The ambiance, food, and service were excellent, but I think the menu could benefit from a few more options to enhance the overall experience.

Customer service 18/10! My delivery order was incorrect, within 30 minutes the sweetest general manager I ve ever met personally delivered the correct order. Good people still exist in the world. I will definitely be returning as a customer for life.

We got the coffee flights, caprese sandwich, breakfast sandwich, bbq chicken flatbread. Everything tasted amazing! Love the interior decor very clean and rustic. Very freindly polite staff. Highly recommend this place!

Wonderful food, we were so surprised and happy to find such ample vegetarian options! Staff were very nice, both cleaning and while placing orders. Has nice atmosphere with ample parking. Vegetarian options: So many great options!!

Visited this cafe for a coffee and was pleasantly surprised to find halal options on the menu. Decided to sit down and try their chicken with caramelized onions, roasted tomatoes, and smoked Gouda. Both the food and coffee are excellent full of flavor and perfectly prepared! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax with great coffee and a book. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious food and a comfortable environment!

Zack promised to make me the BEST vanilla latte and he delivered on the promise. It was awesome! I loved it, it was better than Starbucks in my opinion. He was extremely welcoming and friendly, thanks Zack!!

Staff is lovely! Lots of parking. Nice decor. Fruit salad was fine. Otherwise the food is disappointing. Potato wedges especially so - very dried out. The music super loud and the acoustics with people talking at reasonable volume can be intense especially amidst all the noise of the open kitchen.

This was by far the worst, most expensive breakfast. The breakfast sandwich was smaller than an egg Mcmuffin at McDonalds. The egg was dry and Crispy. The bacon was EXTREMELY greasy - almost like it was microwave bacon. The hash browns were so dry and hard, they were inedible. All this for $14.

Staff ignored us upon arrival. We had to inquire about there tables and ordering system. (Pay upfront, even the tip) Hated that! They had empty tables to sit at but none were cleaned up from the last party. So we sat at a dirty table and our food came and they served our food on a dirty table. I made them stop. Still no one came to clean it up so I proceeded to do it. Same thing happened to our neighbors table. Geez, we are ordering our own food at the cash and paying for it ahead of time, couldnt manager at least make sure the tables are ready for new customers! Bad service! Food was good but not nearly hot enough at all. My lobster bisque was barely warm. Same with my Mac n Cheese. Cmon guys, you can do better! Oh! And no toilet paper in the restroom either. Not a fan, wont return Lynn

The food here is mediocre at best. Ordered a breakfast sandwich which was on a tiny stale croissant. The egg inside was overcooked. It tasted very bland and boring and I could made the same thing better myself at home. Also got a soup, which was nothing memorable. Not sure how this place has such high reviews. Maybe people go here for the ambience, instead of the food. You can get a better meal at Panera. The owner was also a bit standoffish for no reason at all. Didnt bother to greet guests at the door. Says a lot about this business... Wont be coming back.

Never coming back to this stingy place again nor is my family. Totally regret it. They should rename it toddlers restaurant because the portion size can only be seen under a microscope. The manager never greeted us as typically staff would at most restaurants. My friends and family will not be coming here . Save yourself the trouble too.

Ridiculous

It was my first time at Goldies. I ordered the Chicken Pesto + Baked Brie and the Roasted Tomato soup with Smoked Gouda. The ciabatta bun was warm and fresh and the chicken was very tender, the flavours were very nice. I also like the little bits of cheese in the soup. I found it a little odd that you picked up your menus at the counter, found your own seat, and then walked back to the counter to order but the food came in a timely manner and the place smells really good. I also tried their hot latte flight. The sugar free were good and the presentation with whipped cream is really pretty. Parking: The lot is a little tight on space and going during the lunch rush might make it a little harder to find parking right outside the restaurant.

The Latte and Mimosas Flats is a unique experience in Durham Region. Great for going for a coffee with a friend. The flavoring is subtle.

Food taste like crap. Chicken noodle soup taste like the ones you buy in the cans at a dollarama. No broth just straight noodles and the soup has an after taste never buying from them again. Food taste spoiled

Update Oct 12 2024: thought I would give this a try again. My wife, son, and I went here and were told that there s a 25 minute wait due to the kitchen catching up. I saw 4 empty tables and said we re ok sitting there, working for a bit, and having coffee until the kitchen is ready. We were told that s not an option and that there s a time limit. So sad to see this place going downhill with customer service and bizarre policies.

This place is great, and the service is awesome (in person), but I am giving them a two-star because the kitchen staff is quite lazy. I ordered from them on Uber eats two farmers wrap. Both wraps had no sauce, and instead of putting hashbrowns, they put potato wedges in the wrap, which was so gross. The description says hashbrowns NOT wedges, or else I would not have ordered. I had to open up the wraps and add my own ketchup and sauce, which was inconvenient. I also ordered the French toast sticks and got something completely different. They forgot my fresh fruit, and it wasnt french toast sticks, just pieces of bread with no icing sugar. Thankfully, I got a refund from Uber for the French toast board. You might be busy, but I would much rather wait an extra 5-10 minutes to have my order done properly. Food is already so expensive these days! and I want to support your business, especially with my busy schedule. But there needs to be more vigilance and effort by the staff. How does one forget sauce in a wrap and send an entirely different order? Do better.

