Stopped in here for Breakfast for the first time with the family and can say I will definitely be returning. We got the early bird breakfast which was amazing value for money. The food was great and Dawn was amazing from start to finish ensuring we were well taken care of.

Delicious and generous portion for breakfast. Service is warm and casual. Dawn is wonderful! Great waitstaff.

This is a go-to breakfast place for us. We love going after hockey games. Portion sizes are large and we always take some home with us. Lots of options for different Benedicts. Parking: Always spots available Kid-friendliness: Lots of options for everyone. They also have a breakfast with Santa day on Dec. 23.

I usually order from skip the dishes for this place but decided to head to the actual restaurant with my family for a change. The food is even better the service is awesome. Huge portions and very tasty Highly recommend this breakfast place!!

Another great early bird ($7.99) breakfast experience at Blue Rooster. Eddie is amazing behind the grill. First time being served by Sashana and she was quick, attentive and very cheerful and friendly considering it was 7am. Great customer service and breakfast was perfect. Very generous portions. $12 taxes in for 3 eggs over easy, bacon (extra crispy), grilled home fries, rye toast and unlimited coffee. Only negative was my waitress forgot to bring the baked beans which was included in the early bird breakfast (it s ok, not a big deal). Have been here many times and will continue to come back.

Recently came here for brunch over the weekend. Maybe we got the servers on a bad day, but we definitely did not experience the stellar service that others have raved on about. Upon sitting down, it took more than 5min for someone to acknowledge us, where I merely had to flag someone down to grab our order. Not one of the servers introduced themselves. Had to ask for a coffee refill, meanwhile, the other lady was going around other tables offering refills but ours. Then our food took over 40min to arrive. Thankfully, I was able to keep my hungry toddler busy. Ive been to many breakfast restaurants and weve never had to wait that long. Then the server forgot to switch my bread for pancakes, even though we both nodded in agreement when she took my order. Not one follow-up after receiving our order. It was so off-putting that we didnt end up finishing our food there and took it home. I shouldve stuck to my first plan of going to Angeliques instead. Even if I did have a better experience, I dont see the whole rave about the Blue Rooster.

Feels like a small town diner. Busy little place with exceptional staff. There was a bit of a hiccup with the ordering system on the day of my visit that caused some delays with the food but our waitress Ana was so sweet and apologized for the wait. She was very hospitable and sincere and the food was amazing. Considerably large portions. Great coffee. Great service. Great food.

Eggs Benedict were sweet, tasted awful. Seems they added too much vinegar when poaching, it was inedible. Also the Benedict sauce is definitely the powdered type and not made in house, really gross tasting. Benny was not good, fries were good, service was very decent, portions are big.

I have had the eggs benny at least 50 times & loved them every time . I have recently lost a lot of weight so took my wife here for breakfast for the first time in a long time & it was even better than ever .Massive portions served by our waitress Dawn who seems to have some for of esp because she has stuff ready before I even ask . One of the best places around. Dining room staff tend to be swamped and could use more help. Could wait up to an hour for a table. 2024 - under new management - old management working by the hour.. The cooks have no idea how to cook eggs. For a place that has 90% precooked, it still takes an incredible amount of time to get your eggs. The service has declined over the years as well. They lost another long-time customer.

Spontaneously went here for a late brunch. The food was good but the service by Sasha was horrible. She forgot to put in our order and informed us after 40 minutes (offered us a hot chocolate for making us wait...). We asked for a take out box 4 times and the bill twice. She wasnt very friendly or responsive.

My family and I have been coming here for several weeks on Sundays for lunch. We always have amazing service and the food is really great! Last week on Mother s Day, we had a short line to wait in to get a table and it was worth the wait. Sasha was our waitress and let me tell you, the place was packed and still she was able to give us excellent service. All the mothers were given a rose and a chocolate too. On Mother s Day, we want to the blue rooster for breakfast as we do most Sundays. There was a short line to get in, but worth the wait. Sasha was our waitress and she was swamped, as was the rest of the staff. They all went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed coffees filled, a rose for my wife. The atmosphere there is usually amazing because we are treated just like family. We went again this Sunday and once again had exceptional service from Sasha and the rest of the staff.

This place is amazing. We went by after clearing the snow last Saturday. Usually we get take out but we opted to dine in this time. We got our usual of 3 eggs, sausages, home fries, coffee. The food is great, the staff were wonderful. The coffee was good and kept on coming. We will definitely be heading back soon.

Hidden gem in Ajax! Most omelets with avocado you have a few slices or maybe a few chunks. Here I had avocado in every bite. You could also see and taste the other veggies. Our coffee cups were refilled after each drink we couldnt keep up. Will definitely be back.

