We ll, where do I begin we went out tonight for my birthday (4 of us). Upon ordering we had waiting a fair amount of time to receive our meals, but upon arrival, my meal was missing. Our waiter said it would be coming out shortly, but little did I know shortly is nee lingo for an hour. They did comp my meal tho lol but not the veggies I ordered as a side. Would not recommend this place or be returning.

Ferraro Truly Italian is by far in my opinion, the best Italian restaurant. We have been patrons of this establishment since they blessed Airdrie with setting up shop here and very few Italian restaurants I have visited in North America come close to the food, service and atmosphere that is here. We are so thankful they are in Airdrie. The menu and nightly special board is prepared with dedicated passion and standards. Hand made ingredients, outstanding service and such a warm community atmosphere. I recommend this place every chance I get. Treat yourself to something that is not the usual run of the mill and amazing food, wines, cocktails and atmosphere. We always look forward to coming here for either a nice meal or just to stop by and have a drink and a snack and relax.

I would not recommend this restaurant. When you first walk in, it looks beautiful, but unfortunately the service is very poor. We were seated at our table and a women came over to take our orders. You could smell cigarettes on her hands. My husband wanted to order the mushroom truffle dish with chicken and she completely swayed him away saying that the chicken will take away from the truffle. Like why even have the additions offered on the menu if you don t want your customers adding to it lol. We have eaten plenty of truffle dishes. He ended up ordering the lasagne I ordered the truffle pasta with gluten free fettuccine for an extra $9 and still decided to add chicken. She did not write down our order My dish came out and they served my pasta with spaghetti and not fettuccine. The waitress (a different lady) left the table before I could say anything. No one came back to check up on us while eating. Honestly the truffle dish didn t even taste of truffle lol which I find humorous as she was so offended we wanted to add chicken I wouldn t recommend this restaurant to anyone Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Not a great first impression, showed up as a party of 1, and was turned away at 8:26pm, was told kitchen was closed. On google here though it says they close at 9pm though, and for most restaurants, the stated closing time is usually the time the kitchen closes. And I see on the door dash app that I can still place an order for pick up or delivery. Just disappointing

Ordered Arabiata pizza and it was so good. Will was a really nice guy, helped us modify our pizza and gave suggestions.

Came in for my birthday dinner. We made a large reservation. Nothing was said at that time about the fact that their system cannot do separate bills. The food was fabulous. Service was alright. When it came time to pay they tried to have us all on one bill. My mother said we need it separated, and was told we cant. So my mother said well you kind of have to as we are not all paying together. Then we were told that they would do it this time for us but next time it cant happen. Then the guy called out my mother saying that he didnt appreciate her response, and that its all over their website and the menu. We did not see that and we werent told at the time of booking OR when we came in .... so right..... I was a server for a long time in my younger years, a long time. This is 100% how you do not speak to your customers.... especially in a time when everyones money is tight. Individuals, families and businesses. We came here for a birthday as it was a special occasion. We will not be spending our hard earned money here again.

Had to ask for drinks, starters and orders to be taken. Food was excellent. Service was rude and we felt like we annoyed them. Being a large group with a 600$$ bill I would have expected better for sure. At least to be offered Food and drink and not to be made to ask to be served. Paros on main next time for sure.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was great. Highly recommend the salmon, duck and focaccia bread. Our waitress Jayden was absolutely fantastic, best waitress we ve had in a long time. She was knowledgeable, attentive and kind.

We booked a table for a large family event, a birthday. We can t always gather together, so this was a special time. At the suggestion of some friends not to book this restaurant mainly to the owners wife who can be bossy and rude, however,we carried on with the booking, regrettably. After being arriving to a frosty unwelcoming greet from the female owner of the restaurant, she seated us to our table. We waited another 30 minutes to receive our menus to order and a further hour and half for our meals Having children in our party and one with type 1 diabetes, We ordered our meals and drinks as soon as we could, one drink being a Diet Coke for the T1D. Our drinks arrived and the Diet Coke was given to the wrong person, resulting in a medical high for the child and insulin needing to be administered immediately. One meal didn t arrive. We highlighted this and it took another 10 minutes to receive. 3 hours later after arriving at the restaurant and after paying for our bill of almost $600 plus the mandatory 18% tip of almost $100 ( with the late meal and Diet Coke removed) At the time of leaving the male owner took us to one side and he acknowledged the evenings issues along with apologizing, stating he had noticed on numerous occasions there were issues with our event and how could he make the experience better We expressed we weren t happy with the medical emergency and the importance of delivering the correct drinks to the right person and mentioned we were unhappy with having to pay the entire $100 tip and would have liked to had the choice to reduce due to the poor service provided. The male owner agreed, he then began the process of reimbursing us, at which time the female owner came over, took the receipt, she was extremely rude, argued the fact that the child did have the Diet Coke and she had already removed her meal and the late meal, on top of which she said she also removed a desert which they gave complimentary for the birthday person (which was not ordered by our party in advance) and she wasn t going to do anything more for us. The customer service and argumentative attitude we received by this female owner was unprofessional and disappointing, it s no wonder we were recommended not to go to this restaurant in the beginning. We left the premises having paid in full, as were unwilling to participate in an argument with the female owner, who seemed incapable of being friendly or polite. We will not be returning.

