Bad and good. Bad: This is a photo of the Singapore noodles which were extremely salty and greasy. It was inedible. Good: But the Tom Yum soup with noodles was very delicious! I wish I only got the soup. The Singapore noodles was a waste of money.
Ordered the chicken and shrimp pad thai, with a side of rice and spring rolls that were forgotten. Pad Thai noodles were basically oil noodles. No flavour at all just oily, I got 2 pieces of shrimp in my noodles, which is confusing to me because it said shrimp and chicken. The rice was as fresh as spring water. The worst and most disgusting Pad thai I've ever eaten in my honest opinion. Waste of time and money. I wouldn't even give this place a second chance because of the disappointed the food was. Straight in the TRASH!!
The lady who was serving the food was rude and racist. We brought the food for our six years son who cannot eat anything from that place. She said to us outside food is not allowed. I can understand that it may not be allowed in some restaurant to bring outside food. Respecting that we took the food outside the restaurant immediately. However, the table next to us was celebrating birthday party with cake from outside. As our experience was not pleasant, we did not offer any tip. The lady was literally asking us why we did not tip. Tip is not mandatory in any restaurant in Canada. If tip is mandatory then mention it before you start taking the order. We did not tip because of your racist, double standard behaviour. If serving non-white people hurt your ego, then mention it in the front door of MY THAI. There are many other restaurant, we can go to dine in. Please do not hurt the feelings of couple who bring their young kid to spend a nice evening.
We have eaten here a number of times for lunch and it's consistently delicious. The staff are attentive and the food arrives quickly. They have very reasonably priced lunch specials and this time we got the Pad Thai and Singapore Rice Noodles - both so tasty and flavourful. I also love their Sweet Soy Noodles.
Staff is always friendly. Wings are amazing. Also recommended the deep fried ice cream if they have it.
I have always wanted to try this Thai restaurant, and tonight I was able to. I ordered Sweet soy noodles with chicken, spicy. I also ordered 4fresh spring rolls and asked if they could do shrimp. They said yes for an additional $4.00. I said I would get one order please. I got an ice tea to go. The total was just over $40. The fresh spring rolls were so terrible. I have made better ones myself with my limited knowledge of Thai cooking. There was one maybe 2 shrimp in the whole thing and they were falling apart it was messy, and difficult to eat. I don’t recommend them. Not worth the price. The peanut sauce was thick. Like crunchy peanut butter. I didn’t care for the texture or crunchy peanuts crushed into it. That’s just my personal preference. It did taste like peanut sauce it was just different. The Pad SeeEw, or sweet soy noodles were ok. The flavour profile was good. It was a little dry, the chicken was dry too. Not enough sauce. I got a big chunk of green pepper a random cauliflower piece in my dish. It seems sloppy and hurried. It was ready in 15 minutes. I would be willing to wait and be happy with some amazing Thai food. Disappointing is an understatement. If I spend $40 on one person and pick it up myself it should be topnotch. I would give this restaurant 6 stars if I could. The owner herself reached out to my immediately and asked if I would try it again. She was so kind and appreciated my comments. I picked up the exact same order tonight and it was 5 stars. The peanut sauce is no longer stored in colder climates so it stays creamy. The rolls were perfectly wrapped and filled with shrimp. I do take into consideration that everyone can have an off day. Thank you to everyone at My Thai in Ancaster. Amazing staff and hospitality.
Great food! Lovely and quick service. Loved the fried rice and pad Thai
My-Thai is better than your-Thai! We came here with a group of 8 of us. It was close to closing in the accommodated us, which we really appreciated. As we drove quite a ways out of Hamilton downtown to come and visit them. But I have to admit that the drive was worth it. There were lots of use of peanuts and the food was fresh and spicy when it needed to be. The curries were full of flavor the noodles were nice and balanced and the vegetables were fresh. Can't think of anything wrong and everything was as expected. The restaurant was big and look like it could cater to a good amount of people. Food did come out quickly and on point. We had some vegetarians in our group and they easily catered to their requirements. My favorite dish there was the pad Thai noodles, I asked for it to be spicy and noodles did not stick to each other. We also ordered the basil and beef as well as the chicken option. And then we also ordered the chicken 🐔 satay skewers 🍡 with the 🥜 peanut sauce
My Thai in Ancaster is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is always fresh, flavourful, and consistently amazing. Highly recommend for delicious Thai cuisine!
