Based on the reviews of this location, I feel awful for the citizens of this country. I only went here because the ratings were 4.5, It's hard to find a good taco spot, especially anywhere in Durham region. The menu has not been updated and so the prices are old (Just a heads up if you weren't aware like myself). I got eight tacos (Two of each kind on the menu). I couldn't have been more wronged by a review ever. Where do we start , every single protein was overcooked, and believe me, I'm not a hard critique. We had eight tacos and we got two extremely tiny containers for our sauce (Verde and regular). I'm a food fanatic and a spice fanatic so I enjoy spicy foods in moderation. Both the red sauce and the green sauce were spicy. The red sauce was extremely spicy almost unenjoyable. I refuse to believe that they have different sauces because they didn't even ask me, I asked for all the toppings and I got onion and cilantro so I assume there's two toppings based on the service i was provided. People's ratings on this is what let me down. How have we come to such a low standard? Are people's pallets extremely unrefined In the Western countries? I've had tacos all over the world, I wasn't expecting much but I was not expecting such a shameful representation of tacos. Chewy hard meat. Extremely spicy sauce. All I wanted was some regular salsa if anyone bothered to ask. I did not enjoy the meal whatsoever and trust me it does not take a lot for me to enjoy a meal. If you are a real Mexican food enthusiast, like myself, do not go here. You will be very very very very disappointed. Also for all the people that thought this was a great place I feel extremely bad for you guys, You guys should leave the Durham region and see what type of places there are for Mexican food. Phenomenal places. Brother, I'm never coming back here again. Neither is my friend and neither is anyone that I know. The reason I'm giving one star overall is because food is my priority. The taste of the food is the most important part to me; then comes service, environment and location. The food itself was low quality. The guy was nice. No hard feelings, food was just disgusting. Thank God I didn't pour the sauce on all the tacos before I tried them Presentation of the food wasn't too bad. Once again, priority to me is the taste of the food.
Tacos were top notch! Some of the best in the east end. But... The service was hurting. They process orders 1 at a time, so from time of ordering it took 26 mins to get 6 tacos. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the brutally slow service. Speed up!!
Wanted to try this place out. Food truck is located in the Canadian Tire Store parking lot. If you want some Mexican tacos, this is the place to get it.
Food was a solid 8, pastor tacos were super good and they know how to pack their tacos. Great price for the value !!! Also posted a pic of their updated menu !! Enjoy :)

Difficult to judge Atmosphere, it’s a parking lot food truck. I grabbed three tacos for lunch. Beef, Pastor and Chorizo. Excellent flavour, simple toppings and flavourful sauces. Corn tortillas are so good. I will definitely be back. Thank you!!!
Great street tacos. Best in Durham. Simple. Full of flavour. Great hot sauces. (Seem fresh made) Out front of the Canadian Tire. Very very crushable tacos. Staff is always nice and happy to serve.
I've been eyeing this place for like a year now and decided to finally go. The service is quick, and the food was great. We tried the tacos, 1 chicken and 1 beef, and they were good. It's simple, and the corn tortillas were soft and not dry. I thought it was a bit overpriced for the amount of meat in it, but it was still good. The beef was more preferred over the chicken as well. The salsas that came with it were great, though. It had a solid amount of spice and elevated the tacos. I would order them again, simply because I dont know of any other solid taco spot in Ajax. I haven't had a food truck sausage in years, but I did today, and omg, it was amazing. We got the spicy Italian sausage with all the toppings, and it was to die for. They were generous with the toppings as well, which we loved. Only $7 too, and the portion is filling!!! I would 10000% come back just for the sausages, and I will definitely be trying the other ones as well. The tacos were good, but the sausages are what makes this food truck a great spot to go to.

The Barbacoa tavos were very delicious, only downfall was waiting 20+minutes to get our food outside in the cold.

They never grill my onions no matter how many times I ask and say to do so. It s either raw or not there.

By far the best tacos al Pastor I have had north of the border. Service is friendly and food is delicious. You know you are in the right spot for tacos with the latinos are stopping here and are repeat customers!!

My friend and I went to this place and it was absolutely amazing. I got a polish hot dog and it was delicious. My friend got tacos with chicken and she said they were delicious too. I totally recommend this place. Parking: You can park at Canadian tire if you want to buy food from here.
Got barbacoa tacos yesterday and literally haven t been able to stop thinking about them. Tender, flavourful, balanced, delicious as heck! (Barbacoa only on Fri-Sun fyi)
First time I got assorted tacos 2 orders 6 total tacos was ready in 8 min very friendly staff. Since I found this place about a week ago, I have already been several times, and I live across town. The young woman is incredibly polite, patient, and always addresses new customers. Definitely beats going downtown!
Tried the Beef, Pastor and Chicken tacos and they were great. The corn tortillas were that perfect mix of crispy and warm. My first time there but I b will be back for sure. Quick and delicious!