I have been here a few times and every time it was been fantastic. I have tried a few different items and each one was delicious! The focaccia bread is the best I have had hands down. The pasta is divine without being too heavy. The pizza was amazing. We went tonight and as we ended the evening the owner walked us out. He chatted with him for a few minutes and he was super nice as well. I recommend this place to anyone who lives in Airdrie or even just pass by. We will definitely be going again!

****After the owners read my review, they were kind enough to send me an email and ask to speak with me. I changed my review based on the fact they took the time to listen and understand where i was coming from. This action speaks volumes. **** My daughter in- law and I ordered the special which indicated shrimp, shallots, garlic, chili and cheese. When the meals came, I couldnt believe the spice level and I enjoy spice ( I was sweatin). My daughter in-law could not eat it. When I brought it up with our server, he went over to the chalkboard where the specials were posted and pointed to the word chili. He couldnt even have a conversation? If a chef is going to prepare a dish that is a level 7 spice, then it is the servers responsibility to alert the guest. (especially at this price point) How were we to know? There are plenty of dishes that have chili and do not make you uncomfortable. I tipped 20% 226.00 and am regretting it. The service was worse than the spice level. I realized after tipping that I didnt do him any favours. He thought he did a great job and will continue to treat the guests poorly. I have been to Ferraro a few times and not sure I would go back.

Worst service Ive received at a restaurant in many years

Got the seafood pasta and it was very good, definitely was what I was craving. We also had a pizza which was very well done. Service was friendly and kind. The restaurant is beautiful and well for a fancy date although I went with my one year old and three year old. Thanks!

AH-MAZING. I have been here numerous times with family and have never been disappointed. Carbonera - delicious. Pizzas-delicious. Ceasar salad- delicious. Creme Brulee -delicious. I tend to stick to safe foods for health reason so I dont experiment with a lot of foods outside of my home hut even the bites Ive tried off of my family and friends have been truly delicious.

Unfortunately this place isn t as great as when it first opened. The service leans toward the rude end of the scale and the wait is awful - we re talking well over an hour and a half to get our meals. The food is decent, but seems incredibly overpriced. Cocktails were underwhelming. We ll probably stick to ordering pizza for takeout, but I d skip the dine-in experience.

My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time and we were not disappointed. The food was as beautiful as it was delicious. The service was amazing and the staff are so kind.

The spaghetti is to die for. I dont usually like red sauce but I ate every bite! The waiter needs to be let go. There is nothing worse than going out to spend your hard earned money on crappy service. He could barely speak English and asked us if we looked at the dinner specials written on the wall in the other section of the restaurant. Thats your job. The cute young lady who brought us to the table and gave us the cheque was very kind and friendly.

This used to be my favorite Italian restaurant in Airdrie....and also my highly recommended one too... But after last nights experience I will have to find a new one.... I always ordered the Carbonara...it was really good they used to make it with the thin long noodles... The first time I ordered it...it was more dry than creamy than I expected but still good! I talked to both the owners cause at that time they still came even when I said it was good but not what I expected they told me this is how it is made in Italy and that here they changed it to make it more creamy by adding cream....so following times I went back I asked if they could add cream to it and it was amazing ( this was when they were located in the hotel close to the KFC) I even ordered a couple of times take out.... Last night, after waiting, about an hour and a half for my food... They brought the pizza burnt And the Carbonara was made with these thick round noodles it was cold the sauce was watery and they put soo much pepper on it..... I ate 1 slice of pizza ( my daughter ate 1 and my mom ate 1 slice ) because me and my daughter didnt have lunch so we were really hungry and I was irritated and had a headache at this point.... So the owner came out and I apologize I should have been a little kinder but I had a headache and was irritated after waiting 1.5 hours for my food the waiter didnt even come to check if everything was okay....he came at the end and asked if we liked everything and wanted desert! The owner started arguing with me that... with the Carbonara, it was always made with those noodles, and not the ones I was talking about, like I was stupid or something!!! When I went home, I littery went through my Google images to find the photo to prove I was not lying ... but I feel like its a waste to even go back and show them! Anyways to end it off, I was just very disappointed with last nights service, and it wont be a restaurant (for Italian food). I would recommend again.

Our family made a short stop at this restaurant while on a road trip, and saw that there were very good reviews. The wait time was quite long, but it was worth it when we finally received our orders. Everything turned out amazing. You can tell the food here is made with love and care.

I was coming back from a walk the other day and I underestimated my ability to get back home. I have a disability that limits how far I can go. I saw some outdoor tables at Ferraro and just needed to sit down for a moment to regroup and catch my breath for a moment. As I was sitting there admittably looking in rough shape, Lela one of your very observant and caring employees came and asked me if I needed help. ( Can I call you an ambulance? No, I should be okay. Are you sure?) I said I needed a moment to rest before moving on. She said she would give me as long as I needed and went back inside. When I was ready to leave she checked on me again. I told her I felt good enough to go home and very sweetly she offered to walk me back to my apartment just a half a block down the street! I declined but she stayed out on the street making sure I wasn t going to collapse or something like that! As I rounded the corner into my complex she waved to me. I think it s safe to say that she would be a great employee to take your order. We ve been looking for a new eat out place and we will definitely check it out!

