The service is always outstanding at Pizza Pino. I will drive out of my way to get Pizza from here. The food is excellent. The old atmosphere is great. I love it. Great job guys.

Ordered a lg pizza with 3 1/2 toppings, breaded Mushrooms, 2 lbs wings and a guiness beer + 10% tip cost me $82. Had to come back as 1 lb of wings was missing. Mushrooms were the best item ordered. Although staff were friendly I cannot give a favourable rating. If the owner doesnt respond to this negative review it shows he doesnt care.

We ordered Pinos Special pizza (garlic base) takeout and we were not disappointed. Everything tasted home-made and delicious. Well order from them again! Thank you!

First time trying tonight and it wont be my last. I like the crust. We got Hawaiian and were quite pleased. The customer service was top notch too.

Been ordering or eating in forever. Went since I was a kid and teenager. When the new owner took over my husband and I sat and ate with him and had a lovely convo years ago. We drive about 25 mins one way for the last 6 years just to get the pizza. We order frequently. We ordered less than 2 weeks ago. Called in today and the same exact order we always get we are told we are going to be charged extra for our order. I ask why and explain I don t understand. I ve been ordering for years and even ordered two weeks ago and paid a lower amount . Jay says you ve just been lucky for years we should have been charging you extra, do you want the pizza or not? He literally has my orders in front of him and can see what we pay and what we paid just two weeks ago but he continues to repeat that I should be grateful I ve never been charged the extra and should just pay it today because it s worth it. He then says he remembers who k am. But continues to make a point of saying my name completely wrong 3 times despite me politely correcting him. He repeats he remembers me. I say, what does that mean? He makes a point of saying how small the price increase is and how k should have always been paying it with a tone that feels like he s implying I m an idiot or cheap. Why are you being so condescending? I ve been friendly and polite every time I come in. He just laughs. Says you can take it up with the owner. Then he hangs up on me but didn t hang up properly so I could hear him telling a customer i was ridiculous before explaining to them which pizza was which in their order and checking them out. Im not sure how anything I said or asked was ridiculous. I guess when the pizza is that good, you can be condescending to people and not give af

Tried this pizza place given the good reviews Ive read online. However, pizza had no taste/flavor overall. Pineapple was tasteless. Pizza was made Montreal style - loaded with cheese. Overall, was disappointed.

This place is a genuine gem. Speaking to the staff you feel like youre at a hotel. The staff have a love of food that is blatant. If there was a pizza village from an anime, this would be that place. Shoutout to Miguel, who gives this business an incredible first impression. The crust here is a bready, almost pastry like, sourdough-ish. I feel it shines best with garlic sauce, so my favourite is the Spivak Special. Its divine. The best pizza dough Ive had in my 36 years. And then panzerotti? Brilliant. I will admit Im not big on the default tomato-based sauce when its for their pizza, but the same sauce utilized for thier panzerotti is exceptional. Their panzerottis are pockets of heaven. No joke. Ive had the small one and its great for $12. I cant wait to try the monster on a day I really want to indluge. This is a business that cares about their cuisine, enjoys the company of its customers and invites you to indulge and enjoy. I would give 6 stars if possible because they stand out so much in comparison to the majority of food places in Durham. You get tremendous value for the money you spend here. The quality of the food and the quality of the experience; Pizza Pino is exceptional. This place exceeds the hype.

Lets be real the guys inside are very nice, the pizza is ok but not great at all. Since we are being honest let s mention inside the restaurant, its a dump plain and simple.

I live in Victoria but whenever I visit Toronto, this is one of the places where I always stop and eat fresh pizza.

Best pizza in east GTA !

