Better than any other Korean chicken restaurant in the whole of GTA and their price cannot beat any other Korean chicken restaurants as well much recommended for taste, quality and price.

Say NO to halal.....this islamic halal stuff is bullshit....anything that involves islam is crazy.....if you knew how halal chicken is done youd never eat it....

Worst restaurant. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Lazy staff and the dine-in closing times keep changing! I got there at 9:16 one day and they said the dine-in closed at 9:15 and wouldnt serve me so I left. Decided to give them another chance and got there at 8:58 and was in line waiting to order. Tried to order at 9:02 and they said the dine-in closes at 9!!! Another reviewer said they told him dine-in closes at 8:50! Its like they dont want to serve you - very strange for a restaurant to refuse business! Good luck trying to get a meal.

You can tell the food was made with love and has a lot history when it comes to the flavour of all the food, the teokkbokki, friend chicken and all the side dishes.

If dine-in services are advertised, please ensure that staffing capacity is available to cater customer needs. Food was not served to our group of 3 around the same time, there was almost a 10 min gap for next person to receive their order. Almost every single request needed to be told (water top up, bill, take out box for excess food), there was never a moment where staff members proactively came to the table to see if our table needs were met. Hoping to see the above concerns addressed, because the food is solid.

Been a regular customer now, but the last visits dine in, the chicken were a bit gamy....like the spices didnt managed to mix well with the chicken meat....was also surpised that they charge $2.50 for the raddish which was free before...didnt mind paying for the $2.50 but give us a decent portion instead of a small cup with 10 pcs of raddish, cmon guys dont be too greedy with the raddish

My worst customer service experience in Canada! Ever! Ordered food for pickup, told me would take 20-25 mins. After waiting for an hour tells me that they are out of chibap & would take another 30mins. Not sorry at all. People who ordered after us have already eatten and left. Ask for a refund, their machine doesnt work. Return cash & are short of couple of dollars. Shame on you guys! I had guests waiting for food at home!

I ordered take out, and was told food will be ready in 20 minutes. After going in after 20mins to pickup, I was told it will be another 5 minutes. I was given my order almost an hour after placing it and waiting in the parking lot (this was not during peak hours either). Won t be wasting my time here again.

there s always some type of issue anytime I ve gone here. sometimes they forget my order, sometimes they undercook the chicken, or sometimes they get our order wrong. won t be back here anymore unfortunately

I previously wrote a very positive review of Banban after my solo visit to Toronto, which prompted me to bring my family this time. However, I was disappointed with the service on this occasion. After a long drive back from Niagara and navigating traffic, we were looking forward to dining at Banban, especially since I had enjoyed it so much before. Despite their website and door hours indicating they were open until 10 PM, I discovered that dine-in service actually ended at 9 PM. I arrived at 8:55 PM, but was informed that we needed to be seated by 8:50 PM to be accommodated. This policy was not mentioned anywhere, and it was frustrating to learn this only upon arrival. I was 5 minutes late after such a long day this is so disappointing atleast mention it somewhere and we could have been offered to eat in our takeout box too as they take orders till 10pm but ig the staff was worried we would delay them going home.

Food was amazing, got the rose tteokbokki and boneless Korean Fried chicken. Both were delicious, hot, and served quickly. Parking: Lots of free parking

It was really okay, not an authentic Korean place honestly. Its good for getting a taste like trying for the first time. The crisp is real though!

We ordered the spicy chilly bone in chicken which was honestly very tasty and the price was fairly good for the size of the chicken pieces and was good enough for a group of 5 However the Tteokbokki was a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT, it was not at all spicy as it says on the menu, moreover the rice cakes were very chewy The server looked confused (maybe she is new), she bought us the wrong Tteokbokki first, which was NOT OKAY, considering that we do not eat turkey bacon.. Overall, Disappointed Might not return!

Got yangnyeom but next time I ll go for the spicy chili Got the yangnyeom and Spicy Chili boneless. Was very good. Quite pricey but a lot of chicken for the price! Soy garlic has to be my fave flavour - it has a little spice which there was a soy garlic spice would be so yummy. Spicy Chili has quite the kick I love spicy food and would rate this a 4/10 in spice level for me, but for my bf it was more a 7/10 in spice level so ymmv. Updated: got it again and was dying it s like a 8/10 spice level Yangnyeom was very flavourable and enjoyable! Pleasantly surprised! We will be back :) I ve tried every flavour except honey garlic now but that is not a flavour of interest in general.

Heard a lot about this place and finally tried it... was not disappointed! The boneless chicken was great, love the nice crunch to it, and the sauces for the chicken were great. Will definitely be eating here again.

