Bombay Frankies is a lively, enthusiastically Indian-inspired restaurant brand built around our unique adaptation of one of India's most famous street food called a Frankie which is made on Indian style Flatbread called Paratha.
Visiting from out of town. Stopped here on a whim. The gentleman working behind the counter was very pleasant and helpful. The food was excellent. I told my wife if we had a Bombay Frankie’s in Halifax I’d eat there all the time. Definitely worth trying. You won’t be disappointed.
Had a wonderful experience here! For starters, lots of space inside with a great ambiance and nice lighting. Krunal and the staff were fantastic and welcoming! The food was incredible. It was a more modern take on Indian food, a fusion with western culture you can say. It was fresh and packed flavours, and was greasy or oily. Halal friendly, with vegetarian options as well! Recommend their frankies and rice bowls for sure.
First time trying it and now I have found my newest favourite spot ! Wrap made fresh on the spot while I waited, when I say wrap I mean the actual wrap was not a bagged one but freshly made on the stove top than packed with extra goodness! You can’t find that kind of fresh !
Nobody leaves Toronto without having Indian food! A delicious and quick way of having it is dropping by at Bombay Frankies to enjoy its various wraps. Spiced mildly and wrapped in soft naan, the chicken masala I had for lunch together with chickpea and lentil salad is truly something filling and satisfying!
First time visit for this brand and location. Service was very good with explanation of menu and staff very courteous. The frankie itself was fresh however the filling was nothing to write home about. Taste was good, spicey at request. May be it would be too spicey for most ppl...product could be improved somewhat and so certainly deserves a trip to explore a new flavour
I tried the recommended chicken vindaloo wrap, spice was good but I felt the chicken was kind of dry and not fresh. I also wasn't a fan of the kettle chips and dip and would much rather preferred fries, which they didn't have. I would recommend the owner to add masala fries to their menu as I think it would be a much bigger hit. In terms, of price I did feel like $16 is quite steep for a wrap, chips, and a drink. Especially when you get popeyes and AW next door
The food is fresh and taste is great. The service is amazing they pay attention to detail. The restaurant is clean bright and well laid out. I tried paneer roll. It's not spicy, but it says spicy. Filling was not well seasoned, and more tastes like curry. Gram masala was overpower. Rotie was nice and fresh.
The hype is real Bombay Frankie has opened their first location in Durham. Loved their food so much. You should definitely try their Chicken vindaloo frankie and MF chicken frankie. Nice ambiance and friendly staff. Price is also reasonable. Must visit.
Comfort food at its best. Tried the Achari aloo and tandoori chicken Frankie with Vada Pav - very flavourful, must try!
Really great staff that take pride in the restaurant, and food. The passion shines through in the quality of every dish. Definitely worth going out of your way for
Two meals were ordered. The tikka masala and the masala bowls with rice. Both were great with the salad that had a yogurt drizzle. Highly recommend. The staff is also helpful with choices. Parking: Parking located in front of the restaurant.
Great food!! Excellent service!
Really tasty food and good service
Food was super flavourful!!!!! Service was Extremely friendly and helpful. Will def. Come again.
The food here is clean and delicious, the service is great. Glad I stopped in here
The vindaloo was so good. Must try!!
delicious food, great atmosphere. very friendly staff and awesome prices. must try
It was delicious, my kids loved the atmosphere. I thought it was a perfect balance of western amd Bombay culture. Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options
Excellent Food! Must try Worth the price Amazing service by krunal and the entire team. All the best for their new venture Food : 5/5 |
Great food
Krunal and karan both are nice and delivering very good services.
Quality food at affordable prices. Great service by krunal who was very responsive and welcoming.
Pharata was very slim and crispy, not ideal for a pharata. Chicken had a mixer of favours when I had asked for Tikka.
There nothing more refreshing than a warm welcome into a new place. That was my first experience I encountered when I first walked in. I heard a loud hi and welcome from one of the staff. I was then seated with my son and was offered a couple of favorites as it was out first time. After a short wait the food was freshly prepared and delivered right to out table. Ive had many wraps but this one had me taking a seat back to explore the array of flavors that went on surfing in my mouth. By far one of if not the best wrap Ive had with paratha. Perfectly proportionate, perfectly seasoned, perfectly served. Happy truth and reconciliation. Vegetarian options: Very well seasoned and marinated with natural herbs and spices that leaves your mouth in wow.
Fabulous food! Super friendly staff! I had the Tandoori Frankie with and Somos and it was sooooooooooo good! You can truly taste the freshness of the ingredients. Food
Tried this place tonight and was amazed at the outstanding welcome and customer service Alex and his team provided. The food was so tasty, priced right, the restaurant is clean and nice to sit in and dine. Will make this a regular spot.
The food is good not that Indian style original Frankie taste but yes worth the money.
This place is consistently delicious, not a typical greasy fast food joint. The food is delicious and flavorful every time. The customer service is wonderful as you can tell they want you to have a good experience
The food and the ambiance is great.
Quality food with awesome service. Mandhan took time and went through explaining different options and helped us decide food for our kid and she loved it!! Will definitely be back for sure
Good place Worth to try..
