81 Queen St, Almonte, ON K0A 1A0, Canada
Elegant, luxurious rooms with individual styling in a riverfront hotel.
Rooms were nice. Staff was very helpful and willing to answer all the questions. Very informative also. Had a great time at the Monte Inn.
Great stay at the Monte. Their continental breakfast is the beat I have had. The staff were wonderful and helped accommodate our various requests. Rooms are quaint but functional. Their SPA is such a gem! 10/10 recommend
We had dinner with friends at the Monte last night…. Wow fantastic experience. Excellent food, drinks and service. The owner Rob was a wonderful host! Highly recommended!
Great service, the owner made sure on many occasions that we were pleased and had everything we needed. Bed and pillows were the most comfortable and the room was very big. The food was absolutely amazing. We even returned the next day to have the pork belly again! We used the hot tob & sauna 5 times over 2 days and we were always alone so that was also very nice. We could walk everywhere and enjoyed the location and the view on the river. Overall amazing experience, we recommend!
Wonderful atmosphere, absolutely delicious food & drinks, and top-tier service. Our dinner at the Monte was perfect from start to finish, and the location is stunning. The building itself is full of character, charm and upscale finishes providing a warm, welcoming experience. Would definitely dine here again!
Wonderful stay at this gem of a spot. We booked the Captain’s Mess room for our stay & so enjoyed its vibe. Regret my spouse came down with a nasty cold that day so we refrained from experiencing the restaurant and lounge but will for sure try them on our next visit as we’ll definitely be back!
Had an amazing stay! Really easy check in because the doors have codes, so no need to pick up any type of key card. Beds were super comfy, everyone was friendly and helpful. They have a hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, kayaks, and paddle boards all available. We will be booking again for sure!
We didn’t want the big city of Ottawa for our road trip overnight and we booked this by chance. What a find! The location to the darling town of Almonte is perfect and the river out the back of the Inn is wonderful. The room had wonderful old character but is filled with modern amenities and a wonderful bathroom with excellent bath products. We also dined at The Monte Lounge and it’s another “don’t miss”. The staff and owner are incredible. The drinks are creative and well crafted, and the food was as good or better than our “fine dining” in Quebec City. All in a wonderfully laid back atmosphere. We even walked off our dinner along the river. It was also the best breakfast spread we had our whole trip with fresh fruits, pastries, boiled eggs and excellent rich coffee etc. If we lived anywhere close it would be a fun romantic overnight anytime. If we lived really close we’d be there for drinks or dinner weekly!
We always stay at the monte for work, it s a great spot on the river. Breakfast is always great and Rob and his staff are the best
I recently booked this entire inn as a place for myself and the entire wedding party to stay for my wedding weekend. We were all really happy with our rooms. It was perfect for us to have exclusive use of the space for the weekend which made it really fun and easy to use as a getting ready space for the wedding. We also had an amazing dinner prepared by the chef one of the nights and had fun using the amenities. Breakfast was awesome too.
We stayed in the Judges Chamber Very well appointed Comfortable bed The breakfast was perfect So walkable to downtown I recommend this stay Only suggestion would be The greenery could be trimmed so the river could be seen from the lovely balcony
The Monte was recommended to us by a friend and this experience reifies that word of mouth is the best sort of recommendation. The Monte is a charming inn on the river with a great view, a hot tub and sauna, its own lounge for evening drinks and food. The Innkeeper, Rob, works hard to keep things ticking along, is highly hospitable and is a wealth of knowledge about the town and vicinity. We stayed in the Wheatley Room which was spacious and comfortable with a nice view of the Mississippi River flowing past, and we took regular advantage of the outdoor hot tub and sauna and report them to be in great working condition. Thank you for a wonderful visit. Rooms: Each of the rooms is unique with its own character. See the Monte web site for descriptions. Walkability: The main street of Almonte is just a block away across the bridge and the Monte is a great starting place for exploring the town. Food and drinks: The breakfast is an array of breakfast foods to select from with some gluten-free options (eggs, peanut butter, cereal and raisin bread for instance). Noteworthy details: The Inn is designed for relaxing with a common room for sitting, reading and getting coffee, the longe for breakfast drinks and dinner, the yard and rooftop for relaxing out of doors. There are lots of unique and interesting spaces.
A 19th century stone mansion converted to a modern hotel. Modern amenities and a great location right on the Mississippi River in Almonte. Cozy, comfortable, and reasonably priced.
Beautiful quaint little spot by the river, perfect for a drink or two! Loved the vibe.