Way too overpriced for what you get. I got the chicken pad Thai - it was ok! Just a couple of pieces of chicken and I paid $20.00. Way too much money for couple pieces of chicken and noodles!
Great food. Great flavours. Best coconut sticky rice!!
Excellent Thai food and ambiance is great and relaxing
Always fast and fresh, we love visiting and getting takw away!
I love the sweet soy noodles, they are my go to. The spring rolls are also very tasty!
Found a piece of metal in my food. A wire brush or like staple or something. Also wasn t very tasty and was worried to eat it after I found this.
ordered AHA sparkling water that is on their menu - the waitress had no idea what I was talking about nor did the others on staff - so no AHA water. Order chicken wing appetizer and in barely made it home one hour later with the worst cramps ever. Spent the entire night on the toilet - never ever ever again
Very warm welcome. Professional and courteous service. Excellent food!
We did a take out tonight and I feel ripped off! . The pad thai is so tasteless and to be 18 dollars + I want to see some chicken, shrimp, and tofu since its the trio original but it was two shrimps and three pieces of chicken literally. Veggies not cooked in the fried rice properly. Pad thai has no sauce nor it was mild as ordered! I had to put siracha and my bottled store bought thai sauce to be able to eat it so it actually has a taste! The soup was 8 dollars and I think they made a mistake with the size because its smaller than a tims medium soup cup ?! Don t waste your money here. Spending 80+ in this economy with food like this seems very unfair and scammy!
Food of course was amazing, sevice excellent Never a bad experience Food
Love this place- delicious food and wonderful service
Delicious meal everything we go!! Definitely recommend the Green Thai chicken curry!! So delicious and friendly service :)
Great food. Service was quick and friendly. We bought their peanut sause. Rolls were fresh and delicious. We keep going back.
Excellent Thai food! Pad Thai is amazing.
Over priced for mediocre food. The shrimp and vegetables in the curry were over-cooked.
Ordered through Uber. Huge waste of money. The food was very bland and tasteless. The chicken breast was poorly portioned in all preparations, lacked taste of the seasonings and vegetables were not sautéed properly. For almost a $20plus chicken dish have a heart to give a decent portion. We are huge fans of Thai food and during all our travels rely on Thai restaurants all over the world, must say this was the very worst we had so far. Ruined it for us, we regret recommending My Thai to our friends yesterday. Never again for us. My Reply to your comments below: 1. As for your explanation below, first thing I would say is your reply is very reflective of your service. I suggest, take ownership and respond like a manager and a leader. Don t play the blame game. 2. I am not comparing your food to Thailand. I am comparing your food to Spain, Italy, Hawaii, other parts of the Europe/US and Canada. I understand very well that taste of Thailand cannot be expected at My Thai. 3. I order from Uber all the time and third-party does not deteriorate the taste or quality especially when the food came within 40 minutes. 4. After reading your reply, I understand that room for improvement is dependent on you owning up like a leader with a positive attitude. 5. If I was looking for a refund or an exchange, I would ve let Uber know. Food to be saved and refrigerated for you to exchange the next day is hilarious. Just so you know, majority of the people at the get together wasted their orders and that was money down the drain. 6. Don t worry about me asking for my money back. That s not how I do business.
Excellent thai food. Pad thai is made how you like it. Food is ready extremely quick. Love this place for a yummy lunch. Food
Went for lunch. Service was very nice and food was quick. Food was good as usual
Food and service is always good.
Went to try this place out and we stood at the front door for about 15 mins waiting for someone to seat us. After 3 ladies finished bringing take out orders without acknowledging us at all we asked if we could be seated. They said we close at 8 sorry. I dont care how good the food is, or if it even is good but we will never know I will never come back or recommend this place to anyone.
Pad Thai was light on chicken, light on shrimp, light on flavour... Mediocre at best. Take-out with no utensils provided, no hot sauce, and no chance of returning.
It was my first time coming here , the owner made sure I left happy. Everyone here is so welcoming I ordered two drunken noodles and green curry and was given free spring rolls !! So yummy
Little on the pricy side for the serving sizes but its always been fresh
Tom sum is delish. Nice and hot.