As a somewhat new resident of Ajax, every local event Ive attended has Pinos pizza on speed dial Ive has this pizza several times now and cannot understand why the high reviews- may I suggest the people of Ajax step outside of the convenience of Pinos to strive for something better? While theres nothing horrible about this pizza, theres nothing outstanding about it- the dough is thick, limp and tasteless, the cheese when it hardens looks and has the consistency of a cheese/soy product commonly used in the industry ( lots of stretch with no flavour) , the sauce is bland and buried underneath a myriad of miscellaneous foodstuff As someone of Italian descent, may I suggest the owner ( whom I assume is also of Italian descent) refer back to their roots and come up with something that better represents what great pizza is known for- simplicity with a focus on quality and flavour. This is not an attack, just constructive criticism-Ive no doubt they can offer much better than this however the volume of business they have keeps them where they are

Invited by my bestie for dinner at this little gem for pizza. Love the old school settings, as I walked in. Felt like home! Greeted with a smile and great food options. I enjoyed the Pinos Pesto pizza. So tasty and cooked to perfection. Great first impression and will visit again. Outstanding customer service that makes you want to return.

We used to love this place. Had not been there since way before the pandemic. The sauce, the dough were old school Italian and spot on years ago (Im Italian so I know). Something has changed and I am very disappointed. The crust used to be well proofed with a nice thick, airy, yeasty crust. You could smell the bready goodness when you entered. What I got was thin and dense with no crusty edges. Toppings were good and generous but with pizza, the crust is what carries it. The sauce was unessessarily spicy (a point echoed by someone in our group who ordered spaghetti). Service was totally lacking. We were the only ones there at lunch, midweek. Arrived at 12:30. After sitting with our group for over 30 minutes I had to ask for menus. Had we been given these when we first sat, we could have decided, placed orders and have been eating before 2 pm. Not sure well be back. What a shame because the staff seem so nice.

Pizza Pinos style of pizza-making is as close as anyone in Durham Region gets to the Ottawa or Montreal-style of pizza I grew up eating, where you put the ingredients UNDER the cheese. Pizza Pinos pies are delicious. I also love their garlic dip. And you cannot beat the old school pizza parlour feel there, and their numerous historic photos of Ajax are also a great touch.

I got a pie from Pino after reading all the great reviews. This is coming from a pizza guy who has daily pizza diet. Very disappointed. The pizza is heavy dont get me wrong but absolutely no taste. Pepperoni tasted like baloney, pineapple tasted like canned pineapple, the chicken forget about it couldnt even taste it. Alot of cheese but no taste. I say sometimes quality over quantity is better . The taste is really off. For the price that I have paid ... wanted for more quality. 2 starts just for the quantity will fill you up but no taste.

Greatest pizza in Durham, family owned business and they make proper pizza not that fast food chain style. Toppings are always done properly which makes eating two slices enough three people can eat a pizza no issues. Highly recommended. Tried their pesto pizza with Feta cheese, tomatoes, and jalapenos. It was delicious. They also have a patio outside.

I am always on the lookout, whether in town or traveling, for the best pizza places around. I can say without a doubt that Pizza Pino is one of the best, if not the best, pizza place i have been to in North America. It is really that good. Add to that super friendly service, almost like an out of town charm and hospitality, and it all totals up to a true hidden gem of a place.

Pizza Pino has been an Ajax staple for at least as long as I ve lived in Ajax and that s about 30 years. There are a lot of pictures on the walls that tell the history of Ajax which is really cool - they talk about The Bomb Girls of Ajax and so on. As far as the food, my wife and I just ate there last night and we tried to recall a time when we were ever disappointed with the food over all these years, the answer we could come up with was never! Our go to is The Garlic Special with a pound of wings combo, great deal, great taste and the service is always friendly and helpful. As the old TV show used to say: you Gotta Eat Here . And that s especially true if you re from out of town just visiting Ajax - come see our beloved Pizza Joint! Parking: Free parking in lot right in front of the restaurant Kid-friendliness: Over the years they have supported many kids sports teams and I ve often seen pizza parties going on there.

Ive been coming to this pizza joint for two decades, and it has never disappointed. I brought a couple of pizzas to a gathering, and it was an absolute hit.

