Quick service, friendly but something about the Salmon. It just had a weird taste to it; the Salmon Sashimi, the Salmon Sushi and the Salmon Maki rolls. The taste was just not right.

I recently ordered takeout from here and was disappointed with the entire experience. The Pad Thai was bland, despite my request for extra spicy it came without any heat at all. The chicken teriyaki lacked flavor and was equally unimpressive. Overall, each dish was a miss, leaving me unsatisfied. If you re considering takeout from here, you might want to look elsewhere for more authentic and flavourful Japanese-Thai options.

Service was excellent - staff is really friendly. But the food is meh I enjoyed my bbq eel and avocado roll but found the teriyaki chicken and basil friend rice very inauthentic, tasted like cheap takeout. I did like how there was mango salad in the bento box, that was fun.

Not so impressive. Food was substandard. Meat items are NOT fresh and felt old. Very disappointed at least for my family. Little pricey but the quality wasnt tally. Again, this is to improve the service and food quality to earn the business with the food enthusiasts like me. The prime location is an advantage. Please use it.

When businesses rely on customers to put the menu online thats when i stop buying from them. It shows they dont really care about their business and have become lazy in regards... Service is always great.. Food is good as well.. My only issue is everytime I get takeout of the same dish, its never the same.. One day itll have veggies, no chilli.. The next time itll be cooked with lots of pepper making it very hot, no veggies... Etc. I getting concerned why the inconsistency in the takeout dishes.

Tried out this place 1st time. Appetizer was amazing, which led us to have high hopes on the mains. Unfortunately nahz. Not tasty enough. Service was really good, atmosphere wise i will say decent. I dont tink i want to return again. Sorry

Food is super! Service is excellent! Atmosphere is very good! Odine has been one of our favourite restaurants in Durham region. We ve been going there since their year one. They have kept their quality top notch! I always have their spicy tuna rolls as appetizer and a salmon bento box. It comes with freshly prepared grilled salmon and vegetables, along with California rolls, tempura, mango salad, rice and soup. It s always delicious! My hubby would try various sushi dishes and has never disappointed. Our whole family loves this place. Staff are always professional and friendly! The owner is always around and works hard. Price is very reasonable! Thanks for being here!

This is a good place to eat sushi and Tai food. The food itself is good but not extraordinary, and the costs are similar to Torontos restaurants, which is expensive if we consider the location.

My family and I have been coming here since this place first opened. The food is always great and the service is always ideal; friendly and attentive without being invasive. Theres something on the menu for everyone (I always go for a bento just for the sheer variety and value). It has a great cozy atmosphere as well. My go-to place whenever I eat out.

I have been buying food from Odines for about 10 years and now sadly it s time to find a new restaurant. Every time, I get treated like l am a new customer. No customer service, alway comes down to a quick phone number and what would you like to order. Prices have continuously gone up while food quality goes down. It is all about the money. Our last order was awful, food had no flavour and we won t be coming back!

The restaurant has 14 years of history and yet it keeps clean and cozy. Foods are delicious and fusioned with Thai and Japanese. It comes very helpful when the waiter speaks Cantonese and food can be customised for seniors. More, free yummy spring rolls during the celebration of 14 years of operation.

I don t normally leave reviews for places that I experience good service but this one is well deserved. My wife and I had placed an order through UberEats for our dinner. When the food arrived, half the order was missing. I called the delivery driver and they didn t seem interested in helping, so I contacted the restaurant. Without hesitation, the employee (maybe the manager/owner) looked into the issue and advised that the driver made and error and he would deliver it himself. We ve been coming to Odine for years and I greatly appreciate their response to this issue.

Got 3 dishes, price was $48. No rice. Ive never paid so much and got so little. I asked why no rice with the meals, and got no real answer. Had to make my own rice or pay $2.40 X 3.

Love ODINE! This is a favorite spot that I have frequented since they opened. They offer a full Japanese menu and a full Thai menu. The atmosphere is trendy and upbeat. The owner is super friendly. I was there a couple of days ago and had a new server. He was a lovely young fellow. Polite, professional, and attentive. He was soft-spoken and I didnt catch his name but great job! I send people here all the time. Its a great spot because youre greeted with a smile, the service is wonderful and the food is high quality and delicious. I always look forward to dining here. The miso soup is the best in town! Their house salad dressing is also a must have! I highly recommend this establishment. Go ODINE!

Had the salmon teriyaki bento lunch special. Yum!! Firstly, price is amazing. Secondly, portion is perfect and they did not skimp. Includes veg tempura and Mango salad as a nice touch. Thirdly, exceptional customer service. Bravo Sad that I don t live in this city but I will surely be back.

It s been years since I ve gone to Odine and the food quality continues to be excellent. We had the lunch Salmon Teriyaki bento box and Red curry chicken. We went just as they had opened at 11:30am, and maybe that s why the restaurant was really cold.

