190 Station St Unit 9, Ajax, ON L1S 1R9, Canada
Restaurant and Event Place with private Karaoke Room.
The food looks good and appetizing until you taste it. Their food is salty. Goto, Mami and sinigang are loaded with so much patis. Obviously they don’t taste the dishes that they’re cooking. So disappointed.
We came here for late night food and live entertainment. There's a cover charge of $10 per person for the live band performance. That is a bit pricey compared to other places in Scarborough. The space is too small, and it was very cramped seating. I was not able to face the stage where i was sitting. The lounge is on the upper floor and not handicap accessible. The pork sisig was disappointing. We usually order a party tray and it was really good. The sizzling plate in the restaurant had lots of fat and no meat. We even ordered 2 sisig and same thing all fat. The pork bbq was really good with a nice thick layer of sweet savory bbq sauce. There were some unedible pieces of fat, but overall, it was a good appetizer. The hot wings were crispy and juicy and nice, sweet chili dipping sauce to compliment them. The wings were not spicy at all. The menu is QR code scan using your mobile device. The server was taking orders using a tablet point of sale device. They are licensed to serve alcohol and you can order buckets of beer, wine, and cocktails. The live entertainment was pretty interactive, and they invited some people from my group to sing along karaoke style with the band. If live music and karaoke are your favorite way to enjoy a night out, then this place might be for you. For me, the tight seating arrangements and some subpar food offerings left something to be desired. The beer buckets are quite pricey and if you are looking for Red Horse, they do serve the tall boy cans here. Expect to pay a premium for the import beers. We drank Stella Artois. The total bill, including 5 x $10 cover charge came up to $280. It was very expensive considering the food we ate and 2 buckets of beer. If you are looking for a local Filipino karaoke bar, then this place might be a good alternative to the other ones in Scarborough. Give them a try.
Whenever I’m in the mood for authentic Filipino cuisine, Estacion Filipino Food in Ajax is my go-to spot. The moment I step inside, I’m welcomed by the comforting aromas and friendly atmosphere that make it feel like home. Their chicharon bulaklak is a must-try—crispy and bursting with flavor, it’s the perfect snack or side dish that never disappoints. The grilled liempo is another standout, offering tender and juicy pork that’s beautifully marinated and grilled to perfection. I also can’t get enough of their siomai, which is deliciously savory and makes for an excellent appetizer. The staff is always welcoming, ensuring that every visit is a delightful experience. If you’re in the area and craving tasty Filipino comfort food, Estacion is definitely worth a visit!
The worst spring roll I’ve ever had in my entire life. The spring rolls were a letdown. The wrapper was chewy and the filling tasted like it had been sitting out too long. It was dry, peppery, and filling was just a small amount. I actually thought that you could never go wrong with lumpia but this one was such a missed. My suggestion is why not fry small batches every hour so at least people can have it fresh. This is such a waste and they are expensive too. I’ve given this place multiple chances, but after this experience, I won’t be returning. Quality control needs some serious improvement.
The best taste and good servings…Tasty and worth the price. My friend recommends the halo-halo so I might try it next time… Tapsilog and torta are the best
I’ve been to this place a few times even when they were at the old location. I checked them out again when they moved to their new location. I want to love this place because their food is good but their portions are hit or miss. I ordered a bangsilog for breakfast and they gave a very good portion of fish. I raved about this place to my family members and gave a disappointing feedback when they told me the portions were so tiny for lunch. I wanted to see it for myself so I came back for lunch and ordered a two item combo and was also so disappointed with the portion. The person serving filled the container with broth and very little amount of meat/veggies from the pinakbet and bingoongan. I’d love to give this place a try again but for the price being charged, you’d expect a reasonable portion of food on your plate. If it wasn’t for the inconsistency with their portions, I’d give this place a 5 star rating.
Me and my family used to go here to eat or order food packages in it's early years at the previous location. Then the food quality /portions went down while the prices went up. This evening as I was going home from our rented storage space, I saw the new building and this Pinoy Resto was in it. I checked it out and the place was nice. But, I was having second thoughts on buying food from them. Maybe it is under new management and they have change. So I ordered Goto , it was $12.99 . It took them a while to make it. As I got home and try to eat it, it was the same crap they try to peddle before. There was no "Goto" in their Goto. It was mostly fried tokwa that look like goto, some shreds of lechon kawali and slices of hard boiled egg. They should rename this as just lugaw and reprice it half it's current price. Will not be recommending to friends and family. Good luck with your business. Deceitful Marketing. It is against the law to make materially false or misleading representations to promote a product, service or business interest. A representation is “material” if the general impression it conveys leads someone to take a particular course of action, like buying or using a product or service. I did this review about 3 months ago. I have not received any response from the owner.