Great authentic Italian

Had the special pasta , carnivore pizza , arancini , and tomato salad (plus brownie and strawberry tiramisu). Everything was absolutely delicious and service was pleasant, friendly, and attentive. Love this gem !!!! Will definitely drive from Calgary for it!!

We were visiting family in Airdrie, it certainly wasnt our first time there and we know quite a few restaurants here. This is the first restaurant that we were happy to go to again the next day. Friendly service, very nice boss, a real restaurant that focuses on the guests and good food. It is far above the standard of what else exists here. It would immediately be our favorite place here.

I dont have enough space, words, or time, to say all of the amazing things about Ferraro. Ive been coming to Ferraro since they first opened here in airdrie as a small mom and pop restaurant with just 2 or 3 tables. It has always been nothing but phenomenal. The food is absolutely divine, yes it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for, it is a fine dining experience with high quality ingredients, exquisite service, and beyond kind owners. As long as Ferraro is in airdrie I will be a devoted customer 10/10

The pizza served here is truly an authentic Italian experience. Lovely use of delicious sauce and wonderful oils, with cheese crisped up just right. I fully recommend trying it out!

Our experience at Ferraro Truly Italian was amazing. Last year we went to Ferraro s to celebrate our anniversary and this week we went back again to celebrate our 65th anniversary with another couple who also were celebrating 65 years of marriage. The service was exceptional - thanks to Will. There were many choices on the menu. The food was great and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. We would not hesitate to go back again to Ferraro.

Food was good. Pizza could probably be shared or expect leftovers. Ravioli dishes are not too large so you may have room for dessert. After getting our food, the waiter didn t check in until I was done eating and we waited quite a while for a to go box and the bill. We were kind of seated in a back corner so it was difficult to get the waiter s attention without him walking up to us already. Usually there is two rounds of ordering. One for drinks and one for food. We were just asked for our order so didn t think to get a drink but they do provide water on the table. Kid-friendliness: They have wooden high chairs for toddlers. No kids menu so you ll just share with the kids.

The food was okay, but the portions were small and overpriced. The service was the worst part of our experience. Our waiter was neither friendly nor attentive. He didnt even ask if we would like drinks. We were also approached by who I am assuming was the owner, who requested that I tell my young son not to rest his legs on the side of the table. It was strange and made me very nervous because every time he crossed his legs they would touch the edge of the table, and I had to tell him not to. Hes young, so I think it is hard for him to dangle his small legs over the bench. His feet werent touching the seats (I checked), so Im not sure what the issue was. It did make me uncomfortable the rest of the evening so in hindsight, we should have just left.

This use to be our go to place for a nice night out. Our last two times have been horrible experiences, waiting over 1.5 - 2 hours for our meals, we were only offered drinks at the start and never seen our waiter again, we had to flagged him down and when asked about our meals he just disregarded the question. We will most likely only go for appetizers as those seem to be quick.

we made reservations for a special night out. We had 2 kids with us and they placed us in a busy room, with an atmosphere like a cafeteria. Service was very poor and it seemed the server wasnt able to explain the dishes/specials or answer any questions about the wines. No one checked in to see if we needed more drinks or how the meal was. Had to ask for water top ups. $200.00 for a meal with paper napkins...was expecting more

When we visited (4 people) restaurant was maybe at 50% capacity + take out service. Our table was not great as it was in a busy section of the restaurant with staff walking back and forth in close proximity behind the two out of the four chairs we had - you really cant relax fully if you keep feeling like someone is going to bump into you. We were also right across from a pizza oven so it has very hot - we eventually asked to change tables. We found the food to be quite overpriced - we ordered 3 appetizers. We ordered Burrata, which was the special appetizer for the evening for $28 - we got a small ball of Burrata cheese with 4 olives a few small leaves of arugula and maybe 4 cherry tomatoes sliced in half and couple small slices of prosciutto. There was nothing else to go with it, so we asked for some bread and that was an additional $13. The serving of calamari was soooooo small that I actually felt embarrassed for the restaurant - the only thing there was a lot of was the mayonnaise it was served with. On top of that it was too battered and greasy. Our mains took a long time to come out, but we were ok with that as it gave us a lot of time to chat. Unfortunately, our meals also fell short - pizza crust was good, but it was soggy otherwise, the tuna and risotto special (for $48) was also underwhelming, with the risotto being very salty, tuna was ok - would have been nice to have a bit of something fresh or acidic on the plate to compliment the tuna and risotto. We couldnt hear or understand the waiter, had to keep asking the waiter to refill our water - he finally dropped off a bottle of water without a word and walked away, and he didnt check-in on our table until we were almost done our mains.

