Always great experience. They come to you when you order online. They take a bit to make, but its always great. Make sure you try the fusion dishes. You will not regret it.

Was hesitant in try the fusion menu. Dont make the same mistake I did! I had the Goat-o-rrito and the Better Belly Buss Wrap, both were fantastic!

Always fresh. I personally find this location better than the Scarborough location. Scarborough location produces at a larger volume, and I find the food is not always fresh. This location makes to order, and its always a treat when Im in the Ajax area.

One of the best fusion 3-in-1 restaurants in Ajax. They have the best - and I do mean the BEST - wraps this part of Durham Region. The idea to amalgamate Greek and Caribbean food is genius. Food is fresh, portions are huge, the price is on the point and customer service is top notch. They literally bring your food out to your car after you place an order. This place is simply exceptional.

This place is a 10/10. My cashier Nick was awesome great vibes and patient with a new customer who wasnt sure what to get. The food itself was also 10/10. I had the goat roti, goat was tender, super flavourful and everything tasted fresh even though it was already 8:30pm. Side note: Their tamarind sauce was bomb!!

Why dont you offer doubles at ajax location? I thought it was just the day I went and maybe you were out of something. However, everytime Ive gone and ordered, always not available. Is there a plan to make them? Have to go to scarborough to get my fix!

Food is delicious! I ve tried countless Roti shops all over the GTA. Monas is one of my favourites. Aside from the food, the customer service is amazing. Seriously, they have the nicest people working here. Highly recommend checking this place out. You won t regret it.

Came in for lunch and was delighted with the food. Souvlaki was flavourful and juicy, tzatziki was fresh and creamy. Curry goat was soft and tender and packed a punch. I will be making this place a regular stop when I m in Ajax.

WOW absolutely delicious food!!! Amazing concept and executed perfectly. I got the Greek n Jerk pita and the flavour combination is an absolutely MUST TRY. Travelled from Westend Toronto to Ajax early one day for an appointment and a couple of sidetrips. Afterwards, we had plans to drive to Scarborough to Mona s as we hadn t been in a long time. Then this location popped up, it was great as only a few minutes away! It was worth the long trip to Ajax and back home to west end! While it is a select set of items compared with Scarborough original it remains connected as family members are running this location. We chose: boneless goat curry and dahl pouri roti, as well as, chicken curry and some roti to freeze and use later. Strictly takeout as it is a shared premises. Reasonable priced and delicious. Parking: Good

In my 40 years living in Ajax Ive never came across a fusion between west indies and Greek. The roti is filled with flavour and meat is plentiful plus tender. The pita selections is also delicious. You get exactly what you pay for and that is why I appreciate this establishment and the kind hard working staff. 10 stars. Love

This place is a hidden gem, the flavours are sooo good. I got the shrimp doubles and it was bomb.

There are three sides to this resturant one side making delicious Greek food, another side making below average Trinidadian food and lastly a fusion section of Caribbean food and Greek. Starting with the best side, Greek, I had the chicken souvlaki wrap. Lovely full pieces of chicken running down the whole wrap, well sourced tomatoes and onions. The taziki sauce is not chunky and tastes well. Also you get some really crispy and delicious french fries, overall the one I had was 10/10. Next good thing was the jerk chicken in a paratha wrap, a well filled wrap with good tasting jerk chicken in it, I am giving that 8.5/10. Now for the Trinidadian side of things, just not worth it, the sort of food if you know how it supposed to taste you would not buy the food again. Portion size and quantity no issue there. I had a boneless curry chicken, first major flaw the curry taste green, meaning two things the curry was not fried properly before adding the chicken and also for the potato or someone add uncooked curry to the food after some cooking, the result is a horrible taste and a tummy ache. Then the curry chicken pieces are over cooked, the chicken shreds like pulled chicken. Next flaw is the dhalpuri filling has too much gerra, less is better, I also find the skin could be a little thicker. Last thing is the pepper sauce, too much tang / sourness and heat. Maybe try a different blend of peppers and a carrot or two in the mixture to temper the heat won t hurt. Chicken roti I will give 3.5/10. That s my take, definitely impressed by the Greek and Fusion menu keep up the good work there.

