I cant believe how small the portions are for the amount of money they charge for it. Very disappointed after spending close to $500.00 for pretty much nothing. Very disappointing. Pretty much highway robbery!

i can say we were the 1st to visit this place when it opened and yesterday marks the last time were eating in this place...their food serving used to be so good...we didnt mind the value because their portion was really fair...but in our last 2 dine ins (yesterday was the 2nd) jts very clear they are cost cutting...to the management, please dont play ignorant and think ur regular customers will not notice the small servings.. its us who supoorts local businesses like this in our city continue to grow...i wont be surprised if capt boil ajax suddenly call it quits in a few months...i think they are not doing well and has no choice but to cut their serving portion like this.

Good food but 5 shrimps for $22.00 it s unbelievable. I ve been to all locations and it s always been a pound of shrimp. When ordered, server forgot to mention it wasn t a pound anymore.

Great seafood boil place. Reasonable pricing for the amount your get (which is calculated by weight). Prepare to get messy as while they give you bibs and gloves, youll inevitably get other parts of your body dirty! Shrimp juice spray anyone?

The volume and quality of the seafood fried rice and appetisers has gone down a lot since I was last here 2 years ago. The seafood and sauces are still yummy, but overpriced now.

Visited captains boil today from bowmanville to pick up some food and I happened to see the owner so I explained to him the last 2 times big items were missing from my order and I paid for extra sauce and didn t get it and he didn t care. Today I ordered my items with extra sauce as I usually do which I paid $14 extra for. The owner then came out and handed my my order which was the dryest bag of captain boil I ve ever seen and he proceeded to tell me when you pay for extra sauce you only get 2oz. I then explained to him how much I paid and he told me that was the standard only 2oz extra. NEVER again they have lost a loyal customer as me and my family went to this place often . Terrible customer service

This place is always lacking behind. Employees fail to communicate with each other, and there is always something missing from the menu.

Found these peices in my food and almost swallowed it. I called Captain Boil and Initially wanted my money back. Lady on phone explained its not glass but its the shell of a clam. I told her I couldnt finish my meal because I didnt know if it was in the fried rice or the shrimp boil. She explained that I could back come and get a new MEAL. I was already far from the location and she said I could come back and get it any other day. Couple days go by, I called to get my meal the guy on the phone said Im only getting the shrimp boil. I told him no the lady on the phone told me my whole meal would be replaced. He just said no! After insisting he said the best he can do is half portion of rice. How does that make any sense?? These hard peices could have injured me very badly! They told me the MEAL (aka my entire order) i paid for would be replaced! I was very upset and definitely should have just came back the same day for my refund ! How do you make such a big mistake and you cant make things right!??? Very disappointed and will never go back!

The seafood was good and paired well with captain boil sauce. However, portions are small for two. Kid-friendliness: Its good for couples and families.

Ingredients you can pick from are great and the place is clean and open with nice comfy booths. The boils are hampered by a poor sauce, and poor execution. The sauce was powdery.

We went on a Friday, the restaurant was fairly empty. We needed to do our order via computer. When the server came while we were doing the order, he did not know what type of non-shellfish the fish was. We had to ask and pay separately for drinks, due to lack of personal service. There was a large portion of the chicken fingers and fries. One of the individuals had the captains meal and enjoyed it. Service was fast.

Came for dinner and was disappointed with the shrimp. It was not cleaned as it should. At the very end when we were going to pay with a visa gift card and balance with our card. The server went twice with our gift card and came back. First she said they don t accept these cards but she will try. Second time she tried for the full amount on the bill when there was $50 on the card. When we told her the card has $50 rest we will pay with another card. A different server came and gave an excuse the manager does not accept these cards and asked us if we ve used this card before. Of course we ve used this kind of card before. My question is if that was our only form of payment what were they going to do? Secondly there is no sign in the store that says only captain boil gift cards accepted. These prepaid visa gift cards are used everywhere. If the staff don t know anything about these cards, they should get some proper training. Such a disappointing dinner. Don t go to this location!

Staff are very friendly and fast. Always smiling and connecting with their customer. Parking: Parking is very spacious

I went in this sunday and ordered the boils it was delicious. As well as our server was fantastic shout out to her put us on a bomb playlist. but came back again recently and it was good but the potatoes was served to us cold.