Coming here I was so excited to try their food but unfortunately their tacos were lacking meat and toppings. I was honestly expecting more for a $4 taco. I think is a bit overpriced too and no Churros?! :(
Decent tacos!
I ll make this short and sweet. Cocodrilo tacos are the best Durham has to offer. If you re looking for authentic Mexican tacos, look no further than this humble truck outside of the Canadian Tire. I ve travelled to Mexico and along the west coast (LA, San Diego, San Francisco) and of course their taco game is tops, but to have Cocodrilo so close to home is truly a blessing. The simplicity of their tacos is what makes them special and is, at its core, what makes it authentic. Highly recommend the al pastor taco. Get three and thank me later. Brb, eating again.
The Tacos and Polish Sausage tasted amazing! Love that they use soft corn tortillas, very authentic. Great customer service. Would definitely visit again!

Tried getting food just before 6pm amd tp our surprise we were turned away! Saying their closed as the girl was making a ton of food on the grill. I guess this business is soo busy they dont need more customers. They just lost our business! Unbelievable in todays market.

The most authentic tacos in Durham! and only $4 per taco! They also came out with new menu items such as Torta (sandwich) and the best thing ever FLAUTAS! so good! you need to try it. The sausages and hot dogs are very good and they pile it up with toppings and the fries are freshly made with some nice spices, I usually ask the nice ladies who work there for hot dog toppings on my fries and they never disappoint.
They need to update there hours of service. Everytime I have been here it s been closed.
I have visited this place at least 5 times now with only 1 time they have ever been open and we get there well before the posted closing time. At the one time they were open it was noon on a Saturday and we were told we had to come back an hour later because they ran out of food? Good tacos if you can get there while they re open.

Authentic Mexican tacos. Tried the chorizo, beef, and pork. Their hot sauce is good to add to the tacos for a little kick. I love that they use corn tortilla s rather than flour. Keep coming back for more!

You know its a real good tacos when its sold from the taco truck instead of big restaurant. this is the place. the Pastor is muy bien. the staff behind the counter is very polite I even try to speak spanish with her even though im terrible at it lol. I am glad this Taco truck exist in Durham. because durham dont really have proper taco place. but this one brought taco to the town. I hope the truck will stay there as long as they can. I highly recommend it.

Finding some authentic style tacos was nice, but they were unfortunately pretty lacking. The chicken and pastor were both pretty bland and dry.
Best tacos Ive had period. We come here only for the tacos... Canadian Tire is just conveniently located behind it.
I order 1 veg, 2chicken and 1 beef hot dog takeout .They didnt write which 1 is chicken or beef . I told them to put hot souce ,radish, olives, mayo, & Barbecue sauce and they put only mayo & olives That is very ridiulous service . i hate it.
Honestly really enjoy the tacos from here. The customer service is a different story. Havent had an issue before but today when I ordered tacos without onion, the staff member ignored my request. When I brought up that I asked for no onion, the staff member told me to relax and that I should have checked my order. Thats all well and good, but I need to have my order to check it. Something the staff member didnt provide me. Overall great tacos but if there were comparable tacos in Durham, I wouldnt go here.
delicious and AUTHENTIC tacos! Make sure to get there early as they tend to sell out towards the end of the day You can tell that the tortillas and ingredients are fresh, def would come back again

Amazing fresh tasting authentic Mexican taco s!! Fresh ingredients combined with tasty meats on corn tortillas doesn t get much better! My personal favourite was the chorizo. We will certainly be back when we re in the area.
Nice truck, I tried the beef and the pork, they were aright, the beef was missing more seasoning and could have been cook more. The pork which I though it was carnitas did not tasted good. I think is because I had many pork Mexican dishes before and they are mostly pastor or carnitas. This was none of them just pieces of pork with some seasoning. The tacos overall were ok, the onions, cilantro and lime makes them better. The salsas they offer are tasty. I dont think we will come back for tacos here.

Great place to grab a quick bite while shopping in the plaza. Had the carnitas and cheese empanadas (because why get a hotdog when there are tacos!) Lots of salsas and toppings, friendly staff. Will definitely come back.
