I was there over the weekend. Service was great and food was also really good and reasonably priced!!

Disappointed! We have been going to this restaurant for a few years now,but our recent experience left us with a bad taste in our mouths, literally! We came in this week and ordered the right burger pizza. All it is, is 4 ingredients,ground beef,bacon and 2 different cheeses. Well,we received the pizza and at that point it was mid afternoon, and we were very hungry. As we were eating the pizza we noticed the lack of ground beef but some other type of meat which we couldnt identify.The waitress came around only by the time we had almost finished our meal and if we enjoyed our pizza.We told her there was no ground beef on the pizza.She seems surprised and shocked by that. We asked her to check with the kitchen staff about this.she returned and was told the ground beef was not available as the distributor did not deliver it so they replaced with another type of beef. Well it happened to be PORK and not beef although this was never admitted,to our surprise...pork is not a substitute for ground beef. This is totally unacceptable to serve substitutions on whats on the menu without advising the customer.The restaurant kitchen staff should have advised us that there was no beef available and we would have chosen another type of pizza.The waitress said there was nothing else to do but to pay the pizza as we had almost eaten most of the pizza. I find the restaurant should have handled this experience way better than that. This is not the right way to handle it in our opinion. If the ingredient was not available,then,we should have been advised,as simple as that. Also, would have appreciated some sort of compensation at the very minimum as an apology for their error and non transparency. Very disappointed in the restaurant and will not be back as we have lost our trust in this establishment and their customer service was lacking.

We go there now about every week now on the way home from Walkerton. The first time we dropped in there, we were greeted by a friendly waitress, she seated us. Then, we were served by another waitress, and she served us with a big smile. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. You talk about desserts they have the best pies they melt in your mouth! If youre up that way, drop in. Have a bite. We finally got to stop in at The Right Spot this past week. The service was excellent as before, like we expected, the waitress was excellent, served with a smile, and everyone, this job, isnt easy after working all or being at university and coming into work. The food was delicious. We had nice & tender it melted in my mouth.. and I agree with you, Amy there pies are fabulous tasting. Along with the other pies, they make.. Stumbled upon this cute place and decided to try their desserts and wow the banana cream pie and tuxedo cake blew my mind. Beyond delicious and high quality! The servers so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you will return!

Got the club house and husband got hot roast beef dinner. He ate 1 bite, I tried it as well and it was awful. Not edible. The waitress was lovely but I could of got better at fast food place. I really wanted to love this place but in 40 years I ve never seen my husband not eat a hot roast beef. Charged us full price that was ok just will never go back.

As always the Right Spot exceeded expectations for lunch yesterday! The Roast Beef Sandwich was mouth watering and topped off with an amazing peanut butter cup pie! I cant wait to go back for yet another amazing meal with the best service around.

Great breakfast and lunch diner to stop at, service and atmosphere were top notch even being on the busier side. The food was great, I had a cheeseburger with fries but next time Ill do breakfast proper! Vegetarian options: Theres a vegetarian burger along with common, non-meat based items on the menu. Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu.

Friendly and welcoming staff! Recently renovated dining room is charming and inviting. Their food portions are generous. I absolutely love their pizzas, greek salad, slouvaki and tzatziki sauce. And their made in-house bake goods are out of this world devine!!! Some of my favorites are the pecan tarts, peanut butter cookies, Dutch apple pie, Strawberry Rhubarb pie and Pecan pie.

It took 45 minutes before anyone noticed our order had not been put into the kitchen. Then another 20 minutes to arrive. One order was correct and the other was not. Was surprised nothing was comped.

My spouse and I went with our in laws. Three of the meals were supposed hot meals that were barely warm. The carrots and French fries looked like the died hours earlier. I had a club sandwich which came on hamburger bun. The coleslaw came with practically no dressing. My in laws which are from out of province were paying or I would have sent the meals back. We live in Fergus and will not be going back.

Such a quaint small town diner experience. It was my first time there, and my friend who was with me was from BC. We had such a delicious lunch, and then bought a slice of cheesecake (to take with us for later) for dessert. Great service and very good food. Ill go back the next time Im in the area. Vegetarian options: I had the eggs Benedict (hold the meat). Yum!