Went to dinner with some good friends of ours. They recommended Odine. They frequently dine there. Was just as good as they described. Their mixed drinks are fresh and made on the spot, they taste amazing. The food options are endless and all very good. The service was kind and very quick with our food. Everything was great.

Im new to the area and my sister suggested trying Odine Japanese & Thai Fusion. I come from Thornhill/Markham area with lots of asian food and wanted to find some asian restaurants nearby. We were seated at a booth, which was nice and intimate. Good for having conversations as theres less noise. The servers were all super nice and helpful. I happened to be on an elimination diet and couldnt eat gluten. Ive never had to ask for gluten free before, but they were very accommodating and had quite a few dishes that could be made gluten free. We learned that they also make all their sauces from scratch, which was nice. We ended up ordering the South Thai fried rice and the Thai spicy noodle. Because of the gluten free sauce in the Thai spicy noodle, it looked quite bland and pale. But it was so tasty! Both dishes were delicious and made my first gluten free experience enjoyable. The portions were very decent and we had some left over to take home. Service was amazing. We got our hot water always refilled and got extra napkins whenever we needed. The only thing I wish was that they closed later. They close at 9pm on a Friday, which is way earlier than Im used to. Would I come back here again? Definitely. I cant wait until Im done the diet so I can try the Tom Yum fried rice!

Ordered the Sushi + Sashimi + Maki party tray tonight. Sashimi is fresh and tastes good. Portion sizes are generous! The Sushi rice is nicely seasoned and cooked well. Our Party tray included spicy tuna, California, and a salmon roll maki. They were all very good. Odine is a great place to grab Japanese food and sushi in Ajax. There are other sushi places in the area now with more variety, but for the price and quality Odine is great!

Great restaurant, first time here just found it while in the area. Shows how just being friendly and acknowledging customers goes a long way. They were pretty busy with takeout but they still took the time to notice us and get us a table. The server was very friendly and kept making sure we had everything we needed. Even though it was busy the staff was so friendly that you didnt notice if you were waiting. The food did come out fairly quickly. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. Good portions. The sushi was excellent. We got a dinner for 2 meal for $35 and we got so much food. I will definitely be coming back here.

Delivery- Bangkok pad Thai is nothing like what we ve had in Bangkok. It was wet, mushy and too sweet. Noodles in black bean sauce vs their other flat noodles dish tastes the same. Salmon hand rolls were good and fresh. One time customer wouldn t try again with so many other options out there.

My family and I have been going to Odine for years. Delicious Japanese food, perfectly prepared, and served quickly and courteously. The decor and atmosphere are very calming---and my family needs all the calmness we can get!

The service was good. The food was mediocre, I wouldnt come again. The restaurant says Japanese and Thai fusion but has so many Chinese dishes and some Korean options. The menu is too large. They need to decrease the number of dishes and focus on making the best authentic tasting food.

Just had a skip order and wow! Fresh, flavourful, lots of options for carnivores and herbivores alike. Service was fast and hot and they gifted two bowls of the best hot n sour soup I ever had! Vegetarian options: I had the vegetable tempura and Thai basil rice and vegetable spring rolls. Hot n sour soup is truly to die for.

Great selection of delicious food, both Japanese and Thai. The lunch menu is a great price with large portion sizes. You will not be disappointed! The waiter is a bit nervous with large groups (we had 13 people) but they were friendly and the other staff pitched in to ensure that we all were well-served and received our food quickly and at the same time.

This place says it closes at 9 pm we arrived at 815 and were told they were closed for dine in . These places that do this dont realize that customer service is not just serving food its also entertaining the proper hours of business if u claim to be open till 9 we should be able to come in up to 9 or say u close at 8 pm so I dont waste my time driving from scarborough to ajax to be told ur are closed . The worst customer service is when u get no service . We will never go back and will never recommend to any one ..... it is a sit in spot but u cant sit in at the hours they claim to be opened .... this was a total dissapoinent ....

Best service I ve ever had at a restaurant! I m vegetarian and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was ok with all the ingredients, and made substitutions for things I couldn t eat. The chef came out and made sure the food was okay, and everyone was so kind! The food was amazing, definitely will return! Both myself and my grandmother were super super impressed with our visit :)

Spicy Salmon roll, pad tie and general tao is out of this world. They never disappoint. Always hot fresh and food comes quickly. Its a nice Gem in Ajax.

Went in expecting decent Thai food. Ordered the Thai coconut soup which tasted like sugar water and Im not exaggerating. Ordered the Har Gao dumplings which was the only decent thing there. Ordered green curry chicken and it was very average. Super watery. For dessert ordered their mango coconut rice and lets just say there is nothing Thai about it! Service and the restaurant decor/ ambiance was nice.

