Way too chewy and thick outer burnt crust. The issue is the water content of their dough . Its not good pizza I dont care what anyone says. They try to crisp it by over cooking it but their dough is terrible and doesnt allow for their cooking methods.. coming from a baker.

My first time here and my friend and I had the chicken parmisan entre with a chicken Ceasars salad . We were very impressed with the customer service ,gentlemen was very nice and accommodating. The price for the order was very reasonable considering the generous portions . Also we enjoyed the big comfortable booths where we enjoyed our meal . Overall we will be back again on our next visit to ancaster . Thank you to the management for such a nice place .

Fell in love with this place about a year a yea ago. My how things changed. Last night it was horrible Dried, cold, overcooked and under sauced wings, the garlic bread and cheese was so hard I was afraid of chipping a tooth . Yes, garlic bread was THAT hard. What a horrible waste of $70

I recently ordered a pizza from a JOES PIZZA(THE WORST), and I was extremely disappointed with what I received. The crust was thin and tough, lacking any kind of chewiness or flavor that you would expect from a good pizza. It was clear that the dough was made with low-quality ingredients and had not been properly kneaded. The toppings were sparse and unimpressive. The cheese was cheap and lacked any real flavor, while the sauce was bland and tasted like it had been sitting out for too long. The only saving grace was the pepperoni, which was slightly spicy and added some much-needed flavor to the lackluster pizza. To make matters worse, the pizza was incredibly overpriced. I paid a whopping $25 for a small, unappetizing pizza that was not even worth half that amount. It was clear that the pizzeria was trying to rip me off by charging exorbitant prices for a subpar product. Overall, I would not recommend this pizza to anyone. The low-quality ingredients, sparse toppings, and high prices make this pizza a complete waste of money. Save yourself the disappointment and find a different pizzeria that actually cares about the quality of their food. However, the bright side of this lackluster experience was the fact that the owner had the audacity to pursue in the act of harassment by purposely putting my parter in an extremely negative environment. He then kicked him out for eating with me.

As I perused the menu at my leisure, a sense of profound discomfort overtook me. To my dismay, proprietor of the establishment had taken it upon himself to intimidate and manipulate me, causing my already uneasy state to intensify. It Reeked of a mixture of rancid meat and moldy cheese, with a hint of sulfur and decay. It was overpowering and nauseating, like a sickly sweet stench that lingered in the air and made it difficult to breathe. The odor was so pungent that it seemed to cling to everything it touched, seeping into the walls and saturating every surface with its putrid presence. The aroma was so foul that it made my eyes water and my stomach churn. It was as if the stench had a life of its own, a malevolent force that filled the room and refused to dissipate. Even long after the source of the odor had been removed, its lingering memory remained, haunting me with its foulness. I hope this conveys a sense of the intensity of the odor while maintaining a level of appropriateness. Let me know if you need any further assistance!

We have tried many different pizza places in the Hamilton, Ancaster area and I have to say we always return to Joes Pizza. The crust is always done to perfection, freshness is fabulous and the taste is a wow, that was delicious . It is a bit of a drive for us but honestly well worth it.

They need to learn how to respect the customer and they are not respectful. If I could give less than one star, I would. :) Also cheap and not tasty ..... Food

The pizza and panzerotti from Joes are awesome. Our friday night go-to on multiple occasions. Unfortunately while picking up our order, the delivery person pulled into the lot and parked in a handicapped parking space. I advised the young man of his actions politely, however he assured me he would be in and out quickly. We picked up our order, 2nd in line, and while leaving the pizza shop, the black bmw with furry testicles hanging off of the front bumper was still parked in the handicapped spot delivery person nowhere to be seen. Not very cool. On the other hand, the pizza still tasted delicious.

We tried Veggie Pizza, Pasta Rose and Bruschetta - Epic taste and very fresh, all of these! Very rare that a restaurant makes every kind of food on the menu with such perfection. Absolutely delicious!! Highly recommended!!

Amazing pizza

On my birthday a couple weeks ago I ordered an X-large Joes special pizza with extra cheese and pineapple. When I got it the bottom crust was so soggy (not undercooked, just soggy) that I couldnt eat the pizza, it just fell apart. I called the place, which Id eaten at before, and explained the situation. I was told it was my own fault as Id gotten the 2 extra toppings and that I was lying. After some back and forth I was offered another pizza or a credit. I said I was no longer interested in pizza but would take a credit. So...tonight I finally felt like trying again to see if a different pizza would work better and asked for the pineapple on the side to avoid my previous mistake. She gave me my price and I said I was told Id get a credit. She said you did...$6.00 off. I was not pleased. I told her what Id been told and she said no, I wouldnt have been told that, so again I was called a liar. Im almost in tears. Why the hell would I have taken a $6 credit instead of another $35 pizza of a different kind? No one would. They were rude and condescending. Im thinking the place has been sold in the last while because I cant see the previous owner acting like this to a customer. Yes, I got upset, but wasnt out of line even after being called a liar. I just said Id let people know about the service and food, so here it is. (Actually the manager/owner wouldnt even get on the phone with me.) You dont call the people who keep you in business liars! Never, EVER, again will I deal with them.