Stunning cafe!

Vibe is excellent. It was Friday morning, the place was busy, but doesn t mean you compromise on the quality of food or service. I ordered breakfast sandwiches, the chicken was under cooked, and instead of hash brown, I got potato wedges. I will try again to see if this changes on any other day. Food

The staff is SO friendly!! Especially Sarah! The food is great but beyond the food I truly appreciated how friendly the staff were! Even amongst providing great service, they made it such a wonderful experience for my daughter by saying hi, giving hi-fives, goofing around, etc. I ll be coming here again not only for the wonderful atmosphere, great food, but definitely the amazing service! Thank you Sarah!

Great coffee, delicious food, lovely atmosphere

Atmosphere and service are great! Goldie s is a really good place to meet up with a friend or spend time reading a book and drinking a coffee. The latte flights are a really good idea and I really enjoyed each of the flavours I chose. However the food isn t really that special. There is a lot of items on the menu however I feel like this expansive menu effects the overall quality of the food. Sometimes too many choices are not a good idea. The service was ok. I find the concept of ordering your food and then sitting and waiting for the food to be brought to you is confusing. Due to this system, there are often long lineups at the cash register. It would be much easier if dine in customers could order from the wait staff directly to improve efficiency. Also the fact that there are a lot of menu items adds to the confusion of customers in line increasing wait times for ordering. Overall Goldie s is a cute little cafe for a coffee and a sandwich but I wish they would reduce their menu and focus on the quality of their products and not quantity.

Lovely squash soup and house salad. Should have 2 sizes for salad as it was more than we could eat. Otherwise quite delicious. Not too much dressing!

We were here earlier today and ordered 2 wraps with halal chicken, a side of soup and the mac and cheese. When we sat down the waitress Lex, came over and let us know that the mac and cheese actually has pork fat in it (which is not halal so we cannot have it). She apologized and let us pick new sides, I was so grateful she let us know there was pork in the mac and cheese as I don t eat pork at all. She was very kind loved her energy! Thank you Lex! edit: there probably should be some type of specification that there is pork in the mac and cheese as most of the time mac and cheese is a safe option for people who are eating halal Dietary restrictions: halal

Ive visited a few times for brunch. The atmosphere is great, and the food is reasonably priced. Service can be a bit slow, but its understandable because its usually very busy when I go. The only thing Im not a fan of is that you pay for your food when youre seated instead of after the meal.

Cute cafe! I got the soup flight and a chai latte. I would not recommend the lobster bisque as it was too salty, but the tomato soup and the mac and cheese were great! There s good wifi as well, but there are signs at each table about a 90 minute seating limit.

I ve been wanting to eat here for a while and had my hopes pretty high, based off the great reviews. The staff is very friendly and nice, along with the atmosphere. I ordered the breakfast sandwhich with hash browns and my boyfriend got the breakfast board. The sandwhich was good, but the outside of the bread was very dry and hard and the whole sandwhich was just warm, the hashbrowns on there other hand were just plain cold, although the flavor was nice. The breakfast board was great but again everything was just warm. The flavor of the food is good but it would be amazing if the food was hot considering the prices. The chai tea and hazelnut coffee were also excellent.

The food and drinks were really good. If youre looking for something girls breakfast/brunch, definetly visit this place. Food : 5/5

Jenna the general manager is amazing! Embarrassingly, I spilled my entire coffee all over the booth this morning and she came over, was like no problem at all!, cleaned it up for me and got me another coffee - this place is not only adorable and a great hangout with good music and a cool atmosphere, but the staff is also top notch - thank you, Jenna and team for doing such an amazing job day in, day out!!

I ve come here multiple times and every time the food and drink has been fantastic! The service is always amazingly kind and hardworking - the only issue is that they are extremely understaffed in the kitchen and drink making sections! It makes for a longer wait time which is not the employees fault at all, I wish that there could be more staffing to support the staff already busting their butts for great service! Dietary restrictions: Non dairy drink options, vegetarian options.

I really like this place but terrible experience today. We went very excited for their flights. It was a bit busy but nothing I havent seen before. I was told the latte flight would be delayed because of a backlog but I was fine with that because there should have been no delay with the mamosa flight. Our food came out quickly and we were more than half way through and still no flights. A server came by and said it would be another 10 mins or so. I asked to cancel the flights and requested a refund because sorry thats ridiculous. When I went to get the refund I was told my mamosa flight was just coming out. Not true, as it was actually for another table and not mine. They had no clue how long mine would be. This place has been around and deals with high volume all the time. I was very disappointed in my experience today and likely wont go back. I expected better. An offer of some sort of compensation for the inconvenience would have been nice and appreciated but no effort was made. Sorry but sometimes sorry isnt enough. On top of all this they got to keep my full gratuity.

