The best Chinese food Ive had in ajax- actual chicken in the chicken balls and the sweet and sour sauce isnt watery and tasteless like other places. They only get a 4 though because their fried wings are NOT good. Its a shame because everything else is.

Take out chinese restaurant. Probably one of the cleanest I have ever seen. I have purchased the lunch special and was not disappointed. Taste great and portions were nice and large. My first purchase from here was cantonese chow mein, and just look at the crazy portion I received. Would definitely recommend for your chinese food fix in Durham.

I ve said this before but I m gonna say it again. The BEST Chinese food in all of Durham, I love that I don t have to drive out all the way to Scarborough for some good Chinese food ! The deep fried chicken wings are a MUST!! Highly recommend. I work at the restaurant beside and I always come here for lunch, great staff and amazing food .

Quicker service. Smaller space. Their spring rolls are good, but I would not suggest the noodles. They seemed to be packed and covered in a sauce that just made them taste like paste. Probably will not return with so many other choices available.

Fresh, cooked properly, good portion sizes and good value. We asked for not much salt. What we ordered was still too salty and loaded in MSG however the meal was ruined definitely by the free sweet and sour ribs when spending over $45: that food was precooked and it was way over the top in being ridiculously salty. We would have been better off with a free bottle of water. I think with some more effort, this restaurant could be a five star; until then: not recommended.

This is the best Chinese food I have ever had. I strongly recommend eating here, general tso, lemon chicken are personal favorites, but honestly, best food. Great price, great quantity, and 10/10 taste.

The best Chinese food in Durham by far. We ordered from here recently and it was a hit as usual. Their food is delicious (black pepper chicken is now my new favourite) and they really fill the containers! The prices are great for the amount and quality of food you get. Most importantly the staff have always been amazing. I ve been ordering for over 5 years and they go above and beyond to make their customers happy (they include lots of pepper every time that I ask, they ve rushed to make and order right after opening so I could get it for lunch without being late, their delivery times are always a few minutes early, etc.) this definitely is a local small business whose deserves five stars and support! Thank you guys again!

Caution once you eat the food you ll be addicted I drive from Oshawa just to get my favourite food. I got the general tao chicken with vegetable fried rice lunch special with either a complimentary pop or egg roll. It cost around 10 bucks and was absolutely delicious. It was enough food for 2 meals really. Outstanding. This place is a gem.

This restaurant would ve received a higher rating if it wasn t for the teenage girl Thea who works the front. When I called to order, she kept cutting me off and putting me on hold. When I told her I wanted a dish a specific way she said okay . Then when I went to pick up my food the order was wrong, when I specifically told her I didn t want a certain thing in my food. I went back inside and told them that my order was incorrect and she started to argue with me. Her attire was terrible as well, sweater hood on, jacket hood on, eating fries and on her phone at the counter. When she was arguing with me she told me that I didn t say I wanted the dish a specific way. If she didn t cut me off she would ve heard what I said. Absolutely terrible experience for a first time visit. Will not be coming back again.

Seriously the BEST Chinese take out in Durham. A lot of other Chinese takeout has fallen off, and while I don t need overly nice and over the top customer service, the staff here are NICE and act like they appreciate your business. Portions are huge and delicious. Fresh ingredients and well priced.

Ok so this is the second time it happens to me i order last 2 weeks ago i call ahead to pick up and i ve been told that it s gonna be 25 mins so when i came there i notice they are busy its understandable but the fact that i had to wait for 17 mins standing there eventhough i call ahead so i call to order ahead this afternoon around 3:27pm i ask how long this lady told me it will be ready in like 30-35 mins i said ok thank you will be there so i came there around 4:10 and yes they are really busy and there s 3 people waiting inside i waited for 5 mins i thought my order was ready 2 people already got their food and i waited again still not getting my order so i ask the girl how long till my order is ready? She said i told you its gonna be ready in 35 mins and you came in early( with attitude) i was like no not really i call around 3:27 and i came around 4:10 so its like almost 45 mins i gave them enough time cuz i dont wanna wait thats the reason why i call right? I understand if its only 5 mins but i m literally standing there for almost 15 mins she didn t even say anything that my order is not ready and atleast let us know or maybe give a proper time so that people are not waiting its obvious that they are swamped with orders why tell 30 mins and all of a sudden food is not ready if i ve been told a proper time like 45-1 hour its fine i ll still order my food and come but coming there and my order is not ready its a waste of time for me and at the same time the lady has an attitude the chinese lady at the back i can tell on her face that she is being sorry but this lady at the front no not even close then as soon she hand my food didn t even say anything just turn around extremely rude i didn t even bother saying anything to them whatever i still give credits to the chef and his assistant for doing a great job for providing a fresh food it wasn t for them we will never come back we do love their food for sure but pls teach your front staff if you don t wanna lose your customer like i said we will still come back hopefully we will never experience this again i m giving 3 stars for the food and chef. Lose 2 stars cuz of the rudeness of the girl and my experience 2 weeks ago and today.