Such a beautiful spot to stay and enjoy the river views and charming town of Almonte. The food and cocktails were always amazing. Everything in town is walkable. The only time we moved the car was to do a nature walk at the mill of Kinsale. Otherwise we walked everywhere or simply enjoyed the views from the hot tub and sauna.
Amazing food and drinks at the Monte Kitchen. We had a smoked chicken that was to die for. Our room was perfect. We loved the outdoor spa and its views. And the location is perfect to walk to anywhere in the town. Definitely recommend and would go back. We had a great time in Almonte. The whole town gets 5* for hospitality. Such rich culture and history.
I stayed in the king room on the main level, and the bed was very hard and uncomfortable, and the heater in the room made it swelteringly hot. Nothing special about the room and the modern bathroom and old room were mismatched. Hot tub and sauna were nice, but to access them You have to walk through the restaurant in your robe OR go upstairs which is not good for someone that may have knee problems. Location was good right off the main road. Don t think I would go back.
The old building is great! My son loved it, it felt like a castle. Breakfast was great, we came over Christmas holidays and were very much looking forward to coming back in summer.
Absolutely loved it here! Especially the river view from the window and the brand new shower cabin. Oh, and breakfast was fresh and amazing!!!!
Super cute old world inn. Room was clean and comfortable. Great communication and check in and out times.
nice and cozy hotel , we enjoyed our stay there. the breakfast is professinal baked. Rooms
Beautiful old building and gorgeous setting. Very clean and fresh and comfy beds. Friendly, considerate host. All together a very pleasant experience.
Almone Riverside Inn was such a great experience. All the people involved in running the Inn were friendly and taking pride in their work. The host was fantastic and he and everyone there created a wonderful experience. It didnt hurt that the location and building are top notch too. Thanks, Rob!!! Patricia and Tom Rooms: Clean and comfortable Nearby activities: Lots to see and do within walking distance. Walkability: Stores and historic sites nearby.
Not mobility impaired friendly. Limited parking.
While visiting family, medical reasons necessitated my wife and I to extend our stay in Ontario. We were in great need to find a place that would be ultra quiet, relaxing and in a most peaceful environment.....we did indeed find that at the Almonte Riverside Inn. During our week long stay, owner/host Rob, chef Mike, and lady-with-many-hats Shy couldnt do enough for us. The river, huge trees, excellent food and the overall friendliness of one of the most beautiful towns I have ever seen was exactly what my wife and I so badly needed. One thing for certain, I know this Alberta couple will indeed be back....a sincere thanks to one and all!!!!
I was brought up next door 60 years ago when military had property lots of nice changes .Was treated well and loved the place I live in B.C.but still consider myself Almonte Boy as i have many good friends still ther
Large rooms, clean with great river views. Hot tub and sauna are great. Peggy is an amazing host. Awesome location. Very reasonable price. Continental breakfast is excellent.
Love this boutique inn!! Rob and his team are absolutely amazing !! They are very personable!! Breathtaking views around the property. They also have hot tub, sauna, kayak , boards, etc. Amazing rooftop patio!! They have lounge chairs in many areas for you to relax. Continental breakfast offers so many choices. Best location, you can walk anywhere within minutes. We will definitely go back. HIGHLY recommended!!
I had the perfect fall getaway at this beautiful inn, though I m sure it s marvellous at any time of the year.
A perfect place to spend a few days. The Inn is a lovely old building with lots of character and stunning views of the river. The staff were all kind and helpful. The outdoor spa area is perfect for unwinding. Well be back again soon!
Expected a wonderful night and started out in the hot tub and sauna. Entered our room and it was extremely small. The next morning our breakfast was vegan and we were not vegan. Your debit terminal was not working. Had to run several trips to the bank to pay for our room. When we went to leave today to pay our bill the manager was very confuntational and agrumented. We will not return. PS. Offering a free night stay is not a solution. Rooms: Too small.
Great getaway spot. Organized, attentive staff- and a quiet stay in a picturesque setting.
Great spot to enjoy Almonte. Walking distance to downtown. Rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay
We stayed in Wheatley Room, lucky enough to get this room available, Beautiful View of Mississippi River from the room, The Owner is such a honest and nice guy, it was fun talking to him. About the room, King size Bed with beautiful color paint contrasts of the room match with furniture with Modern Washroom. It was mesmerizing staying there. About Breakfast, Loom Bistro is the attached restaurant and the flavours of Breakfast, I am still feeling it. It was the Best. I would highly recommend the Almonte Riverside Inn! And would love to visit back the town and this place in future.
