My Roti Place/My Dosa Place in Ajax

We randomly went there for a late lunch. Saw there is a buffet, and gave it a try. It was great! They provide fresh dosas to the table. My mom loved it. And the service is great!

Buffet needs to be warm when in tray, they use serene wrap on their buffet trays which is pretty toxic since the food is hot and the plastic can easily melt and combine with the food. Decent for the price when it comes to lunch buffet but they really need to focus on quality and what they are great at making rather than spread thin and provide too much variety like buffet. The waitress is really nice though.

I go twice or thrice a week to this place which is near my workplace and man I love their food. I ordered spicy Egg Fried rice and they always give good amount of the dish with great flavor. Absolutely worth my money!

Visiting second time for the buffet. It s really worth the money spent on buffet. Limited spread and worth it. Loved their mutton gravy during my second visit today. It s really awesome. One other thing to love their buffet is they do not provide sweets/ice-cream in their dessert. Instead, they had custard fruit which i feel is a great option. Hope to visit multiple times again in future.

There is a chicken curry roti that you should try. Our visit was even better since we got to see.

Stopped in for the first time to try a few dishes I ve been wanting to try. Staff were beyond helpful and very pleasant to speak to! I tried the pani puri, mango lassi, and samosa from here, and it was so incredibly delicious! My mother tried the butter chicken and she loved it as well! The service went above and beyond during my visit. I will definitely be back! What an amazing meal!

We ordered a mysoremasala Dosa. They gave us a cold dosa and, when we complained about it they were arguing on that. One of the girl was very disrespectful.

Had the butter chicken roti and it was not what I expected at all. I thought it was going to be a handheld wrap but its flat, filled and loaded with an incredible taste and big chunks of chicken. Ill be back!!

I got the mysore masala dosa, and though it was crispy, the flavors were very bland. The atmosphere was okay, but the receptionist had a disinterested face, which kinda threw me off, and asking with the bad dosa kinda made me unhappy with the experience.

I used to go there every weekend or every other weekend for their buffet. $15 per person is very reasonable. Though they have much less options compared to some buffet places in Whitby and Oshawa, their food was flavourful and authentic spicy (Indian standard). Best I had was the day the branch manager was in there. After 2 months gap we went recently and took my friends bragging about it. Such a disappointment. No more authentic flavours. Only we could taste is salt. We asked the usual server what happened. She replied some people complained that it s too spicy. They shouldn t have kept some of the items authentic. At this point would not recommend.

We went for a Sunday lunch buffet. The spread was good but I would appreciate non veg starters too as there were none. The food was really good. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time.

I loved the samosa the most it tasted great and was a good size.

The food is fine, with the exception of the occasional mistake, but every time I order to pick up, I get there and nothing is ready. The restaurant will be dead and I get there 20 mins after phoning it in and Ill still sit around waiting 15 mins. Every time. They always say just waiting on one item and then I see them start and finish all my items. So frustrating.

Its a wonderful place to visit with friends or family they have great food and best service in the town.

Sheetal suggested Chicken Noodles for us which was delicious in each and every aspect, tasty and well cooked.

We also ordered the Paneer 65 which Pranav garnished in a plate and explained the journey of the dish. You have provided such a loving and caring service and for that I am so grateful.

The Classic Utthappam was simply amazing and delicious and perfectly cooked as I have mentioned before. Well done everyone, good job.

The food used to be better. The chat had no chick peas and stale papri. The boneless Biryani had a small amount of shredded chicken. The dosas are not made from scratch and that is reflected in the taste. The prices have been raised and quality has gone down. Overall, I would not recommend it. Hope they can improve on the quality as it used to be good for a fast food experience.

Worst experience ever. Never recommend this place to anyone. Dishes were dirty. Food was pathetic. We ordered momos and two different dosa, there was same stuffing of just potato and those aren t cooked properly. The girl who was serving us, was seemed frustrated, very rude and aggressive to us. . All over wastage of money. Spoiled our mood. Plus the tables were unclean. The glasses were not soaked properly and they were dirty from inside. The spoons were also dirty. the girl who is working at front desk was serving and the way of her speaking to us was very unprofessional for a second, I felt like she s not even educated.

Want to keep it long just wanna let everyone know don t visit this place cause when I visited, the tables were unclean after that the food which we God was stale and cold the quantity of sambar was very low I must have beard all of this, but when the lady working at front desk, who was doing the job of a server, also started talking to us very rudely just because we ordered some extra sambar she was very unprofessional and visiting this place spoiled my whole night she must be fired from the Work if the owner wants to run his place don t want to say this, but it s gotta be done

The tomato chutny and the sambar was really good. The dosa tasted as if cooked in used oil. The coconut chutney has no flavour of coconut. The dosa I had from the downtown location was really good.

We gave this place another chance after a disastrous meal the last time, and unfortunately the food was disappointing. We ordered two gravies with roti. The gravies were extremely oily / greasy. The rôties were 100% maida. Completely disappointed. Felt like we wasted our money. There is no point in sharing any information because they ask you to send an email but never revert. We ordered multiple items but I want to talk about bisibelle bath. It took more than 45 minutes to get ready. And it was tasteless. Parts of the bowl were ice cold, and parts were burning hot. It was not mixed properly. And the coriander thrown on top was rotten. This was order number 032 on June 28th in the evening after 8.00 Pm.