I ordered three sushi rolls and they were very delicious. The order was ready for pickup in 15 minutes. The place was nice and clean as you would expect from a sushi place. The quantity was just right. Vegetarian options: They have quite a few vegetarian option just like any other sushi place. Parking: Parking is right in front of the restaurant.

I feel this food here has improved significantly, so Im gonna make another review. The teriyaki chicken bento box is excellent! The chicken is tender, rice is fresh, salad has a nice kick but I want more dressing lol. The best part of the bento box is the gyoza......love it and always order extra. This is our favorite regular restaurant! The food is always fresh and tasty and the staff are all wonderful.

Great service. The food was acceptable, but not exceptional. I suppose my expectations and discriminating pallette wasnt wowed. Too much waste of Styrofoam plates, plastic cups, cutlery, and table covering, which I dont believe is very environmentally responsible. They even provide plastic straws with the water in plastic cups ! They dont bother asking if you want a straw. At least ask me, and I would refuse. I also had my reusable stainless water bottle, full of filtered water, I couldve bought had I known. But none of the reviews mentioned this. They do charge $1 pp for the disposable stuff. Whichn9 dont mind, but its really bad for the environment. Im not going back until they stop using disposable stuff. Just me, but the food was okay. Nothing that wowed me. Server and owner were polite. Its first come first served. No reservations over the phone, and its steady busy. We waited outside 15 minutes for a table for max 4 FYI.

Stuff is friendly, but food we tried are not worth to have them again. Pad Thai just like regular rice noodles. Appetizer Korean-style grilled short ribs are very thin comparing to other places with same price. Some sashimi are not that fresh.

Have been going here for years since it opened. Also, since the pandemic, have ordered from them so many times and have experienced the best delivery experience. All my family prefer Odine over any other restaurant. I have never been disappointed - always pleasantly surprised.

Very very friendly customer service. Lots of choices on the menu. Thai / Japanese food. I tried their Bento boxes which are very big portion. Appetizers and soup are good. For every $25 spent, one free $5 appetizers. Very very good deal.

Used to be great, but they have let the quality fall. I just had an order of chaing mai noodles with chicken & shrimp. The chicken was missing (not a big deal) and the shrimp were off. The texture of the shrimp was mushy which apparently means bad shrimp. Chicken missing? Stuff happens. Using bad shrimp? Thats lazy and sloppy and not worth risking again. Permanent ban.

I treated my sister and her family for dinner at Odine and was very disappointed with the service. We had a 7:30pm reservation, and all 6 of us got there on time. The restaurant was relatively empty and seemed properly staffed, they still took 30minutes to take our appetizer order and another 20 minutes after that to take our dinner order. Once the food arrived, they rushed us out of there for their 9pm close inspite of the last dish arriving at 8:50pm. My sister lost her son recently and I was attempting to brighten up the families mood. Needless to say to say that did not happen. Note to Restaurant - if a 7:30pm reservation is too late to properly service, refuse the reservation.

The bento box offer a mixture of Japanese and Thai cuisine. The sashimi variety was good even in with the bento box, I especially like the scared Tuna with the Osaka set. The Thai style bento boxes were great too, it is one of the few restaurants I struggle to finish the Thai bento box. Current there is a promotion for every $25 ordered there is $5 that can be spent on appetizers. So far I have tried the satay chicken, Thai fish cakes and scallops nuggets. Will revisit to try the other appetizers.

Great fusion of Thai and Japanese food. They have an expansive menu. Food was yummy, especially the bento boxes. But what requires a special mention is the amazing customer service. Our server was very friendly and gave suggestions that turned out to be awesome. We also did not have to wait much for the food to arrive. Overall, good experience.

We have ordered vegan fried rice and pad thai here and they were amazing. They said 55 minutes for delivery and we got the food in 25 minutes. Very happy with the service, food, packing and delivery.

Definitely my favourite a la carte places. Cant beat the price, and the food always tastes fresh. Our waiter took our order off memory alone, and that was quite impressive (there was 4 of us!)

Authentic and exceptional service. The quality and attention to detail for the plating was absolutely impressive.

A little over priced for the quantity of food. The sushi is very rice heavy with very little of everything else. Sushi taste wise was bland. The Chang Mi noodles were tasty;however it was a very small portion for the price.

Odine has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Durham for Thai food. Their curry dishes are very good and their is a wide variety of excellent Thai dishes. I really like their street style pad thai as well as their curry flavored pad thai. Their seafood stir fry with XO sauce is amazing especially when you ask for spicy! Aside from Thai, they also have many options for Japanese including very good sushi. You can order combos with both Thai and sushi which my wife really enjoys. Recently, I have been ordering their food for pick up but the dining area is very pleasant and they are licensed for liquor which is a bonus. Any time I have dined in has been a great experience with reasonably good service.
