Dined in the restaurant a few times and the food has been lovely.just orderd a delivery online and was so disappointed food was cold bland and the parmesan chips were inedible mush £30 wasted wont be ordering again.

Fantastic food, and great staff

Food poisoning.I ve been up all night with sickness and diarrhea because I eat out of this place.I got Scottish muscles and spaghetti with chicken and mushrooms.They told me there was nothing they could do about it.I would have to prove that it came from this restaurant and confirm it by a doctor.I ve eat out of here before and it was great but not this time.Absolutely gob smacked there is nothing they can do.This restaurant gave me food poisoning and obviously I will never recommend it.

Was OK, neither bad nor good. Ordered Pate which came with just a slice of toasted normal bread ......bit strange! Tasted ok . Bruschetta was good (friends order) . Mains were SpagBol and maceroni.....hardly any mince with spag bol and was laden with Chilli ,.....friend says mac was ok. Bill was £35 for 2 courses with 3 soft drinks and a side which is very reasonable . I wont hurry back but if i am ever in Airdrie again and hungry then I might try again. Restaurant was clean and staff were attentive.

From the starter to the desert it was brilliant the soup was amazing and the meatballs was to die and the sticky toffee pudding and the sever grace was nice and funny

Great food and service. But! Ordered a pizza to go after a sit in meal. And it wasn t sliced / cut. So, trying to share a large round piece of dough between 3 of us with no available cutlery. Annoying

Had the turkey dinner which consisted of cold vegetables and sliced turkey which was like sandwich meat with cold gravy. The patè was served on a cold slice of toasted bread instead of oat cakes. Very disappointed

Food was lovely, wine was beautiful but asked if we could have a break before dessert then to have a young waitress come up and tell us to leave asap as table was booked was very unprofessional. Then to remove our wine (who knows how much was left in the bottle) but it no longer belongs to you!! I m sure if more effort is put into staff training and how to treat the customer it will be a 5 out of 5

What a treat this place was! A random walk in that didnt look like much from the outside but was really impressive, one of the nicest meals Ive had in a long time. Staff were lovely and the food was excellent.

The carbonara was really good but the starter was awful

The food was delicious and the service very nice and attentive. Thanks a lot for the great lunch. We had the diavolo pizza, carbonara pasta and a kid s Margarita and a kids burger. It was a positive surprise that even the burger was self made. We will certainly come back.

Were from Hamilton and found this place by accident on Saturday 22nd July decided to give it a try, we were in with our granddaughter and staff were very friendly, we got a starter and main meal each, very well priced, food was absolutely excellent, couldnt fault any of it, will definitely be back, so all in all a great find for us

Best Italian in Airdrie

Called in for lunch and found it quiet but with a lovely atmosphere. I ordered pollo le pepe. Delish, great sauce. Topped it off with a couple of glasses of Prosecco. My partner had the sea bass and vegetables, and this also came with a lovely sauce. We were in for two hours, and it started getting busy around 2 pm. Roxy took our photo. Thoroughly recommend it.

It was our daughters 30th birthday treat , but what a let down . On the whole the food was good , 5 starters and 6 mains , the breaded chicken though was like a piece of leather in breadcrumbs , the other 5 were good . Then we were informed that they needed the table in 15 mins ! So no time for a dessert , then the bill came with 2 totals 1 with 10% service charge and 1 without . We wouldnt have had 6 desserts but probably 3 at least , so on the whole theyve lost at least another £50 and customers for good as we wont be back !

First class, great food, big portions, and top atmosphere.

Get takeaways from here quite often and never had any complaints. Penne contadina is superb. Pizzas also lovely. Delivery always fairly prompt with friendly drivers. Food also arrives warm.

Ordered myself a Frutti Di Mare pizza for delivery on Saturday evening. My food arrived ahead of schedule and was still piping hot. I was hopeful but was delighted as the food far exceeded my expectations, outstanding . The prices may seem a bit steep but in this case, you definitely get what you pay for and worth it. The Pizza chef deserves a big high 5 . I ll definitely be returning. See you soon

Christmas dinner booking £70 per head for pre ordered menu paid in advanced . Party reduced by 1 due to medical issue not covid related. Staff were contacted and notified. On arrival table set for number of the original booking. Apparently cancellations were non refundable. Very convenient during a pandemic. This was explained in the day by elf on the shelf manager. Meal was like the manager cold and underwhelming and left a foul taste in your mouth. Got to look on the bright side at least the chef could finish early as he had one less meal to reheat in the microwave.

