I am very disappointed with their food quality.I ordered for takeout yesterday half tandoori chicken and a burger, food was worst for ever, chicken was stale, and burger s patty was hard and tasteless .Customer service was very poor too, she should mention the item I order doesn t come with rice and nun..I will never go there to have food from there.

Consistently reliable, serving well made Afghani dishes. Best of all the owners are charming, pleasant and helpful. Dietary restrictions: We have dietary restrictions (dairy, severe nut allergies) and the staff are always very careful about how the food is prepared. On one of early visits, they even gave us a kitchen tour just to re-assure us!

Went today for the first time and we got chicken and sheesh wrap and both were delicious! The soup was a nice nostalgic home made soup that we all loved. Great service and clean restaurant

Happened upon this restaurant while shopping in Ajax. Very clean. Friendly host and tasty meals. We were a group of 3. We had their quabili rice, quarter chicken breast and thighs, soup and salad. Host surprised us with complimentary garlic naan and chicken barley soup. Price was good and portion size adequate. Will definitely eat here again.

Love this place! Their tandoori chicken wrap is mouthwatering and bursting with flavour. The yogurt/mint drink is delicious! Staff are friendly, trendy atmosphere with lovely cultural music softly humming in the background. My lunch buddy had the tandoori meal with salad, rice and fresh baked naan. There wasnt a single grain of rice when he was done haha. We both highly recommend. Thanks Maimama Naan & Kabab for a pleasurable lunch experience! We will definitely be back!

This is a great place to pickup. Love their food and their friendliness at the front. On all times Ive been here they have been pleasant, sure its their job but I had seen comments they werent so figured id mention. The other day I came by to pickup food while getting over being sick and no clue if it was because I sounded terrible but they gave me some soup with my meal which was actually delicious. Definitely something I pickup from there. I always try to go in or order direct as no need to give Uber or skip a cut of the money. Chicken, salad, all the kabobs Ive had are delicious; rice is good and their two sauces they give are both flavourful and with a zip of heat. Their bread is more on the thinner side of ones Ive had but it creates a different texture I love.

Stopped for a quick bite here and was extremely impressed by how clean the place was when I first walked in. Ordered two chicken skewers that came with some rice and salad and it was delicious. They were even kind enough to throw in a complimentary soup for our meals. Really enjoyed the quality of food and the hospitality of this place.

Masala Beef Burgers ARE BY FAR THE BEST IN ENTIRE GTA. The taste of the beef batty, the bread you guys have started using, the portion, ALL SUUUPERB!!!! Your burgers used to be good, but now there are EXCELLENT!! Big thank you for it!! Hameed here, and all the staff is beyond pleasant and wonderful.

Over all its ok. We order lamb shake. Its meat was really good. The rice was a little bitter test. I think they fried the added sugar in rice more than it should be. On other hand we also ordered some yogurt (Dogh) which was homemade. It was good but its salt was too much and we add some extra water in it.

And tharmaa loved the succulent kabob that he destroyed. My friend Jeffrey absolutely munched on a naan and Darcy demolished his chutney. Zuhaib said he was back in his homeland and divya especially slurped down every last drop of water. Alexis tore the Sikh kabob to shreds and Yasin ate his kabob like he was in the jungle. would recommend, felt like my mothers cooking .

The staff and Management are very welcoming and provide a warm atmosphere as well as excellent food which I always end up INHALING Would RECOMMEND this place over and over again. Try it, I doubt youll be sorry. Parking: Available parking always when we come here

It s was enjoyable however for the price point of $24 for a similar dish at other kebab places the quality can be better. There was a mistake with giving more rice instead of more salad. However they kindly gave me a salad to make up for this. Can t say I will be coming back soon.

Rice was warmed up in the microwave and was hard and old... the rice portion is so small compare to the other kabob shops. Plus since when does each skewer have four pieces of meat on it. Not worth the money. Dietary restrictions accommodated

My feedback would be to make rice more flavourful, it was a bit bland even with the kabob and salad.. and to make the naan more crispy.. I am comparing with other afghan and Persian cuisines around.. shish kabab was good.

Great wraps, really impressed with the taste of the wraps. Fries were a small portion but a great place to dine and sit in.

Sorry I really wanted to support the local business but this place is not for me. After trying Bamiyan, Afghan cuisine, Kandahar, Kako Kabab, and several other Kabab places I had higher expectation for home type Kabab shop. We went there at 8:45 and shop closes at 9:00 and so we were told at the cash dine in not an option. I m ok with that but if you serve someone else at 8:55 in the restaurant and they are likely going to be there until 9:00 or more then you could ve passed me too . $18 bucks for a meal, bland rice, average at best Kabab and the naan was just barely baked. I don t have pictures and quite honestly it wasn t presentable. Absolutely unpleasant and not impressed.

The food is amazing. Its traditional full of flavour and spices. The owner is super polite and super nice always great and excellent customer service from all the workers 10/10 would recommend this place any day. Thank you again for all the great food

On July/28/2023 I bought food the Kabab,chicken breast had no taste at all and the meat was so hard. I have ordered three containers food but they gave me the salad in one container which was only go with one container food like for the other two meals they didn t give us salad which was not fare if I gave them three separate orders per sure there is going to be enough salad for each meal since I ordered all three meals at the same time so they took advantage and put one meal salad which was very less. And the rice and Kabab and Brest was less compare to other restaurants like Kandahar Kabab, bamiyan kabab.

Food is very bad and tasteless please don t waste your money .we tried it for the first time and we will never dine here again anymore .

The food was sub par if I am being honest. It all tasted very dry and I mean anything that was ordered. I am not going back.

