I have been here a couple times, the beef and potato taco is amazing and so is the guac. The thing I have an issue with is that I asked for a glass of tap water and was told they dont serve tap water? So my option was to buy a bottle of water for $1? So I ordered a pop. Which I was served in a can, with a glass full of ice on the side. Make it make sense. I would strongly urge the owners to provide tap water to their guests. It really put me off wanting to return just out of principle.

Just ate for the first time. One of the best meals Ive ever had. Certainly the very best Mexican. Very reasonable pricing. Excellent staff are very friendly and fast. So happy to have this place in Airdrie.

Best taco Ive had outside of Mexico. I had the volcano tacos, and my wife had the enchiladas Verdes. Next time Im in Airdrie, Ill be back. Well worth the stop!

The food was alright, came hot. Very filling. Service was substandard. Good to start then, I was pretty much ignored and had to get someones attention to pay and leave despite pretty much being in the servers path. Probably wont be returning.

This has to rank among some of the best tacos Ive ever had. This comparison is against larger foodie cities and some local taco stands in mexico.

We explained there was a severe allergy.. they completely ignored the fact. My mother had to leave the restaurant having an allergic reaction.. the service was horrible. My meal was to be honest gross. It tasted like the beans or something were rotten. I explained that and nothing was done. We had to ask for plates.. like horrible horrible experience. Would avoid this place at all cost!

Went in for lunch and somehow ended up paying for someone else s bill plus my bill. They refunded for the bill but not the tip. They would not refund the tip so I could give the proper amount on the bill but instead kept the tip on the bigger bill. Servers were not apologetic one bit about it. Usually good but very disappointed this time around and still waiting for my refund to come through.

Fantastic authentic Mexican food in the heart of Airdrie!! Staff were amazing and we had several people check to make sure our order had been taken while waiting for drinks to come!! If youre looking for a great place to eat in Airdrie do yourself a favor and stop at Tequila & Tacos!

This restaurant never disappoints! It has become one of my favourite places to eat out in Airdrie.

I have no idea how this has a high rating!! The food definitely was not authentic at all. More like microwaved dinner style. The lemonade was absolutely atrocious. The tamales and tacos were not worth the price at all. Not to mention There were tons of wasps inside the restaurant. I ve gone too many Mexican places and this is not one I will return to. $80 for three things. Not worth it.

A group of us went for a pub crawl and we should have let them know in advance that there was going to be a big group of us BUT they handled it well! We had great food, great drinks and good laughs!

Not sure why this place has such high rating! Maybe yes, for the drinks. But food wise, definitely not! Queso was hard and seems like someone microwave it to try to make it somewhat warm. Rest of the food have no flavour not even seasoned with salt and pepper. Sorry not worth the dollars! I will say staff is great and patio is cool for drinks! But keep it to a liquid diet!

Perfect little gem! Tamales were fantastic beef birria was spot on and breakfast enchiladas had great flavor and portion sizes . Staff are very accomodating and the atmosphere is great, beautifully decorations and music

Im not one for complaining But this is beyond disappointing Chilli Releno The presentation is speechless for 26.00. Maybe you get more dining in but to take out, not again. I wanted to post a picture but I dont have the option.

As someone who grew up minutes from the Mexico border, I have always been a huge fan of Mexican food. This joint hit all the right buttons for me. The Tacos de Costilla that I had were amazing. Wonderful flavor that instantly brought me back to my childhood. Highly recommend this place if youre in the mood for some great Mexican fare. *Update* Wife and I took our daughters here tonight. Went inside to sit down and eat. We were sat within 5 minutes at a table. And then the staff literally offered us nothing. We waited and waited for approximately 15 minutes and the staff just kept walking by. One staff member was at the register, looked right at us, then proceeded to answer the phone a minute later. We decided to leave at that point. Really disappointed as we have always had good service here until tonight. 1 Star on service. As we had no food, Ive left it at 5 stars due to our previous visits. Really disappointed

Fantastic authentic Mexican restaurant, reasonably priced and excellent food!

