We were happy to return to this hidden gem in Ancaster. We received a friendly greeting upon arrival. We had reservations and were seated promptly. We did not feel rushed and our waitress went over the specials, and asked us about any allergies at our table. She was wearing a name tag that was visible. The restaurant is very warm and decorated appropriately, lighting not offensive and background noise perfect for conversation. We all ordered the special which was like a mini buffet of the most popular dishes. Not skimpy and all were delicious. We will be back. Also wanted to note on how clean everything was especially the restrooms. If you think people don't notice ...I do. Nice to see restauranteurs take pride in their establishment. Tony B.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Only problem is expect atleast 45 mins to an hour to wait for your food once you order. Maybe it’s a sign that they make it fresh :)
Deliciously authentic Indian cuisine that will leave you craving for more! The staff were warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, making our dining experience truly exceptional. Standout dishes and impeccable service - a must-visit for any Indian food lover!"
I had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional restaurant today and was thoroughly impressed! The ambience is warm and inviting, with impeccable maintenance that sets the tone for a wonderful experience. The culinary delights did not disappoint - I savored the delectable chicken tikka masala, paired with flavorful rice and freshly baked plain naan. What truly stood out, however, was the outstanding service. The staff were incredibly cooperative, patient, and attentive, making our visit truly memorable. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their mouth-watering offerings!"
Our experience at the restaurant was truly enjoyable, largely due to the excellent service provided by Supritha. Following her insightful recommendations, we ordered two special dishes that turned out to be outstanding. Supritha's patience and meticulous assistance greatly contributed to our positive dining outcome. The restaurant itself was impeccably clean and boasted a cozy ambiance. The music, while not overly loud, added an interesting touch. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment for a delightful dining experience.
Very nice Indian restaurant. Enough quantity & very Delicious food. Nicely decorated. Only thing I don’t like is waiting unnecessary. There were many seats available, still they put us to wait more than 15-20 minutes.
Best Indian food in the region, we’ve been regular diners and takeout customers for over 15 years. Super tasty, they always deliver a great meal. Very popular takeout choice in our extended family for birthday parties when we don’t want to cook. Delightful owner. Very reliable takeout, generous portions and fair pricing. Highly recommend.
We visited India Village for the first time this evening. We had a wonderful experience. The food was very fresh and full of flavour. We started with the onion Bhaji and samosa. Both were very very good. Best bhaji I’ve had. I also tried their mango lassi. SO good. Our table tried the coconut curry with chicken, the traditional curry with lamb, chicken korma and jalfrezi with beef. As well as garlic and buttered naan. Everyone loved their dishes. The meat was very tender and each dish had a plentiful amount of meat. The servings were also large, we all ended up taking some home. We will certainly return.
The best Indian Food in town.
My recent dining experience at Ancaster India Village was a flavorful journey through the diverse and delectable world of Indian cuisine. The prawns garam Mirch masala I indulged in packed a punch with its fiery spice, yet the burst of flavors was utterly delicious. My wife savored her all-time favorite, the murg Irani, while my mom delighted in the rich and aromatic lamb Rogan Josh Kashmir. Even my kids were pleased with their beloved butter chicken and garlic naan, which were served alongside fragrant rice and crisp salad. However, despite the culinary delights, the experience was slightly marred by the seating arrangements. Despite the restaurant being empty, I requested a larger table, only to be informed that all tables were booked. Throughout the hour and a half we spent there, the majority of the tables remained unoccupied, leaving us cramped in a small booth. Despite this inconvenience, the attentive service and mouthwatering dishes still made our visit to Ancaster India Village a memorable one.
Update! The food, service and value is as good as ever. 10/10 We will keep returning! ------- I dined with a small group of colleagues for lunch. The lunch specials were excellent. Service was good.
My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner this evening! Beautiful place and exceptionally clean! Much appreciated.
We ordered 7 different dishes for takeout and every dish tasted unique and incredibly flavourful. It s a family favourite!
Had the pleasure of participating in their cooking classes, great experience and great food. This restaurant really cares about their ingredients, head chef is very knowledgeable.
Best Indian food in Hamilton
food was so horrible, rogan josh was tomato soup absolutely don t recommend. Not even close to authentic Indian food.