Thank you for the delicious food. The staff are accommodating and kind. We watched a live band, it's fun and Pinas feels. We ordered kamayan boodle fight it was delicious the ambiance is nice and comfortable while eating.
Food is delicious, however the portion is small for the price they charge.
Yummy food, friendly staff. Great bands!
Pork porridge here is so good! Close to authentic rice porridge back home. Tamarind porridge
Good band. Food is hit and miss. Kid-friendliness: Not for kids Food : 3/5 |
My family entered the place and received no help from the 4 staff members present. Quite Literally waited and stood at the cash register waiting for service. No communication and proceeded to ignore us.
Their new location is beautiful, the size of the area upstairs is even my private room that can do vedioke/karaoke 15 person capacity. Their food is still delicious.
Ordered via uber eats, their Goto is EXCELLENT!
Amazing food, clean and very MASARAP! Staff are awesome and very polite! Will definitely recommend this place to everyone!!
Food is great but some of the service crew is rude!
Very good Homemade quality food all the time. Food
This was my first time trying Filipino food. I must say this place was really good. Staff was very friendly, explained everything to me. Will recommend.
With a new location and a great service, atmosphere and the food is great.
God Bless you and your business and wish you nothing but success....however, we will not be returning here for food purchase. We ordered a small pancit and ulam party tray. They were quite overpriced and small portioned. Im saying this as weve ordered similar dishes from other filipino places and paid less and got more food. This was our first time ordering as we wanted to try it out...but sadly it will be the last. Good luck to you all.
Yummy Filipino foods and halo halo was delicious
Halo halo was good although expensive
Great customer service, combos are reasonably priced and theres ample parking in the back
Estacion has the best authentic kapampangan dishes. We were served with delicious and generous portions of our orders. Environment is clean and excellent. Servers were friendly and attentive. The owner/chef came to our table and made sure that we are enjoying the food and service. Highly recommend to give them a try for delicious kapampangan cuisine.
The food is absolutely overpriced!! You could get much more & good food with the same price from other places. In addition, there is no menu for you to see the prices. Not recommended at all!
Food delish, authentic. Love the pork bbq skewer.
Very friendly to interact with. Food looks delicious and love the atmosphere
Great food, great friendly service. Parking: Parking is located behind the front door entrance. Food : 5/5 |
Love the food and service will recommend and definitely will come back! Check my vlog for full review @sheryltv in youtube https://youtu.be/I6DLwk5yEMQ?si=ZPipulNwR7LW97V7
This place is expensive for the portion they serve. The food tastes decent but I wouldnt recommend this place at all
I bought a dinuguan and when I get home of course I m hungry I get the rice my own and when I get the spoon for dinuguan when I taste it and try OMG!!!! Napakaalat talaga and I m not happy at saka sobrang mahal pa naman, I call them and complain and I told them try eat dinuguan now and it s very salty and she s agree with me. I m not coming back there anymore. I m very disappointed.
Estacion used to be our go to buy lunch. Now, its our very last option. The food portion is so small and its overpriced. Its like they dont want to feed people. Also, watch out and calculate because they overcharged. They overcharged us by $15 and when we brought it up they recalculated and realized. Then it happened person after us. Munggo was my favourite thing to order here. Now, its watered down with repurposed meat. It looks like they used the unsold liempo or lechon kawali.
The restaurant used to be excellent, but unfortunately, it has become run down over time. Ive noticed that the surroundings are getting dirtier, and they seem to neglect cleaning them. Additionally, they tend to overcharge customers, and the portions are too small for the price. Its become quite expensive, and to make matters worse, they also seem disorganized, causing customers to wait in long lines. I hope they can improve their quality and service soon.
Good not great longanisa and a little pricey at $1.50 each but they are big and plump to their credit. The sweet chili sauce they give with the lumpia is excellent - not sure if it is homemade but its unlike any Ive ever had at other places. Great texture with a nice balance of sweet, sour, and spicy. The biggest letdown was the suman which tasted like it was frozen and then defrosted. To make it worse, it was not suman at all. It felt like an amateur cook made this. It wasnt even properly wrapped. It was our mistake to buy this as we could already tell something was wrong. Parking: Strip style parking. Limited and very tight spots.