Best food
The red curry is divine. All the dishes we ordered were amazing. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant is a gem. Wheelchair accessibility: Entry was accessible. Not sure what the bathrooms but I imagine they are
I have been eating at my Thai since the late 2000s the food i recevied today was just unacceptable for the pricepoint and quality. YOUR REVIEWS HAVE BEEN ON A STEADY DECLINE YEAR AFTER YEAR DOES THAT NOT TELL YOU A MAJOR CHANGE IS NECCESSARY?????..The food i recevied today was what you call now druken noodles...way overcooked slop just discusting...i didnt have the energy to drive back and request my money....i will no longer be recommending nor eating at you establishments untill you decide to make a major change..just digusting!Looks like since you have franchised all ypur interests is in money/profit and quality/portions has gone south...good luck on long term viability!
Good food and good company
I cannot say enough good things about this place! I am ADDICTED to their pad thai. I order it at least once a week. Its a massive portion and lasts me at least 3 meals. Their currys, chicken satay, fresh rolls... all amazing! Wonderful service and even better food. 10/10
I had this amazing shrimp fried rice with Jasmine rice. It tasted so good! I have visited a few times now and the quality of service and food is consistent each time I visit this restaurant.
Love this place! The Thai Spring Rolls are the best ever! Parking: Easy parking in strip mall parking lot
I ordered gluten free rice paper rolls and the menu said 4 pieces. When I received my order there were 2 rolls cut in half to make it look like 4. Placing the quantity as 4 on the menu is misleading. I understand times are tough but common. It was delicious though I can t deny that.
Great tasting food, nice atmosphere.
Pretty tasty and prompt service. Washroom is a bit dark.
We love My Thai! The food is always fresh, hot and delicious! Also, as someone with Celiac disease it s refreshing to see a restaurant with gluten free options. Tonight we ordered two different fried rices, mango salad and fried spring rolls. Everything was yummy! The woman who was working when we picked up the food was lovely as well. My gluten free egg free fried rice was delicious!! Highly recommend them! Dietary restrictions: They are great with gluten free options!
Enjoy the great taste and large portions.
Good Thai food! They ve really simplified their menu from a couple years back, so there only seems to be the most popular dishes. Otherwise it s great for takeout or dine in!
I ve grown up eating here for every special occasion and it s truly my favourite thai food in ontario. Never disappoints I only have good things to say.
Closed too early.
Sadly ordered 2 pad thai, delivered came quick but no sauce shrimp and chicken were dry over cooked probably our Last time ordering from My Thai once a favorite
Worst take out meal ever. Beef and broccoli, beef was so tough it couldn t be eaten. Pad Thai had two shrimp and virtually no chicken Containers were barely half full and very expensive. Better deals elsewhere! This used to be a good restaurant but not any more, we won t be back
Emerald curry with shrimp-really good Other things we had were also really good, cant remember the name of them now.
Great Thai food
Ordered the fried rice with seafood and got an extra topping of mesh steel in my food. Will never order from there again.
Lovely lunch yesterday. Food was great and server was very helpful.
Got my Thai for takeout tonight, everything was delicious. I got some chicken/vegetable fried rice and was surprised by how fresh the veggies were, as some places just throw in frozen veggies. I also got the Pad Thai and it was great!
First time dining, though Id heard positive reviews. I was extremely pleased with the quality of food and presentation, the atmosphere was quiet as we came in for lunch but I can imagine the dinner atmosphere would be jumping. Excellent Pad Thai! Highly recommend and will definitely come again! Food
Good food and service!
Great food. Sometimes it s okay. But most of the time is great. Mango salad is alway meh. They usually aren t ripe. Parking: Great for cars. The lines are straight. Kid-friendliness: Good food for kids.