My favourite Chinese restaurant. Portions are like no other place in Durham, you get your moneys worth. Quality has been consistent since they opened. If you have a gathering, you know your peers will enjoy their meal and you will have enough food to feed your crowed without breaking the bank. I am so happy they have reopened as I was struggling to find a comparable location to eat at.

Good food .. but I wish they were tied to a food delivery app. Ordered Food at 4:45 and it arrived at 6:45. Had 3 small kids starving at home . Get with the times !!!

My new go to. Anything Ive had so far, freshly made and delicious served in abundant portions. Not their fault but parking lot difficult to exit if a GO train arrives when there getting take out. I assume would impact delivery drivers also

Best Chinese food Ive had in Durham region! One of the best Ive had in the GTA. The homemade spring rolls are great, better than the frozen ones you get at other places. Vegetarian options: Lots of tasty veg options on the menu. Dietary restrictions: Just let them know and they can suggest substitutions. Parking: Plaza parking lot is free and always has parking.

I felt for Chinese food in the area. Found C&T Wok on Google with great reviews. I ordered their chilli chicken and added a won ton soup because it was the Tuesday special. Really like the soup and the chilli chicken was aiight. The portions and price was reasonable. I would definitely try C&T Wok again when I am in the area. Thank you! Tony Manila

Stumbled on this place by accident. I wanted chow mein but I didn t want to drive to Scarborough to the place I usually go. Upon trying the food I am shocked. The price, the quality, the flavour, and the portions are superb. As someone who doesn t get home until later in the evening I also appreciate their hours of operation. I will definitely be ordering from here from now on. Give them a try if you want good food.

The atmosphere rating really doesn t apply here as this is basically take out only place but the food is delicious. From what I ve seen You have at least 3 choices of Chinesse style: authentic Chinesse, Caribbean and my personal favorite the western style (from my experience in multiple countries). Don t miss the house fried rice! Is the best! The other reason I love this place is because they don t go cheap on the meat like all the other places I ve been in Ajax: shrimps are the right size, sweet and sour chicken actually has chicken in it as opposed to the other places that have more crust / carb than meat, and you get the idea. Since I discovered this place I never looked back for my Chinese food needs.

First and last time, bad experience never again Our New Years go to is under renovation. So thought to give this a go. From my first mouthful not impressed. 70.00 wasted. Free spareribs had small shards of bone that were so dangerous. The batter on the chicken balls and lemon chicken so guy was not cooked through. Fatty bbq pork and pork chop sui. There was so much garlic in it I swear it was covering up something. Shrimp fried rice and the fortune cookie was the only accepted item ordered. I wanted to return it and take the loss. Money back would have been good. But my wife is too nice. Love her.

Family fave for a number of years now. We love, love the generous portion, friendly team, CLEAN environment and affordable price. We are able to feed 8 on the combo for 4, not kidding. The kids loves the general tao chicken and black pepper bean just to name 2. I love the vegetable because it fits into my healthy diet. Steam Broccoli and Cauliflower, or the steam snow pea so delicious. We havent tried a meal we did not like

Portions are excellent and food is fresh. West Indian fried rice is good. Bbq/roast pork is just ok; they seem to be the same even though theres separate lines on the menu for bbq pork and roast pork respectively. I like the taste of the Mango chicken but it was very stringy and overcooked giving my jaw a workout just to eat it. Liked the free spareribs they give and the pepper sauce.

This has to be one of the best places in Ajax for Canadian Chinese food. The food is so hot, fresh and so tasty. Great value as well. They have 3 tiers for free items. The Cashew Nut Chicken is my favorite.