Love this place. If you stay there you have to try the drinks at the bar or their food. Best whiskey sour in town!
Check in was communicated very well, we were texted with room details etc. We had tripped an outlet with the hair dryer and they were very quick to resolve it. Only thing we wish was communicated better was breakfast times. Room was clean, it just felt outdated given the price point. Some rearranging or furniture and small decor change could fix that. Location was great, can walk into town very quick. Overall, good experience, it did feel a little expensive, but so is everything these days so its hard to judge. Happy the money is going to a family business rather than a hotel chain
This quaint and historic Inn offers keyless code entry, Nespresso coffee and an incredibly comfortable bed! Attentive staff and a great assortment of breakfast items made for a wonderful work stay! They even added an additional in room AC on a particularly hot night without me having to ask!! I d definitely stay again, and recommend it highly.
The stay was exquisite. Service was amazing. Breakfast was delicious. And Rob was more than beyond helpful. I plan to be back and also plan to try out his new and upcoming restaurant. Thank you got the great stay.
Most enjoyable experience! Would recommend highly! Rooms
Wonderful Inn with lovely service and incredible view of the Mississippi River
We are five couples who get together once or twice a year for two or three days of friendship, dinners and fun. Weve been doing it for more than 35 years and this is one of our finest locations yet. There are six bedrooms and we booked five of them. The last was not booked to other guests, so we had the entire place and lounge to ourselves. The building and rooms have a lot of historic charm and everything was extremely comfortable. Continental breakfast was generous with fresh baked croissants, cereals, yoghurt, muffins, fruit, banana bread, hard boiled eggs, OJ, coffee and tea. Peggy was our hostess in the mornings and she was wonderfully accommodating and a joyful presence for starting our days. This visit was several days before Christmas, so we took advantage of walking the town of Almonte and all of its great shopping venues. There are also fabulous restaurants, coffee shops and a bakery that made our days complete. Thank you Rob for helping to make our gathering so perfect!
Delicious food, cozy atmosphere
Beautiful spot with great views of the river!!!
Beautiful place right in the heart of Almonte. It was lovely, clean and spacious. We had access to kayaks, right on the river. Rob was a great host, very kind, considerate and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again. I can t wait to come back
Positives: The owner and Peggy are very nice and accommodating. The room was large (Captains Mess), with a great view of the Mississippi River. The shower was nice with soft water and the location was great. Contact less entry to bed/breakfast Inns main entry and your room. The grounds at the back were beautifully landscaped and peacefully set by tranquil river water. Comfortable beds, with clean sheets. Negatives: Parking is limited and awkward, at best 4 cars. There didnt seem to be anyone around. Only met when we were checking out. The room was dusty. I cleaned off the dust from the baseboards near our beds. The room door does not have an inside lock, so if anyone knows the code, your room entry is theirs during the night and this leaves you feeling a little unsafe in a strange place. The bathroom sink pipe came back on twice after we used it. It faces a main street, so you may hear vehicles passing by and see bright lights in the night. We were never able to access the WiFi, as the code we were given was an alpha code and we were asked to enter a numerical code. Although restaurants were permitted to open with indoor seating, the attached restaurant was closed. We also did not get any breakfast, only self server tea/coffee, for which there was no discount offered & we were actually charged a gratuity. For $200 a night, this is not an upscale place. Should we return to visit Almonte again, we will likely stay in an actual hotel in Ottawa or Perth and just do a day trip into Almonte, which is a quaint place, but not many options for dining.
This is a hotel with unique rooms, overlooking the river (and thus the name). There is a restaurant inside, but somehow the hotel got marked as a restaurant in Google.
Top notch staff and service. Loved the room (Captains mess). We did some kayak on the river. Beautiful, charming and will come back!
Contactless cheque in, clean, comfortable, quiet, quality for price. My boyfriend and I went for a few nights, we were able to explore the small area of Almonte (the Inn is in the center of it) as well as easy access to downtown Ottawa. I recommend this place for a quaint and quiet getaway.
enjoyed our evening, it was quiet & comfortable. the room was very homey - felt like you were staying at grandmas house. beautiful old fashioned desk and chair in the room. new modern bathroom. contactless entry worked well. we were on the 2nd floor which provided a nice view of the river, bridge and town.
Lovely boutique hotel with beautiful property right on the river in gorgeous Almonte.