Short staffed Im assuming, no one acknowledges you when you walk in and the seating/ordering process isnt clearly stated anywhere..(you are supposed to be seated first, then go up to the counter). Slow service.. not enough staff for how busy it gets, we were told once ordering that the food would be out in 20-30mins... expensive for what it is and the food doesnt seem freshly made. Staff were working hard regardless of there not being enough of them, not sure who or where the manager or owner was to help them.....? Cute and bright atmosphere.

Food was good. I had the breakfast sandwich. Fruit on the side. Should just say pineapple and blueberries on the side - my two worst fruits so that was a bit of a waste. Large hazelnut coffee was awesome. Should have just had a scone and coffee as they looked great but for $5.00 each?

Although the food was pretty good, the quality of the meal was overshadowed by the incredibly poor service. Upon arrival, there was no acknowledgement of my presence by staff and instructions for ordering and seating were quite unclear. In following the lead of another party that arrived at the same time, I took a seat at an uncleared table as it was indicated that we could self seat and someone would be over to clear the table. I thought this was interesting but, being from out of town, it was my first time here. I sat in confusion for 20 minutes at a dirty table while workers serviced everyone around me (including the other party who sat at another uncleared table next to me) and regarded me as if I was invisible. I went for a second time to the front where the ordering process was finally explained to me. Again, this was not on the part of restaurant staff but my own initiative after being there confused for almost a half hour. After placing my order, I went to the restroom and came back to find my drinks placed at my table, which was finally cleared off plateware but not wiped. I was looking forward to coming here and want to say I would come back but the experience was so awfully dissatisfying, Im not sure I will. I expressed to a staff member my frustrations and an apology was offered. Per a previous review, I realize Im not the only one who has had a similar experience. The staff clearly needs to be trained in forward and positive customer service. I have never been to a dining establishment where I loitered around for half an hour with as little as a hello.

Interesting dining concept but the food came out quickly after order and is absolutely delicious! The matcha latte was awesome and the sandwiches, Mac and cheese & tomato soup were ordered was excellent. The mimosa and latte flights are an awesome option as well to try a little bit of everything. Definitely gets busy but you won t regret coming to Goldie s!

I love this place so much! Ive been here about 4 times now, and each time the service has been excellent. Ive ordered their mocha (hot) and Tomato and Smoked gouda soup and both are soo soo good!! Vegetarian options: They have plenty of vege options overall. Each of their offerings (soup, salad, sandwich,etc) has one vege option at least.

I took my sister to goldies for her birthday. What a neat place. The latte flight was delicious. Id especially recommend the salted caramel one. Sooooo good. My only wish is that it had table service to order, but besides that it was amazing. Ill most certainly be back! Parking: There is a nice large free parking lot

Really wanted to love this place as the atmosphere is beautiful and the menu looks amazing.. but the food was really cold, unseasoned, and took a long time. We got the Goldie s breakfast board. The French toast almost seemed like it was refrigerated. Portion size was small for the price. I understand they were busy. But staff seemed more focused on cleaning empty tables than attending to customers. Nobody cleared our empty latte flight when bringing our food & it took up half our table. Servers must have walked by 5-10 times. No water refill. No side plates were offered & we were sharing our meal. Our lattes all tasted the same despite picking different flavours. Nobody checked on us. Disappointing. Unlikely we will return.

See picture of the Ham and Swiss croissant, ham is burnt. Ham is usually cooked, so it shouldn t need to heat or cooked on the pan for too long.. otherwise it s a good experience. Will be back.

This place is great! Love the breakfast foods and the mimosa and latte flights. Disappointed that the sunrise and sunset menus just got discontinued as that was nice to have a quieter time that s less busy to encourage people to come at those times. Disappointing as a newer regular so will unfortunately be coming less often now as the flights are quite a bit more money at regular times.

Good coffee. The food was okay, but overpriced for what you got. It was worth trying once.

My sister and I went here for brunch on a Saturday. Despite it being a very busy Saturday we were seated almost right away and our food came pretty quickly. The mimosas flight is perfect for sharing and very delicious. The double grilled cheese is also very good and I would highly recommend it.

really cute place and good drink selection, but would be nice to see more vegan options other than a bowl of fruit and potato wedges! even an oatmeal option or all veg sandwich would be good enough:) *edit* the owner did respond letting me know about the salads/adjustable sandwiches/flatbreads- in regards to the vegan salad, I was talking about breakfast options that are vegan, and I don t know many people that have salad for breakfast when eating out! they do have a vegetarian sandwich, however all that s on it is pesto (I m assuming not vegan), mozzarella (not vegan), and then roasted red pepper and spinach. while I m sure they would be accommodating and add more vegetables- same goes for the flatbread- it would just be nice to have a sandwich option that is automatically vegan. that s all I meant by what I wrote! I m always able to adjust things on menus, it s just nice when I don t have to.