Took my famliy here for dinner when it first opened and the food was great. Came today and was disappointed the food that comes in the bag wascold usually hot.My mother in law had pieces of paper towel mixed in her seafood.

We were seated quickly but that s where the service ended. We waited 20 minutes before someone came over to take our drink order. We waited at least another 15 minutes to get our drinks. Placed our food order and waited a while again. Two of us had the fish and chips and it was terrible. I m sure the fish came straight out of the freezer. I think I could buy better tasting fish at the grocery store. On the other hand my husband had the snow crabs and he said they were delicious. During our meal not one person came over to see if we were okay and if we needed anything.

The drinks are strong but the food is great

Always a good dining experience at The Captain s Boil. I tried the Sizzling Plate for the first time. The portion is very filling.

Seafood rice. If there is anything that you remember from my review it s the Captains Boil Seafood Rice. The Captains Boil Seafood Rice is amazing and my favourite thing to order. The food here is really good but the way it is served in bags is boring. I mean seriously they put it in a plastic bag and charge a fortune for it. If you re going to eat something get the seafood rice and go.

Noodles were oily - flavour and spice were tasty though. Speedy, friendly service. :)

This is one of the worst locations, this establishment is filled with young teens that have no clue what they are doing the food isn t tasty or handled well . I got crab legs with out sauce and you could see all the dirt and debris on the crab, it had crab leeches on it(they didn t clean the crab ) and the sauce I ordered on the side was extremely salty

Waited 30 minutes and didnt even get glanced at by the staff ended up leaving because nobody served us. Ridiculous

EDIT: whatever was in this meal made me throw up numerous times yesterday. There is no way this was made with real lobster. Disappointed in my trip here. I ordered take-out (lobster sandwiches) which came with Cajun fries. I have had a lot of lobster rolls in my life and I am almost certain that the sandwiches were not made with lobster it tasted like imitation crab or some other kind of mix. I didn t taste even a hint of lobster in this meal. Further, the fries had no Cajun seasoning on it. Everything lacked flavour, and meal was overpriced (totalling nearly $30). Not worth it.

Staff was amazing

Picked up my order, I have eaten Captain s Boil multiple times and have never received chicken slices this way. The chicken looked like scraps and the potato was hard. I called after reaching home and brought this to their attention and their reply was it must ve got broken up when it was tossed in the bag . I know the difference between tossed and scraps, like I said I have eaten Captain s boil multiple times. I paid my money for this meal, UNACCEPTABLE

Horrible experience, we had our drink served in a paper cut. Service was terrible, waitress took 30 mins to bring 3 drinks. Walked out, never coming back.

It was a great experience. The ambiance and staff is very welcoming and charming. Sydney was very accommodating and made us comfortable for our exciting and messy experience. Will definitely come back.

I enjoyed my time at this establishment, other than it being super cold inside, the food was good and cooked well! The service however could have been better, our server julia was so sweet but very timid and didnt check in on us during our meal. The other staff on duty however did a good job with engaging with our table. I would recommend this captain boil :)

I ordered mix and match and extra sauce. The shrimps were over cooked and I barely got ANY sauce .. after paying for extra sauce. My shrimp and mussels were dry it was very disappointing.

Super disappointed with this location, As you all know they get you most of the food in plastic bags (which is cool) but they were lacking in gravy and even after asking and being charged $1.50 or 2 there was still no gravy in the bag... told the server, who was very nice, but all she said was that other customers had also said that. So not happy, went to captain boils after a long while... super disappointed...

My husband and I come here to eat every 3-4 months and the food and service is excellent every time. One of the server s name is Kross and he is so kind, patient and helpful! Highly recommend eating here!

Honestly we really enjoyed our food and service right until the very end. The waitress was trying to flirt with my boyfriend, directly in front of me. They had worked the same business a year ago. She was asking if he noticed her and stuff. Instant turn off from wanting to come back. And no he didn t notice you lol

That capitan sauce is soooo delicious, I dont like spicy food, the black pepper taste very spicy to me, but the capitan sauce is very on point, perfect seasoning in it!