Some of the best pizza Ive ever had. I recommend staying in and getting fresh pizza like I did my first time. Couldnt convince the older folks to come out but take out was delicious as well! Atmosphere is reminiscent of your after school pizza spot, and limited seating.

Im a pizza guy and by far, this is one of the best pies I ever had - Montréal Style Meat Lovers.

Ordered a medium Pino Special pizza and a large calzone to share amongst 3 people. The calzone was HUGE - literally the size of 2 of our faces!!! We loved the Montreal style pizza with the cheese over the toppings - it was so delicious!!! Both of these had an A+ cheese pull. We were all stuffed and had enough leftovers for lunch the next day too. Owner was super friendly and we had such a great time! Parking was easy, lots of room for dining in, saw lots of people coming for take out orders too. Also props for having complimentary pads in the ladies washroom. Definitely will come back (and with my celiac friends too as they have gluten free pizzas too!) Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizzas are available!

Always amazing ever since the 90s

Amazing spot that Ive been going to since I was a teenager. I just recently had a work event catered and I was thoroughly impressed with everything. This is a place that has stood the test of time and tastes as great today as it did in my teenage years!

Our luncheon event today resulted in us having to place a rush order with Dominos for 10 pizzas when the staff at Pinos forgot about our event and offered nothing in compensation. Total disappointment today...we ordered 3 days in advance for a party of 50 here at the Breakers and your staff sent us away with no explanation at all. We called your rival, Dominos Pizza, who made 10 extra large pizzas for us and delivered them...in ONE HOUR!!!!! We are a community of over 200 people and I think youve lost our business!!!

Small restaurant, big flavor. Pizza Pino has been a staple for my family for over 20+ years. New owners always seem to pick up where old management left off. When I want to truly treat myself, Pizza Pinos is the only option in my brain when it comes to Pizza options. Service is exceptional, I miss the slice & soda lunch specials but thats just a throw back to my childhood I guess. Such things as a slice & pop combos must not be normal anymore, unfortunate.

Hidden gem in the south of Ajax. The monster panzerotti is fitting of the name. But its not just the quantity as the quality is just as great. Definitely my go to for pizza and panzerottis even if I have to travel a bit to get there.

A very decent pie, price point is good. Ample toppings, they entertained my bizarre asks ^_^ Thin crust slices didnt sag, no sliding toppings! The meat sauce is a nice change, veg fresh, the wings were overdone. Friendly counter service, order ready as scheduled. Would def patron again

Dont get anything delivered from here! My order took over 1 hr and 45 mins - I had to call back several times to see if they were still coming and was told they were stuck in traffic and it was only 1.5 hours since my order. Delivery service is only good for cold, stale pizza.

Always get great service and great food here I got the meat lovers Panzo with chilli as my sauce it was so so good.

So went today and had their personal pizza with Pino sticks. Firstly the Pino sticks was good they had flavor. As for the pizza it was falling apart and the sauce wasnt all that. Overall its not a bad place and for the price I think its a bit too expensive and should be considered for future patrons.

The fact that they have old history on their wall as soon as you enter in- you re hit with that homely pizza aroma and it also looks retro. Loved the guy!! Awesome pizza

Called in an order for pickup from here last week for the family and had a good experience. Friendly staff, very tasty, although a little pricey for just pizzas Decided to call in 2 pizzas for pickup for my staff a few days later, was told it was going to be ready in 45 minutes. I got there and the person I spoke with on the phone apparently didn t bother to take my order they put me in a tough spot for my teams lunch. Will never order from here again.

Amazing food, Pino always deliver on taste and service

I arrived at 4.45 pm, ordered my medium pino special. Others came in and they were served before me, strange. Some others came in and sat at the tables, some were served before me. Finally I was offered a pizza I hadnt ordered, more wait. Finally I got my medium pizza so I asked the owner ( Mike I think) why others were served before me. Dont know we are busy. My last issue is that the medium pizza I ordered was $17 plus on line but it cost $20 when I arrived, reason, we havent changed the web page yet I loved the pizza no doubt better than local but not going to buy again. BTW Mike, our social club ordered 8 pizzas from you last weekend, not going to happen again.

