Came here with a friend recently and really enjoyed the food! I struggle to find a good spicy salmon in Simcoe and theirs hit the spot! Actually spicy! Sashimi and Sushi is very good quality. Only reason it s 4/5 stars as my girlfriend loves the teriyaki meals which they didn t have here! May be my new go to spot in south Simcoe! Service was very good, I believe the owner was there and he was very polite and friendly!

Unbelievable! Walked in on a hot day ask for a glass of water I was starting to feel very faint do to the heat. The Manger was absolutely disrespectful toward me, telling me no I cant have a glass of water. Even when I told him I was very dehydrated due to the heat then i asked if i could use the bathroom & im pregnant he then tells me thats for the customer only! He was Unbelievable disgustingly disrespect person I have ever met. What is this world coming to treating people like this. I will never step foot in ur restaurant every again, my first time even stepping foot into that place very sad.

Great quality, I order here all the time as Ive never had a bad order. Prices are normal, hours of operation are a bit strange. Dinning experience is great too!

They were out of rice when we got there, so we left, they re either really good, or the only sushi place in town.

2 hours wait for 2 avocado Cucumber rolls is crazy and its only a regular Friday night had to call about 4 times for someone to finally answer aswell. Too bad that other place closed .

My wife and I ordered from Yuki for the first time earlier this week. It was a bit further drive from where we usually go, but it was worth the drive. The sushi was excellent. I will definitely be going back in the near future.

I ordered take out, so was there for a quick minute to pick up. Very small and cozy place. My order was miso soup, avocado salad, assorted tempura and orange dragon rolls. The good was fresh and delicious!

Had our first visit at Yuki Sushi tonight and we were so delighted to have finally come. Jennifer was a great and attentive server, the food was amazing and it was a great find, even though weve driven by it a number of times. I only gave the atmosphere 4 stars as it was pretty spartan, but clean. The Crispy (crab roll with tempura flakes) was my wifes new favourite. Well be back!

We discovered Yuki Sushi while driving through the area last night. Ive learned not to expect too much from new sushi places, but this was a wonderful surprise! The food and service were both top notch. The fish was fresh and delicious with a good fish to rice ratio. The rolls looked skillfully crafted (I enjoyed the flavor of the light and dark sesame seeds around the outside of the rice). The dinner came with a delicious miso soup and salad. We also sampled an ice cream dessert that Id never tried before - it was a really nice, light finish to a great meal. Our server was fantastic, helping me with allergy restrictions and making sure our dinner was just right. It was a very enjoyable meal!

So lucky having this restaurant in town. The price is quite reasonable. Everything is very fresh and never disappointing my family. Even my teenage son never eats fish, but he really enjoys the spicy salmon roll and the dynamite roll. The best thing is the people who work there are really friendly.

My husbands first sushi he loved it, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Was patient and gave him training chopsticks.

Hands down best sushi joint in Alliston. Comparable and even better than somet GTA quality. Owners are super nice and prices are decent and fair. Clean facilities and prompt services. Definitely recommend for your regular take out option or if you re in town as a visitor. Only thing I wish could change was the hours on the weekend :)

Absolutely the best sushi I have ever eaten. Sean is an artist and when it comes to his craft I know he takes pride in his work. Always the freshest ingredients, everything is made fresh to order. If something is not up to his standards he will not serve it. Laura and Sean have high standards and we as customers get to benefit from it.

Even though there was a slight misunderstanding of my order they flawlessly corrected it. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!

Very impressed with the sushi from this small joint in Alliston! We moved from Toronto and thought we would have to drive an hour away for good sushi. We ordered takeout and all our food was nicely done. The dragon roll is a must try - all ingredients are really fresh. The only downside is that most of the time when we call to make an order, they are sold out and unable to take more orders past 5/6pm so planning in advance is required. They re also not open on weekends.

never had an issue they get busy fast if want sushi better get orders in early. quality for what I ordered was good Im not big fan of sashimi so no words on that the rolls were great, Ive had alot worse,tampora and dumplings were great.service was good to polite and friendly.

Ive been eating here for over a year. I honestly didnt expect to find a little sushi restaurant in a small town that has the quality of the big city. The food is prepared and presented beautifully and tastes fantastic. If your unsure about what to get, I recommend the Udon Combo.

I ordered two of the sashimi entree (18 pieces) + a couple handrolls after over a week of our schedules not lining up and it was well worth the wait! Growing up in Markham and traveling through Toronto I have had cuts of fish from many different restaurants! Being in our small town I never expected our fish to be so fresh but knew that they must be doing something right so I finally tried it (I have a habit of going all the way to vaughn for my favourite place for value and fish cut or to barrie out of convenience) but my oh my is Yuki Sushi better than any other restaurant in simcoe area! The sashimi cuts were perfect in size and the freshness of the fish made them incomparable. The garnishes were fresh and the meal was plated w. care. I am use to a larger variety of type of fish (coming from a highly sushi populated city) but the fishes they did have matched my cravings and left me wanting more! I have also had unagi from all over since its one of my favourite, and I cant tell you how well they have mastered the art of it! Cook: perfect. Sauce: finger-licking good and Flavour? unmatched in quality. Even my favourite place in vaughn has a fishier taste of eel. :| The pricing is fair for the quality so if you have the opportunity to treat yourself and your family do it because they will have you eyes closed in appreciation! I ordered the Yuki Sashimi, I was really unimpressed as the salmon sashimi was sitting in lemon juice therefore cooking it slightly, and the portions were very thin. I m not going back.

