We had the pleasure of being served by Seair during our visit to Crepe Castle and his service was exceptional! If you are in Ajax, stop by Crepe Castle, highly recommend it.

The food was really good and there was no after affect. If you normally go to breakfast places, typically I find my stomach hurts but the food gave me no post breakfast tummy ache!

I tried two Sundays to go there and wait time is super high. I have no appetite to go from Whitby to Ajax and wait for so much to get a seat. If they have less seats, they can keep some reservation. I am not trying anymore with this restaurant

Very Arrogant staff now, because of the success. We have visited the this place about 5 times before and had a good experience. But now the success has made them very arrogant. They just want people in and out like objects. We asked a simple query about a the choices regarding the menu to place an order and the service staff got get very annoyed. The service definitely has plunged. The food is good, but I would not sacrifice my day that gets ruined because of the lousy attitude towards us, which is served a lot more than good food, presently.

Food is okay. Minus 2 stars because potatoes were too seasoned/salty. I just want some plain old potatoes with ketchup please. I don t want so much seasoning for breakfast.

We had such a delicious brunch. Our first time coming to the restaurant but know we will be back again and again. So many great options on the menu, we went with crepes a sweet fruit one and a savoury one. So good, portions are large, coffee is a thermos for you to enjoy as you like. Food was for sure not as advertised. Fruit tasted a week old and 2 things from the order were not correct. Server didnt check in ever, we had to look for her to ask for water and to correct the drink/food etc. never offered more hot water for the small tea for $2.75. Overpriced and not great!

Update, was in the hospital and got properly diagnosed with gastroenteritis. I had symptoms within 3 hours of eating here and dispelled pretty much my body weight in fluids and chunks. Please take proper sanitary methods so that no one else has to go through what I did. I couldve actually died. Parents then got it through me, not a fun week. Missed work and functions. Had the strawberry and banana custard crepe an orange juice and a water.

Crepe Castle offers a welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. Their menu has tasty food at reasonable prices. It s the perfect restaurant for a delicious breakfast. Highly recommend!

Of all the brunch places Ive been, this is a top contender. I loved the value for the amount of food given, and I also loved the variety. I got cinnabon pancakes, fruit, bacon, homefries, scrambled eggs, and a water. Almost everything was great. I dont even usually like pancakes but those pancakes were so good. The only thing I disliked were the scrambled eggs. They were way too runny. I couldnt eat them at all so I gave them to my mom. When I go back, if I decide to get eggs again, I will definitely ask to have them cooked well done. After the pancakes, the best part was the homefries. I am obsessed with them. I will have to ask for homefries to go for the next time I go. I actually went here on Canadas Day, July 1st, 2024, so this review is kind of late lol But Ive been going to a lot of brunch places with my family lately and I cant stop thinking about this place so I thought it would be best to leave a review.

We had breakfast here after seeing the high rating on Google but ended up disappointed. The service is average which is fine, but the food was not good. The eggs in the Benedict were not seasoned which was disappointing because they were cooked perfectly. Another downside though is they were covered in the hollandaise that didn t taste like anything either except for margarine. The fruit slices had no bite and were soft like they were sitting out for a day or longer. The whole dish was cold except for the fruit which was so weird. The inside is a little deceiving as the booths and decor on the side that you walk in are cute, but on the other side they have tables with white/light coloured leatherette chairs that are so filthy with visible stains that are multiple shades of gray. Overall would not recommend this place to anyone unfortunately.

My husband and I had brunch here today. Food - was excellent! Super tasty and good portions. Service - garbage. Our server provided service that was below the bare minimum, in my opinion. When they brought out the cup of coffee I ordered, they brought it without providing any milk or cream, and no spoon for mixing (didn t ask me if I needed any of these either, just ran away after dropping it off). I waited an additional 10 mins to flag down my waiter and ask for milk/cream, but before I could also ask for cutlery, he ran away. I then waited again to ask for a spoon to stir my coffee lol. Throughout our meal, he would saunter back and forth near our table while doing his best to avoid eye contact with any of his tables. Unless you were willing to shout, it was hard to get his attention. Atmosphere - We were also seated in a section where they crammed 4-5 tables together. It was so difficult to maneuver around the tables without accidentally knocking over something on a neighbouring table or brushing up against someone. A group of girls near our table were loudly complaining about how they felt suffocated, since they had us packed in like sardines LOL. The floors were also filthy - jam and other foods smeared over the floor. Overall, the dining experience was very mid. If you are looking for a good brunch spot in the area that has some Middle Eastern food options, I would strongly recommend Eggstatic over this spot.