My wife and I moved our wedding guests to this hotel because we live in the area and wanted to support local. Massive mistake. By the first night we were getting comments from our family how the hotel looked tired but could overlook some of these issues due to potential shortages in material, labor or funds due to Covid. On the first night I got a call from a family member saying the toilet was running. I asked why they didnt let Rob (The Owner) know and apparently they had. His response was well do you want me to come fix it now?. This is not a question he should have asked...Ill be right there or Ill figure it out would have been better. As a licensed plumber I was able to help out over the phone. For the remainder of the stay this issue was never fixed. On the second night an elderly family member fell in the hotel resulting in a cracked rib, a hospital visit and missing out on most of the wedding events. When presented with this information Rob came back with excuses on why a portion of the railing was inadequate. While speaking with Rob he informed me that he would never take another wedding party because they expect certain things, then complained my guests didnt use his amenities. Every guest I spoke to had similar issues. Run down establishment, no staff on site, ZERO communication from Rob (until payment was due). This hotel would benefit greatly from an owner that actually cared about his/her guests. Think twice about booking your group at this hotel.
One night stay in the Wheatley room, comfortable, clean and everything we needed. Coffee machine available and great Coffee. Had a meal in The Loom, excellent. Would stay again.
Our first time here! It is a lovely historic old inn. Very safe feeling, and the breakfast was delicious! Our room was on the first floor beside the restaurant. We could hear a bit of noise from the busy restaurant in our room, however by 9pm all noise stopped. We had a great sleep! The bed is super comfortable! We would highly recommend the Almonte Riverside Inn!
Stayed 2 nights in the Wylie room, Dec 2021. Beautiful views. The inn is lovely.
Is a such place my wife and me we went for anniversary for a night and is the beautiful place we get all we needed
Lovely and cozy place to stay with unique features throughout! Excellent customer service in answering questions before/after booking. The rooms are spacious and bright, and made for a great place to take pictures before my wedding! We will definitely be back!
Fresh take on fresh food. Everything is original and you can taste the passion, dedication and experience behind every dish. Front of the house is experienced , knowledgeable, professional and yet still engaging and fun.
Phenomenal food, best in Almonte. Plan to spend some time sampling the cocktails and graze on the amazing appetizers. Attentive knowledgable staff and intimate atmosphere make lobby bar a perfect place to meet up with friends for an evening.
Perfect location for a weekend gateway. Friends and clients recommended this location, so we figured it was time to try it. What a location! The town is so friendly and inviting. The bed and breakfast has gorgeous rooms, wonderful waterfront property, top service. Clean!! Clean!!! Clean!! The restaurant located within the bed and breakfast is awesome. All and all...a must visit, a must stay and a must eat!
The gem of Almonte. Wonderful space in a picturesque setting. Clean bright rooms overlooking the Mississippi River. See you again soon! Rooms : 5/5 |
I stayed in the Inn for a few nights recently and it was an excellent experience, the rooms were clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the place was quiet. We were given contact less entry into our suite and despite the restaurant not having been open due to covid there was coffee and tea available at all times (a must in any civilized establishment) and the owner made it clear that if we needed anything someone would be along shortly despite us not actually having seen any staff. The view from the room was also incredible. 10/10 would recommend
Cozy place that had good social distancing procedures. They had some good seasonal food and drink options, and everything tasted great.
Beautiful and clean definitely I will come back again. Very nice to see how well organized it is for covid and contactless. Thank you
This is the most overlooked kitchen in eastern Ontario. While the inn was exceptional, the in-house restro-bistro was remarkable, innovative, and exceeded all expectations. Chef Hunter is a master at his craft. Most highly recommended. You deserve this unparalleled culinary experience.
This was our first time at the Lobby Bar. We heard it was quite good and we were not disappointed. We had the tasting menu. You never know what your going to get. It was very good and a variety of tastes. Service was friendly and timely. Thanks to Colin and Angie for a great experience.
What an amazing inn! Beautiful setting, comfortable bed and awesome service. Coffee up to the room and a 5 star breakfast included. Couldn t be better! (Well, perhaps minus the freezing rain ). Thank you. We will be back. And thank you for the vodkow sample!
Very charming place Full of character
My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in the Cabin. This room is excellent fo. Especially for the bathtub. We stayed s couple of nights in the Wheatley Room. It was beautiful. We are all really booked for two nights in August in the Captains Mess. I love this Inn! But I think what really makes this place nicer than nice is Rob! He goes out of his way to make guests feel wanted.
