Ordered the Combo N which was chicken balls, rice, and noodles. Chicken balls and rice were okay but the noodles were disgusting. They had NO sauce on them at all and most of them were rock hard and all stuck together.

Excellent food and very friendly staff all of the time! Tonight we had General tao chicken, Cantonese sweet and sour chicken, chow mein with bean sprouts and jumbo egg rolls. Everything thing was hot and very tasty. Delivery was super fast.

My parents went to pickup food from here recently and the staff were exceptional. Particularly one staff member who offered my father a bandage and was very accommodating and compassionate. Highly recommend this place for their food but more importantly their exceptional customer service.

Well, the flyer states free item over 48$ before taxes, up until Dec. 31 2022, but except holidays! My order was well over 48$ but they wouldnt give me a free item because they were saying its a holiday on Dec. 31, News Years eve, but it isnt a holiday and it even stated on their flyer free item up to Dec. 31/22 This is false advertising!!!

If youre looking for old school Chinese Food, this is the place to go. There is actually a chunk of chicken in their homemade chicken balls. Can you believe that? Also, their Cantonese style chow mein has soft, flavourful and moist noodles. Try finding that anywhere else. Cripes! Now I want Chinese Food. Lol

The food here is incredible. It doesnt matter if you eat in or take it out, it delicious. The home made egg rolls are amazing, and just like the old Lichee Gardens in downtown Toronto. Everything on the menu is delicious served hot and you really get your money worth. While dining in, the service is incredible. Jason and the young Lady are extremely pleasant. We moved from Durham and I still travel from Peterborough to either dine in or pick up and take home. The other location on Kingston road near Morningside is very good as well. To the staff, please keep up the excellent work running the best restaurant around. Hope to see you soon Jason. Parking: Lots of parking right at the door.

July 2024. It is one of rare asian restaurants where the young hostess smiles when you come in. Their lunch special ($7.95) is one of the best priced in the area where $10+ for lunch are quite common nowadays. Tastes good and portion is adequate.

Was my favorite, but quality has dropped drastically in last couple of years. My last order i had to through out one entire dish as shrimp where bad.

The foods we ordered passed our Asian taste buds. The price are affordable and reasonable. Crispy chicken wings and sweet and sour pork are my recommended dishes.

I order from them pretty often and the food is pretty good, I recommend them if you are in the area.

This is my second time coming to house of wong, both times were delicious. They have a lunch special for 7.95 and for the portion you receive, its an incredible deal in today s economy. I got the sesame chicken, the sauce was good, and it came with vegetable fried rice as well. I spoke with the owner upon arrival and he was a very nice guy. Definitely will be back for a third time! They also dont use styrofoam containers which is a huge bonus.

I was craving authentic Chinese food and I found it at House of Wong, the food was great, very tasty, and the portions were more than enough. My new takeout spot in Ajax.

I had a Chinese food craving and this restaurant is close to home. The food was tasty. I was expecting it to be spicier as was advertised, but I suppose it is also a matter of opinion. Hot sauce did the trick. Delish!

Ordered Orange Chicken and Pepper Chicken. It was 75% peppers and chunks of orange and Onions. Barely Any chicken. it was 13$. Not worth it for the money at all. Prices go up and they reduce the amount of meat you get. Not ordering here again.

Dont go! I just ordered from them... got combination plates A, S, P plus deep fried wontons... oh my. Theyre deep fried wonton SKINS, no filling! And theyre over $5.... for skins. The spring roll wrapper was raw on the inside, burnt on the outside. The chicken chop suey was just bean sprouts with a bit of chicken. My husbands chili chicken was... something foreign. Didnt taste like chili chicken. Wont be returning. Portions are good ironically... wouldnt want to eat any more of it!

i used to live in scarborough n didnt like the house of wongs ther wasnt too bad but wasnt my favorite.i moved to ajax and tried there location out here was terrible if you like lots of batter than order from there brutallllllllllllll

Is there any good recommendations for Ajax for food that delivers

Ordered a dinner for 3 for take out last night and was disappointed. The egg rolls tasted good but were undercooked as the wrap on the inside was raw and gooey. The chicken chow mein had literally no sauce, the chicken was bland and boiled and chow mein noodles were spaghettini noodles, they were slimy. The oyster sauce beef was just watery and tasted like they only used a couple spoonfuls of beef broth and no other sauce. The pork fried rice was bland, at least it had a couple pieces of pork fat for flavour in it and the chicken balls were rocks. Go elsewhere if you want Chinese food, it was so disappointing going here. My kids and myself barely ate anything as it was that bad(we are in no way a picky family, we were expecting better Chinese food for sure)

One of the best Chinese food restaurants for take out (and eat in after restrictions are lifted) in the Durham area. I have been ordering from the House of Wong for many years and I have always been pleased with their food and service.