Great staff and service. Love the veg options! This has become a go-to spot when Im in the area.
Really delicious paneer frankie, samosa chaat and chicken tikka masala frankie! And the service is amazing, it feel like being in a restaurant with food that is served to you really fast. Great experience, delicious flavours! Wheelchair accessibility: They have auto door switch, and sidewalk has ramp for getting up to store.
Food was great! But promo said buy one get one free. I bought 4 and received 4 at full price.. I was told that I ordered wrong.
Great format of Indian food; first time I ve ever had anything like this and it s great. Awesome flavours. Had the chicken vindaloo wrap and it was really good. Will come back
Food is reasonably priced. Its a quick service restaurant so didnt expect much of a service but was surprised to see the gentleman bring the food to the table and check on us after to see if everything is okay. Impressed with the service. Vegetarian options: Plenty of options
I enjoyed every dish I purchased from here
The wraps are delicious! We love the chicken tikka wrap. It s always so juicy and flavourful, and the paratha tastes so fresh and homemade. My husband and I tried this place as a recommendation from friends and now we always order from here. I hope they keep the buy one get one free wrap promotion!
I recently visited Bombay Frankies and had an amazing experience! The paneer tikka frankie was absolutely delicious, with just the right amount of spice. The maharaja frankie was also a hit, packed with rich flavors that made every bite enjoyable. We also tried the pakora chat, which was crispy and had a perfect balance of tangy and spicy. The place had a warm and welcoming vibe, and the staff were really friendly and attentive. If you re looking for some tasty Indian street food, I highly recommend checking out Bombay Frankies.
Good, quick, tasty well worth the price!
The butter chicken was really heavily tomato tasting, was not authentic butter chicken at all, it seemed like they skimped out on the ingredients! Honestly the food is very bland, you are better off with an actual Indian place
Love it here and can t stop ordering !
They have amazing options, we tried their paneer frankies and chai, were so delicious. Must try. They also have Canadian and Indian spice level which is the best. Also the staff is so nice and friendly.
Nice food with very superb atmosphere and service
Was hungry and went to plaza in Ajax and found this place and went inside they have plenty of options to eat but could not try all but had achari potato roll, the roll was so good never had that kind of fresh flavour, and spicy. That all I can put into words.
Hi it was my first time Im sorry to say that but the was very very bad it was not like a wrap the smell was very bad and the test was very bad my 13$ was garbaged, please pay attention to your test thank you
Had Frankie there twice. Food is good and fresh.
Nice atmosphere inside; very clean & colourful. Staff are attentive & friendly. The food was good but not as flavourful as youd expect from a well-known celebrity chef like V.Vig. The samosa chaat was very average. Royal Paan or Panchvati makes it better at a lower price. Prices are 20-25% too high. Drop the pricing & youll get more repeat customers. Best of luck with your restaurant!
The food was good. Nicely packed.
Lovely meal! From first entry to just sitting and eating, Krish the manager was lovely and attentive. He knew the menu thoroughly and helped guide us to what we wanted and was very accommodating. Will definitely come back! Thank you.
We went to Bombay Frankies for the first time, excited to try their wraps. Karan s customer service was exceptional, he greeted us with a smile. Suggested the menu and the service was even better. Overall, the experience was 9/10!
Excellent food, helpful staff, quick service!
Tried the veg Frankie, samosa, paratha and cardamom tea. Great taste and amazing service. Highly recommend
Stopped in for some lunch, and so glad I did! The staff were very friendly, the gentleman at the counter helped me with deciding what to order (one of the paneer bowls and pakoras ), and made some great recommendations. The food was quick to come out, and he even brought it over to the table I was sitting at even though I had it to go. The pakoras were hot and fresh. The bowl was amazing, so full of flavour, and the perfect spice level (I got it medium with extra yogurt). I will definitely be back!!
Today was my first time trying this restaurant, I was so pleased with the food and service from the employee named Kabir. He helped me with the menu and created a great experience for me. I highly recommend the chicken tikka masala as a bowl. The chicken is soft, the pickled onions and sauces are sooooo good, just the right amount of spice for my taste. Thank you Kabir!!
If someone is looking for an authentic Indian food, see no where further. It s a yum. Super fresh and spicy and served hot. Also the owner is too kind and humble. Definitely recommended. And yes the best tea here.
I tried the chicken tikka wrap and it was so good! The young man did such a great job explaining the menu as it was my first time there. I will definitely go back again and take my friends as well! Thank you!
Hands down the best Indian street food ever. Everything was perfect to the finest detail from quality of food to exceptional customer service. Kabir was an awesome host his recommendations were on point. Definitely gonna be coming here every now and then.
I got the butter chicken bowl. I was sadly disappointed since the curry was lacking depth of flavour. To add to this they dont give you enough gravy in the bowl option so I had a bunch of flavourless rice left. The salad that it comes with was ok but would have been better made into a raita. I ordered a paratha on the side but this is not what I got, they gave me a roti instead. Again, not what I was expecting. I am honestly surprised with the overall google star rating of 4.6. They are not catering to the South Asian market/palate so that could be why. Its a 3 star at a mediocre best. The staff are very friendly and the food was ready relatively quickly.