Worst resturant and bad management. They have no rules and nothing to follow. I travelled all thr way for 2 hours a d google says its was open and but the resturant was closed. What nonsense. If they don t want to then why they put in in google.
If you re looking for authentic flavourful Indian food, then this is the place for you. I ordered butter chicken, Veggie Kourma, plain white rice, and garlic naan. I will say though, as good as the food was, it was not cheap. Costed an arm and a leg lol. Just a heads up for those looking to dine-in. The food was genuinely good tho, so I guess it s worth it.
Ordered twice via Uber in the last week. The vindaloo and Tika Masala incredible. The Naan next level.
Me and my friend Cody love going there to eat! Awesome place to go!
The food was great. Portions were ge erouse. Flavors were fabulous.
Best Indian food Ive had! The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff goes above and beyond for their customers. Large portions too. Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian, gluten free and vegan options. Parking: Lots of parking spaces available. Big parking lot.
My wife and I dine here several times a year. The owner is always gracious and her staff is so polite and make excellent suggestions on the menu. The reviews on this restaurant are always great. Can t wait till our next meal there. Don & Angela Wilson
Just homely atmosphere and the foods are really yummy . I always prefer this place for small group treats and family dine ins. Vegetarian options: Lots of yummy veggie foods for vegetarian as well
The tomato soup was outstanding. A little on the spicy side but fantastic. Bathrooms were super clean.
Best in the GTA!
Best authentic Indian Food. We have visiting the restaurant for 10 years and the quality of food and service is par excellence
excellent job India village Loved everything I ordered Food
Worst customer service at the front.
We had reservations this evening for 5pm. We arrived at 4:45pm and were seated. Our server never came to take our order until 5:10pm. When she came and we ordered appetizers she said that it would take at least 1 hour for shrimp because they were busy. At this time there were 6 people sat in the restaurant! When we asked to speak to the manager she did not come. We had to go to the front to speak to the manager who was extremely rude and only concerned about the take out orders that she was taking over the phone. Service was extremely disappointing as we have ordered from here before, however we will never again. After we left we drove to the Prince of India in Burlington and would highly recommend this Indian, the drive was shorter than our wait at Indian Village.
Love the food and the cultural elements in there
The hours are not correct. I drove an hour to get dinner with my family and I found a paper saying they are close from 2:30 to 4:30 and that is not specified on google.
The food is delicious. The staff is so nice ana caring. It is definitely the best indiam food I ever had.
I love this resteraunt, my partner and I go here every now and again and the service is always great.. Authentic food that is absolutely delicious everytime
Delicious food. Probably the best Indian in the area. If you love spice and flavour I highly recommend the Garam Mirch Masala. It has heat but full of flavour. Onion Bhaji was perfect. Portions were great. Staff were very friendly. Lots of vegan options as well
Amazing place - great good and friendly service
I had a great time here. The food was delicious, especially the butter chicken, chicken korma, panner madras with garlic naan. The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. I recommend it if you enjoy Indian cuisine!
Our go to place for Indian.
Authentic food, tip-top service dining in or out. I am slowly working through the menu, but it is so hard when you have a favorite dish. Chicken is so tender. Medium spice is about as hot as I can go, and if its a tad too much, just ask for some yogurt Chicken pakora + onion bajis for starters. Jackie and Nick, thank you for the exceptional service and food.
After a day spent marveling at waterfalls, we stopped by an Indian restaurant intending to enjoy just a cup of tea. However, the aroma and ambiance quickly drew us into an early dinner that turned out to be a delightful culinary experience. We started with the Paneer Chaat, which was flavorful and perfectly spiced, and the Chicken Fulkari Kabab, which was tender and beautifully cooked. But it was the Chole Bhature that truly stole the show. The dish instantly transported me back to the bustling streets of Delhi, with its authentic taste and perfect balance of spices. To complement our meal, we ordered Masala Chai, which was refreshingly infused with saunf (fennel seeds). It provided the perfect ending to our meal, leaving us satisfied and invigorated. Service was bit slow because of the sudden crowd, but the servers did put their best effort to accomodate all. This unexpected dinner was a highlight of the day, offering a genuine taste of India that left a lasting impression. Vegetarian options: Way too many options for vegetarians. Dietary restrictions: They ask about allergies or diet restrictions while taking order and takes note.