My family and I went to this location for dinner. We were seated almost immediately and then sat there waiting. 20 minutes in I had mentioned to my husband if we should leave, only then the girl who seated us peeked in and said a server will be with us soon. 10 more minutes passed and we were too hungry to sit and wait so we left and went to the location on Sheppard and McCowan. What a difference!! They were busier and the server was so sweet! We told them what happened only because we were hungry and wanted the food to come out fast and they offered us a free dessert. They were absolutely wonderful and apologetic for the Ajax location.

First time at this location. I didnt enjoy the food as much as I usually do; the seafood wasnt saucy enough and the sausage was overcooked but the shrimp was delicious. Where the food lacked the service made up for. The waitress was so helpful, and she did her best to make our visit a pleasant one. I gave this experience 4 stars. Although it wasnt perfect sometimes its the little things that makes a difference.

My family went to eat in Ajax and they where given plastic silverware and paper cups for their food and drinks. Everyone else in the restaurant had regular silverware. This is a seafood place proper silver would be required for certain foods. This limited my family and they felt embarrassed. They spent more then 200.00 dollars. They will never never ever go back.

Recently came in with my sister. Disappointing experience to say the least. We came in for 3pm for the lobster sliders and brussel sprouts. They said they had no mayo so couldnt make them...seriously? So then she ended up getting the lobster poutine i think it was but it was messy and not able to take home leftovers as they were covered in sauce. Also they had no brussel sprouts.. . I personally keep coming back for the seafood rice which is amazing but the server telling us that they didnt have when we kept asking for menu items that were not available..? Super sad and disappointing as its a bit of a drive for us. My sister sent an email to the company and never heard back. Not sure if we are coming again tbh.

Today we PRE ORDERED dinner at 4PM for a 730 PM pickup. The order was accepted, however the restaurant cancelled our order 20 minutes before we were to pick it up. Thankfully I saw the email, (not even a phone call) right before my partner left to pick it up. It seems they can t plan ahead for a pre orders by putting simply portions aside, and sold out of everything we had pre ordered. What a let down on Valentine s Day for a couple of new parents who were beyond excited for someone else to cook dinner. Thanks for nothing!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! My Girlfriend and I waited around 40 mins for our main entree to come and wasn t told anything about the wait. Once we got the main entree my girlfriend and I was given different portions yeah yeah my phone even though we ordered the same thing. Took us a while to get a hold of the waiter for the bill and once we did she gave us the wrong bill which was $70.00 more than what we ordered and the waiter mentioned that she saw the bill was wrong but still proceeded to give it to us and we had to wait even longer for her to come back and for us to tell her about the bill. Then another waiter came and started to put another order on our table which we didn t ask for while we were waiting for our bill. If we could give zero stars we would. Do not recommend whatsoever!

We decided to try this place for my sons birthday since he loves seafood. Well guess we should of looked into it a bit more. Food was served in a plastic bag which is different and given gloves to pull your food out and put on your plate. Lobster tail was tasty my sides were corn and potato and there s no condiments like sour cream, butter, salt or pepper. My son ordered the side rice it came in a styrofoam cup just a round blob of white rice no butter etc our drinks came in paper cups which is weird. All around consensus was pricey, messy and won t be back. Server was pleasant and food was served hot and pretty quick.

Celebrated father s 80th birthday! Party of 10, food came together in a reasonable amount of time and tasted great. Server was cheerful and provided great service. Kid-friendliness: Kid s menu and food were great.

If I could give Google zero stars for this place, I would! The service is terrible and not worth the high price. I asked for hot water, but the taste bleach. They plastic cups and lime were almost rotten. The table was so oily. Overall, the food was subpar and disappointing.

I came here yesterday night with a few of my friends and we were immediately greeted by a server the staff were very friendly throughout our whole visit. Everything on the menu looked and sounded amazing but we were very happy with what we chose!

