Firehouse Subs Ancaster Wilson St. in Ancaster

Wow, last night my wife and I had the best subs that weve ever eaten from any Firehouse location. We like many of these subs cold but there is no option to order them cold online or in the app. Simple solution - place the order then immediately call the store and ask them to not heat. Works like a charm. Ordered the new French Dip with double meat (hot) and the Hero (cold). We can normally eat two large subs but these two were really Fully Involved - couldnt finish both but had a nice snack later. Excellent very friendly service, both on the phone and when I picked up the order. Great Job Ancaster crew! Well be back often.

Poor management, called numerous times throughout an hour to place a pick up order, no answer, decided to show up after the last call (all spaced out) and everyone was just standing In a circle socializing while I stood waiting to place an order

Sub was very good. I just was not expecting to wait as long for a sub. This was my first time at this restaurant chain I think next time I would be ordering online.

The food was delicious, it was a little dark in there though.

The meatballs in my sub, were so hard, I could have played sports with them, so disappointing. I wont be back.

Food is always sooooo good! We drive from brantford just to come and get subs and chilli!! Love it here. Staff is friendly, service is to be expected for a place that isn t necessarily a fast food restaurant. Overall great experiences!

I ordered a hook and ladder today and when I got home the bottom bun was just saturated. I asked not to have sub sauce put on so what made it so wet? I have had many hook and ladders and they have always been excellent. I did watch them try and drain the meat when it came out of the warmer but apparently they didn t do a very good job. So terrible I just threw it out. What a waste of time and money. You can do better Ancaster Firehouse Subs. If I could give you no stars I would.

IVE ONLY BEEN GOING TO FH SUBS FOR 2 YEARS NOW. I HAVE NEVER RETURNED TO ANY SUBWAY OR QUIZ AFTER TRYING FIREHOUSE SUBS. ONCE YOU TRY IT, YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND. UNREAL.

Got the wrong sub but I did start off my order wrong so Ill give them that. The sub I got had very fatty meat half of which I spat out. Not a napkin to be seen even though it was takeout and an extremely messy sub. I never thought I would say this but I preferred subway unfortunately and I was really excited to try this. Also a lady just before me in line got a card for a free sub because her sandwich took longer than their standard but mine took the same amount of time since I was right after her... Was weird to offer one customer a free meal but not the others waiting the same length of time? And it wasnt a long wait at all to begin with. I might go again just to see how the sub I actually wanted is but not a great start.

Just opened (May 2023) in Ancaster - this was my first try of Firehouse Subs and it was great! My family and I sat in for the meal and the employees were extremely kind and attentive. Im excited there is another option for subs in the area.

The service is spectacular and the sandwiches are all top notch. The service is far better than even in sit down restaurants and far more attention is paid to you as a customer. Best of luck!

Food was good. Ordered online for pickup at a specific time. Their system isnt working apparently. When I asked if my order was ready, they did not have a copy of it. I used their online system so they could avoid the fees associated with UBER. Disappointing that there was no good will gesture for the 10 minute delay. May not seem like a big deal to them but was in a bit of a time crunch. There was even some one (manager?, owner?) sitting at a table on a laptop and when was made aware of the issue didnt address me or apologize. Certainly not in a hurry to go back. Note - tried to leave this feedback online but the location is not added in the Firehouse database yet

When walking in the door, you are greeted by everyone. The food is absolutely amazing, it puts other sub shops in the dust. I love that you can round up to the next dollar and it goes to help fallen firefighters and their families. Food

ordered two steak and cheese subs with ranch dressing. Got NO CHEESE and no dressing. At least at Subway you can watch them put the toppings on, so we are going to stick with them.

Purchased our subs online for a certain time to pick up. I showed up about 10 minutes after the posted time we indicated we should arrive. When I arrived the subs weren t stated and I had to wait . The subs were decent sized but I don t think the value is there for what you spend. The subs were a mess to eat, the bread fell apart for the most part. I would go elsewhere for a sun in my opinion for value and quality

Got subs tonight. No pickle on the side for all three subs. Every other firehouse location gives pickles. They asked if we wanted the bun toasted and we said yes. Got home and they weren t toasted. Won t go back to this location again.

Ordered, there was no lettuce on my sub and very tiny bit of ranch. Very slow waiting time. Not overly impressed for the price.

Always getting the orders wrong and not the same as when they first opened then was 5 star forsure. I pay more I expect more this is NOT Subway ... Owner is such a nice guy I hope this changes quick

Great subs, but terrible prep times. Multiple times have placed an Uber Eats order, been given a 45 mins pick up (which already is quite long), and then still had to wait +15 mins after I got to the store.

Best sub place in ancaster/Hamilton I promise. Get the sweet and spicy meat ball and you will be so impressed than try the others. I m so happy I got a good sub place that s 10x better than mr sub. Food

I think the prices are reasonable for how big the subs are, the location is convenient and the service has been quick everytime so far

I cant believe that I havent yet taken a photo of a Firehouse Sub. I think thats because as soon as I get it and open the package my mouth turns into Niagara Falls. One hand quickly reaches for a napkin to deal with the drool and the other hand reaches for the sub. Before you know it, its gone. While they have an extensive menu, Ive only ever ordered the same thing, the smoked brisket & cheddar. It is without a doubt the best sub Ive ever eaten. I keep saying that Ill try one of their other sandwiches, but why mess with perfection?

Went to the place on tuesday for first time got great recommendation for the sub and tried pulled chicken medium sub, though it was busy, waited few minutes but was worth it. The girl at the cash sonia was so friendly, helpful and brought food to me.

On several food delivery websites and through their own online ordering system, it indicates that a tuna sub is available. However. this is not the case. I would strongly implore the ownership to handle this issues as its a huge inconvenience!

Love Firehouse Subs. Their subs are so good and are made from quality/fresh ingredients. And they dont skimp on the meat like other chain sub places. This is definitely my sub place of choice. This location is great. Friendly staff and clean.

The food is good but pricey. The brisket sub is my favourite. Unfortunately now twice I ve asked for additional veggies (banana peppers and sautéed onions) to be added and when I get home to eat they aren t on the sandwich.

The subs are extremely bad especially for how overpriced they are. Very bland tasting ingredients and soggy bread. For the price subway is better (and subway also tastes and is bad). Dont waste your time and money eating what they call food.

My first time at this chain. It looked great but the brisket I ordered should have been tastier. The atmosphere was not enjoyable at all. I will try another location to see if its any better before I write off this chain.

First time at this location and was amazed with the customer service the 2 staff you had in tonight were absolutely amazing, the food was also awsome! Firehouse never fails to deliver absolutely amazing food, great service, and nice updated dine in area. Highly recommend this location as its our new favorite spot to go