We ordered a takeaway out. Food was great and service was great!
Have ordered from the Ancaster location many times and it s been great but today we decided to go in for lunch. The 3 of us ordered the lunch special. It was so delicious. It was also very reasonably priced. We were fully satisfied with the quantity and quality. It s nicely decorated and the service was great. Can t wait to go again!
Consistency is the key and quality ingredients and preparation of all their menu items speaks to itself in the finished product.
Food was great, freshly made with the right amount of spice Parking: Small plaza with a couple of parking spaces Food : 5/5 |
Great indian restaurant in town. Always recommended Food
Absolutely best Indian food I have had for some time. Being from the UK, all we have is Indian food, and this place was the best by far. Feed Back: There was an electrical fault flickering the lights. given the effort on the decore, I thought this was just normal ware and tare and probs out of their control. Service: To be frank, the service was not the best, and considering it was $50 + per head with 3 other customers in the whole resteraunt, there was no real other possible explanation. Objectively, the owner was very attentive and compensated and engaged us beyond the traditional Hows your food. This I really appreciated. I did not feel the server deserved a tip. Seating: the boths were nice and to be frank we where offered a larger table. the issue with the booths where they were not fixed to the floor, and so my 8 year old managed to move the whole booth while climbing out to the toilet. disrupting the table behind us. equally, there was a little foot room underneath, but I have size 12, so unless youre a giant, then you should be fine. Pickle tray: this was poor and considering the rest of the food it was a supprise. In the UK, it is customary as a paid appetizer with many different selections. here was just mango chutney and, frankly, the cheap kind equally the pompadoms are not the best. I am happy to pay for a good selection please concider adding this as a menu item and giving it the same excellence as the rest of your food
Thanks india village ancaster. Rashdeep provide an exceptional customer service. The food was delicious as well.
Have been going here for the last 5+ years. Nothing beats this place. By far the best around. Amazing owners.
Must try paneer Punjabi tadka, best best best paneer dish I have ever had in Hamilton, Only one recommendation, please add more of the veg starter , , taste wise you are 10/10 Food
Superb all around! A must visit stop if youre in the area.
Excellent Restaurant! the food here is one of the best Indian restaurants i have tried in canada. The Malai Chicken sizzler and the chicken korma are out of the world, I would recommend everyone to try this place! Thank you so much aunty for the amazing food and service i am definitely a regular here now!
This place is best Indian food. When you enter this place aroma of spaces in amazing. Owner always super friendly and chef is excellent .You have to try and you will always go back. Place is always spotless .
I highly recommend this restaurant!
Food was bland and service was below par. If you are looking for authentic Indian food, I wouldn t recommend it. If you are someone who doesn t like hot Indian food, this could be an option for you as the flavours are toned down, mild and a bit bland!
Really good! Service was great.
Food is so Delicious. Good customer service.
Awesome food and service as always!! Today Feb 3, 2024 was quite possibly the best service and food ever. Its always been great, but surpassed our expectations. Keep it up everyone.
We spend about $90 for three dishes and some naan. We eat for like 3-4 more days. Its incredible value, not to mention it tastes phenomenal. Vegetarian options: Veggie options are great, most can be made vegetarian. No loss of flavour here, either.
Food is delicious and staff are friendly. Sometimes goat is even available on the menu at request!
Both Cauliflower pakora and Onion bhaji tasted the same! Ajwain flavour was over dominating. Onion Bhaji was like pakora only Paneer Shandaar Chaat tasted like bread pakora with green and imilli chutney! Masala chai tea wasn t hot enough!
Great great great.... Whats up...Whats up...Whats up
Awful service Rude staff Food was below average
awful service, rude stuff
Excellent experience
Beef korma was outstanding. We also had the lamb biryani and the beef biryani. All the food was thoroughly enjoyable. Our server Sehaj was really good as he was very attentive and made some great suggestions. Highly recommended place to visit and have their food as well as enjoy the ambience. Washroom was also clean and smelled very good especially for a mens bathroom.
