Visiting from the UK and was relieved to find a decent fish and chip place The server was polite and attentive the food was amazing even the chips which in the UK I dont eat but at Joeys finished my plate Highly recommend only wish Id have took a pic of the food to share Definitely check this place out if your from the UK and want a little taste of home Joes will see you right

I m from England, we are known for excellence when it comes to fish and chips so you can imagine how high my expectations were, I was sadly disappointed, not much flavour to the fish, very watery, chips (fries) were good, once I added salt and vinegar. Overall could have done with some seasoning during the preparation of the meal and the gravy was very disappointing, a shame really, you can buy bisto gravy and it s lovely, tartar sauce just didn t hit the spot either. Fast service and greeted well, maybe the food would have been better if we didn t order to take-away.

I was here today never had an issue with the new owners till today i got cod cut it in haft and a puddle of water poured out the fish i turned it on its side and showed the waitress the water pouring our of the fish. Its really thrown me off to coming back. HUGE Difference from the other cook to this new guy. When I go for fish I want it to taste like fish not water . They offered to make me a new one and I declined as the first fish was full of water and I didnt think the next 1 would be much better. I really thought the new owner had got it all together I think hed better train his workers how to do the fish correctly Because the Cod was water logged

First visit: Food was great, their coleslaw is the best and so is their lobster bisque. Second visit: Service wasnt that great when I first went but the food was good so I tried it again! I paid 24$ for coleslaw and two lobster bisques as takeout. They said to wait ten minutes, I waited 30 minutes. They didnt have the container for the soup so we got 4 mini containers with the soup split. The coleslaw was 4$ and there was no joke, 4 bites in it. I love Joeys, but this place has the worst service and the prices are rediculous. I will never go back to this location.

We shared calamari which was unique and really good. Liked the seasoning on it. I had the shrimp dinner, it was cooked perfectly, and hit my craving for seafood! Delicious fish and chips. Hit the spot perfectly. Service was absolutely lovely. Kids loved their meals (quesadilla and rice and kids fish and chips with fruit cups). After new ownership, this place went from somewhere I would never return or say anything good about to a spot that I look forward to going and having as one of our regular dining options. Highest of quality food and great service is their new benchmark and it is so nice to see.

Came on June 16/24. Excellent meal! Really get what you pay for! The fish was massive, shrimp, calamari, and salmon were cooked perfectly! Unbelievably skilled chef! Love it here .

Let me just say that when I entered Joeys Seafood in Airdrie, it felt like i was grasped by my mothers sweet embrace, combined by the delicious and to-die-for seafood, it made for a memory I won t forget. The servers smile made the room light up, and her charismatic and her opinionated and insightful advice for food ideas made me a happy camper! I have already recommended Joeys seafood Airdrie to everyone in my extended family, as well as my friends and colleagues, it is just that good!

Heard the news, under new management. Thought we would try it and hoped they were making a difference. I tried the house fish and chips My partner the quesadilla. F&C were as good as ever. The quesadilla, not so. The kitchen burned the first, the server wouldnt bring it out. What did come out was a 6 soft taco shell sandwich with chicken and veg, no cheese, no pico de Gallo, no sour cream. Just this lonely 6, also might add was burnt, not toasted. Very disappointed, if they are trying to bring back this restaurants followers.

Me and my family went to Joeys the other day for dinner. It is under new management and the overall quality of the restaurant has improved immensely. It is definitely going to be my go to spot for fish and chips from now on.

Got fish and chips with japanese batter. The fish was very melty and delicious, the batter light with a hint of wasabi. 0 complaints about the food. Would have ordered a beer to go with the fish and chips, the menu literally recommends as much, but they did not have any at the time? Disappointing, but not a deal breaker.

Chloe was excellent very helpful and kind. Very impressed with the food. I am originally from the UK and this was better than the fish meals produced there. Best batter I have had In Canada. It was light and crisp and no hint of grease the fish was perfectly cooked inside.

The fish was great, it was fast and delicious. Loved that they left you an entire bottle of tartar sauce on the table! We had the haddock and pillock and both were perfectly battered. Kid-friendliness: My daughter loved it, she had the kids fish tacos and devoured them

Ive been going to this location ever since it was built about 20 years ago. It has had a few different owners/managers, with varying results. Just went in again (April 2024) and the new management there was doing really well. I liked the usual fish and chips. My wife orders something else with salmon and was expecting shrug-your-shoulders quality, based on what shes seen in the past. But this time it was excellent, both the fish and the vegetables. The service from the waitress and manager was also excellent.