Ordered the goat curry. It was so dry and chewy; no gravy at all. It was a complete waste of money as I can barely eat it. I take a bite but have to spit it out because its so dry. I asked for hot sauce on the side but they said theyd charge extra. Then I asked if they could just put a bit on the corner and they said no because it would spread. I dont understand the fusion with the Greek bc they are not good at the Caribbean. This isnt the first time Ive had a bad experience. Chicken curry, jerk...disappointing. I thought Id give this place a last chance, but they should just stick to the Greek food. Not going back ever.

Food is disgusting!! If you want good Guyanese food go to the Mona s roti in Scarborough. The goat was stale and the jerk chicken had a tangy taste . Never had jerk like that before. They shouldn t even be in bussiness for serving rotten food like that. Can t compare to the location in Scarborough

I have eaten at both the Scarborough and Ajax location. Theres a difference in texture and taste. Im convinced this restaurant is using beef and trying to disguise it as goat. The curry is a darker colour and it seems like they are rationing sauce. How could a meat cooked in curry be dry? The saving grace is the roti skin, which on a good day is comparable to the Scarborough store.

1st time at this location and was happy to see a Monas in Ajax. The three restaurants together is kinda confusing, but it makes sense if there is no sit down. I ordered the curry chicken roti the dal pouri and I have to say it was a pretty close second to the original Scarborough location.. the roti had the soft fluffy taste like you come to expect from Monas. The curry chicken was a little salty for my taste. But plenty of chicken and not a lot of potato which is good. So yeah Ill be going back.

This place is incredible! The customer service is 11/10. The food is amazing. I suggest a Curry chicken roti with potato and burn your face off pepper sauce. If you re feeling more adventurous go with the goat and pumpkin instead. It s wild.

Almost a pound and a half of one of the best Rotis I have had. This was the Moday special, 2 chicken rotis for $16... what a deal. The kitchen is super clean and the chefs are on top of their game. Try the fussion eats there.. AWSOME

Buy from this place all the time however yesterday placed my order the man ask me my name. I gave him my number because its would be easier for him to pull up the account. He stopped and said he cant find my name with that number he had nothing in the system. He then said is the reason why you want to give your number is because you want points? I said no I didnt even know I was getting points. However I called back the next day to order food and the lady asked my number as per usual and I I told her she pulled up my account and stated my name I said thats odd I gave my number yesterday and they said that number does not work . Today I placed my order and after telling the lady that I was there yesterday to order and what happened after she took my order and I told her I was already out side wait because she asked me if I needs more time. When I said I was already there I saw the.man that served me the day before come out and look then came out and stand in fort my car amd walk back in the ns later and ask the the person if they would be coming out with my order she said come in andnpay frist and when your hear you dont need to call in your order just come in. They did not make my order and they hung up the phone because I simply stated that the man yesterday told me that my number or account did not exist and if I was trying to get points. How very rude even if I was trying to get points and there company offers them.whats the problem I wonder how many points I have . I called back to file a report it turns out both individuals who conducted themselves like this are both mangers .

Chicken in roti was tender; the vegetarian roti was also so flavourful with the chickpea curry. I was pleasantly surprised to see packaging was paper and fully recyclable. Delicious and would recommend.

The fusion menu is a MUST TRY!! My favorite is the curry chickenritto (I hope I spelled that right) The curry chicken and curry potatoe is amazing and its a very good price. You can get both curries (slight pepper) with a side of roti and you wont be disappointed!

This review applies to the Ajax location. Anyone whos familiar with Monas in Scarborough will be disappointed by the menu here. They only offer a fraction of the items at their other location - no tamarind sauce, no pholouries, no doubles, etc. They do have the staples: boneless goat, chicken and veggies along with dalpuri and paratha. However, they do have about 50 different sodas, so theres that. Also, they ask for your license plate so Im assuming this means curbside after ordering (as you have to wait in your car after ordering) Ill update this review with the taste once my order is ready. Im hoping that its the same as the Scarborough location. Update: only 2 things of note: the roti (and filling) lacked seasoning. And despite the ask of lite pepper sauce, I didnt taste any. Also there is an large amount of extra paratha folded on the sides. Had I trimmed it, Im sure to have had enough for another small roti.

I got the veggie plate with rice/peas, pumpkin, chick peas, and spinach. The flavors were decent, but I dont think it was portioned out great. I had a massive amount of rice and basically two tiny spoons of each vegetable.

So excited for Mona s roti in ajax. It is in the partnership with a Greek restaurant named Freak N Greek which has such delicious menu. I got a veggie roti and curry mango is to die for. I also got veggie pita. Oh so delicious!! Staff was patient and kind enough to explain how to order from the greek menu. I recommend this place to all.

