Santa lunch was a joke. Santa was great though.

Visited with the kids during their Breakfast with Santa brunch. Good food, reasonable prices, great service. We werent familiar with the restaurant before, but will definitely be back!

This was our first visit and definitely wont be our last. The food was so good and not too pricey either.

Always enjoy dining @ Southcote; especially in the summertime in their patio area. Food and service is very good!

Recently attended a Christmas luncheon for 13 adults and 5 children in a private room at Southcote 53. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Server Desiree was amazing! Great food, extensive menu. Would definitely recommend.

Decent food, 8 wings for 18 bucks...kinda silly. My pops had fish and chips, he loved it. My wife had the fried chicken sandwich and the bun was so stale it fell to pieces. Service was awesome. Open the blinds, its a vampires dream. . UPDATE Went back and my father and son had fish and chips, they are both sick 2 hours after eating. Kid-friendliness: Kids loved it

Had a work lunch today. Jackie our host was amazing and welcoming. Our server Heather was friendly and helpful. I asked for a recommendation and I was not disappointed, the food was great, they have a private room for functions also, so I am looking forward to booking some work lunch events in the near future.

So I used to go with my mother to eat at this restaurant once a month when I was a young kid. Today I thought I would do take out from the restaurant and I am deeply saddened. The sea food was not cooked and the toppings on the flat bread tasted like theyd rotten. Sad to say it. But I cannot eat here again.

Went for a birthday celebration and had a great experience ... had the entire back room space reserved and staff did a great job of keeping track of tabs and serving drinks to at least 50 people ... food was good and served hot in a buffet style lineup ... congrats to South cote staff for doing a great job to make a friends bday special

I had lunch with a friend of mine yesterday at Southcote. Was greeted promptly and seated in a quiet corner where we could talk. Our server was polite, efficient, courteous and handsome! Delicious lunch, wonderful atmosphere. Just a great restaurant all around. I have been eating there for 20 years and have taken many friends there. Keep up the good work Southcote!

First-time customer and I will definitely return. The service was amazing and the food was fantastic. There were so many different food options. We had the Baked Brie Board, the Steak Salad(the Chimichurri dressing was to die for, and the steak was cooked to a medium well perfection), and the Fruit & Nut Salad. The food was fresh, had big portions, and was delicious. Our waitress was there when we needed her, made us feel very welcome, and explained all the upcoming events for the holidays. I plan on attending one of their trivia nights as it looks really fun. Oh, and the prices were comparable to other similarly styled restaurants. Thank you for a great dinner that we didnt have to cook at home. We were sat in a separate section from a party that was going on when we came for breakfast but it still felt cozy and welcoming. The bar has a bit of that old school charm. Food was really good, most of us ordered from the breakfast menu but everyone enjoyed their food and every plate was clean, which is saying something with two picky kids there eating. The service set this place apart for me, all of the staff were very professional and helpful. Well likely return in the future. Vegetarian options: There were few on offer, but the staff was very accommodating in the event someone had a dietary restriction. Dietary restrictions: Myself and my kids dont care much for pork (tends to be fairly greasy) and when we asked to remove it from our dishes we were immediately asked if we had dietary restrictions so theyre willing to accommodate if needed (within reason). Wheelchair accessibility: There do not appear to be levels and there are no steps up to the entrance from the lot so Im pretty sure you wont find a problem if youre in a wheelchair.

We ve dined in twice on Fridays in the last few months and enjoyed the fish and chip special both times. The servings were generous, the fish perfectly cooked and lightly battered. Although the restaurant can be busy, it is definitely a location that we will go regularly to enjoy a properly cooked Fish and chip dinner. Thank you.

Desere and Jackie were excellent. Super attentive and very engaging. Apps and entrees were served up quickly and tasted great. Drink orders were constantly kept up with. Group of 8 were taken care of!!!

Service (Sheila) was excellent. It was nice to sit next to the gas fireplace on this rainy day. A slight issue was resolved by the Manager in a very satisfactory manner. I will be back.