I would give a negative star if possible. I went there to have a birthday dinner with my friends and ruined our mood completely. The staffs were rude and the food was pathetic. I feel sorry for all the white people who believe that s how Indian food tastes. Also, the girl at the cash register needs an attitude adjustment. I ve never written a review in my 27 years of life but I really want to give a heads up for everyone about this restaurant, IT S BETTER TO DIE IN HUNGER THAN HAVE FOOD FROM THIS RESTAURANT .
It was a fabulous experience visiting a village in India. It was my first time here after moving to Canada. I went to an Indian restaurant and it definitely didnt disappoint me at all. I went with my friends and we ate so much because the food was so delicious. The service was impeccable and I am 100% satisfied with their cleanliness. I like everything about Indian Village, including their staff who were very pleasant and always had a happy demeanor. I am definitely going to recommend it to my other friends and I cant wait to come back again.
Good portions, tasty food, decent service. Clean and nicely decorated space. Vegetarian options: Went with Plant based diners and they were very happy with the selections. Food : 4/5 |
Always a good time at India village Vegetarian options: Lots and lots of veggie options. No worries there. Dietary restrictions: Loads of options for dietary restrictions. I would double check for gluten however. Parking: Parking lot is small but I ve never not been able to park there. Kid-friendliness: They have high seats and whatnot for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Not sure
Take out so cannot rate atmosphere.
Has been there couple times now. This is so far the best Indian restaurant I have seen so far in Hamilton. I have been living here for the last 5 years. I just want them to include more veg options. I love this place. Parking: You will get parking spot, I get them every time I visit. Remember to book in advance for special events and holidays, if possible.
We ordered Paneer tikka masala, chana masala, butter chicken and Karahi chicken, both garlic and butter naan and tawa roti Overall food was okay, like tawa roti was really thick, in some curries salt was lacking also we preferred medium spicy for all curries but some curries seemed very spicy to consume
Delicious food, friendly staff
Always so delicious!! The servers really make sure you understand how spicy your dish will be, because they want you to enjoy what you are eating!! Very attentive staff, very delicious food, our favourite place to get Indian food. Kid-friendliness: We brought out 8 month old daughter and she loved the food. The staff provided high chairs, and checked in on us regularly.
Great people, great service and great food! Jackie & Nick do an amazing job giving us authentic India cuisine. The Korma chicken is addictive!! Visit them soon. You can dine in or take out. Plenty of parking. RB Parking: Part of a strip plaza so lots of parking available. Kid-friendliness: Lots of room to accommodate children.
One of the best Indian food restaurants in town. Great customer service Good food. Food : 5/5
Best place to go for delicious Indian food. Love going here and trying different dishes. We got the lunch special and a chicken Tikka masala. Definitely recommend going here once every few weeks for a great meal.
The only good thing about this place is the ambience. I wouldn t want to remember the rest of it.
We experienced incredibly slow and unsatisfactory service. Overall, it was a disappointing experience; I dont think I ever returned to this place.
The food here is really good, I always make sure to order extra garlic naan bread because you can dip it in anything! Take out portions are really big so you can have it for dinner and still have enough for lunch the next day! Reasonable prices and the staff is very friendly. I generally ask for extra hot when I get curry and they definitely bring the heat!
Great food, excellent service details to customized spice level to enhance your dinning experience.
Excellent food! The service and atmosphere is great. I wish I could eat every day here. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Thank you India Village for the many pleasant dining experiences.
Wonderful experience here. Food is amazing. Place is meticulously clean.
Best food that i have ever tasted. Nice service and fully trained staff. It s very clean and immaculate. Do try butter chicken there. Overall, it s a very nice experience here and I loved the food.
Wonderful experience there. Everything was delicious and flavourful. I enjoyed eating there
LOVED THIS PLACE N FOOD specifically the interior details. Delicious Indian food n services either to dine in or take out. Amazed by the people n food they served . Must come here again n again
Always nice atmosphere and food. Traditional Indian cuisine. Nice lunch menu.
I dont know where to start. My first time going and the service and food was top notch. It will be my go to from now on. You are greeted as if you are one of the family.
Best Indian food, hands down. My husband and I have been eating here for years, not once have we been disappointed. Amazing portions and prices. Not to mention, Jackie is such a wonderful person. Favourite restaurant in Hamilton region by FAR!
