Dont order the mini yorkies... I mentioned they were very dry. Added the beef to the au jus to try and help it, but it ended up still being dry. They didnt bother to comp it, so its the first and last time for my spouse and I.. also to mention we were out for our 12 year anniversary dinner...

Went for the first time yesterday. We had heard good things about this restaurant, so we decided to try it out. We did not regret it. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for reduced mobility.

Amazing steak at a reasonable price. Also I love the Ceasar salad. I have been there three times this summer. Every time was awesome.

Greeted immediately upon entering. The interior is beautiful and has a warm cozy atmosphere. Staff are very friendly, quick and checked in without being intrusive. The food was absolutely amazing. Both the wife and I were blown away with the quality and portions. Hands down best steak, this place destroys all steakhouses including the keg. The cesar salad had the best cesar dressing i have ever had. Highly recommend, they have gained 2 new regulars.

First time eating here and we decided to celebrate our anniversary tonight and have a nice dinner. Steak was so dry and more than well done when I clearly asked for medium well. Manager/owner could care less. Didn t even come to the table to talk to me. Offered me 50% off the meal after asking several times what they were going to do to rectify the situation for offering a meal which was total garbage. Veggies tasted like boiled water, no seasoning at all. Terrible food and to charge $44 for a steak that s totally over cooked is not acceptable. Super disappointing and will not go back. Don t waste your money!

We are on vacation to Alberta. Our friends recommend this restaurant with really good food. We were super happy about the food we ordered. Service was on the top level, and the level of cleanes was on the top and amazed us. We are thankful for all of the workers.

Weve been here a few times. The food and service were a 5 star. However we recently went on our 50th wedding anniversary. I ordered steak and lobster. Quite an expensive meal. The hot butter dip was like dipping it in plain canola oil. When I asked the waitress about it, she said it was plain unsalted butter, nothing added. Ruined the whole experience for me. They need to find out what other restaurants do.

Unfortunately they overcooked my steak but it was partially my fault.

Amazing service and that cook, Brandon, is top notch

After several recommendations from various groups, I chose Alexander s for my birthday dinner. We ordered appetizers and drinks, followed by main dishes and wine. The calamari was too perfect - and not in a good way! I ve NEVER had calamari that was all perfectly shaped rings. It reminded me of frozen calamari the likes of which you can purchase at M&M markets. It was chewy and not at all enjoyable. Definitely would NOT recommend. My husband and son did enjoy their onion soup though. Our dinner arrived with our wine being poured into 6 oz glasses with the extra 3 oz in mini carafes. While the carafes were cute, I would have been more impressed if ALL my wine had been in the same glass. Further, we were not shown any bottles so for all I know we were served Card-bordeaux. My steak, while well cooked to a rare temperature was WAY too over-seasoned! I ordered the peppercorn steak which crusted in so much pepper as to be overwhelming. My husband enjoyed his pizza though he did remark that there was too much pepperoni and it overwhelmed the other meats. My son noted that there wasnt much sauce on his pasta and the sauce was just passable flavour wise. The decor is dated and was more reminiscent of an Italian eatery than a steakhouse. I will say that our servers, Madison and Lindsay were very attentive. Overall, our experience was disappointing and going forward, we ll be having our birthday celebrations at the Keg.

We normally order pizza for take-out. It is definitely the freshest tasting toppings of anyone in town. Unfortunately it is also quite a bit more expensive than any other so weve had to curtail it to special occasions only. Food

An absolute gem of a restaurant. First time there passing through Airdrie! Selection, quality, portions, service, all well above average. Lasagna and Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo were absolutely the best ever! Our server was prompt, attentive, thorough and very helpful. I dont believe I saw one server or host in this restaurant that doesnt absolutely love their job. One of the best service teams Ive ever witnessed and the kitchen staff absolutely know their craft! Keep up the great work. You will definitely be seeing us again when were in the area.

