I ordered a BLT with fries and a side of gravy. The bread for the BLT was soggy and barely toasted. The fries were soggy, unseasoned and tasteless. Underwhelming at best. The gravy was good.

They have good daily deals. Ive tried most of them. The Monday hamburger deal if you dress it up like a whopper, is quite delicious. Its like a thicker meatier whopper. I always get deep fried home fries instead of their regular fries cuz I dont like their fries. The chicken on a pita is also very delicious and good amount of white breast meat and is a healthy choice. Chicken wings are so so not really my fav. Food is prepared quickly.

South Lake Grill was amazing from the atmosphere, to the food and of course the service. They accommodated a large reservation on a Sunday (one of their busiest days). We were seated in the back room, it was quiet and the food was delicious!

I will stop coming here because the owner keeps upping the price of a fountain drink and he now charges a ridiculous $4.99 for it.

We all had the classic breakfast. Good value and large portions.

We chose this place to host a brunch for 20 people on Boxing Day 2022 to celebrate our son getting engaged over Christmas. We couldve gone anywhere else but Sam the owner was charming when we met him 2 weeks prior to reserve. We asked if we could bring in champagne to toast the newly engaged and he said no. However he offered to bring it in for us. The champagne was $15.95 at the LCBO, and when the bill came he charged us $40 for each bottle. Thats a 150% markup. When I asked for him before paying the bill, we were told he was out. I called twice to discuss this with him, I had to leave a message both times that were not returned. Sam is a CROOK. Dont go there and dont ever ask him to bring anything in for you. Just a plain awful crooked move on his behalf.

I used to love this place when they opened up. The food was great ect. Now Im not sure if the cook has changed ect. But my usual order has gone down hill. The portion size is smaller and the quality is definitely different and lower. Sad as they were a fave of mine

Ordered a burger and sweet potato fries. The burger was dry, the bun was hard in some areas, bacon was rock-hard. The whole thing felt like it was microwaved to keep warm. The fries were cold and soggy. Will not return Food

Every time we go there we get great service. Great coffee refills and the food is delicious! So far Ive thoroughly enjoyed every meal I have tried, mostly breakfasts. Cant wait to try more.

Very disappointing experience. Service was very spotty and slow. Other tables that came in after us were served first. Appetizer was received 3 mins before main meals. Meals were not tasty and portions were small. Food delivery pick up drivers constantly in and out of the doors walking by the tables. Not a nice atmosphere. Will not return or order from again.

Friendly service, food is amazing and huge portions, always doggy bag half the meal and a nice place to eat. And its very clean! Highly recommend the sizzling fajitas and the home made burgers, 1/2 pound of beef!

Waitress was amazing however food wasnt, The fries were not cooked the grilled cheese was greasy, the Hallandaise sauce tastes like butter. The omelette was good though.

This was my first visit to this restaurant I was greeted by a friendly server. She made a fresh pot of coffee for me I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap and sweet potato soup . Everything tasted delicious. I will return to this restaurant . I will recommend you to my friends

Well we have ordered alot here normally food and service were ok. Yesterday ordered online took over 45 min to get my meals and salmon wasnt cooked thoroughly. Sad they dont pay attention. 2 others came in ordered and got food whilst I waited for my online order.....off the list of recommended places. Suggestion....Cook your food and pay attention to online orders.

First time here. Friendly staff, great value for your money. Will definitely keep this place in mind for when we go out to eat again...also every table had hand sanitizer on it

My husband and I went for the first time on Sunday May 1st and I have to say the food was fantastic and so much of it lol although it was very busy our server Simone was on top of it all and gave us great service.

Horrible experience with uber long wait times disrupted by takeout delivery drivers lined up out the front door and streaming by your table the whole time. Owner prioritizes Food delivery over in-person dining and pulling menu items due to kitchen being backed up filling 40 delivery orders said the wait staff who seemed conflicted by the situation. Utterly disappointing Mother s Day meal.

Great food, good prices. We went on Fathers Day for our first time ever visiting and were not disappointed. It had been over 2 years since we went out for brunch. While it was super busy and every table was occupied, everyone did an amazing job with taking orders and getting the food out (while still hot) with great timing. Will definitely visit again!!!!

After reading so many positive reviews on FB about South Lake.. I had to try it out. I had the goat cheese chicken wrap and it was awesome, my friend had the roast beef au jus which was also delicious! Food was hot, large portion, and prices are great! Servers Wendy and Rachel were excellent. Food was served piping hot. I will definitely be back!