Awesome food and good customer service. I have been eating at this place for about 8 years now. They have always rectified any issues if any with a smile. I dont have pictures today but will click next time.
Food and service is okay. A bit pricey though.
Service and food is average. Nice atmosphere, good place but nothing wow about it.
I ordered chicken biryani. It was very delicious with a generous amount of rice and chicken. I got Mild and its spices was just right. Loved the food. Will order again
This place is clean! I mean spotless! The owner ensures a clean and spotless kitchen. That s a big deal for me. Amazing food. 5 stars all the way!! Thanks Nick !
Food was great and the service was even greater!
Reached there around 7:00 PM and the sign said they are open till 9:00 PM. When we went in they said they are not serving anymore. Customer service was very poor.
Reached there around 8:00 PM they said they had closed early when the sign and their google listing said 9:00 PM. When we went in they said they started closing early as it was Sunday.
Great food, no matter which location you visit. Service was good too; service was fast, the staff were pleasant and we ll be heading back again. It s tucked away in amongst some other businesses, but still easy to find.
Great place. Great food.
I cant for their lunch menu. Its a good mix of food for lunch. Perfect for the solo diner. The lunch special has gone up in price but its still worth it
I had a delicious meal over here. It was a very satisfying .Excellent service was provided. I also like the cleanliness and everything was extremely organized.
I ate shahi paneer here it was very delicious, I really like the food service there, that dinner made my night amazing, specially thanks to the chef to made my food tasty. Everything is very clean included washrooms.I thing I will be regular there.
I love this restaurant! Food is always delicious and the service is great. Highly recommend :)
Fantastic! All of it was excellent, we had take out. Sorry to say but I think we ordered garlic Naan, but only got the plain. Parking lot was very busy with traffic and youll need to place orders very early, we ordered after 5 and got our food at 630 .
I like there food very much and everything is on the point specially the spicy level of paneer and naan are really soft overall 10/10 and customer service is really good specially Khushi (she did really good job she is very fast and arranging everything with manners I appreciated her) thank you
Best Indian food around. Excellent service and fast hot food served to the table. Awesome. Food : 5/5
What a heck of a find, and in Ancaster of all places (no offence Ancasterians if that s what you re called, Google couldn t provide me the answer)! Made fresh, authentic and affordable for a wonderful dine in experience with great hospitality and interior design. Lamb rogan josh was FILLED to the brim and was tenderly flavourful in all ways with the accompanying rice and veggies combo! Delicious onion naan to scoop up the remaining butter, and a memorable ras malai dessert that was refreshing and light.
Whats Indian food on this city I buy first time it is my first time and last time
Incredible food!
Excellent Indian restaurant Kind service - but sometimes its hard to understand the accent
I ve never had an issue at this restaurant, we always reserve for dinner knowing they are busy and never go anywhere to eat at 8pm. If anyone needs to eat that late go to McDonalds. Reason being is their food takes time to make and to place an order at 8pm is ridiculous. Have some courtesy.
I had the Punjabi Tarkar combo with an onion naan plus a starter of onion bhajis. Food was incredible. Service was top notch and the restaurant was very clean and well kept. I will be returning again the next I visit Ancaster. May be a reason just to visit Ancaster
The service is excellent, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is to be admired, the cuisine is truly excellent. They are quick in the kitchen but also take great care of the presentation, the best Indian restaurant Ive ever tried! Dietary restrictions: They have a range of gluten-free, lactose-free and vegan foods
Great food great presentation!
Sharing our dining experience.Came here based on the five star reviews. We were greeted nicely and seated but had to wait another 15 mins for some one to come and take the order, that also after we stopped them and asked to get the order. We were told, we will get our Chai(Teas) first. Waited for another 20 mins and still not even one item from our order was served. After 5 more mins our food came and the Tea was the last thing to arrive and it was an okay okay Tea. Rest of the food was good. We liked the garlic Naan, Shahi paneer and Madras chicken curry. Kashmiri pulav was not that great. Owner came towards the end and apologized for the delays, atleast glad most of the food was okay after the 35-40 mins of wait. Would suggest to inform the customers prior atleast if you are expecting delays or if certain items are not available (We tried to order sizzlers and appetizers but none of them were available).