Weird creepy sous chef .. came out of the restaurant and followed us to the car and approached us when we got into the car asking to exchange phone numbers and hang out we just wanted to leave and told him no we re good but he kept asking. We will never return to this restaurant ever again.

Came here to celebrate my brother and I s birthday this weekend with my fiancé and parents. We had a very poor experience. They didn t have our reservation even though my mom had called a couple times ahead to confirm. Before dinner all of us had finished our first drinks and no one came by to see how we were doing for at least 30 minutes. My fiance had to grab the attention of another server to order another round. The restaurant was not busy... The food took over and hour to come out, and when it did 3 of the 5 dishes weren t even hot. Management did offer to replace the dishes that were cold however beyond that we felt as though we had put them out. The food is definitely overpriced for what you get and the portions were small. Really disappointed as it was our 30th birthday and we really wanted a special evening, but ultimately felt like this restaurant did not care and couldn t wait for us to leave.

Amazing food. Non descipt place you wouldnt glance twice at. You should glance 3 or 4 times. The girls that served us were beyond friendly and helpful. The fellow was as well but his English was only slightly better than my Italian. Super authentic, but made for a couple of miscommunication issues. No worries in the grand scheme, and rectified immediately with a smile. Fantastic experience, I will be back, and soon.

The meatballs were delicious but salad and pasta dishes were underwhelming. The noodles themselves were good (fresh) but seasoning and flavor was not what we expected for a fine dining Italian experience. Service started with the owners wife, which was not super warm or welcoming. The other servers, who seemed to be called in to help towards the end of our service, were much better.

We live in Airdrie and have wanted to try this place and tonight it became our favorite spot in town. The food was absolutely fantastic, the delicious dish made table side was our favorite. The staff was very good and made the dining experience wonderful. Five Stars

Tried for the first time, it s very authentic I ordered a pizza to go was a bit cold but still good. The atmosphere was cozy and clean but the best part was the staff member (lady with brown long hair) she was excellent, gave feedback on what to get, gave me a tour of restaurant and where I can buy fresh pasta, showed me the owner overall she s amazing she deserves a raise UPDATE: Omg I went back again to buy their fresh pasta and I seen the owner (gent, very easy on the eyes ) and he sold me fresh fettuccine noodles and gave me fresh Italian sausage sauce, I made it and it tastes sooooo amazing. I can t believe how good it tastes. A great idea to pick up for entertaining guests and saying you made it from scratch Thanks

Honestly loved this place, its quiet and a little out of the way but very professional. The atmosphere was chic and the wait staff never left you waiting too long. I will be back and I recommend it to anyone wanting a very authentic Italian meal

Dined in on Sunday evening. Lamb was divine, worth the price. Companion had spaghetti and was impressed with the pasta sauce. Tried the gluten-free pasta and found it on the wet and soft side. Slightly overcooked is better than undercooked though and GF is more difficult to get al dente so Ill give them another chance on a future visit. The pasta portion that came with the lamb was also on the small side and I left still a bit hungry even though the lamb itself was so good.

I had the spaghetti with bolognese. Not a fan of the sauce. Ongoing with me, not liking most spaghetti sauce or pizza sauce. The owner asked if I wanted a replacement meal and I declined. Everything was cooked properly, I just wasn t ready for spaghetti for lunch. The owner asked if I liked pizza and made a very nice all meat pizza. Looked amazing at the restaurant and tasted delicious at home, even cold. Staff is very nice and made us very comfortable. Yes I will return. Parking: Handicap parking next to the front door. Lots of free parking.

Fantastic all around. First time visiting and will definitely be back. Waitress and all staff very friendly and efficient. Wide choice of Italian wines, the Amarone was delightful. Duck with figs was delicious. Table side Pasta is a must have, worth every penny. Lots of high end entrees to choose from, and lots of specials. For a special night out, this is your place. Little store attached is a bonus!

We had the most amazing cacio e Pepe tonight. Mane made it for us right at our table. It was so delicious! The service was also amazing Luigi was perfect. The best authentic Italian food at a family run restaurant. Never disappoints

First time to this restaurant. Google maps needed. Some of our party of 10 had issues finding it. This is definitely not a place to find a quick meal. Drinks are very expensive and not a great selection. We started with breaded Calamari and zucchini. Holy salt shaker, batman, so salty I had to scrape the breading off. All the people that ordered it said the same thing. The serving is quite small and the price is large. Would not recommend. It was a special occasion we were out celebrating so I chose not to say anything not knowing how receptive the place would be to feedback in the moment. None of us said anything. I also ordered chicken and pasta, but it was good. My friend did have the Antipasto Italiano, and it was shared and looked very appealing she said it was very nice. The waiter is so slow to refresh drinks and water. Once orders put in it was sooooo slow to arrive to table. Considering there is 20% mandatory tip on group size of 10 I expected better service. We live in Calgary, and we would not make the drive again to come out to this restaurant. The bill was over $600 for our party so its a expensive dining experience. My husband and I spent $ 120 for appetizer one drink a beer called Peroni and my husband who loves to try different beers advised it wasnt his favorite and it cost 11$ a bottle. There is no other beer choice. I had two smallish glasses of ginger ale $7.00 no refills for free. We had two chicken dinners. Also theres one bathroom for the whole place so you have people standing in the hall area waiting. It was great being out with friends and family, and the dining area was dim lighting, and we were at the back where we could visit. Our experience was just not the great food and atmosphere/service Ive read about on other peoples reviews for this place. Wheelchair accessibility: Spa e right out side the door.