Very expensive

I ve been here a few times and tried to give it a chance again, but it s just awful. The food is inconsistent, from the burger to the steak - you just don t know what you re going to get. I ordered a salad tonight and got the flat iron steak add on. I requested medium rare but it came out as rubbery as the sole on my Nikes. I also ordered a blue moon to drink but it definitely didn t taste like one. Our server was great and she didn t charge us for it which was a very kind gesture and one which I greatly appreciate.

Went to Southcote 53 last night for dinner with a friend to check out their BOGO wing promotion. It was our first time there we loved it! Very relaxed atmosphere, modern furnishings, very clean, well kept space. As for the food, the wings were a healthy size and very delicious. The beer on tap was nice and cold and was a priced well (we had the mini pitchers). The Service was Fantastic, truly. Our waitress Desiree could not have been any more engaging, friendly, and attentive to our needs . As I understand it, they have half price wings every Wednesday, so I look forward to having another great experience on a Wednesday night sometime soon!

I enjoyed the patio. Lots of space. The restaurant can get quite busy quickly. Great place for a variety of visitors from families to sports teams. Looks like theyve got some outdoor tent event space for rent.

Ordered the Thai Noodle Bowl with chicken which was very good. No mention of it being spicy on the menu though, and it came with some heat to it. Thankfully just enough that I was able to enjoy it. I would suggest a menu update to indicate it has some spice to it.

Food was fantastic! We were there for a private party so its a little unfair to review this place as if I sat down with a small party and ordered off of the menu.

Attended a 50th anniversary event. Food and service were both outstanding.

Was at the restaurant and ordered the roast beef and Yorkshire. I was not impressed the beef was dry and was like chewing leather, there was no gravy on the Yorkshire also making it dry. I get a 100% better roast beef at Swiss Chalet

We hosted a surprise 70th birthday party for my mom at Southcote. The event planner was great, responding to emails promptly and answering any questions to support organization. Everything was set up and ran according to the outline we were provided ahead of time. The server we had for the event, Janis, was awesome - friendly and efficient, super accommodating and helpful. Guests enjoyed the food and space and everyone seemed to have a great time. Most importantly, my mom was very happy!

Prime rib panini was mostly bread , with a bit of overcooked dry tasteless beef. Au jus was bland and overall sad experience

I ve visited Southcote 53 a few times now, including last evening, when I took advantage of the outdoor seating on a beautiful night. The atmosphere was great, and the service was very good our waitress was attentive, pleasant, and made sure to go over the specials for the evening, which included hamburgers. However, I decided to try the hamburger, and it was disappointing. It came on a small bun, and the portion was so small it could almost be classified as a slider. It was also overcooked. While I ve enjoyed some good wine and dishes here in the past, the inconsistency in food quality is notable. Based on my experiences, Southcote 53 wouldn t be my first choice when selecting a restaurant, especially if consistency is important to you.

Party of 3 on a Thursday evening at 6:15. (July 25) Waited 7-8mins at the please wait to be seated sign before flagging someone down to seat us. We sat down and there we sat. No one came by to offer us water, order drinks, nothing. No server came. We sat. And we sat. Seated in the sun waiting. 10 mins, 15 mins, 20mins..no waitress..no water, nothing. Tried to flag someone down but couldnt get anyones attention. After 25 mins we got up and left. Told the hostess by the door why we were leaving. She managed an Oh really and went back to whatever she was looking at. Out we went. In all we were there a full 30mins without ever being offered a glass of water. Absolutely inexcusable.

Went for the Drag Brunch, what a great time. The food was fantastic.

Service was terribly slow. We were a table of 10 people, and it was not busy in the restaurant however it took forever to get anything from the server. Drinks were taking 25 minutes at a time to come out food was bland. Overall not a good experience. Edit: I emailed the restaurant as per response, and did not get an email back

TERRIBLE service! We waited at the counter for a table for more than 15 minutes and no one paid us any attention, nor were they offered us a drink. We went away to never come back!