I dont usually EVER leave reviews for restaurants but after my experience at Captains Boil, I only feel required to do so. First time coming to this restaurant and Im astonished at the welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Upon entering, despite clearly hectic and busy, my husband and I were immediately greeted by a smiling server who directed us to a booth. In spite of how busy the restaurant was, the server did not make my husband and I feel rushed at all and seemed genuinely interested in our conversations. The food was impeccable. While Im not much of a seafood girl (my husband dragged me here), there was no smell to the food and it was seasoned to perfection. Other servers dropped by the table to ensure all was well, which I appreciated very much! Compared to the taste of the food, I feel that the prices meet up pretty well to the food. Even well bloated and full, we ended up taking so many leftovers home! I genuinely believe Ive found my new favourite restaurant and we will definitely be returning again!

Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced. Sat for 45 mins before anyone came over to our table to take our order . Another 30 mins to get our drinks . When our food came out finally, they were missing our rice order. Our rice finally come out when we were just finishing up our broil. And they brought it out in a to go box lol. Like we wore out our welcome. Anywhere waitress said they were going to comp our rice , but didn t instead took a total of $8.00 off my $130 bill. My tip was bigger than the discount. I m absolutely appalled by this restaurant, I hope they enjoy my $118 because they will never ever see another penny from me .

Absolutly amazing! A taste and flavor that can not be duplicated.....trust me Ive tried. The spicing they use in the sizzler dishes is unreal! You gotta mix the rice and teriyaki sauce with the rest of the dish quickly to let it finishing cooking on the hot skillet to crisp the scrumptious delight up! ...... MMM! SO GOOD! And an order of cajun fries really tops it off!

Went here with a friend. Julia provided excellent customer service to us. Listened patiently and helped us with the menu. She took great care of us. The atmosphere is amiable. Its a little overpriced but overall a good experience thanks to Julia.

I am so sad to share this, I got very unprofessional experience from Captains Boil Ajax branch. I came to this brach very first time with my 3 kids at 08:09 pm. According to website they will close at 9pm. The manager informed me that they cant offer Dine in but they will give take out. Atleast they could have put proper working hours at the restaurant and website. I won t recommend any of my friends or family to this particular branch. I didnt expect very unprofessional behaviour from restaurant chain. By not informing clients in properly. Almost 10 walk-in clients didnt get accepted at the restaurant so far. Very rude response from the Restaurant.

Best place for seafood !

I taught not to put a review but, our entire family was in this store for food at 8.07pm . What kind of customer service is in this store are they here to sell the food to customers or no. I have seen more than 5 families getting out of this store as they were send out. Are the employees working there for the store owners or trying to get the clients out of the store. A huge disappointment guys. I saw a family with three or four kinds came to the store for food and they gently send them out. Feeling pathetic.

Poor quality, not tasty enough

The food was fine but the customer service was terrible. They had three servers on this day (Sunday April 23rd, 2023) at 6:51 pm. Each server ignored my mother and I (yes we know our server was busy) but the other two weren t (standing at the bar talking). We had to wait 10 minutes to receive our bill. The restaurant needs to work on their customer service skills.

Our server Julia was an absolute sweetheart. Weve never been here before and she took the time to explain the menu to us and gave us recommendations as well. Food was great and came quickly. The rice was a bit oily but other than that, everything was delicious. Our server dropped by a couple of times to make sure that all was well which we really appreciated! 10/10 recommended!

Food was good but I felt that it was a little lacking in sauce for the boil to be honest. Fried rice on the other hand was really good. However, the best part of our experience was our service. Warda made the entire experience great. She was very pleasant, attentive and gave exemplary customer service.

Made an order for today Mother s Day . Well didn t get what we ordered pound of shrimp was missing food was not good paid for extra sauce well didn t get that the crawfish was not seasoned at all . Man 2nd time in the last few months disappointed called 12 times they finally answered and then hung up. Never will I go to this location ever.

Unfortunately, I cannaot give the food or atmosphere a 0, that option doesnt exist. Our server Jeneka did an amazing job, attentative and apologetic for the lack of menu items that were not available to us. Shanné, was also very apologetic and was also upset for us. I would not recommend this location, the last thing you want to taste is Microwaved fish and rice. Extremely disappointed!!!!!

I was really excited for this restaurant, but was disappointed. The food is not tasty. There seems to be one flavor in all dishes and there is not much options for kids. That particular location closes at 9PM on Fridays; not very convenient.