Joe s is the family s go to spot for delicious pizza! Crust and sauce offer authentic flavour, there s always lots of toppings too. Service is quick and staff is efficient. Definitely recommend!

honestly, I am not going to put any ratings for the service and the atmosphere because it is not great at all. I am a student at Bishop tonnos, and every single time I go to this place for my lunch period, I would get my food, and I would sit down at the tables that are meant to be there for sitting down to eat. The owner , is literally the most rudest person I ve ever met to have his own business. I don t think he should get these good reviews because he is rude to every single student that walk in the door. We would all be sitting down at the table, eating our food, and he randomly kicks us out. Some of us weren t even done eating and he said thank you. Have a good day and get out and then he said that we are on the kicked out list so apparently he made a full list of how many students were kicked out just because we re sitting down and we re taking too long to eat our food but some people just want to take the time you can t randomly kick people out if we re not doing anything wrong and never caused any trouble. Honestly, I think he should lose his business because he is very rude..

I don t think you should worry too much about reading bad reviews about Joe s - As many of the business replies state, their issues are mostly with boisterous teenagers As a normal adult, I found their prices to be fair, their staff to be helpful and friendly, the store to be clean and smelling like a normal pizza shop. Maybe the store could use some decor or music. It s not the best pizza I ve ever had, but there is no such thing as bad pizza - it was a perfectly acceptable pizza. I called on a Saturday night for 7 pizzas and they had them ready for pick-up within 25 minutes. I m not sure what else could be improved beyond that! First of all, the owner of this restaurant is so rude and doesnt know how to deal with customers. You will experience zero customer service here. Secondly, if you buy something from here, you just have to eat it because you knew the money has been wasted and you have to eat it. There is no other option. Pizza crust becomes as hard as a rock after sometime making the pizza worst to eat. If you wanna waste your money on food then this is the perfect place. Overall there is zero restaurant ambience. Not a family place where you can just go and enjoy and if you have kids, dont even think of taking them here because if the kids try to have some fun here or if they make a noise, the owner doesnt gonna like it and pretend as your kids have broke the law of making some noise here. Lastly if you want to use the washroom here, they are locked all the time and you have to ask for the keys from the owner. Just crazy... Not recommended from my side at all..

I live in the neighborhood, but I will not be ordering again. I was told 25 mins to pick up, I got there right at 25 min and was told a couple more minutes which would have been fine, 20 mins later I finally asked where my pizza was. The first gentleman I asked completely ignored me, the guy I think is the owner looks over at me grabs the pizza he just sat on top of the oven, throws it on the counter no sorry about the wait or thank you even. On top of all this the pizza was burnt and not good at all. If this was a 1 off I might ignore it but this is the 2nd time these people have been rude to me. So yeah Im done.

Joe s Pizza has been our family s Go to for our weekly pizza/movie night since they bought the business from Emilio s Pizza several years ago. Over those years Joe s has consistently provided great tasting pizza at reasonable prices. We considered Joe s to best the best pizza shop bar none. Lately however, I agree with the other reviews that Joe s has started to be hit n miss with the product they are putting out to their customers. We ve had several instances over the past six months or so where the pizza is overcooked, dry and tasted more like cardboard than pizza. Joe s Pizza needs to get back its consistency in providing a quality product to its customers because it s evident from the reviews that its loyal customer base is starting to shrink.

It would appear that this place is possibly in financial trouble. Meatball subs are now half the meatballs!! Cheese has been reduced and customer service has dropped. I would rather he increases his prices and serves the same product.

This pizza shop has a large variety of pizza and pasta dinners, as I have been here 4 times already and love everything they have made for me already. Its definitely the best in the City of Hamilton and it is family owned too. Excellent services and amazing food. Thanks everyone!

Joe s has amazing pizza! Delicious, fast and in the neighborhood. What more could we ask for? They have the best pizza and is always delicious. Love the crust, fresh toppings and that we can enjoy leftovers the next day. Their pastas are phenomenal as well and their wings are great. You cant go wrong with Joes.

I walked in with my service dog clearly wearing a service dog vest and all of her gear. The man behind the counter told me he has the right to refuse me service because I am not deaf or blind and have a service dog... I continued to politely explain to him that is illegal and she is a fully certified service dog. He continued to raise his voice and get hostile with me, I was shocked and appalled. Clearly this place needs to educate their staff because this is discrimination and disgusting behaviour. Not to mention completely ILLEGAL. I wish there was someone I could contact about this..