Fantastic! Beautiful quality and flavour. Very nice people. I had plenty of leftovers too!
We had take out from Indian Village for the first time this weekend. The food was amazing. We had the dinner for 4 special. It was great value and lots of food. The tastes and colours were perfect. Well be having more meals from Indian Village. Try it you will not be disappointed.
Amazing, authentic food. Will definitely eat here again!
My fiancée and I tried this place before we even built our home in the area and it was our favourite Indian we ve had in a while. We finally moved in and wanted to celebrate by eating at our favourite restaurant in Ancaster. We showed up 15 minutes after they were supposed to be open and waited at the front door to be let in It was a snow storm outside and we thought we could quickly go inside. The young lady working that day looked both of us in the eye and had a literal staring contest for the better part of a minute. She then came to the door and told us that they were still preparing the restaurant. We asked if we could sit inside until ready and the answer was a no . We were appalled by the lack of customer service and haven t been back until tonight . (6 months later). We showed up tonight (Saturday April 19th) at 8:20pm (they are closing at 9). We walked in and saw 7-8 open tables and were told that they wouldn t sit us as we didn t have reservations. That s it, the last straw We won t be giving you our business. The complete lack of customer service is disgusting. This was the same girl that 6 months ago that told us to wait in the snow while she was preparing an empty restaurant 20 minutes after they were supposed to be open. The owner of this establishment needs to read the definition of customer service to their staff. Unreal.
I went to the Ancaster location with my family this evening. Ive been to this location previously and it was a good experience overall. The food is ok. The service can be lacking if youre South Asian. The restaurant is clean in the dining area. We had made reservations the day prior. We arrived tonight to a relatively empty restaurant. We were seated straight to the very back of the restaurant by the kitchen door. I noticed there were people seated in the front (all non Indian, mostly caucasian). I assumed we were seated so far in the back bcz it was booked full....but it was not. We were there for 2 hours & ordered several dishes. The only other people who were seated so far in the back were also south Asian. It rubbed me the wrong way as its a thing some south Asian restaurant owners do...to seat the caucasian patrons in the front or in window seats and they seat their own community in the back. They create a segregation and its a shame. Its my only complaint about this place...but its a big one for me. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options at various heat levels.
Absolutely the best indian food! The restaurant is immaculate and you can tell the owners take alot of care and pride in their customer experience. Lots of people get the lunch deal but I get the full plate - chicken Korma, garlic naan and rice. Ohhh I love the onion bahgie pakora for an appetizer. Yummmm.
Food was delicious and staff was very friendly and supportive!
Few days back i visited this restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff was good and treated us very well.
My recent visit to India Village Restaurant left me truly amazed by the exceptional service and warm hospitality that I experienced. Nestled in the heart of Wilson ancaster , this restaurant not only serves delicious Indian cuisine but also provides an unforgettable dining experience thanks to their outstanding service.
I have been coming here since Jackie opened the restaurant. The quality of the food, flavour and portion size is always consistent. The service is amazing, they strive to give you the best dining experience. Its truly a gem in the Hamilton area, the best indian food by far! Vegetarian options: Lots on the menu to choose from.
My experience in this restaurent was amazing. I love The vegetable biryani and okra a lot, its soo tempting . Chef in this restaurent have Stunning and Magical skills. The service is very good. This is one of the hygienic restaurent I had ever visited. I recommend all to try food from this restaurent specially by visiting there, so that you all have the chance to have good service along with scrumptious food.
Just tried food here and I can say that they have the best Indian food here. Anyone living nearby must try their food and they have the best customer service.
Best food and best customer service!!
Delicious food and great service. I have been coming here for years for both take out and dine in. The food is amazing and is always consistent. I have recommended this restaurant to many people who have taken my recommendation and have become regular customers as well. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I highly recommended this to anyone.
Loved this place.. must visit.. I highly recommend their Aaloo tikki.. Must eat
Food was delicious very good atmosphere and designs of restaurant
Awesome People. Awesome Food.
Food has met and exceeded my expectations, outstanding service.
Great food and atmosphere but not enough wait staff.