The quality of the food has decreased. Less ingredients in each of the dishes. Smaller shrimp and different noodles in pad Thai- very little red pepper and cilantro in mango salad etc. disappointed compared to two months ago Food
Oct 28/23 In September, take-out Thai Basil/chicken cost $17. Today it costs $21. A $4 (24%) increase. Why? They now force you to take their white rice as part of the meal. Well, I cook my own healthier brown rice at home. New ownership, new staff. One less customer now after a very long patronage. Oct 28/23 Response to your reply. Take-out is different than dine-in. COVID did not stop me from going to your business for some take-out to help you stay in business. Getting take-out means no dishes to pick up and clean. I always paid with cash so that your business gets 100% of the money instead of paying with a credit card to give a % of the money to the credit card company. You get all the money and I would always put a tip in the jar. A customer should not be forced to buy anything extra, especially on a take-out order. You say your menu prices increased by 6.8% October 1. That means the increased cost of my take-out order should only have been $17*1.068=$18.15 and not $21. Today, you increased my cost by 24% ($4) on my take-out order because you forced me to pay an extra $2.85 plus tax for a side order of white rice that I did not want. I did not leave my usual tip. A side order of rice should be the customer s decision to order on a take-out order. Customers should not be forced to take rice on a take-out order because you would like to share more on how to enjoy a Thai meal . Now you have lost a long-time customer coming to your business.
Been ordering from here for a long time. The last two times the food has been below average and they have shorted us on additional chicken that we paid for two orders in a row. We certainly will not be coming back.
Excelente food accompanied by a gracious waitress in a cozy environment what else can you ask for?
Fast and friendly service. I had the pad thai and it had a good blend of ingredients. Great taste, very reasonable price.
We were looking forward to a birthday Thai lunch but unfortunately service and food here was disappointing. Both, the pad thai and coconut curry dishes along with the tofu and meat were very dry. Its unfortunate that the server was totally focused on the cost as opposed to food and service quality. Needless to say we wont be returning to this place.
Delicious food and excellent service. The girl served us was very polite and friendly.
Always a solid choice. My Grandmother loves it as well!
Awesome service great food
Food is ok but the price is too expensive
The Pad Thai was awful, however the Emerald Green Curry was Delicious... Dont think $40 is worth it for the 2 can share option 1... If the Pad Thai touches a little bit of the curry it tastes like port o potty smell... Therefore a bad match up. Ended up throwing out the Pad Thai and just sharing the curry.
Great food matched only by the great service we had.
We tried sticky mango rice, padthai, and banana roll with ice cream. Sticky mango rice was authentic and it was out of the world. Highly recommended. Very polite customer service. Overall highly satisfied.
Delicious pad Thai
Food is good, price is decent. Good place for a diner.
Excellent Food and service!
Ordered a red curry and rice for takeout. I am disappointed they packed it in the same box not in separate dishes. Now there is no sauce as its all in the rice and the rice is all soggy. This is not how you send food to go. Plus you charged $20 for a small portion. I am not happy how you have gone about your business. I will think twice before ordering here again.
Good Authentic Thai cuisine with good portions and spicey flavours . The price is also reasonable .
Only people in the whole restaurant and still took way too long for service. The staff was busy doing all the Uber eats orders, not serving in house guests first!!! Why bother with a store front restaurant at all? My pad tai was lousy.
Overall the service was really good, the pad Thai was excellent!! Others have had a bad experience, however the dine in experience is always the best way to go. Prices are more than fair, food is excellent.
Order here regularly, although I wish they still had the previous Pad Thai noodles, instead of the skinny ones :(
I really enjoyed my meal at My-Thai. I ordered the Mango Chicken and it was delicious. My wife had the Chicken Coconut soup and she also enjoyed her meal. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is conveniently located in Ancaster near most of the major shops. Ill be back! Parking: Ample parking out front of the restaurant.
Phenomenal food. Huge portions. Will 100% be ordering again
Great food, priced right. Friendly service...nice atmosphere...will return
Phenomenal experience at this restaurant. If you ever have the chance to go you should. I have only great things to say, great wait staff, and great food. I have traveled to Thailand to compare the food and believe it or not this is better.
It took a while to get our food (maybe take out is prioritized over dine in?) but that gave our group lots of time to talk. I love that the music isnt so loud that you can actually hear each other. The food was fantastic and the prices are reasonable for what you get.
This restaurant came highly recommended however we were very disappointed when we were there today for lunch. I ordered the mango salad to start and it was terrible. Not ripe and very sour. If they arent in season it should not be offered. My main course was the Massaman. The chicken (what little there was of it) was dry and tough. The dish consisted mainly of potatoes which were horrible. My husband ordered the lemon grass chicken which was also dry and tough. The prices are way too high for lunch size portions. Needless to say we will not be back.