Great host, the Portuguese guy. Nice small place with good quality food. Friends enjoyed the large prawns n mussels starter. The Il Capo burger is big and filling and the bun it comes in is nt soggy or break apart. Onion rings are massive and great batter. Sea bass looked superb as well as carbonara.Fab food and will go back, reasonable prices.

First class!! Had an excellent meal from outstanding staff for my friends birthday yesterday.

Went for a meal here with my partner, staff are so friendly and polite. The meals we ordered were really first class, portions were a very good size, well cooked and so tasty. Prices were fair for the quality of the food. First time here but it will not be the last. I recommend this for a good meal and night out.

Food is delicious, flavorful and fresh. Portions are very big. The starter can be divided into two people. You wont leave hungry from this place. I sincerely recommend.

Just phoned to try and book a table for 12 for 40th wedding anniversary. Got a really abrupt and not very pleasant response. Fully booked and just hung up. Wont ever be going there!

Incredible food and service. My new favorite restaurant! We went here for my father s birthday last night expecting it to be a normal Italian restaurant. It is not normal, but is far better than any Italian restaurant that I ve ever eaten at. The prices are reasonable, but the food is better than restaurants that cost 3 or 4 times as much. The staff members are all super cool and you can tell that they are passionate about the food. We had the sea bass, mullet, and chicken, and they were all exceptional. You absolutely have to try their mozzarella bread with their perfectly spiced olive oil. Seriously, take my word for it. We didn t realize that you need a reservation, and we were lucky to get in, so make sure you call ahead and get a reservation. This is definitely a must-do if you are anywhere close to the area. Many thanks to the Il Capo staff for making last night amazing!

Sat in what looks like an annex had to walk past the kitchen and open bin to get there and starters were nice but pasta was soggy mess wont be back

Very dissatisfied with quality and quantity of food delivered. Called to collect, was told sorry no,only order through Just Eat, and then charged 3.00 delivery,and 50p service charge, Absolutely overpriced in every aspect. Asked for penne arrabiata with chicken, and no chicken in carton, this is why I prefer to collect, and dont understand why we cant. Overall order came to 30.00 inclusive of delivery for two. Food was bland, probably due to not having the chicken i requested, and to be spicy, also had a portion of chips was a very small carton for 2 people in my opinion. I have visited restaurant on many occasions,but will never order for take away. For this money I will get better value elsewhere.. Thanks for the Limited response to my original complaint,however you never answered any of my initial questions of why I cannot collect? Why such a high delivery?, and why a service charge?. And why is quantity and quality of food poor? I have supported most local restaurants throughout the pandemic, but I am now forever seeing an increase in additional costs, which is very poor, and will push people to stop using local restaurants. Has covid made the quality and quantity poor?. No. But its simply a way of recouping more and more profit from the consumer. I actually rave about this restaurant as being one of the best in the Region,and sent many friends to the establishment. As a customer, I expect value for money,and promote places I visit, will this experience stop me from visiting?, No, but I am making you aware that your delivery process is not simply good enough,hence I said I will never order again, your response saying I will send you another section of a meal is below my expectations, as for me the meal was ruined as both me and my partner were so dissatisfied with what we received as a meal from your restaurant. I loved it.i havnt been in for a long time.Just one problem that hurt me.

Visited on a sat evening, it was busy when we went in about 7.30 but was empty about 9.30 and think we were the last to leave. Mussels as a starter were great but main was only ok, pasta was a wee bit mushy as was the chicken. The staff were very attentive and my wife says that her cocktails were great.

The menu is fantastic but the food, the service & prices are perfect. Airdrie has needed a nice Italian restaurant for a long time and now we have a venue worthy of great appreciation.

There was 11 of us at a family dinner tonight & we all had an amazing time. The girls serving us were first class, so friendly & took such good care of us. The food was delicious & everyone loved it. Cocktails were delicious too & there was such a great atmosphere. Everyone who worked there were so friendly & can t recommend Il Capo highly enough.