Unfortunately, our date night at Tequila and Tacos was ruined due to a poor dining experience. We ordered a variety of dishes, but my partners plate arrived with not one, but three different hairs black and short, a light hair, and another. When we politely asked for a new dish, the manager came out, shockingly blaming us for the issue, even showing one of the hairs, because i am blonde, as if it were proof. It was confusing and frustrating, especially since the hairs clearly didn t belong to us and in there cameras i never came in contact with the plate. To make matters worse, my partner felt so sick from the unsanitary food that he ended up vomiting in the bathroom. We requested the dish be voided due to the distress it caused, but the situation left us deeply disappointed with the service and food hygiene. Sadly, it turned what should have been a great night into a very unpleasant experience.

This is hands down my favourite spot in Airdrie to eat and the most incredible tacos I have ever had!! I come here very (very) frequently, and when I m not here I think about coming here. The service is wonderful and everyone is so nice and the food comes so quickly. Seriously the best food. I love it here!!!! Highly recommend.

Great menu and food

Food and drinks were amazing although a little pricey still enjoyed. Service from the white blonde lady was horrible. Asked if she was new and she said no. You need to learn how to take orders and check with the table. We would have ordered more drinks but she wasnt interested. Thats why you received a $0 tip on a $250 bill normally we would have tipped out atleast $60

Fantastic food. The owner came by and asked us how our meal was. I had the fish tacos and they were delicious! As well, the mock-tails were terrific for those people who want non-alcoholic choices like me thank you.

This place is a hidden gem. We have been in Airdrie for years but this is the first time we have ventured to try out Tequila and Tacos. Micheladas (Ojo Rojo s) are out of this world! Brought me right back to the resort (actually better than the resort). Tacos and soups were amazing. We will be back! Service was outstanding.

This place is a 10 out of 10 from the minute we walked in the door. The greeter was so friendly and sat us right away. The food was incredible. We had the choriqueso, the carnitas and the pastor! The drinks were incredible , best margarita I ve had in and around Calgary! The music and the decor really makes you feel like you re in Mexico. This is definitely added to our date night roster.

Amazing tacos! The flavor was perfect on everything we tried and their hot sauces are amazing as well. The churros are also delicious!

came here at 6:30 pm on a sunday. there was plenty of parking outside and i believe only 2-3 other parties when we arrived. they easily accommodated our party of 8! i tried the choriqueso which was so delicious and cheesy and hot!! highly recommend. it s great for sharing. for dessert i had the tres leches cake and WOW it was light yet flavourful and not too sweet! i did think it was strange that for water they only offer bottled water. although the server told me they wouldn t charge for it when i asked for tap water instead, it s an unnecessary waste of plastic that i usually try to avoid. i saw other reviews mention they were charged so i m not sure if they normally do or not. we were never rushed out even when we were done eating and i would recommend everyone to try it out if you get the chance! will definitely be back!

Tried it for the second time 3 years later and outcome was the same. Save to say, its fine. Canned pineapple in the tacos is a bit disappointing. Fresh, in season ingredients would be a big improvement. Atmosphere is good, wait staff are very young but friendly and attentive. Price seems a bit high for 3 tacos.

This place is amazing! The food was so, so good and it was super quick actually. Our server was not that great and didnt look happy to be there but I think that must have been an off day because everyone else who helped us was great! We did find it strange however, that we had to order a bottle of water and couldnt be served tap water lol. But all around great place. I will be back!

The staff werent very friendly, the tacos werent very good, and the $7 homemade cup of mushroom soup was from a can of Campbells. The salsa and guacamole are served in takeout containers. We were excited to have a tasty experience, but left very disappointed. The chimichanga was quite good (served with rice that wasnt good at all). I dont like leaving negative reviews but this place really needs to improve.

When someone asks me where is the best Mexican food in Calgary, I say its in Airdrie. This place even had menudo! I think it was just a holiday special but still! If you know what Im talking about then you really know Mexican food and this is the place! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Weve been going to Tequila & Tacos since they were in the Horseman Hotel. I was sad when I thought they shut down and thrilled to find out they had moved. Always delicious. Great menu options and very filling meals.

