This pub might seem old school and not the best place at first but it has gave me the best experiences with their food and draft beers. Im not very talkative in food places but in here the vibe gets me into warm conversations everytime somehow

Visited here a few times, its generally very good service, once the poor waitress / server had to serve everyone by herself at lunch time . Must have been sick calls. She did great. Food is good , they have specials. Beer is great with good options.. And they have an enlarged Patio .Worth a visit for some good Pub food. Great Ambiance

Came for the food. Thoroughly regret it. The wings were dry, uninspired and tasteless. The fries were bad (how do you mess up fries?). The portion was small (thank God) the pop was flat (both flavours brought to me after complaining initially). Our waiter did her best, I think. 1/10 would not eat here again and I wish time travel existed.

We are very impressed with the friendliness of this bar. It s a down home feeling. Super cozy and even through we were new we were made to feel like family right from the gate. The food is superb and delicious. The server and bartenders know the menu start to finish and even made recommendations to us as to what is specials of the day. We will be back. Thank you Vegetarian options: Great assortment of salads and veggie options. Parking: Plenty of space. Huge parking lot. It s a plaza. Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and ramp to enter premises is excellent.

This is my favourite pub in Ajax. The atmosphere is old-school, warm and friendly. The food is not only delicious, but extremely well priced, and portion size is excellent. Small business owners are the foundation of our neighbourhood and need to be supported. Don t forget to pay cash and bon appétit!

The beef dip was tough this time! Ive had it many times and it was perfect. I will still be back. Parking: The accessible parking is too small and not accessible at all when there is snow on the ground. The curbs block wheelchair access to the walkway.

Always a great experience. We have been coming to Magwyers Pub for years. Tonight I had the Haddock and shrimp with lemon and cracked pepper served with steam seasonal veggies and amazing mashed potatoes. It was so delicious! The fish and chips special was amazing too. The wings are always the best. Kat our server, was up front about a possible delay in the food service but there was no delay. It was busy as usual. Best place in Ajax for casual pub fare and great ambience. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options available. Kid-friendliness: Great for kids of all ages!

I ordered the mushroom ravioli over the phone for pick up. The person on the line asked if I would like soup or salad. I stated I wasn t aware it came with that and asked if I could have a Caesar salad and it must have been extra without the person informing me because my nineteen dollar pasta came out to twenty-five dollars. Which would have been fine, had the portion size been reasonable, but the pasta was so small I was still starving after. I went inside to ask politely if they were certain I had received the full portion size and if there was a larger pasta I could order in the future. The person working informed me that other pastas were larger as the ravioli is richer and that I had received the correct size. Very disappointed with the size. The flavour was excellent. Not worth the money though.

Ordering in or getting take out, the food is excellent. Prices and portions are fair, and not over priced. We love the Texas Club & the Stuffed Yorkie! Staff is great and the atmosphere is nice. Highly recommend Mags. We go at least once a week. Cheers!

Very busy, only had 3 people serving tables... food was average. I had nachos and they but lettuce on top that looked like it belonged in a salad..

Interesting pub/restaurant. Twenty of my old school friends had a get together here. The pub was very accommodating and set up a separate area for us to eat, meet, and greet in. The Server was friendly, attentive and fast. We all enjoyed the food buffet they set in for us. We thank you for your hospitality and we will be back.

Went for wings after baseball and had the Maggs Montreal so good and the service was excellent

Stopped in for a beer and a bite. Had Harp and ordered the meatloaf which was made in house according to the menu. Meatloaf looked great tasted even better, also a huge plate. The bartender served me he was busy but attentive and friendly. If Im in the area again Ill be back.

Overall, below average experience. For the food, i ate one of their burgers. it didnt taste bad but it was nothing special. For appetizer, my wife and I had their baked brie. It was a little weird and would not recommend. The waitress we had was very nice, but needed to come around more often to attend to our needs. I understand she was probably busy serving other tables, but when you dont even see her passing by for 10 minutes it gets a little bit frustrating.

We had a great experience at Magwyers. From calling to make a reservation to being served, Lola was top notch. We were greeted warmly and special accommodations were not a problem for my mother who has to have her food pureed. They made her feel welcome and every need she had was catered to. The food was agreat and we will be back for sure. And they have Harp on tap. Nobody has Harp on tap! Great job guys!

Fabulous service. The portion was huge. I ordered the ribs. They were so tender. They melted in my mouth. The fries were perfect. The Greek salad was fresh, crispy and huge.

Went there for the Super Bowl. Enjoyed the spinach dip, accompanied with tortilla and pita chips and fries with gravy. The server was friendly and very attentive even when it appeared she was the only one working the tables. Loved the old English pub vibe.

Had the Yorkie Pudding (never had a savory pudding before). It was a tasty adventure. Table-waiting was a proper balance of privacy and service (they wont bother you too much, but they wont abandon you), and the washrooms were pretty clean too. The atmosphere was hyped up as well.

Chicken pot pie is amazing

I ve been going here for over 10 years and it is my favourite place to eat! Prices are great and the food is incredible! Try the Cajun Wet wings and Montreal style wings, it ll be one of the best you ll ever have! All of the food is delicious here, I also recommend the stuffed yorkie!

Great quiet place,. Food was great, service was awesome. But prices was a little high but the quality was great and will worth it. The wings are amazing. The burgers are delicious, and crack fries was super good. Nothing to complain. The beer selection could be better but its still acceptable.

I love this place and couldn t wait to go back! They have a huge menu and everything I ve tried so far is amazing. The portions are big and all of their sauces I believe are made in-house. They have the best service out of anywhere I ve been to. All of the servers were friendly and attentive. Our server (I think her name was Anna Banana) was very knowledgeable with the menu and gave great suggestions. After we ate, she got our plates off of the table immediately after we were finished. We got the beef dip, fish and sweet potato fries, and the big red sandwich. Everything was fresh and tasty. The only downside is that we did not have any leftovers to take home :)

The subervisor of the waitresses is rude. Not my problem as a client if you have to void a receipt for whatever reason. Your job is to ensure a great experience for the clients. Be civil and polite. But she was the opposite.

Ok. I had this place on my bucket list to try.... I can say, it shouldnt have been. The establishment was very unique to the pub style experience. However, I ordered there Jumbalia meal. We, all know Jumbaliaright. They dont, I was completely disgusted with this meal. I should have stuck to the plain old sandwich...Due to the fact, I was hungry and swallowed!! I can say that,many other pubs around and this one isnt it for me..Good luck folks.

A pub with the atmosphere of Dave and Busters before 8pm. Food excellent.

Its such a treat going to Magners. It is always a hard decision on picking from the menu. It is not your usual menu. One waitress has been working there for a long time. That shows me that they are treat there staff well.

Hannah was the best, she was very attentive and punctual with our needs and we will definitely visit again.

The Chicken Carbonera is outstanding! Its a large portion, and you might think you will eat half now and save half for later. Good luck. Its too good to not eat all at once. You might even crave a second one, but youll be too full.

Service is fast and friendly the only thing that beats the service is to the food.

Food was excellent. Surprisingly busy on a Thursday night, but the service didnt suffer because of it. Waitress was very pleasant and made the evening experience that more enjoyable. Had a great time. Will go again.