I have always supported Pizza Pino. Friday was a disappointment. Yes prices have gone up I know but a 15% increase in prices is too much. Our pizza wasnt its norm it was grainy. My Wife who wanted it ordered actually scrapped the ingredients off. They couldnt even cut it right as half had black olives, they cut it so 2 slices had half olives? I am not taking another chance on a $34 medium pizza. Bye PP!

This place has been a staple for me and my lady for many years hands down one of the greatest pizza places on the planet !!!! But things always have to change I dont know why people always mess with a good thing but they changed there sauce !!!! Holy Cow Man !!! We have a major debate at my house 3 kids against there traditional pizza parents !!! Its always suggested to call ahead because this place is no secret there the best and always busy . And they only got 4 stars cause I did the review and Im on the side that doesnt like the change of the sauce . But my kids still give it 5 stars !!!! Hope you enjoy as much as we do !!! Best Pizza in GTA!

Miguel was great to talk with and he gave me some good advice. I tried a medium pizza with halal pepperoni, pineapple and jalapeno with the pepperoni on top. I also got an extra small veggie pizza with black and green olives, mushroom and green peppers. Everything was delicious. The crust was thick and crispy without being heavy or oily. The tomato sauce tasted flavourful. The cheese was delicious and not too much or too little. The toppings were fresh. I will definitely go back and introduce Pizza Pino to my family.

What a cozy little pizzeria! With a group of six, we were able to try quite a few different pizzas. These are Montreal style pizzas, meaning the toppings are hidden under a mountain of delicious cheese. There was a boatload of fresh, flavorful toppings on each pizza. The owner Miguel, was an absolute pleasure to converse with. He has such a passion for food and wants his customers to be satisfied. Our group had the Two Cheese Garlic Pizza, The Pino Special, Veggie Pizza, Cheese, Halal Pepperoni, Meat Lovers and Spivak Special. While all were delicious, the Spivak stole my heart. Instead of Tomato Sauce, this has a garlic base with pepperoni, bacon, ground beef and pineapple! Yum. If youre looking for a different style of pizza, made by a father and son team who are passionate about their food and customers, Do give them a try. I loved that there were meat options, veggie options, as well as halal chicken and beef options. Something for everyone. Ill definitely be back -Keri

My son only eats their Calzones. They are always fast and serve with a smile.

We chose this place because of the reviews. But that didnt work. Pepperoni and Ham pizza was bland, boring and had no flavour whatsoever. Carelessly prepared, tomato sauce and cheese only in the middle. Pepperoni pieces, some slices had 5, others only 2. No pride in preparing. We will move on.

Ive been going to Pizza Pino s for about 10 years now and I ve never had one bad experience. The food and service is always great and you never leave hungry or unhappy with the service. My waiter today was Justin, he was very friendly and made the experience even better. Definitely recommend trying Pizza Pino s.

This used to be my local pizza place but Ive since moved out of Ajax. That doesnt mean I have stopped making the journey here! The monster calzone never disappoints but any pizza is the best youll have. No sense in going to a chain if you can get here! So much cheese and so many toppings! Great staff and love the old school decor. Pro tip: call ahead and then take your pie/calzone down to the lakeshore on a nice day!

I have been here a few times with family that lives in the area. I have never once had a bad experience here with the food or service. My cousins and I came from Scarborough just to get pizza. We ordered the cauliflower crust and it was amazing! This place never disappoints with the food here. The sauce is rich and delicious and the staff are super friendly. I recommend this place to anyone in the area, driving by on a trip or even looking for a new pizza place.