Food was ok but the service was horrible had to wait over ten minutes to get a seat when only like five tables were occupied got the bang bang shrimp it was the best part then ordered main meal then the next time we saw our server she handed us the bill didn t ask if we wanted desert or anything we could ve really used another fill up on our drink and had to ask another server just to get ketchup when your spending like 70$ on a meal out just be nice to make sure you at least have drinks on table

I was there for a Freedom Train show, and it was amazing! It had rained heavily, and the tables and chairs had gotten soaked. The staff came and wiped down the seats and tables and provided us with bug spray to help keep us bite free!! They were very attentive to our needs and went above and beyond!! The food and drinks were delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!

We use to love it here, but it really has lost its touch. Before we even got sat, it was obvious that they wanted us to be quick since there wasn t many people left in the restaurant (at 9pm?). If you want a fun, high-energy vibe, it s not the place for you as it is dead pretty early on a Friday. Also, if you have a diary allergy, don t recommend coming as I only had two suggestions offered, dry nachos with no cheese or dry (non-breaded) wings. Dry nachos? Who wants that haha The staff was nice enough but I didn t enjoy myself and wont be back.

JULY 9th, 2024 Visited for chicken sandwich, Cobb salad and take out noodle bowl . Delicious and served with a smile by DESIREE - perfect night ^ thank you Support local! Liver and onions, veggies bowl, pizza . All meals devoured, sorry no pictures, or the server s name. Meals definitively enjoyed, all plates empty. Thanks to the kitchen for a great home cooked meal .

I recently booked a surprise party and the party was a success! When I first got there I was a little uneasy as it was my first large party hosting event and it appeared the majority of the staff were new. We had the party room beside the patio and it was a great space, I just did not live that everyone had to walk through to get to the tent party or the patio but that is an issue that cannot be rectified because of the space. The two servers we had all night were fantastic! I have never had such a positive experience with serving staff. They always checked in with me to make sure I had everything I needed and always had the biggest smiles on their faces! My only concern is the portions of the food versus the cost. The pizzas are 24 slices that are the size of sticky notes and the wings are about 24 wings per order. I was very nervous there wasnt enough food and definitely should have ordered some more. The food was delicious, but would just appreciate larger portions. All attendees have complimented numerous times on how good the party was! I am very grateful for the great staff and based on that alone I would definitely book an event there again!

Enjoyed an evening of live music unfortunately a lot of food and wine was sold out. Made the best of it and enjoyed the music.

Amazing! This was our first time visiting and everything was delightful. Our waiter Logan was excellent. We brought our small yorkie with us since the patio is pet friendly. Staff brought him out a water bowl and was so kind. We will be back!

I could not recommend this restaurant less without standing in the doorway, physically turning people away. Recently had an 80th birthday party in one of their private rooms and the experience was terrible. There were 14 of us and although that is a big party the restaurant failed to provide a dedicated server with the experience to handle a party of that size. The server was hard to find, the food took over two hours and was so slow in coming out that some people were finishing their meals before other people got theirs. Two meals were completely forgotten about and when they were asked for they had clearly been left under the heat lamp (the server admitted as much). A salad was ordered without cheese and was delivered with two types of cheese. When questioned about it the server blamed the kitchen but made no attempt to take it away until it was placed in her hand. In all, 2 meals were not eaten because they were over cooked, two salads were not fresh and the server did not once ask if there was an issue with the meals. Drinks were slow to be refilled, cutlery and side plates had to be asked for (there were 5 sets of cutlery put out for 14 people). We brought in our own cake (with permission) and ended up rushing through that because we had been there for 3 hours - again had to ask for cutlery and plates while our dirty dishes remained on the table. The restaurant was empty and even if the patio was busy (which it was not) the restaurant was well under capacity so there was no reason that the kitchen should have been caught off guard when a reservation for 14 was made. There should have been more than one server for that many people and the server(s) should have been tasked with focusing on the party. To add insult to injury the server never asked about or offered to take anything of the bill for the overcooked and uneaten meals and then added an automatic gratuity of 18% to the bill. Dietary restrictions: Ordered a salad without cheese due to dietary restrictions and it was delivered with two types of cheese.