My friends brought me here on Saturday night for my 40th birthday dinner. My fave restaurant, Guidis, being unavailable :( they booked here as I d been before pre-covid and enjoyed lunch. At 6pm we were on our way when a man called my friend to check we were still coming because he needed the table back for 8pm!! This was first we knew if this. On a Saturday night so there goes our idea of dinner and drinks/cocktails for the evening. Arrived approx 20 mins late seated and placed order. Food was nice (not guidis) but lovely all same. And a lot more expensive than guidis!!! My carbonara was bland, oily and sauce had separated from the pasta. My chicken Milanese looked like a special fish from chippy!! We were rushed through full meal. Asked at quarter to 8 if we had time for dessert. The waitress says yes but the boy (manager) was stood at pass tapping his watch at her. I could see this but my friends couldn t. I stated dessert didn t matter as we didn t want to feel even more rushed. We were offered a seat upstairs to finish our drinks but then this was recanted as the tables were now taken so had to leave!!! The waitress encouraged us to take bottle wine and my friend who had a glass merlot was also encouraging her to take a bottle which is odd if there not even time for 3 courses. My friend went to speak to the manager. As from the phone conversation till now his manner wasn t friendly at all. At no point was he apologetic or understanding about the situation and that it s important to tell anyone at time of booking if there is a time slot. This is understanding at xmas, Mother s Day even Easter Sunday etc. but a Saturday night?? An authentic Italian restaurant allows for wine to be enjoyed with your meal, not being rushed and allowing for even a coffee at end of meal. This isn t the case here. It s a cattle market of getting as many people in and out taking money and patting himself on back! Upon us paying the bill he came to table to say he d taken the bottle of wine off bill and proceeded to lift the bottle from the wine cooler to check that it wasn t empty!! Also at this point he proceeded to state it wasn t fair on HIM that we were seeing his point of view!!! The cheek £160 for 2 courses rushed and we are supposed to listen to his sob story Point is this. When running a restaurant and busier than usual due to other places being closed you must take variables into account. People run late for a variety of reasons. Doesn t mean they deserve any less attention and good service. Other things may also happen like food taking longer to come out of kitchen, food being returned (because my friends medium steak was slightly over done but she ate it anyway as we were being reasonable about time) however if it was sent back we would still have been eating at 8pm! People eat out esp since covid to catch up, chat, enjoy company, good food and wine. Not to be told eat up and get out!! 2 hour time slots reminds you of covid days and everyone is done with that carry on. Think of guest experience, return custom and good recommendations than just packing as many as you can. Manager needs better customer service training as it could have been managed much better where we still left at 8pm but happy. Seems more of a situation where daddy bought him a restaurant and let him play at cafes

Lovely atmosphere and one of the most Coeliac friendly restaurants that Ive found since my return to Scotland. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free pasta in addition to other GF options and the chef even offered to prepare a different sauce so that I could have my original choice because the sauce.on the menu wasnt gluten free.

Excellent place, being coming here over the past year and had our sons first communion meal here with the family. Food is always great, service is very friendly and professional and great relaxed dining experience lunch or dinner. Highly recommended

Booked for a friends birthday, service was excellent, food fantastic, atmosphere great and staff were very attentive. We have been to IL Capo before lock down and had the same service then. Will definitely be back .

Unsure if the restaurant has changed ownership since we last visited . Service was great, starters were tasty. Mains was a Capo burger. And steak tagliatelle. Burger was delicious however the chicken that in the burger had a very weird taste and was like leather to the point I tasted it and had to spit it out. My tagliatelle had a taste of liquid detergent and was far too spicy. We complained about the chicken and the waitress returned and informed us it was fresh and had been chargrilled We then had desserts which were amazing and 2 coffees. I had a liqueur coffee and my husband a flat white. The coffees were like dishwater. When the waiter asked if we had enjoyed out coffees I replied no. He apologised . A final bill of £86 which included, starters , 2 wines, 2 cokes , mains and desserts which is in par with other restaurants . We wont return though. Lovely atmosphere but the food wasnt up to scratch .

Food was excellent. We had the lunch menu and it had everything on it that we would normally order. The service was very good also. The only thing I would say we werent asked for our details for test and protect but all in all a very pleasant lunch. We will be back.

Tasty food, obviously have very good chef. A good place for a quiet meal during the week. Good to hear relaxing background music thats appropriate to dining. Apparently at the weekend its a bit more lively and heard they serve great after dinner cocktails. Recommended

Friendly, helpful, nice ambience and best of all lovely Italian cooking with good gf options. Lets face it, we can all cook pasta and throw it in a sauce of some kind; so to be given a sauce where you wonder what the flavours are and how they cooked it and know it didnt come out of a jar, then its worth paying for. I had risotto: flavoursome, creamy and the rice perfect; I could not have achieved that at home. And beautifully presented. Ill be back!

Lovely restaurant, good food and friendly polite service. Staff were struggling with the number of customers, but when more staff arrived things improved. The food was a bit heavy on spices for a traditional Italian menu. I suggest they stick to the chilli and spices for recipes that actually require them.