A great Halal Breakfast Place. We enjoyed Breakfast with our Friends here, loved the Bamiyan Skillet and Karaee Skillet here. Coffee was awesome. Our server Mujhda was super nice and ensured we were comfortable and enjoying our time here. Strongly recommended.

The service at Crepe Castle Ajax is really bad. We waited 15 minutes to have our orders taken and it took them 15 more minutes to bring us water. The servers were rude and they got our orders wrong.

I was really excited to dine here after reading all the positive reviews but I had left disappointed at the extremely slow service I received and the lack of cleanliness in certain aspects. Service - I dined early Sunday morning when there were still multiple empty tables yet our server was not attentive at all. It took several minutes to place our order and even several more to pay and leave. We had to kindly asked other staff to flag down our server as we wanted to get the bill but this too took forever. The frustrating bit is the amount of staff clearly seeing that we were waiting to order or waiting to pay and none of them communicated with each other. Cleanliness - There was dust/grease on the condiment jars and containers. The hot sauce bottle was sticky. There were servers carrying plates, talking to each other, and dropping food with other staff simply walking by it. Food - Its ok. The fruits were decent. The tunacado was greasy with little avocado. Overall theres potential for Crepe Castle (Ajax) to improve and Im hopeful that theyll address the above.

What a lively and interesting crepes place! My friend and I met up for brunch and we decided we were in the mood for crepes, so we walked right in. The place opens so early in the morning, so by the time we got there (around 11AM) we had to get on a waitlist before getting our table around 20 mins later which was no big deal. Super friendly servers, and delicious crepes! I saw a sign saying coffee gets free refills but we were saving our stomach for bubble tea later, so we didn t try. As we were leaving there was a huge line up outside, so I guess I d recommend arriving earlier in the day to avoid the crowds, if you re not a fan of waiting.

There was a long wait time since this is a smaller location. Our group tried the Karayee Skillet, Bamiyan Skillet, Tarkari Skillet, Chicken Benedict, and Pancakes. While the food was good, the service could have been better. We had to ask for coffee and creamer refills multiple times, and by the time they arrived, we were almost ready to leave. Dietary restrictions: Many Halal and Vegetarian options are available

Crepe Castle Restaurant Ajax Located on Salem Road and Taunton Road in Ajax. This is a newly opened breakfast-lunch restaurant (they close at 3pm per our server). Part of a chain of restaurants (franchise). We wanted to try this place after reading the positive on-line reviews. Food: The Dukes Panini, a rolled crepe with egg, ham, bacon and cheddar cheese, home fries, fruit Eggs Florentine, Eggs benedict style, with Hollandaise sauce home fries, sausage, seasonal fruit We paid approximately $54 including tip, for 2 orders and 2 coffees. Restaurant decor was modern and colorful; clean floors, etc. We came on a weekday morning, around 10am. Server was prompt, polite. We didn t like the food. Based on our previous experiences with 3 well-established breakfast places in this area, Symposium (Ajax), Coras and Perkins (in Pickering), we found the food not-as-freshly prepared. The crepe used to wrap the Dukes Panini was dry, like it was made beforehand and possible stacked on the grill. We were used to Coras where you can see the cook make the crepe and then the assembled order was brought to your table. On the Eggs Benedict (Eggs Florentine), the Hollandaise sauce is made out of powdered mix. Half a century of dining and travelling world-wide, and working restaurant lines in my younger days, and I can tell, smell, and taste the differences between a powdered sauce mix and freshly made sauce. The sausage was also of lesser quality. We also noticed Crepe Castle uses melamine (a form of hardened plastic) plates, which I definitely do not prefer over a porcelain plate. For the same breakfast costs, if Symposium, Coras and Perkins (all breakfast restaurants) can afford to use real (non-melamine) plates, so can Crepe Castle. We feel many short-cuts were taken, sacrificing taste and flavor for pumped up on-line reviews and a snazzy atmosphere. The fruit included in each order was appreciated, and the potato breakfast fries were crispy. Sadly, the main courses didnt live up to the on-line reviews (for us). So the search continues, but our perennial favorites, Coras, Perkins and Symposium, still deliver good taste and good value.