Went for dinner with my significant other. Very nice atmosphere although difficult to read menu in darker lighting when you need reading glasses. Used iPhone flashlight. Service was great. Forgot one item (garlic bread) but came later during meal right from oven. Prices and servings are descent. Food was very good.

This was our first time dining here, and it was the best service and food I have experienced in a restaurant in a very long time! Servers were friendly, helpful, came back a couple of times to see if food, desert drinks were ok, quality wine on menu, and food was incredible, more than decent portions. We had kebabs, lasagna, pizza, and the stir fry. Desert was chocolate mousse cake and deep fried ice cream, nice and decadent, nice presentation of food and wine. Highly recommend! Do make a reservation though, it was busy, even on a weeknight!

This was our first time visiting. Great menu options for kids too. My Peppercorn Steak was PERFECT. Our Server was Bry( like the cheese) she was fabulous. We will dine in again.

A family favorite! Been here multiple times and its always a treat! Portion sizes are large and the food is great. Service is good too with friendly, attentive wait staff. It can get a bit loud at busy times but thats nothing compared how cozy and welcoming it feels to dine there. Cant wait to visit again!

Server was amazing. Recommended all the best options we asked for, get the stuffed potato fyi. Steak was really nice piece of meat but was lacking salt/pepper. Perhaps they like to go for pure meat but I prefer a bark. Dessert for me was very underwhelming. Wifes was amazing. I got the deep-fried icecream she got the chocolate mousse cake. Would love to bring my parents but maybe too loud for deaf father.

The absolute best dinner I ve had in a long time! Rib eye steak, salad and veggies could not have been better. Excellent service too! My friend loved his filet mignon and mussels very wonderful! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful place! Hidden gem for sure. Was my first time coming here. I ordered their smallest sized pizza and was a bit worried about if it would be enough with places giving smaller and smaller portions. When it arrived it was thick, loaded with topings and was so filling. Really good value, excellent service and calming atmosphere.

Food here is always fantastic, I usually have the peppercorn New York, which is amazing, but this time I tried the char broiled chicken, wow, I was not disappointed. Tender, juicy, excellent, on top of a delicious bed of rice, and vegetables are steamed to perfection every time I come here. My wife usually has the Veal Cutlets and she loves it. Atmosphere is cozy, and service is always spot on, polite, professional and they never make you feel rushed. Overall 5 out of 5 every time we go there. If you are looking for that special date night with your significant other, definitely make a reservation and try Alexanders.

After eight years living in Airdrie I thought perhaps we would give Alexanders a try. I drive by this place every day and quite frankly from the curb it just doesnt look that appealing and the inside of restaurant is nothing great either. Where these people trump the competitors is with the quality of the food and the prompt knowledgeable servers. It takes a lot to impress me but I would have to say one of the best steak eating experiences ever. They will see a lot more of myself and my friends.

We walked in and were immediately happy with how quaint and comfortable it felt. The service started off great and ended the same way; start to finish our server, Cynthia, was attentive, accurate and anticipatory. The food? A-MAZE-ING. We ordered six steaks done differently each with varying sides. Everything came out exactly correct, all at the same time, nice and hot with normal temp plates so you know it was a plated together without any of them sitting under a heat lamp waiting for the next. Could not have asked for a better experience. HUGE recommend.

We have eaten there too many times to count. Introduced other friends n family to their delicious menu. Never left disappointed in the quality of the food or left hungry. Staff are amazing. Knowledgeable and they anticipate well.

Best restaurant meal/experience Ive had in so many years! Had the New York steak with veg and stuffed potato and tried the apple crisp for dessert. Everything was fresh and homemade (no frozen meals here!). Service was fantastic. Cant believe its taken me so long to try Alexanders! Ill be back...maybe tomorrow ;)

My family all had something different and all amazing !! The pizza was incredible !! Tonight was our first time visiting Alexanders, what a great experience. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked, the lamb was flavorful, and the stuffed potato will probably visit me in my dreams tonight. Our waitress was friendly & fantastically attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a date night. Definitely a hidden gem in Airdrie!