I loved having a quiet lunch there at least once a week before the pandemic. I always order their green curry, be it chicken or beef! Superb over jasmine rice . And their spring rolls are so good!!!
Great food
The restaurant is nice and clean. The staff are extremely nice and inviting folks. But the food is probably the most Canadianized Thai food I have ever had! Absolutely no flavour. What I mean is there is no spice to the food. Even the subtle thai flavors you would expect are lacking. The chicken seemed to be steamed. I will not order from here again.
Great customer service. The emerald curry is so delicious! Such great complex flavours.
Not only did they forget to include my padthai. They passed off the blame to uber eats. Also extremely ill afterwards (stomach) would never recommend.
Definitely not worth the price my the food was undercooked, The only good thing was the spring rolls but those were greasy. I would not recommend spend your money somewhere else.
Ordered the pad thai & calamari for dinner tonight. Super delicious and overly generous servings!! Customer service was great. We drove in from Port Dover bc we were craving thai food and this really hit the spot. Will 100% be returning! Love this place.
One of the better viet Thai restaurants. Larger portions than authentic Thai restaurants, but not quite as good. If you want value over quality, this is the better place to go. If you care about quality and dont care about the price, then Bangkok Spoon in Dundas. Both places are good for different reasons.
We were disappointed with the quality of the food, not a repeat.
Taste food when in a rush and dont feel like cooking, but is best to order ahead
Love their food. Service was a bit slow especially since we were the only table.
This was my absolute favourite Thai restaurant but the service is atrocious. We went on Friday night to dine-in just over an hour before close. We waited a long time to even be acknowledged and when we finally got somebody s attention she said it was too late to seat us. This wasn t posted anywhere and had they actually acknowledged us when we came in there would have been plenty of time. After they refused to seat us, we asked to place a takeout order instead which the waitress agreed to. And then she promptly walked away and helped people who came in after us. So we walked out. Super disappointed and frustrated.
Pad Thai is fantastic. good amount of chicken and shrimp in here. though I ordered on uber eats and did not get any cutlery. luckily I had my own. also its a bit expensive for the amount of food I got.
Wasnt my usual wonderful experience tonight but owner did try to make it up. Have always enjoyed in past.
If i could give zero stars I would. My colleagues and I ordered via Uber Eats and we were missing an item. No big deal this happens. However after we called to tell them the issue, Jamie at this location HUNG UP on us. Completely inexcusable.
Good service, good price, fair size portion, I am not a seafood eater so I went with chicken and cashews. Good choice.
Great food, friendly service, would eat there again!
The absolute BEST Thai food we have ever eaten. A group of 4 visited the restaurant and we all were blown away by the quality of food, the delicious dishes and the service. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Each of us ordered something different and tried each item... coconut chicken soup was delicious, mango salad the best, Thai spring rolls, mango chicken, shrimp fried rice, chicken and noodles and royal scallops were all fantastic. Finished off the meal with deep fried ice cream and banana spring roll for dessert. The entire meal was first rate. Have eaten at many Thai restaurants in different cities (Toronto, London, Sarnia, etc) and none have ever come close to the freshness of ingredients and quality of food. Top it off with fantastic service by our waiter and it made for a memorable meal. Definitely would consider driving 2 hrs from home just to eat here again (we were travelling and catching a flight next day). Well done. We will be back!
Awesome lunch location and good food
Fantastic food
The food has always been top notch! The staff is friendly and the service and wait times are perfect as well. Recommended!
My favourite restaurant!
We ordered pad thai, skewers and spring rolls. My husband picked it up on time but the food was ice cold. Spring rolls were good, chicken was okay but somewhat dry and the Pad Thai tasted like the smell of dog food. We ended up settling for box Mac and cheese. Such a disappointment as we are new to Ancaster and we were trying to find a Thai restaurant. Sadly, I don t think we will be back.
Food cold! Not very Good At All
Food was good, but nobody was properly wearing a mask when I got there. One lady had none at all and another was on her phone with the mask under her chin. Seems like a positive atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the rest seemed to be set up well from what I saw. Other than the masks, I have no complaints.