We havent been in a while and from what we remembered it was amazing. Big portion lots of thick sauce (captains boils sauce) . This time around it was nothing like that. We got the lobster boil and the snow crab leg boil. The snow crab was amazing, lots of meat and great quality! But the sauce it was just the oil and there wasnt a lot, barely enough to cover the corn, potato and crab. The lobster was very very small and not much meat and not the best quality, for the $77 it was quite disappointing. We were so excited to come and celebrate my birthday but instead we left disappointed. The service also was not great... none of the empty dishes or cups were removed from the table and our server never came to check if the food was okay or not. It was slightly busy but we sat right by the bar/cash area so we were constantly being walked past. Very unfortunate because we were so excited to come back.

Arrived @8:30 this location is open until 9:30pm I was informed by the staff that the kitchen was closed. If this is the case you should be closed at 8:30.

Overall, my first and last visit to this place. Ive had better seafood for the price we paid. The server came once when we asked of our missing order. The washroom after eating seafood does not even have soap to wash your hands. The service was very slow even when was not busy.

The idea that you can not have fries instead of a baked potato goes against probably 99% of restraunts in the world. Usually the boiled potato is a premium. I would not support the idea of not getting the included potato which came out cool and pay extra for fries. I hate stupidity. This really is the ultimate. No need to return to this chain since I would have to be reminded of this stupidity. Storage is seen in hall and at rear of seating area. Light fixtures are very dirty. Meals are not exactly cheap and they serve drinks in paper cups? Shows absolutely No pride. Waiting for our meal while typing this. Hope at least it will be decent. Potato was actually cool in the centre. The shrimp was rather hard (probably frozen product) somewhat tough! At least our waitress showed care. No management on site. Around 330 on Saturday? Vegetarian options: No salads?

I had the Sizzling Seafood Plate and The Captains Fried Rice. The Sizzling Seafood Plate had 2 Crawfiash, 2 Clams, 2 Mussels, 2 Shrimp and a Choice of Fish or Chicken Teriaki. I chose the Fish (its like many pieces od Fish & Chip like Pieces, My server was Julia (She was Friendly, very patient to explain te menu, and Beautiful Filipina Girl 5/5 Stars for Service). Food was Delicious only preference is no Shrmp/Crawfish Heads to look at me while eating lol, The clams/musseled were individually marinated with garlic and onions (that was wow unexpected, cook was very detailed in making it taste good). Unbelievable Value for 15.99. The Captains Fried Rice is like Shrimp Fried Rice cooked in Garlic Butter (Wow, Very Yummy). I liked the Food and had Great Service from Julia, she must of refilled my Diet Coke 4-5 Times.

This is the worst restaurant I ve been to in my life for the price this place is trash. I Ordered a margarita I had to send it back at 1st taste. To say it was horrible is a understatement. They serve you drinks in a hot disposable cup no class at all. I ordered the crab legs and shrimp boil in Cajun sauce it tasted so bad I had to send it back they washed off the sauce and retuned the same set of crab legs saying it was redone with no sauce. The half egg that I took a bite of was still in the bags and the sauce was still obviously on the meat of the crab and the corn was still soaked in the sauce. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. 1st and last time here

The food was good. Not the best seafood I have had but in saying that they do a pretty good job. The captains boil spice has a bit of a kick but its tolerable. Stick with the garlic and lemon pepper if you do not like spicy. The prices were pretty good for being a seafood restaurant. 6 people shared the Pirates feast plus we added bacon wrapped scallops and garlic bread and it was perfect for our group. The service was excellent and the atmosphere and experience was incredible. I would definitely go back for the experience again Dietary restrictions: We had 3 in our group that had gluten allergies so we had to substitute more potatoes for the fries and of course they couldnt have the garlic bread.....but other than that everything else was gluten free.

Lynnea was our server and she was very kind and welcoming. She was attentive and brought out our order quickly. Thanks to her we had a great experience and will definitely be back again.

I feel like the quality of crab has gone down, its not the same as it was years ago. Especially for the price they charge.

Placed an online order. Was told it would be ready in an hour. Arrived at the store and had to wait over an hour because we ran out of rice finally got my order. The rice is over cooked. There s no spice or flavour. Don t know who s cooking in this store lately but worst service and food ever. And to top it off a lot of the items we ordered aren t even in the bag. Would never go back. The manager was not helpful at all. Tried to talk to her while waiting over an hour and she literally ran away and hid from the customers who were complaining.