May be not according to my taste buds .. but the tteokbokki tasted a little weird .. the sauce in the cream tteokbokki tasted good .. we also got korean noodles which kids liked .. soy and garlic fried chicken has too much of sweet taste which i didnt like but the chicken itself and the way it was fried was good.. the chilli in there was also good but wish it was less sweet or only savory .. the kids meal chicken popcorn and fries which came with a juice was really good taste and quantity wise .. the total was 128 which included 18% gratuity for a group of 7 or more .. service was ok too .. located in Ajax downtown with lots of parking

We have ordered from here a handful of times and it s progressively getting worse. Today when we ordered the kids meal it wasn t edible at all. There was barely any chicken in the boneless pieces. Just fat and dough. It had an odd smell and my kids just didn t eat it. The bone in were similar in the sense that there was barely any meat on the pieces. Mostly bone and batter. We threw away most of the meal. Never ordering from here again. As we called them to inform them of how the kids meal wasn t edible and they didn t really seem to care.

Really long wait on the food.. Was waiting almost 1 hour to eat and when I asked if the food was ready or not, the waiter told me she was conversating with the owner and the food had been ready for awhile. Definitely bad service and not worth the price.

I would recommend dining in the restaurant to experience the freshness of the fried goodness but if you do want take-out, I would recommend calling in to place your orders - there have been times in the past where my friends have tried to order here and they ran out because its just that popular. I recommend this place to anyone that loves chicken. Better than any chicken restaurant I have ever been to before.The food was absolutely amazing. Work lunch tried a bunch. We tried corn cheese chicken dumplings for starters so fresh and light. Then had a rice dish called chiba, poutine, bone-in chicken, and boneless. The food was delicious and portions were huge. Chicken was so crispy and moist.

Really enjoyed their boneless fried chicken. We tried 2 flavours: Soy Garlic (left) and Spicy Chilli (right). We prefer the spicy chilli flavour. It was sweet, tangy and spicy. The soy garlic was good too but too sweet imo. Each order comes with a pretty good amount of chicken and can easily be shared amongst 2 people.

I stopped by for lunch and ordered a chicken sandwich to go. There were three flavors available, so I asked the person at the front for his recommendation, and he suggested the Yangnyeom. The sandwich alone was nearly $14 after tax, which is a bit much. While waiting for my order, I used the washroom and found it incredibly dirty, with a you-know-what mess in the toilet that looked like it had been there for a while. After about 10 minutes of waiting, the same guy told me, We re out of coleslaw, is that okay? Since I had already paid and waited, I didn t know what else to say other than uhhhhh, yeah I guess? A part of me was hoping that they would take the initiative to make it right somehow with a free side or something, but 5 minutes later, the sandwich was handed to me and nothing. The portion size was nothing spectacular, very average. The prices are high, and the place could use better cleanliness. But I must admit, the sandwich was very tasty I m sure it s even better with the coleslaw lol. For those ordering delivery, these issues might not be a big deal. However, I will consider giving this restaurant another chance for a dine-in experience and will update my review if this visit was just an off day.

Had an amazing Korean Fried Chicken experience! I would recommend to Chibap (rice with egg and chicken on top) meal and Tteokbeokki (rice cake dish, similiar to pasta) meals on top of their excellent chicken meals. Moreover, the establishment was spick and span, and well maintained. Service could have a been a tad fasterbut I just chalked it up to how busy they were when we visited . Dahee (our hostess) was incredibly attentive and checked in on multiple times to make sure we were comfortable.

Korean fried chicken is relatively new to Durham Region, but the KFC here did not disappoint! We got the yangyeum and the honey garlic bone-in chicken dishes and the portions were huge and super tasty, with a very crispy and saucy exterior and moist and juicy meat inside. Was really impressed by the quality and portions for the price. I d say I liked the yangyeum sauced KFC slightly more, it was sweet and had just the right amount of slight spice for me! The interior is also very cute, with lots of throwback K-pop hits on the speakers and nice decor. Service was friendly, although I take a star off simply because they seemed short-staffed, especially with all the dine-in and delivery orders on a Saturday night, so things were a bit slow. However everything else was great and I d definitely come back here to try their other KFC varieties and other dishes!

They make wonderful Korean style fried chicken. Very, very delicious. They make the chicken fresh for each order and it takes 25 mins minimum to make. So call ahead accordingly for take out, if you have a craving. Highly suggest take out. They have a dinning area, but it is not very big, so you may not get a seat when it is a busy time. That is ok because the food has big flavor. Varies from mild spice (which has some spice, not zero to spicier. They were very kind, very polite service.

This has become my favourite Korean fried chicken spot and I ve been to many spots in North York - this one tops them all. The chicken is insanely juicy and tastes fresh. The batter around it is crispy and not too thick. We got the soy garlic sauce and it was delicious. I really loved the extra chillies they garnished with - they added a good amount of spice. We also had the rose Tebbokki which was delicious. I can t wait to come back!