Our food was ok. The nachos were good, the fried jalapenos were tasty. Our meat was over cooked and bland compared to the other Pastor weve had. Churros were under cooked. Bottled water?? Service was not attentive. Very expensive for the quality.

I ve tried every Mexican place in Calgary, And nothing comes close to this landmark of a restaurant here in Airdrie. Tequila and tacos delivers on every level. I ve never had a bad experience here, and I ve ordered as many things as I could ve off the menu. The staff is polite, and the food is as consistent as a Rolex. Because their food is so good they can get very very busy at times so it is best to make a reservation for evenings and weekends

Walking in we thought this would be authentic food and drinks, but it was terrible! Service was unfriendly and when I asked if my dish came with pico she said tomato onion and peppers, which meant all fried together and slopped onto a tortilla. The margarita was fake lime juice, worst marg I have ever had (Sorso makes the best!!!) My friend ordered a meat dish and ended up with FOOD POISONING. Not a lot of veggie options and NO vegan options at all. Will not return.

We love this place enough to make a special trip anytime we are remotely close to Calgary. This time we built it into our return from Edmonton. The food is so good, reasonably priced, and the servers are great. And the food is so good! My Mexican husband will often avoid going to Mexican restaurants because he can make it better. Not here. He is the one begging to go. The only negative is having to pick. Its such a challenge to know which delicious dish to choose this time.

My original spot for birria tacos is apparently temporarily closed I ve been craving them for so long so I decided to give this place a try! 5/5!!! Maybe it s my new birria taco spot?? :) Oh! And the ladies bathroom has a whole change table set up - makes it a great family restaurant. One time I went to a restaurant that had no change table, I was told to change my baby on the floor! So this little touch made it mommy approved!

Tried this place while visiting Airdrie because it had positive reviews. The drinks were very tasty (I tried the Pina Colada and a Margarita) but unfortunately the food was subpar. Meat was tough and overcooked, everything was lacking in flavor and spice. Our server seemed like she wanted to get us out of the restaurant ASAP. No check-ins, no offering drinks once we had finished ours, and you have to pay for water because they only serve it bottled (?) which just seems like a ripoff - I mean, its WATER. The patio was nice and offered an excellent view.

Food was okay. Tasty but Small portions - ordered nachos, there were 6 chips and 2 jalapeños pepper pieces. Service not so good. You take one bite of food, someone comes over and asks if it s okay, take another bite, someone comes and asks on the other side. We had 7 people ask if our meal was okay. Blonde lady seemed really grumpy and was pretty rude when bringing the bill. Refused to take cash, only card.

Unfortunately, I did not take pics but will be back to try some other items on the menu. Friendly servers. The Margaritas were not that great but it did the job. My friends loved the food and honestly it was pretty good. I believe they used Store bought tortillas, perhaps can beans. Overall not to authentic but close enough. The best I ve had so far. To be honest our first experience wasn t the greatest our server completely forgot to enter our order. So it took a really long time to get our food. The server was apologetic and kept offering free stuff to make up for it. We felt that we didn t need more food and drinks but rather a discount on what we had already ordered would have been a appropriate(but that was not offered) When the food finally came it was amazing so we gave the poor service a pass this time. Our second visit was awesome. The food, drinks and service were all great.

We were disappointed with our delivery order tonight. Guacamole wasn t available, food was very bland, prices were high, and serving sizes weren t large enough. We ordered fish tacos. The tacos were tiny, bland, had very little filling, and had dried out chicken - instead of fish. They would have tasted better with fish, cilantro, a bit of guacamole, wedge of lime, and flavoured mayonnaise. They were expensive, tiny, and had no flavour. The burrito with beef, was suppose to have beef and cheese, but was mostly a flour shell, with some beans. Couldn t find any cheese, and it had very little beef. The side of rice was good. The fajitas has no flavour. The beef and vegetables needed to be grilled, so they had a nice caramelized flavour. It also needed condiments - pico, guacamole, sour cream, and a lime wedge, would have been nice. We also ordered nachos with pico. There were 3 of us. The bag of nachos was tiny - we each got 3 or 4 nachos. The pico was bland. Some lime juice in the pico would bring out the flavour, and a little bit of hot sauce in it, would help. We don t like spicy, but everything needed more flavour.

