The Ultra Coconut smoothie w Sago pearls was so tasty, the toasted coconut pieces were such a good touch & pair w the taro! They used real taro which was amazing too. Will def come again to try other items on the menu!

They really reduced the choice of dishes on their menu. Also Not selling bubble waffle anymore which was one our favorite snack. They make bubble tea non stop so its a very noisy place to din in. The blender was non stop and make noise so loud that hurt my head.

This place has great food and drinks. Dine in is impossible with the constant noise of the blenders. The staff need to yell over the sound to take orders. Food great experience. Atmosphere sucks.

Their Korean hot dogs are the best! Ive tried them from a few places but no one does them quite like Purple Bubble. I am usually the type of person to go for the meat option but even just the All Cheese one is so amazing that I end up getting that one a lot too!

Their bobas and food is good but when you call them to pre order , they LL just say hold on and it goes on for 10 minutes and they won t respond back . not the 1 st time , I had same experience from past 4 times and I go there and see but there are not much people around and the phone is lying there and I m still on hold I don t want to ask them so I cut the call and order there itself..hope their management does something about it !

If you order for take out before your order is ready, when you arrive tocollect you shouldn t have to line up in the order taking line just to pay. Your food is ready and getting cold. Have only tried the Korean dog and drinks, but food was good. Only negative was that its extremely slow, especially if they get busy. Oh, and not enough sauce on the dogs.

This is one of those little gems you will come across. The staff is friendly, the place is clean and the food is very tasty. Dont take my word for it, just try it. You will definitely return. Compliments to the owner, the chef and the staff. Parking: Lots of place to parking. This place is in the Durham Rio center. There is absolutely no problem with parking.

I went to this store with my friend, and my friend recommend me a drink called Tiger Mango Smoothie. The customer service was very poorly given, due to the cashier gossiping behind the counters, saying I hate brown people, they only order mangos. I feel like this is a highly inappropriate thing to say in a diverse country such as Canada! I felt highly uncomfortable as a brown person myself. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking at the reviews and looking at the food! The treatment and the gossiping from these young and, unfortunately, racist staff is not worth the quality of the food.

My favourite place in the GTA for Korean hot dogs and boba - their hot dogs are just so good (i think they use Costco hot dogs & would make sense since they are basically neighbors). Good value. Boba drinks are flavourful and staff does a good job ensuring orders are accurate and fast. Way better than Chungchun - please open another location in Pickering since its gets busy!!

food was good, I had their rice dogs. Im kind of irritated with their side sauce. I normally take my sauce on the side rather than on the food, but they barely give me anything. It s almost laughable what they gave me as a side sauce. I did not know spicy mayonnaise had some magical formula that they couldn t even fill it up. Id even pay for it to filled up but they just dont do that. dry food is just not it. the picture is literally how the sauce came

Best mango milk.

Located right in the middle of Ajax in the Durham Centre plaza, this busy location can quickly feel cramped thanks to the small sitting area. Note: it seems frequented by a younger demographic, and is very busy, crowding easily: best for take out not sit-in. The mango slush I got was decent, however, one could easily tell the mango was not very ripe. I am unsure how fresh it was, however I would still rank it decent thanks to the reasonable price for a large. If you have $8 and want a large slush with tapioca, this will do.

Edit: I was just there again and the guy taking the orders is so personable and friendly. it really makes the experience nice. Edit: I go here so often and this was the rudest service Ive ever had. Too bad-- I loved this place and would recommend it to everyone but I wont be doing that anymore. The front servers used to be friendly so I didnt mind the wait at all. Now not so much. Its really a shame to give this place a lower rating. Their food is really delicious and they have an awesome menu selection however their customer experience is truly disappointing. Its hard enough to get them on the phone. Youll spend a lot of time calling repeatedly, only to get a voice-mail box full message. When you finally do get a hold of them, they will quote you a 20 minute pickup time only to take 60+ minutes to have your order complete. If they could fix this problem, they certainly would be worthy of a 5 star rating.

The Korean hot dogs and bubble tea keep me coming back. They recently added more add-ons for the hotdog which is cool. There is usually a bit of a wait since its quite popular. My only complaint is that they only let you choose three sauces for your Korean hotdog and I do love my sauces!

