Rice hard, $1.25 for some hot on your food. The dining area is unattractive in appearance, and it needs to look presentable.

Tuesday Jerk chicken deal, make sure you ask for sauce on top of the rice if you like it spicy!

I ordered a medium chicken soup paid just under $8 and received ZERO boil dumplings. Never again

Terrible quality food and insulting portion sizes. My girlfriend ordered jerk chicken through Uber and they sent this sweet sticky sauce that was gross. There was a 2 for 1 deal so she paid $40 for what was suppose to be $80 but this is 100% done as a scam cause its half the size of a regular order of a walk in special and more expensive. And they didnt even send the vegetables/ coleslaw they noted. Be very wary from ordering from here.

Ordered red peas soup, and it was groce, very salty and some ground provisions was not cooked

Sunrise fry dumpling is good, but the ackee and saltfish is absolutely a disappointment. They should just sell it as ackee because there is no saltfish and it s just spicy which is good but it isn t the best and the peanut porridge is gross. Sorry

The festival is so tough and the fry chicken dinner is ONE thigh cut into three pieces, with two cups of rice. Oxtail gravy tastes like ketchup with sugar. I cant even eat this What a joke!! Kingston Rd corner shop was the best...

Scam location!!! Ordered from them on Uber yesterday, order took way longer than expected. Even after contacting the restaurant and being informed my order should be finished soon, 40 minutes had gone by and nothing, so me being a human being, canceled the order cause mi hungry and now mi getting charged all because the food never come. Kmt y all should actually run me the food I m forced to pay for. I ll update this review everyday just for my inconvenience while y all have my money.

Love this restaurant! Since the new owners took over, it has improved so much! I have nothing bad to say the food is 10/10 with great costumer service

I actually never used to like Sunrise food at all until 1 day when Shanette at this location prepared my fish! She is the best Sunrise chef ever! #1 Fish! She does it just right! Im addicted. When youre a real Jamaican you know good food when you taste it. The other day this location didnt have fish so my friend and I went to the location on Kingston Road. Was the biggest mistake ever! I was so disappointed! Next time Ill wait on the Westney location. % recommended The whole staff is very friendly too. Great customer service. Sorry I really cant rate their Chicken and oxtail etc because I only eat fish.

I know the running joke about Jamaican restaurants is the terrible the customer service the better the food. Sunrise, please note this does not apply to you. Ordered roti and the chicken was hard and dry with very little curry seasoning. It reminded me of chicken pot pie filling with hot sauce added. Definitely will not be ordering again.

Bland food. Curry goat roti is 90% bones. No flavour and over priced.

Average at best. I swear my oxtail had A ketchup sauce.

Should have a no star botton Placed an uber eat order at this store and waited almost 1 hour so i decided to call the store directly, only to be told by 2 employees one male one female that my order wasnt a priority since they have lots of people in the store, my total was $55 so i guess my purchase wasnt good enough. Customer Service at this place is trashy , every customer should be treated as a priority not only the ones standing infront of you!!!!

This used to be my favorite Sunrise location, but the food is no longer good. The recipes have changed! The fried chicken and the chicken soup tastes horrible. They no longer taste like the original recipes.

You got to try the jerk tacos . They are the bomb. Please keep them on the menu.

Ill give it a 3 out of 5. I give them a 3 because at least my breakfast of ackee and saltfish with provision and peanut porridge always look good and fresh. If I order king fish with rice and peas and steam veggies for dinner it looks good and fresh. I loved and respected the workers there when the place first opened in 2015 but year after year its new people popping up all the time and they come with an attitude they need to fix. Anyway, adios.

The meat was under_cook had to throw it out. Try calling but no answer to let owner know and also bring back content to them.

I ordered the Large Callaloo Meal (Vegan) on Uber Eats and it was really good, the portion size was amazing I felt full throughout the day. Very good value, would recommend this to people who love home cooked meals.

For the second time in row my order was cancelled after being confirmed through Uber eats. Waiting almost 1 hour when I got a message saying they cancelled the order. This place clearly dont know how run a business. Never will order from them again.

The lady at the front has no manners very rude not the first time, I have been to this restaurant a few time and its alway the same attitude from her no smile she get irritated when asks simple question. This time I end up walking out without buying anything, will never visit this location again.

Soup SUPERRR SALTY -, OMY!!! My pressure went up!!! I had a headache from 5 spoons of soup- I couldnt drink it! Need to make quality jamaica soup , not salt water!!! No dumplings No food! Ill skip the soup and stick with the rest. Like the Breakfast and Porriage combo!!

This location is very close to where I live. Ive been here a few time, it been a year since I order today. Ive been eating at the whitby location for 2 days,the food was very good and they give a lots. But this location give almost half of what I get at the whitby location. And my wife feels the same. Then I remember why I havent come here for the food anymore

Ordered from Sunrise for the First time and it was amazing! Told the young lady, Janelle, it was my first time and she explained the food to me and made sure food was fresh. Very clean place. Staff was super polite. Definitely recommend this location at Westney Heights. We ordered jerk chicken and snapper. Food was sooo good.

Oh boy, I should have looked at the reviews before ordering my food because they tell a telling story. We called at 7:20 PM for takeout and woman on the phone said to hurry up because they close at 8:00 PM. Absolutely no customer service skills, which should have been another red flag. We got to the restaurant at 8:40 and to pick up the food and the lady said she cancelled our oder because she thought we were not going to show up? This was shocking to us, how do you assume that, and if they were worried about us randomly cancelling, they should have called and confirmed our oder and not wait until we drove to the restaurant to find that out. They lady was not apologetic. but her mother, the older woman seemed sorry. I truly dont know how they run their business. We went there with our toddler who had to wait an extra 15 minutes for food that should have been ready. On top of that, we come home to rotten coleslaw. RUN from this place and save your money. We will be filing a complaint to head office as well.