Tha food is absolutely delicious. Jackie and Nick are very welcoming and warm. Thank you guys! Would recommend this place any time.
INDIA VILLAGE has such a beautiful menu in-house prepared for any time of the day ... you must try it. We arrived to host guests to lunch and then my husband and I dined ourselves. The lunch tasting menu was amazing it was so hard to choose, but you can never go wrong with Butter Chicken and Mango Lassi. The heat intensities were specifically ordered as I like it spicy and him, not so much...and we were so pleased how spot on they were to our desired heat preferences. Lunch was delicious. I also ordered some Samosas to enjoy at home and they were big, yummy, and hit the 6 pm menu at home. Chef Nick and Jackie are delightful hosts who appreciate every customer and make everyone feel welcome. And I cannot forget to mention their wait staff team. The staff were incredibly service excellence focused and proud of their work interactions. If you havent been yet, you must check out India Village Ancaster ... and yes, they have a Dundas location as well! Cheers, Spicy Jan
One of the best Indian restaurant in ancaster, awesome food, grt hospitality n ambience
Beautiful, classy, restaurant with delicious food! Service was on point. Great for date night or gatherings
Hands down some of the best Indian dishes I have ever had, try the Korma and the butter chicken, friendly family fun restaurant
Always a great dining experience. Exceptional food quality with generous portions at reasonable prices. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere with a friendly and courteous staff. My go to place for a casual night out or a healthy take out meal.
Great food at a great value! The very friendly and accommodating staff provide exemplary service. Fantastic Indian food bursting with flavour! Would highly recommend.
Eating here once again, now making my way through their signature dishes: jalfrezi, coconut curry, and more. All of them wonderful and distinct. The chef prepares the sauces to order it appears, and despite having some common ingredients, each sauce is very distinct in spice and flavour. Looking forward to continuing my menu journey!
Hands down the BEST Indian Food in the area! Jackie is very hospitable and ensures your dining experience will be great. If stock is available, they have Kingfisher Beer, which is a nice treat that you dont see often. Highly Recommend!
We visited this amazing Indian place recently, and the food is to die for ! Their portions were big and filling, and flavours captured the essence of Indian food ! Will visit again
We went for a quick meal to Indian Village as we have heard a lot of its delicious food! And it did not disappoint us! We ordered a garlic naan, tandoori roti, Karahi paneer! The food was delicious.. the paneer and the spices were a perfect blend!! however the sides of tandoori roti were undercooked.. but would highly recommend this spot for some Indian delicacies specially in Hamilton!! We will def be visiting again to try their different items!!
Everyone was super nice, friendly, very fast service, and compliments to the chef. Food was 11 out of 10, the Saag gosht was one of the most flavourful things i ve EVER tasted
Very good food. Had the palak aloo with rice, naan and a lassi. Yummy!
The food was just okay, and I was surprised by an additional charge for an empty container to take my remaining food home. This left a negative impression,I hope the restaurant considers revising their policies for a better customer experience, but I wont be coming back after this experience
So tasty, so comforting, wonderful, delicious Indian food. The chef definitely takes pride in each plate he prepares. I had the chicken tikka masala which came with yellow basmati rice, a fresh green salad and a pea & potato salad. Every bite was scrumptious, the presentation of the food was artistic, the restaurant itself is like an art gallery of Indian paintings and decor. The staff were all polite, helpful, attentive and even the owner came to our table after our meal to say hello and make sure we enjoyed everything. Definitely give Indian Village a try when you re passing by Ancaster. We will be back.
Excellent service, delicious food. We will come back soon!
Service was great, food came quick and tasted amazingly. A great taste of India and great portions for its price.
Tried this place based on reviews but unfortunately the food had weird after taste. I tried appetisers (samosa, cauliflower pakora and aaloo tikki). Samosa was dripping oil, aaloo tikki had a really bad after taste as if it was stale and cauliflower pakora was somewhat okay. The interior of the restaurant is phenomenal though
We always go to this place for Indian food. We tried a few places but not as good as this place. Our favourite is chicken jalfrezi medium spicy level. Having said that it hasn t been as good lately. Jalfrezi still okay but butter chicken was runny need a bit thicker and the curry beef was also runny. The beef was tender but I think they should cook it with the sauce to soak the flavour instead of boiled it in a separate broth. We also orders pakora but a bit too dark maybe too long in the fryer. We had it last Friday for dinner. Next time we will stick with the Jalfrezi.