We love going here. Its so cozy and the food is amazing! It is indeed a truly Italian experience. Luigi was our server and he was very attentive and kind. Ps, get the Espresso martini, you wont regret it!

The food was excellent but it should be after waiting for an hour and 45 minutes! We had three little kids with us, you d think there be a little sense of urgency. I don t understand why it took so long for pasta dishes and a pizza. Plus the waiter didn t ask us if we wanted any drinks and never came back to ask how everything was once we got our food. I doubt I d go back even with the good food that s too long to wait. Pretty pricey. I get its fresh made but did they start making it once we ordered? If you go, order immediately and ask for the bill when the food comes or you ll wait again!

My wife and I decided to try this restaurant last night. The entire experience was an absolute delight. My job takes me to restaurants several times per week for both lunches and dinners and I can confidently say that Ferraro is hands down the best restaurant in Airdrie. You can expect the food to take some time to come out but this is completely understandable once you take your first bites. You can tell that the quality and care have been taken in their preparation and reminds me of some of my best Italian restaurant experiences in both Ontario and Alberta. The owner as well as the staff were extremely polite, funny and engaging which added to the overall atmosphere. If you are looking to spend some quality time with the ones you love in a relaxed atmosphere with easily the best food in the city then you need to try Ferraro. We will be back

I had heard great things from a trusted source, only to be disappointed. First, our waiter missed the drink order of one of our party, we were only 4, so thats pretty bad. Honestly, the tomato sauce was quite bland. No hit of garlic or herbs. My lasagna was decent, but nothing memorable. My wifes ravioli had a better flavour. My creme Brule was disappointing as well. Not good enough to return.

Had their Carbonara and it gave me projectile vomit level food poisoning whatever is going on in that kitchen clearly is not sanitary

This restaurant is very authentic and brings me back to when I visit Italy. I really enjoyed all the food we got! We went in between lunch and dinner and the service was fast. The food was piping hot. We met the owner who truly has a passion for food and had a nice conversation! I will definitely be coming back very soon! Viva italia

I wish there was one thing I could suggest to improve our recent experience at Ferraro but I cannot!! The food, the wine, the atmosphere was wonderful! Look forward to coming back on our next visit to Airdrie!

Tried the escargot which was on special, absolutely fabulous! The sauce complemented the protein perfectly. Service was also top notch, my water was topped up, sometimes without me even noticing. All around great atmosphere and waitstaff as well. Would recommend for anyone in Airdrie who loves Italian cuisine!

We came up from Calgary for a Christmas meal with family after hearing how good Ferraros was. We were told it was popular and that we should make reservations so we did. There were 7 of us so we ordered an assortment of pasta, pizza and fish as our mains and then proceeded to wait 90 minutes until our food was served, well six of them anyway as one of the entrees was not delivered until we pointed that out to the staff that one of the entrees was missing. The good: The Lasagna was excellent, two of the pizzas were enjoyed. The seafood was cooked well and was tasty. The not so good: one of the pizzas was wrong, and not what was ordered, what was delivered was not seasoned and therefore was less than the sum of the ingredients. We would have sent it back but did not have another 90 minutes for a replacement. The SPAGHETTI BOLOGNESE again to light on the seasoning and thus fell short of the wonderful and hearty dish this could have been. As a side note the person ordering it requested FETTUCINE instead of Spaghetti and was told the kitchen was too busy to substitute one pasta for another, as this took 90 minutes to arrive this should not have been an issue. The RIGATONI CARBONARA had an uncooked scrambled egg texture with the cheese not having melted at all. Overall there is promise there but attention to detail and taste needs to improve for the Ferraro to shine.

Lasagna is incredible

Had a lovely meal with my son. We both had pasta. Only negative was our server. A lovely young woman, but extremely over the top, to the point it seemed fake. Coming to your table over 10 times over a 1.5 dinner experience is a bit much. Honestly would have tipped more if she had just given pleasant normal service that you get in a higher end restaurant.

My husband and I found this place in Airdrie based off the great reviews, so I wanted to write one myself. 5*. The owner Emanuele gave us a great experience. Very personable and friendly. Our waitress Faith was very friendly and truly loved her job. The food was amazing. We had wine to drink and got the calamari, Caesar salad, ravioli and ribeye steak for food. My husband is quite picky with steak and he said it was one of the best. Highly recommend Ferrero Italian.

This place is a gem. We love eating here. Their Ravioli Formaggio is to die for. The atmosphere is amazing. Host will always explain us everything very patiently. Last but not the least, DESSERTS are a must try. One of their dessert is like a cake ball covered with chocolate sauce (don t know the name) and it is delicious- sadly they don t have it sometimes.