Excellent food.. Very tasty. Great service!!! Good times!!
got the pineapple curry today via uber eats. package was poorly sealed so curry already started to leak in bag. the curry itself has a watery consistency. round it out with hard green beans, bland chicken and pineapples and theres your dish Really disappointed in this dish unfortunately
Ordered take out on thanksgiving Monday. Part of the order was a gluten free pad Thai. We drove 15 minutes there and another 15 back and when we were just about to pull into the driveway, we got a call saying the cook made a mistake and that it was not gluten free. So, we drove all the way back to pick up the new order, which they wouldn t refund us and the other part of the order was now cold. When we got back and were finally eating, the new order of gluten free pad Thai had a long hair embedded in the tofu...
This restaurant is great! They have great service and wonderful food.
Frequent flyer. Always great food and service. Going again with the fam tomorrow for lunch!
My husband and I went there for an impromptu lunch while in the area and we were so happy we decided to dine there! The food was fantastic and their lunch special was very reasonably priced. Our server was super friendly and pleasant. Will definitely return when in the area again!
Good food, Good prices. Weve eaten there a number of times. Always good. Recommended.
Very enjoyable meal and ambiance
Im a huge fan of this place and have been eating here for years. I ordered take out, $60 worth, and came home feeling really ripped off. I asked for spicy rice and you can see the peppers were thrown on afterwards rather than cooked together. The cashew chicken was like half a portion. The pad thai seemed to be about accurate.
Ordered takeout and it was done quickly, but the food was terrible. We ordered Golden Calamari and it was lukewarm and like chewing a rubber tire, and I asked about a recommendation for massaman curry, but when we got home, there was no rice. I think if someone asks for a recommendation, please recommend rice with the order. The spring rolls were a total disappointment, though. 4 tiny spring rolls that were the only edible part of the meal.
consistantly good thai food
Super friendly service but the overall taste of food was below expectations.
Excellent Thai food
Amazing pad thai
Honestly really poor quality food.....I ordered pad Thai and it was mediocre at best. The tofu in it has a weird citrus/spoiled taste. The worst part was that we ordered the fried ice cream and it had clearly been pre-fried and then put back in the freezer....it was rock solid and didn t have the warm flakey outside that is to be expected when eating fried ice cream. It was so hard that when I tried to take a scoop with my spoon the ball of fried ice cream flew off of the plate and rolled across the table! Would not recommend this place to anyone honestly...
Great service, food and reasonably priced
I agree with the review below. The food tasted like microwaved canned curry and It lacked flavour and the vegetables clearly weren t fresh
I enjoyed the meal very much. Extremely satisfying and tasteful meal. Reasonable prices and very comfortable ambulance. I think it is an excellent restaurant to dine at.
Great service and food was amazing.
Love this place, delicious food, served nice and hot. I absolutely recommend this place. Great service too!
The food is okay. It could use a bit more flavour. Regardless, they do have some good dishes, although I tend to prefer lemongrass near Garth street. If you want a quick meal though, its not a bad place to go within Ancaster.
Good local Thai restaurant in Ancaster, the staff is friendly and the food has not disappointed. My go to dishes are the pad thai and the shrimp fried rice, both are excellent, enjoy!
I have eaten there many times and I have never been disappointed yet , always good
Ive been coming here for years, literally. Ive dated, gotten married, had a child, survived a bitter divorce, and rebuilt my life from scratch in the time Ive been going to my-thai. But through it all, nothing has changed here. Especially the seat cushions which are now as cracked and damaged as my human spirit. Great food, perfect service but seriously guys think about renovating.
Good food.
Food was fantastic!
My favourite thai spot Would like to see fresh rolls with shrimp or beef instead of just all veggie
Great service and food! Have been going for a few years and always pleased with my choices! Go try it for yourself!
Great service, good food
Its been my familys meeting spot for years. Comfortable dining area, great service and great food!!
I used to love coming here but then got very sick after eating pad thai. It seemed like the staff either rushed or dropped it or something. But the sickness was very classic food poisioning symptoms.
Hit or miss
We really enjoy my Thai. The food is always delicious and great service
Ordered takeout pad thai. Made quickly and tasted great.
Excellent curry dishes and pad thai. Gracious hospitality. The atmosphere was lovely. Very good place for spending quality time with a loved one.
Great food and friendly service
Great
Small portions. Good taste.
Small portion vs last time we went. I used to enjoy this restaurant now ...not so much.