Its rare I give an establishment five stars but I was entirely blown away by the food they prepared for me. I still have some complaint which I will address later but still to me this is the BEST Chinese food Ive tried in Canada from may be close to a dozen different Chinese restaurants. I ordered two lunch specials which came to under $10 each. I was surprised how heavy the boxes were and at another location where I spent over $4 for the same dish, the quantity (and flavor) were much less. Now the complaint I have is with Shanghai noodles that i ordered. The veggies were the most perfectly charred I have tasted anywhere, and meat seared to perfection. [Edit] before I wrote that the sauce also tasted burnt but that was not the case when I ate the noodles at room temp. It was tiny amount of fish sauce which tasted burnt to me when I ate the noodles piping hot, but the flavor profile changed when I ate at room temp. The noodles themselves didnt have any bite and were very mush and very much overcooked. [Edit] they tasted fine and not mush at room temp. Now the rice dish which I ordered from their lunch special was as good as I might eaten from other best place and I was still extremely impressed by the quantity they served. Although this place is probably for take out only as I didnt see any tables, I feel this restaurant is a GEM and must try for people living in or visiting Ajax. Highly Recommend.

I would highly recommend this take out restaurant. Value - the portion sizes are really generous and lots of extra free items you get with your order. Taste / quality - the food has an authentic West Indian Chinese style Flavour. I really enjoyed the rice dishes, and the steam vegetables as well as the bak Choy in garlic sauce. Location - the place is easily accessible both by public transit or personal vehicle. It s located in the Go train parking at Ajax. The location looks clean and you can clearly see the Chef cooking from the pickup desk. I look forward to visiting again and trying a few more items. Pork fried rice - amazing Steam vegetables- amazing Guyanese style chicken friend rice ( that how the girl described it ) - amazing Bak Choy in garlic sauce - amazing.

My first time ordering dinner at C&T wok and it did not disappoint. The food was so fresh and the Spicey cashew chicken was excellent as well as the other dishes we ordered...we will definitely be back.

Update on January 23rd, 2021 I bought more dishes from this place a week after my initial review where I gave them 5 stars, and this time it was a completely different experience. Please do yourselves a favour and do not order pad thai from this place. Not only does it taste bland, but it also had hair in it. Also, they put steaming hot fried rice in a styrofoam container causing the container to melt with the rice in it which is a health hazard. A little common sense like inserting an aluminum foil inside the styrofoam container before putting hot food will go a long way. Hairnets will also help. Customers buying food with their hard-earned money shouldnt find hair in their food. Initial Review on January 16th, 2021 I decided to give this place a try due to the high Google ratings and Im glad that I did. I ordered 4 things off of their menu and all 4 tasted real fresh, real good. This is going to be my new Chinese take out place going forward.

Was really good. Containers filled to the max. Dont cheap out on the meat and even added a free batter bites kind of dish. If it were local for me it would be my go to place for Chinese food but we got it Passing through town.

We spent $67 on a meal for my family. Food was great but noticed something was missing. I called the restaurant and they apologized and said they would credit the whole order next time. WOW! Amazing service. She even told me the amount of a credit that is on my account. I was not expecting that and was shocked and impressed. Fast-forward to tonight when I call to use my credit and she said she was once again going to credit me for the whole meal and then backtracked by saying the whole meal of the missing items. What?? She kept backtracking and said that she would only credit the whole meal of the missing items. Absolutely awful. I wasnt expecting her to credit my whole meal initially, but it annoyed me that she would offer this and then take it back. What is the point of that??

Lots of fresh veggies in meals. They dont skimp of sizing. I love picking up. And watching chef prepare. They work with you on food preferences. Best of all Food tastes great. Ive tried other places in Ajax and stopped when I came here.

The sesame chicken was horrible. This is not sesame chicken and definitely not what I thought I was going to get. The sauce was too thick, overly sweet and gross. There was no sesame seeds on the chicken. Would not recommend.

Bomb Guyanese Chinese food.

This place is very busy, yet they get your order ready in a timely manner. The food is always fresh and tastes good. My favorite is the Caribbean rice with chicken and their chicken balls. Soooo good. The woman that works up front is extremely hard working and has great customer service skill. Recommend this place!