Disgusting went there on Mothers Day garbage food buffet not one item was hot. Bacon barely cooked, eggs were cold, dried out garbage. Here s hoping we don t get sick from this food. Service was zero to none!!! We will never be back !!!

We reserved the Private Molson Room for a dinner meeting and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The separate room provided the perfect atmosphere for our needs and the food and service were a great bonus!

The food was good.. Our girl was very excited for 1st easter egg hunt today.. BUT we are very DISAPPOINTED for this event. Its not organize at all!. One family acted like a family of GRINCH that stole all the easter eggs while the rest of the kids are still eating and no one ever check on them and stop what theyre doing. It is very unfair for the rest of the kids that expecting they can hunt atleast and egg or two, ended up going home with empty basket as theyres nothing left for them to hunt. We are so fortunate that we got 8pcs and we gave 2pcs to the other childs basket to make him happy. We saw that family leaving as fast as they can while the rest of the childrens run outside to start the hunting(WHICH ONLY FEW LEFT) Out of hundreds as per the stuff have said. My husband saw the mother of those kids that took 90% of the eggs went out to their car to put the 1st few bags they got and came back and hunt for more. VERY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR of that family!. Hope they enjoy all their eggs while other kids had NONE!!!. SOUTCOTE Please make sure to not let this happens Again for the coming years.

The rating is based on previous food from this place. They are not perfect... ordering a burger from this place, I thought, based on previous visits and ordering out, it would taste good. The burger was not it came with bacon overcooked, almost black too crispy.the burger was also overcooked, crispy, and blackened, not appealing. The only saving grace was BBQ sause and aoli they slathered on. It seems like to cover the well-done meat. Although my previous experiences with this place keep it in a high rating, I would in future tell them when ordering a burger to cook it to medium and not kill all the taste by overcooking.

This is a hard review for me.. the staff was absolutely amazing and super friendly.. the food was amazing as well.. but the portions were way too small for the price you charge.. yes two eggs 2 sausage and 2 bacon and sour dough bread is good but a 1/4 of a potato the cheapest thing you could offer ? Get rid of the strawberry and orange and fill the plate with hash browns to fill the plate up.. people want value for their money.. again it was good but not worth the price

We hosted an event for my daughter. In the back room. It was a private, bright, and spacious atmosphere. The set up by the staff exceeded my expectations and the food/service was wonderful!! We ordered the white table linens for an extra cost and it really elevated the space..

Attended the Easter bunny brunch.. it was awful. Disorganized and over priced. Was seated at 10am, got our first coffee at 10:55am. Kids go thier food at 1110 and adults got food at 1130. It was a preset menu, so there is no reason food should have taken so long. They started the egg hunt at 1130 and was done by 1132. They didnt have enough eggs for the kids. I will never attend again. Paid over $100 for 3 kids and 2 adults breakfast.

I had a wrap, the chicken was like rubber. Disappointing . Of of us were there 4 of us the shrimp and chicken was over cooked. The restaurant really has gone down hill. Very sad, great location.:(

Dear Restaurant Manager, I am writing to express my disappointment with the service my wife and I received at your restaurant on Sat 24th 2024. We had reservations for 7pm and were looking forward to a nice evening out. However, our experience was far from enjoyable. Upon being seated, we waited for 15 minutes before a waitress came to our table. It then took almost 20 minutes for us to receive our drinks, which were a non-alcoholic beer and a Virginia Caesar. Another waitress then informed us that there was no non-alcoholic beer available and that the Caesar was extra spicy. We finally placed our order for a steak sandwich, wings, and salad. After waiting for 40 minutes, our food still had not arrived. Meanwhile, two other tables of four that were seated after us had already received their meals. Since no waitress came to check on us, I had to go to the bar to ask for a manager. After 10 minutes, a lady came to our table and informed us that she was not the manager, but was just helping out. I explained to her that we had been waiting for well over an hour and still had not received our food. She offered a variety of excuses, citing a busy night and a slow kitchen, but seemed to show little concern for our situation. She said she would go check on our order, but after another 15 minutes, we had had enough and left. My wife and I dont get many opportunities to go out for dinner, and we were excited to support a local establishment, especially one that was under new management. To say that we were disappointed with our experience is an understatement. I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and take steps to improve the service at your restaurant. We were extremely dissatisfied with our experience and hope that no other customers have to go through what we did. Sincerely, Very unhappy customer!