Food was extremely cold and the rice seemed old. The chicken was hard as a rock so i called to complain but the owner decided its my fault apparently that the food isn t fresh. Zero accountability for providing stale rice and bland chicken.

Our experience was excellent! The server Ruhi was very helpful and knowledgeable. We ordered the Lamb Shank meal, Eggplant Borani, and the Mixed Grill. We enjoyed our meal so much. My son is 2 years old... he can be a bit picky at times with food... from like certain things touching other foods.. it will bother him... now when I say that when he looked upon the HOLIEST OF PLATES THAT WAS BESTOWED ON TO HIM... this bhai nah know what HIT HIM!!! The guy behind the counter said the food is so good you ll come back. I said that is unlikely as we are just stopping on our way to home in Burlington. We had the food on our way home and just want to let the guy behind the counter know, yes we are definitely coming back!

One of the worst place i ever been. Food is tasteless, portions are very small. Price is too high compared to what you get. Its even worse than my moms cooking. I hope they will be out of business soon. If there were no stars, i could have given them.

Just excellent Kabab that we enjoy very much. The service is professional and friendly and the food is well prepared and tastes like its made at home. The wait time is minimal and the plaza has ample parking and a variety of businesses. Recommend the Beef Tikka and the Waziri Kanab but you cant go wrong with any choice at Maimana. Five stars .

For the price they charge, the quantity they give is very less. It takes 20 dollars to get your stomach filled, but to make a fairer point, the quality of the food is good when compared to the other economic options around.

Found plastic in my food bit right into it. Was pretty disgusting, had to throw away all the item I bought. Upon reading other reviews here I realized multiple people found suprises in there food.

Second time going there, hoping food would be better then the last time. Unfortunately the same. Tika very chewy and the portion of the food is very little. We ordered 2 dinner over $40 and yet not full had to grab a sandwich after. If you like Afghan food I highly recommend Bamiyan Kabob, kandar kabob or even Afghan cuisine across the street from them is much better and you will get a much better meal dont waist your money there. Trust me

The Dolma - Bell pepper stuffed with seasoned vegetables and beans simmered in tomato sauce - was both beautiful to look at and absolutely delicious. Environment is pleasing and people are really nice - all very inviting. Wish I had thought to take a picture to share here!

great food cooked with less grease then other restaurants of this cuisine with very friendly service! would highly reccomend. im coming from scarborough and it is worth the drive because all the other afghan places there have not been as convinient or have as healthy food.

This has to be the best place where I had Middle Eastern cuisine. Do not miss the mind blowing tandoori with naan. The kabab and Qabili rice tastes great too. The owner of the shop is so humble and showed great customer service, he also offered complimentary dessert as it was my wife s birthday. Highly recommend.

My mind is blown by the aroma, taste and amazing warm atmosphere. It felt like a family member was hosting us. You can taste and feel the passion for food in their cooking. The Qabili rice and the mixed grill platter is a total bomb. And my love for mantoo has been revived. Definitely coming here again and recommending to all food lovers. The owners know their cuisine in and out.

For the most part, pretty consistent and yummy. Ordered take-out and delivery from here multiple times and remains a staple meal in the area! Staff / owners are friendly and welcoming, even took our orders 10 minutes from closing. Chicken Tandoori is cooked perfectly all the time, nice and juicy. The beef kebab could be better - the beef is very lean so it has come out dry more than once. Salad is fresh and dressing is delicious. Portion could be a tad more considering the price range but quality is there. If youre deciding between their beef or chicken, go chicken! Place should be rated 4.5 minimum. Been coming for years and will revisit for sure.

Hanestly the food was not delicious the rice was not cooked properly the meat was so hard to chew it. And they charge us for serve 53$ the other maimana restaurants is totally deferent they cheaper and they Have more delicious foods and very good service . But not at this location They had not a good service . I recomed to not eat at this location.

This place is too expensive for what they serve. Their kabobs are so tiny and give you leas rice. The dressings were horrible. They charge over $18 for place of rice and chicken and has such less portions. Original Naan & Kabob is much better. Very disappointing never going here again

Food was totally dry especially the rice. It was as if they re-heated previously cooked rice. To make matters worse the price is on the steeper side especially given the very small portion sizes. Definitely not going back.

Im super picky and these are some of the best kababs Ive had in Toronto. My husband absolutely loves the beef and I highly recommend the Tandoori chicken. The spice is delicious and the chicken is cooked well and very moist.

I had a chicken dinner tonight and I was very dissappointed, the food is different, rice has a different flavor, yuck! This is an authentic Afghani restaurant with a surprisingly varied menu for a small location. While it was a walk up order, the gentleman who served us was pleasant, knowledgeable and clearly took pride in his business, answered our questions about the various dishes and confirmed our decisions. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, fresh and delicious! We had far more than we could eat, and had plenty to take home for seconds. We would happily return to this location and recommend to anyone.

Not sure if it s new owners but this place has gone waaay downhill. My family has been ordering from here since it opened years ago. Last few orders have been very disappointing. Chicken breast dinner was tough to chew and clearly reheated NOT fresh. The naan was cold and hard as a rock. My husbands burger bun was also very hard. Very disappointing for the money spent! A 10$ burger should taste like one. Never ordering from here again.

It s a bit priced 17,50$ for kabab and fries(no drinks) it was not a big portion but the quality was okay. Friendly people over there and hopefully they ll survive the corona period because it s a difficult time for restaurant owners right now!(2021) Now I m back after one year at this place and I met the owner Mr Wise,he makes a mixed grilled meal with rise a lot of meat etc etc and it was great So if you want quality homemade food than you ve to visit this place!