We had a fantastic meal with our friends here. We all started off with margaritas and pina coladas and everyone s was delicious. Our meals were very tasty as well. I had a steak platter and my wife had the burrito with fries. The fries were great and my wife really enjoyed the burrito, while my steak platter was so good as well. The only hiccup was that they forgot the green sauce on my wife s burrito and we got charged for it, but we enjoyed our meal so much that we didn t care and didn t bring it up. We would definitely go back here again.

Wow this place wasnt what I thought it would be ... I ordered the burrito in red sauce with chorizo....everything was bland and tasteless...there was nothing distinctive about the flavor profile ...under seasoned completely and not cheap ...staff was ok and it was clean ...but I swear taco bell has more flavor than this place ....bland city...wont be back ever again

Wait staff was impatient and didn t listen to directions, food was no where near the value. $250 for 5 people to eat, 2 appetizers and 5 mains. The portions were incredibly small and when we complained to the manager he said it was due to inflation, but yet I can go to Walmart and buy a bag of tortilla chips a can of refried beans and some shredded cheese for $10 and make 5 plates but apparently $20-$30 is acceptable when times are tough I can tell you I will never be coming back and I only advise people to go here if you like being ripped off buying small okay tasting food.

Good chips and dip, but the taco meat definitely TASTED reheated and sour. I couldnt get down the 3rd of three and left it behind. I think the prep process needs some help. I apologize for not saying anything at the moment but I genuinely was not expecting poor quality.

Love the new location and the best authentic Mexican food Ive had.

Service was good. Drinks were great. My meal was good. My wifes meal gave her food poisoning. Which was a shame being that it was a birthday meal for her. Called to report to the restaurant the next day, they didnt seem to think it was food poisoning but would pass the feedback along to the cook. That was the end of it sadly.

I m a huge Caesar fan and a fan of tequila but I didn t like their specialty Caesar unfortunately. Server was drinking a beer at the bar paying no attention so we went up and paid the bartender. I m giving it four stars still because I bet their food is amazing and I didn t have a chance to try it

A fantastic spot for great Mexican grub! I came here with a group for friends birthday and I know I will be back. First off, the service for our large group was top notch. They were very accommodating and managed to keep everyones orders in line and on time. The drinks were good with the standout being the cantarito. Citrus, tequilla and a spicy rim served in a little clay pot. The food was really the star of the night though...it is outstanding. I went with the beef tongue tacos and they were everything you want. Tender, flavorful and with a couple hits of their homemade salsas, these are some of the best tacos Ive had. The birra tacos were also pretty spot on. I am a massive tres leches fan and this place makes a stellar one. Overall a wonderful experience that already has me planning my next trip back.

Ordered the enmoladas and beef tongue tacos. Both tasted quite good. Beef tongue was nice and tender and the hot sauce had a nice kick to it. The enmoladas were chicken-based and moist and the mole sauce was nice. Both dishes were of average size. I would have preferred being able to mix and match the tacos as there was a large variety to choose from. Water only seems to come in bottles. Service was quick and efficient. Server offered suggestions and information on the dishes and was quite helpful. Room was bright and lightly decorated. The restaurant is located in a strip mall so theres plenty of free parking. Would stop by again if Im in Airdrie.

Snagged a seat in the back overlooking the water. Perused the GARGANTUAN drinks menu and chatted with the friendly servers. Was not expecting to come across such an expansive menu and relaxing scenery when we walked in. The washrooms are beautifully decorated and maintained. The churros were piping hot and finger lickingly delectable. We are already thinking of excuses to drive out here again and bring back more friends.

The food was sooooo good. Staff was friendly and pleasant to deal with. Will be coming again! Dietary restrictions: My wife had no problem working around dairy free and gluten free restrictions!

This was my second time here and it was fantastic.

The servers and owner are great, so friendly. This is a relaxed place, very cheerful ambience and the food is reasonably priced and prepared with a lot of care. Food could be spicier, but it was very tasty. Would be a fun place to bring a birthday or other group dinner.