There are very good breakfast options with generous portions, but the flavor of the food could be improved.

Are you one of those special people who could eat breakfast all day, every day? Do you look at eggs and think Yea, thats what I want for dinner. Well then, you are in luck! Crepe castle is exactly the establishment for you! They serve breakfast food, all day every day! How IS the food here? Its just okay as far as breakfast places go. They dont have any crazy stacks of pancakes or waffles, The plates are larger than the portions, which makes the dishes look strangely empty. There is no nice plating, and everything looks like it was put together by amateurs. At the end of the day, at least prices arent terrible and if youre hankering for breakfast food, then give this place a shot!

Nice restaurant and equally nice staff. We decided to try something new and was very happy with the choices of reasonably priced skillets. Iced latte was delicious and coffee came hot and was presented in a mini carafe....great idea for coffee lovers! We ordered the skillets: Bamiyan Skillet: eggs with beef salami, tomatoes, onions, chives, chili peppers and feta cheese. Karayee Skillet: eggs with seasoned ground beef (absolutely delicious) tomatoes, chives and chili peppers. Both with a side of Naan.

Exceptionally poor service due to understaffed restaurant. Fruit flies congregating on walls - quite disgusting. Waited thirty minutes to have someone see us, and another thirty minutes just for the bill. Food is quite mediocre.

Honestly Im such a fan of this place! When we had gone in, it was really busy and we had been placed on a waitlist but it wasnt that long at all. Our server was amazing making sure to answer any questions and make our service great. My husband had gotten the Karayee Skillet and Berry Banana pancakes. I had gotten the Royal #4 with Cinnabon Pancakes. This place is such a vibe and very aesthetically pleasing as well. I will definitely be coming back to try a few more items I had seen on the menu!

Walking in and being seated, I had to wipe the table and clear crumbs off my seat. I checked the washroom....the walls and doors can use some cleaning(human matter on the walls in the stall) doors outside and inside dirt. As for the breakfast the potatoes had a weird texture, and the crepe wasnt made properly. Dont eat the ketchup! If you like the flavour of heniz...it say heniz on the bottle put it is not! Super sour and tangy! I waited a whole 10 mins to get my bill!... the Oshawa location is better!

The only feedback is the karayee skillet pans have teflon bases, and the metal spoons provided scratch the material into our food. They should provide special ladels to use on these pans for the safety of the customers and the longetivity of the pans Food

Potatoes were well seasoned with their special seasoning and not overpowering. They have halal, vegetarian and kid friendly options. Its a good place to get a good breakfast. The only thing they need to work on is the vegetarian part of their menu, because its not really diversefied. Vegetarian options: Not so many.

Their fries were really good, very crunchy and flavorful. Ill probably come for the fries again, definitely worth it! The rest of the food was okay. We had the duchess crepe and karayeee skillet. The skillet had a heavy tomato sauce flavor, felt like the tomato sauce overpowered the eggs and the ground beef. They also didnt have any chicken Benedict left which was disappointing. I visited Crepe Castle last weekend, overall great experience, loved the food, great halal choices also, was happy overall, will come again with family.

The skillet was great (5/5), the royal plate 2 with the strawberry banana waffle was okay (3/5). The waffle wasnt that great. The prices were fair overall and a nice atmosphere.

We visited Crepe Castle in Ajax today, but unfortunately, our experience fell short of our expectations. The kids ordered crepes and husband and myself, skillet dishes. The crepes were OK. But unfortunately the sunnyside up eggs on my Takari skillet, were not up to safety standards, as they had runny centers but also raw runny egg white. The waitress apologized and took the dish back to the kitchen to be remade and returned with the same dish that had been placed under a broiler. To cover up the burnt avocado it appeared they simply turned it over. Im disappointed I did not take any photos but will definitely not be subjecting my family to this quality of food again.