Gross, selling your customs stale food is bad practice. Its not a skill to know when food been sitting for awhile, especially meat. Musty and rancid, just awful. Whoever has sent me this message.I guess its the owner, trying to convince me that they have NO FROZON FOOD Yeah sure!! and everything is fresh!!! I should have had you taste the food that day before giving it to my children. Please dont try to convince me that NONE of your food is frozen... To be honest the way that meat tasted that day, I wouldnt be surprised if you guys did have it out in warn temperatures for long periods of time , Please read your reviews and you will see that someone else has complained about your meat and it tasting rancid. Just bloody awful! No thank you.

We went for breakfast. They have multiple options for hash browns. Most only have 1! The eggs were perfectly cooked for my wife. Coffee seems to be never ending. The waitress was personable. Good place to go for breakfast.

Lived in Ajax most of my life and today was my first time trying The blue rooster. I wish I had found this place sooner. The food was great and came fast and our server, Dawn was absolutely fabulous. She was very pleasant and even though the place was very busy she was always checking in to see if we were okay. Definitely would recommend and will return

My new favourite breakfast place in, Ajax. Super friendly staff. Dawn, Anna and Sasha are all amazing. The cooks are always smiling and saying hello as well! They were able to accommodate my order for a gluten allergy reason. The portion sizes were fantastic and everything was cooked the way it s suppose to be. Great atmosphere inside as well. Its exactly what you expect - good breakfast diner with very reasonable prices. Decor is homey, service is relaxed. Pretty standard, nothing fancy or imagination, but good if thats what you are looking for. Definitely our default go-to breakfast spot, although I do think they serve lunch and dinner as well. I think they have a morning breakfast special till 10am on weekdays for 8$. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly options available

Located in a industrial feeling area but easy to find with plenty of parking. Restaurant is bright and clean. We were promptly greeted and everyone we spoke with was polite and pleasant and friendly. Orders around the table were Spanish, Philly and Classic Bennys, side pancakes and French toast and Blue Rooster combo. Ive been to many breakfast places and peameal bacon is always on the bottom of my fav list because its usually dry and chewy. Peameal bacon here is juicy and tender. Even the wife said the same thing. Pancakes were light and fluffy without that thick batter feel. French toast was one of the best Ive had. Fluffy, light and has that eggy taste I like. The Bennys were also well liked around. Hollandaise sause was very creamy and did not have that tangy taste that some places have. Cant wait to come back and try the rest of their menu. Really wish I had stomachs like a cow! Was too hungry and only remembered to snap a pic mid meal.

Decided to go out for breakfast with my family for the first time in a long time over the weekend. Immediately when we started searching for places, our minds went to the big franchise breakfast joints. We decided to do something different and try a place we ve never been before. We decided to come to The Blue Rooster and mannn we were not disappointed. The service was spectacular , the food was fresh and delicious (and they provided a ton of food) I m not saying this lightly; I have definitely found my new go-to breakfast spot.

When regulars aren t happy and note to the manager when she comes to the table, that it isn t the first time that there has been a problem, after it happens yet again and that enough is enough and time to take our business elsewhere, as we are frustrated that things haven t improved. Instead of providing excuses and asking how they can make it right, how about acting as a manager should, provide a sincere apology and note that they will do better. And do something to make the situation right without me having to tell you what that is. What would you want to have happened if the rolls were reversed. Something should have been done so that we feel you have taken our frustration seriously and value our business and time. In addition to loosing our regular business (2+ times a week and referrals) along with the the take out orders, including the one today that we were going to make but definitely didn t after our dine in experience. What can be done. A new manager to start, that understands customer service and managing the kitchen/floor. Kitchen staff that put orders up, in the order placed. And not claiming one came out ahead of other because it was a simpler order .hmmm two breakfast orders is easier then one? Again more excuses.

Classic breakfast items that hit the spot. The main downfall would have to be the slow service. From seating to check ins. Have to wave servers down for anything needed. Might consider adding another body or two during breakfast to make things more seamless.

Good foods!

The food was really delicious and a great price! The staff were super friendly and we were seated quickly. The table was clean and the sandwich my server recommended was great. And the extra hot hot sauce was very good! My very picky niece finished her French toast and asked for more. The portions were big so we all had leftovers for lunch later. It s quite busy though, there was a line out the door when we were leaving.