I was hoping for a great breakfast, what I got was terrible. Rice, two slimey eggs, two (small) longanisa, and two slices of tomato. Very poorly done, not worth paying for, and a disappointment.
It s like a hidden shack in Ajax. The food is okay, it s not too salty and not too bland at the same time, just about in the middle. I usually get a bbq stick for $3 and $0.65 lumpia (spring rolls) on the side of what I usually order. I like their choice of food as well.
A simple place with a space to dine in and buy some Filipino groceries.. Enjoyed the food with friends.
Food is fantastic Ive never been there but eaten take out and it was FREAKIN AWESOME
Thank you for a great boodle fight to go! All requests for allergies were followed and the food was very tasty. Everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly!
I called multiple times during their business hours and they were not picking up their phone calls. Terrible!
Food is delicious and the staff are very friendly
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetables options Kid-friendliness: Kids can dine in Food : 4/5 |
So I ordered large dinuguan, 4 bbq and crispy pata.. and they overcharge me with everything.. other filipino restaurant does not charge 25 for a large dinuguan.. this place is way too overprice, this is the 2nd time i had this experience with them.. i will not recommend this place to anybody. If you wanted filipino food, try tagpuan. They are more reasonable than this place. I didnt even order a combo and they charge over the top.. never again.. i definitely learnt my lesson on this place!!
My kiddos love their spring roll. For those who love Filipino food, come and visit the place.
OMG you have to eat here, go for the combo lunch and sit down and watch filipino idol on the big screen. The large veg lumpia is the best.
Home run kitchen
Few options but good home made quality. We are returning customers for year
I went here for the first time and wow this is sad those pictures posted looks nothing like it in person. I bought halo halo and it s frozen! That is not real halo halo! At all it has no ube ice cream. It s so different I don t feel this place not going back again!
Not my style
The catering here is delicious and the presentation was nice. Not too salty either which is the way I like it.
Stopped here for lunch and had a really tasty meal for a good price.
Great tasting Filipino food. We eat here every Sunday.
Very nice and friendly staff. Food is good and has reasonable price. Has parking in front of store
Great customer service plus good tasting food!
Delicious Beef Calderrta...
Food is good. Portions are way too small Po Salamat
I ordered a party tray from this location and called them 3 times about it (a week before, the day before, and the day of pick-up). When I arrive to pick up my 1 party tray order, they said that they forgot it. I was so disappointed and I left. I would have understood it if its a complicated order, but it wasnt.
One of the best go to place for Filipino food take out. Their tokwat baboy and special suka is one of my favorites. My daughter is fond of their pork sinigang.
Yummy food
First time there... so much selection of foods, but smelling the cooked food made me so hungry! It was a little expensive, but the quality of products is as good as any other store and I will return because I have to sample some more goodies!
Friendly staff
This place is good if you need immediate filipino food at a remote place. The only downside is that the items are a bit pricey Other than that youll be glad for a store of that kind.
Great eggrolls
Im usually all about the pork sisig but the Bangus(milkfish) sisig was delicious. Definitely reorder that again.
Great selection and tasty, close to moms cooking. Not overly salty like other places, just right. Estacion always keeps my belly full and my cravings satisfied.
Im so excited I dont have to go all the way to Toronto to get our food!!
I always buy their pansit. It taste so good.
best filipino food store in ajax :)
Loved the food options and hybrid restaurant grocery lay out
Went there with my daughter to buy ube extract, ended up buying more stuff. The ladies are friendly. The store is a mini Philippines, smell of food is great!
Excellent food. We try to get Halo Halo a couple times in the summer from here.
Delicious and tasty staff is very pleasant
Good food; excellent service!
Delicious home-cooked Filipino foods. They also have mini grocery for your favorite Filipino goods.
First time I bought lunch to this restaurant. Got several items - lunch 2 items with rice (noted the portion is smaller for the price you pay). Drove home and was looking forward to enjoy my meals , but when I opened it the rice doesnt look good, color is not white, textured too soft and sticky and have the smell or in the verge of being panis. As a courtesy i called them to let them know, but instead of apologies I was told I am mistaken. Reason given - they gave me tira or left over from cooker (seriously) Filipinos know how to make rice so if one called you to let you know this is the case you better believe it. 2 people from my house can tell you its bad rice. Guess this is the last time Im getting my food from them. Im happy to pay for my food as long as its consumable.