Seen this restaurant on Instagram & I was not disappointed! I tried the Tunacado sandwich & it came with a side of fruits. Only thing I didn t like was I specifically asked to not have honeydew melon & that happened to be the majority of the fruits I got. Easy fix was to eat around it, but if I had an allergy, staff should be more cautious of customers requests. The sandwich though was amazinggggggg, the bread was toasted a bit much and cut my mouth up, but it was SO good that I suffered through the pain. They have options for every type of breakfast love and I love that for us! I cannot wait till I go back and try more things. Also the prices are super affordable! Highly recommend this restaurant!

A breakfast restaurant with an instant tik tok/ insta atmosphere and feel based on the decor and neon sign. This worries me sometimes because now Im hoping the food can live up to the created atmosphere - Im happy to report the food as well as serving portions were right on the mark for a newish breakfast spot in Ajax. Service was pleasant and attentive which added to the positive dining experience. Though we had to make some food substitutions (due to a food allergy/sensitivity) that caused the server some confusion but she managed to recover from it quickly. Our meals had sufficient food on them - from the circular cut fries to the mound of fresh fruits everything was very propositioned and worth the money paid for them. Special mention goes to the chicken chapli kebab that was a menu surprise and added a savoury and spicy touch to a north american breakfast meal. We ordered fresh juices but they missed the mark and the freshly squeezed orange juice felt like it was refrigerated before it was served. The plain crepe was a bit overdone and leathery and definitely needed some syrup on it to help it become more appetizing. The restaurant fell down a little on the fact that they dont have too many gluten free meal options and could benefit from introducing some to their extensive menu. Overall a solid breakfast restaurant in the Durham region that is family friendly and has a pleasant morning dining experience.

Food was absolutely phenomenal! Love seeing spots with halal options pop up in the east end of Toronto! Definitely a hidden gem of a spot! Eggs were cooked great and there s a variety of sweet and savoury dishes on the menu. Perfect for weekend brunch with the fam!

We waited for 50 mins for the food after ordering. The utensils they first gave us were so dirty so that was obviously very gross. We ordered the Bamiyan skillets, Royal plate #1 and Royal plate #4. Everything tasted bad except the potatoes. Even the bread wasnt toasted properly. The fruit was not fresh and the crepes and waffle were cold. The eggs were not seasoned at all. Everything tasted really bad. I cant believe this is so highly rate. Save yourself the time and money and go to Coco Frutti in Oshawa if you want a good breakfast that will make you happy. We all left very disappointed and still hungry. When we told the waiter that the food was terrible, she just said Im sorry.

After a lengthy wait of nearly an hour, our meal finally arrived. We had selected the Bamiyan skillet, along with Royal plates #1 and #4, expecting a delightful dining experience. Regrettably, the experience was far from satisfactory. To start, we were provided with dirty silverware, which already set a poor tone for the meal. The only item on the table that was somewhat enjoyable were the potatoes; everything else failed to meet our expectations. The bread was not toasted properly, the fruits were stale, and the crepes and waffles arrived cold. The eggs were utterly tasteless, lacking any seasoning. The overall flavor was disappointing, contradicting its high ratings. Our dissatisfaction was met with a simple apology from the waitress, which did nothing to alleviate our frustration and lingering hunger.

So, we waited like forever...we picked out some items, thinking it was gonna be super awesome. But, oh boy, it was a big mess from the get-go. First off, they gave us dirty forks and knives, which is just eww, right? I mean, who does that? The potatoes were kinda okay, but thats about it. Everything else was just bleh. The bread wasn t even toasted right it was like they just forgot about it. And the fruits? Yuck, they tasted like theyd been sitting out for days. But the worst part was the crepes and waffles. They were cold! For a place thats supposed to be famous for its crepes, these were definitely the crummiest crepes Ive ever had in Durham. And the eggs, oh, the eggs... they didnt taste like anything. It was all super disappointing. Avoid!!
