I ordered a lemon chicken combination plate with chicken fried rice and bean sprouts. The chicken was fine, the egg roll was a little bit overcooked, the bean sprouts was good but the rice was a little bit soggy. About 80% of the order was rice and bean sprouts leaving me with a lot of leftovers. I got my order in about 10 minutes.
We discovered this place a few months ago and absolutely love it! We both love Chinese cuisine and decided to try this one. Couldn’t be happier with the service, quality, taste, portions and price!

Tiny amount of food for price.. This was are go to place for two years. We loved it. But last night we ordered the same dishes that we aways did. The price was $25 more then we always spent and that's fine prices went up on food. But there was so little food it did not feed us. Usually what we order gave us left overs for the next day but this time we were all still hungry and not enough food. The chicken dish was so small there was noting in it. The lemon chicken had 5 tiny popcorn size chicken. Less then mcdonald's kids meal nuggets.
Fast and fairly priced! Their dumplings are one of the only places in ajax that pan fry them, and their Shanghai noodles are always a favorite.
Pleasantly surprised about this restaurant. Purchased a takeout for the Steamed Dumpling, General Tao Chicken, and Garlic Spareribs. The steamed dumplings had a nice texture. The filling has a flavour more akin to Chinese BBQ pork. The dipping sauce that is provided also compliments the flavour of the dumplings. Overall, the amount you get for the price; the steamed dumplings is a great value. As for the General Tao, the breading has a nice crunch and the sauce was sweet. Sometimes I find that other Chinese takeouts put too much sauce that the chicken turns out soggy (like Fine Taste Hakka). But our order here had a perfect amount of sauce that maintains the crunch of the chicken while still big on flavour. The garlic spareribs had great flavour and portions as well. I ordered around 11AM-ish when the store opened and our order was ready for pick up after 15-20 minutes or so. No delays upon pick-up thus far (as per what the other reviewers have mentioned). Overall, we are glad that we tried out this place and it will be our go-to place for Chinese takeout going forward.
Ordered shrimp egg foo young and Singapore noodles for dinner. The Singapore noodles was decent but the egg foo young was very disappointing - 90% of the dish was just all vegetables. It is a shame because the dish actually had good flavour but there was barely any egg at all in it.
Great value for price, had the chicken balls, veggies and chicken fried rice combo for one. Everything was delicious. Will definnately order again.

Ordered on New Year s Eve. I placed my order earlier in the day and it was ready when I expected. Chicken balls were good, like everyone is saying. But they didn t provide sauce for them like I anticipated. (The bright orange stuff). I got an alternative. (Not sure what it was). I wasn t a big fan of the chicken and gravy. As the gravy was a bovril based thin broth. More like an au jus dip. Overall the Chinese food was good. But the accompanied sauces sucked. So I probably wouldn t order again there, as I m a big condiment person. So my rating is 4/5 for the Chinese food. But 1/5 for the missing traditional orange sauce and gravy I m used to getting with my Chinese food. For me they need to go hand in hand.
I have ordered from here multiple times, amazing food and the girl who works at the front is the sweetest! I would highly recommend the black pepper beef and chicken balls. The prices are good for the food you receive. Will definitely be back, keep up the amazing work!

Little upset that they advertise 10% off if you pay cash. Ordered online and when I went to pay, they did not honor it. Said you needed to call in the order and not on the website. Very odd as you think it would be easier. Also missed part of the order. noticed when I got in car. I went back in and they assured me it was in the bag. Got home, and guess what, it was not in the bag. Food was good though. Just need a lesson in customer service.
I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews. They did a good job with the chicken balls and egg rolls (although a little light on the filling). The green beans, the lo mein and beef with vegetables were black from all the soya sauce they dowsed on it. Will never order from here again.

The best! Pick-up only but worth the drive. Best Singapore Noodles, Chicken Chop Suey, Spring and Egg rolls (Crispy and Fresh), Salt and pepper Shrimp was great! Not oily or salty.
Consistently good and fresh Chinese food. We like their beans, soups, chop suey, general Tao, black bean, and ginger dishes. This is our go to in Ajax.