Food not good, presentation of food is good. Asked for over easy eggs; I got smelly, raw eggs (I didnt eat it; afraid of salmonella) Service and the feel of this place is mediocre. Table plastic covering was still dirty when we were seated. It was not busy. We were seated quickly. Lack of attention from the server ( I needed a 2nd cup of coffee with my meal but I got much later when I was done eating). The cooks in the kitchen were eyeballing the guests (creepy). We really wanted to get into our favorite place, Angeliques but the line up was long. We decided to try Blue Rooster for the 1st time. It was a disappointment.

Small diner style spot. The service is great. Very busy, but polite and on top of their tables needs. The food was GREAT! So much so that ¾ of our party over ate. The reviews of this place are spot on and I would absolutely return and recommend this place!

We have been here quite a few times, and food and service is a hit or miss, depending on who you get. The very last time we went, it wasnt busy, but it seemed like a mess. We only got one refill on our drink. Food came late, and with a million mistakes, as our plates were taken away and brought back to us multiple times a point, we were confused as to what we even ordered. Our previous visit was on Fathers Day, and we were told it was the busiest day in the year, but we had an amazing waitress, and food was on point, everything went smoothly (pictures shared is from Fathers Day).

Overall great experience. Parking is easy. The restaurant is clean, and well laid out. The staff are all friendly, and personable. Better service than Ive had anywhere for a long time! The menu has a wide variety of options that should suit everyone. The service was quick, and the food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. It came out hot, fresh, and in a very decent portion. Prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants nearby. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

I got the chipotle fried chicken and waffle eggs Benedict, its one of the best choice corn and waffles Ive had and the hollandaise and poached eggs on top just elevated it overall, great service and staff, amazing food options and at a great price!

Its so unfortunate because weve been to Blue Rooster once before and had a great experience. Today was Awful, and to no blame for the staff at rhe restaurant. They were heavily understaffed today and it really showed. We were seated right away which was great, however it took 20 minutes to get someone to our table to ask for water. Keep in mind, there are 3 adults, with one pregnant, and a 3 year old kid our order was taken then it took roughly another 30 minutes to get our order, or should I say Partial order. Things were not ready by the kitchen so it took another 10 minutes to get the finished hashbrowns and bread. My 3 year old sons Kids Choclate Chip Pancake was the last thing to come.......... the staff mentioned the Managers and a bunch of other staff was on Vacation so the blame is on the Manager and Owner. Id advise you to be less greedy, and hire more staff or be more prepared ESPECIALLY on a Sunday! Dont think Ill come back for a long time, which is unfortunate to the poor staff that tried their hardest.

Absolutely loved this place! The Blue Rooster doesn t get enough credit especially being so close to Angelique s. Ok where do I start. Dawn the server is just amazing. She goes over & above to make sure your meal is the way you like it. If you dont like it dont eat it & well get you something else. Our waitress Dawn (I hope I got that right? 10/18 ) was OUTSTANDING in every way - to include getting our meal to us in a blackout!!! (THATS HOW GOOD !) FOOD:5/5. We all had breakfast and the portions were big and prices were reasonable. If youre a hot sauce person - ask for the house specialty (watch out though, itll get ya! )

Got the early bird special, food was good, fast and friendly service. Price was under 10 bucks before tip. 3 eggs, 2 toast, 4 bacon, home fries, beans and coffee. Excellent value would recommend

Honestly such a warm and welcoming place, amazingly friendly staff and quick and delicious food. shoutout to Dawn and Eddie for making my first time definitely NOT my last, had a good laugh and *WARNING* the food portions are HUGE, come hungry

What a great place

We usually visit The Blue Rooster for a great breakfast, now they are open for dinner! The food was delicious I got the 7 Cheese Tortellini, husband had Chicken Parm and the kids shared the fish and chips. Food was excellent and we finished everything.

The hashbrowns and pancakes were great, but the pulled pork eggs benedict made me sick before i could even leave the restaurant. It was so busy that i didnt get a chance to tell the waitress something was wrong with it, so i just didnt eat it. The staff was friendly, but definitely wouldnt get anything with pulled pork from there again.

The service is great but the delivery of outlet items was slow. Not sure if it was due to the time to cook the 8oz burger however my brunch order was prepared first, with eggs waiting for French toast; became cold. A new restaurant but willing to try again.

Great restaurant & amazing food :)

Went there with my best friend and asked for a booth. We were told no because we are only two people. Not even 2 min after being sat they sat two people at the booth we requested. Our server didn t once check up on us, we had to wave her down and remind her that she forgot our toast, never came by to top up my water, and when I asked a question her tone in response was very rude. Food was mid, nothing to write home about. Won t be coming back.

I guess you have to be a regular customer to be served.