Not surprised at all looking at the rating. I mean seriously do they not read the reviews and at least try to do better. I paid $9.99 for white rice which they load on and 5 pieces of goat! If I had seen that before I got home, I definitely would NOT have bought it! Huge rip off! Very disappointing.

This isbone of the worst tasting food in the city. If the food is not salt, it has absolutely no taste or too much blackpepper. The attitude from the staff is ridiculous . WORST TASTING FOOD FOR A JAMAICAN RESTAURANT . After eating some of the food I had to eat a candy just to avoid . Nasty.

Tried their breakfast combo the food wasnt bad however there more tomatoes, onions and sweet pepper than actual salt mackrel. Portion size was small and a little pricey.

The worst corneal porridge ever it just tasted like a bag of sugar. Sunrise has downhill rapidly in the last 3 years.

I ve only been here once so far as I just found it today, but the BEST CHICKEN ROTI!!! It has so much flavour and spice, most places (even Beryl s!) don t have as much flavour even when I ask for it spicy. Here I forgot to ask, and it still came out perfectly, I should be sweating as I eat my roti or it ain t doing it for me haha! It is a little pricey on first impression, but the serving was big so I have left overs, and LOTS of chicken in it to make it worth the price!

This restaurant is generally clean and I can see some effort to provide good service. I gave them two star because it misrepresents what Jamaican/Caribbean food should look and taste like and the lunch/dinner meals are acceptable. Their breakfast however is drowning in oil and the portions are small. For example, I ordered okra and saltfish with banana and dumpling. I got a piece of banana and 1 piece of dumpling which was already cut. The dumpling looks like a quarter of a whole dumpling if not less than a quarter. The taste wasn t bad but their breakfast requires more flavour. There is more seasoning than meat or vegetables. Their Ackee and Saltfish should be called an Onion Special with ackee flavour. Their Okra and a Saltfish should be called Onion Special with Okra and a Saltfish flavour. I think they should revert to the food they used to provide 3 years ago. I go there out of convenience and to check if there are any improvements. My spouse no longer orders food from them and I have found better quality Jamaican food in the area.

I ve been there before and the management skills are way off can t be rude to your workers and customers and expect people to continue coming.

Family deal goes up to $31 and got smaller portions compared to when it was $26. Cook was eating from where my food was being prepared in the front. Owner hasnt responded to any other reviews, this probably wont go far.

Awful customer service. Just terrible. Extremely rude and disrespectful cashier that closes on Saturday nights. You know who you are.

Good food at this location

- Super small portions/containers. - They are usually out of a lot of menu item, could be considered a good thing, or not, who knows. - Staff/employees are just okay, not the friendliest or best service. - Good location though (been here a few times, but wouldnt necessarily go back) - Barely any coleslaw in the little cup.

Food used to be much better. Picked up family meal special with oxtail order and paid about $53. Given the quality and quantity...not really worth it.

I just got a side of jerk chicken and it was a pretty good portion for the price (3 pieces for about $5). i went Sunday late morning and it was freshly made and delicious.

Service was not friendly at all... no smiles. They look at you and say yes?... like they are doing you a favour by serving you. Food was garbage, jerk (and I use that word loosely) was non existent. Maybe if I closed my eyes and breathed out fast while chewing I would get the hint on jerk that was barely there. I just ordered a bottle of water and a quarter piece of chicken. No rice and peas no veggies, but clearly the people working there have no concept of what a 1/4 peace of chicken is... I got one wing and 1/3 piece of a chicken breast. Not the whole breast as what it should be but just a third of it. Chicken was dry, over cooked and old tasting. The best part of my order was the Aquafina water bottle. Never again!

Service was good but the food taste like fast food an nothing like authentic Caribbean cooking. TOO MUCH SALT AND TOO LITTLE TASTE... You should do better sunrise.

I think the service in the mornings is great and there is usually a variety to choose from at the Westney location

Ordered Ackee and Saltfish, I wish I could post the pic of how little was in the container. Try to pretty it up with porridge and a festival. $12. Never again in this life or the next.

Ok where do I start. Peanut porridge is over priced and all you taste is SUGAR. The fried chicken was good until I saw a huge FEATHER. The plain rice seems like it was cut from the pot with a knife, it had no taste of salt or a little butter. Waste of my money. I only had about 2% of the entire meal. Called today at 1pm to ask what time the daily special is finished an older lady rudely said there is no special, I asked what do you mean todays special is curry chicken she then said we dont have any I didnt make it I only have boneless curry chicken and thats not special. So I asked her if theres anything she can do she then replied no no special did you call to bother me or make a order. I asked who am I speaking with she replied I DONT KNOW I asked what is your name she kissed her teeth and hung up. Ive been a daily customer since its been open.I will not drive to the Salem location even though further for me.I have a large audience and I will be using it..the website statement does not match the customer service

Went today for a patty and coco bread. No coco bread ...so i ask for 2 pattys ..we only have one the lady says . at 145 in the afternoon you have no patty and no coco bread. Looks like i am going somewere else from now on. If you dont have the basics i can only imagine what the rest of your food is like .

Horrible food portions!! I ordered ackee and salt fish for breakfast and they reassured me that there was a lot of salt fish so I purchased it. When I get home and open it there was NOTHING! Only bone, ackee, green pepper onions and oil. Unbelievable tell your chef to make proper food portions especially for the prices you guys charge.

The service in the morning is always good. The breakfast always tastes great. Love the cornmeal porridge. Just a little pricey.
