Lazeez Shawarma in Ajax

The owner and staff are wonderful people. Very accomodating and patient. I went with my wife and kids to eat in and they made the experience more than just eating food. I ordered their Chicken on the rocks (on rice regular spice) for the wife and kids and i got the Beef on the rocks (on fries and spicy). Their portions were amazing definitely not disappointed! They also gifted my kids with a sweet treat. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and looking forward to returning soon. Vegetarian options: They have falafel platter and on the Rocks i.e Rice or fries. Thier fries are good too. Dietary restrictions: 100% Halal Kid-friendliness: They are super kid friendly! They were so genuine, kind and generous. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, they are located on the main floor so easy wheelchair access.

Ordered chicken on rocks, it turned out to be the worst dish i ever had. Half boiled rice with super dry chicken with no flavor. Never buying from here again

Portion is very small compared to osmows. I ordered chicken on the rocks. Same price as osmows but they dont fill the box up like osmows does. Disappointed

I ordered for lazeez on the rocks on buy 1 get 1 offer, but ended up paying for 2, and realised it when I reached home. Moreover the quantity was way too less.It was almost a small size although had ordered medium.

If you enjoy eating cartilage fat and Bone or in other words if you like food thats suitable for a dog then the chicken shawarma served here is perfect for you. The chicken was absolutely disgusting. The quality of chicken served was extremely poor. I dont think Ill ever be returning and I hope I can save people from a horrible experience and wasting money by writing this review. I dont enjoy writing bad reviews but honestly it seems as if this company has zero regard to the quality of food so long as it pays the bills. I would hope the owner reads this and takes it seriously. Shameful.

Tried the Chicken on the Rocks for the first time at this specific location. Ratio of chicken to rice was 2:1 - would ve preferred equal amount of rice or less chicken. Most chicken had pieces of skin on and chewing was hard. Would try again in the future but hopefully this review helps!

Where to begin? Lazeez Ajax has been a staple in ajax for many years, but recently its become almost inedible. I only come here now when on my lunch break because it is close, and every time Im disappointed. Without fail, each time I order a wrap without peppers, the peppers still somehow end up in there. I ordered on the phone for ease of pickup and just knew they would mess it up. Store smells like south Asian food mixed with must - there are tables all around the counters as if the pandemic is still happening. Chicken is dry and unappetizing. I am so glad new shawarma places continue to open all around Ajax, these guys really need to fix up because its honestly embarrassing to call the food they serve shawarma.

Where do I begin As someone who eats shawarma often this place left me wanting more. Sauce not very good, chicken is almost un seasoned. Rice seemed old, hard, and no flavour. Lots of cartilage in the chicken, which could be excused if it actually tasted good. Won t be back.

The greek salad, potatoes and philly cheese chicken is so good. They dont skimp out on sauces in comparison to other shawarama places. They are always quick and food is so filling. - this was an old comment when the place was owned by the older gentlemen and the woman who used to work there. I dont know what happened to this place, there are like younger guys working there and Ive given them many chances thinking it was a one off but no, I guess they hired new younger ppl, the cost increased dramatically and they skimp you out on everything from the meat to the salad. The salad is old and withered away. My rice had so much liquid because they didnt drain the juice from the potatoes, it was like a soup consistency. I usually never finish my food but when I came to pick it up, it looked like it was already half eaten since they barely gave you anything. The quality went down dramatically and the price skyrocketed.I will not be going back here and it is unfortunate because this used to be one of the few places in Ajax for shawarma plates that I enjoy.

The best on the rocks (chicken and fries) I ve ever had! (Only thing I ve tried from them) Fries were hot and chicken wasn t chewy! Highly recommend! This will be my new addition

I recently visited Lazeez Ajax and tried their chicken breast wrap and veggie steak, and I was thoroughly impressed. Overpriced for average food. Their regular shawarma is half the size of what youd get at Osmows or Tahinis.