Joes has by far the best pizza in Ancaster and theyre very nice and friendly. HOWEVER..... every time you call to order they will say your order will be ready in 20/25 mins.... every time....... Today I called at 5:12pm and I was told 20/25min... I showed up at 5:35 and I was told 10 more minutes. I went in at 5:45 and I was told 15 more minutes and they havent even started making it. This scenario happens FAR TOO OFTEN.. I dont mind that it takes 50 minutes, I want their pizza. But tell me it will be 50 minutes when I call so I dont have to spend a half an hour in the parking lot. People dont mind waiting for their pizza, but dont lie about the time it will take to make it. Let us sit at home and not in the parking lot.

Ordered a pair of pizzas last night for delivery. [first time customer] Short story: Easy to order (called in)... simple delivery (prepaid)... great pizza! Long story: Delightful and human conversation on the phone ordering. Delivery was as promised... prompt, polite... no issues. The important part... the pizza... Crust was very good! I would say perfect bake time for all tastes. Sauce was very tasty! Noticed a definitely a garlic flavour to it... but in very good balance. Better than most sauces I have had. Topping were on point! Lots but not over done. This is why I went 5 stars... all around great product! We will be back!

We used to love Joe s pizza but have been trying new places for a change. Came back to Joe s tonight and ordered two extra large pizzas with four toppings each What a disappointment! The quality has dropped so badly that Pizza Pizza would be an improvement. The crust was stale and tasted like a left over Pizza warmed up in a microwave. The toppings are still fresh but the sauce is bland with absolutely no flavour. Fortunately it was cheap

Had the chicken parmigiana which was pretty good with lots of spaghetti and cheese on it. Next time we decided to try the pizza. They got the toppings wrong and the crust tasted like cardboard and the toppings were scarce. Would go back for the parm maybe but not the pizza.

I ve been ordering pizza and wings from here for quite some time. Lately the quality and portioning has deteriorated. After our meal last night I decided I won t be ordering from here ever again. The wings were cold and the wing sauce was unexplainabley horrible. The pizza also cold and dry, with barely any cheese at all. I ve had to ask for double cheese just to get regular cheese! And I literally counted 8 thinly sliced mushrooms on my medium pizza which is probably 2 mushrooms. Basically we had a dry focaccia. Disappointing for sure. Use to be my go to pizza place. Not anymore. I ll eat a frozen pizza before eating here again.

Sick and tired of chain pizza that has gotten expensive and quality worse. Friend suggested Joes place and glad we did! Pizza was amazing. Only reason it didn t get a five star was the garlic bread wasn t very good. Looking at these reviews and harshness of owner and staff is brutal. Joe is authentic and doing a great job of supporting his staff, and the community with great meals! We ll be back for sure.

This place is a decent enough pizza restaurant. The pizza is always good and for a decent price. Though there are a few things I dislike hence the 3/5 stars. Firstly theres no decor to speak of and its very bland inside. Ive lived in the area for 15 years now and always would go to the restaurant while in high school. (Though theres been plenty of different name changes over the years like panabaker pizza and emillios) in the time its been open it hasnt changed one bit besides where the counter in situated and the type of counter top it is. Table and chairs are the same from high school and the interior has always been a boring beige white color. It needs some personality stat!. The people working there are alright too. They take your order and are nice enough. However there have been some miscommunications. One time my mom asked for a meatball sub on garlic bread with green peppers and onions. What she recieved was a plain meatball sub on plain bread and garlic bread with cheese, onions and green peppers. So that was a bit strange. Also their chicken alfredo is hit and miss. Sometimes its just right and other times is runny and barely warm. The meatball on the spaghetti and meatballs are definitely not homemade as they are a bit rubbery in texture. However I cant knock them on this to much as they are a pizza place first and foremost but these things are still worth pointing out. Their wings are pretty good though. So thats a plus. Overall its just decent and if we didnt practically live around the corner from it, I couldnt see us ever going out of our way to get food from here

We have recently moved to the area and learning our way around. We had a group of family and friends help us move in and we wanted to treat them with dinner. I googled pizza places near me and Joes Pizza Ancaster showed up and I decided to try them. I would like to start by saying we will definitely be ordering our pizza from here again. Not knowing how many pizzas and other sides I should order the gentleman on the line was extremely friendly and must say patient with all the questions I had. I wish I knew his name so that I could list it in my review. In the end I left him to place most of my order based on a few suggestions as I trusted his judgement. This is one of my favorite pizza places in Ancaster.The staff is always friendly. And there dough is what makes me love the pizza its soft and pillowy on the inside and crispy on the outside.