We ordered kadai paneer roti, plain dosa and masala dosa and they were all amazing. The kadai paneer roti was fresh and full of flavour. The blend of spices used in the masala dosa was so flavourful. We loved the little touch of the free gulab jamun. A wholesome meal. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and non vegetarian options to choose from.

Bombay kheema pav is a must!!!

You ll have to be patient, especially if you re going with a big group. We were 9 people with a pretty big order and there was only one person cooking. They did offer a complimentary dosa to make up for a delay of over 35 minutes! Taste and the quantity are pretty good for the price. Highly recommended.

Pre cooked frozen food. They are warming in microwave and serving. Even roti is cold. Worst food. Date of visit: 1 July 2024,1.30pm. In veg thali the chapati/roti that was even cold and rough. In chicken briyani the chicken piece at the base of the container was cold. Now don t say it s freshly prepared. We saw that serving person warming the food in microwave. The salna / curry given with briyani (something like tomato curry) was fully cold. 101% the food in this store is not freshly prepared. As you replied, I don t want to email any details. Everything is here. You know the truth what you serve. Not to blame that serving lady. What the management says, that s what she do. It s not her fault.

Have tried lunch buffet at my dosa place and trust me that was pathetic.... I have never had this bad food in all my life. If you ll ask why? so the ans is 0 taste, not fresh and not even warm and imbalances of spices. Looks like some kid was experimenting while cooking and we tried. Please dont go and do the same mistake. We waisted our 29$ and came out with our empty stomach. Lol

I have tried the masala dosa many a times but never liked the taste... Everytime the same pale taste... over priced and the potato stuff inside the dosa they just dont cook with any masala or onion... simple aloo... nothing tasty... they always provide a little bit of sambar and chutneys not according to the price.... very disappointing........

Edit from May 2024: Went in today to get a Chicken Thali, what a disappointment it was! Especially disappointing given that all my previous experiences here have been great. The thali has a little bit of chicken curry with maybe 3 pieces of chicken in it, a little bit of chickpeas, 2 rotis and a lot of rice. There wasn t any salad or yoghurt either. Seemed like a rip-off for $16. Definitely put a damper on all previous good experiences, unfortunately won t be coming back here now. Wow just checked out this place today and going back for sure! The food was amazing. The service was slow but we didnt mind waiting because the food was really good. We tried calling ahead (quite a few times infact) but didnt get a response. We were later told that there was some issue with their phone line today. The manager (perhaps owner?! not sure) noticed that we were waiting a long time and offered to check in on our order and got our food shortly after. He also offered us drinks for inconvenience, which I had first declined. But we did decide later to try some house drinks that looked so colorful and tasted even better. Had a great experience and cant wait to go back already!

This is my second time here, and the food is absolutely delicious, i love the mango lamb curry and naan. I met two servers and they are so polite and hard working, big up to Sheetal and Roma, hard working ladies, the boss cook is such a nice guy as well.

Food is super tasty, portions are excellent, great value for the price. And the people are really kind and friendly. We feel very welcome here. We love the buffet on the weekend (before 4pm).

Taste wasnt that much good. Very less quantity of Chutney (might they have to rethink about quantity). Price was something else in the menu, and they charged a different price. They have unlimited dosa nights on Thursdays and Fridays, and a lunch buffet on Saturdays and Sundays. Plenty of seating available. Do try the chai!

I was searching for a dosa eatery with good taste and ended up my search at My Dosa Place. Dosa was too crisp as per demand, Masala aloo bhaji & Kadhai Paneer were tasty veg options for accompaniments. Coconut chutney was consistent and Sambhar was also authentic. Staff is courteous to every customer asking about food quality and views. I tried unlimited Dosa option & it was beyond my expectation. Now I ll gonna try a buffett on weekend.

Me and my family have come here for dinner multiple times, each time just as enjoyable we usually get a Mysore Masala Dosa the environment is very cosy and nice we love coming here! Seems like every week end they have but it may change in future.. around 25 south/ north Indian Items with Pani puri chat etc .. for 12.99$ Taste really good, served dosa, naan need basis more then worth for the money... A very nice gentleman named Manny helped me with my order & I tried the delicious mango lassi, Biryani rice & boneless chicken special for the first time. Non-veg dishes maybe good but cant say the same for the veg dishes. Buttermilk doesnt have a tadka, please.

Ordered egg noodles, dosa and idiyappam. Noodles tasted really good. Sumptuous amount of veggies and egg. Chutney quantity is not enough especially if your charging for extra chutney and sambar.

I had lunch of rotti with chicken gravy. Rotti s okay . But I didn t like gravy. Service was not bad.

very friendly staff. food is always good and they have a wide variety. lunch specials for thali is really filling. my family enjoys their roti dishes. love the palak paneer roti. they also have great chai and my boyfriend and i came all the time during our vacation. recommend the karak chai!

First time there. Tried their Mutton Keena dosa and really loved it. They have different spice levels and I got medium which was good for even kids. Decent ambience. Will go there again to try other items.

Weve been here multiple times and tried a few different things. Our favorites are the Paneer 65 and Masala Chai. The staff is warm and friendly, which makes the experience even nicer.