Food tasted really good, but the milk tea bubble tea was lacking sweetness and just tasted really plain for some reason. The service is kinda slow, so I dont recommend it if you are in a rush.

15 mins for one drink (payed with Apple Pay and timed it) I was the only person who ordered at that time. Customers arrived well after me and were served before me. The drink was good but the service was absolutely awful.

This place has the best wonton soup I have ever had. The inside is loud, they have so many people coming in for bubble tea and they blend all their fresh ingredients each time. I always call ahead and the time they tell you it will take is always accurate.

Stopped in on a weekday and they seemed very busy, I felt like there was not enough time to decide so I just ordered the Korean corn dogs one with hot dog and cheese as well as the watermelon slush. Everything was great and I didn t add the sauces which I should have lol next time I ll be more prepared with the add Ons but if the original plain was really good than I can only imagine the put together corn dogs. The watermelon slush is a must, very refreshing with watermelon bursts in the tapioca it was great. Def go back and try their actual food as well 4.5/5

I came in having broken both of my legs and both of my arms. The employee who was working cash healed all four of my broken limbs and paid for my corn dog and taro slush out of their own pocket. I walked out with full use of my arms and legs and a delicious lunch on a hot summers day. Thank you unnamed purple bubble employee for your service 11/10

purple bubble is my second home, their thai basil chicken fried rice saved my life. the employees there are very kind, and despite being swamped with work, they delivered my order with a smile. also unironically one of the only places that has chicken korean hot dogs at a reasonable price.

Bubble tea is the best

Ive been here a handful of times and have liked the drinks Ive ordered thus far. My favourite would probably be the crown jackfruit smoothie with mango chunks. The price is definitely good for the size compared to other bubble tea places. There is usually a 5-15 min wait for drinks, even if theres just a few customers. Even still, its one of my go-to places in Ajax for sure!

The food is sooo good and so worth it. Flavour is unmatched. Once in a while, Ill drive the 20 minutes from home. The staff are pleasant and in restaurant, they are great. The only flaw is that there isnt a way to pre-order. No online ordering. You can try to call ahead but most days its pretty busy and there is no answer or youre on hold for a while. All they need is online ordering and its a gold star. I recommend this place.

One of my favourite takeout places. Chefs special is usually my go-to, but recently been feeling the curry dishes. So good. I love the spice too, but that level 3 on the curry got me sweating that good sweat. Maybe 2 next time . Only complaint is I wish I knew they made food years ago; thought they only did bubble tea (great bubble tea too).

Ask for a large. They give me a medium and then they look at me like oh you ordered a medium. Not very impressed

One of best bubble tea spots in Durham. There isn t a lot of seating though, so this is definitely better as a takeout spot. There is usually about a 10-15 minute wait on anything you order, but they re located in a plaza with a lot of shops, so I ll usually do my other errands while I wait. The customer service is great and the quality of the drinks makes it worth the wait in my opinion!

I was recommended to come here for the Pad Thai. So i came and ordered and paid. I waited and waited 25 mins later I finally asked if it was ready, And the kid just stared at me and wouldnt respond , eventually passing me off to another teenager sitting around with no sense of urgency to help. Someone else told me that they forgot to put my order in. Did you not see me sitting there the whole time waiting? What a waste of time. Also not very friendly. Im Old fashioned, i value good service.

This bubble tea place is really nice! It has a wide assortment of fruit, green, and black tea choices. It also has smoothies and more. I enjoy coming here from time to time. It sometimes has a long wait but it is worth it to come.

The young cashier was very rude. He gave me an offensive hand gesture when I asked to add another pad Thai to my order.

Pleasant service, longer wait times but they are worth the wait in my opinion. Weve only scratched the surface of the many kinds of bubble tea they have to offer. Very delicious. They also have a full menu of Asian foods like thai green curry. Theres also these deep fried cheese stick/hotdog things that are very good.

Always a great meal. Theyve never missed. The staff is super friendly. Prices have increased slightly but its the expectation.

I used to love this place and had given them 5 stars 2 years ago. After many visits, they now have gone downhill as many restaurants do! They removed pho from the menu along with many other dishes. They have become quantity & volume over quality & taste. I no longer get food from there.