Food is fresh and very tasty. customer service is great. prices are very reasonable. The hand rolls are very small in comparison to what Im normally used to. But nonetheless very tasty. Will definitely be ordering from Yuki Sushi again.

Excellent food!

Not a big sushi fan but my son and daughter-in-law are and so we thought we would give Yuki Sushi a try. We stuck with the Maki Rolls to play it safe. Went for a wide variety: vegetarian, salmon, Unagi, Yam Tempura, Green Dragon. We all really enjoyed the food, and my son who has been to many sushi restaurants said this is one of the better sushi restaurants he has experienced (take out at this time with Covid-19 but convenient to pick-up). Well be back!!

Everything has wasabi on it! Franks Red hot sauce is a little bit too hot for me and then I get my order me and my wife spend $100 I even get my beloved sushi pizza and their spice all over it nowhere on the menu doesnt see that theres going to be wasabi on the sashimi or anything else disgusting never ordering again

Bought take out here during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was so good to have sushi again! It was definitely worth the price and the amount we got. Will definitely have to get take out again before all this is over!

Moving from the city to a small town, Ive been looking for my go-to sushi place and Yuki Sushi is it! Great service and even better sushi. Price is comparable to other places Ive been to. Order early as they can sell out!

Ive called so many times over the last 3 months. sorry we have no more food left sorry too busy, sorry sorry sorry. How about being more prepared for your customers. Its not like I call with 20 min left to service. Ive been in the restaurant there arent that many tables. If its repeatedly happening how about making a change. So dissappointing.

Yuki Sushi is a hidden gem in a small town. My husband and I visited on a whim and we could not have been more satisfied. The food and service was amazing. Right on par with our favourite sushi spot at home. We definitely plan to visit here again!

Food was great and service was equally satisfying..my only gripe is the less than fresh wasabi...and if it was fresh..its beyond mild..Im a big fan of copious amounts of wasabi..and this didnt even flare the nostrils. Aside from that..great experience. Good sushi outside of a major metropolitan areas is rare..but they should be proud of the food they serve.

Sooooooo I ate here today. Well I took it to go. I ordered a dragon roll, with the soft shell crab and a spicy salmon hand roll........... It was amazing. The rice was, sweet and fresh and the veggies were crisp and the crab was crazy! Definitely recommended this place to everyone. I wish they opened on the weekends. And the service was outstanding! Yuki Sushi is the best sushi around! My husband and I love this place. The food is amazing and always delicious, the service is amazing and very friendly. This has been our date night spot for almost 3 years now and have not had any bad experience. Love it and highly recommend this hidden gem. 5 stars for sure! The Shelburne friends.

Really good sushi. Did not know about this place until recently and went for the first time yesterday for dinner. Would highly recommend the Alliston roll. The service was good. The lunch combos are a great deal, the go until 3:00. The bento boxes can be a little pricey. Will be returning as the sushi place we used to go to in Beeton has closed for good, and because the sushi was fresh and good quality.

I love this place great quality friendly service. If youre not into raw fish try the dynamite or green dragon! Excellent!

Sushi super-fan here, First and foremost i would like to address Carolyn McBeths comment.... I have traveled around the world a considerable amount and eaten sushi in the finest of places. This hidden gem of a restaurant, most certainly served the finest and freshest quality of sushi. Carolyn McBeth, Nigiri (which is more commonly known as sushi, the one with the fish on top of the rice) is actually SUPPOSED to have a dab of Wasabi under the fish, this is the traditional and proper was to prepare Nigiri. So please, if you dont like this, know that it is down to YOUR preference and not the quality of the food at the resturant. And if you want to eat it bland, I suggest you stick to your supermarket sushi. Furthermore, clearly the chef/owners main concern is not making a large profit, but serving sushi only of the highest standards. For instance I tried to order some magaro sashimi and he came to me personally to tell me that the magaro he had left was not to his standards of quality and therefore didnt want to serve it to me. Another example of this was when I went there for dinner of an evening, sadly they had run out sushi rice (which actually needs ageing after being made) due to the immense busyness (the whole resturant was full) of the evening and probably the day too, albeit they closed early and I didnt get my delicious sushi. Again he came to me personally to apologise for my inconvenience and explained why he had to shut early, but even without his explanation, I could see that he had hardly anything left, out of what he had prepared during the course of that day, because of the obvious popularity of this place. Because of this attribute I find it very, very hard indeed to believe any sushi of any poor quality would ever leave his kitchen, in my regard only the finest. Making sushi is an art indeed, and the chef at Yuki Sushi, is the greatest artist of his kind, in my opinion and everyone elses who I have spoken to about this resturant.