Ive been going to the scarborough location for a long time so i was delighted to find out an Ajax location was opening as 1/2 of my time is spent out in Durham. They did not disappoint!! The food was delicious and true to the Monas brand. I hope they keep expanding, every city needs a Monas

Not like the Scarborough location at all. My wife & I wanted to try it from always going to the Scarborough location. No where near the same. The menu is a fraction. The Food was very bland, no spice, no flavour, we had the jerk chicken means and could not even finish it. We will try it again in a few month in hopes it improves

So I ordered the recommended Chicken roti with the roti separate and to my dismay I could tell that the roti wasn t fresh. I thought I would be getting the same quality as Taste of TnT and I definitely did not. The curry chicken was lacklustre as well. Such a disappointment tbh. Next time please at least give people fresh paratha

Since it s a new place in Ajax, I ll have to go again, as my first experience wasn t as anticipated. Mona s in Scarborogh is very good, but the Goat curry in Ajax wasn t up to par. The daal poori and Plain paratha were 100%.

Ive been going to the Monas in Scarborough for many years, Im glad to see a location open up in ajax. The food is very great and the service is exceptional! I usually get the chicken roti.

I tried the boneless chicken curry ;sorry to say the chicken was dry with no flavour and the rice and peas were poor quality with no curry sauce. Also the guy who greeted me on the greek side was a little rude and could have used more diplomacy.

Hats off to the team at Monas! From taking our order - the staff member was pleasant and helpful...to packing our order and observing the Monas team work through the pick up window it was a sight to see. Everything was clean, just as a food service operation should be. The staff meticulously checked and doubled our order by labelling each meal, crossing of the list using a highlighter once packed in the bag, and even individually sealing each meal to ensure no leaks. My goodness! These ladies and the operations are above and beyond! Finally, the food: My family each ordered different meals: Curry chicken, curry goat, jerk chicken, and the veggie medley. Everything tasted fantastic! Definitely will go back the next chance we get!

Had the goat roti, it was Delicious with the right amount of spices for the perfect flavor. I will definitely be coming back, its nice to finally have a good roti option closer to home as it saves me the drive to Scarborough each time.

Tried the roti here and asked them if the meat is halal and the lady in the front said yes its halal. When we asked for the certificate she got rude and said they dont give out certificates anymore. Which is a first ! She said they get the meat from Food plus company. Then she said I wont lie to you. So I believed her and got the goat roti. Turns out she was lying. Screenshot attached from the meat company says clearly they dont provide halal meat. Also the restaurant serves pork! We will report them to food and service authorities.

Customer service was good and the location was very easy to find. Unfortunately the quality of the food was horrible I have never in my entire life have had such poor quality roti. The roti I ordered had several flat bone fragment pieces riddled throughout it. I would never recommend this place as there are several other roti locations nearby that offer quality roti dishes.

If you havent tried Monas Roti Ajax you are definitely missing out on this absolute gem of an establishment. The food here is amazing, authentic caribbean cuisine. You cant go wrong with any of the menu items all of their food tastes and looks delicious. If youre not sure what to try, you definitely cant go wrong with a boneless curry chicken dhalpuri roti, or some world class jerk chicken. Forget this idea of dessert for breakfast skip the dishes keeps touting. Why not a nice hot roti for breakfast, or lunch, or dinner? If you eat here your stomach will thank you. Your friends will thank you. Your family will thank you. Excellent service and excellent food. Cant wait to go back.

Just got home from ordering 2 Curry chicken Roti(s).Bought one last week and it was the best Roti I have had in years. My only complaint is I have made 2 trips and both times they wouldnt let me leave a tip. Otherwise, great service from Nick, I think he said his name was. 5 stars for me.

I ordered from Monas through Uber Eats. I ordered the veggie medley roti which comes with 3 veggies and a boneless goat roti. To my surprise when my order arrived I found the veggies were one tablespoon each and the goat included a whopping 3 pieces of goat, all this for $37. I have never seen a restaurant be so cheap with their portions. This was such a huge disappointment. I have eaten at Monas Scarborough and never had issue with the food quality or portion size Not sure if the Ajax location has the same owners as the Scarborough location but they should be embarrassed that they would give a paying customer such a tiny portion of food for the price they paid. I will never order from Monas again.