Secret gem for authentic Italian food lovers in Airdrie ! Faith our server tonight was AMAZING while owners Nyla and Manny truly exemplify Italian hospitality. I always invite new friends with me and they absolutely love their experience. I totally recommend for all good food lovers(not just Italian)! Food, ambiance and service 10/10!

Visiting from out of the country and this restaurant was recommended to us. The service was wonderful and very welcoming. We enjoy watching the kitchen and this has an open cooking concept! Many delicious items on the menu and several specials. We chose an item off of the menu and one special. We chose there home made pasta which was superb! Both were so good! Nice wine selection too. Our server Will was knowledgeable and helpful with the menu items. So enjoyed our cappuccinos and dessert. We wish we had a restaurant, with wonderful owners like this, in our hometown. Would highly recommend! If you live near here you need to go!

Horrible service. We weren t in a rush, and fully expecting a slower pace. However we watched our food sit on the counter for several minutes before it arrived to us luke warm. We then waited for about 30 minutes after finishing our meal for anyone to come to our table and ask about coffee/dessert, which we wanted but had given up on by then. All of this would have been fine if everyone was run off their feet, but this wasn t the case. Several servers, and what appeared to be the owner, were around and very attentive to select other tables. The food was good, but we won t return.

Whether you are local to Airdrie or passing through, everyone must try this place! Airdrie was in desperate need for a fine dinning experience and Ferraro has delivered just that with the service and ambiance. Everything was fresh and made to order and just scrumptious. We had the antipasto with the focaccia bread, yum, ravioli manzo, also yum.The Paccheri Funghi was so delicious that I opted to stuff myself instead of finishing my wine. I look forward to trying their pizza and the market and bringing home fresh pastas, sauces, and other imported delights.

This gorgeous restaurant entails mouthwatering food combined with stupendous service. This is without a doubt the best restaurant in town and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys and appreciates authentic Italian cuisine and great food in general. The owners put the effort to make virtually everything on the menu from scratch and prepare the meals with care. Also, the combination of knowledge and talent that the owners of this place have are some of the best I have ever seen. This place is incredibly unique and is nothing less than a gem...Wow!! Over priced. The 5oz piece of fish and 3oz of veg with 2 garnishes for 38 dollars. Frozen ravioli with a basic cream sauce for 28. The focaccia was actually pizza bread. Nothing about this restaurants food is worth the price they charge.

The place is fantastic but my experience with takeout was awful. The polo parmigiana looked a beef as so overcooked and dry it was, also tiny tine portion of vegetables. The other plates were just okay. Not worth the price for the amount and quality of the food (at least for takeout). Dine in may be different.

At Ferraro Truly Italian, you re part of the family , except that families aren t accepted here. Was turned down at the door because we brought our daughter with us. The owner told us it would be too loud for her. Unfortunate to see we were not the only ones that had to deal with rude service from the owner due to bringing our family to a family restaurant. Friends, Family and food. Minus the family. Kid-friendliness: -10. Don t waste your time. If kids aren t welcome, that s cool, but don t market as a family restaurant and then deny or stick customers in a back room because they have children with them.

We have been big supporters of Ferraro since moving to airdrie over 8 years ago. Tonight we wanted to have a nice family dinner with our daughter. We were turned away because we brought our daughter with us, the owner decided it would be to loud as there a lot of parties tonight . Very disappointed in how the situation was handled. If we would have been 3 adults we would have had a table no problem. Weird considering it says family directly under the logo maybe this only means family operated we will be travelling to Calgary to Rea s for our Italian cravings from now on, incredible food and everyone is welcome! While I appreciate your reply, it is far from the truth. When we asked for a table, you said for 3 adults and proceeded to tell us to go through the other entrance. When we told you for 2 adults and a child you said it was too loud and you could not accommodate us.

These people went above and beyond, the staff and family went above and beyond for our service, and the food was unreal. Flavor was beautiful, and the family was beautiful. They made us feel at home and were extremely helpful with the menu. Love these guys!! If youre looking for authentic cooking, this is the place!!!

I really wanted to try their cheese wheel since reading in a post that they had it. We especially made the trip to Airdrie on a Saturday night, and was quite disappointed that it wasnt available. We got a couple of pastas and the foccacia to start. Our appetizer came after our entrees did and was rather hard and crunchy, which we werent expecting. The pastas were good. Sauces were lighter and made with real ingredients - quite different than what weve had at a lot of restaurants. The ravioli was soft and fresh. Dessert was disappointing. The one waiter wasnt able to tell us what the different selections inside the display case were, so we were forced to pick from the menu. The sugar on the creme brulee was thick, burnt, and bitter. They switched it out for a new one, but because the heat of the torch didnt reach the custard with a lighter caramelization of the sugar, the texture and flavour was not good. The sugar was still bitter for some reason. He got a tiramisu, which was probably the better choice. Service was... interesting. The woman who greeted us and took our order may have been the owners wife. She didnt make us feel very welcomed, but neither did our whole experience there. We were barely checked in on during our meal, hardly a smile from anyone, and service was rather slow, considering they were less than half full. I enjoyed watching the chef cook in the open kitchen - I didnt think Id see big flames while cooking Italian food! While I still want to try pasta with the cheese wheel, our experience here fell below our expectations, so we will choose a different restaurant for that.