Great food! Excellent customer service!
Well ... I was so disappointed. I was so looking forward to finally coming to Bombay Frankies... But sadly it was a miss. The flavor was more or less there but there was a lot wrong with the product. Where was the crispy in the crispy chicken... I actually thought I was eating a cube of potato at one point, and it turned out to be the chicken. Thesalad of cucumber, tomato etc was so mushed into the wrap, the flavours ended up not distinct nor fresh tasting. The chicken seemed like chicken nuggets... pre frozen, definitely not house-made. Very disappointing. The pakoras again were tasty but dry. You need the sauce... which the mango one was not good. Sadly, I wouldnt go again. Live and learn. The service however was exceptional. Very friendly and good sense of humour.
Good place to have a quick bite. Taste: 9/10 Cleanliness: 9/10 Overall I would recommend you check this place out, also staff is excellent here. They are trained well and i would say 11/10 on customer service.
I recently had the Paneer Frankie at Bombay Frankies, and it was an absolute delight! The portion size was generous, and the service was prompt and friendly. Whether youre a vegetarian or simply a lover of great Indian street food, I highly recommend trying the Paneer Frankie at Bombay Frankies.
Ordered a samosa chaat for takeout and it was stale, the samosas were not cooked properly and wouldn t break for eating. Never going back to this place, it seems like they serve left over/old food.
The food is fantastic! A real taste of Bombay. Enjoyed the Samosa chaat with hot cardamon tea and a mango kulfi. Awesome place to eat!!!
Great service. Food is good too. It s more of Indian flavours in western style. So of-course not much oily, spicy and fried. Definitely visit if you are looking light food.
Great taste, very close to what you can expect if you grew up in Mumbai, service was very good too.
The customer service for this place is AMAZING. We have been ordering food from them recently and not only does the food taste great and super fresh, they go the extra mile to call and confirm when orders have been sent. Highly recommend this spot!
I have been brought up in Bombay and I can definitely say this is not a Bombay Frankie. This is some kind of a fusion with the taste not even close to Bombay s Frankie. Had this craving for Bombay Frankie and tried this out. But to my disappointment, it was so bad and I would never recommend this to anyone.
I had an outstanding experience largely due to the incredibly humble individual - Ankit who took our order. The food was okay-ish neither too good not too bad but the customer service was excellent. What stood out was how they personally came to our table, not only to ensure everything was to our satisfaction but also to ask for feedback on every item we ordered. Its rare to see such dedication to customer satisfaction.
Stopped in to try the street food and was disappointed with the vindaloo Frankie, I was advised it was supposed to be spicy, it was not. The guy that helped me order was great very friendly but the spices and overall balance didn t work, ordered in after this experience to have my wife try them and it was wayyy too salty. 3
Vegetarian options: The flavour was spot on. Delicious! Amazing customer service too. Will be back! Food : 5/5 |
I specially love Bombay style frankies . Recently visited this Bombay Frankies in Ajax and tried their aloo frankie and paneer frankie. Both were mind blowing. I also tried their vadapav and samosa. They also have Indian chai
This was referred to me by a Canadian friend. Honestly I did not have much hopes from this. But the frankies were really tasty. We ordered 3 different varieties and each of them were great. Ankit, who is the owner of the location is an amazing host. Be careful that if you order Indian spice level it can be quite hot for some people. They can adjust the spice level as per your taste.
Got the chicken tikka masala frankie. The wrap was bursting in flavour, good portions of meat! They even were able to customize spice for me. Overall delicious and excellent customer service!
Tried the chicken vindaloo frankie and it was excellent! The paneer one could have been better. In so many years though, this is the closest the Frankies have been to the real thing! Thankfully these folks don t use mayo and other sauces in them! Cool idea to bring to life!
Thought I d stop by and try the butter chicken bowl, finally.. DELICIOUS !! Nice place, I enjoyed how quiet it was after lunch on a weekday !! ( Though it is very busy at lunchtime !! ) Cardamom tea was fabulous !! I m very glad my Dr is nearby so I can book during the workday !!
Great food. Plenty of vegetarian options available. Manager Krish is helpful in explaining all the available options
Ordered the tikka masala rice bowl with paratha and its really amazing. The portion is really big and worth the money in my opinion. The men at the counter were really helpful walking me through the menu because it was my first time ordering here
Decent food and great staff. Good concept.
Very good use of spice, veggies, and meat combination with authentic feeling. 10/10 would recommend
Bombay Frankies is a hidden gem! The flavors in their dishes are absolutely incredible. I cant get enough of their spicy chicken frankie its a burst of deliciousness in every bite. Highly recommend!
Bombay Frankies never disappoints! Whether youre craving something spicy or mild, they have something for everyone. Their variety of frankies is impressive, and each one is packed with flavor. You wont regret dining here!
A little spicy but the food was great and so was the service! Generous portion sizes and price was great as well
Absolutely divine! The Butter Paneer Masala Frankie at Bombay Frankies is a must-try for anyone craving authentic Indian flavours. Each bite is a burst of perfection, and the service given by the staff is extra-ordinary. Highly recommended!
excellent food, excellent service! 10/10 would come back
Great food and lovely staff
Good vibes . Legit Frankie s. W!