Cliche, but if there was a zero option, that would be my review. We have had customer service issues here in the past but mostly good meals. With Ancaster having limited dinner options we decided to give it another chance. Hopeful for the best and a nice meal, we went to the wait stand and we, well, waited. And waited. Servers walked past; not a smile, not a hello, not a someone will be right with you . 10 + minutes. Nothing, no acknowledgment whatsoever. Very rude and unprofessional. Safe to say that I ll never spend another dollar there again. Disappointing because the restaurant has a great bar and atmosphere but the manager and staff need obvious customer service training and should be held accountable. Reading through some other reviews, I am not alone in my opinion. I ll take the family and spend $100 elsewhere.

Was there for trivia night good times

Our meal was okay. My partner had the butter chicken, and he said it was good, spicy, but good. I had the roast beef Yorkie. It was a little disappointing. They ran out of mashed potatoes, so the meal was served with fries. It was a letdown. The gravy had an undertaste of some sort. I couldnt pinpoint the taste but it was off. The roast beef was a little dry. I was not a fan of the Yorkie. Very average meal.

I cannot thank Southcote 53 enough for being so accommodating and being able to seat 5 adults, 4 toddlers and 2 babies within a matter of 15 mins. We had made other plans for my daughter s birthday, but unforeseen circumstances left us scrambling for a place to eat/celebrate. Southcote not only rose to the occasion, they went over and above. The staff printed out colouring pages, our server was patient and kind and efficient! I had to take the time to provide this feedback because it really saved the day. Thank you Southcote and sorry we were noisy/choatic. I appreciate the understanding, support and outstanding service, food and DRINKS for the parents lol.

Attended a Life Celebratiln for a Dear Friend, his family did a lovely job and the staff and facility were excellent! Wheelchair accessibility: 100% accessible including washrooms!

On the busiest day of the year, Mar 17, they did a great job on food and drink. Roast beef dinner was great.

Went in with a few friends, but we only had some drinks. The staff was very friendly, and the place smelled of good food. Next time, I will try the food. I did notice that the only people in the place were seniors, but still a good vibe.

My wife , son and l live 20 minute walk from Southcote 53 and decided to walk down for diner Sunday, the feature was the roast beef Yorkie , my wife ordered it , l had the jerk chicken and my son the lobster salad sandwich(something like that) we also shared the Brie charcuterie board , the Brie board was excellent but a couple more little toasts were needed, the few grapes were cut in half probably cause they were old and mushy, the jerk chicken was really just ok at beast, so not the carribean flavor that l was excited for, my sons sandwich was in his words ( its ok ) but the roast beef was dry as can be , she didnt like the mashed potatoes eather , we all tasted it and all thought that a swanson roast beef tv diner was better, we all had water and our bill was 110.00 plus my tip of 25.00 cause our watress (althou waited maybe 10 to 15 minutes for her to come back to take our order after saying please give us another minute) did her best and was great otherwise, we left with my wife hungry and disappointed cause she wouldnt eat it, our walk home we talked about where can we walk that is close enough on future outings as we cant go back to Southcote 53, Sunday roast beef feature you could expect a quality meal , didnt happen.

One of the greatest hidden gems in Ancaster. Lots going on year round! An owner that realizes great food, great service and great atmosphere makes it worth every penny. Live music on the patio in the summer, events galore! Dietary restrictions: Impressed! Even offer Gluten friendly buns for thr burgers! Parking: Lots of free parking in private lot on site. Kid-friendliness: During regular hours, kids are welcome. Very family friendly. There are some adults only events check their social media to be sure.