Edit March 2022: Recently purchased some Korean dogs and another Ho Fun meal. My wife ordered this on the phone and told me to pick it up (Order# 54, around $21). Anyways, i get up to the front and the guy (Young asian guy) puts in #54 and its around $40. I told him thats not right, because my wife said theres only two items she ordered. I called my wife to confirm, and as im trying to tell this guy that its incorrect, he walks away to deal with something else, picks up the phone to take another order while i wait for him to finish. When i reiterate that we only wanted the hot dog and the ho fun, he goes on to shake his head at me and make a subtle comment under his breath well we already made these items. Then he finally realized that he had a brainfart, and inputted someone elses order on our order number. Without even apologizing he just went about his business as if nothing ever happened. Then, once i paid i was about to click the button for a print out receipt on their terminal, and this guy goes ahead and clears the screen for the next order. The only reason im not giving this a 1 star is because there is another young asian guy that works there, he wears glasses, and his customer service is on point. He was polite and asked me if i needed anything. He even shared some laughs with me. This is the guy that should be serving customers at the front. The other one should be out of sight in the back, or at least properly trained to respect other people. January 2022: Purple bubble is a pretty good chinese food restaurant. Dont let the name fool you, their chinese food is actually quite good! I would typically get the Ho Fun with black bean sauce. Its not the best one out there, but considering we are in Durham, its quite good.

I love their tofu ho fun noodles. Their prices are also pretty good, but the wait is usually a bit long since theyre very popular. They are not my favorite place for bubble tea but they are definitely the only bbt place that also serves great food. The Korean corn dogs are pretty great, but I wish the half hotdog and half cheese were made by wrapping the hotdogs with cheese before battering instead. I like that they use beef hotdogs vs pork. Their bubble tea isnt terrible, but Im a bit off put because they once forgot my tapioca and another time, they gave me a hot bbt drink and expected the balls to fit through the sippy cup lid for some reason. Could just be a lack of attention since they are usually slammed with sooo many orders.

Been going here for almost 2 years now. The best bubble tea and Asian food hands down! I was so excited when they added the Korean hotdogs, so delicious! I always get the Thai Basil Chicken or the Tofu Ho Fun! I am really sad they dont have green apple or strawberry jellies anymore as those were my go-to but the brown sugar boba and regular boba is still extremely delicious!

I always enjoy this place. I love the new Korean hot dogs they have. I had the Ramen and it was very crunchy. My friend had the potato coating but found it too heavy and greasy so he only ate the hot dog. Our taro bubble teas were good as usual.

best bubble tea ever

I was anxious to try this place. It s nice to have more Asian food/drink options in Durham, especially Korean. So I tried the Korean corn hotdog with cheese and the Chinese beef ho fun noodle. The ho fun was very good. Unfortunately, the corn dog was disappointing. When I bit into it, there was only cheese filling. I thought there was a mistake in the order. About 2/3 through, I found the cheese ended and there s a tiny piece of hot dog. I m not sure if this was a mistake or by design but, either way, its unbelievable. The taste was ok but very unsatisfactory experience.

Been coming here for several years. Sad they discontinued the pho. It was the best pho in durham region! Hope they bring it back one day. The korean hot dogs are great though! Theres a Super cute skateboard girl that works here. Thats def a +

Black Pearl tea latte tastes soo bad! Worst I ve ever had

I was introduced to this place by a friend around late 2018 early to 2019. At that time they had a great selection of food items. I also buy bubble tea and smoothies, almost every weekend, and tip 20% on my drink orders. My parents have diabetes and I am also careful with monitoring my sugar intake. As such, I always order my drinks without sugar. Very recently, I started ordering three smoothies: pina colada, pineapple or mango, and finally avocado- all three with no sugar. I do get toppings, such as tapioca and/or coconut jelly. Today, I ordered these drinks, and was not advised that there would be an issue with making these drinks, and that it would take about 10 minutes to complete. In the meantime, I went to continue my shopping, nearby in the stores in the area. When I returned to Purple Bubble to pick up my drinks, I was advised by the young man that they would not be able to make the avocado smoothie without sugar, because it will damage their blender. He advised, that next time, I need to order the drink with atleast 50% sugar. Now, that unfortunately is a problem for me. I am not sure why making the avocado drink with no sugar is a problem? The blender will get damaged? Really? However, they can make mango, pineapple and pina colada smoothies without sugar and that doesnt damage their blender? I dont want to have my drink saturated with unnecessary amounts of sugar. I want my family and I to enjoy ourselves while being health conscious. I do hope that Purple Bubble will update their menu to reflect this change in their menu offerings, and clearly outline which drinks can be made with no sugar and which drinks need a minimum amount of sugar. As for myself, I have decided that I will make the drinks at home.