Manthan did a very fine job in patiently serving me on my first time here. The food was great, very authentic tasting, good presentation, and flavorful. I will be eating here again! Just a side note, it was nice that they didnt have the music playing too loud. Thanks for that.
Love it, will definitely be back over and over again
great place and friendly workers!! the food is always amazing and the atmosphere is very nice.
I love this place, me and my friend go here all the time and its always amazing food and service Vegetarian options: They have a lot of vegetarian meals and they are all very good :)
Foods pretty good. Service is top notch. Cant complain
Great Paneer Frankie
delicious meal for a reasonable price, 5 stars customer service!
The Food is amazing, Do check them out!!
The food was great
Frankies are really good. Tried out the maharaja paneer and the butter paneer Frankie. Worth a visit
Best food
Frankies are super tasty
I tried the butter chicken bowl and it was exactly the late night meal I needed. The chicken tasted fresh and flavourful and the rice was cooked perfectly. The veggies also tasted very fresh and well seasoned. I got really good and quick service even though it was a little busy at the time. The guys working there were in a really good mood and it was just a really wholesome interaction. I m definitely stopping by when I m in the area again.
I visited place just recently and food made me go crazy. Service was good, kabir did nice job out there. Keep it up.
Our first visit to Bombay Frankie is an overall a pleasant experience. Kabir & Ankit are very helpful & the food was great. The workers were extremely attentive, attended carefully to our dietary restrictions/needs, and very great with selections. The potato Frankie was our favourite! Vegetarian options: They have plenty of vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: My in-laws are not eating Onion & Garlic. Kabir makes sure we order the right thing for them.
I was very excited when I saw this board first time as I used love Frankies in Mumbai. Sadly the taste was not even remotely like that, the roti was too thik and tasted like a premade burrito tortilla. Chai literally tasted like a premix powdered chai that you get at retail stores. Lastly the samosa they gave was actually an a baked samosa not fried and mostly likely a frozen samosa. Even though you can say baked is good for health but the taste was nowhere near a regular samosa. I think they seriously need to work on their food if they want to go long run. Calling it chef inspired makes me doubt chef s credentials too. Only redeeming point was courteous staff.
I just popped-in to pick-up lunch today. This was my first time trying Bombay Frankies. O.M.G. sooooo yummy! Ordered the Crispy Butter Chicken bowl - its to die for! The Kachumber salad alone is incredible!! All the flavours are there. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend this place! Definitely coming back soon. New FAV!!!
Tried the kaati roll and the samosa chat. Food is good but I expected better taste, nothing close to the street food I ve had back home. The place is clean and well maintained. You will enjoy the food. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options Parking: Located in a huge plaza with plenty of parking spots
The food wasn t good at all. The meat in wraps was uncooked and it wasn t anything special in terms of taste.
This is my first time here and I am very satisfied. The food is delicious and you receive a large portion that leaves you filled and happy. The spices are on point! There are many options and I chose the crispy butter chicken bowl and I will be coming back for more. The service is spectacular and very friendly. Come try out this place, you will love it !
Great food and great staff. Will definitely be going back again.
Great service! Nice employees and amazing building! 10/10 coming again
Must try! Parking: You may have to walk more than 50 m during busy times but it will be worth it Food : 5/5 |
OMG Finally an Indian restaurant with true flavours. Most Indian restaurants mellow down their flavours to accommodate milder palate. This place is awesssooommmeee!!!
Its OK, was looking forward to eating the more often, but its always a wait to make the food and seems pricy for a wrap. Flavor is good.
Come on people, give them a try Good people, good food. What else do you need. Food : 5/5
A wonderful Indian street food establishment. The staff are great and take good care of you. The food is amazing.
Wow!!! The food is fantastic! A real taste of Bombay. Enjoyed the chicken vindaloo with hot cardamon tea and on another occasion had the masala chicken with mango kulfi. Awesome place to eat for 2 under $30. Parking: Ample plaza parking.
Great food! Ordered the Frankie paneer and butter chicken bowl. Both were delicious and will ask for extra butter chicken suave next time!
Fantastic and quick food. The wraps are easy to eat, totally filling, they feel wholesome, and the flavours are awesome. Little disappointing they don t brew their own chai, but the food is what you re here for. It s a very typical robotic, fast food, interior, but the staff are insanely friendly. Definitely recommend trying.
Firstly, I love Indian food so I was really hoping this modern take or street style take would be just as delicious, and I have to say, it did not disappoint! I had never heard of a Frankie before but they re delicious & a convenient way to eat Indian on the go! Like a burrito, but Indian style and the wrap is a paratha bread. Flavours are fresh, location is new and modern, and customer service is GREAT! Very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff. This alone will keep me coming back. My only feedback: kid friendly options! ie: zero spice level. Great job! Have already been back :)
Customer service and food is exceptional! Have been waiting for Chef Vijs legendary taste in Ontario for a long time. Great portion, great taste, very attentive to any requests of the customer. Ill support your restsursnt for life! Perfect snacks and outstanding taste. Thank you Team Bombay Frankies and Chef Vij! Would strongly recommend all folks to visit!