Servers were nice but the food was a joke. This was the steak and eggs (see photo) the steak was the size of a meatball. They ended up compensating us for the steak and eggs but how can you serve this. Otherwise update your website photos to the real dish. Food came out in stages, the birthday girl ended up getting served last. I won t be back.

Amazing prices and food. I hadnt been there in years. I wrongly assumed it was going to super expensive. The experience was amazing from the moment we walked in greeted immediately waitress took our drink order told us the specials and we had our appetizer in no time...the baked brie amazing .

Yuk yuks was dong a show in the back room, there is no door to block the sound. It was extremely loud, which made it difficult to talk at my table in the main dining area. My brie was not melted enough on my chicken sandwich. It was tasty, but more melting wouldve been nice.

Plenty of parking, on this evening 01/12/2024, they advertise the Friday s Fish & Chips Special-Halibut or Haddock with fries, coleslaw and their home made tartar sauce. The online ordering system wasn t working, wife went in and ordered the one dinner of (2) pieces of Haddock & Chips for $17.00 + HST. The place was just starting to fill in, the order was ready within about 15 minutes. Don t want to diss any businesses, but wasn t particularly keen on the fries (don t know if it was the type of potato or way in which they were fried) the beer battered Haddock was good ((2) generous size of battered fish, that tasted good. The small containers of coleslaw was OK, the homemade tartar sauce, tasted something like mayo mixed with a kind of relish. Had a small slice of lemon for the fish. All the other pictures on their menu looked appetizing, first time there (we had the take-out special) exclusively on Friday nights for the Fish & Chips. Heard good things about this establishment, but we don t drink alcohol, so wouldn t feel compelled dining inside. So that s why I m only giving it a 3 out 5 Star rating , solely on the Fish & Chips. All the other food I can t vouch for. Parking: Huge parking lot-With designated Handicap spots also (front of entrance).

Went here for the first time yesterday. Went to see the drag show,. Ive been to many dragshows however not at Southcote. There was lots of room. Food was great. Service was excellent. Definitely recommend this restaurant!!

Last night, five of us went for dinner. Our server, Lisa, was absolutely awesome. She was very friendly, energetic, and helpful. Her food recommendations were spot on. Each and everyone of us enjoyed our meal thoroughly. The appetizers we ordered were great and so were our main courses. Everyone went home fall and happy. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful evening.

We had a party in the event tent. It was beautiful and everything went perfectly. The food was very good and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend considering this place if you are planning a party.

We went for a birthday dinner and made a reservation for a party of 8. The place was fairly empty but we had to wait for them to clean and put tables together for our reso. The decor is pretty boring and the whole place could use a bit of a face lift. Our server did not take our orders for quite some time and made some small errors - she seemed stress. The place was having a large event in a tent outside and it was taking up a lot of attention. Food was good but nothing special. They were out of the first three beers we asked for (these were all draught). Overall very underwhelming.

We really enjoyed our visit to Southcote. The patio is spacious and has a great vibe. Our party had several different food items including wings, salads, burgers, and pasta. Everything was a hit except for the nachos which were pretty average at best. All in all a good spot.

I love the patio and its atmosphere at Southcote 53. However, the food is rather mediocre, and we were not impressed with the extra charge for a tiny bit of extra barbeque sauce, and for the vegetables and dip that usually come with the chicken wings at most places. Their food could use some improvement for sure.

I stopped here for lunch with my Mom and Sister to celebrate my Sisters belated Birthday. My Mom and I ordered hamburgers and my Sister ordered the homemade chicken tenders. Our burgers came out lukewarm and unfortunately there wasnt much flavour to them. It was a bit disappointing but the chicken tenders were delicious. The service was decent so maybe it was just an off day in the kitchen. I would give this place another try. They did discount our bill to make up for the cold burgers so that was appreciated.