I had high expectations going in to Ban Ban, after all, truly authentic Korean fried chicken is scarce in Ajax. But what should have been an easy 5 star review was bought down by some very small faux pas. First, the good, the chicken was well cooked, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. The flavors to choose from include sweet, savory and spicy and the service was excellent. No complaints there. Things start to get a little shaky when you notice that no side dishes are served with your entree. Normally, this wouldnt be an issue however Korean cuisine is unique in that you ALWAYS get side dishes with your entree, and Korean fried chicken is no exception. This couldve been forgiven had the portions been larger but unfortunately this was not the case, which means in this economy you get less bang for ypur buck. In the end, I liked it.....but I couldve loved it.

The only Korean Fried Chicken spot for us! So so so good every time. Even leftovers - on the rare occasion we have any - taste exactly the same next day, as long as we use the toaster oven to re-heat. We always get their soy garlic bone-in chicken and their rice bowls. Go check it out and you won t be disappointed!!!

Not sure if the best thing about BanBan is there fried chicken or their customer service. We were greeted with a big smile and lovely customer service and until we left, it was made sure we had everything we wanted and was happy. We got the BanBan fried chicken Platter with half Original Fried Chicken and the other half Spicy Chilli. We wanted to try more than 1 flavour, and this felt the best. We loved both the Original and Spicy Chilli! They each had its unique taste and flavor. The Spicy chilli was definitely Spicy even for us who are used to having spicy food. However, we loved it.

The funniest ironic thing about a restaurant is when they refuse to serve you just because they are busy. I used to own a restaurant, and i am very well versed in the hospitality industry. It is a mortal sin of the hospitality industry to reject a customer due to them being too busy. You can never and should never be too busy to serve anyone. I for one will never be coming back whether your e restaurant is busy or calm.

We drove 35-40 min to try this restaurant and we were not disappointed. We had the boneless spicy chili and the bone-in old school chicken. Spicy chili is definitely spicy but tasty. The saucy chicken was still crispy and juicy. The old school chicken was Soo crispy and juicy. Really mild flavor for my taste but you can definitely taste the chicken and it was perfectly cooked. We also got the chicken fries and the fries didnt get soggy with the chicken which was a nice. Milikis was needed and was perfect combo with the fried chicken. Definitely going to come back when Im in the mood for HALAL Korean fried chicken. Edit: I forgot to mention this place serves HALAL chicken. Which is really nice and appreciated.

Really good Korean fried chicken in Ajax. It is a nice cozy environment and can get quite busy. They do not have many workers at the front so it may take awhile for service if you are dining in. The food is hot, tasty and decent portions. The fried chicken was really crispy with a good batter to meat ratio and juicy on the inside. It wasnt greasy and has good flavours. Cant go wrong with the original. Would definitely come back if in the area.

It was my first time a couple of my brothers and I tried Korean Fried Chicken.. and by extension, Korean Food in General before. The place was located in front of an Ajax Mosque, which was pretty cool, too! My brothers and I ordered their Yangnyeom 9 Piece and Soy Garlic 9 Piece fried chicken and they were phenomenal! It was very crispy and juicy and the flavour we adored. We also ordered their Cream and Rose Tteokbokki side dishes that were also extremely tasty and chewy! Their fries were also really good too! (We ordered way too much on the first in general, we worried we couldn t finish it there, but we don t regret it!) The staff were very friendly and they delivered on the food with great timing. We would definitely like to come here again! (I should add that this review should ve been done way earlier, I forgot to do it on the 3rd when we dined. The food was still really good! ) Dietary restrictions: Halal food, very good halal food at that.

My hubby and I went here to try out the famous Korean fried chicken! The food was amazing and delicious also very decently priced which was surprising because of the quantity! However I was a bit sad I ordered a ramen and they forgot to make it, so we ended up canceling our order for that. Will visit again for the ramen next time!

The first couple times the food was excellent. Recently I bought the chilli chicken and almost every piece was deep fried chicken grizzle and fat. My son wouldn t eat it

If you don t know now you know, food taste great and the portions are great. 10/10 would recommend. Parking: Lots of space

This chicken is literally life changing, I literally cried eating the yangnyeom flavoured pieces not to mention that they are super filling and I had to take some home with me. The fries are immaculate, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and a regular size is a lot. I will definitely become a regular here. Worth every dollar!

The fried chicken were perfectly seasoned, sauced, crispy and best tasting. Service was excellent. Price is reasonable and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Well definitely come back for more. 5* any day!

Friends and I had a big reservation. We made the res the day before, and the restaurant/staff were very accommodating and welcoming. Food was fantastic, with reasonable prices for generous portions. We all left satisfied, and some of us even took out some orders after finishing. Highly recommend this spot.