Not sure why people are overloading at Carribean heat?!?!? Have yall tried this place???? Try the salt and pepper shrimp, ask to add ginger! And try the Guyanese fried rice with chicken on top and ask to add beef. Make sure u get their Guyanese home hot sauce on the side. To die for!!!! Portion is ten times from anywhere! Wait? What? Is this place for real? Just try it once for price, quantity and on top of everything, freshness ! I know lot of cheap Chinese places around in a radius about 3 kms from this place and trust me, they are beyond competition ... even though they dont have hand sanitizer in the shop, their food can heal cravings for sure and the quantity is just wow.... sorry, I know it will be the reason for my weight increment.... cannot help!

Caribbean and Chinese fusion. Food is cooked as you order so it is always fresh and hot. Very reasonable prices for the size of the orders. Plan on take out or delivery as there is a very minimal space for dine in. Ample parking as it is in the Ajax GO Station. Friendly staff and very jolly. You can order for one (size is usually good for two or three people) or order a party tray. My favorites are their spring rolls, beef with mixed veggies, sweet and sour pork and beef Shanghai noodles. Flavoring is just right. Not too salty nor too bland. It is my go to place when Im in a pinch for cooking food for home, parties with friends and potlucks at work.

A friend sent me some of this food .. Had some type of noodle with fried rice. Excellent! The rice has that Smokey type taste which is hard to describe but delicious to taste, the noodles were also very very good. I am definitely ordering from here in the future... Try the Chili Chicken or Chicken Balls, the lunch food boxes are filled to the brim having enough food for at least 2 sittings. I have been looking for cheap affordable and great Chinese food in Durham region for over 7 years now trying most restaurants and always being disappointed, but I can finally say I found a great Chinese food place in Durham region and can recommend to anyone! The food is extremely fresh and prepared well. I am always impressed when I order from C&T Wok. Also, the Ladies who work the front are very friendly and the Cook has over a 2 decades of experience working at Downtown Asian Cuisine Restaurants. When I order over the phone it generally takes them 8-10 mins to prepare, they are very fast!

DELICIOUS! Thats all I can say loool Well, my boyfriend introduced me to this shop. I wasnt sure if itll be good because of the small space they have. Apparently most of their orders are take outs so thats explains the small space. The prices are so cheap but the serving and the taste of their food are excellent. (Unlike some stores I know) Highly recommended!

Really good food at a budget friendly price. I love the fact that there is a window for the kitchen so you can see the cook at work. I tired the Guyanese Fried Rice and Guyanese Lo Mein noodles and it remind me of Guyana.

Food was great! I ordered a Dinner for 3. Egg rolls were delish, the beef and mixed vegetables had lots of nice veggies in it: yellow pepper, corn, baby boy choi, broccoli, cauliflower. No big hunks of onion and celery as the only veggies! Fried rice was very good. Chicken balls were very tasty. No complaints. I miss my old fave place, Chef Yan in Pickering, but I think weve found a winning replacement!

Recently found this little jewel of a takeout hidden away in a corner of Ajax. Youll find it around the corner of the Ajax GO Station and no wonder, its a favorite of commuters. Its a takeout, so dont expect to dine in however there are a couple of chairs for those waiting for orders. Apart from regular dish orders Chinese/Thai/Caribbean, they have a lunch special and a weekly menu. The service was polite and quick and you can watch them cooking up and preparing your meal. Needless to say the food was piping hot! My favorites: Chili Beef with Steamed Rice and the Vegetable Fried Rice with General Tao Chicken. Also enjoyed their weekly special of 4 Spring Rolls with 4 Samosas for $4. Great place to go for really good food.

Great place

Its so hard to find a good Chinese food restaurant, at least in Ajax. This place was ok but not the best they use tonnes of batter on the chicken balls and shrimp and the lo mein was really mushy and no soy sauce on it, wasnt very good at all. The wife and I have sworn off Chinese food as a hole, not just because of this restaurant but all of them weve tried having not been good.

By far the best Cantonese food in Ajax. They even topped them up on their take out containers too and the price is very good too. My new go to Chinese take out.

First timers to this take out... Very impressed. Clean kitchen environment, friendly cashier. For $35, the amount of food you get is incredible. All hot and fresh. I would certainly recommend, one of the best in Ajax!