India Village is our all time favourite restaurant! It is a great experience every time!! We ve been coming here since they opened and have never been disappointed. Fresh and delicious food, always clean, very friendly staff and we re always excited to come back!!
Very disappointing approach, they do not care for kids. And not cooperative at all. Sad!
Too rude ppl , we were with kids and they kicked us out just because no reservations( no where on website it s mentioned reservations only & no walk-in allowed) , btw when we entered we saw restaurant was empty. No Indian values and ethics . Bad customer service, Unreal ! We went to Ancaster location.
Very kind staff, delicious food and beautiful decorations. We came a little late and the staff still accommodated us. Thanks for the quality service! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options
This place never disappoints! Outstanding Indian food. One of our long-time faves is their Chicken Jalfrezi (creamy with the perfect complexity of warming spices). We order this elsewhere when we travel, but nothing tastes this amazing! My healthy go-to dish is the Tikka Haryali (usually I order the lamb, but tonight I changed it up and went for the chicken). Both offer a generous amount of meat and super-fresh green sauce (mint, coriander, spinach) .omg, divine! The pièce de résistance is the onion naan! Obviously the best when ordered in the restaurant although we always order for take-out too! The service here is excellent Sophie served us with smiles and provided prompt service. The dishes here are all fantastic (we ve been eating here for years, and when are adult children are home, we always eat here or order in). Jackie, the owner, is so welcoming and always visits at our table she is the heart and soul of India Village! Vegetarian options: Several and all delicious. Esp love the Dahl Makini and Tarka. Dietary restrictions: Jackie always has the chef cater to my low-fat, lots of veggies and high protein diet. Kid-friendliness: Love to see families here. Kids are always well-behaved and happy. If your kids are new to Indian food, order the gateway dish: butter chicken with plain naan and of course a sweet dessert!
Delicious!
The staff was fantastic. Incredibly attentive and kind. Food was delicious and the restaurant itself was very clean. Couldn t ask for anything more! Vegetarian options: Excellent and several vegetarian options
Great place for curry meal!
Best Indian food around. Parking: There is limited parking at lunch time. Food : 5/5 |
Amazing food and wonderful service.
Jackie and the staff at Indian Village Ancaster get 5 from me. I often go to Indian Village for their lunch tray during the week. The staff are warm and inviting, the service and food are high quality and consistent. In times where people are searching for value and real food. If you enjoy Indian food. Look no further.
The most delicious Indian food Ive ever had. Im usually the only vegetarian in the group and there were so many option. Staff was great and the room comfortable. A favorite!! Vegetarian options: Delicious variety
We want to try this restaurant on sunday, but its reservation only place, waited 20 minutes but no luck, They didnt mention this on their website or online, so advice them to mention on their marketing
Well run, clean, friendly, high quality food substantial meat portions. Note that this (as far as I know but I m not an expert) is more South Indian than North Indian food.
Food is super yummy
Love this place. Great lunch specials. Generous portions! Always made to feel you ate welcome.
The best Indian food in the area. We ve been eating at India Village since it opened and have never been disappointed with our whether it s dine-in or takeout.
It s restaurants like this that deserve a 6th star. Fantastic food well mannered service with a warm and welcoming atmosphere
One of the best indian restaurants in the area. Delicious
We went there for business lunch. Good service, yummy food with reasonable prices
First time at this restaurant. Best Butter Chicken and Saag Gosht. The lamb was so delicate and moist you could cut the meat with your fork. Medium heat was perfect.
Great food with a great range of options on the menu. Ordered takeout, and it was a long wait for the order; however, it all came out hot and fresh, so it was well worth the wait!
I ordered the spiciest dish on the menu- this is perhaps the spiciest meal Ive ever fully enjoyed, tears running down my face! A deep and complex flavour under all the heat, each bite was delicious!
Delicious food and fantastic value particularly on the take out meal for 4 with generous portions that make for lots of leftovers!
Always delicious and filling!