Excellent Japanese food, great service!

It was like a garbage. I ordered sushi tray on Friday evening for takeout and I had to wait for more than an hour. When I went there to pick up in more than one hour, no customer was there and the restaurant was totally empty. I took the tray I ordered and came back to my hotel room. My kids were starving while waiting the meal. Finally when I opened the tray up to feed them, I realized wasabi was on the each sushi and my kids were not able to eat it because it was too spicy. To me, the rice was too sweet and fish was not fresh and it was smelly. I ordered 50 pcs but only 48 pcs were there and paid more than $50 + tax. I will never go back.

Should be called yucky sushi! Honestly the worst tasting sushi I have ever had and I have eaten at more sushi restaurants than I can count. I have never written a google review before but I felt compelled to tell people how terrible it was. We ordered a maki set and from the first bite, it tasted and smelled off (I dont know if it was actually off but it certainly wasnt enjoyable). Just didnt seem fresh at all. The fish was super fishy tasting and smelling. I have never left more than a couple of pieces of sushi on my plate and this time I left more than half the order. My fiance also thought it was disgusting. The gyoza, however, was good. Dont recommend this place at all...it was our first time there and we will never go back. If Sushi Chef reopens in Beeton (there was a fire there recently which is the only reason we went to Allison), I would recommend you make the trip there instead.

Expensive, my daughters dont like spicy food and there was wasabi in all pieces except for California rolls. It wasnt smelly but didnt taste fresh. And a nice long hair in the ginger. Not a fan.

For those who complain about a dab of wasabi under each fish , that is the way its always been made in the past. If you dont want the wasabi, simply request when you place the order. If you dont like it, then simply go some where else. There are many who truely enjoys the traditional way.

Ive been going to Yuki for about 2 years now, every other Monday, and every time it has been the highest of quality food and service. Could not recommend it more.

Small place for good sushi in Alliston

Im not sure what Ferris Buellers issue is... if your preference in sushi restaurants includes the name Boat, Train, Bonanza or Sobeys then perhaps this isnt for you! If you want your fish cut in a way that brings out the inherent natural flavours all with wonderful presentation and a fantastic ambiance, then go ahead and treat yourself. To find Sushi that is this fresh, this well prepared and this tasty would be a rare thing to find in Vancouver or Toronto, let alone central Ontario. Sean is a master and his sushi proves it

Ordered a simple salmon roll only to find out there is avocado alright well avocado isnt something I enjoy with my sushi I simply asked if the avacado could be removed they denied and and gave me a spoon to scoop out the avacado I have been to an excessive amount of sushi restaurants and never have experienced being told No as a customer spending at least 20$ on my meal alone very disappointed in the chefs attitude nothing but a miserable face behind the counter would not recommend this is the first review I have ever written about any restaurants and certainly not my first bad experience but certainly one of the most outrageous things I have encountered having to scoop avacado out of my own food quite disgusting

I disagree with the previous review, Yuki sushi is a great restaurant with friendly service! For years it has been myself and my moms favourite place. We go at least 1-2 times a week for lunch or dinner, with a great overall experience everytime!! I do not believe that Sean, the chef, gave attitude or was miserable to his customers. All I ever see is a very focused chef behind the counter making amazing food! Yuki sushi is an amazing restaurant with great staff!!

Yuki Sushi .Best food in town . Clean fast and friendly service . Sean the owner really knows the art of preparing fine foods. Moved a year ago and drive from Toronto to get my Sushi , it is the best .You have not tasted Sushi until you have tried Yuki Sushi. I dont understand how anyone could go into a resturant and insult the man making this great food by asking to take out certain ingredients. Maybe this spoiled child should go back to MacDonalds .

We have enjoyed the food at Yuki many times in the past. However, this time, their service commitment failed. It was Valentines day and we wanted take out for a quiet evening at home. However, they were anticipating a full house and would not provide take out service. So we went into town and while we were having dinner, there were 2 take out orders given to customers while we were there. Consistency please, do what you say and not treat others differently.

I always enjoy Yuki Sushi. Their service is always friendly and the wait time has never been more than 15 minutes. I definitely recommend eating here.

I was there on Sept 19, 2014. It was the most horrible experience. Ive been to many Sushi restaurants and this one was horrible. Their Sashimi was minuscule - the size of loonies. Their sushi was very poor tasting, the portion size was terrible. Very tiny size in comparison to regular restaurants. Wakame salad was atrocious no flavour and was a bit off. I recommend you pass on this restaurant. People of Allistion, you deserve much better. If your path leads you to Bolton, try Sushi Date. Always a favourite of mine and the prices are much cheaper. Treat yourself - but not to Yuki Sushi. Recommend you increase your portion size and lower your prices. I for one will not return until serious change takes place. I urge others to follow suit.

We always enjoy going with our children. Friendly staff. the food is wonderful. Just wish their Dragons where as big as they are in the city. We would recommend it to anyone.