Tried Mona s roti for the first time and I ll say it s hands down the best roti in Ajax and I ve tried quite a few. It s flavourful and there is variety as to what you can add to it. Looking forward to trying more varieties as well as trying the freak n greak attached to mona s which also looks really good.

Just ordered the jerk chicken meal with rice beans and Curry potatoes. Absolutely loved it. Super flavourful and had the right amount of spice. Been looking to find a decent place for jerk chicken in Durham guess I found one closer to my home. Will definitely try their other offerings.

Monas comfort food for everyone who missing the Caribbean

We ve been going to Mona s in Scarborough for years and thought we d give this one a try. The service here is outstanding. We had goat roti s and our parents a chicken and curried potato and they were great as always. Would definitely order again. Mona s has the best skins!

Delicious fresh rotis. I ordered two on uber eats and they came piping hot. Tons of flavour and good spice. Portion size is a little small compared to others in the area for cheaper. Other than that, amazing food.

I am so happy there is a Monas Roti in Ajax!!! Loving the different food options like Greek Cuisine too! I picked up a #CurryGoatRoti. Now I had some errands to do after my pick up, lets say 30 minutes elapsed. When I unwrapped the tight and neat wrapping, was blown away it was piping hot after so much time! First bite was INCREDIBLE. I opted for the Paratha Roti with slight pepper. So delicious! I cannot express how outstanding it was. The customer service was also AMAZING! Just bought dinner for family and decided to go try out this roti place and I had a Jerk chicken roty which I give 9/10, a bit salty but really good taste and also had curry chicken roti and I give that 6/10, it was fill with so much potato and hardly any chicken, taste was good though.

I ordered the boneless chicken roti with chickpeas, tamarin and pepper sauce and it was phenomenal

Terrible roti. The roti was thin and soggy. Definitely never again. Also they dont accept cash? They are conforming to this new world agenda and I dont respect that either

I wanted to share this post as how proud I was on Sunday 8/15/2021 with the service and the food take out from Monas Roti shop in Ajax. First the lady taking my order was super nice, friendly, helpful, extremely patience and true characteristics of customer service. She allowed me to use the employees bathroom, she pleasantly took my order and requested I park my car closer so she can bring it out when it was ready. Served with a smile and filled with positive energy. Needless to say the meal was perfect temperature and tasty to our liking. Thank you and keep up the good work.

I had the curry chicken roti , 4/5 for amount of food for price, roti should be bigger, but they give about 1.5 time the amount of chicken than other roti places. If they make the roti skin bigger and pack more aloo it would feel real nostalgic of a true roti in Trinidad. Taste is good for chicken roti, 4/5, but could do with a 7pot or congo pepper in the pot for more taste. Soca wrap , real dam good jerk chicken and packed with food. 5/5 . plenty food for the price. was very delicious. When i return I look forward to ordering a jerk chicken with rice and peas. They need 1 more staff member, glad to see the owner making a mint but sad to see the workers running around all over the place. Staff is friendly and professional.

Delicious!!! A nice twist in flavours I haven t tasted in Ajax. The Soca wraps are great with a nice touch of spice. I ll be back to tryout other menu items. Thanks again :)

Just finished eating a curry chicken roti with pumpkin, tamarind and pepper sauce, absolutely delicious with a sweet and spicy kick. Great portion and well priced. Friendly staff , convenient on line ordering. Happy to have this place in Ajax. Looking forward to trying other menu items very soon.

Tried the chicken roti yesterday. Very bland tasted like regular baked with potatoes and thank God for the little bit of pepper in it that gave it some type of taste. Today now THE WORST experience Ever, I have been experiencing diarrhea from 7AM couldn t go into work, projectile vomiting , head ache, chills & stomach ache. I definitely got food poisoning from this location. Very disappointing because I hear so much good things about Mona s and this will never make me want to go there again.

This was an awful experience. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THE AJAX LOCATION! We placed an order a week in advance and they didnt fulfill it. When we asked why a call wasnt placed to let us know it wont be fulfilled, the manager said we beat him to it. We are incredibly disappointed because not only was our order not fulfilled, he told us that it was not worth arguing with us about it over 24 dhal Puris. It was so insulting to know our order was not worth their time. In addition, the dhal Puri was stale. The manager also told us that we could return it all...we would have but it was picked up by a friend and their credit card was used. We couldnt exercise this option. Please continue to support their Scarborough location.