First visit tonight and we werent disappointed at all. A lengthy varied menu. We started with Mushrooms Neptune which were on the small size but very delicious. Madison, our server, recommended the Atlantic salmon as one of the two selections I wanted to try. The salmon had a light sauce plus the fresh broccoli, carrot slices and beans added to the overall tasty dish, as well as the rice pilaf. My spouse had Fettuccini veggie pasta and was served a good sized portion which he enjoyed. Parking: There are a number of businesses open during the evening til at least 7 pm, so could be crowded but some businesses are quick stops for customers. Kid-friendliness: There were kids of varying ages ezting here, although I did not see any needing a highchair. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and on one floor, so easy to get in. Staff made table accessible for customer by removing unnecessary chair.

I chose this restaurant because of the reviews. It was excellent! My spouse chose a steak which was perfectly cooked, very generous with the sides. My son had the fettuccine with chicken, super tasty. I ordered the veal cutlets, I enjoyed every bite and the Cesar salad dressing was the best I ve had! The waitress was nice and super efficient.

Order a pepperoni/mushroom and green peppers pizza and when I got home there s was no pepperoni! Call back to tell them and the girl told me that the girl who took my order said I didn t mention anything about pepperoni! So basically call me a liar! 50$ for a large mushroom pizza and a Greek salad! Never go there again.

I would not recommend here. I am a easy person to please and do not leave bad reviews. In fact this is my first one ever. My husband s pizza was under cooked. My steak was over cooked. But the worse part of it all was that our son threw up in the parking lot right afterwards. The waitress was not very friendly and did not ask us if we enjoyed our meal. We definitely will not be going back. Hopefully our farm dog likes pizza.

I was just passing through town and googled near by restaurants, this one had good reviews so I thought Id try it. Ordered a beer and garlic fingers to start then the angry Mexican pizza as a main. Thought there was awesome selection on the menu, some very unique pizzas that are definitely worth coming back for. Food was cooked properly and no burnt edges. More then enough to fill myself. Services was friendly and prompt!

Highly recommend. Atmosphere is okay. Is a much older restaurant, nothing fancy but food was great. Bruschetta was delicious. We had the salmon dish which was better than I expected, delicious! My husband had the filet mignon with the baked potato, It was also very good. We tried the deep fried ice cream and the chocolate cake, didnt really care for either. I wouldnt get either again but again thats a personal preference. I found the batter on the deep fried ice cream soggy and the cake kind of seemed stale. Aside from the dessert, Id get it all again and we will definitely go back.

Went back May 28 2023 Not so expressed, 4 star atmosphere the same Staff very friendly There was 3 at our table 4 star for service Food One meal good, one just OK, one very bad The veil cutlets were over cooked and dry We thought that this restaurant was going to be our go to restaurant, But as we have found out most always the cooking is something to be desired in all restaurants. This restaurant is a little better, but not by much The last few years there is no excellent just mediocre in cooking, no matter how much you pay for it.

This place it amazing. I found it on a Google search and wasnt sure what to expect but it was ranked one of the best restaurants in Airdrie. I was thinking more of a pub/family restaurant but its high-end and fancy on the inside and the staff is very professional. Food is really good and the portions are large no matter what you order. I brought 3 other people with me and we all got something different. Each plate was BIG. Definitely worth checking out for anyone who hasnt tried it already!