Loved the character of the Inn. Our Cabin room was darling and quaint. There has obviously been lots of attention paid to renovating it. Rob was very hospitable and makes a mean coffee and omelet. The surroundings are picturesque with the Inn right on the water. I didnt visit the lounge as I was with my 10 year old and didnt want to effect adult time. If I lived in Almonte I could see that being a place Id frequent. We were there for a family matter so dont have much occasion to go to Almonte generally but wed stay there again for sure.
What a beautiful location! Right on the Mississippi River in Almonte. The Bed & Breakfast is gorgeous, meticulous, romantic and inspiring. There is something about taking a coffee out to a deck looking out onto the water that brings such peace to a person in much need of a vacation and a recharge! We came here to just get away from the city for a minute or two. Who knew you could escape and still only be 30 minutes away from your home!?! The Lobby Bar is a fantastic restaurant within the Bed & Breakfast. Nothing like a good night cap and treat on the water before calling it a night. Cant say enough about the experience here. A must try!
Absolutely awesome.
Went with the family and sat outside in their very pleasant garden. Very accommodating - great service and bar snacks, and the kids loved playing on the lawn by the river.
Exiled. FOOD SERVICE And food
Beautiful
A beautiful spot right in the river. The restaurant staff are attentive and knowledgeable.
Such an amazing ambience, Incredible food & drinks and great people
Pizza amazing!!!!!
Also building a wood fired pizza oven !
This place is a must visit every time I come to Almonte. The menu is constantly changing and filled with delicious foods. Try the mushrooms on toast - so good! Their cocktails are chic and tasty. And the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. My photos are from inside the space at night, so they miss the river-side patio. Truly a gem.
Beautiful views of the river from our room! So idyllic. Lovely building and atmosphere. Fantastic breakfast! My favorite part of our stay was having tea delivered to our room in the morning and enjoying watching the morning sun on the river.
Cute spot, AMAZING food, very nice people! How great is it to see your server walk to the garden and pick fresh herbs for your dish?!
Thursday night we did the tasting menu. The way to go. Awwwesome.
Fabulous!
This place is honestly one of Almontes hidden gems. The dining experience here is as cozy & intimate as it is superb and unique. A lot of thought has been given to not only how great the food menu tastes, but as well to how it pairs with their drink menu. Weve always thoroughly enjoyed every time weve gone and will return again and again.
I had a dreamy 24 hours in the town of Almonte. Our stay at this inn was peaceful and perfect.
Charming location by the river. Small and quaint (12 spots at tables plus 6 stools at the bar). Wild mushrooms on toast were a delight and in season. The caprese with halloumi was an Interesting twist with some pepper to flavor the oil. Homemade sausage was disappointing (more like a breakfast sausage sandwich not a choripan style sausage). Would return for the Monday night pizza in their outdoor pizza oven. Would love to see fresh homemade pastas too! Recommended by locals.
Fabulous. We will be back.
The Almonte Riverside Inn, and the Lobby Bar set inside it, are both wonderful. The inn is beautifully appointed, comfortable, and quiet. The Lobby Bar has an amazing menu, attentive owners and staff, and beautifully-presented dishes, in a gorgeous location.
Excellent atmosphere and food!
Helpful staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms in a well-maintained old-fashioned building. The bar and lounge are both cozy and classy, and the menu is superb. Really delicious stuff.
Riverside Inn Almonte is a refreshing change from chain hotels Beautiful rooms with amazing views Coffee service in the morning Breakfast was so delicious and inventive too!! Would recommend to anyone Thank you Rob and all the staff It was a great stay at the Riverside
Very friendly place. The breakfasts were delicious.
A beautiful spot.
Very comfortable and lovely stay. The design was smart and minimal with a hint of old world charm. The entire staff was so welcoming and friendly. Hunter the chef made a delicious breakfast with great care in ingredients. Even the fruit garnish was local and exceptional. We stayed in a beautiful room with a view of the Mississippi River. The building itself is historical and gorgeous. Highly highly recommended
Rob is a fantastic host and makes a killer breakfast! The Inn itself was great, clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the river from the rooms porch. We will definitely be staying here if we find ourselves back in Almonte again. Edit: weve stayed here half a dozen times since my initial review and I can safely say its only gotten better the more we stay! Definitely recommend.
This was a great experience from the time of booking onward. The manager is extremely accommodating and generally a delightful person to deal with. Ill definitely book here again!
This place is an incredible find. Its right on the river, has great breakfasts, very nice rooms, and a fantastic lobby bar in the evenings. Lovely people running it too. Almonte is an interesting town to spend time in as well. The people are super friendly.