I went in on my one day off as I wanted to treat myself, I was not disappointed. I was served by an incredible lady, her name was Eliza. She was incredibly kind and friendly! The food was amazing and I highly recommend their wings.

I havent had Captain Boil for few months. Went yesterday and was so disappointed. I remembered the finely chopped garlic and the flavor of the sauce was so tasty. I used to order rice to go because I think it tasted better the next day. Now the rice has no taste, the shrimp and mussels in the sauce was full of oil. Hardly any sauce. Non of us that ate the food enjoyed it. First time going to the Ajax location and will be my last for sure. Ill go back to my Scarborough location and if its changed to, then Ill be done with Captain Boil all together.

Wife and I love seafood and decided to give this chain a try. Atmosphere was pretty nice, pretty much a nautical/wharf theme as you would expect a seafood place to be like, and it was very clean inside. Our server was very friendly and helped us out with the way the menu is designed. Few different ways you can order their food, but we decided to go with the feast. Overall the food was really good and packed with all sorts of different flavours and spices! Very messy as it is an eat with your hands style meal! It s definitely on the expensive side though so be prepared to spend over $100. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp on the curbs. Restaurant is one floor, no deviations or stairs

I changing my review from 3 stars to 1. I placed an order for my usual mateys feast and lobster poutine. The website said it would take 1 hr before it is ready. I am still here 2 hrs later waiting for my order. They ran out of cooked rice is what I was told. I know they forgot to cook my whole order. I would not suggest coming here. Find a better restaurant.

This location was phenomenal. The food was exceptional and the service was great!! Lynnea welcomed us and provided excellent hospitality. Well definitely be returning with more family and friends. Thank you Captains Boil :)

Charged me over $25 for chicken wings and when I received it it was literally FIVE wings in a small container!!. I understand that this is a seafood place however if you do not want to sell chicken wings, dont sell it! $5 a wing plus $10 for a few french fries is outrageous.

Amazing Food, Large Portions, and So so tasty. Restaurant is very clean, Bathrooms are spotless, and our Server Jennica was amazing. Would highly recommend and definitely will be coming back again soon.

The Captains Boil was a great experience! Be prepared to pay market price for basically all the seafood options.

We visited the Ajax location. The place was basically empty but they were putting everyone side-by-side (despite covid numbers being high) Our table wasn t clean the both had old food dried out on it. The concept is fun but the food was not great and I ve been throwing up since a few hours after we left. I will not visit again.

Changing my rating from 5 to 3 as today I ordered and picked up takeout, and the food was undercooked, dry and no sauce...the onion rings are a joke...the fries were soggy....really disappointed and had to wait more than 45 mins to get that only one order of the Mayteys...

What a terrible experience! Weve brought great family friends that are visiting us from India where we were treated like kings. They were staying in Pickering and we chose the location in Ajax to take them. We usually go to the locations in Toronto, which were always amazing to us! Only three tables in the restaurant and even being almost empty, the service was really slow as the waitresses preferred to chat at the counter while our drinks always ran dry! Its a seafood place an they had no lobster, no clams, no calamari and a good portion of the sides! Why is this place open if you dont have almost half of your seafood menu? Weve ordered the Captains Feast, which is the most expensive combo by the way and we had to choose other items because they didnt have most of it. If we wanted a shrimp basket only, we wouldve gone to Popeyes! Extremely frustrating but we didnt want to make our guests uncomfortable, so we took what we could get and didnt have time to find another place. The waitress said that they were getting more stuff in about two days, why would you even say something like that? Thats really bad management! Service was still slow and the place was empty! The bill comes in and they stick a 15% service charge in there even though we were only 6 people, restaurants usually do that when a table has 10 or more, but we didnt notice the 15% service charge and tipped another 10% on top of that (to be honest, they didnt even deserve the 10%). Basically they got over $123.00 tip with the worst service possible and we didnt eat what we wanted. Not fair to the customer! I just want to mention that we only had problems at this location, the ones in Toronto, Etobicoke and area are great and well come back for sure! We were frustrated and we felt ripped out as well! Customers beware of this location!