So after hearing such great things from so many, I finally made it to Goldies...and was very disappointed. First off, my girlfriends food came out about fifteen minutes prior to mine. I told her to go ahead and eat so as not to let the food go cold, which she did at a slower pace in hopes that we could eat brunch together. Her meal was great, the food came out warm and was very tasty. After asking about my meal a couple times, it finally arrived. I ordered the Goldies board and it was terrible. The eggs were cold, bland and literally ate like styrofoam, the potatoes were bland as well and just bad, the sausages were under cooked and the bacon was over cooked. Needless to say, I did not finish it and had them take it away. With all of that being said, the service was great. They were very apologetic and offered me vouchers for free pastries for my wait and then removed the item from my bill. I was also asked if they could get me something else, which I declined. A really unfortunate brunch, especially after hearing so many great things. I will however be back and give them a second go. We all have bad days. Oh and, the order at the cash register system is silly.

Really glad I came across this place! Cozy atmosphere. The lobster bisque was amazing and the Cesar salad was one of the best Ive ever had. Delicious dressing and nice big fresh slices of Parmesan. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Oh and dont forget the mimosa flight!

This place is casual and cool. Modern vibe. You can choose to sit in a booth, high stools, short tables, mini couch or a circular booth. You order at the cashier and they bring your stuff out for you. Its accessible. The portions were excellent for the price. There are many sampler options so you can taste more things in smaller portions. We had the latte flight. My faves were the Toffee nut and Marshmallow flavours. Theres so many to choose from and they have different milk options. We also had the chicken noodle soup in the bread bowl. And guess what!! They give you the part of the bread they scrape out to make the bowl bread supremacy Parking: Its in a plaza so there are multiple spots. Wheelchair accessibility: There are press to open buttons.

3rd time here but first review. I really want to say everything is amazing, but sadly, the food has been a bit of a disappointment each time. It s average, but pricey, and the portions are very small. Elements of the dishes are either over cooked or cold. The drinks are good but given how expensive everything is, I need to feel like I m getting my money s worth and I don t feel that way here. For the price, the food needs to be better.

Eclectic little place! Coffee are wonderful, you can even get a flight of lattes all flavours. Nice amount of food but not a ton. Mimosa flights and soup fkights are a different option. Fav place for a fun breakfast.

Was just looking for a quick bite to eat.. sandwich was good I had the hash browns as a side they were hard and I don t think fresh 33$ for 2 small sandwiches and sides seems a little steep but I guess it s pricey everywhere

Super cute place and I actually love the self serve model I just wish there was a single food item that impressed me. The breakfast sandwich had 2 overdone components. The breakfast potatoes were not crispy as advertised and the apple fritter was disappointing too somehow :( The flights are cute though, we tried both the steamed latte and Mimosa ones.

Cute place. It is a bit pricey but it was a fun experience. $11 for the mango mimosa. Also got a latte flight, yogurt parfait, and French toast. The latte flight was any four flavours of your choice. Was about $45 in total. Everyone was super nice.

Dont know why you have to stand in a line to order your food when your already seated?? Food was good.

Went on a Sunday and it was really busy and loud but service was surprisingly quick, so that s a plus. Cappuccino was amazing, and food was alright. I think next time I would go on a less busy day and just get a cappuccino.

One of my favourite go to lunch spots. I prefer not to dine in as I haven t had the best service experience on a couple of occasions with having to wait when seating was available in larger group tables and even smaller tables. Doesn t make sense and frustrating. To avoid this, I order for pick up (usually once or twice a week). The soups and sandwiches are my go to, and always great. Pastry s are fresh and delicious also. It s highly worth going to for pick up, and if you have the time to dine in and wait.

Place is OK, but some of the servers are rude to the non-white guests.

I really wanted to love this place. It s aesthetically pleasing all around, however, both myself and friend who ate there today got incredibly sick with food poisoning. Honestly felt like I was dying.

Lovely service from the lady with a heart necklace and the cooks with their accurate descriptions of portions. I m consider a larger man with an appetite and I was left full for a great price! Definitely recommend!

Beautiful atmosphere with great food options. The flow to order food at the counter after waiting to be seated was confusing. The glasses of water offered per table are appreciated, though broken water glasses on the table and shattered glass on the floor interfered with our experience.

This place was super cute. It has a cafe set up where you get seated and look at the menu then you have to go up to the cash and order. They have a wide variety menu and a bunch of baked goods up at the front. The aesthetic of the place made up for how average the food was. With all our food being $50 for 2 people we were a little disappointed with the quality of the food.

This place is trash and most of the food is microwaved. Not sure what I m payin the money for.