Everything was delicious except the spring rolls. Really under deep fried and sawgy. Not very good at all.

Was very disappointed I ordered dinner for 5 and the amount of food was pathetic and more like a dinner for 3 . We use to order dinner for 5 and you would have enough food for 5 people for 2 days

Just had lunch there. Food was fantastic. I had General Tao and Sweet and sour pork, both with vegetable fried rice. It was the lunch special and we sat in. Service was good and presented (forgot to take pics) Would recommend.

Ordered a soup that was described as having Tofu & Bamboo Shoots and when it came, it contained Pork. This was not advertised and for the vegetarian eater who cannot eat pork, it was an unwelcome surprise. We called this establishment, and were met with angry yelling about how they cant describe everything on the menu.

Great chicken noodle soup and wonton soup. Great take- out service.

Always consistently delicious! Reminds my family of the old, original Cantonese style of Chinese food, not found everywhere. Always fresh ingredients and plentiful portions - try the salt chilli squid!!

6 Stars! Only wish we found them SOONER! Been back here 2 years and having been craving real Schezwan food so finally gave our neighborhood take out a try and WOW. The best weve had in years. All the dishes we ordered were fresh, hot & flavorful. The ginger beef was crispy and superb. Most Chinese restaurants cant get it right as everything is typically soft and soggy. Well be loyal regulars now. Thanks!

This is the best Chinese food I have ever had. I used to go to the location in Scarborough. Then I moved to Oshawa so didn t get there as much. I was so happy when they opened up a location in AJax. I go there as often as I can as the food is the only one I truely enjoy. I will drive from Oshawa to Ajax to get it and will continue to do so. Food is fresh and so tasty. Staff are great too.

I am regular here as I live nearby, its not best for sure but giving 5 starts for the humbleness, taste and price.... I will keep visiting as I am in love with the place after accepting the shortfalls - its love - right? Accepted it the way it is !

Pork had an odd taste. Soo guy came with rice ouddi g instead of mushroom sauce and my daughter asked for more carrots in the Cantonese chow mein and it had carrots. Was not impressed overall.

Today I ordered padthai from here, highly disappointed on the taste of food. I never had this much worst padthai in my life. I hardly saw chicken pieces on the food, though the chicken was very old not fresh. *** please don t waste your money here**.

Experienced the Scarborough restaurant numerous times since it opened many years ago. The food delivery ap has us ordering from the Ajax location, and there have been plenty of orders. We love the salt and pepper shrimp, bacon fried rice and just about anything else on the menu. Theres lots to choose from - we try something different each time along with the previously mentioned must haves. The food is plentiful, fresh and always delicious! Our number one place to order from. The only Chinese restaurant on our list!

Food was good, service was cut and dry, but we are in a pandemic so..meh. prices were cheaper to purchase directly through them then skip the dishes. Noticably different.

Placed the order and after payment and charging my card my order was cancelled and was told the restaurant is not accepting orders. If you didn t want to provide services get your name off from delivery don t waste people time and money.

Delivered via UberEats pretty quickly but... - Shanghai Noodles were hard and seemed a little undercooked, pork was cooked but bland and a little hard too. - Chili Beef was soggy and pretty bland, even more than what one would typically expect with a delivery order. - Salt and Pepper Squid was soggy, bland, and a little hard too. Had to microwave it and throw on more salt before eating more. :(

I ordered a large meal and everything was sub par. The noodles were half cooked, the fried wontons had zero filling and must have been 4 days old, the chili chicken was soggy and had no flavor. Really bad experience

Me and my friends went there two weeks ago, the people very friend. The food is so tasty and our order were great. The most I like is the vegetables very fresh and the price is affordable. I would recommend for people to go there. Amazing!

This is the first time we ordered from here. The dinner for 4 was missing the pecan chicken along with the spring rolls. So 4 people are still hungry....how does someone pack an order for 4 with only 3 dishes. The best part the spring rolls also not in the bag. Very disappointed.

