I used to think there was no bad place for Shawarma until I went here. The sauce is basically a poud of mayo on chicken. Just gross.

Got coupons in the mail today so my husband and i decided to have it for dinner. Only us in the store, the two people behind the counter were talking they didn t notice we came in. When I handed her the coupon she automatically said they close in a half hour so there wasn t rice - ok I ordered a salad and husband ordered a wrap, the cashier rolled her eyes and then put it in the system and from that moment she made it seem like it was an inconvenience that we ordered something still. Just was just ok, won t be the first place we pick for shawarma next time.

I went into this restaurant last Friday and ordered a wrap. I went into the washroom to find it in a disgusting condition, and the toilet seat completely covered in urine. I went to the counter and mention to the girl about the condition in hopes that she would have it cleaned as there are two people working. Her response was we haven t looked at it yet today . it was 1 o clock in the afternoon. Neither girl, went and made any attempt to clean it. I was also the only person in the restaurant as a customer, so there s no reason why one of them couldn t. I asked for my money back because with that kind of cleanliness condition, I was concerned about the cleanliness of the kitchen. They refused me. I ended up throwing the food in the garbage after leaving. I did notice a realtor padlock type unit on the door, so I m wondering if the restaurants up for sale and nobody actually cares anymore.

Great osmow s great quality. I always enter osmow s for falafel wraps and trust me, they serve best in Ancaster. Good job Osmow s and employees working there.

Always easy to get hold of can easy navigate menu when not on a cheat day. Shawarma is always fresh and tasty. Parking: Lots of spots and space for parking in the area.

Unfortunately have never tried it because, despite their slogan being were makin what youre cravin, they never have what Im cravin. I have tried this same location at different times of day and different days of the week and they have never had the beef kofta. It is on their menu, it has never been removed from their menu as an option. The third time I went I even asked when they normally have beef kofta. I was told they get shipment of the kofta on Thursdays. I went Thursday. No kofta. Either take it off the menu or change the slogan. If youre out of something, fine, but 4 times? And being told well have it Thursday and still nothing? A couple of times I went I decided I would try something else on the menu when they didnt have kofta. But both times I tried that of course they also didnt have lamb, or beef shawarma. Only had chicken, so the cheapest thing on the menu. At this point Im convinced this location never orders more expensive or less popular items but they dont bother to take it off the menu either. I even sent in a complaint about this location and requested a response, but received nothing. This gives me no choice but to assume the entire chain doesnt care and its not even a specific location problem. If you like kofta try Golden Pita across the street. Its a local shop with a lovely family running it. Dont bother trying Osmows because unless you want chicken shawarma, they dont seem to ever have what youre cravin.

Worst location I have ever been to. Walked in to found the gentleman behind the counter texting and didnt even look up to acknowledge I was there. Waited at the counter for about 30 sec with no interaction. As the he still texted then wiped his nose with his hand. After seeing that I left. The counter person finally acknowledged my presence as I was half to the door and ask what I wanted to order.

First time ever at this chain. Had the Monday special. Philly cheese on rocks i think? Advised by staff to order Mild (1 pepper). It was so hot my mouth burned for 15 minutes after only a few bites. Drinking did not relieve it. And I dont normally mind hot food. Ended up throwing it out. I cant imagine what the 7 pepper heat level would be.

Bought the box. One half is a salad the other half is topped up with fake middle eastern rice (lesser quality than Uncle Bens) with a light coat of meat on top. Payed $19 for this. When I asked the server to put a little bit more garlic sauce on top she said thats an extra charge. Nothing has changed with this place. Indians making & serving you middle eastern food and topping you up with rocks.

I dont normally do reviews but, I go to this Osmows regularly and it has been fairly decent. I always specifically ask for less garlic sauce and no hot sauce on my meal. Today the owner was making my meal and he doused it in garlic sauce and covered the whole thing with hot sauce. Its barely edible. The hot sauce burned my mouth. The garlic sauce is overflowing. Thats gonna be my last time coming here.

the rice was dry, the chicken was dry and their medium hot sauce is the HOTTEST sauce Ive ever had and it ruined what was at best a mediocre dinner. Never again.

Great place for fresh food

Owner was nice, female worker preparing the food was not very welcoming or friendly. The food portion was okay but there was lack of flavour in the rice. White sauce was okay. I recommend the go elsewhere when craving shawarma in the area (Safin grill on upper paradise is my favourite).

Really loved the location of the place and the food options it offers, everything tasted just right with the combinations, nothing was too overpowering and everything brought the best flavor mixed. Vegetarian options: It offers falafel and now also beyond meat for good vegetarian options

Absolutely love Osmows Chicken Shawarma! The flavors are spot-on, and the meat is always perfectly cooked and juicy. The generous portions and fresh ingredients make each bite a delight. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service. Osmows has become my go-to spot for delicious shawarma highly recommend!

Staff is very rude. Told me I couldnt dine in without a QR code because its protocol. I had dinner last night at the keg and they allowed me to go inside without scanning a QR code. also the shawarma was cold.