Pros: -Trendy atmosphere -Tasty breakfast sandwich (although a fried egg would have been way better) -Large cold glass water jug on table -Cute live plants on the tables -Clean storefront Cons: -No staff to greet or seat -Small/cramped ordering area -Caramel latte just tasted like coffee with no flavour (also wasnt hot) -Wait staff drop off the food but do not return to the table (good luck if you need anything! Youll have to get up and wait in the same line where the entire reaturant orders from) -Cant make reservations (first come first serve only) -Eggs are microwaved * We only recieved 2 out of the 3 meals that we ordered. When I got up to inquire at the cash register, the staff member immediately said its coming without asking what was missing. A few minutes later she came to the table to ask what was ordered. The meal came 10 minutes later and well after we had finished the other meals. I had high expectations for this place based on the reviews however it was an underwhelming experience. Best thing was the company I brought with me!

Atmosphere is great! However, I didn t have a great experience with the service and one of the orders. I got the Roasted Chicken and Caramelized Onion Sandwich with a cup of Lobster Bisque Soup. After taking a few bites, I realized I couldn t taste any caramelized onion and saw that it was lacking some in the sandwich. I went up to the counter to ask for a little bit extra and it was no problem- they said they would bring it to my table and I told them I was located around the corner. I waited and no one came. My sister was done eating and at that point my food was cold so I just packed everything and we left. I wish the servers would at least come by to ask how we re doing so I don t have to get up again. For the amount of people working and the service, a $9 tip isn t worth giving. The drinks were very good and overall flavour of the food was good too.

Everyone was so kind and the food/coffee flights were delicious! Wish there was a longer time limit we could stay; however, its understandable due to how busy they get. Also since we have to get up and pay at the beginning (before the meals come) its hard to know what the service will look like. We didnt have napkins or water until after we started eating. Would recommend servers maybe coming around to make sure things are good! All in all tho will definitely come again with my hubby. :)

Food was good but small portions and the bread were 3 small, thin pieces of baguette. Did enjoy the concept of a soup flight and all three I tried were good (Tomato& Gouda, broccoli &cheddar and, chicken noodle). Different concept of being seated then going up to the till to order. Very popular place, we had to wait for 45 minutes for a table and not on premise.

Stopped for afternoon coffee & muffin. Coffee/cappuccino was nice. Very busy, I got the wrong muffin, not sure if they heard my order correctly. Anyway baked goods were good. Only Negative was that its a bit noisy, sound seems to travel there.

Tried the latte flight and bbq chicken flatbread. The latte flights are so cute and are available in both hot and iced. The flatbread was scrumptious and the chicken was evenly distributed. Clearly shows this place is not stingy with their toppings. I would definitely recommend this place.

I really wanted to love Goldies! :( All the staff members were friendly and attentive, speedy service, the atmosphere was lovely, but the food was a miss. Unfortunately, the potato wedges were cold and soggy. The brie & pesto chicken sandwich was only okay with overcooked chicken and very few of the roasted peppers toppings. Perhaps it was an off day for food. The portions were also quite small; I rarely finish a restaurant meal, but I easily finished this whole meal without feeling full. The menu looks good with lots of selection, so perhaps I would come back to try out something new, after all it was a great atmosphere and overall experience. Kid-friendliness: There were children in booths and the families seems comfortable. The menu has a wide variety i think children could find something they enjoy.

Great concept, breakfast and lunch, Cafe. Latte and mimosa flights are so innovative! Good food choices that have unique twists and are ideal for a nice lunch or brunch. Its a very popular spot and deservedly so. It will be even better once they go beyond counter service to full table, but that doesnt detract from the overall vibe.

We ordered little bite board with just egg scrambled eggs and no meat option and the eggs were too dry and not so great. Poor quality and less quantity.

i m hoping this was just a one off occurrence caused by an off day, but it seemed like everything put out from the kitchen today was comped in one form or another for us and all the tables surrounding us. 20 minutes before drinks were dropped off, 2 sandwiches and a soup platter took 50 minutes before the first sandwich was dropped off, then 15 minutes for the rest of the food to be brought. when the soup did come out, we weren t told that they were out of broccoli cheddar soup, and they decided to replace it with chicken noodle, which we were also not told about. this was unacceptable as all members of our party are vegetarian. the $15 soup platter was refunded when this was brought to the attention of the either uncaring, or woefully overwhelmed general manager. the rest of the food: grilled cheese: bland and lukewarm at best, not nearly good enough or hearty enough for the price side mac and cheese: horribly bland and cold in the middle (probably thrown in the microwave) mediterranean sandwich: edible, that s about it side potato wedges: pretty solid actually soups- cold there are quite a few aspects of this place that are promising, such as the drink flights, but there will need to be a LOT of improvement the next time i visit for me to not steer clear of here for good

We tried the breakfast boards - absolutely horrible! The eggs smelled rotten, didn t even bother eating them. The hash browns were cold. Fruit in the yogurt bowl was not fresh at all. I could tell that most of the items were not fresh, but frozen! For $35 you can go to many other places and get fresh, tastier food.