The waited kanda long for the food to come out but given its for 11 people its fine, I ordered the 10oz steak it indeed pass my standard I give it 9/10 tendere and right amount of doneness I wanted. . .if you wanna try great steak in airdrie you should try here although its on the expensive side its worth it other dish was great too , though we didnt try their pizza , too bad next time I guess oh I almost forgot you definitely wanna try the Escargot for appetizer

Theres a reason they get great reviews, their food is tasty. I ordered the 10 Oz Ribeye that was tender and flavourful. Substituted the veggies for a salad with their homemade red pepper creamy dressing, so delicious. My wife ordered the lobster and she enjoyed it as well. I think we have found our new go to steakhouse, especially in Airdrie. 2nd visit: Dropped my rating to 4 stars. Under seasoned New York strip. So amazing last time, tonight was disappointing.

First off my take out salad was in a bag with coldwritten on it! What? Safe food practice? I am obsessed with this as I almost died from Caesar salad packed in the same bag as lasagna last year from a restaurant in Calgary. Salmonella food poisoning. The Caesar salad was amazing. Pizza sooo awesome. Friendly girl up front I forgot how good this place is!

Went here for my birthday, Im a big steak enjoyer so I figured that a steakhouse with good reviews would be the place to go, boy was I wrong, ordered the yorkshire pudding as an appetizer, it was stuffed with some roast beef that reminded me of a luke warm desert, I ordered a steak rare as a main, it took almost 40 minutes before it came to the table, over cooked, about 65% fat, served along with a side of vegetables that were clearly straight out of the freezer, wet and mushy. My wife got a lobster dinner, the lobster was gray and black on the bottom, stringy as a guitar and tasted like it had been doused in day old fish water. My wife ordered a glass of wine, which for some reason was poured in the kitchen and not at the table, for $19 a glass, I would expect to see what is being poured. Our waitress came to our table all of 3 times, to bring appetizers and drinks, to bring our mains and to bring the bill. The resteraunt had 4 tables the entire time. If I could rate this resteraunt lower I would. Airdrie needs a decent steakhouse because this is not it.

I just wanted to post on here that Ive dined in at Alexanders a few times and it has always been amazing. Yesterday I had a virtual/on-line holiday celebration with work and we were able to expense a meal, so I thought why not do Alexanders again. While I was concerned about the quality not being as good as I got it to go - It did not disappoint, it was absolutely incredible! I got the 8oz Top Sirloin (MR) with Caesar salad and a side of their garlic cheese bread.... I thought perhaps I should order my steak rare just incase it sat a bit, but did not and OMG it was perfectly cooked - everything was spot on and absolutely mouth wateringly delicious. Steak cooked (MR) to perfection, Caesar salad was SO good, the dressing was incredible (both the dressing and croutons tasted homemade) - the only thing I thought was they could have cooked the cheese bread a little more or put it in a salamander so it was a bit crispier and more bubbly on top? Service in-house, as well as for take out last night was great, really friendly staff and they obviously care about what they do - definitely the best restaurant in Airdrie hands-down! The last couple of pizza from Alexander s, like the one we ordered last night, have been quite plain and bland. For a pizza with more than just cheese, you will taste something from all the different topping but not these pizza. The house meat pizza tasted like a plain roast beef sandwich I got for lunch. All the other meats were non existent .taste wise. I have to put toppings on top of their pizza to make it taste like a loaded pizza. This used to be our go to place for project meetings but their name doesn t come up anymore. Maybe it s just us but they need to make their pizzas more flavourful.

Without a doubt, the most polite, courteous, efficient staff. Makes it even better to know that they make the best pizza around. Whenever we have a craving for pizza, there is no discussion where were ordering from because we always agree. Keep up the good work.

Cozy place.

This place is a 30 minutes drive from Calgary with a cozy, family friendly vibe. Prices are good compared to other steakhouses we looked at. We shared the Ceasar salad: it was super fresh and tasty. For mains we got 2 fillets mignon that were cooked to perfection! Shoutout to Madison for taking good care of us and giving us tips for things to do in Banff!

The food was ok. The service was very friendly, but it was really slow. Which I totally understand. I asked for rare steak and I got a medium. Which was ok as well. The food is good

Their 7oz filet mignon is the same size as a 9oz anywhere else Ive been to, including the east coast. And you can ask for x amount of oz instead of what they offer on their menu. Friendly staff working in a place that feels family owned, Im eating supper every Friday there.