Me and my friends were going out for lunch and Bombay Frankie s invited us in! The service was amazing and everyone there was so nice. The food was awesome! Will definitely be coming back!
I had an amazing time! My friends and I were invited in during a training day, the service was amazing, the food was terrific & it was an overall really great experience. Definitely recommend!
Came here their grand opening day. Both the masala and vindaloo frankies were great! The spice level was perfect, enjoyable but not too overpowering! Also, the staffs were very friendly and welcoming =) Will definitely be back!
We stopped in the plaza at Harwood and decided to try something new. The first thing my girlfriend said when the food came was woah that dough looks real. Although its fast food everything was delicious, tasted fresh and wasnt greasy. We had the Masala chicken Frankie and chick pea and lentil salad. I did not find the chicken too spicy however it was hot enough that if you do not like spice I would order the butter chicken. It was pleasant surprise and a great addition to the area. We got great service and the staff were very friendly
I ordered Bombay Frankie s today on Uber eats I think this is the first day of it being opened This may have resulted in food that was more carefully prepared than will be as time goes on but god I hope not The masala chips and chutney were reminiscent of something served at a roadside dhaba and were perfect The masala chicken Frankie was so well prepared. The prantha was soft and perfect texture and flavor. The chicken was just the right amount of spice and not over seasoned which some Indian restaurants tend to do The thums up to wash it down brought back good memories I will be looking forward to exploring the menu further but I am so happy this exists in Durham Well done
Tested a few frankies (also been in Newmarket Bombay Frankies) excellent food and service, steal of a deal with this price. Also, very consistent quality when comparing to Newmarket. Such a great brand.
I usually leave with a little bit better understanding of idian cuisine when i go to a idian restaurant as i am not of idian decent but not really sure what happened this time i left confused rushed and still hungry maybe i just got star struck (high expectations) from the person who is promoting the restaurant i will wait till next year once they iron out the wrinkles to try again..all the best and good luck.
We tried paneer and chicken Frankie on the opening day, and they tasted really good.. The the staff is very friendly and the service is amazing
About all you can ask for from a fast (casual) food restaurant: Food was very flavorful (every single item in our two bowls felt properly seasoned), space was clean and bright, and the staff was very friendly. Cant wait to try more! Vegetarian options: Great options for vegetarians. Beans packed more flavour than we expected too.
Super good! Must try!! Me and my friends went for their training day and the food was so good!
had the Butter Chicken bowl; it wasnt that great. Not enough sauce, not much chicken, lots of rice
Excellent customer service. Took time to explain their full menu.
The Crispy Butter Chicken Bowl was incredible. Loved how the sauce soaked into the chicken. It was super flavourful. Also, they added a Kachumber Salad and Pickled Red Onions to the bowl, which was unique and was a great touch to amp up the flavour even more. Lastly it was $12.49. Don t know any other place you can get a complete meal for that price. Well done and can t wait to return.
So tasty
My family loves this restaurant. The food is always so delicious and not overpowering or too spicy. Even my picky teenager who usually isnt too adventurous loves the food here. The restaurant is spotless and you can tell how much pride is taken into making sure every customer is very well taken care of and happy. The staff are always smiling and happy to explain all the different options available. Hopefully they open one closer to me so I dont have to travel so far. But definitely worth the drive!
Amazing food, service and overall experience. Would 100% recommend if you are in the area and hungry!
I ll be honest, this is not the type of food that I normally eat, or actually the type of food that WE normally eat, meaning there s just lots of spices, and not sure about your kids, but mine are very picky. Saying that, I was really skeptical to give this place a shot, but my kids went to the plaza with my wife earlier and saw this restaurant and convinced me to try it out. We came into this place, and to be completely transparent, I was ready to order the rice and/or salad for my girls as I thought everything would be so spicy. I spoke to the person at the cash, and took a chance with his recommendations based on what we normally eat, and WOW! I have to tell you this guy was bang on! Not only did he recommend the right items for my girls, which I will say walked back over to the cash after they finished their dinner and ordered more samosas, but I told him what I was looking for, and my frankies were lit! The food came quick, it was super tasty, and so, so, SO flavourful. Now we are in for life! Really appreciate you guys coming to our hood, we have a new place to enjoy family time a couple times a month. Kid-friendliness: This place is meant for kids and families, I was blown away by how receptive they were to my kids, how they listened to their request, and just made them feel really comfortable. Proper family place!
My family and I had a wonderful time at Bombay Frankies. The food was delicious, and we were told that a celebrity chef designed the menu, which explained the unique taste and atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit; youll find it hard to resist returning.