I have been to this place several times, because we like their Golden cube mango drink. But they need to improve on their time for preparing the orders and releasing the orders to customers. Always, I spend long waiting time and they jump on the number orders when releasing the order. Am dissappointed

I placed a order via phone I know usually this place can get busy. I arrived there in 15minz and there was a huge line up. I straight went to the cashier about my phone order. I thought if you order via phone you have a special line. Anyways. The cashier I believe a asin skinny and tall girl, shes like the food is ready which I can see its sitting on the counter and shes like oh you still have to wait on the line. So I waited 20 minz to claim my food which was ready 15 minz ago thats almost 35 minz. When I finally got to buy for my food the food was kinda cold. It defeats the purpose of us ordering via phone like come on common sense. Food was ready you couldve took the payment quickly rather then telling me to go line up. Lost a another client. She needs to be called out because of her lack of knwlodge how to handle customers, due that she can be a bad asset to the company.

This s place must to try. I love their food as well as the bubble tea. My favorite is Beef Ho Fun. The bbt I love Original Milk Tea with the tapioca (The tapioca is so chewy). The customer service is excellent, and the staff are super nice. Waiting time a little bit longer when busy, but you know what? It s worth for that.

Went in the evening and it was swamped!! Herds of people waiting to be fed. To my surprise, the workers handled it with poise and grace. Been coming for the bubble tea here for the last few months and it is my go-to spot! Milk teas are always good and service is quick and consistent despite their rush. Prices are also competitive compared to the other tea spots in the area. I personally love their Taro and Mango milk tea! Overall do recommend coming here if you want some good bubble tea in Ajax.

We come here once in a while when were craving for some Korean hotdogs, But lately the service has not been really pleasing for me and my family, I guess the staff taking the orders has been numb to looking people straight in the eye in front of them and taking a few phone orders other than the people lined up in front of them. Long lineups are a already frustrating enough, imagine families coming with hungry children. Dont get me wrong its the only food that offers Korean food nearby, But once another one pops up, Id gladly choose the other guy. For me its not only the taste of the food, Its the whole dining experience. I mean if this was an isolated incident I would gladly let it go for my kids love this kind of food, but it happens to us every single time. So, having said that, Not crazy about this place anymore.

Today I was there with my daughter to get milk tea. We were the only one waiting to to order and two more people already ordered and waiting for their order. 3 employees were inside and none of them care for us. There was a lady, (I believe she is the manager or owner) she was talking to the employees. At least for a courtesy they would have said I will be with you shortly. No one said anything. We waited for five minutes and came back. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Anytime Im in Canada I usually get their Beef Ho Fun and its delicious. The food options and drinks are great, but the management seems to be poor. Girl at cash counter seemed overworked, they pick up the phone WHILE the customer is waiting in front and pickup order people have to stand in the same line? It is very unorganized, I had to wait 15 mins just to pay for my food and that defeats the whole purpose of pickup. Staff manages to push through but there was also more than one occasion where I overheard them yelling at employees..? Definitely need more workers and better management. They need to sit down and figure out a system or something

999/10 i absolutely love this place to eat and get drinks. It meant so much to have a place to eat and drink bubble tea in peace. The recipes for their special bubble teas are unique and so delicious! As well as their corndogs which are definitely a MUST! They are HUGE. If you do go, try the creamy passion fruit drink !!

TERRIBLE SERVICE! I ordered a simple milk tea and it took over 20 minutes to make it. There were 2 guys just chilling around with no urgency of actually making someones order on time. When I finally asked how long it will take, the guy casually said we ran out of all the tea few days ago and need to brew new one so will be longer. Like why wasnt I told about this whole I was waiting around? Its YOUR job to let the customer know the order will take longer because of something you SHOULDVE known already. Its a bubble tea spot, how is the tea not already brewed? This was 1130am on a Tuesday btw... So ridiculous and terrible customer service. The place also looks so dirty & messy. Not coming back here!