Ok the food is to die for! Soo much flavor and light. The pasta is hand made as well as pizza dough. No heavy creams. I have eaten here lots and love it so I took my wedding reception to Ferraros. We were 40 people and the food quality did not drop, the service was still perfect, the ambiance was excellent. Manny and Nyla went out of their way to make sure we had flowers, music, and all the trimmings of a wedding reception. I can not thank them enough for all they and their staff did for us! This place and the staff are GEMS! Thank you for great memories!!

SO DISAPPOINTED!!! Came to this restaurant with my boyfriend for our first time after hearing such great reviews from our friends. We couldn t have been more let down. We arrived shortly after 7 and left close to 9pm after NOT EVEN GETTING OUR FOOD. The server was very friends and nice, however we ordered from her and waited over an hour only to be told after having to ask where our food was just to be told it would still be a while and that they had bigger tables in the front the kitchen must have been prioritizing. We weren t really offered anything in return for wasting our entire evening there either. So disappointing and likely won t be back. The server was really nice but clearly there is a communication issue between FOH staff and BOH staff. Hard to believe the owners let 2 paying customers just walk out the door under their noses. Such a let down.

We had an INCREDABLE experience. A group of over 20 people, including a new born and few toddlers. Amongst us are some picky and big / fit eaters ! The owner , staff and chef did not disappoint us ! With todays economy and huge prices of food costs , electricity , gas mortgages , leasing , etc.. it was amazing to all of us how the menu was so reasonable !!! We talked amongst ourselves wondering how this lovely family business is surviving.? I have experienced fine dining for many years and have been so disappointed . You get a decorative plate and a couple of bites of something that is extremely over priced . You know what Im talking about . Regardless if you know how to cook . One knows what tastes good and to give a decent proportion. You will NOT be disappointed at FERRARO !!! We booked a party for 25 people to celebrate my daughters 15th birthday. Italian cuisine is not my go to but let me tell you how delicious the ragu beef lasagna was, dam good. All of our guests loved their meal and they indulged us with music requests. Will definitely go back. The owners were on top of every detail and didnt skip a beat

The food is excellent but very small portions and poor value. Pasta is filling, so you shouldnt have to order an appetizer just to get a full meal. An Italian restaurant that doesnt offer bread service is really cheaping out, all so that you feel forced to order more just to fill your belly. You expect bread service for a fine dining Italian restaurant, especially if youre paying $30 for a very small plate of pasta. Ive been to this establishment twice and had the same very friendly server but the service wasnt great. I didnt mind waiting for the food both times but when your server asks you if you want coffee or dessert and you say no, it is expected that she should bring you the bill. Almost a half hour later we finally had to flag her down to ask for it. Disappointing! With the increased cost of food, people really do notice when theyre being taken advantage of

Ok this is my first ever review! I don t do them because my time is valuable and mostly restaurants are good but not worth my review. This one is outstanding and I never say that lightly. The pizza the pasta the lamb all done to perfection. The service and the atmosphere make this one worth the travel within the Calgary area. Sat down and it took nearby 30 minutes to get drink orders in, which set the theme for the entire night. Took a hour to get appetizer orders in and nearby two hours for entrees. After waiting more than two hours for food, it came out in cold plate and was not hot. The bill and machine were dropped off and the server left the table. After paying, we saw ourselves out. Overall, would not recommend this place because waiting two hours for passable Italian food is not desirable.

I would give it a zero for service but that wasn t an option. We were there for a special occasion and since we were a large group, they asked us to pre-order our meals, which we did about three weeks ago. We I waited two and a half hours for our food to arrive with only a few updates on when it might arrive. When it arrived, many meals were missing or wrong. When we pointed this out, the owner yelled at us and took a bite out of someone s food to prove that it was cooked properly and then gave it back to her to eat. We refused it. This was not an enjoyable evening and we will not be back. Ever.

This place is truly PHENOMENAL. Went with my family and we all ordered very different items and tried bites of each others. The ravioli framaggio was by far my favourite. They had Bison on special for a few weeks and it was a close second. Everything including our appies were a perfect size. The atmosphere was very authentic and servers were great! Nyla (the owner) is a doll . We will be back to try more of the menu and I cannot recommend this place enough!

Great food and great service

My husband and I came here once before, months ago. The service was awful but the food was good so we thought we d give it another chance. I brought my family a couple days ago and it was the worst service I ve ever experienced while dining. When I called to make the reservation I got the privilege of overhearing the lady who answered the phone complaining with someone else about accommodating us (6 people, with over a weeks notice - not unreasonable) and the other lady assuring her she would come in to cover us. Alright, fine. We showed up for dinner and waited. And waited. It took over 30 minutes for our drinks to come, another hour for appetizers, and another hour after that for dinner. All the while watching servers and cooks enter and exit through the front, past our table, to take many many cigarette breaks. At this point our drinks were empty. Nobody checked on us to find out how our appetizers were or how our meals were. When I inquired about when our meals might come, I was told that there was a larger party they were serving first and we d have to wait. No offering of how long we d need to wait for. Just wait. Ultimately we watched several other tables come in after us, get fed, and leave. The bill was left at our table, nobody asked how it was, if we d want dessert, or anything. If they had asked we would have told them, or hoped that they would have noticed all of our plates were full. We ll not go back.