The food and service were amazing! The Vindaloo Kerala chicken and BF masala chicken frankie tasted great! They both were really flavourful and stuffed well. Loved the roti (wrap of the frankie). You can also choose to get any of the Frankies in a bowl instead (without the roti/wrap). Vegetarian options: Variof vegetarian Frankies available. As will as samosa and pakoras
Just got to know from my friends open new place for Frankie. We ordered 2 different Frankies one was pulled pork and 2nd one paneer achare . Both Frankies taste was really good and Frankie rotie so good. Differently go back Food
I went to Bombay Frankies with my daughter and she and I loved it! There were lots of options for the both of us! Can t wait to go back. Would definitely recommend to anyone! Kid-friendliness: Toddler loved the colours and the butter chicken Frankie
Super delicious! What a great option for a quick meal. Just loved the variety on the menu. The paneer Frankie is so good, and I also love the Vindaloo chicken. Vegetarian options: Good variety for vegetarians
This has been the best Mumbai frankie ever in GTA, the presentation was superb, frankie base cooked to perfection. Why go to Mumbai when you have this restaurant at your doorstep. Thank you for a wonderful lunch and excellent hospitality - we will be coming back to try the most favorite Achari Paneer frankie. :) P.S : The masala chai is a must here with Frankies!!!
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Ajax. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing the frankies were melt in the mouth. Absolutely the best Frankie we had in Canada. Highly recommend!
The restaurant is new and clean. The customer service is amazingly good. All staff were equally friendly, informative and professional. Even with my meal being takeout, they still went out of their way to hand deliver it to me. The Frankies were solid, however the appetizers werent to my liking unfortunately. Everything was nicely spiced, but it didnt feel balanced. So theres a bit of room for improvement but still a solid restaurant that I would recommend to check out.
This is one of the best place to eat Indian food. The Frankie s (Paratha) are super soft, full of flavours and very filling. We had also ordered bowl. It was excellent with basmati rice plus korma sauce, kachumbar (Indian salad) and choice of meat or paneer/achari potato. My experience of eating Frankie and bowl was beyond my expectations but sandwich is no less. It has perfect taste of Mumbai roadside sandwich. I personally loved Cardamom tea. It s really refreshing.
Must Go!! loved their food, the frankies are mind-blowing and the fried butter chicken is a must try. The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly.
Amazing food and service. The price is so affordable. Also the food quality is very good.
I had an amazing time! A fusion restaurant of Indian food. High quality food and very tasty. The seating is very comfortable and I found it quite refreshing. Food
Really good food and atmosphere. Their in-house chips are amazing!
Wonderful establishment! HIGHLY recommend.
I really enjoyed this restaurant, it s nice to have something different then the usual fast food restaurants around Ajax. The staff here are fantastic people, very helpful and friendly. The food is great. Lots of flavour and spice. Thanks
Absolutely amazing! Best of food made by the best of people. Definitely worth the try!
Great spot to grab food on the go!
Food was excellent. Been there twice now. Customer service is really good. The samosas was tasty especially with the mango sauce.
I took my family and I had the Slow Slow Slow cooked pork Frankie and the spice was really good. The staff looked after us wanting to make sure we had a good experience and the price was pretty good. Would come back.
Great place, good food!
The MAHARAJA PANEER FRANKIE is really good. Very tasty and good amount of spice. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Very delish and the staff is way more friendly than most places you go. Great reward system too!
The food is fresh and taste is great. The service is amazing they pay attention to detail. The restaurant is clean bright and well laid out. Absolutely worth the price. The food is delicious, portion size is perfect and overall very impressed. Welcome to Ajax
Busy of course because they just opened. The food is just okay. The pakoras were just okay..not crispy enough. The chutney that came with was good but not enough of it. The Butter Chicken Bowl..chicken was not crispy..lots of rice, not enough butter sauce but the salad was good. Staff is still in learning mode.
This is not the type of frankie you find in Bombay.
My parents and I tried this last night for dinner. We each got 3 different paratas. We ordered the Vindaloo, Pork and Masala. They were all good, but we liked the pork best. Had the most flavour. Looking forward to trying their bowls next. The staff was polite and helpful with suggestions. Will be back soon.
Great spot, my second time visiting Ajex and coming down to this spot. The Frankies are spot on and refreshes memories for anyone who has had Frankies in Mumbai or rolls in Delhi. The chutney they serve with the Frankies are also very unique in taste. I also bought some of the masalas they sell at the store. Better than what we buy from Indian stores. Also budget friendly and great service.
I just ordered a rice and Chick peas. I asked for chicken on the side not in the same container because my husband doesnt eat meat when I got home everything was in one container so my husband was not able to eat it. Please let your staff know what it means on the side / another container I told the girl at the cash register about no meat in there. Nevertheless I enjoyed the food ,the samosa and the mango Lassi. I wish there was more spices in the mango chutney. The people were pleasant and welcoming at the restaurant.
Tried it with my husband the second day it opened. The staff were very nice and helped us navigate the menu. We got the slow roasted pork bowl and masala chicken frankie. We ended up enjoying it so much that we returned back again a few days later. We got the pork Frankie and the butter chicken bowl. The flavour was really good but we found that the butter chicken wasn t hot. Hopefully that it was a one off. But we definitely would still return to try it again.
Butter chicken bowl Feel like I got butter chicken soup. Food
Radhika was awesome!! So are all the men in this team. Food was good. Total repeat!! Vegetarian options: The mushroom Frankie...yumm!!