Went for lunch after a hospital visit because it was close and seemed well recommended. The menu was quite extensive (more about this later) with a wide variety of breakfast-lunch-dinner items suitable for all ages of patrons. We started simple, just trying a BLT and a beef wrap with coffee. Maybe because it was a Saturday or maybe they (like many) are short staffed, but that simple order took a very long time arriving compared to other similar establishments that we have visited. We the food did arrive, there was nothing particularly notable about it. It was the appropriate amount and it was presented fine, but there was no excitement about the taste. My wrap lacked the Southwest sauce promised in the menu, the home fries were not seasoned at all and my wife ended up picking her BLT apart looking for flavour. Very disappointing, We noted that there was an active clientele that seemed more satisfied than ourselves, so maybe it was just our particular selections that day. Perhaps they should cut down on the huge variety offered to elevate from a large mediocre menu, to a smaller more tasteful offering. Just my thought.

Whenever we have a meal at South Lake Grill it s been terrific! Whether it s eat in or takeout the food is plentiful and delicious.

Decent food at fair prices. Service inside is quite good but service on the patio is noticeably slower. Dietary restrictions: Im not celiac but often eat there with someone who is and there seems to be a good number of gluten free options.

Food was undercooked and made my girlfriend throw up. The lady is really really nice and understanding, however I spoke with a really rude guy over the phone who threatened me. Ill stick to blue rooster or Angeliques.

Some cooks werent wearing masks. -Waited for 15 minutes in the restaurant (arms reach) with at least 10 people who were also waiting in this tiny boxed off area -was staring at my order for 15 minutes tables away from me. -no apology and was very condescending. -When she gave me my food, the bag was cold. I asked for a refund and she said NO I went their to support local and instead i got shafted 30 bucks, no dinner, and basically went to a gathering ...will never be going there again

Been going to Lake Side Grill since it first opened. It opened just as I moved into the area. It was really nice to sit inside and the food was amazing at great prices. COVID then hit. They have adapted well to the pandemic. I try to order from them every two weeks or so to support local but also because the food is so good. My parents love this place and my son loves it to. In Covid times I have kept mainly to their burgers, sandwiches and all day breakfasts. I personally love their Triple Decker Chicken Club but I also love their Steak sandwiches.

Very tasty, and flavour and freshness is still preserved through take out. Price is better than all other Ajax breakfast spots

I ordered a toasted western with home fries. Very hot and delicious, coffee was ok. We were in a covered tent which made me uncomfortable because there werent any flaps open for ventilation. I was concerned about being exposed to possible variants being in a room like setting with just the doorway open. To be fair it rained earlier but had stopped and the ground was nearly dry, but I wont be back any time soon.

This was a new find for us. Wide variety on the menu, and everything we ordered was great, and very well portioned. We will support this restaurant in three future.

What a great restaurant find in Ajax! A clubhouse with real grilled chicken... (nothing pressed here), real cheddar cheese and just enough mayo ... and get the onion rings OMG! The Goat Cheese Chicken Wrap was also awesome along with the sweet potato fries .. the dip with them was also excellent (and I could eat it because it was not spicy hot) Waitress Lisa knows her stuff and I was impressed that she instantly recognized a regular customer - called him by name too! Great person to have serving you... cant wait to go back - with the size of the menu (something there for everyone) its going to take weeks of happy eating to get through !

Incredible burger . Ordered over the cell. But the cook took liberties and over salted and killed the fries. But I forgave. Next time I ordered 2 Cali chicken sandwiches. I chose ciabatta over wrap. And one order of fries. I distinctly told the ordertaker to not salt the fries. When I got home ,I had two wraps and 2 orders of fries. Wraps and fries were delicious. Point being,get your act together,South Lake. Otherwise,I would give you a five.

Just ordered Jalapeno Poppers for $10 and for the money you get almost nothing. Weve ordered so many times and usually the proportions are quite large but this order is super small + the Jalapeños are not even full ones. Other places provide full peppers 3 photos to show everyone. Other then this order its an excellent place most definitely..!

So after spending $95 on breakfast at South Lake Grill, we are deeply disappointed in the quality of food and 2 of us havent left the bathroom. Homefries were deep fried to the point they were hard and looked and tasted burnt, the hollandaise sauce tasted sour, we were missing the bacon and sausage for one big classic breakfast, and the french fries were cooked to cardboard. Considering its 6mins from our house our food wasnt even warm in foil containers. The 2 Benedicts breaksfasts looked like a tornado went through the container. And...the Benedicts are the two that havent left the washroom. So disgusted and disappointed, not by the quantity, but the quality. We have all left at least 1/2 of our meals uneaten. A family of 6 wont be supporting them anymore.

Really liked this restaurant until recently. New waitress does NOT wear her mask as directed in the guidelines . It begs the question How well does she wipe down the booths etc.? Just saying.