Recently went out for Dinner at the Ajax location and boy oh boy! It was TERRIBLE. The food was not worth the price and the Captain boils sauce tasted very different from other locations. The drinks were mediocre and the vegetables were hard. This location needs new management and staffing as I have eaten here years ago and it has definitely downgraded in quality since then. Stick to the Toronto location.

Food was very very tasty. Had the Sailors option which included headless shrimp (medium heat with captain boil sauce), cajun fries and fried rice for $35.99. Very good deal and portion size was beyond what I expected. Omg everything was super tasty, cant stress that enough. My waitress, Katie was also very friendly and welcoming. I will be coming back!!

It was a alright experience! Food was decent but we love the good catch boil house in Markham better!

So-so experience, mostly due to the service though. One of our orders was incorrect, and another dish never arrived. We also realized after the meal that we were the only table not to receive any gloves for breaking down our lobster and shrimp, which is pretty messy work. The food was good, but not quite worth what is charged for it unless you get in on time for a special. There are probably better places to get seafood, but a unique experience for sure.

Went to this place for my wife s birthday. Food took a while to arrive. The french fries arrived the fastest and we ended up finishing them first as we waited for the main entrée. When the food arrived they were not hot and felt lukewarm. They also forgot the serving plates and we had to ask after a while. It was hard to get the waitresses attention. When we complained about the lukewarm food the waitress apologized and offered us 10% discount or re-make the food or warm them up. We refused her offer because we were already turned off and didn t want to wait any longer. I asked her if it is possible that someone forgot to serve the food right away and it was sitting around. I thought about this because earlier she forgot our serving plates and the cracker. We didn t finish the food and the waitress tried to give us free churros which we didn t take. After we left, we later realized that she did give us the 10% discount even though we declined it. We were super disappointed after paying $140+ and we received sub par quality food. I will not recommend the Ajax location to anyone else.

Love the Food but the service is TERRIBLE! It took us 30 mins to get our bill! My daughter is almost losing her mind. They gotta to do something about their service. Its just awful.

First up the wait to be seated was longer than expected. 2. Menu was a bit confusing since it was our first time dining there. However, our waitress was very helpful and friendly. She explained everything and made delicious recommendations. The food is pricey but delicious and portion sizes was a belly full. The fun part for me was wearing the bibs and eating with those sandwich gloves... digging in and getting messy

Waitress was awesome. It was our first time dining here, so she took the time to explain the choices. Food was delicious. A bit spicy, next time will definitely get mild. Rice and seafood was delicious.

What a terrible experience. Had to wait for 1 hour when I was initially told it would only take 20-25 minutes for my order. After 50 minutes, they said they were waiting on headless shrimp, 5 minutes later they come back with the order. A very nice server offers to compensate me with a $20 gift card. Where as the original server whom had taken the order tried to argue with me that she had apparently told me that they were busy which is no excuse as I shouldnt have to wait endlessly for my order nor should I have to come home with barely 6 pieces of shrimp in the captains boil bags and replaced with 3 pieces of potatoes. I dont think anyone orders Captains boil for potatoes. Absolutely disappointed!!!

Food was amazing but pricey! My family ordered the Captain s Feast ($310 before tax) which fed 6 of us and we had leftovers to take home. The experience was great, messy and fun! The only reason I am giving a 4 star review is because for a table of 5 or more guests, they automatically charge a 15% service fee but don t tell you and still prompt you for a tip. I recommend telling your customers this before they dine or pay.

The food is reasonably good but overpriced. So a few factors that brought down our experience , the kitchen service is awful My kids were made to wait with their kids meals way after my serving came , the sprite was off tasted like carbonated water , my soup only came at the end of the meal . The waitress was helpful and checked up on us from time to time . The kitchen service needs an upgrade . No excuses there was only 2 tables with no more than 7 people in the entire restaurant.