Amazing food! Everything was hot, fresh and full of flavour. We ate in and the staff very kindly brought our food right to us at the table where we were waiting. I had the Vindaloo Chicken Frankie & my friend had the Potato Frankie. We both also got some side Pakoras. Everything tasted fantastic! We will be back for lunch again soon!
Really good food specially the paneer one. Great people..!!
We ve ordered frankies, samosas & lassi yesterday. Taste was really good, service was amazing, the atmosphere has a homely feeling. Those frankies are tangy, spicy & creamy . We especially loved the mango sauce they gave with our samosas. Staffs are very friendly. Must try restaurant in Ajax. Only concern is the price.
Very little chick peas lots of lettuce and other stuff
Loved it! Really delicious and nutritious bowls - lots of chicken and salad, the way I like it! I ordered Chicken Vandaloo - full of flavour. Masala Tea piping hot and enjoyed with meal. Even though it is fast food, it offers a nice and modern seating area. Really kind staff who strives to help. A wonderful experience.
Great place to enjoy Frankie!
We tried their Aloo acha to frankie and samosa chat - both were really delicious. Very friendly staff. The frankie s were not greasy which was the biggest win for me
Tasty food
I took my daughter on the weekend .I had the Chicken Vindaloo and she had the crispy butter chicken bowl. We both loved the food and will be repeat offenders. Awesome and good portion size .Very very tasty
Delicious food and amazing ambience! Lots of variety on their menu . Service was impressive. I went there with my family and all of us enjoyed the food we order. Highly recommend.
I was so excited to hear about this place opening up and it lived up to my expectations and then some! Haven t had a Frankie in over 20 years and this lunch took me right back to when I was a kid marvelling at street food vendors in Bombay. I got the vegetarian Achari Potato Frankie as I thought it would be closest to what I ate as a child and it was fantastic. It was only marked as 1 on the spice level but I felt it was quite spicy! My Frankie was spiced potato chunks wrapped up in a paratha along with a mixture of tiny diced tomatoes, cucumber, raw onion. You have the option to have your Frankie with an egg wash and I went with it for peak authenticity. My tastebuds were absolutely rewarded. You can make a combo for 3.99 where you get masala potato chips and a pop or swap out for samosas/pakoras/chickpea salad. You can also adjust the spice level to your liking by speaking up. The only thing I didn t care too much for was the mint chutney that you can dip your chips in. The fountain pop machine is one where you can select what you want yourself with practically every combination available. My friends enjoyed their lunches as well. They tried the chickpea Frankie which was listed at 2 on the spice level and the Chicken Vindaloo Frankie which was at a 3. The intensity of the spice didn t kick in until halfway through the meal for both of them. They offer kulfis (Indian ice cream popsicles) as well and I had the Malai one (Cardamom Cream) which was delicious, cold, and the perfect amount of sweet. The staff is very attentive and brought the food on metal trays to our tables personally. The wait time was nonexistent. A lot of their tables had high bar stools but they also had normal tables with normal chairs and plenty of room for anybody with accessibility needs. I forgot to take any pics of the Frankies but my friends insist we will be returning soon so I will try to remember on my next visit. Vegetarian options: There are multiple vegetarian options and possibly a few vegan options as well.
Didnt know what to expect and was pleased in every respect. Premises were clean throughout, owners and staff helpful and diligent and food was fresh and tasty. We were thoroughly impressed. Hoping this keeps up because upon first impression this place is exceptional.
Had paneer franki and it was not worth the price. Theres no taste at all. Only taste which came was of plane paneer .. no good sause. Not at all worth the price they are selling. The ambiance was good and clean place and lots of parking.
Not good got two butter chicken bowls and one vindaloo bowl. I know Indian curry and this is not it. Just a mush of rice vegetables and some meat. Never again I will return to local traditional Indian resturants and Jamacian Roti resturants. Sorry Franki.
Courteous staff, place very clean. Price reasonable and the Frankies were very good. A bit spicy but can get used to it! Will definitely return.
Delicious Chickpeas Veggies Rice Bowl with Masala Chai. Clean place, nice ambience and and courteous service.
Great service at the front desk!
Tried the Crispy Butter Chicken Frankie and really enjoyed it!
Butter Chicken Frankie I tried here was divine! The portions are pretty big as well. The service is great, the cashier is very helpful and explained to us the menu (it was our first time trying Frankies). Overall a great experience. Edit: on the second visit we got a samosa combo with drink, and the soda you can pour from the machine is very chemical both in look and taste. Some of it splashed on my hand and stained it orange which couldnt be washed out completely even with soap.... I wish this place could offer some better drinks like masala chai or something like that, because that soda is horrendous. Vegetarian options: Had a lot of vegetarian Frankies on the menu Dietary restrictions: Asked about egg allergies beforehand since its usually used in the Frankie
Went here for the first time yesterday. Fellow at counter was extremely helpful and patient in helping me choose what to order. My spicy chicken bowl was fresh, tasty, super delicious! Super friendly staff, excellent experience. Will definitely be back.