The food is great here. No complaints... The service could use some help. Sunday night there were only 2 wait staff that I could see in a very busy and FULL restaurant. We waited 35 minutes from sitting till served. I will say the staff were very pleasant and accommodating but there were only two of them. The atmosphere has improved with new booths and floor layout and it is quieter, but it is a country diner! You get what you get. You also wont leave hungry. If you do, its your own fault!

Went for a meal after the theatre. Their food is good if you order from the menu. I ordered the special. Very disappointing and was charged almost twice the price of a menu item. I always thought specials were called this as they were the cheaper meals, as they expect to serve more of them. Not here I paid 2x as much for special as hubby did for giant fish and chips. Dont plan to go back.

We loved our first visit. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and felt very welcome. The young man and the lady who were working that day were so friendly and attentive. Busy spot with a lovely case of pies and desserts. The food was very good I had the crispy chicken sandwich which was reccomended and it was really good!

Clean,friendly place to eat. We did take out because we were just driving through. They have a very varied menu. Cant wait to go that way as an. Purchased baked goods for mom and dad and there were a huge hit. Especially the Raspberry custard tarts. Pizza was delish.

Awesome place. We always get our pies there but stopped for dinner and wow. Our server Jessica was amazing. I got the rib special with roasted potatoes. Whatever magic was done to the beans I finally found ones I loved. The potatoes were a Greek style roasted an were very good. The ribs were fall off the bone juicy perfectly cooked with good bbq sauce coverage. My husband got the chicken rib combo and again very good. I mentioned not seeing a coconut cream pie and she made one for us. I mean ... wow! A must go to for everyone.

Ordered pizza from here a week ago and had dinner and dessert here tonight with the family. Their baking is incredible, even their hamburger buns are baked in house. Portions are generous and fit the description of comfort food to a tee. Pizza is not even what they are known for and it out does any other pizza in Fergus and Elora. **Updated: The Right Spot is now our go-to family dinner night out. Their baking, especially their pies, are fantastic.**

It surpassed my expectations. Small, friendly, family feel restaurant. Food was well prepared and gorgeously presented. No rush to eat and leave. And of course.... I had to buy freshly baked scones on the way out. We will definitely be back.

We got bread and sweet goods and loved them, its a very nice place and great food, friendly staff I cant say enough good things about the place to do it justice so stop in and try it for yourself you wont be disappointed but look out for that light pole in the front of the place, it likes to jump out when you are backing up and get right behind you. It cost me a tail light for a Jeep its sneaky

Nice place. Was quite busy. Good selection on the menu. But ultimately underwhelmed. Food was just too dry. And that includes the eggs potatoes and bread.

If I could give them more stars I would most definitely. Great food, huge portions, reasonably priced and Deb was amazing. I urge you if you want that down home feel with great taste...visit here. Will be a must go for my fiance and I for sure.

This place was an amazing restaurant. My friend and I stopped for a quick bite on our way to a festival. The food was exceptional, and the service was the best I have ever seen. The staff were all incredibly nice and welcoming. The beautiful in the display were enough to make me come back. I will 100% bring my family here :)

Came here today when searching for something local, this way my friends and I would enjoy our get together with some nice food and snacking. The service was very nice, and the people were friendly and helpful! The food was a mixed bag, though. Honey garlic wings were quite good, as were the sweet potato fries with cajun sauce. We very much enjoyed those and wished for more wings. Those were the highlights. The pizza however, was below standard. It wasn t very good, pretty bland, and so was the spaghetti. The meatballs were in par with what you d find in the frozen food section, not much love there. My main issue though is the price for everything. It s a very pricey place, which is surprisingly for something local. For example, the sweet fries alone with tax reached the $10 mark which are double the price you would find anywhere else. In honesty with the prices as they are, you might find more fortune driving to a chain in Guelph or Fergus, as the cost of gas would make your price tag the same as coming here.