Im not sure if they switched chefs, but I ordered the same dishes the 1st time I visited last month and the taste & quality werent the same this time around. Plus the rice had gone bad .
Loved their store-baked empanadas
I ve come here a handful of times and always enjoy the food and especially the service! The ladies here are ALWAYS so nice and kind which is refreshing to experience especially coming from Toronto where my experience has been consistently with such rude service at various Filipino restaurants in Little Manila area. I am very aware that with the situation of Covid and the lesser amount of people wanting to eat out that restaurants have to charge accordingly in order to even break even. However the last time I went I was very surprised to find that many items had what seemed like a 30-40% increase including the hot food items. I want to be able to support local restaurants like this but it becomes hard to justify the price when you re spending 5.99 for a small portion of Caldereta that does not come with rice. I may come here once in a blue moon but sadly cannot come as frequent as I was before. Wishing everyone well during these tough times!
I like their food but I think the prices are getting expensive. Last time I got one large order of beef caldareta and it cost me $15. The price on the board said $11.99 for a large.
It is a filipino restaurant and fast food, good food and service, nice people highly recommended.
Clean Environment.Service was Ok
I have been looking for a Filipino restaurant in the Durham region. And I ve finally found one! Great service! LOVE the food. Reminds me of home!
Delicious food
Satisfaction
The closest place Ive found to get Filipino cultured grocery since moving to Pickering from north York. They have a limited selection of grocery, but it is good. I think they are more of an a la carte restaurant than a grocery. I find most of the things I want and need. They have been accommodating trying to find a specific branded flavour of ice cream I was interested in purchasing.
Had their breakfast combi (longsilog) for the first time and even after asking for a sunny side up egg, they overcooked it and gave me 2 medium pieces of longganisa. It just wasn t worth the price. Would rather drive somewhere else for a brunch, with more choices, better portions and price.
If you are craving for authentic Kapampangan dishes, this is the right place. They have Filipino groceries as well. The most important part, staff are friendly and have good customer service. There are enough space for parking (not too many but just right). Washroom is available.
Portions are small.
I love Titas food !!! Very delicious
Good food and people!
Best pork BBQ
Authentic Filipino foods.
This place is great and they are so much nicer than other store Ive been through.
Very basic place. Bit the food is great. Nice selection. Fish meat. Delicacies. Halo Halo
Not happy with Estacion Ajax. I ordered 15 chicken skewers and received some that had a mix of pork and chicken. Not cool as not eating pork is a religious choice. Charged $3/ chicken stick. Called them to confront them of this and they denied completely. Bad business practices. I would not reccomend this restaurant at all. Not sure how you could mix up pork and chicken. They tried to pull a fast one. Never going back again.
The food is great and the people who works here are great too. Lots of food to choose from, and desserts and well. Halo Halo is also very delicious. I will surely recommend this store.
Finally found a filipino spot in Durham! Food is amazing. Taste very authentic! I personally find the taste quality is better than Remily s, Scarborough and Brown Sugar, Etobicoke. The goat caldereta was delicious, first time I had it with goat. Staff is friendly. Will definitely be returning!
Feels like home away from home. Good thing theyre here. They have delicious ulam and merienda (Im drooling again) plus they have sampaloc candy and other chicha.
Come here for lunch. Its almost as good as my moms cooking!
This Filipino food outlet sells a lot of readymade food. You can order to take out or eat in. They also sell dried preservative food. For your convenience, they accept cash, debit & credit cards.
Great Sisig... tastes like the one from Trellis in Teachers Village back in Manila
I discovered this place about 6 months ago. Initially I was happy to see a pinoy resto took the old Haciendas place. The food was great and portions were reasonable. You can even ask for some sabaw if they have one on the tray. But recently the portion became half of what it use to be. They wont even give you any sabaw if you ask for it. Last time I was there, server gave me very small portions. I barely ate half of my rice because I ran out of ulam. Before that I ask for some sabaw and the server was pissed off, and told me, they dont have any yet. It was right in front of her and me. For about $10 , spend your money some place else where you can get full, under that cost. Id rather use that money to buy ingredients and have my mom cook it. The food quality also started to fluctuate, hit or miss. There are some chinese resto near it and burger places where you can get your moneys worth. I am not taking my family back here again. Hi-way robbery .. . . . . .