Ordered through Uber eats. Description says comes with garlic sauce and tahini in the description so we didn t select them again under sauces thinking it would be extra saucy and received absolutely no sauce. Terrible. Meat was so dry. Used to be so good and we are regular customers. Need to find another shawarma place. Not to mention our Uber delivery driver was waiting over 20 mins to pick up our food and messaged us while he waited. Prices have also gone up considerably. Hopefully they will update their description of their wraps on Uber and remove the sauces in the description of every wrap.

I just ordered 2 regular chicken with the rice. Today was the worst experience ever! the rice was mushy, i feel like eating water rice with sauce, very disgusting at the end. I visit this store every week, and today was the worst experience ever. It is a simple cooked rice, and if you cant make the rice right!? i dont know what else to say. I am hoping this store will improve.

I ordered the mix Shwarma. And it tasted very good. Some people argue about the size of the wrap. I can understand that. But I enjoyed it and Was filling.

This place has gotten much worst. Used to be great but the quality has been on a huge decline. We got a few poutines and it had a spoon drop of gravy. Questioned them and the associate takes it in and instead of adding gravy adds a bunch of garlic sauce and drizzles a bit of gravy on top. Added an insane amount of sauce to the point that it was basically unbeatable. Last time going here. Don t recommend at all.

What a shame! I ordered beef on rocks and was in a hurry for Iftari instead they filled with some cheap sausages. Paid $15+ for pure beef. This is a complete scam. They didnt tell me about this before taking the order.

***DINERS BEWARE!!!*** Little suace does not mean make a soup of the sauce, chicken and rice. Cannot eat this SOUP! It is for this reason that I now HATE eating here based on my dinner take out on April 12th. They do not listen when i asked for very little sauce please. LISTEN to your customers as you just turned me off from your establishment.

It seems there s been a change in management. My recent visits have been underwhelming, to say the least. The rice seemed diluted with starchy water, the salad was barely filled, and the chicken portions were meager. Given the cost, the quality and quantity of the food were simply unacceptable. It s unfortunate, but I can no longer patronize what was once my favorite spot.

Just picked up Chicken Shwarma. Asked for mild heat, and mouth is on FIRE. Funny, because food is super cold. Called in to advise and was told, well, uh, sorry.

This place used to be good but went downhill recently. Whenever I go to the restaurant pick-up, guys working there treat like theyre doing you a favor. They sometimes ignore youre there even though they notice it. I had to wait for long time and my order was ready right there and no one bothered to ask me if I wanted to order or picking up. They missed order notes about spice level and toppings. They really need to hire staff who understand order notes and customer service.

Inedible, poor service, and not allergy-friendly Ordered falafel on the rocks and couldn t eat it because the food was bitter. Spoke to the manager and she said that normally they put less tahini, but since we didn t want garlic sauce and that s why it s bitter, which makes me wonder why they re making bitter tahini in the first place. What kind of restaurant adds other sauces to mask other flavours? The falafel was also too dry. Instead of fixing our order, no resolution was provided.

This location has been declining in quality and service. The food has no consistency anymore. It s always a hit or miss. The service is terrible, the staff seem like they do not like what they are doing and it reflects on the overall experience. When it s made right its great but its always a gamble.

Cost isnt worth the food. They are supposed to be shawarma wraps. But... here is where the lazeez shawarma employees do their magic trick. The shawarma aka the meat in the wrap becomes almost non-existent by the time you open to eat it. Simply ruined the appetite!

They serve old chicken that they store in the warmer box and it tastes so bad , never again

Tried it for the first time after hearing good things and was very disappointed... The food was cold, not even warm and halfway into my meal, I discovered a hair. Extremely disappointed and disgusted will not be back.