This was the best food Ive had from a restaurant in a long time. The staff were awesome and very friendly. Will recommend for sure. Kid-friendliness: It was my nieces birthday and they made sure she felt special.

Amazing services my gosh! What incredible staff. We really enjoyed our food. The muscles, pizza and entrees were all great. Good portions and taste. I wanted to give some constructive criticism to only better the place even more: Change the candles to real candles. My husband and I wanted that ambiance. And the side of veggies is the bagged beans, carrots and broccoli that everyone does. I say go with some different. Fresh sliced carrots and fresh broccoli is so much better and I think this restaurant can up their game by using fresh vegetables instead of frozen as their sides. I still give this place a 5 and will be back to try other dishes.

First time here. The appetizers were ok but not exceptional. We had the calamari which we sent back as it was quite tough and the tatziki didnt seem homemade. The mushroom Neptune was nicely flavored but very sparse w crab meat. Our entrees were a meat lovers pizza and a tornado steak dinner. The pizza was great and the tornados were wonderful. We would definitely come back.

Had a great meal at Alexander s in Airdrie on Saturday. Made a reservation on the same day and glad we did as it was full when we arrived at 6:45. Ordered ahead so the kid s pizza would be ready when we got there. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and all the food (pizza, Caesar salad, rib eye meal, and fettuccini supreme) was delicious. Definitely recommend. Add: And my husband dropped my leftover rib eye on the floor when we got home so the doggo got a nice treat.

The service is always quick and they make you feel comfortable. The setting is almost diner feeling and small town. The food is consistently good with plentiful toppings on their pizza, a good stuffed potato and desserts which are made locally. The prices are very reasonable. The spices on their steak are well balanced without being too salty. The lobster tail was cooked nicely. I will definitely eat there many more times. Their pizza is legitimately tasty and the crust is nice and crisp.

Would like to go back but it is not in a pensioners budget. Food was great by all 5 counts. Waitress was very amiable and caring. Atmosphere was very nice but spoiled by the covid scare with plastic dividers all around also by the noise of other customers trying to converse over each other making it sound like any other truckers restaurant. But like I said it was a place that had much great to offer if you could afford it more often. It is a nine out of ten.

Phenomenal meals and great atmosphere. The food is amazing and would highly recommend the mussels, calamari, fettuccini supreme and chicken Parmesan, the steak and veal were also amazing (really every meal was incredible). Just a great atmosphere and excellent food. It s worth every penny

We were a party of four with a 6:00pm reservation. We came down from Edmonton and they were a local couple. Maddison was our wait staff and she did a bang up job. I ordered a med Meat Extravaganza pizza. My wife had the Chicken souvlaki which she said was delicious and very filling. Our other couple ordered the sirloin steak med rare and I forget what his partner ordered. All in all a most enjoyable dining experience and it was so delicious that I forgot to take any pictures of our meal, lol. Maddison easily got our bills split for the two couples and brought the machine with the bills. We found out about this restaurant by chance doing a Google search for best restaurants in Airdrie.

Loved their potatoes .

Alexander s is deservedly a fixture in Airdrie. Over the years every meal has been delicious and last night as I joined 2 friends to catch up, was no exception. The physical restaurant is dated and simple , but the service is friendly, casual and yet professional and they know their many regulars. I had the juicy and very tasty Mediterranean Chicken , one friend a tasty Rib-eye and the other had her fave French Onion soup and potatoe skins, which reminds me I also had mushrooms Neptune which were outstanding especially with the addition of some garlic toast to get all the tasty crannies in the dish. Desserts are generous portions of classics from the giant slice of moist chocolate layer cake, to cheesecake, to deep fried ice cream, tasty fun. Never hesitate to order something from this delicious family-run spot- worth a drive from Calgary.