To begin, I only rated this location a 1 star because 0 was not an option. I placed a take out order 1 hour in advance requesting my order to be ready for 6pm. I arrived at 6pm only to find out that my order was ready at 5:24pm (sitting there for 40 mins). I was upset and requested a new order and was told that I would have to wait 40 mins. I said that was not acceptable because I specifically asked for my order to be ready for 6pm. When I requested a refund the manager that was there told me that I had to go through Ritual to get a refund. I ended up taking the order because I had a bad feeling about being able to get a refund from a third party and I was right. As soon as I got in my vehicle I tried to get a refund for the order but to no avail because there is no way to contact this third party. When I tried contacting them through the email I received for the order, it reply s to Captains Boil. Do t order from them unless you want cold food. Totally not worth the money to have to reheat the food at home. Definitely not ordering from them again!

Went for dinner here tonight for my birthday. I should of listened to my kids and went to the Mandarin instead. We walked in and were seated right away. There were quite a few customers inside but it was not overly busy. We sat at our table for at least 10 mins before a server approached us. I ordered the shrimp with sausage which is what I usually order when I go there. To my disappointment they had no sausage. This normally would not be a big deal but this is the second time at this location I have been told they have run out of sausages. The kids ordered some fruit beverages that were on the menu only to be told they were out of those as well. When we were finally served the waiter was very friendly. It looked like he was the only waiter working the whole dining room. It is disappointing when these establishments in attempt to save money do not have enough staff on hand resulting in a poor experience for the customers. I will likely not be attending this location again. Running out of items on the menu and slow service is not acceptable.

The food is really good. However the price is too high for what you are getting. We used to go there quite a bit pre covid. And the pricing was reasonable but now it s way to expensive.

I have been to locations across the gta and other provinces. BY FAR THIS LOCATION IS THE WORST. The seafood is always questionable and the boil sauce is consistently very thick and powdery. Other locations always on point.

Food was not the greatest. The young man who was our server was absolutely wonderful though...very patient, helpful and polite.

They don t answer their phones, I called multiple times for around 7:30-8 no answer.. I couldn t make reservations or order anything the location in Scarborough has a better base sauce then Ajax ,,,

The food was great . However the service was bad . I m not sure if this place is open to make money or what. There was one server on a busy Saturday night, And he was not pleasant. I believe it s the same in the kitchen because of the length of time it took to get our food. They were literally turning people away. As I m writing this review I m still waiting on my bill. Took 30 minutes for the poor guy to give me my bill. I ve been to North York & Scarborough and experienced extremely great service. The Ajax location really need to revisit their priorities. Very bad service, no staff very unproffesional no customer service skill, too expensive, will not be going back!

We ordered the lobster sliders, sizzling plate, and seafood fried rice. The food itself is okay. It s the service that needs improvement. We arrived right when the restaurant opened and were one of two tables occupied. It still took almost an hour for our food to arrive. Our server was nice but that doesn t make up for the long wait time. Only highlight about this place is their Spotify playlist.

First time trying Captains Boil and it was pretty good! The seafood was perfectly cooked, however a tad bit salty. Cajun fries are flavourful and really crispy. Seafood rice was tasty as well. Customer service was good, the waitress was very friendly. My family mentioned that it was my birthday and she gave me some free fish and chips since they ran out of churros. I d definitely come back here in the future!

For those who may be interested, I am not happy with this place, I have come on several occasions and the service and customer service is not good, you have to wait a long time for the attention of the clerks and in the process I have found hair, rest of snail in the food and on many occasions the food is already cold when they serve it to you, I think someone should take action on the matter. Had my husbands birthday there. Booked it a few weeks in advance. Party of 18. right of the bat service was absolutely terrible. We had to ask 40 minutes in to order drinks and to take out order. At least 50% of the party received orders messed up things missing /incomplete. Slow service. The server took my basket of food that I was eating and gave it to another person at our table when I wasnt paying attention. I asked the server did you just take my food away that Ive been eating and give it to another person at my table? He says yes Im sorry and picks it up to give it back to me . I was absolutely dumbfounded. It ruined my husbands birthday and Id never recommend this location/place to anyone. If u could rate 0 stars I would. Go elsewhere and have a better experience

I went here for my birthday celebration with a couple of friends. We enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the service. A little pricey but what you expect for a seafood restaurant. Location is very convenient to me. We order clams, shrimp mussels and crawfish and some vegetables in mild and Cajun sauce. It s sooo good! Totally forgot to take pictures as we devoured the food as soon as they served. Definitely will come back again.