Something has changed. Southcote 53 used to be our go to. Good atmosphere, good food and free entertainment. Some time ago we stopped in and had the chicken wrap. We waited 40 minutes from the time we ordered. The chicken was burnt ... couldnt eat it and left a bad taste in my mouth. Same with my wifes. The fries we got were more like the leftover crumbs, than french fries. Manager apologized and said no charge. We recently returned as we have a gift card. My wife and I ordered burgers. Service was good. Fries were good. But the meat in the burger was over cooked, dry and tasteless. The fixings on the burger were fresh, but thats all I can say positive. Also noticed outdoors, stacks of chairs at the front outside, front garden was full of tall weeds. Things are getting kind of shabby looking. Used to be nice looking. We had in the past loved to go to their patio with our friends for a meal while enjoying the entertainment. Now they sell tickets... so I pay for the entertainment? Really? I know they sometimes have free live music, but not near as often as they seem to want to fill with trivia, comedy and entertainment you need to pay for. To me something has really changed. We wont be back any time soon.

Tasty dry ribs. The sauced ribs were tougher. Potatoes are plain. Service was really great and the patio is nice this time of year.

Attended this place for a big birthday party. The outside and party room was great for such an occasion. Staff worked hard and was very friendly to make sure everyone always had a drink.

The atmosphere is great and the vibe and service. The smash burger is neither smashed or tasty. I would advise you to stay away from burgers. Smash burgers usually have thin patties and crispy edges. The burger patty was dry and felt like it was frozen. The veggies and bun were good.

Great experience. Never been and went after picking up our daughter at the airport. Great patio that was dog friendly. Food was plentiful and tasty. Service was polite and professional. We were very happy

This place is amazing!!! The food was just perfect!! We ordered the Big Kahuna Burger, Bang Bang Shrimp, and the Prime Rib Poutine. Everything was just absolutely delicious. The Poutine was PROPERLY MADE with Cheese in the middle. The burger was juicy in every single bite!! The service was very good with Christy ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this restaurant and were definitely coming back to try some more.

Relatively slow service for no apparent reason as the restaurant was not busy. Food was more expensive than other similar restaurants near by, plus they overcharged us and acted like they were doing us a favour by fixing their mistake. The wings were mediocre at best and the fries had an odd aftertaste (most likely they have not changed the oil in a long time) The patio is nice but you have to walk through a private party room to access it. People are not allowed to smoke on the patio but they are allowed to smoke in the parking lot that surrounds the patio, so we did get a healthy dose of secondhand smoke...on behalf of myself and my kids thanks for that. Will not go back and definitely do not recommend. Go to the Coach, Brassie or Collins they are established and reliable alternatives and will not disappoint like this place. Too be fair, maybe they were having a bad day, so give it a try if you feel so inclined and see for yourself.

Very loud so its hard to hear people at our own table, especially when the restaurant has many people in it. Service is incredible. Food is great but not as good as I was expecting.

Open concept which is nice. Lots of people (white Caucasians), Great flavoured food. Small portions. Expensive. The minimum tip they ask is 15%. Service is good.

We had lunch as part of a group of 9. Our reservation was for noon and we mentioned to our server that we had to leave by 1:15 as my wife had an appointment for chemotherapy. Our orders were not taken until 12:38 when we once again stressed our deadline to leave. We were served first but the food did not arrive until 1:10. We immediately asked for To Go boxes and the bill. At 1:15 the server appeared but said she would need another minute. At 1:20 I went looking for our server to see her at another table with our boxes in one hand while she leisurely took the orders from another table of 4. This is a totally unacceptable level of service. To add insult to injury, when I presented my credit card to rush through the billing process, instead of handing me the device to allow me to complete the transaction she did it herself and awarded herself a gratuity to reward herself for what I am sure she felt was her exemplary service.

Food was fantastic! I had the prime rib panini and grlfriend had chicken quesadilla. Both were delicious. Patio was clean and comfortable. Victoria was great. Helpful and friendly.