I really wanted to love this place as it is in the neighbourhood, however I probably won t be back. My husband and I walked in yesterday for the first time. No greetings from staff and no clear directions so after a moment of waiting, we took a seat and waited. Your waitstaff walked by us multiple times before I flagged one down to inquire how to order etc. Apparently, there is a sign to order and then seat yourself, however it was not visible as there was a small group of persons blocking it when we walked in. The server herself was professional after I flagged her down, and she provided instructions. We then got menus and went to the counter to place our orders. My husband originally ordered the small breakfast board which stated on the menu that it is served on weekends and holidays only (we went in on a holiday, Canada Day Monday - bank holiday), but were informed that it was only weekends that it could actually be ordered. My husband ordered the waffle board as an alternative and I ordered the crepe board with the Blueberry Lavender iced tea. We then returned to our seats to wait. The drink (Blueberry Lavender iced tea) came pretty quickly. The portion size was adequate and presentation was good. Flavour wise, it was good. Unfortunately, my drink was not stirred/mixed well and I took a big sip of incredibly sweet syrup at the bottom of the glass. However, once I stirred it, the experience was improved. The food came shortly after. The wait between placing the order and receiving it was not long at all. Overall, presentation was the best thing about the food. Unfortunately, my husband received waffles that were clearly well overdone - almost burnt/really browned and hard. We did flag down the waitstaff to inquire if this was how browned /hard the waffles were supposed to be and she stated yes, however we later saw another order for a different table come out with waffles that were less browned and appeared to be more palatable. Unfortunately, my crepes were just as disappointing. While presentation was ok, my crepes were cold and therefore not appetizing. Like I said, I really wanted to love this place, but I will likely not return. The price point is amazing, however, I would gladly pay more for better food and a better experience.

Went here with a co-worker for lunch. We ordered for pick up. After placing our order we were told it would be ready in 20 mins. We showed up 30 minutes after placing the order, and when we told the girl the name on the order she informed us that she couldn t find the order and that we would be made priority in the kitchen for food to be made. After waiting another 15 to 20 minutes our food was ready. We paid and went back to the office. Upon unwrapping our food, we discovered my BLT sandwich only had one slice of bacon and my coworkers turkey bacon club had no turkey. Such a disappointing experience especially considering it s so close to work.

Good food. I like the selection. Im a vegetarian, so there were a few options for me to choose. The food was tasty. It was our first time there and it was busy. It is always a good sign if a restaurant is busy. Best time we will try the patio. I would recommend this restaurant, especially if you live in the neighborhood.

Tried it out for a change, don t think we ll be back. Between the four of us, we had the following items: Breakfast sandwich - delicious!!! Side hash browns - these were home fries (cubed potatoes) not hash browns, they were undercooked, and disappointing Side lobster bisque - delicious!! Smoke meat sandwich - good taste but seemed like one large slice just folded up, so it didn t stay together well Turkey bacon club - delicious but could have had bit more bacon. It was also very loud (conversation and kids not being parented), we were able to move to a booth and that did help. Service model is one where you get a menu to review, then go up and order, pay, then they bring food when ready.

Great concept. I had the Little Bite Board which was more than enough for me. Small fruit bowl that comes with it was fresh and fruit was seasonally ripe. Others in my party enjoyed their choices as well. Big Bite Board was almost too much food for someone with a hearty appetite. Wish Goldies was closer to home.

Great little cafe, order up at kiosk and they bring the food to you. Food is good, but the presentation is even better. Portions are average. You really want to go their for the ambiance, or a brunch date.

I don t usually write reviews, but this place is definitely worth your time! We ve been wanting to check out this place for a long time and the expectations were met! The place itself is super clean and cozy where you can have a nice brunch or study. It wasn t that hectic when we went which I personally liked. Not sure if it was just because it wasn t that busy, but our orders came super quick (less than five minutes for drinks and 10-20 minutes for food). Gotta say - everything was super good! Shoutout to everyone, especially Zena for the amazing service and drinks, and Alana for her quick and welcoming service, (sorry if the spelling is wrong) for making our visit worthwhile. Definitely a hidden gem, will be back for more!!!

The menu is reasonably priced for what you get. I got a sandwich with the seven grain salad as well as a brown sugar iced latte. I dont think the brown sugar latte is anything special, I couldnt tell the difference between that or any other sweetener. The seven grain salad comes served on top of packed plain spinach in a ramekin, which made eating it a bit difficult. As you lift your spoon the spinach is like a catapult! The salad itself has a distinct curry flavour, which I enjoyed but should be mentioned in case others do not. I enjoyed my sandwich, no complaints there. I would visit again, and try a stronger flavoured coffee instead.