There were 11 of us. I emailed Elena to let her know we were coming and she had a table ready for us the day of. She made sure the staff knew we were coming. Very welcoming, friendly and efficient staff. Loved the atmosphere. Cozy, clean, modern, with a touch a local character/history. Menu had enough choices for every craving/dietary needs. Food was delicious, homemade and fresh. We all went back home with something from the on-site bake shop and kept enjoying The Right Spot at home. We all will be back. It made our day! My family, friends and I have dined at The Right Spot often and can t say enough good things about this place! I love the welcoming family-friendly feel of the place as well as the in-home bakery full of goodies - where I can order dessert after a meal and then can take treats for home as well! The menu has a lot to offer so that everyone can find something great - my husband is mostly vegetarian and there are options for him as well as for our kiddo - including the unicorn milkshake! The portion sizes are great and we usually always have food to take home even after we ve eaten ourselves full. The fish and chips I got were huge! It s a great casual place where you know you ll get a good meal and where it seems a lot of folks continue to come back and get to know the staff and the owners too! Kid-friendliness: It s a family owned restaurant that also feels family friendly. The wait staff are always so sweet to my kiddo as well as the other diners when we ve been there!

Lots of menu options, delicious desserts, big portions. I used to work here as one of the short-order cooks. The fact that I will still eat here says something, I guess. The bathrooms could use a new layout pretty impossible to access if you were in a wheelchair.

I stopped by The Spot restaurant today for my lunch with one of my co workers, staff was extremely friendly and the food was very good. I had a Club House sandwich that I would definitely order again. This is a great place to sit down for a quick meal!

Looking for a place for breakfast for our U11 hockey team on relatively short notice and were welcomed with open arms to The Right Spot. We had a tight timeline and they made sure our large group were served quickly with friendliness and accuracy. The takeaway pies and other baked treats were an amazing bonus! A true hidden gem and we will be back again when in the area!

Used to work in Alma once a month and would stop here for lunch. The waitress remembered my order the 3rd time I was there and was laways super friendly. Really a lovely place to eat and their baked goods are great too. The food is solid for a diner style restaurant. The burger is home made, no frozen patties.

It was a beautiful sunny day . I stopped in for a quick bite. I ordered the bacon cheese burger with the works. The server was a friendly lady. My food was ready in 15 minutes. I enjoyed the burger it was seasoned and cooked well a little over cooked but very tasty. The French fries were cooked perfectly. The coleslaw I ordered was excellent and fresh made. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for quality fast food.

Everyone was very pleasant, and the service was excellent. Entire place has been renovated during the Covid shutdown so was quite a happy surprise. Very nicely done. Washrooms were completely renovated as well. There was a big tent out front with dining tables so would have been nice to eat there, but too windy out for today. Food was absolutely delicious and comparably priced. The Honey Garlic chicken Special was $17.99, and the Ribs & Chicken combo was $23.99. Everything had amazing flavours. I was very impressed with mine (but my husband commented that his roasted chicken was a little bland in comparison). Wish we lived closer so that we could make it a regular destination! Definitely recommend The Right Spot Restaurant!

Went for lunch. The server was excellent. I had my elderly father with me and she was very patient and kind. When we were leaving my father took a dizzy spell in the parking lot. My daughter ran for help and our server and another staff memeber were quick to come to our aid . I am happy to day my father is ok. I dont know the names of these ladies but today they were heros.

Came for dinner tonight. The food was good but very very slow. There was only 2 other tables with people sitting there was 2 waitresses it took her 15 mins before she even came and asked if we wanted a drink. Then it took forever for her to come back and take our order. An hour and 25 mins for a quick dinner??? This was our first time and think it will be our last.

The bakery was beautifully spaced & stocked with treats I can only wish I could make.....the restaurant was spacious and comfortable. All precautions regarding the necessary distancing, and barriers between booths were freshly cleaned. Each table had its own personal bottle of disinfectant to be sure. At a time where protocols are what will keep the virus from spreading, youve done an excellent job. I plan on returning with my husband & daughter. Again!
