepared hot and fresh within 10 minutes. They came to ask how it was after we had taken a few bites. They are very very attentive and quite pleasant. If you havent tried Golden Cinnamon yet, I highly recommend checking them out. I guarantee you will not regret it.

We came to the restaurant last night with friends. The food is absolutely amazing and full of flavour, but unfortunately the service doesn t match it. The young lady serving us struggled to understand our order and then the curry arrived, rice 5 minutes later and naan breads another 5 minutes after that. Once we d eaten we had to find our waitress for the bill, not impressive. I d recommend take out.

Ordered our food and asked for it to be delivered. We were told 20-40 minutes. Fine..seems fair. After almost an hour and nothing. Called back and the person who answered the phone said we didn t ask for delivery. She then said she would send it out right away. My husband asked if it would still be hot and was told that yes it will. Keep in mind we live probably 7 minutes from the location. Another 15 minutes goes buy and finally the food arrives COLD! Portions were small and mainly sauce , hardly any protein. Save yourself the trouble and order elsewhere. This wasn t a first for us but the final straw. Super disappointed

Amazing! Heard great things about this new restaurant so we ordered the chicken Tikka masala, veggie pulao, and samosas. Plenty for us to feel satisfied. Even as for take out, the presentation was beautiful, the chicken was tender! They even called me about an hour later and checked up to make sure we enjoyed the meal! Will definitely return!
Not sure how this place has such a high rating with such poor service and a website that doesn t work. Placed a pick up order on their official website with a pick up time over an hour later than when the order was placed. Went to pick up my food. Stood at the entrance while the worker messed around with some receipts. Guy didn t understand I was there to pick up an order so he waited for another worker to come to the front. I showed her my order confirmation to which she replied yeah, the website doesn t actually work to place orders. No apology for the inconvenience or wasted time. Then said they could have my order ready in five minutes so the food is not even being cooked fresh.

The best Indian restaurant, in the entire Calgary region, not just Airdrie. These guys understand the flavours so well. They don t do a template based version of their dishes. They actually listen to you and customise the order accordingly . Haven t had better goat curry anywhere else. Attention to detail and customer service here is truly commendable.

Ordered off of Door Dash. First off, what they do to package it for delivery keep it warm and fresh for a very long time. For a first try I am amazed. Some of the best Naan bread I have ever had and the butter chicken had me more than satisfied. Im excited to go there in person soon.

Been going to this place around since it opened! By far the best Indian restaurant ive been to, cant go anywhere else. The portions are filling and generous, amazing quality every time. WOW. I have tried dozens of Indian places in various cities and I think this one just topped them all!!! So impressed, everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The chef came our and asked about our desired spice level and then delivered just the perfect amount for our taste. For apetizers we had the veggie samosas, and the veggie, prawn and paneer pakodas. The shrimp was cooked flawlessly. For mains we had butter chicken, aloo gobi, kadai paneer, chicken tikki masala, basmati rice & garlic cilantro naan. Everything stood out as being exceptional! My personal favorites were the kadai and naan. I recently tried their competitor, Gate of India, and while they were also good, this is a clear winner. Will definitely be back, a local business worth supporting whether youre from Airdrie or not!
Just a FABULOUS dine in evening ! We ordered several appetizers to start. The vegetable somosas were delicious , as were the vegetable pakodas & shrimp pakodas. Everything was perfectly cooked & spiced !! I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala & Basmati Rice. Again, large quantity for the price, & amazing flavour. The waitress was super attentive & friendly. The cook even came out to offer suggestions on what main dishes we would enjoy. The restaurant was very clean. I will definitely be back for more. The portion size of the food was disappointingly small, and my order was incomplete as one item was missing. When I contacted them to address this issue, the response from the staff member was discourteous and dismissive, claiming that no mistake had been made in the order.

Poor cx service! There timing shows 10 pm closing time. I just called now at 9:45 pm to place a take out order and lady on the line said let me check I believe we are closed. She checked with the guy at the back end asked the guy should I take the order or not. She should have at least put me on the mute while she is having that conversation. And then after speaking to that guy she said we are closed. They should correct there timing online that they are closing 9:45.

We drive from Calgary regularly to have the lunch special which gives us a variety of delicious dishes at a reasonable price. My wife especially likes the generous serving of naan bread that we get. The sweets in the cooler are also tasty and I usually get a dozen of them to go. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking: Plenty of free parking right next to the door.

My wife just ordered some takeout food. As we are staying in hotel we ordered some veg. Noodles for our 6 years Old. My wife mentioned twice. Noodles should be non spicy . The food we received veg. Noodles was so spicy He cant eat more than one bite. I dont know who is taking those orders, and how its being communicated to kitchen. Please, do some more training for your staff. And try to listen before replying.

Ordered couple of chicken dishes for take out, gravy was nice but the chicken pieces were so dry.
Ordered Dal and chicken biriyani for myself and gulab jamun and samosas for my son. Amazing flavors and husband ended up eating with me and he was blown away. So yummy. Warning, if you bring your child to pick up food with you the staff will hand out lots of candies hahaha I cant wait to order again and again.

The food wasnt very good nor was it a good value. Mostly you just get a ton of cream sauce, barely any peices of paneer or meat to be found in the curries. The pakoras I was given were stale and dry and hard to eat. The shahi paneer wasnt good which was a let down, I was expecting a rich flavourful creamy tomato curry, there was no tomato taste and was missing flavours.
Ordered via skip, curry I got was pretty good. I hate leaving negative comments because I know every restaurant is fighting hard for their share and are likely trying hard, but the kebabs I ordered were an absolute rip off. Over priced (partially to blame via skip), small portion and dry as hell. $19 for the food show in the pic. I would try this restaurant again for the curry but never for the tandoor items.

This was the most expensive take out I have done for an order of Naans. It was more disappointing to see that 5 out of 10 Naans were burnt. This is after I told the server on the phone (when placing the order), that the Naans should not be well done or burnt. This was my & first last time at this restaurant.