I had the pleasure of catering food from Goldies Cafe for my baby shower and I must say that the food was absolutely delicious! The service provided was also top-notch and it made the experience all the more enjoyable. Highly recommend them for any catering needs!

honestly i m not usually one to do a review, but for a RESTAURANT to serve powdered eggs (the bite breakfast platters, weekends only) is absolutely blasphemous the people working seem nice, very little to no service tho it s order to get everything yourself (water included) you think since they re cutting cost on waiters and stuff they would make up for it in the food part, lol NOPEEEEE. presentation fire tho

I ordered the blt sandwich and tomato soup. The soup was delicious and the sandwich was good, until I found a fly inside. This makes me question the cleanliness of the restaurant and handling of the food. I had only taken a few bites so I basically only had soup for my lunch. I ordered uber eats as I was busy at work so I didnt not have time to go back to the restaurant to advise them of this issue. Taste was good so that is the only reason for my 2 star rating.

Today, my kids and I had our breakfast. This is our second time. Delicious foods, awesome and bright environmen, staffs with smiles we just love it. Tables are well placed to give a special feeling. The Spinach and Cheese Danish is a must try item. I also recommend the French Vanilla. The backery items are delicious, and my Cafe Latte was ultimate Please be courteous that all tables are extended for 90 minutes to serve better to everyone. Ideal for family gatherings or catching up with friends . This is an upscale eatery who loves exclusive dining.

I can t believe I slept on this place for so long the food and service are fantastic! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the young man who brought our food and drinks to us upon leaving I had forgotten my phone on the seat he must ve noticed right away and brought it out to me in the parking lot. I cannot thank him enough! Even though we went during a busy time (around noon) service was very prompt. The mac & cheese and tomato & gouda soup will have me coming back! I can t wait to try the rest of the menu.

Great spot! I got the BLT with the roasted tomato soup. BLT was perfect, the roasted tomato soup was creamy and rich with flavour. Decore was nice and a very clean spot. Highly recommend and will be back for sure!

I always enjoy my visits to Goldies. I tried the tomato chowder this time. It was delicious. Sorry no picture, it was gone before I remembered.

It was okay not worth the hype... meat on the brench menu is below average. Seem like the plate that was served eggs was rusted. Not too sure look like rust and hasnt been cleaned in years.. you be the !!!

Wonderful experience yesterday at Goldies Cafe. My first time in Ajax, and certainly happy I was dropped off here by a friend to work after saying take me to a coffee shop with wifi-- certainly surpassed the service and quality and vibes of Starbucks and Tim Hortons! Drew was a great service provider and answered all my questions about the menu and gave me her recommendations. Would 10/10 recommend if you need a quick bite or are looking for good coffee and a nice work space thats not too noisy to take calls but not too quiet like a library. I ordered the flight from their drink menu-- got to choose 4 flights. 2 iced and 2 hot/steamed. The iced brown sugar latte and marshmellow latte were so delicious. The hot sugar-free vanilla was great and I also ordered a hot toffee latte but ended up giving that to the friend who recommended this place when he picked me up, with his small decaf. I ordered a small chai latte after my 3 flights! For lunch, I ordered the chicken pesto with brie sandwich with a side quinoa grain salad. So yummy! Thanks to the barristas recommendation. I got a delicious white rasberry pastry to go. Would def come again!

Everything that glitters is not always gold. The food looked amazing at sight, Instagram picture worthy. Now try cutting those pancakes that look so fluffy, HARD like you cannot cut with a knife. French toast, HARD. The cheese cheese was crystallized into the croissant and it was HARD. My friends and I all ordered different things and everything was hard. The service subpar, also you have to get up and order your food. Do not think, I will be back to this establishment.

I had ordered a small platter of baked goods and some yogurt parfaits to be catered from Goldies for the morning of my wedding. Communication with the team was amazing throughout and they were so patient and understanding. I had requested a platter to be split into two as the bridesmaids and groomsmen were in different rooms, which they graciously accommodated to. They also supplied a generous amount of cutlery, napkins and plates, and allowed us to pick-up earlier than their operating hours. The food was all so tasty and really made a special and positive impact to the start of my wedding day. Thank you so much! I highly recommend for anyone in the area :)

I ve heard such great things about Goldie s and was kinda disappointed in the food and service. You seat yourself and put in your own order at the cash even though they have a lot of staff around. Plus someone took our booth when we went to put in our order even though we left our keys on the table. The French toast was pretty underwhelming I was expecting more. The egg wrap was nice and the mimosa flight was great. My friend had the Rueben sandwich and said it wasn t anything crazy and the Mac and cheese was bland. I ll give it another chance and try their coffee flights next time.

The food was really good. My boyfriend and I went. He got the peameal bacon sandwich with soup. He thought it was fantastic. I got the BBQ chicken Flatbread with hashbrown. The Flatbread was great but I got homefries not hashbrown which were still great. The outside of the restaurant looks kinda rundown but otherwise we are definitely going back there soon.