Ordered a chicken shawarma wrap (hot) and beef shawarma on sticks (hot). The wrap was ok but there was no hot sauce. The beef shawarma on sticks (see pic), had no sauce whatsoever. So disappointed. I ordered around 11 pm, so unable to bring it back to them. It is midnight now. Paid $32. SO ANNOYED. Will never GO BACK. 0 stars. Food

The hot sauce is not 1% hot. Its a sweet sauce in red colour or maybe they were serving tomato ketchup. The staff is very nice but the food is not good as compare to other lazeez shawarma

This place has zero customer service , lady by name Aman ,who knew nothing like zero behaved so bad, was so rude and bad in customer service. Will never come to this restaurant and will suggest friends and family not to come.

This place is taking extra charges for Lentil Rice in a platter, while other places does not. They also took extra charges for extra Garlic sauce, and which is clearly written in menu, no extra charges.

I have been a regular at Lazeez shawerma but this was the first time at Ajax branch - the food was definitely not upto the standard especially their chicken seemed dry and old , the restaurant seemed dirty and staff was unpleasant, especially the guy at the counter , I believe he is the owner. Anyways, not going again - not worth the money.

The chicken is old and stale I don t know why it s not served fresh from the grill as it s supposed to, the staff was not willing to compensate for a return or fresh plate, do not recommend this place

I ordered a chicken cheese wrap large, whole wrap had minimum quantity of chicken and was full of veggies, when I complained about it the rep said it was probably a lot of toppings but I feel it was not up to the mark at all. I think Larosh next door is a lot better.

So I came here last night for a beef Shawarma and they gave me chicken instead :( I was so sad, the funny thing was he told me heres your beef Shawarma when he gave it to me.... I wanted to drive back but I already took a bite and it was about to close and I live not that close. I was sad because this was supposed to be the first time I ever have a beef Shawarma in my entire life (Im Arab) so this was something I was looking forward to. Very bad service, I will never come here again unless Im starving. And even then Ill consider somewhere else.

I had their chicken shawarma plate. Taste was good but I found they skimped on the meat. Very small chunks of chicken and not alot. For $16.50 plus tax I did not think it was good value. Mostly rice.

Quality has gone downhill this year. The value isnt there, and I will be searching for replacements for my chicken on the rocks fix.

Ordered a large chicken on the sticks. I come here often. Today, there was very little garlic sauce on my food. Half way through eating I had no more garlic sauce so I went back in to ask for more. I was asked to pay extra even after explaining I barely got any on my food. I won t come here again. A few extra squirts shouldn t be extra for customer, especially if I receive little to begin with. Just lost a regular customer.

Tonight was the first time my husband and I tried chicken shawarma wrap and it was absolutely delicious, very juicy, lots of chicken and just the right amount of spice its definitely gonna be one of our go to meal I would highly recommend this.

I keep giving this branch a chance because it s close and convenient but I am sick and tired of their horrible shwarmas. Initially they were okay but the falafel and the chicken shwarmas are horrible actually can t even get them down my throat. Soon as you touch it, it breaks apart so clearly not using quality pita bread or some decent tasting chicken. Also their spicy ones are so overly spicy like they purposely want to give you heartburn for the remaining day. Never again.

They posted advertisement about $5/each shawarma for Shawarma day and didnt mentioned any where thats its limit of 2shawarma/family. I have big family and went to place the order at Ajax location. Waited in line and got to know about this stupid limit. As I mentioned I have a big family and we will make sure to not give them any business because of this decisive marketing on Shawarma day! Got the chicken on the sticks. Food was ok, but the person taking orders was quite flustered and didnt honor the shawarma deal they were promoting for some people. Also the way they were handling the vegetables was a bit concerning.

The staff are not respectful and they are stereotype as one guy entered the store and stood up in the line then one of the staff pulled him out since he thought he is a delivery guy and once the guy informed the staff member that he is here to order the staff member looked surprised

I came in today and ordered 2 falafel on the rocks one extra spicy and one medium. Both had close to no sauce on it. After taking 2-3 bites, there was just rice and falafel left. This location definitely doesnt represent the lazeez brand well because Ive gone to other locations and have never had an issue with my food not having enough sauce.