Just received a Lamb Shawarma poutine and it was the most disappointing meal I have ever had. The Lamb was like a burnt ground beef with absolutely no flavor, the fries were cold and had a grainy Sand like texture to them. The spice was flavorless like a old pepper. It was ordered through Skip the dishes so maybe it was sitting in the drivers car for the entire 50 minutes it took to arrive. But it resembled food that day sat on an uncovered plate in a fridge for 2 days. My favorite food is Lamb Corma poutine from another franchise so I am a large fan of this type of food. But I will never order from this place again!! Perhaps ordering at 8pm was part of the problem. Aside from the few mouthfuls I ate the rest went into the garbage.

Dont go here!!! Edited March 24 2022. I made the mistake of trying this place again and same result, i ordered the Osmows special which is supposed to have pineapple but it had none. I called to inquire about what happened and was first lied to, then the truth that they had forgotten it came out as the girl was laughing about it horribly unprofessional!!! I def wont be returning to this location!! I called my order in 30 min before arriving hoping to not lose all my lunch time, but ended up standing there for 20 min after I got there to wait for them to make the next 5 orders that came in after I did. Not only did I lose my lunch time to actually eat but of course after half my order sitting for that long it was cold. Very disappointing

Poor customer experience. I visited 30 minutes prior to close and ended up leaving without ordering because the workers just seemed like they wanted to go home. The menus were already turned off, and despite being open the workers seemed unwilling to serve. Disappointed with the service, and do not recommend over the alternatives in the area. This location is a last resort for me.

I went to a different Osmows tonight and I definitely regretted it. This location is amazing in Ancaster, the Upper James was bland, overcooked and stingy on portions. This location in Ancaster has always been consistently good with their food and I will make sure to always come back here in the future. Upper James was like it was just pretending to be an Osmows. And the worst possible knockoff version possible.

They say they are open until a certain time but if you arrive with less than an hour to close, 30min prior in my case, they will tell you they only have one or two things available. In my case I am vegetarian and they said they could not make anything and the staff gave attitude when I asked if they could make one of the options. They start closing too early and lost business as a result. They were happy to see me leave This has happened multiple times which is why I m giving 1 star, I can understand once or twice, and I m not hasty to leave a bad review, but over 5 times now they start closing with an hour left of time on the clock. If you are open until a certain time then serve your customers until then. I ve seen other people leave as well for not being able to order what they want. NOTE TO ALL: do not go if they close within one hour.

Two times. Two bad experiences. Go Tango is way better, IMO.

The only good thing is spice they add up on the top of shawarma. Need better customer service.

Mediocre to decent food. Just wish they focused more on cleanliness and friendliness. Upper James location also stuggles with cleanliness. I shouldnt have stuff on my shoes after walking to the bathroom. Its gross. The lady that helped me was not friendly. I cant see this place lasting very long the way its going. They always have a tip option for whatever reason before you even get service, so dont bother tipping because they dont seem to have gratitude. 2 stars because the food is sometimes good.

I have had better Lebanese food experience. The staff was not at all interested in taking order or prelaring food. Least interested and the Philly melt tasted the same as chicken shwarma. Waste of money.

I m not usually a fan of osmows but when I had it from here it made my day. The staff was so nice, friendly and helpful. I ordered a chicken on the rocks and it was amazing they put a lot of everything, the chicken was so soft and juicy. Will definitely come back I loved it!

Im a massive Osmows fan, and probably eat at other locations 1-2 times a week. This particular location seems to have a real quality control problem though. Chicken is frequently over-cooked and nearly burnt. Staff have no idea how to property roll up a wrap, and it makes a mess. Hot sauce portions are completely different from other locations. Honestly it just seems like theres minimal training and oversight here. Sad, since Ancaster has no other good shawarma restaurants (Tango is terrible). I usually drive to the Brantford Osmows location now - much better quality there.

The Ancaster location is a go to place for quick and easy Mediterranean food. The staff was very patient with me when I placed my order as I asked a lot of questions. They offered valuable suggestions to assist me with my order, and also were generous with the toppings. I ordered a platter (one meal) which was just enough for two people, but I also grabbed some extra pitas & sauce on the side. Definitely good value. Food was tasty, and I picked it up on a Friday evening without any hassles.

I highly recommend this place. I ordered the chicken shawarma poutine and it was heavenly good. The amount of fries, cheese curds, gravey and a special sauce was just perfect. Every bite was deliciously good. It was my first time having a good poutine that I would not end up having dry fries after few bites. Even my little toddler loved the poutine and ate alot of it.The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Today is my second visit since the poutine was soo good. Another great point is that everything have sizes including shawarma sandwiches; i mean the large is very big. So if youre hungry and come from work this is the best place!

Tonight was my 1st time ever going to an Osmow and I had a few questions about the menu and all the girl did was roll her eyes and shake her head at me. The food was ok but my shawarma fell apart after I few bites.

Ordered chicken on the rocks, and chicken on salad for takeout. Here are a few complaints: -shawarma was in big pieces and wasnt cut properly, even had tendon pieces, and clearly the chicken wasnt cleaned properly. -shawarma shouldnt be cooked on the flat grill, where are the authentic shawarma grill skewers? - kitchen and its floor was very dirty -unprofessional customer service, person at the counter was speaking on the phone in her native tongue while taking my order. My wife and I decided that this will be the last time we order from Osmows. Sorry but I Dont recommend this place.