Great atmosphere, trendy little cafe

Such a good spot if you re feeling indecisive! Their latte flights and soup trip samplers are so fun. I ordered the chicken brie pesto sandwich and the hot latte flight with pumpkin spice, irish cream, brown sugar and toffee nut. After a few sips all the lattes started to taste the same and I wish that they offered different types of roasts for the flight instead of just different syrup flavours. The sandwich was delicious but felt like something that could be easily recreated at home. The mac and cheese did disappoint slightly since the pasta felt mushy and the advertised panko crust was just a few croutons on top. The busy Saturday brunch vibe was nice and I would visit again.

Received very rude customer service at this establishment today. I went in to order take out and after paying the cashier sarcastically said wow after looking at the screen and noticing a tip was not left. She proceeded to keep staring at me clearly upset a tip was not left. I understand leaving a tip for dine in experience, but I should not be made to feel guilty or have to experience attitude for not leaving a tip for someone who is just putting items into a bag This is your job. There was no further customer service given for this cashier to feel obligated to receive a tip. Times are hard for people as is and they shouldn t have to deal with this type of experience when running in to grab a treat. I am very disappointed with the experience and will not be supporting them again.

Very cute little cafe!! Love the ambiance, and the staff were super sweet and welcoming. I like the variety on the menu from the food to beverages. They offer a flight of lattes and mimosas to try various flavours which I loved! Also tried a sandwich with a side salad, was very tasty. Definitely my new go to cafe in Ajax!

Place will make you feel like you re in a South American prison begging for water. Sat for 15 minutes, asked 3 times and the two high school servers walking around won t even look at you.

Came in after skating with my little one and I really enjoyed our time here. Our hot drinks and food were well presented. I was really impressed with the staff a d how friendly and welcoming they were. Goodies has a nice atmosphere and is a place I will definitely be back with friends for brunch or for a post skate treat or two!

I brought my family to Goldie s cafe and I ve got to say, it couldn t have been any better. The lovely lady with the brown hair, I believe her name was Kira served my table and she was just the sweetest thing. I got the caramelized onion chicken sandwich recommended by their awesome cook Sam. Even the barista Jade took my order with great manners and a great attitude , I ve never gone to a place that has such great customer service. I was so happy with everything and I wanted to shout out all of their great staff they have working there!! The general manager has trained their team perfectly! Thank you so much, definitely gonna return!

Wanted to take my boyfriend out for a nice brunch date, and this was the perfect spot! The cook, Leena, gave us wonderful recommendations off the menu that were exactly what we were looking for (I got the Applewood Smoked Ham + Swiss; so delicious!!). This place certainly has some charm in the neighbourhood! We tired the coffee flights as well as the mimosa flights! Their lattes are amazing.. They have a cafe menu with a few sandwiches, flatbreads and soup .. Everything we ordered tasted really nice.. This place can get really crowded over the weekend, so to get a table you would have to wait or reserve in advance :)

I stumbled across this Cafe a few weeks back after dropping my son off at ACC. I have driven by the Cafe a number of times before but hadn t stopped in. I ve now been in regularly. The service is great, food and drinks are top notch and the staff are constantly cleaning when not serving customers, I love it. You ve won a new customer - I ll be back again.

My boyfriend and I visited Goldies Cafe today. We both got iced caramel lattes which were delicious. We were helped by Ronak at the cash, who was very helpful with recommendations, and Tyana made our drinks quickly and perfectly. We were also greeted warmly by other staff members, including Danielle and Mya. We will definitely be back to try the food and latte flights next time!

Today I went to grab a drink at Goldies Cafe, while I was waiting for my drink I got some recommendations and had a nice chat with two of the lovely cooks Kaili and Leena. I will definitely be returning to try their suggestions.

Visited this nice Cafe with some family the other day. We bought a few sandwiches(chicken pesto+ brie and apple smoked ham and swiss) both were delicious. We also shared a chili bread bowl which warmed us up after being out all day. Thank you to the welcoming staff Spencer, Drew and Leena.

My favourite spot for Sunday brunch with the girls! Their staff are so welcoming; Kaili always has wonderful suggestions for us to try.

Loved the food here! The worker Leena recommended me to have an iced mocha with my meal since I mentioned I love chocolate. Totally worth it and would happily visit again.

Goldies is my favourite place to come and work, while also enjoying their delicious food and drink. On my most recent visit, Chantal and Xinna both gave me some excellent suggestions when I was deciding what to order, and I decided to try their recommendation of having an iced butterscotch latte. Will definitely get this again! Drew and Alannah were excellent servers. They brought my food and drink over promptly, and checked in on me to make sure I was taken care of. The ambiance is great for working, and the staff and management are more than willing to turn down the music if its too loud. Will definitely be back again and again!

This location is superb all the staff was amazing!!! Super supportive the food, drinks and atmosphere is everything. Hopefully there will be more locations in future! Thank you to Teyana, Tylor & Ashlee for hosting us!