Had the pork and the butter chicken Frankies, both were great. We need an Indian place in Stouffville if there are plans to grow! It would be great to have you nearby
Amazing food... authentic, flavor full and totally hit the spot
Just noticed this place. Great concept of Indian street food. I had on of the Frankie Rolls, Indiana food wrapped in a naan. I will definitely be here again
Very clean.
I have never been to Bombay Frankies, but always wanted to try it since they opened. I ordered 2 samosas and the marinated chicken bowl. The samosas were awesome! I loved the Mango chutney. I agree with another review that it wasnt enough. The marinated chicken bowl was very good. I would have liked more sauce though. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The food came nicely presented in the take-out container. The location is convenient and parking is plentiful. The atmosphere of the location is nice, friendly, and clean. The staff were patient helping walk in orders. I had ordered online for a specific pick-up time. I arrived early and needed to wait. One of the staff went on break and reminded others that I was waiting for my order. They also had spice mixtures and other products for sale too. I will be back to try something different.
I tried maharaja paneer frankie. For the price, the portion size is not enough. Also the roll was half cooked. from sides it was raw. Coming to taste, it was just okay. Not value for money.
Wanted to try out a newly opened local business. Well aware of Indian food, but had not heard about Frankies. They explained well, so ordered a Crispy Butter Chicken Frankie and a Maharaja Paneer in a Bowl. For $12 each and quantity you get, thought it was less. So pricey. Coming to the bowl, presentation was good, taste ok. Paneer cubes were spucy. What I did not like was the pathetic little quantity of sauce they give. It was barely enough for 1/4 of the rice. So dish was very dry. Had to add little bit of some sauce from home for remaining dish and that altered the taste. So overall, did not like. Not going back till they lower prices and try their own dish to see how dry it was. Coming to Butter chicken Frankie, which was tasted by a family member...they said it was OK, dont want to try again. Tastes like Aaloo Paratha !! So back to Bar Burrito, which is lot more filling and flavourful when I want a vegetarian bowl.
I had a Butter Chicken Frankie Bowl and it was a generous portion size. The chicken tenders were delicious and sauced well. The bowl was very filling and I had a hard time finishing my meal. I chose the samosas for a side. Wow. Those little guys are loaded with stuffing. I loved the mango chutney that accompanied them. It wasnt overly sweet and had real mango hunks. The mango Lassi complimented the meal well. Chef Vikram will occasionally stop by the restaurants, so I had the chance to meet him. He was so kind! Ample seating inside, as well as free parking in the parking lot.
We enjoyed the butter chicken bowl and chickpea masala bowl. Great!
Tried this place for the first time. Servers were great and explained the background and products. Food was tasty. An employee even checked on us twice while we ate. Thats incredible for a take out place. Filling in the chickpea Frankie was lacking but flavor was there. Will eat at this chain again.
We really like the idea of Bombay Frankie. We ordered Paneer Frankie and pakora chat. Both items taste were awesome. We will definitely come again. Thanks.
Food was disgusting. This place is over priced and overrated. Don t eat here unless you want to waste your money. I don t see this place surviving very long.
The sweet young man ask me to leave a review if I liked the food I ordered. I said I would. Asked for white girl hot and the heat was perfect for me. Everything Is fresh and well made. The lentil chickpea salad is very good. I will not order the pakora again..they taste okay but if you are like me and love a more traditional one these will not suffice. I will order from here again. Thank you
Were out of area for skip, so we dropped in and picked up a few days ago. Well worth the drive, will order again.
Love Bombay Frankies! Tried the butter chicken as well as the slow roasted pork and both were amazing and delicious!! Also the staff are really friendly and also checked in on us while we were eating to make sure everything is good. Highly recommend and I will be sure to visit again!
For a taste of authentic Bombay Frankies this is the place to go. I ordered a new menu item chilli chicken Frankie and it was good. Think of it as a Mexican burrito, but Indian style. The location itself is quite clean and modern. The service is excellent.
A rare franky joint focused on limited options but it seems they have mastered those recipes. The staff is super friendly. Very few Indian restaurants offer frankies so having a franky specific joint in the area is a boon. FYI. Franky = Indian version of a burrito Vegetarian options: They cleaned the grill before preparing for vegetarian meals. That s rare and really commendable.
We tried this place yesterday for the first time. The food was amazing, Ankit was patient and went over the dishes with us. We tried the vindaloo frankie and the original. Both were tasty and had different flavors. Frankies are decent size, 1 person can eat and will be full. Will definitely come back. The restaurant is very clean and very modern looking. The ambience is good.
It was my first time at Bombay Frankie s Ajax today and I ordered the BF masala Frankie which was SO good! Perfectly spiced and the wrap (paratha) had a great texture without being greasy :) The service was great too! We will be back!
Being from India i can say it doesnt take like a frankie at all. It is some kind of fusion between mexican burrito with indian ingredients. Worst part, the prantha was not even cooked from inside. It was dough in the center. I feel anyone can still b ok with not so delicious food but eating raw dough can lead to health problems. Would never visit
well the best street style bombay frankie in canada and every indian should visit once specifically who loves mumbai street food cause it is truly authentic street style food of mumbai and im mumbaikar so trust me!
Food very tasty and the staff are very nice and caring.