We have been there recently and food was amazing but we were waiting for 2 hours for our food. If you plan to go there - plan to be there 3-4 hours lol but actually it s not fun :(

My husband and I live in airdrie and we have been to this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed! The last few times, Faith has been our server and she is very lovely, quick to attend to us and makes sure we are taken care of!

Ferraro has gone to great lengths to provide an authentic Italian dining experience. Ive spoken with the new owner, and it was inspiring to hear him describe his commitment to quality. A restaurateur for decades with previously successful restaurants in Montreal (a food capital), he brings expertise and passion to this location. All food is prepared on-site with fresh ingredients, with the critical ones being sourced from Italy. All of the sauces are made fresh daily. The Salmon was exquisite and the pizza was good. Airdrie is fortunate to have a restaurant of this caliber in our neighbourhood. Airdrie is a great community, but needs more local restaurants. Lets support our restaurants so we arent stuck with Montanas and the like. Also, pricing is very reasonable for the quality of the food and the overall dining experience with most dishes landing in the mid $20 range.

Great place to take all this kids, the ravioli with the Rose sauce was amazing, fettuccini Alfredo noodles were a a hit with the kids- you have to wait a little bit for your order because they are actually making everything fresh so it s worth the wait. I was there for a very special occasion with my family, we were a large group of about 25 we called and made a reservation well before the occasion, we had pre ordered all our meals and also name checked them. The place was cozy and intimate, I asked the one of the owners for a drink for myself and my two boys (5 and 2) it took over 30 mins for this as the owner forgot to tell the waitress.2 hours goes by and my boys are hungry and getting antsy I took them outside for some body breaks but they still continued to get up and run the hall ways, the owner came by and told me the kids can t be in and out of this hallway as that s where the servers are which is fine, but honestly after 2 and half hours I was squirmy. I decided to take my kids and myself out of the celebration and asked for my food to go, I barely got that a family member had to run it out to me and when I got home.. it was the wrong order. I think it s absolutely disgusting that not only was a really special night ruined but then even after not getting my correct meals packed up i still had to pay 20% for auto gratuity. My family and I will definitely not be back. Kid-friendliness: Definitely don t want to take kiddos here. Too long of a wait for food. They get antsy.

Such a special place! Manny is so personable and the food is incredible. We got a tour of the pasta counter where everything is made from scratch, and with much love.

Ask for the cacio pepe. Absolutely delicious. Prepared at your table this spaghetti dish is amazing. As always Nyla and Manny made us feel very welcome.

Staff is really great, but pizza needs a lot of work. Add a bit of salt to your pizza dough, it is incredibly bland. Neapolitan pizza should not be loaded down with toppings, it should be light, easy to pick up and folded if desired. I picked up a slice and all the toppings slid off, you could use about half the amount of cheese. I avoid pizza from the major chains, sorry but this was no better. I truly want the local restaurants in Airdrie to succeed and thrive, please try harder.

Absolutely delightful place. Polite and welcoming staff that will serve you with a smile. The pizza is like a little piece of Italy away from home, simply delicious. Hands down the best in town. Give it a try, you will not regret it.

Fresh hand made pasta, ribeye cooked to perfection. Only one server for full restaurant. We are both former industry folks and it was nice to see staff step up and support. Will be back and will recommend highly. Need more independent restaurants in the sea of franchises that is Airdrie....

Food was excellent, but that is where it ended. We had to wait forever for everything. After a very long wait our drinks arrived without any garnishing whatsover - even the Pina Colada. Then it was a long wait for our meals. After waiting for dessert, only one was presented. Another wait for the second dessert. Will probably not return.

Im so happy such a great restaurant moved into an already beautiful space. The food was fantastic. I highly recommend Gigis spaghetti. Great wine list that sounds like it rotates for an exciting new selection fairly often. The Staff were great! Great personal experience that they made special for every table.

Hands down the best Italian restaurant I have been to. The food was unbelievable. Friendly owners and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Definitely returning here to keep trying the menu . Grazi grazi Ferraro

I was really hoping Id love this restaurant, after having read all the reviews, but overall it was just okay. The pasta tasted like it was from a box, and there was nothing exceptional about the flavor. It was fine, but could have been a lot more refined. Especially when you considered how fancy the place looks. We went with our 2 children, and they sat us in a back room of the restaurant (rather than the main restaurant) where there were several other family patrons. It seemed as though this separate room was meant to allow families to have a place where they didnt feel so awkward with young kids, while also preserving the atmosphere of the main restaurant for those patroms who didnt have children. I did appreciate this, as it took the pressure off a bit.