10/10 under new management and the food is somehow better than last time. Very nice people work there too and the place was very clean. Will go again on thursday!

We quit going a couple years ago because the place wasnt clean, food not very good and staff not friendly. Heard it was under new management/ownership so gave it another shot tonight. Probably the best fish and chips in Airdrie, certainly a stalwart stand by. The current management team {April/24) seems to have the correct balance between front and rear of the house. My fish was cooked perfectly and they can expect me back.

Food was mediocre at best and Joeys Airdrie has taken is upon themselves to follow Calgarys bylaws of charging 15 cents a bag even though it does not apply to Airdrie, passing the expense off on the customer! Shame on you I wont be back

Ordered from Joeys online for the first time. There was an offer for buy one fish & chips, get the second one free. I hit the offer button, it showed my offer and then it said applied. I even took a screenshot. Went to pick up my order & apparently the second free order never got added. I told by the manager who gave me my order and he said it doesnt show that you added it. I showed him a screenshot & told him it said applied when ordered. He shrugged me off basically telling me too bad. Ordered other food - the sourdough sandwich which had barely any filling at all, the side of veg ( the carrots were literally like rubber) & the gravy had a strange off taste. Super disappointed in not only the customer service here but the food as well. ** For the record, I wasnt trying to apply a discount with a screenshot. I was showing my order! I walked in at 3pm and stood and waited for at least 5 minutes. I could see another person sitting at a booth so when he eventually got up to seat me I was shocked. Not a good look when the person whos in charge of seating and service is sitting and eating while a prospective customer is waiting. Also once food arrived I didnt see him again. No how is everything , no offers on drink refills. I wanted to order dessert but when they never come back its hard to do that.

Two stars is generous, place is old, dated, washrooms were disgusting, food was lacklustre to say the least and only one person doing everything, so from waiting tables to cooking, pretty sure there was no hand washing happening, would not recommend this place to anyone.

The restaurants tables were still sticky after a fresh wipe down and all the fish had an excessive amount of grease lef on the fish. The server was wonderful however I dont plan on returning to this Joeys Seafood in the future.

Will not be back! Came in to eat. Was served entree before appetizers and was half done before was checked on so I cancelled the Appy. The coleslaw tasted liked cabbage with mayo no zing to it at all. The chips were fried in really old oil and tasted of it. The fish though cooked nicely was bland. Our waitress was lovely but she does work there any more and was just helping out. The other server was awful as I observed him greet every customer with an attitude not fitting the service industry. Hes the one who delivered our entrees and when asked about the Appy I got a disgruntled the kitchen is busy so theyre just pushing out fish. Also the tables and condiment containers are so grungy dirty a simple wipe will no longer clean them. Everything needs a deep clean

June 11 went into Joeys at about 6:45. There was only one person working so he told us there was only takeout. We ordered the family meal with halibut. The batter and fish was overcooked and dry. The fries were overcooked as well. The whole meal smelled like old oil. Definitely not worth the $100 it cost.

The fish and chips were absolutely delicious the batter was nice and thin could actually taste the fish. The fries were done to a nice golden brow crispy yet soft in the middle. everything was piping hot and service was also very good.

We ordered the 5 apps from Joeys tonight. We live 10 minutes away ordered the food delivered it was 25 minutes late and stone cold when it arrived. Phoned Joey s to complain and the person on the phone said that s what happens when you order your food delivered he said if you want hot food either eat at the restaurant or pick it up yourself. So totally not acceptable.

Wait time here is absolutely ridiculous. And I am an overly patient person. But 1 hour after ordering to wait for food is a line!!!!! Especially when 2 tables get their food before you and you not only ordered first, but you sat down first. And their excuse is that it is their busiest day of the year. I get that, but people that ordered after us got their food. Beyond unacceptable.

Quite empty when we went on a Tuesday at 5pm. The food is alright (coming from someone who doesnt like seafood). The lobster Mac and cheese however is not recommended. We ordered the mud pie for dessert and it was one of the most delicious things Ive ever eaten in my life. I literally dream about it sometimes. If you love chocolate, you MUST try it!