Id like to say that some items were good some were bad. Order: 2 egg rolls Special Hot and Sour Soup Beef Cantonese Chow Mein Ginger Ale Start with the Good: Egg Rolls were short but really fat, nice and golden brown, and great flavour. Ginger Ale - Canada Dry The Bad: Special Hot and sour soup was ok, had lots of chunks of meat and shrimp. Was spicy which is great, but tasted just like spicy water. Beef Cantonese Chow Mein - was flavourless the noodles were soggy and a white colour, almost like spehgetti noodles. Lots of Celery, decent amount of meat. But was SOOOO FLAVOURLESS. I wont be back, I may pop in randomly for an Egg Roll, but overall it was a waste of $40 bucks.

Was our first time trying the food from here. We chose this place because it was recommended. Ended up being disappointed in our food. Lemon chicken isnt as what we thought. Same with noodles and the chili chicken not hot at all... the 4 of us did not like the food. The only thing that tasted good was the fortune cookie. On the other hand.... the Staff are friendly and helpful.

I usually order single combination plates from here and they are very generous with the portions. However today we ordered takeout for the family and we were all EXTREMELY disappointed with the portions after paying nearly 100$, the plates were barely filled and if they were, they were 80% filled with vegetables and 20% with meat. We are currently ordering pizza because we are all still hungry. Not worth the takeout whatsoever.

Good food all around but THE BEST egg rolls out of any Chinese restaurant Ive eaten from. Sometimes I stop by just to pick some up. Every person Ive shared them with has been in shock at how good they are. Theyre so full and have so much flavour. Their egg rolls alone could make a complete meal.

$26 for Mr Noodles and soggy General Tao. The Lo Mein is a slop of sticky noodles under a bed of bland veggies and meat. And the General chicken is soggy to the point of being inedible. Very expensive for what you get. Friendly staff though.

Try their Singapore curry noodle dish, shrimp, chicken, bbq pork, vermicelli noodles, onions, mmm, mmm, mmm! Also be sure to try their home-made egg rolls, crisp, steaming pockets of deliciousness

Man oh man. Where to begin.... There was a staple in my rice. I called them and i was treated like absolute worthless garbage. I know it was a total accident that the staple is in there. I highly doubt someone purposely went and put a staple inside the rice but guess what- it happened Owner of House of Wong. And instead of your staff handling the situation logically.. they wasted more of my time. I am more angry as to how i was treated than the stupid staple in the rice. I asked for the manager 10 times. The girl kepy saying talk to me. I want to talk to the manager. I dont trust employees portaying the message. And its an important mistake. But nope. She kept telling me the manager wasnt in and there was no one in charge. I have the entire recording on my phone. She put the phone down and made me wait and she continued to answer other calls for 12 minutes. I heard her laughing in the background. Finally some guy comes on the phone and laughs at me. I told him i didnt want free food i just wanted to have a conversation with someone in charge. But now ill never order from there again. Sincerely, A Better Manager of a better run restaurant.

Incredible food, extreamly fresh!

Ive been going to House of Wong for well over 10 years now, in their old location in West Hill and now at their Ajax location. The food has always been consistently good and the service always friendly. Prices are great too, and when we dont want to venture out, we know that we can call up for takeout and get the same good value.

Please be more careful with your food preparations. I got food poisoning from eating your chicken chop suey and your fried rice is extremely greasy! It is really disturbing to I am not the only one who has gotten sick because of your food. You should also treat customers who have a genuine complaint with more respect and not blame the customer.

Some of the worse food ive ever had. There is no flavour, and its over priced. We ordered beef fried rice and it was dry and almost stale. The chilli chicken was sweet. And the hot n sour soup was just disgusting. I dont think theyve ever had real chilli chicken hot n sour soup or beef fried rice. Will never be going back

Considering we are in Ajax, this is good Chinese food. Its not the best in GTA, but satisfies the craving just fine. The wonton soup was very good, the eggrolls were crispy, and the sesame chicken was great. The chicken wings were just a little overcooked, but who goes to a Chinese restaurant for chicken wings anyway? Will definitely come back.

This has been my husbands favourite restaurant since he was a child. I can see why. We all loved our meal!

I always get confused when the menu has like 120+ items and I dont know which like their best... you ask the help of the staff and they point you in a completely different direction!!! Pickering residents: Dont bother ordering delivery. I waited for my food for over an hour - when I called to ask for an ETA I was told to keep waiting and was offered a paltry 11% discount. I cancelled, of course.