The Riverside Inn was absolutely wonderful! The rooms were well stocked and charming. The breakfast was fantastic and the patio upstairs was a beautiful place for coffee. Dinner was also to die for! Oh and the staff were absolutely lovely.
Beautiful location and building, wonderful staff, and delicious food. I had a great time there.
Beautiful riverside view. Tapa style dinner menu. Excellent flavours. Bruschetta was amazing. Local charm and intimate setting.
Great service and totally awesome foods!
Amazing food and service!!! My favorite place in Almonte!!!
Just finished a stay at the Almonte Lobby Bar (aka Riverside Inn) this weekend, and it was fantastic. The room we stayed in (the Judges Chambers) was spacious, clean, comfortable, and full of classic flare. There was a gorgeous old hearth, crown moulding around most of the walls, beautiful old wood floors, and huge old windows looking out over the river. Complete with King size bed and a modern bathroom, it was well worth the price. The hotel staff were a little disorganized, but very polite - they forgot to tell us that the bar was hosting a special event the night we stayed, but immediately reimbursed us for bar credit wed purchased as part of our reservation. The hotel is so close to so many other restaurants that it turned out to be a minor hiccup in the end. The reservation also came with breakfast the following morning, which was very tasty. I asked for their kitchen creation of the day, and got a coddled egg with a bacon grill cheese for dipping and a side of fruit salad. It was all very rustically presented and the view out over the garden during the meal was very pretty. Ill definitely be going back next time Im in Almonte. It was a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend.
AMAZING food, great atmosphere and awesome hosts.
Fantastic venue, fantastic food. Great hospitality for our event!
Hands down the best place in town for a drink or meal. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
Excellent food and cocktails in a beautiful heritage building. A must visit!
Delicious food, friendly service. Almonte is so lucky to have a gem like this. The menu changes often, keeping old favourites but adding in fresh seasonal options. The views are incredible, summer on the patio or winter looking out on the frozen river.
LOVED IT !!! Rob the owner was so accommodating. .. rooms were clean and comfortable...great views... best coffee ever ...served hot to my room...had the delicious meat omelette. ..all made with care...I will be back !!
No food drinks anymore
Great spot fantastic service, kind and helpful staff
Very comfortable and quiet place. Host is super kind and attentive. nice ambiance and walking distance to good restaurants.
Everything you would like about a B&B!
Great place
Great place, wonderful owner
This was an amazing place to stay. We planned on staying one night and we ended up lengthening it to two. The owner, Rob is very friendly and incredibly accommodating. He takes time to talk to the guests, and to meet all of their needs. Breakfast which comes with the stay, was absolutely delicious, and coffee is served to your room at no extra charge! The rooms are tastefully decorated. Thanks so much to all the staff!
Great service
Beautiful spot on the water
Rons a really nice guy & a great host
Great Inn, nice location, great service
The Almonte Riverside Inn offers top notch service and has a welcoming atmosphere. Our room, The Wiley, was very clean, large and gave us an expansive view of the river and bridge leading to a quaint very small downtown district. Riverside Inn is within walking distance of just about everything Almonte has to offer. An excellent breakfast with a range of choices is prepared at a designated time slot---so no overcrowding. Both veggie and meat omelettes were tasty and the multi grain bread out of this world. The host Rob provides tips on restaurants and any historical info in the area. Staff are very welcoming without being intrusive. Just had a really good time! Also, early risers get a large pot of coffee or tea or hot chocolate delivered to your room before breakfast. And there is a main floor common room with complimentary granola bars, juices, soft drinks and potato chips.
Very nice.
Rob was a most accommodating host from the moment we arrived. Although we were staying in the area for work purposes the inn was very cozy and had a lot of character. I would definitely like to come back again for leisure!
My group of twelve stayed here for a night in April, Rob was accommodating and ensured we had what we needed. The rooms were clean and had a good twist of a modern versus historical vibe. The view of the river is a great addition and proximity to downtown Almonte is excellent. My guests still rave about the amazing breakfast! Dont get greedy ordering too much, the portions are more than generous. Thanks again!
Great place. Owner is nice.
We had a lovely time here great room love the old architecture. Thank you to Rob for making us feel at home away from Home. :) Paula,Bailey and Gracie.
e Almonte Inn is a beautiful historic building in a gracious small town with friendly people ,shops and good restaurants. The host there knows his profession and provides great hospitality and service. The offerings at breakfast are varied and delicious. I would highly recommend a stay at this Inn to anyone staying in this very attractive part of Canada.