We had a party of 7 today and the food was delicious and hot! Yes, the food is pricey but on par with other restaurants as prices for everything has gone up! Our server Danara was very friendly and attentive. Hope to be seated at her table when we go back!

Got the roast beed dinner for takeout. Absolute waste of money. Overcooked dry roast beef. No flavour. Pretty sure the vegetables are frozen as well. Very low quality food. It s not hard to cook a nice tender roast beef. My roast beef was completely grey in colour, firm and dry. Even the gravy had absolutely no flavour. Very concerning . Wouldn t reccomend

Our meal was great! The service was outstanding....portions are generous...highly recommend for a real down home meal!!!

Gluten free liver and onions for lunch...the liver was dry, the caramelized onions were not...barely passed over the fry pan and the mashed potatoes were cold, the veg was good. How could they even let that leave the kitchen? No pride or responsibility, the cook and the server should have been embarrassed

Fish and chips disgusting. Halibut was soggy and had a strong stench. The chips were soggy and undercooked. Coleslaw had zero flavour. This is the second time I ve come to this restaurant and the second time I ve been disappointed.

We had a Christmas dinner set up for 22 people. They stuck us in a room that was way too small. Some people sat in the doorway. The food came out all cold. The steak was so thin and fatty. My first bite i spit out after chewing and chewing. It was smothered in some sort of sauce that tasted like mud. I think they smothered it so you couldnt tell how cheap and thin the cut of steak was. For $67 per person, i was expecting much more. I will remember this dinner for the rest of my life. It was the worst meal Ive ever had. Run away fast... DONT EAT HERE.

The kids breakfast with Santa, what a joke! Kid got two palm size pancakes with whipped cream, 5 chocolate chips on top and a cup of chocolate. We were in the main room staring at the bar, watching spots commentaries. Santa in another room a bit more decorated, came out twice to stand by the bar not even to the tables to greett the kids. All this for $14.99 per kid . The adults breakfast menu, dont even get me started! Good was not good, ambience was not good, at least get some decor from the dollar store, play some xmas music, play holiday movies or something. Wow! Between the adult meals and the kids meal they made a killing. Oh I forgot the gift, he got to pick from a basket full of dollar store junk in his way out. Never again!

Had husbands Christmas party here. Food was excellent. Had a room to ourselves. Stayed almost 3 hours. Drinks are satisfactory. Service was good. Parking: Lots of parking. 3 washrooms. Clean. Lots of room inside of restaurant. Appetizers were excellent as were the main meals. Too full to try the dessert menu.

Attended Christmas party. Hot food was luke warm at best. Steak was a little on the rare side and not very hot. Appys were delicious as was dessert.

An update to my review, We were invited back for a meal by Cheryl the manager for Southcote bar and grill. What a difference, Tonight we had a group go again. So glad we went again. The food came out hot and was delicious. Steak was cooked exactly how I like it. Everyone s food was enjoyed, hot and great portions. Service was good once again. Glad we had a chance to talk to Cheryl. Thanks once again for the opportunity to come back. First I will start with our reservations, we booked a room for 21 people and we re given a menu to choose from. We decided to go with the $50 choice which gave the choice of Salmon,Steak, chicken. A salad and cannoli. One week before our Xmas party we were told that the price is another $4 per person, remember that s plus tax, and 18% gratuity. We had a contract and the planner finally agreed to honour it. When we arrived the room was ready, and the server greeted us, Desiree was very attentive to our group and another helped her. Service was good. Now, the food came out, salads were good, along with Cannoli. The main course was the worst we have ever had, steaks cold, gravy on top of meat had congealed, potatoes Luke warm at best, vegetables not cooked. 10 people had steak and this was everyone s comment. The salmon was at best Luke warm and over cooked, vegetables also undercooked. Rice was okay. The chicken was okay by the few that had it. Honestly we will never go here again, there is no excuse for food prepared like we received. Again thanks to Desiree for making our night go smoothly.