Decent Chinese food. Unfortunately, its quite heavy on the msg and Ive been sensitive to it causing headaches.
The price is not that bad . .and the chicken shanghai noodle is amazing i just go there tonight the taste if authentic i love it

Don t be deceived by this small family-run business. The food is hot, fresh and the best Chinese Food our family has had in Durham Region. No MSG, no oily taste and definitely a must for those living in Ajax-Pickering. We live in North Pickering, and it s worth the 15 minute Trek. Try the Bourbon Chicken, Shanghai Noodles and the Red Tai Curry Beef, they are exceptional!!!
I tried this place for the first time yesterday. Just wanted to try a new local place. Good food but unbelievably terrible wait. I ordered 2 fried rice dishes through their website at 5:50pm. It indicated it would.be ready at 6.21pm. I arrived at the restaurant at 630pm and it was not ready. I didnt receive my order until 7:05pm. Thats a bit ridiculous for 2 rice dishes (over an hour from the time of order to being ready). Also the system they have when you are at the restaurant and the communication was terrible. No one indicated how long the wait would be, you just have to pretty much stand, wait and hope your order is coming soon. They come out with one order, drop it off and disappear quickly and you have to rush to catch them if you have a question about your order. As much as the food was good, its unreasonable to be standing there for 40 mins for a pickup order. This was my first and will be my last time at this place, there are too many other similar good places around with better service.
I would love to give this wonderful place more than 3 stars because their food is amazing. BUT DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE ON A FRIDAY. I ordered at 545pm and was told my food would be ready in 20 minutes. At 610pm I walked in and let them know I was there to pickup. They hadnt even started my food. I asked again at 620pm and still had not started my food. 630pm I asked for refund, and was told no as they had just started cooking my food. 645pm I FINALLY received my food. I will NEVER order on a Friday again. Do NOT tell someone 20 minutes and then make them wait another 40 minutes on top of that.

Excellent!! I have ordered from here three times. And have ordered from one other place l prefer this over the other. The food is delicious and hot. And I ordered on Friday night by Uber and the food came exactly as was told. I will definitely order only from here for Chinese again. Ordered again March 19, 2021! Picked up the order was super fresh, not at all greasy. General tsoi super delish. Their food is so tasty. Excellent!!! Thank You

The worst RESTURAUNT in Ontario. Despite giving many chances ordering delivery, they constantly forget half the order. 3 times now in 2 months. Do not order delivery unless you want half order. They will refund you for missing items but thats not what I want. I want a complete order. This place needs better staff.
good Chinese food great service
Ordered through Uber Eats and waited 2 hours for the food. The first driver picking up the order gave up and left (can t say I blame him) and the restaurant made the second driver wait. Two hour wait for 2 chicken dishes and 1 rice dish is ridiculous. The egg rolls were cold and had barely anything in them. The other dishes were okay. This WAS my favourite restaurant for Chinese food, but because of the ridiculous wait time, I will never order from them again.

I ordered through Door Dash for Thursday lunch, it was ready for pick-up really fast! That was the only good thing about my experience however. I got the vegetarian Pad Thai and it was not good at all, unfortunately. I had high hopes for this place. Maybe other food items are good (according to other reviews), but the Pad Thai is definitely NOT! 3 stars is a generous review. More like 2.5
Best Chinese food I had in a long time perfect service
I ordered the BBQ pork fried rice, general tso chicken, the ginger and onion beef, egg rolls and chicken balls. All very good. I ordered the general tso chicken extra spicy but no spice or chilies, overall very good.
Excellent food, tasty ingredients cooked with care. Have been 5 times & never disappointed. About time we had a good Chinese restaurant in Ajax. Doesn t look like much but well worth a visit. Not a great location so hope it is able to make it in a competitive market. Please give them your support.
The food here is good, I had the Beef with chinese greens (bok choy) the only negative thing I would say is you have to buy steamed rice, It doesnt come with the dish!! I normally expect to get rice when I order meat dishes. Would have given 4 stars if it werent for this.

I just happened to come across this restaurant when I did a google search. I normally go to Oriental Kitchen in Pickering village, but i didn t feel like driving out there. I was extremely happy with the food I ordered from Golden Crown (dinner for one - C2). I will definitely order from them again.

Well there is a group of seven people mostly food delivery waiting to find out if their order is ready. But there is no one at the counter to tell us. It looks like they are doing one order at a time. But no one is able to tell us anything.