The place is a GEM. Pure and beyond excellent in every point of view. First of all the best costumer service Ive ever had in my entire life. She is the kindest and most patient waitress Ive ever seen. Just excellent. Second is the food. OMG the pizza and the size with those prices, you can easily compare it to the famous pizzeria in toronto and see how far behind are they. Spend 1 hour drive to this beautiful city and place and see it yourself. Masterpiece. Everything is great in there all the food. Everybody happy with it. The XL pizzas are huge. Salads are delicious the pizza dough the crust the amount of cheese the ingredients all perfect. PS: A year later, and I had the pleasure of revisiting my all-time favorite pizza joint in the country, Pizza Pino. This time, I ordered my usual half meat lover, half pesto XL, and I must say, this place keeps getting better with each visit. Dining in at Pizza Pino is an absolute must. The decoration and design of the place create an atmosphere thats among the best Ive experienced. Its the perfect setting for enjoying some incredible pizza. What sets Pizza Pino apart, though, is the exceptional customer service and the genuinely friendly people who work there. In all my dining experiences, Ive never encountered staff this nice and attentive. Its no wonder I couldnt resist writing another review for this place. Im absolutely obsessed with Pizza Pino, and I cant wait for my next visit. Its a true gem when it comes to great pizza and a fantastic dining experience.

Had the pleasure of actually stopping in to take out our own pizza tonight - Pizza Pino is my FAVOURITE pizza place in Durham, and perhaps all of the GTA. My fiancé normally gets the Donny (a mix of bbq and ranch with grilled chicken), and i get a standard cheese, but, instead of tomato sauce, garlic sauce. It tastes just like traditional garlic fingers from the east coast and is just incredible. Give this place a shot, it is money well spent and you ll be satisfied no matter what.

Tried the meatball sub. Its a very good sub. Bread is tasty and thick, meatballs are fresh, and the sauce is garlicky. Excited to come back and try more on their menu.

Best Montreal style pizza in the GTA!!! Little hole in the wall, a must visit!!! Pizza was cooked to perfection, had great flavour and fresh ingredients. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Look at the photo mang thats an XL! Pizza so huge and heavy its a OHSA violation that they didnt get a forklift to put it in my car. Only thing better than the pie was the world class service. Dude who served me was the friendly person Ive ever met. Funky interior too. Loved the habanero dip, absolutely be making a return to this place 10 outta 10!

It s all about the Pizza . The pizza is pretty good, they have a variety of toppings and selection. On this day, I happened to get the Garlic Special which was okay. The dough they use is quite thick, so if thin crust is your thang you may not like this place. You can also dine-in. The decor is caught in the 80 s but it works. Service was excellent, very friendly staff.

Just wow! Amazing, yummy...I couldnt finish the small lol If you love pizza, try this place. I will be back :) I asked for a fork and the awesome guy brought me a place, knife and fork! I needed the knife lol pizza and pepperoni for days...

Best Pizza ever. I had many pizza from New York to Toronto. I try all the big franchises and by far this is the best pizza by far you dont worry about the cheese its so much and the toppings are fresh and the staff are very friendly. I wish they had a location in Toronto but I will drive to have great food everytime.

Came here with my husband and friends from out of town. The food was incredible and just a relaxed little place. Doesnt have all the bells and whistles of other places but the food is what matters and was great. We shared 3 pizzas, a panzorotti, and a Caesar salad. The prices were fair and we had a wonderful time.

I really do not understand what happened to this place. I have ordered from here for years and it seems that with in the past 2 years it has gone down hill. First they won t let you order your own pizza. Then the last time i ordered their spaghetti and meatballs, which use to be the absolute best in town, they were so dry and hard you couldn t eat them. Then the sauce tasted burnt on top of all of that. They have forgot items and it has been so inconsistent with all of the food. I really just don t get it, a beloved family pizza place that just wasted away.

Jimmy cricket this is some of the best pizza ever. The one with ranch dressing is so delicious I had a difficult time not eating the whole thing myself.
